Another day in the university is done. Sky and Sigma walk together while Fresh flies above them going home first. The hot sun shines over them as the heat starts to make them sweating.

“Hey, Sky…. Wanna go get a drink?” Sigma says between her breathes.

“Yeah. The sun’s lit now.” Sky lets out a blow from his mouth.

Luckily for them, there’s a cafe close to the university. To add more joy, it gives a cut to all beverages due to the heat. As Sigma sees the cut price sign, she grabs Sky’s hoof and immediately run like a pony who has been in a dessert for days without water finally finding an oasis.

Upon entering the cafe, they find out that it’s quite crowded with customers, a little bit like a concert. Fortunately, the cafe has provided many fans on the ceiling to prevent the interior gets hotter from many customers. As Sky and Sigma struggle their way in, Sky spots seats for four ponies.

“Over there!” Sky points at the seats he spotted.

“Well, let’s get-” Sigma stops speaking as Sky teleports them both onto the seats, her eyes are widen with her glasses tripped a little.

“Done.”

“Time efficient.” Sigma smiles and put her glasses into her shirt pocket.

Sky winks, then rise his hoof to call the waitress. Unfortunately, due to the customers almost filling the entire cafe, he can barely gets any. For seven minutes, they wait and attempt to call any waitress or waiter. Finally, one notices them and walk to them.

“Good afternoon, young ponies. What can I get for you two?” The waitress says as she hands Sky and Sigma the menu.

“So, what do you want?”

“This one looks good….”

Sky shakes his head a little while deciding a beverage to order, “Uhh, I-I’ll take the Berry Jack.”

“And I….” Sigma looks at the menu again. “Mint Apple Soda.”

“Oh yeah. Also, a plate of Popping Strawberries bananas, please.”

“Alright, please correct me if I’m wrong.” Sky and Sigma set their ears to the waitress repeating their orders. “One big cup of Berry Jack mocktail, one cup of Mint Apple Soda, and a plate of Popping Strawberries bananas.”

“Correct!” Sky snaps his feathers.

“Thank you. They’re coming up!”

With that said, the waitress heads to the kitchen and pierce the paper into the pointy holder, which is taken by one of the chefs.

While waiting for their order, Sky’s phone buzzes. He takes the phone out from his pocket and open it, it’s a message from one of his working partner.

“Hey bro, we gon be rockin’ concert at Saturday by the end of the month. Cya,” Sky’s friend says in the message.

One more message appears.

“Oh, also briefing tomorrow at 1500.”

“Alright,” Sky says as he put back the phone into the pocket. “Also, Sweegma. I’ll held a concert at Saturday in the end of this month. Wanna come?”

“Sure, Skear.” Sigma smiles while looking deep into Sky’s eyes.

Knowing that she’s doing the stare, Sky quickly blushes. His face turns pink like a strawberry juice mixed with cream milk.

“For Celestia, Sweegma.” Sky shocked as he just said the nickname he gave to Sigma few months ago again.

As reaction, Sky hides behind the hooves covering his face. Making Sigma giggles like a bird chirping sweetly in the morning.

After waiting for a pretty long time, their beverages and food are served. Sky’s and Sigma’s eyes immediately pointed at the banana as it is decorated very pretty like a garden full of various berries. Since Sky is very good at spotting something without needing to move his eyes, he sees Sigma also wanting to eat the bananas so badly.

“You first.”

“Oh, thank you, Sky.”

With that said, Sigma levitates one banana from the plate. The white, sticky canned milk combined with various berries slices tops up the appetite. She puts some part of the banana into her mouth and take a bite. It’s very sweet that the noise from the customers sounds like nothing, maybe not even entering Sigma’s ears.

At the same time, Sky watches his pretty, fairy-like beauty, grey unicorn mare eating the banana and enjoying it to bits as he stars to drools.

Dear Celestia. Let’s eat,” Sky says as he picks a banana and eat it.

While they’re eating and enjoying the berry-heaven snack, their beverages are served by a waitress with a warm smile.

“Thank you!” Sigma says.

“So, about the concert. Is it gonna be the same one?”

“What do you mean?”

“Well, fire and laser, things like that. I’m just like...bored, you know.”

“So, are you saying that you are bored with the theme of the concert being the same from time to time?”

“Technically, yes.”

“Oh….” Sky stirs his Berry Jack, making a small whirlpool in it. He thinks hard for any theme that his mare likes and try to apply it to the upcoming concert.

“Sigma…,” Sky says in a low, hearable voice. Looking at the marks and flowers painted on the table.

“Yes?” Sigma looks at Sky. She knows that everytime Sky is not looking at her and speak in a low and hearable voice, he’s serious.

“You like data science, right?”

“Yeah, also going to be my future job.”

“Then….” Sky grabs a fork then grip it very hard that red marks appear on his wings. “I’ll try to find a theme about something related to data. Because….” Sky sighs, closing his eyes.

“Well….” Sigma looks at her side. “I-if you don’t have something new, then...I can only wish you luck. I’m sorry, Skear.”

The nickname ‘Skear’ calms Sky down, just a bit. “I’ll try to ask my friends.”

“Alright, let’s get these finished up.”

“You’re right.”

With that said, Sky and Sigma continue eating their snack and drink their beverage. To avoid unnecessary drama, Sigma chit-chats with Sky. After finishing their orders, Sky and Sigma go to each other’s home.

Arriving at home, Sky goes to his closet first to put clothes then to the living room where he discuss with his friend, Beam about the theme for the concert.

“So, what will be theme about?”

“Well, I don’t know, bro. We do have some hot stuff over here, maybe those will be played in the concert.”

Sky thinks for a while.

“Anything about or related to...electronic?”

“Sure, bro. Gimme two,” Beam says before checking his computer for any music he can find.

After 90 seconds, Beam finds a playlist containing three EDM songs, “Alright, bro. I have three here. Each are about 3 minutes long.”

“That should be good. Can you send them? I wanna hear them first to make sure my….” Sky clears his throat, “‘Friend’...likes them.” Sky blushes a bit.

“Sure thing, bro,” Beam says as he sends the playlist into Sky’s phone for him to listen to.

“Dankeschön, freund.”

“Bitteschön, bro.”

After the playlist is sent, Sky listens to them. The beats and drops really catch Sky’s taste that he dances with it, sometimes even punching and kicking the air. Finished listening to the playlist, Sky feels really good that he’s so hype with the concert.

Not going to university tomorrow means great for Sky as he has got a meeting and...to spend time with his pretty, data science-enthusiast unicorn mare. At 8 AM, Sky puts on his hoodie then go to a restaurant for breakfast.

The restaurant is pretty aesthetic as the yellow-sun lamp lights are illuminating the wall that’s has the color of a middle-aged oak tree. To add more aesthetic point, the various genres of painting are displayed on the wall. The staff also plays both old and relaxing musics. No wonder why this restaurant has 4.5 rating stars.

Enjoying the atmosphere of the restaurant, Sky orders a food that looks similar to his favorite breakfast. Vegabag, that’s the name of a pasta mixed with a creamy and thick vanilla with small chunks of peterseli leave slices. Served with melted cheese and some vegetable-filled dumplings. Even though Sky is not that kind of eater, it’s okay to have a-bit-bigger-than-usual breakfast, right?

Once vegabag is served, Sky pays before eating it in peace. After eating his breakfast, Sky continues walking to the building where he and his partners have a meeting.

Entering the building where the meeting takes place, Sky goes inside the meeting room. Sky’s partners including Beam are already there.

“Hey, bro. Where’ve you been?” Beam says while hoof bumping Sky.

“Eating break-” Suddenly, Sky feels nausea as his oesophagus contracts to get some of the eaten vegabag upwards. The feeling constantly builds up until he needs to throw up, “Celest…. Where’s the toilet?!”

Reacting fast, Beam leads Sky into the toilet where he’ll get some of the eaten food out. After that, Bea. walks outside right before Sky throw up so he wouldn’t hear the noises.

Walking out from the toilet, Sky still feels a bit nausea. Beam then leads Sky back into the meeting room.

“Fühlen Sie sich besser?” One of Sky’s partners asks.

“Ja, ich fühle mich besser. Vielen dank.” Sky replies as Beam carefully helps Sky sits down slowly. “Celestia. I think I ate a bit too much. Ugh.”

“At least you feel better. Can you continue?”

“Ja ja.” Sky leans against the back of the chair, resting his head on the wall.

After everything is set, the leader of the event starts the meeting. They discuss about the theme of the concert as well as the properties and musics to be played. In the middle of the meeting, the leader is accepting suggestions, which Sky quickly raises his hoof and suggest him to listen to his EDM playlist.

“May I listen to them?”

“Ja, Herr.” Sky then sends the playlist into the leader’s phone. He then listens with headphones on to keep the room quiet. As he listens to the playlist, he would taps his hoof and make some moves as the EDM plays like waves flow ferociously in stormy weather.

“Man! These are too great to not listen to!” The leader says enthusiastically.

YES!” Sky shouts quietly knowing that his suggested music will be played in the concert. “Dankeschön, Kamerad!”

“Bitteschön, man.” Beam and Sky hoof bump their hooves.

The meeting is finally over. Sky heads to Sigma’s home, which he finds it to be looks like very empty. The windows are closed, the door is locked, not even a single sound can be heard from the house. It feels like it has been abandoned by Sigma. After Sky checks the outside parts of the house, he thinks that Sigma might be busy working her homework. Thinking she wouldn’t mind, he sends a message to her. However, after 5 minutes of waiting, Sigma hasn’t responding, not even reading the message. This bumps Sky so much as this will be the only time that he’s free before becoming a technician for the concert again. Sky then walks home with a heart without a feeling but a miss, miss of somepony special.

For the next few days, Sky hasn’t heard Sigma ever since. He tries to message her, call her, visit her house, but they’re all the same. No respond. Afraid that she might be missing because of being kidnapped or something else that’s bad and might be worse, Sky becomes restless as every time he’s at work and at university he always asks everypony about Sigma’s whereabout like a kitten searching for his missing mother. Even sometimes, he would acts a little aggressive towards others if they refuse or simply don’t know.

Seeing Sky’s current behaviour multiple times, Beam comes to Sky and tries a slow approach, “Hey, Sky, buddy. What’s the hold up?”

Sky is silence for a moment, “My ‘friend’. She went missing few days ago.”

“Wha-. Maybe she’s just busy with her university works.”

“Honestly, she wouldn’t mind if I message or call her when she’s working. Heh, even at one time when she’s very busy, I messaged her and she messaged me back simultaneously.”

As Beam opens his mouth to speak, Sky interrupts him, “And why you may ask? To make her feels less stressed.”

“Oh.” Beam replies, closing his mouth like a clam slowly closes its shell.

Due to Beam not having experience on missing pony issue, he doesn’t have anything to say.

Although, just one more thing….

Beam sits closer to Sky, “Hey, Sky. Honestly, I don’t know about handling situation like this, especially on missing somepony you care so much. If she’s your special somepony then-” Beam hugs Sky. “Please, for your health, be patience.”

Getting hug from Beam rises Sky’s emotional feeling all the way to the top as he grips his own wings very hard, grinning his teeth, and closing his eyes tightly, making few tears roll down from his head, to the cheek, and fall onto the ground.

Though this works, Sky still has the heartbroken feeling. Even if he feels slightly better, he’s still a mess both at work and at school.

Finally, the day where the concert will be held finally arrives. It’s just a matter of time until the opening ceremony. Minutes after minutes pass, Beam accompanies Sky to keep him focused, at least for some time. Beam also provides him with cold water and snacks to distracts him from his anxious behaviour.

At 7PM, many ponies are already filling half of the field. As time goes on, more and more ponies fill the field until at 9:30PM, the field has become a sea of ponies, waiting for the opening ceremony to begin.

After some time, the sound of drums is heard loudly. Followed by various instruments and ended with a calming flute that hypnotises the crowds like a river stream taking a leaf far away from its tree. Following the end of the intro music, fog slowly fills the entire stage with lights suddenly turn on from the the top of the stage, giving the fog a misty feeling then swing into the sky. Once done, electric guitar rocks the whole area that the crowds cheer very loudly like a rocket launch, some even jump in hype like skipping water.

After the rocking sound from the guitar is over, the main event finally begins. Many EDM is played in the concert, from dubstep, trap, house, and many more. Pleasuring the crowds’ ears as they and the music keep rocking and beating for hours. To make the concert more spectacular, lights, lasers, fire, and fireworks are displayed. Filling the area with colorful lights, laser, and some heat.

The concert is close to its ending, the music Sky suggested is now played, saving the special one for the last one. At last, the moment has come. Sky takes control of the mic for a while and speak his heart out.

“Good evening, everypony! I hope you all enjoyed all the music and songs played for YOU in the 10th Soaring Anniversary!” The crowds cheers after Sky said that.

“Now, prepare yourself. Because the last one is a special one. Especially to certain ponies here. Please always spend time together with your family and friends, and special somepony, and take care of each other. Enjoy.” The crowds cheers once more.

With that said, a song is played as the last one. As it continues to play, it touched many ponies’ heart as it has a deep message in it. The song ends after 3 minutes and has left many ponies in tears. They all loved it.

“And that was The 10th Soaring Anniversary! Thank you everypony who has supported us and donated money for us. We will continue rocking music and songs SO HARD they SOAR all the way into space!” The pony says to the crowds using the speaker. They all feel great and surely will going to see the concert again.

However, behind the happiness and hype. Sky feels sorrowful as there’s still no update on Sigma, slowly filling with eyes with tears as the feeling grows bigger and bigger over time like a fast-spreading plague. Luckily, Beam is nearby and as reflex, he hugs him a bit tightly. He knows that his friend is in deep sorrow. As a result, Beam joins Sky’s sorrow.

Still, Beam provides them two bottles of water. Relieving their sorrow a bit, especially Sky’s.

Meanwhile, the concert ended with the crowds simultaneously leaving the area with some are still taking few pictures of them with the stage (or just the stage itself) then post it in PonyNet.

Finally back at home, Sky immediately undresses and putting the uniform in the cabinet before hopping onto the bed, thinking about Sigma’s whereabouts. At night, Sky is sometimes a night owl. In order for him to sleep, he has to picture things in his mind and flow with it. But since Sigma went missing, he often having a hard time to sleep, although he would sometimes immediately falls asleep.

As Sky keeps rolling himself to get a comfortable position to helps him sleep. He figures out that it’s useless as he’s always distracted by his mind. Having nothing to do, Sky decides to turn on his phone and as the phone shows the lockscreen, a notification of missing calls show up.

Sigma was calling him.

With reaction as fast as a jet flies at maximum speed, Sky uses his magic to open the phone and immediately call her back. The night was pretty as Sky could hear the sound of few night critters outside and his phone dialing.

“Come on, Sigma. Please pick it up….” Sky’s heartbeat increases as Sigma doesn’t answer the call.

Until at the 4th attempt….

“Hello, Sky?”

“Sigma! By Celestia, where are you?”

“Oh, yeah yeah. First of all, I apologise for not telling you in the first place. Apparently, I had a sudden trip to various places in Equestria. I was busy packing and following instructions. Not to mention, I’m working my whole self off and several locations are lack of signal. Fortunately, my phone managed to pick a low signal. So yeah.”

A long relieved sigh escapes Sky’s mouth, “Thank Celestia, you are safe. Sigma, I’m literally crying my whole self off in here. Still, glad that you’re…. Oh wait, I’ve said it already, am I?”

Sigma giggles softly, “The same old Sky that I know.”

“Oh, you’re such a cutie.”

“Aww, shush it!” Sigma lightly blushes.

Sky and Sigma spend couples of minutes with each other, talking about each other’s life. They’re relieved that they’re just fine. Even better, they’re going to meet again five days later. Luckily, Sky is one patient alicorn.

----->>>

Five days later, Sky and Sigma meet at the zeppelin dock. They immediately hug after spotting each other. Wrapping their front legs tightly around their backs with love and care, forgetting the pain and sorrow they’ve had.

After reuniting, Sky and Sigma then goes to the cafe they usually go after university. They even watch the video of the concert last night. Even though Sigma doesn’t really like it she loves the music played at the end of the concert. Her eyes are tearing like water simultaneously falls from a full cup. She then proceeds to hug Sky tightly, like he’s the only pony she loves in the world.

Sky and Sigma spend time together until late afternoon, where they later go to each other’s home, resting their body and soul.

The End
