> Equestria Girls: Dial D for Derpy > by Time Agent pony > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canterlot City. "Give it up, heroes!" Mark Raxton a.k.a. Molten Man declared, as he throw flaming projectiles at The Rainbooms and some of the Champions. "Never," Laura Kinney a.k.a. The all-new Wolverine cried, leaping at Molten Man, claws drawn. Laura's hands made contact with Molten Man's skin but because of the intense heat she was forced to back off. "We can't touch him" Rainbow Dash said, shielding herself and her teammates from Molten Man as he continued to his attack on them, "we can't even hold him long enough to do anything." "What we need to do," Twilight suggested, noticing a nearby fire hose, "is cool him down." "And how do we do that?" Applejack asked. Twilight began to explain her plan to her friends and teammates. "The heat is on now, heroes," Molten Man laughed, as he broke through Rainbow Dash's shield construct. "Everybody remember the plan?" Twilight asked. Everyone nodded and with that the Champions put Twilight's plan into action. Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy and Sunset surrounded Molten Man with a giant bubble construct, while Twilight, Pinkie Pie and Laura made sure that no bystanders were in harms way. While this was being done, Rainbow Dash, using her geodes power, dashed to the fire hose and aimed it at Molten Man. "Now!" Twilight cried, as she turned on the water for the fire hose. Before the villain could react, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy and Sunset dropped the bubble construct allowing Rainbow Dash to unload the water from the fire hose onto the villain. "Nooo!" Molten Man cried, as his body began to cool down. Large amounts of steam rose into the air as Molten Man's powers grow weaker and weaker. "Just a little more" Twilight said, seeing that the villain was almost down for the count. Suddenly the water from the hose stopped. "What the?" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, shaking the hose to make sure it wasn't jammed. Twilight looked at the hose water controls, only to see Derpy Hooves, who had turned the water off. "Waste not, want not," Derpy said. "Derpy!" Rainbow Dash cried, "what have you done?!" Before anyone else could do anything, Molten Man made a run for it, using the steam to his advantage. "See you around, heroes" he laughed, as he faded away. The Rainbooms and the Champions all glared at Derpy. "Oops," Derpy smiled, weakly, "my bad." "Do you have any idea what you've done?!" Twilight asked, sternly. Derpy tried to answer but was interrupted by Rainbow Dash: "thanks to you, a dangerous criminal has been allowed to escape and cause more harm!" she fumed. "I was just trying to help," Derpy said, her smile beginning to break. "HELP!" Rainbow Dash shouted, "I think you've HELPED quite enough today!" Derpy didn't reply. "Come on, everyone," Twilight said, "Molten Man can't have gotten far, maybe we can still nab him." Without another word the Rainbooms and the Champions rushed off, leaving Derpy alone. Derpy walked sadly along the street, the words that Rainbow Dash had said still ringing in her ears. "I'm no use to anyone, am I?" she said, to herself. Out of nowhere, it started to rain. "Great," Derpy sighed, "what else could go wrong?" She noticed an old and rundown looking phone booth standing in an ally. "At least I can't bother anyone here" Derpy sighed, as she approached the phone booth, "and I can get out of the rain." The first thing Derpy noticed was that the dial on the phone in the booth was a rotatory design. "Thats wired" she thought to herself, "what's a rotatory dial doing in this day and age?" Putting the thought out of her head for now, Derpy waited for the rain to stop. Growing bored, Derpy picked up the phone, the line was dead. The rain grew stronger. Derpy started to dial the numbers 1 to 0, not surprisingly nothing happened. She noticed the letters on top of the numbers and began to spell out sentences, using the numbers on the dial. 'Derpy is' she dialled, 'an idiot' Derpy sighed. 'Derpy is useless' and 'Derpy is stupid' Derpy stared at the rain, wishing she was able to help others without always getting in the way. She began to type one last sentence, Derpy. Is. A. Hero. The instant Derpy had finished typing the word 'hero' there was a flash of light and a strange sound. Seconds later, where Derpy had been standing a very different figure now stood. > Chapter 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "What just happened?" Derpy stated, as she looked around, the phone and everything around her looked the same. "Arrr, my head," she groaned, as her began to throb. Brushing it off, Derpy exited the phone booth and began to head home. She stubbled around for a bit, confused by the looks from passersby. She wasn't sure why they were looking at her, but she shrugged it off. After a few minutes, she released she had no idea where she was going. "I wonder if there's somewhere I can ask for directions," she thought. Spotting a jewellery store across the road, she decided to head in. Jewellery store. "Good afternoon, madame," one of the shop's staff greeted, as Derpy walked up to the counter. "Madame?" Derpy echoed, confused. "How may I help you today?" the staff member continued. Before Derpy could continue, three men wearing balaclavas and carrying guns barged into the store. "ALRIGHT, NOBODY MOVE!" one of the men shouted, "THIS IS A ROBBERY!" Everyone froze, frightened including Derpy. "Alright everyone," the lead robber declared, "just stay quiet and nobody gets hurt." He turned to his partners and signalled them to start looting all the jewels they could get their hands on. "Getting there," the second robber said. "Alright," the lead robber acknowledged. "Hey," Derpy called, "those don't belong to you." The three stared in confusion at her. "Who's the costumed weirdo?" the second robber asked. "Costumed weirdo?" Derpy replied, "what costume?" "Who do you think you are to stop us?" the third robber teased. "Who do I think I am?" Derpy repeated, half to herself. "Who cares," the lead robber snapped, "just grab the jewels and let's go." As the thieves finished grabbing anything, they dashed for the emergency exit. "No, Stop!" Derpy cried, raising her hands towards them. Suddenly, to everyone's surprise including Derpy, a blast of energy shot from her palm straight at the thieves, causing them to freeze in their tracks. "Whoa," Derpy exclaimed, in surprise, "I didn't know I could be that." The robbers, now terrified, dropped their loot and weapons, and put their hands up. "Oh," she smiled, "that was easy." By that point, police sirens could be heard approaching the store and the store staff had seized the thieves weapons. As soon as the police arrived, the robbers were taken away. "Thank you," one of the people in the store said, "but who are you?" Derpy looked thoughtful, "Mmmm," she murmured, "well, it felt like stars were bursting in my hands so......I guess you can call me......Starburst." "Well," the person smiled, "thank you, Starburst." "Anyways," Starburst replied, "gotta go." With a smile, Starburst took off smashing through of the roof of the jewel store as she did so. "Sorry," she called, "whoa, I didn't know I could do that either." Starburst landed back in the ally with the phone booth. "Well," she remarked, to herself, "that was fun." "But how did I do that?" she asked, aloud, "what gave me those strange powers?" She looked at the phone booth, vaguely remembering what had happened before. "Could it be," she remarked, entering the phone booth. As Starburst looked over, she caught sight of her reflection in the booth window. Instead of Derpy's usual face, a very different face stared back at her, even her eyes looked normal. Before Starburst could question anything else, she transformed back into Derpy. "Wow," Derpy said, "that was wired." > Chapter 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "What was I doing here, again?" Derpy asked out loud. Though hours had passed she was still standing in the ally, uncertain of what to do next. Realising she was getting nowhere, Derpy exited the ally and began making her way home. "Maybe it was just a dream," she said to herself, "no way that all of that happened." While walking home, Derpy passed by an electronic store, which had a huge crowd outside it. They were all looking at one of the TVs in the shop's window which was broadcasting a news report. "And in other news," the news reporter was saying, "a new superhero has appeared in Canterlot. Who is this mystery hero and where will she appear again?" The news changed to footage of the jewellery store showing Starburst stopping the thieves. "So I wasn't imagining things," Derpy murmured, as the footage played. "That hero is so cool," a child bystander commented on the footage. "Dinky and Sparkler are going to wonder where I've got to!" she realised. Derpy's house. "Sorry I was lost getting home" Derpy apologised, as she walked though the front door. "Mum!" Dinky Doo cried, "did you see that robbery on the news?" "Dinky won't stop raving about that new superhero in town," Sparkler explained. "Good to see you back" Doctor Whooves greeted, as he entered the living room. "Is everyone OK?" Derpy asked. "Don't worry," Doctor Whooves replied, "everything is taken care of, dinner eaten, washed, dried and ready for bed." "I'll read the bedtime story," Derpy smiled. "Yay!" both Dinky and Sparkler cried together and dashed off to their bedroom. Derpy, still smiling, followed behind her two kids. Next day. Derpy woke up to the sound of muffled explosion coming from Doctor Whooves's lab, which was a blue shed at the end of her garden. "Great Scott!" the voice of Doctor Whooves cried from the shed, "note to self: never mix radiation and Eton Mess." Derpy sighed to herself and proceeded downstairs to join Dinky and Sparkler for breakfast. When she got to the kitchen, Dinky was still going on and on. "Mum," Sparkler groaned, "can you make her stop?!" "Look Mum," Dinky smiled, "I did a drawing of Sunburst." Derpy looked at the picture for a moment, "What would you say if I told you that I'm Starburst?" she asked, finally. Dinky and Sparkler both stared at their mother. "Urrr," Dinky uttered. "Ok," Sparkler responded, "no offence, but you don't look anything like Starburst." "And if you had superpowers," Dinky continued, "we'd know about them already." "I'm only joking," Derpy said quickly, before either Dinky and Sparkler could continue, "time for the two of you to finish your breakfast and get to school." Canterlot High. Derpy walked through the hallways of CHS. All around students were talking about the new superhero. "She's so cool," one student was saying. "Who do you think she really is?" another one was saying. "Wow," Derpy thought to herself, "I really made an impression." "Hey, Derpy" a voice called. Derpy turned to see her friends: Lyra Heartstrings, Bon Bon, Vinyl Scratch and Octavia. "I take it you have heard about that new superhero in town?" Octavia asked. "Does anyone think it's weird?" Bon Bon commented. "About what?" Lyra replied. "That she just happened to show up right when that robbery started," Bon Bon continued. Derpy was about to tell her friends that she was the hero, but then remembered how her kids had reacted and decided to keep her mouth shut. "Maybe she was just passing through," she said, finally. "If thats so," Octavia responded, "then which city has she come from? And why haven't we heard of her until now?" All of them looked at Vinyl to see what she thought of the whole conversation. "I don't know," Vinyl replied, "she seems pretty rad." Before anyone could say another word the bell for classes rang. "Better keep it a secret for now," Derpy whispered to herself, once her friends were out of ear shot. All throughout the day Derpy kept thinking about how she had transformed into Starburst in the first place. By the end of the day Derpy had decided to go back to the ally and try and prove to everyone that she was Starburst. After school. Derpy walked along the street until she arrived at the ally where the phone booth was located. "OK," Derpy said, as she entered the ally, "if I can find Starburst's costume and show it to everyone then they'll have to believe me." She searched and searched but found nothing. "I've got to try and remember what I did before I became Starburst," Derpy murmured. She remembered entering the phone booth and writing sentences using the rotatory dial in it. "Hmmm," Derpy thought, "I wonder if....." She began dialling all the words she remembered. Idiot.....nothing, useless.......nothing and stupid......nothing. Finally, Derpy was about to give up when she recalled another word she had dialed. "Well," Derpy said, "here goes," With that, she began dialed the numbers 4376, which spelled out the word HERO. Like before, there was a flash of light and a strange sound. And like last time, the person that stood in the phone booth was not Derpy. "Alright," Derpy said, "time to find the others and show myself to them and they will have to believe me." Suddenly Derpy caught sight of her reflection and it wasn't Starburst's face that stared back at her. > Chapter 4 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "What the?!" Derpy exclaimed, as she looked at the face staring back at her. "Who is this?" she continued, as she looked over her new form, "this isn't Starburst." The costume she was wearing was a different from the one Starburst had worn. Suddenly, Derpy noticed that everything around her looked different. She turned back to the phone dial thinking that nothing had happened, only to find that the phone booth had disappeared. Derpy looked around, then looked up to see the phone dial high above her and huge in size. She noticed a strange looking car, in the ally, but as she approached she realised a giant discarded soda can. Then it hit her, she had been shrunk, she was no bigger than the size of a human thumb. "Well," Derpy said, "this is new." She didn't have much time to dwell on her situation, as a sudden explosion shook the ground. Derpy dashed to the entrance of the ally, to see the bank across the street wrecked and damaged. Striding from the bank, with sacks were three villains, these being: Silt man, Animal-Vegetable-Mineral man and Beetle. "We're on a roll, boys," Wilbur Day a.k.a. Silt man laughed. "And they say crime doesn't pay," Dr. Sven Larsen a.k.a. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral man nodded. Beetle said nothing. "Better make run for it, before the cops show up," Silt man said. "I've got to stop them," Derpy thought. As the villains made their escape, Derpy dash up to Silt man and grabbed onto of his legs as he moved off. "This is too easy," Silt man smiled. "I wonder if these's a drive through jewellery store around here," Animal-Vegetable-Mineral man smirked. Suddenly, Beetle began firing his blasters at Stilt man, making him stumble backwards. "Have you blown a circuit?!" Stilt man shouted. "There's something on leg!" Animal-Vegetable-Mineral man cried, noticing Derpy clinging to Silt man's leg. He transformed his right arm into a raptor head and reached for Derpy with its mouth open. Derpy instinctively jumped off of Stilt man's leg, causing Animal-Vegetable-Mineral man's raptor head to break it teeth on Stilt man's leg. Beetle opened fire, trying to hit Derpy, but only succeed in hitting Animal-Vegetable-Mineral man. "Watch it!" Animal-Vegetable-Mineral man shouted. "Where'd she go?!" Stilt man said, looking around franticly. "I can't see her," Animal-Vegetable-Mineral man responded, "she's really tiny." "She's on your head!" Beetle cried, "get her." Animal-Vegetable-Mineral man transformed his right hand from raptor head to diamond and hit himself on the head with it, knocking himself out cold. Being out cold, reverted him back to his human form. "Wait a minute," Stilt man realised, turning to Beetle, "since when were you able to talk?" Beetle simply shrugged. Suddenly, before the villains could react, Derpy jumped from behind Beetle's shoulder and hit Stilt man in the face. "Whoa," Derpy exclaimed, "I still have all my strength at this size." She didn't have time to dwell on her powers, as Beetle aimed his wrist mounted blasters at her. "I don't care who you are," Stilt man growled, as he got to his feet, "but you're not stopping my crime spree!" He activated his legs and he towered over Derpy. "When I'm finished with you!" Stilt man declared, "you will be nothing more than a squashed bug on my foot!" He began stamping the ground with the hydraulic rams in his legs. Derpy dodged every attack, but Stilt man's attacks got faster. Until Derpy was tired out, Stilt man stamped down for one final attack. "Good riddance," Stilt man smirked. But unbeknown to Stilt man, his foot hadn't crushed Derpy, she was underneath holding it with her bear hands. Using all her strength, Derpy throw the leg over her head, causing Stilt man to topple over. Beetle didn't have time to move out of the way as Stilt man fell on top of him. "Well," Derpy said, as she stood over the defeated Stilt man, "looks like your plan doesn't have a foot to stand on." "Who are you?" Stilt man asked. "You can call me...." Derpy replied, she thought for moment, "Thumbelina." Shortly after Thumbelina had introduced herself, the sound of police sirens were heard approaching. "Well," Thumbelina said, "thats my cue." Back in the ally. "Who would have thought being small would be so tiring," Thumbelina panted, as she entered the ally way As she reached the phone booth, there was a flash of light and a strange sound, like before, and she transformed back to normal. "Well," Derpy said, "that was fun, lets do it again!" She dialed the word 'HERO' again and once again there was a flash of light and a strange sound. "Whoa," Derpy exclaimed, "who's this one?" Suddenly, "wait," she noted, "is that my voice?" She looked at her reflection in the booth window and a very different face stared back at her. She suddenly noticed she had an extra limb sticking out of her chest. "Wait," she blurted, "is this me?!" "Am I a man?" Derpy questioned, "groovy." Before she could test out her new form, when she heard a scream from nearby. "Alright," Derpy smiled, "lets rock." With that, she dashed out of the headed for the danger. Elsewhere. "Head over your wallets," Mary MacPherran a.k.a. Titania demanded, as she and her husband Carl "Crusher" Creel a.k.a. Absorbing Man closed in on a family. "I'd do what she says," Absorbing Man smiled, "my lady gets punchy when she doesn't get what she whats." "Hey!" a voice called. The two turned to see Derpy, who had just arrived on the scene. "You wanna pick on someone," Derpy growled, "try me." "And just who are you suppose to be?" Absorbing Man asked. "The names Hole Punch," Derpy replied. Hole Punch turned to the family that the two villains were menacing. "Go," he said, "I handle these two." "Thank you," the father replied, as he, his wife and his kid ran past Hole Punch. "Alright," Hole Punch declared, "let's dance." With that, Absorbing Man charged at Hole Punch, ball and chain in hand. The two traded blows, with Hole Punch being able to hold his own against villain. "Had enough?" he asked. "Not even close," Absorbing Man smirked, "now, let me show you why they call me the Absorbing Man." He picked up a steel bar and, using his powers, turned his skin into steel. "Ready for round two?" Absorbing Man asked. "I'm ready for anything," Hole Punch smiled. Without another word, the two engaged each other again. Even with his enhancement, Absorbing Man was still no match for Hole Punch's punches. The fight came to an end, with Hole Punch knocking out Absorbing Man with his third fist. "Hon!" Titania cried. "So, little lady," Hole Punch smiled, "you wanna dance?" "Nobody pushes around my man," Titania growled, "NOBODY!" Titania dashed at Hole Punch, after trading a few blows she was down but not out. "Didn't think you'd would hit a lady," Titania panted, "you pack a lotta punch." "It's been fun," Hole Punch replied, "but it's lights out for you." With one final punch, Titania was knocked out cold. Soon enough, the police arrived to arrest the two villains. "Thank you," one of the officers said, "who are you?" "Seriously?!" Hole Punch exclaimed, "I'm the cat who's all at, the wrath attack." The officer looked confused. "Hole Punch is the name," Hole Punch answered, "see ya." Without another word, Hole Punch dashed off. Back in the ally. "Whoa," Hole Punch breathed, "what a rush, what a thri...." Before Hole Punch could get anymore excited, there was a flash of light and a strange sound and he transformed back into Derpy. "Oh," Derpy sighed, "back to normal ditzy me." She glanced at the phone booth. "Maybe next time," she murmured, "I'd better get home before everyone starts to worry." > Chapter 5 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next day at CHS. The school was more of a buzz than ever, the two new heroes were the topic on everyone's minds. "Wow," Derpy thought, "I'm more popular than ever." All throughout the day Derpy kept thinking about her exploits the previous day. Even at lunch, she was so wrapped up in her thoughts that she didn't noticed someone's bag in her way until it was to late. Derpy's launch spilled all over her, causing the cafeteria, apart from Derpy's friends, to erupt into laughter. Derpy blushed and went to the bathroom to clean herself up. "I bet they wouldn't laugh at me, if I was Hole Punch," she fumed, as she whipped food off her clothes. Derpy managed to get through the rest, without any other accidents. By the time school had finished, Derpy knew what she was going do. As soon as she was out the school doors, Derpy headed for the phone booth. "OK," she smiled, "it's hero time." Without further ado, Derpy dialed the word 'HERO' and transformed. "Alright," she said, after she had transformed, "who am I this time?" She looked down at herself, she was smaller (though not as small as Thumbelina), she had black spikey hair and she had the head of a donkey and a stripy tail. "Alright," Derpy smiled, "it's crimebusting time!" With that, Derpy took to the sky. Elsewhere. "Hand over your wallets and valuables," Mitchell Mayo a.k.a. Condiment King declared, as he pointed his ketchup and mustard gun at the people in a restaurant he and his partner were robbing, "and nobody gets an allergic reaction." He nodded to his partner, a villain named Eye Scream. "You heard him," Eye Scream ordered, "wallets and valuables, now!" As the restaurant patrons unwillingly handed over their valuables, Eye Scream collected them into a sack. "That's everything boss," Eye Scream said, once everything had been collected. "Well, then," Condiment King replied, "we'd best be off," he turned to the patrons, "we mayo see again, losers." "Halt!" a voice from behind the two villains cried. Condiment King and Eye Scream turned to see Derpy standing in the restaurant entrance. "What in the name of hot sauce are you suppose to be?" Condiment King asked. "You look like something out a Japanese manga," Eye Scream added. "I am Jobu, the Zonkey King," Derpy answered, "now, return what you have stolen from these good people." "Try and make us," Condiment King smirked, pointing his ketchup and mustard gun at Jobu. "You asked for it," Jobu grinned. Before, the villains could do anything Jobu engaged the villains and, within seconds the two villains down for the count. "You wanna go another round?" Jobu asked, "or are you hungry for more?" "No," Condiment King begged, "we give up." "Well," Jobu said, "this was easy and boring." After giving the valuables back to their owners, Jobu took to the sky. "There must be some other crimes for me to stop," Jobu thought, as he traversed the skies. Jobu searched high and he searched low, but found no muggings, robberies or hostage situations. "Come on, come on," Jobu said, franticly, "there has to be a crime somewhere I can stop." After hours of searching, Jobu found no trace of crime anywhere in Canterlot. "Well, today has been a waste of time," Jobu stated, "now what am I going to?" Jobu's question was answered, he began to feel his powers beginning to fade. "OK," Jobu sighed, "that answers that question." With that, Jobu reluctantly headed back to the phone booth. Back at the phone booth. As soon as Jobu landed back in the ally, he transformed back into Derpy. "Well, it was fun while it lasted," Derpy said. Suddenly, Derpy noticed something that she hadn't noticed before, about the phone dial in the booth. A button on the side of the phone marked 'press to release'. Without even thinking, Derpy pressed the button. Shortly after that, the phone dial detached from the phone base. "Oh, would look at that," Derpy remarked, "I think my hero career just got a lot easier." Unknown location. "So, you two failed?" Joseph a.k.a. Hammerhead said, as he looked down on Absorbing Man and Titania, "the boss doesn't take kindly to failure." "It wasn't our fault," Absorbing Man began, "It was....." "NO EXCUSES!" thundered a voice and monitor screen turned on, revealing a figure in shadow and out of focus. "But, boss," Absorbing Man began, "I can explain...." "Mr Creel," the figure on the screen interrupted, "I believe you know the punishment for failure." "NO!" Titania cried, "It's not his fault! It was some freakazoid called Hole Punch!" "Is that so?" the figure asked. "Yeah," Absorbing Man replied, "me and Titania were making our rounds, making sure that people had paid their protection fee when he just appeared out of nowhere and decided to stick his nose into our business." "Hmmm," the figure murmured, "this could be a problem, I suppose I will let your failure slide.....for now." "You won't regret this, boss," Absorbing Man replied. "I hope for your sake, Mr Creel," the figure remarked, "otherwise, the police will receive an anonymous tip about you and your wife's whereabouts and you will be replaced with someone else who is more capable of producing satisfying results." With that, Absorbing Man and Titania left the room. "You think Creel was telling the truth?" Hammerhead inquired, once he and the figure on the screen were alone. "Possibly," the figure answered, "but I can't take any chances, the reason I moved here was to avoid superheroes and I'd prefer my business goes on uninterrupted." "Is there anyone you want me to put on standby in case they fail?" Hammerhead asked. "Not yet," the figure replied, "but in the meantime, find out all there is to know about this new superhero." > Chapter 6 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following day. Derpy walked to school with the phone dial in her backpack. "Do people only like me when I'm in hero form?" she thought, as she appeared the front doors of CHS, "do I really have to stay as myself?" Derpy tried to put the question out of her head for now, especially when there was a school trip to the Natural History Museum to distract her. Even so, the question kept nagging at the back of her mind as she and class boarded the bus to the museum. Once, they arrived at the museum they left the bus and proceeded inside. Looking at the different exhibits, managed to distract Derpy from thinking about the question, but only temporarily. As there was the sound shattering glass followed by the blaring of alarm bells. The cause of the disturbance soon appeared, Absorbing Man and Titania. Derpy ducked out of sight as the two villains stalked pasted her. "Hole Punch!" Absorbing man called, "come out, come out, where ever you are." "If you don't," Titania added, "we'll smash this museum to dust. "Well," Derpy thought, as the villains continued their attack on the museum, "looks like its time to call a hero." Taking the phone dial out of her backpack, Derpy dialed the word 'HERO' and transformed. "Ok," she said, looking over herself, "who am I this time?" Derpy's new form consisted of: an amazonian built and green skin. The phone dial had transformed along with her, it had changed into an armband on her wrist. "Holy butterscotch muffins," Derpy exclaimed, "I'm She-Hulk." She was looked snapped back to reality, when she remembered the two villains attacking the museum, Derpy know what she had to do. Moments later. She-Hulk stood over the defeated villains, "You know if want to visit the museum," She-Hulk declared, "you should have paid admission." Soon the police arrived, "Thanks for the help She-Hulk," the police chef smiled, as Absorbing man and Titania were taken into custody, "we've after these two for sometime." "Anytime officer," She-Hulk replied. As the police took the two villains away some of the civilians applauded and cheered. All She-Hulk could do was smile and wave, loving all the attention she was getting. "So this what being a hero feels like," she thought. She was snapped out of her thoughts as, Bon Bon, Lyra, Octavia, Vinyl approached her. "Thanks for showing up when you did," Bon Bon said, "who knows how much more damage those two could have could have caused." "You're She-Hulk," Lyra breathed, excitedly, "can I have your autograph?" "So was a coincidence," Octavia stated, "you showing up just now." "That was some show you put on," Vinyl commented, "Awesome." Suddenly, She-Hulk's moment in the spotlight was cut short as she felt her powers beginning to fade. "Thank you, everyone," she said, "but I have to go, there maybe another emergency that needs my help." And before anyone could say another word, She-Hulk dashed off. Outside the museum. The police had already put the restrained Absorbing man and Titania into a police car. All of a sudden, knockout gas was deployed from the car the two villains were in. "Whats going on?" Absorbing man asked. The two police officers in the driving seat of the car turned to face them. The two villains gasped, those where no police officers, they Dmitri Smerdyakov a.k.a. The Chameleon and Laura De Mille a.k.a. Madame Rouge. "Hammerhead told us where to pick up you two," Madame Rouge said, as she shape-shifted back into her normal form. "The boss isn't very happy with the two of you," Chameleon added, as he pulled off his disguise. Absorbing man and Titania tried to break free but, thanks to the Stark industries power dampening handcuff, they couldn't do anything. Putting their disguises back on Chameleon and Madame Rouge started the police car and headed for the police station. Later still, unknown location. "Right thanks," Hammerhead said, as he put his phone back in his suit pocket. "Is it done?" a voice asked. Hammerhead turned to face the shadowy figure on the monitor screen. "Yeah," Hammerhead replied, "Dmitri and Laura just dropped them off at police station where they'll be transported to the Raft prison. "Let that send a clear message," the figure answered, "failure will not be tolerated." > Chapter 7 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Derpy walked home from school, the question from before still buzzing around in her head. As she entered her house, the question of 'did she need to be herself in order to be popular with other people?' "Maybe some TV will help," Derpy thought, out loud. She walked into the living room and turned on the TV. "In other news," the news reporter said, "Jennifer Walters also known as She-Hulk reportedly, lost her powers for 24 hours, then her powers suddenly returned." "Huh," Derpy murmured, "I was wondering what happened to the real She-Hulk." The news reporter when to say that, along with She-Hulk a bunch of other superheroes had also appeared in Canterlot. "Tiring day?" a voice asked. Derpy turned to see Doctor Whooves, who had just entered the room. "Like you wouldn't believe," she replied, smiling, "The kids ok?" "Yeah," Doctor Whooves answered, sharing Derpy's smile, "they're fast asleep." "Don't you think it's wired?" he continued, "loads of different superheroes showing up in a city, just when there is an emergency." Finally, Derpy couldn't keep the secret any longer, she had to tell someone. "What would you say if I told you that I was all those heroes?" she asked. "Are you joking?" Doctor Whooves replied. He saw the look in Derpy's eyes, she was being serious. "But, how?" Doctor Whooves asked, "how did you get those powers?" "With this," Derpy replied, taking the phone dial out of her backpack and showing him. "This is what gives you powers?" Doctor Whooves inquired, disbelievingly. Derpy nodded, "Every I dial 4376 I transform." "That would explain the superheroes that have been showing up," Doctor Whooves said. "People seem to like all the good I've been doing," Derpy carried on, "but....." "But?" Doctor Whooves replied. "Do I need to be myself to popular?" Derpy answered. "Well," Doctor Whooves responded, "if everyone likes all the good you're doing, then keep doing it, just remember that your friends and your family like for who are and no superpower will change that." "Thanks," Derpy smiled, now feeling much better after the pep talk from her partner. With that, the two finished up their evening with a hug. Elsewhere, unknown location. "Thank you for excepting the boss's invitation," Hammerhead said. "Glad to be of service," Mac Gargan a.k.a. Scorpion smiled. "We aim to pleased," August Hopper a.k.a. Locust added. "OK," Hammerhead continued, passing a dossier to the two full of photos of the various superheroes, "keep your eyes open for anyone who look like this." The next day. "OK," Derpy said, to herself, "time for a break from superheroing, I'm sure the real heroes can handle it." She was heading to Sweet Snacks Café to meet with her friends and hang out. She was almost there, when some terrified people came running past her, some of them being chased by locusts. The source of the panic followed. "Come out little hero," Locust smirked, "Hero, Hero, came out and play," Scorpion laughed. > Chapter 8 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Derpy continued to watch as the villains continued to terrorising civilians. "Doesn't look like anyone gonna show," Locust said. "Thats too bad," Scorpion groaned. Suddenly, the two then noticed a woman, who had tripped in her attempt to escape the two. "Well, well," Scorpion gloated, "what do we have here? Live bait." Derpy looked on as the two villains advanced on the woman, she wanted to dial up a hero, but she had left the dial back at her house. She started rooting through her backpack, looking for anything that must be useful. Suddenly, Derpy's fingers touched something round, it was the dial, it had a sticky note attached to in. It said, "Had a feeling you might need this, Whooves." "Oh, Whooves," Derpy smiled, "you know me so well." "I guess it's true, what they say," she thought, "a hero's work is never done." And with that, Derpy dialed H-E-R-O and transformed. Meanwhile. "Somebody, help me," the woman whimpered, as the villains closed in on her, "please." The Scorpion's tail raised, prepared to sting his helpless target. "Hey!" cried a voice, "leave her alone you big bullies." The two villains turned to see a little girl in a black and pink costume, wearing a pink helmet and carrying a hammer with a star on it. "Aren't you a little young to a hero, kid?" Locust scoffed. "What is this?!" Scorpion laughed, "attack of the preschoolers." "You laugh now," the girl replied, "but when Galaxy Girl is finished with you, you'll wish you'd given up." "Ooo," Scorpion snickered , "I'm so scared, I'm shaking." "Take your best shot," Locust said. "You asked for it," Galaxy Girl declared. With that, she charged at the two villains. Sweet Snacks Café. "Where is Derpy?" asked Octavia, as she, Lyra and Vinyl waited for Derpy to show up, "not like her to late." "Shame Bon Bon couldn't make it," Vinyl commented. "Yeah," Lyra replied, "she said, she had some volunteering work to do." "Strange," Octavia murmured, "I didn't know she did volunteering work." Meanwhile. Galaxy Girl had managed to subdue Scorpion and Locust. "I can't believe it," Scorpion fumed, "beaten by a kid!?" "You will be avenged my long legged minions," Locust whimpered. "Let that be a lesson to you," Galaxy Girl said, as she stood over the defeated villains, "harm the innocent and the hammer of justice will find." Suddenly, Galaxy Girl realised she was forgetting something. "Oh, on," She cried, "I'm late." Galaxy Girl quickly turned to go, before she left she looked back at the two villains. "Stay. Right. Here," She ordered. With that, Galaxy Girl took off into the sky. Soon after, the sound of police sirens could be heard approaching. Back at Sweet Snacks Café. "Well," Octavia stated, "we've waited long enough and Derpy still hasn't shown up, let's order." "Good plan, Tavi," Vinyl nodded, "I am starving." All of the friends picked up the menus and, just as they were about to start ordering..... "Sorry I'm late," Derpy panted, as she entered the restaurant and sat down at the table. "Well," Lyra said, "it's about time you showed up." "Sorry," Derpy replied, "I had a little trouble remembering where this place was." "But we've been here before," Octavia answered. "Is there something you're not telling us?" Lyra asked. Derpy really wanted to tell her friends about the dial, she truly did, but she know that if she did that would put her friends in danger. "No," she admitted, finally, "I really got lost, I must have taken a wrong turn somewhere." "Oh," Lyra said, "OK." "Anyway," Derpy continued, "let's get something to eat." "Sounds like a plan," Vinyl smiled. "Also," Derpy commented, "where's Bon Bon? She never misses any moment when we hang out together." "I don't know," Lyra replied, "all I got from her is that she had volunteering work to do." "That's wired," Derpy murmured, "I never knew Bon Bon did voluntary work." Putting the question out of her mind, Derpy picked up a menu to order some food alone with her friends. She know, sooner or later, her friends would find out her secret, she would have to tell them eventually. > Chapter 9 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, unknown location. "THEY FAILED?!" the figure thundered. He had just been informed by Hammerhead of Scorpion and Locust defeat. "What do we do now, boss?" Hammerhead asked, "it's like there's an army of superheroes in this one city." The figure laughed at Hammerhead's statement, "then we keep doing what we're doing." he said, finally. "What do you mean, boss?" Hammerhead inquired. "We keep sending villains to cause chaos," the figure answered, "sooner of later the person behind all these heroes will slip up and then we will win." "So," Hammerhead smiled, "who do you want to call?" Over the next few days Derpy continued her career as a superhero, while continuing to keep it a secret from her friends. Everyday a new villain, or villains, would show up, villains like: Human Fly and Killer Moth, Cyclone and Whirlwind, Boomerang, Bizarro, Hydro man, Kraven the Hunter and Cheetah and Dr. Phosphorus. And, always, Derpy transformed into a hero to fight them, getting a different hero every time. Heroes like: Bumper Carla, Ingot, the Metallic Avenger, Blacklight, Plasma, Iron Snail, Elephaunt, Ms. Muscle and Monster Truck. As time went on Derpy began to get more and more warn out, after every villain she fought. All the while Derpy's superhero career continued to gain more fame and recognition, her exploits made the front page on every newspapers. Elsewhere, unknown location. "It seems that I was wrong to relay on humans to get the job done," the figure said, as he watched another pair of villains be taken away by the police, "after all, why use biological life when synthetic life is more efficient." "What's the plan, boss?" Hammerhead asked. "Get Amazo and the Super Adaptoid ready," the figure replied, "it's time to turn up the heat on our hero problem." > Chapter 10 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Derpy walked slowly to CHS, she was practically at her wits end, she had been running herself ragged with endless villain appearing, she was beginning to feel strain that came with life of a superhero. "How do those pro heroes do it?" Derpy thought, as she walked along the street, "how do they keep saving people and still manage to have a normal life?" For now Derpy put the question out of her head, as she entered CHS. Throughout the day, Derpy hoped she could finish the school day without having to defeat another supervillain. She was on her way to the cafeteria to get some lunch. Suddenly, a massive shockwave shook the ground and from the hallway ahead students running in terror. "Oh, great," Derpy groaned, "what could it be this time?!" The source of the disturbance came soon after, Amazo, an android capable of assimilating powers from superheroes. "I had to ask," Derpy sighed, taking the dial out of backpack, "looks like it's hero time, again." She dial H-E-R-O and transformed into the hero, Iron Deadhead. Amazo was holding a student, Bulk Biceps, up by the collar. "You will tell me whereabouts of the superhero that have been appearing around this city," Amazo said. "I...I...I don't know anything," Bulk Biceps stammered, "honest." "Then you are of no use to me," Amazo responded, throwing Bulk Biceps aside. Before, the android could interrogate anyone else, something tapped him on the shoulder. Amazo turn to see Iron Deadhead. "Hey, there," Iron Deadhead greeted, "how about we take this outside?" "I have no quarrel with you," Amazo answered, "Stay out of my way." "Really?" Iron Deadhead replied, "you that big of a wuss?" "You would be wise not to insult me," Amazo growled. "I'm just saying that we should just keep this robot to robot, hero to villains," Iron Deadhead retorted. "Hero?" Amazo repeated, "it seems you have caught my interest, I accept your challenge." With that, the two exited the school and headed for the soccer pitch. "Will this do?" Iron Deadhead asked. "Indeed," Amazo nodded. "Alright," Iron Deadhead said, "let's get this over with." Without another word, the two machines engaged each other in battle. Meanwhile, inside CHS Octavia, Vinyl and Lyra watched the battle unfold between Amazo and Iron Deadhead. "This is awesome!," Vinyl whooped, as Iron Deadhead hit Amazo with a huge blast of energy from his mouth. "It's certainly an amazing spectacle," Octavia remarked, "but is anyone going question how that hero just happened to show up when that android started tearing up the school?" "Wonder where Bon Bon is?" Lyra questioned, "she's missing out on all the action." Some time later. Iron Deadhead stood triumphantly over the defeated Amazo. Amazo had proved a bit troublesome, with his ability to copy the powers of superheroes, but he had managed to bring down the android. "Ok," Iron Deadhead murmured, to himself, "now to hightail it before I transform back." But before, Iron Deadhead could make a move, Lyra, Octavia, Vinyl came up to him. "Thanks for saving us," Lyra said, "when that android showed up we thought were done for." "That fight was way past cool!" Vinyl smiled, "totally metal." "Indeed," Octavia nodded, "And I hope you don't mind my asking, but did you see our friend Derpy anywhere?" "I'm sure your friend is fine," Iron Deadhead replied, "she's probably somewhere safe in the school." "How can you be so sure?" Octavia asked, "we haven't told you our friend's name or what she looks like." "Well....." Iron Deadhead responded, "I.....er......um......" But, before the hero could say anything else, there was a flash and Iron Deadhead vanished and in his place was..... "DERPY!!!!???" Lyra, Octavia and Vinyl exclaimed, all at the same time. > Chapter 11 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "DERPY?!" Derpy's friends all exclaimed, in surprise and shock. "Um....hi guys," Derpy said, finally with an embarrassed look on her face. "But...." Octavia said, finally, "how?" "Well," Derpy replied, "it's a long story, maybe we should go somewhere quiet, first." The others nodded and with that, they all left the soccer field. But, unbeknown to anyone Amazo was not completely offline, his head was had been recording everything. Meanwhile, unknown location. "Well, well, well," the figure smiled, as he and Hammerhead watched the footage from Amazo's head. "So, whats the next move, boss?" Hammerhead asked. "I say," the figure replied, "we pay our little hero's friends a visit." Elsewhere, at Sweet Shoppe. ".....and that the whole story," Derpy concluded. She had just finished telling her friends how she had found the dial and how it transformed her into all the different heroes that had been appearing around Canterlot. "It does make a lot sense," Octavia said, "every time a hero showed up, you were nowhere to be seen." "It's hard to believe, something like this could transform up into a superhero," Lyra added, looking at the dial and turning it over in her hand. "Every time I use the dial, it turns me into a different hero every time," Derpy added. "You guys thinking what I'm thinking?" Vinyl asked, taking the dial from Lyra and getting ready to start pressing the buttons. "Vinyl," Octavia said, "I don't think thats a good idea, especially in public." "It wouldn't work anyway," Derpy interjected, "every time I use it, it has to recharge." "But why didn't you tell us sooner?" Lyra asked, "we would have helped you." "Because I still haven't figured it out," Derpy responded. "Figured out what?" Octavia asked. "Everyone else only likes me when in hero form," Derpy replied, "so does that mean I have to be someone else just to be liked by other people?" "Derpy," Octavia said, "what other people think of you doesn't matter, its what you look like on the inside that counts." "And besides," Lyra added, "we're your friends, no superpower is ever going to change that." "Right on," Vinyl nodded. "Thanks, guys," Derpy smiled. "Also," Lyra continued, "you didn't happen to see Bon Bon when you were out superheroing did you?" "No," Derpy replied, "I didn't, where is she anyway?" "That is certainly a mystery," Octavia answered, "the only she told us is that she is doing volunteering work." "Thats odd," Derpy murmured, "she never told me anything about that," "I said exactly that I same thing," Octavia commented. > Chapter 12 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next day. Derpy walked into CHS, feeling a lot more happier and ready for a day of school and hanging out with her friends. But throughout the day, Octavia, Lyra and Bon Bon were nowhere to seen. "I wonder where they are?" Derpy thought, to herself. The rest of the day went by and still no sign of her friends. "Where could they be?" Derpy asked, as she was putting her school things back in her locker. As she was about to close her locker, Derpy noticed a note stuck to the inside of her locker door. It had a Chinese symbol on and it read, 'if you ever want to see your friends again, come alone to this location, as yourself, no superpowers, I know who are you.' "Oh, no," Derpy said, "this is all my fault." Later. Derpy entered her house and headed for Doctor Whooves's shed, "Doctor!" she cried, knocking frantically on the shed door. "What's up?" Doctor Whooves asked, opening the door and allowing Derpy to enter the shed, which was bigger on the inside, "what's the matter?" "Someone took my friends," Derpy replied, showing Whooves the note she had been sent. Doctor Whooves read the note, taking a closer look at the symbol on it. "Well," he said, finally, "the symbol on the letter is the Chinese symbol for demon." "But, what do I do?" Derpy asked, in a frightened tone, "whoever sent that letter, has Lyra, Octavia, Vinyl and maybe Bon Bon too and they want me to come alone, without superpowers, I can't save my friends without the dial." At that, Doctor Whooves brightened up, wiping the tears from Derpy's face, he proclaimed with a smile on his face, "Whoever said you had to use the dial to get powers?" "What do you mean?" Derpy replied. "Follow me," Doctor Whooves responded. Derpy followed Doctor Whooves deeper into the lab, finally stopping at a darkened display case. "Behold," Doctor Whooves declared, turning on display case's lights, "the Muffin Maiden." Derpy's eye opened wide at what she saw, it was a superhero suit designed for her with a double M on the chest, along with goggles and utility belt. "When did you start working on this?" Derpy asked, putting a hand on the display case and turning to Doctor Whooves. "Call in a pet project," Doctor Whooves replied, "when you showed me the dial, I thought to myself 'what if you didn't need the dial to get superpowers'." "You truly are fantastic," Derpy said, smiling at her very special somebody. Doctor Whooves smiled back and took the Muffin Maiden suit out of the display case and handed it to Derpy. "Better get suited up," he replied, "your friends aren't going to rescue themselves." After a few seconds, Derpy stood before a mirror looking at herself in her Muffin Maiden suit. "You look amazing," Doctor Whooves commented, he then explained the various functions of the suit to Derpy. "Right," Derpy nodded, "it's hero time, for real." > Chapter 13 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elsewhere, unknown location. Hammerhead looked over Lyra, Octavia and Vinyl, who were gagged and tied to chairs, nearby stood men in black and white Chinese demon mask. "Are our guests comfortable, Hammerhead?" a voice from shadows asked. "Indeed, boss," Hammerhead answered. "Excellent," the voice replied. From out the shadows, a figure stepped forward. "Then the show can began," the figure declared. Somewhere outside. Derpy crouched in an alleyway across from the place where her friends were being held captive. Even though she was wearing the Muffin Maiden suit she had taken the dial with her, as the suit was still prototype stage. The place was guarded by thugs in demon masks. "Ok," Derpy whispered, "I'm at the location, but it's guarded, any ideas?" "Well," the voice of Doctor Whooves replied, through her goggles, "might suggest using the Morning Glory muffins." Derpy pressed a pocket on her belt and miniature muffin dropped into her hand, a few seconds after the muffin was normal sized. "Twist the top and throw it," Doctor Whooves voice explained. Derpy did exactly what she had been instructed, twisting the top of the muffin and throwing it towards the guards. "What the?" one of the guards said, picking up the muffin that had landed next to him. Seconds later, the muffin exploded emitting a blinding flash of light. While the guards were distracted, Derpy dashed past and entered the building, her goggles protected from the blinding light. "So far, so good," Derpy thought, to herself. "Don't get too cocky," a voice spoke from a hidden intercom, "you're gonna need a lot more than muffins if you ever want to save your friends." From out of nowhere, a robot stepped out, it was the Super Adaptoid, another robot capable of replicating the powers of superheroes. "Alright," Derpy said, "time to put this suit to the test." Meanwhile. The figure and Hammerhead watched as Derpy and the Super Adaptoid faced off, the footage was being transmitted from the Super Adaptoid visual systems. Octavia, Lyra and Vinyl watched from where they tied up. "Come on, Derpy," Octavia urged, "pull through." Back at the fight. Derpy was getting nowhere in her fight with the Super Adaptoid, everything she throw at it was immediately thrown back at her. Her suit wasn't any better either, as the attacks got more powerful the suit got more and more damaged. Finally, the suit was on it's last legs and Derpy had no other option. She pulled the dial from her belt and dialed H-E-R-O and transformed, into the hero Baroness Resin. "Alright, you tin can," Baroness Resin declared, "your headed for the scrap-pile." > Chapter 14 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- As the fight between Baroness Resin and the Super Adaptoid raged, the figure, Hammerhead along with Lyra, Octavia and Vinyl continued to watch. Hammerhead glanced at the figure, who was getting more and more angry as Baroness Resin fired blasts of resin from her hands at the Super Adaptoid and, some how, managing to dodge the robot's attacks by conjuring barriers made of resin. The fight came to an end, pretty quickly, with Baroness Resin trapping the Super Adaptoid in resin and finishing it off with a powerful strike to the robot's face. "Urrr......boss?" Hammerhead said. "Stay here," the figure ordered, drawing a katana and walking off, "guard the hostages, I'll deal with this problem myself." Meanwhile. Baroness Resin was now searching the rest of the building for any signs of Derpy's friends. "I must be getting close," she said, "they have to be somewhere." "Oh, you're close," a voice answered, "closer than you think." Without any warning, a katana, surging with black and white energy, sliced across in front of her, thinking fast Baroness Resin managed to dodge out of the way. "You have been a thorn in my side long enough, the owner of the voice continued, stepping out for the shadows, revealing himself to be Martin Lee a.k.a. Mr Negative. "So you're the one that kidnapped my friends," Baroness Resin cried. "And you're the one who been sticking your nose into my into my business," Mr Negative replied, "you should have stayed out of it." "You've been exploiting people by making them pay money to be protected from you," Baroness Resin retorted, "thats just evil." "I moved to this city to avoid to superheroes," Mr. Negative declared, "but I can see that no matter where I go there will always be a hero around to meddle in my business!" With that, Mr. Negative charged at Baroness Resin, his katana surged furiously with negative energy. "I'd better beat this guy and find the others quick," Baroness Resin thought, sensing her powers beginning to start fading. She tried her best to attack Mr. Negative with her resin powers, but he simply dodged and slashed at her with his katana and fired blasts of negative energy. Finally, it seemed that Baroness Resin was getting the upper hand, "You're about to feel the positive vibes of justice," she announced. But before, she could do anything Baroness Resin transformed back into Derpy, still wearing the torn up Muffin Maiden suit. "At last," Mr. Negative smiled, "the facade drops away, leaving nothing but a helpless nobody." "Just because my eyes don't always work doesn't mean I'm blind to all the things around me," Derpy replied, defiantly, "like you spreading fear and negativity throughout the city." "You will never defeat me," Mr. Negative laughed, "without that dial, you are nothing." "Thats where you're wrong," Derpy smiled, throwing one of her muffins, this one being a puff pastry muffin. Seconds later, the entire area was engulfed in smoke. "Hiding will not help you now," Mr. Negative remarked, "you cannot hope to defeat in your powerless state." "I may not be a superhero," Derpy's voice answered, from somewhere in the smoke, "but I'm still a hero!" From out of nowhere, a volley of muffins came flying in Mr. Negative. He instinctively sliced through them with his katana, "your little toys cannot save you now," Mr. Negative declared, "you are only prolonging the inevitable." "I won't give up," Derpy's voice replied, "I won't give up on my friends, because they're worth fighting for!" "I cannot hide from me forever," Mr. Negative growled, "I will find you, and I will crush you like the insect you are." Suddenly, from out of the smoke there was a flash and then sooty smoke began filling the area. "Cheap trick," Mr. Negative stated, struggling to not breath in any of the sooty smoke, "regardless, this will not stop me." There was no reply from Derpy, the smoke seemed to be grow thicker and thicker. Then from out of the smoke a voice spoke, "Here's whats going to happen," it hissed, "you are going to take your goons and leave this city and never come back....." "Where are you?!" Mr. Negative demanded, "show yourself!" As if in answer, a long boney hand gripped him by the shoulder, Mr. Negative turned to see what had gripped him and what be saw chilled him to the bone. "You will leave and not come back," the creature said, with a maniacal smile on it's face, "unless you want to see what I can do." Before Mr. Negative, could react, the figure, a hero called Boy Chimney, knock him out cold with a single strike. "And that," Boy Chimney declared, as he quickly changed back into Derpy, "is how you dish out a full batch of justice." > Epilogue > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Don't worry guys," Derpy cried, as she entered the room where her friends were being held, "I'm here to......" Derpy stopped in her tracks, her friends had already been untied and Hammerhead and Mr. Negative's goons had already been taken down. "But how?......When?" Derpy spluttered, "when did you guys get free?!" "That would be our doing," a voice replied. From behind Derpy's friends, six people stepped into view. "Agent Phil Coulson," the leader of the group smiled, shaking Derpy's hand, "I've heard so much about you from your friends." "It took a lot courage to take on someone like Mr. Negative," Daisy Johnson a.k.a. Quake added, "you've got some moves." "And it seems you found something that we've been looking for a long time," another member of the group said, approaching Derpy, he was Agent Leo Fitz. As Fitz was saying that, two other members, agents Mack and Melinda May were taking Mr. Negative, Hammerhead and his goons into custody "Oh, right," Derpy said, remembering she still had the dial, she was about to hand it over, then suddenly she and her friends recognised one of the members of the group. "BON BON!" Derpy and her friends cried, in disbelief. "Ok," Bon Bon replied, smiling weakly, "I'm busted and Bon Bon is not my real name it agent Sweetie Drops." "But, why?" Lyra asked. "I was assigned by S.H.E.I.L.D. to monitor the metas, mutants and inhumans at CHS to see if they had potential for S.H.E.I.L.D.'s hero program," Bon Bon explained, "and to check none of them posed any future threat." "So when you texted saying that you were doing volunteer work," Octavia said, "you were being a secret agent?" "Pretty much," Bon Bon replied. "Mind blown," Vinyl breathed. "Please, don't tell anyone at CHS," Bon Bon continued, "it will compromise my mission." "Anyway," Coulson continued, "you've potential and we'd like to offer you a place in S.H.E.I.L.D.'s hero program." "Thanks," Derpy replied, as she passed the dial to Fitz, "but no thanks, I'm already part of a super team." "I understand," Coulson smiled, he handed Derpy a card, "if you change your mind give us a call." With that, the S.H.E.I.L.D. agents, along with the captured villains exited the building. "See you guys at school tomorrow," Bon Bon said, as she followed the other S.H.E.I.L.D. agents. "Well, that the end of your superhero career, Derpy," Vinyl remarked, once they were alone. "Oh, I won't say that," Derpy replied, "the dial may be gone, but the Muffin Maiden is here to stay." "I was wondering when you were going to explain that outfit," Octavia commented. "Oh, right," Derpy smiled, sheepishly remembering the damage suit she had on. She began explaining how Doctor Whooves had made the suit and gadgets for her in order to rescue them. Next day. "Finally," Derpy said, as she entered her house, "A normal day with no superpowers." "You seem happy," Doctor Whooves greeted, "and sorry about the suit, I'll have new one made and add some improvements to the new one." "I think I'm only going to use it, in an emergencies," Derpy replied, after some thinking, "it'd be a good idea to have it ready, just in case." "Suit or not," Doctor Whooves smiled, "you're always be my little hero." Derpy smiled and two gave each other a big hug.
