> Necrozma and the Displaced Village > by Cipher800 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Lost in Equis > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the middle of a desolate world, there is no light, nothing to illuminate the surrounding, barren landscape free of any vegetation, and what little was there had died so long ago, not rotting as to show how barren it was. In the midst of the darkness and lifelessness, a whole mess of colors opened up, taking a wormhole shape, with some of the white lines forming cracks in the air itself. Out of the wormhole, came a bright light in the form of a shining, four-winged dragon. The dragon was a giant, measuring over twenty-four feet, or about seven and a half meters in height, and weighed around five hundred pounds, or two hundred thirty kilograms, but most of his weight came from the 'armor' that was placed all over his body, like his head, chest, wings, and legs. On his head, a pair of eyes, one red and one blue rested. This godlike dragon of light is Necrozma. You may know of him as the black prism humanoid thing that woke lives at Ten Carat Hill, or as some special kind of Ultra Beast, but Necrozma has a lot more going on with him that what meets the eye. He looked around at the desolate landscape, and let out a lot of light, which illuminated the surrounding lands, and the grey landscape slowly turned into a lovely green as flora sprouted, and fauna came out to look at the strange dragon. They were curious on who Necrozma is, but he simply opened another Ultra Wormhole, and flew to another world in need of light the same way he came to that world. Thousands of years pass, and the world began to thrive as it had been before it lost its sun, whatever it had been back then. Time passed, and a civilization was built upon it. But once more, the area had become dark once again, and the only light came from buildings, notably the giant tower in the center. The residents of this city were human like us, but centuries of artificial light led them to become a depressing blueish-gray in color. As for where they are in the story? Well, it is for later. We are focusing on another one of Necrozma's stops: welcome to Equestria. The Summer Sun Celebration was being held that day, when it happened. Celestia was about to raise the sun not to signify Nightmare Moon’s banishment, but the return of her sister. Ever since Twilight had become a princess, it was the case, as it was when the Elements were returned to their original place within the Tree of Harmony. However, Canterlot is not going to be our main focus for the story. While the Mane Six and the Celestial Sisters were there, Spike was left behind to maintain the library. He never knew why they didn’t invite him, and he was not sure where his destiny is, but, he complied, and he was busy helping them. “Come on everypony, let’s keep it up and going!” Mayor Mare shouted encouragingly. “We’ve only got a little bit more to go, and then we’ll get the celebration underway!” While the ponies were busy setting up the backbone for the part, Spike just sighed and sat down on a log. Sometimes, he felt… left out. Owlowiscious belonged to Twilight, so he was out of the picture. Sure, Spike had a phoenix, but, he was forced to give it up. He wanted a companion of his own, someone to be with, but who? Behind him, he felt a small bump as something touched his back, and Spike looked to see one of the cutest things that he had ever laid eyes on. It was a blue ball of dust with lighter blue balls connected to it, and its face was simplistic and had the cutest little smile on it. “Cos?” it asked, looking around. Spike looked back at the Cosmog, smiling at it. “How did you get here? I haven’t seen anything like you.” he said as he got up from his spot on the log, and went towards the living cluster of space dust. “Cosmog, cos, cos-mog!” it said as it looked at him. Spike merely tilted his head at the Cosmog. “Heh, you’re so cute. But, I am not sure Twilight would let you in after an… incident a while back.” “Cos?” “Cos-what?” Spike asked. The Cosmog kept saying the same word, much to the dragon child’s confusion. “Is that all you can say to me?” Fortunately, the Cosmog responded, nodding up and down to say yes. “I’ll take that as a yes.” he said, looking at the strange creature floating by his side. He had seen many things, but the Cosmog was unknown to him. “Cosmog, cos-mog!” it said as it pointed one of its blue balls into the sky. “Since when does the sky glow white?” He asked before looking towards the direction of the forest, and saw white light rising from that point. “What’s happening!?” Spike yelled out as everyone, save for Cosmog, were panicking, and Cosmog just huddled up to its friend, putting him into a hug. The screams of panicking ponies were shut off from the rest of the world as the dome of light closed in on them. Everyone expected the light to engulf them as well, but nothing happened. A young filly walked up to the barrier, and curiously touched a hoof at it, but shrieked in pain as her left front leg from the elbow to the hoof was cut clean off. The bright light lasted for a good hour or so before the dome began to fade. “Cosmog, (if that’s what I should be calling you) are you alright?” Spike asked as he looked at the alien in his hands, who did its version of a nod while closing its eyes. “Good.” Everybody got up and proceeded to look around. The town was completely intact, save for a few cut edges where roads used to be. Thank goodness there were still trees, water, and a sky that was actually blue. Wait, they looked up, and the sky was as blue as day, with the sun just rising from its resting point on the horizon, accompanied by a few free clouds. Instead of neighboring a forest, Ponyville was completely surrounded by forest. That was the first sign they’ve been gone. The second was the abscence of a tall mountain with a castle on it, but Ponyville now neighbored a mountain range. On one of the edges of the town, a severed back hoof belonging to a pegasus guard lay, bleeding its remaining juices it had from its owner before the dome separated them. "Oh, fudge." Meanwhile, somewhere else, a panicking pegasus guard told his report. “Prin-Princesses?” he asked, a slight waver in his voice. “Had to get to Canterlot... tell you...” “Tell us what?” she queried gently. “Ponyville... it’s gone.” "What!" Twilight shrieked in fear.
