Ponies everywhere were suffering from heat stroke or various degrees of burns. As she trotted in on her light apple green hooves the mare was surprised to see how quickly the health facility had filled in. She wasn't even on the ground floor but every department seemed to be as overwhelmed as the next. “Geez, this is out of control. You'd think that now with the trouble being over there'd be a sense of relief on everypony's face. But you sure couldn't tell that from being in here. But I guess that's what happens when you have to face a pony from the sky.” Looking back over her shoulder Bon Bon jumped behind a row of chairs at seeing a light green mare with a pale mane standing across the room. “Oh wait, that's just Sprinkle Medley. Phew, I thought Lyra was about to catch me needing help again.” She stated to herself, still paranoidly searching around as she avoided putting too much pressure on her burned hooves.. Elsewhere on this floor Bon Bon saw several nurses trying to treat the injured right out in the hallways because there weren't enough doctors or even enough rooms for everypony who needed help. To her left she saw Nurse Tenderheart who was a blue mare with a dull green mane. Her pink eyes looked down to a crying colt who had been hurt by a rolling fireball during the conflict outside. To Bon Bon's right she saw Nurse Sweetheart who was an earth pony a little on the portly side with a bubblegum pink coat. She brushed her two toned bangs above her brow as she tried her best to assist the three patients all complaining to her at one time. “Yeah, it's complete chaos in here.” Bon Bon surmised to herself. Before she had a chance to move on she saw the doors to this emergency ward suddenly burst open as a group of ponies led a black stallion in on a stretcher. “Move! Everypony please! Do not block the walkways!” Nurse Snowheart called out. She had a yellow coat and a curly pale blue mane. She was a bit older than the other nurses but that did not stop her from wheeling the unconscious stallion's stretcher around like she was on a race track. Traveling along with her was Princess Twilight Sparkle accompanied by her usual entourage of other friends. The princess assisted by begging ponies to move aside while Rarity argued that this stallion had saved their lives so they should show their gratitude by letting him be seen first. Seeing that this was causing far too much commotion for her tastes, Bon Bon quietly slipped out a nearby window and crawled from there into an adjacent patient's room. Once inside she found that there was another nurse who had just finished wrapping up the bandages for a stallion who tried putting some fires out by stomping on them. This nurse was much younger than the others but you could hardly tell by how thorough she assisted her patient. She had a dull purple coat with a cutie mark of a manilla folder on her flank. Her mane was a vibrant neon blue which really pulled your eye in to her magenta colored eyes. Now that the patient was finished she carefully assisted them to the door but as soon as they were gone the nurse head somepony clearing their throat from behind her. “Wha- oh, Sweetie Drops! For the last time will you stop sneaking in to see me through the windows?!” She yelled, trying to sound angry but the sweetness of her young voice made it hard to take her seriously. “Aw come on Orderly. How many times do I have to tell you that I go by Bon Bon now?” She corrected her as she dropped in from the window sill. The tension between them was short lived as the two friends smiled and gave each other a hug. “Yeah, yeah. Well anyways it's good to see you. I figured you might be stopping by. You know, with the old crew being called out of retirement and all. I had just hoped you wouldn't be too hurt… and that you would have used the door.” “Alright, enough with that would ya? Look, I'll admit that I was in a hurry. Even with the recent events, Lyra doesn't know that I've been called back into service. I don't want to worry her so I was hoping I could get a quick patch up from you so I can get outta here.” She showed where she had her hooves scorched from trying to dig other ponies out of fallen rubble. “I was surprised when somepony said that you were here at the hospital though. You were our field medic so whatcha doing here?” “We go where we're needed Bon Bon.” Orderly explained while applying a burn cream to her friend's injuries. “The hospital is overrun as I'm sure you have noticed.” “Yeah, I've never seen it this bad before. Do you really think that psycho was going to try to burn our whole world?” “Of course she was. I mean look around at all the injured. And this is just the aftermath of her failing. But anyways, that isn't what's important right now. You're all patched up and I have a lot more-” Just then the doors out in the waiting room were blown off their hinges and almost collided with several ponies before clattering to the ground. The lights in the room began to flicker as everypony froze in fear. Chrysalis stood there in the doorway baring her fangs menacingly. "Where is he?" She whispered just loud enough for all to hear her. When all the panicked faces had only met her with silence she screamed out, “WHERE IS RAYNE?! WHERE ARE YOU KEEPING HIM?!” Contrary to her name, an agitated Nurse Sweetheart stepped over to say that there would be no visiting hours until every patient has had a chance to be attended to. "You want me to leave?” Chrysalis asked and the nurse just nodded nervously. “Then just try to remove me!" At that the changeling then began to advancement the small nurse. Just then Nurse Redheart ran into the room screaming, “It's fine!” Being the head nurse at this hospital all the other staff looked to her for help with the situation. She was a tall mare with a light gray coat. Her pale pink mane was tucked neatly under her nurses hat as she ran unafraid straight up to the changeling. “Look, we have more important matters to deal with! If you will agree to sit quietly and not interfere with the hospital staff then you can be shown to the patient's room.” Not caring in the least about any other pony's problems Chrysalis yelled again while sounding quite vicious. “Tell me which room Rayne was taken to so that if he isn't dead yet I can kill him myself!” Instinctively Bon Bon put a protective hoof in front of Orderly and took a step forward in case a fight were to break out. However Redheart was not moved as she stomped a hoof angrily, “Shouting idle threats will not see you be helped any faster! He is in room 13C and I will gladly escort you there myself! Now will you please calm down?!" Everypony still seemed nervous but they looked on curiously as Chrysalis quieted down and followed while Redheart lead her to the first room in a nearby hallway. However as the head nurse opened the door to where Twilight and her friends had guided the unconscious stallion, everyone in the waiting room saw something they did not expect. Tears began to fill the changeling's eyes as she stared into the room in front of her. “Get out…” She hissed to the group that was inside. “All of you GET OUT NOW!” She wailed into the room before then beginning to cry, almost collapsing to the floor. From inside, the first to exit was Fluttershy with her head bowed low to the ground. Behind her followed Pinky, Rarity, Rainbow Dash and then Applejack. “What's wrong with him?!” Chrysalis cried out to the last visotor in the room. To those watching, a purple set of hooves could be see in the doorway before a voice said, “We don't know yet. Rayne is unconscious and won't wake up. The doctors-” “WHY NOT?!” Chrysalis howled in sorrow. “He  won the fight! He defeated that that bitch! Why should he be the one to remain hurt?!” After shouting this final time Chrysalis ran into the room where everypony could hear how her sobbing intensified. “Hey, Chrysalis stop it!” The purple alicorn shouted. “You know that he was already hurt from the first time he faced against off against her. It is probably a miracle that his plan worked to defeat her this second time!" The pain in her heart clouded her reasoning as she bitterly snapped, “Oh what do you know? Just get out! Leave me with him, get out!” Just then the door to another room right next to Orderly's opened up and a furious looking Doctor Horse stepped out. “What is going on out here?! Why is every pony just standing around?” Looking to Orderly for no other reason then she was closest he scowled and asked, “Why is there a room full of patients with no nurses helping them?” “Right sir, sorry sir.” She whimpered meekly. After that the doctor stepped over to where Twilight was just now exiting from the room. As soon as he had entered everypony could hear him shouting from within. “I don't care who you are or what your connections to the patient might be. If you want me to help him and to not be responsible for making in his injuries worse, then sit in that chair over there so that I can work!” There was some silence now as everypony heard the small squeak of a chair's wheels. “Where are my nurses?! I have a patient here with multiple third degree burns and deep lacerations! We're going to need a cleaning station, my surgical equipment, and an IV for an electrolyte drip right away!" Quickly now each of the hospital staff busied themselves to either carry out his orders or return to assisting the other patients. At this time Bon Bon turned to look at Orderly and said, “Hey, clearly you have your hooves full so I'm going to get out of your mane. Thank you for patching me up and come say hi to Lyra and me later if you free.” They hugged again and then the stealthy earth pony was off. Just as soon as Bon Bon had left, again going out through the window, Nurse Redheart appeared in the doorway. "Order Files! What are you doing just standing around?! You're going to be assigned to the patient in room 13C until he recovers. Seeing as he is our only patient suffering from a lack of consciousness we will need to keep him under careful observation.” Now Orderly looked a little depressed realizing that was the very room that Chrysalis had forced her way into. But being an experience field medic, that wasn't going to stop her from doing her duties even if she did have to deal with the former changeling queen. “Go on, we need you to get in there right away. Doctor Horse is going to need oxygen for the patient as well as testing for any internal injuries. So get a move on!” Not wanting to be reprimanded an addition time the small purple nurse rushed off to collect the equipment that would be needed. A few minutes later she entered into room 13C pushing a cart of equipment along with her. In the center of the room the dark stallion lay unconscious with monitoring devices already attached to measure both his blood pressure and his heart rate. As Orderly came in she was given no acknowledgement from the either Doctor Horse or Nurse Snowheart as they were both too distracted inspecting the severity of the stallion's burns. Chrysalis however seemed to hiss in disgust at her entry, seeming as if she were offended by the hospital sending in such a paltry looking mare to assist. Ignoring this, Orderly set out the supplies and began preparing the patient to be connected to a breathing machine. “Wait, what is that? What are you doing to him?” Chrysalis asked defensively as she watched the seemingly uncomfortable process of feeding the air tube down the patient's throat. While not even looking up from where he was swapping a burn, Doctor Horse said aloud, “You wouldn't want your boyfriend here to suddenly run out of air while we're working on him, now would you?” Chrysalis backed down into her seat but even at her silence the doctor still added, “Look, you need to understand that this patient is about to be prepped for surgery. If seeing a breathing tube inserted makes you feel uncomfortable than how am I to expect you to react when I start cleaning away his scorched tissue with a scalpel?” Chrysalis's eyes looked like her heart just sank but in an uncharacteristically meek tone for her she whispered out, "No, please. I'm sorry. I'll be quiet. Just let me stay here, please…” The doctor gave a grunt but otherwise did not comment and then began to sterilize in the tools he was planning to use. “Nurse Files, secure the room please.” Quickly closed the door and labeled the window that a surgery was in progress. Then she closed a transparent clean room screen around the table which Chrysalis watched through as they attempted to remove the damaged tissue. After several hours of grueling work the medical staff had to step away to reevaluate Rayne's condition. Chrysalis sat quietly feeling helpless having watched them snip the charred skin away from her lover's body. "Doctor, come here. You should see this. I believe I found the source of the trauma.” Nurse Snowheart announced. Stepping around to the far side of the table the doctor surveyed Rayne's side examining just below his ribs. “Yes, it looks like we are still going to have some work to do. But before that, let's get cleaned up here a bit.” The medical staff now began the process to refresh the cleanliness of their operation. Several instruments were in need of being cleaned while others had to be replaced.  Additionally a large assortment of discarded bandages and gauze needed to be disposed of. Orderly Files busied herself with collecting all of the waste which had accumulated during the procedure. Standing there holding a red bag with a medical biohazard symbol on it, Orderly suddenly paused to stare at Chrysalis who had stayed to watch over this stallion. The changeling was staring longingly toward the dark unicorn clearly feeling sick with worry. However Orderly had obviously been staring for too long as the changeling looked her way in confusion. "Um, Orderly…?” Doctor Horse spoke up, breaking the daze that she had fallen into. "Oh, yes doctor?” She quickly asked. “Do you need some help with that?” “With what doctor?” The light amber stallion just glanced from her to the sealed red bag she was holding. “Oh? What's this? Oh no, I was doing it again wasn't I?" She asked nervously. But the doctor just gently replied, “Not to worry. Everything is fine Miss Files. Go ahead and dispose of that and you can help us prepare for the end of the procedure." Trying to make up for lost time, Orderly rushed out of the room to dispose of the waste as well as to go fetch some fresh suppliers. However as she left, the changeling sat there with a dumbfounded look on her face. “Ah, excuse me doctor?” Chrysalis asked as both he and Nurse Snowheart looked over. “Go ahead, Miss Chrysalis…” She frowned at that but resisted the urge to correct him on our insisted royal status. "We are taking a short break and I assure you then the patient's condition is not likely to change within the next few minutes. Why don't you use the opportunity to stretch your legs, use the restroom, whatever you might feel you need to do." The tall female nodded and stood up, not having realized how stiff she had gotten from sitting in that small pony chair for so long. “Actually doctor, I was wanting to ask about that small runty looking pony you had in here assisting with Rayne…” Chrysalis stated, not seeming at all ashamed to openly slander the mare who had just left the room. Instantly Snowheart clattered a tray she was holding down onto the desk in anger. But Doctor Horse just raised a hoof to calm her. “Nurse Files is an exemplary physicians aid who I would personally trust to care for any patient within this building. She has more than proved her merritt in the field of medicine time and time again so I would ask that you please refrain from making insulting remarks about my staff.” Chrysalis approached the male pony and Snowheart wasn't sure if she should run for help. “Your staff,” Chrysalis began, "isn't worth remarking on to me.” She stated suggestively. “But I can tell that something isn't right with that girl and if somepony becomes responsible for the miss care of my love then you can believe that I will make my displeasure very well known.” She threatened before stepping over to Rayne's bedside to look down at him lovingly. Hissing maliciously at the nurse you tried to stop her, Chrysalis then bent down to place a gentle kiss upon his forehead. “All the pleasures in the world will I share with you…” At first the other two ponies looked confused. But then even their hearts were warmed when she continued with, “Just wake... Please, come back to me my love.” Doctor Horse gave them a moment as Chrysalis looked down feeling saddened to see as injuries. But after a while he stepped forward and said, “We will save him. His injuries are not life threatening but his recovery will take time." Chrysalis just stood there and did not respond. But the stallion knew that the absence of a vile remark meant that she was at least somewhat comforted by his words. "Now if you would please, we need to set up. I need you to step away. We have to prepare for the end of the procedure.” She delayed in moving, not wanting to separate from Rayne after everything that had happened. But after not too long Chrysalis stepped back and made her way straight toward the door. “I won't be gone long. I expect to not have my entry barred once I return." As soon as the changeling closed the door behind her the two ponies inside gasped as if they had been holding their breath for the last several hours. “Oh thank goodness!” Nurse Snowheart stated. “That Chrysalis! I don't care if she supposedly has had her hunger sated and is no longer a threat to Equestria. That is not the same thing as being reformed and she is still vile and nasty and rude! She still creeps the fur off my flank!” Doctor Horse sighed as if he already had more on his mind than he could deal with. "Nurse, a little professionalism if you please. I don't like it either and yes it is against procedure allowing her to stay. But you know as well as I do that it is likely the lesser of two evils to do so." ”I'm sorry doctor. The call as yours. I'm going to begin readministering disinfectant to the patient now.” Meanwhile, outside the room those medical ponies couldn't have been farther from Chrysalis's ’ mind. She was frozen in place standing just outside the door to where Rayne lay unconscious behind her. She had hardly noticed when her vision blurred from tears welling up in her eyes. Before long the once proud Queen collapsed to her knees and began sobbing heavily into her hooves. It was right then that another mare appeared at the end of the hall who also had a heart full of worry for Rayne. Dark blue hooves clattered frantically along the tile floor. Desperate eyes hastily scanned along the room numbers. However as soon as the newcomer’s gaze happened upon the changeling, those dark hooves froze as if electricity had fixed them to the floor. Realizing that someone else was there now, Chrysalis looked up to see not just any pony but an alicorn staring her way. Luna stood there in stark contrast, darker fur clashing with a bouquet of bright yellow flowers. But now her ears had fallen and her eyes stared wide at the changeling collapsed down onto her knees. “No…” Luna whimpered as she began rushing down the hall. Chrysalis felt like she lacked the energy to react as she saw Luna approaching. “No, no, no, no, no!” Luna pleaded, dropping the flowers in favor of making a full sprint kneel down by Chrysalis’ side. “What is it?! What's wrong?! Is he okay?! Why do you lie here crying on the floor?! Don't tell me that… Rayne, he's not…”  Luna choked out, not even being able to give words to her fears. The other mare just looked away from her sourly. "No, he is not." Instantly Luna took a sigh of relief. Being able to think more calmly now she looked over the still distraught mood of the changeling and asked, “So…? What news doth thou have on Rayne's condition?!” “Well I dare not say that he is doing fine just because he lives.” Chrysalis spat out so angrily that she almost bit Luna in the face on accident. "Excuse me but would thou care to explain why I am being treated like the villain all of a sudden?!" Luna retorted, being a bit short tempered herself. “Where were you?!" Chrysalis growled through her teeth. “Rayne was brought in hours ago!" She screamed, not caring in the least as her voice echoed down the hallways. The hour had grown late and Luna looked about feeling glad that there is nopony else was standing nearby. “Don't thee dare make this out to be about me! You know that I wanted nothing more than to be here by Rayne's side as soon as he was brought in! But I have duties as a princess that still have to come first! Rayne knows this AND SO DO YOU!” Luna roared angrily. Chrysalis began to lift herself from the floor but the now enraged princess rounded upon her, not being finished yet. “There were still ponies to save, a world to fix, and fires to put out! MAGICAL FIRES BY THE WAY! Do you have any idea how difficult those were for the others and I to extinguish?! We really could have used your help! We even had to call in reserves from out of retirement! SO WHERE WERE YOU WHEN-” “HERE!!!” Chrysalis shrieked so hard that her voice cracked and Luna was brought back to her senses at seeing the tears fall from the changeling's eyes. “I WAS HERE WATCHING AS THEY HAD TO OPERATE ON HIM!” Luna's eyes now spread wide as the air almost all but disappeared from her lungs. “What?! But, but… Rayne knows how to heal his wounds. His magic can-” “HE'S IN A COMA LUNA! THEY CAN'T WAKE HIM!” Instantly Luna's hooves fell out from under her causing her back end to collapse into a sitting position. Her heart began to pound so loudly in her ears that she wouldn't have been able to hear Chrysalis continue if it weren't for her screaming. “I HAD TO WATCH… AS THEY CUT HIM… AS THESE STUPID, USELESS, HOSPITAL PONIES HAD TO CUT HIS BURNED COAT AWAY FROM HIM!” Luna was breathless as Chrysalis sobbed to her with tears streaming down her face. “AND I WAS ALONE FOR THAT! YOU WEREN'T THERE! YOU WEREN'T THERE FOR RAYNE, YOU WEREN'T THERE FOR ME! LUNA, I'VE NEVER HAD TO DEAL WITH FEELINGS LIKE THIS BEFORE! I- I DON'T KNOW, HOW, DEAL- With… uhhng…” Chrysalis whined and began to choke, collapsing sideways to the ground as her screaming began to trail off. Seeing this, Luna realized that Chrysalis was having a major panic attack right in front of her. Luna immediately threw her arms around her and held on to Chrysalis tightly. “I'm sorry! You're right! I should have been here for you, I should have been here for you both. I didn't know how bad it was and you shouldn't have had to deal with that on your own. Darling I'm so sorry. But I am here now. I'm here and I'm not leaving.” Luna told her, intimately taking Chrysalis by the face and kissing her deeply on the lips. For her part Chrysalis tried to turn away giving a half hearted attempt to push the alicorn back. “N-no, I'm not hungry.”  She mumbled weakly. "Oh stop it, look at you! Your eyes are sunken in and you hardly have the strength to resist me. You must be starving. Come now, don't make me baby you like Rayne does. It isn't just him. I love you too Chrysalis, I know you know that. Now eat a little, please.” She still pretended as if she weren't interested but after another press from the familiar mare's lips upon hers, Chrysalis wrapped her hooves around Luna's neck hungrily. There in the hospital hallway she passionately began to make out with the dark colored alicorn. Shoving Luna back against against the wall Chrysalis moaned in satisfaction as her belly filled and her strength returned. “I love you too Luna. I love you both.” “And I love you both. He will be okay. We will get through this together.” Luna chuckled at how the once queen now held onto her like a frightened child needing support. "Easy, easy my love. I've got you… Be careful now, you'll crush the flowers that I got for Rayne. You wouldn't believe how hard it was to purchase these at this late hour. Especially right after an Equestrian wide disaster, hehe.” Chrysalis chuckled and then reached down to pick up the bouquet. All the flowers were the same, yellow with four lobed petals joined only at the base. "Ugh, for forsythias." Chrysalis mused in disgust. "I will never understand why Rayne likes these so much." Luna just chuckled and then looked to them as she agreed, “Tis true. Truth be told they are not my favorite either. But he loves them." After taking a moment to collect themselves they both stood up from the floor together and attempted to wipe the puffy dampness from their eyes. “So tell me, how is Rayne really? I can understand him having a few burns, we all saw what that witch did to him. But… a coma? Truly? I had thought that he had only fainted.” Chrysalis just scoffed. “Witch? That's putting it politely. You should just say what I know you're thinking and call her a-” “Actually, it might interest you both to know that it is a bit early to say the patient is officially in a coma.” Now the two female lovers looked down to see a small mare who had interrupted them. “Yes he did faint. But it had been from a dramatic drop in his blood pressure. Most likely  it was from the wound on his side. We're keeping an eye on it and making sure that both his oxygen and circulation levels are up. The surgery that we've alread-” But now it was Chrysalis' turn to interrupt as she gave a hateful glare down to the little purple nurse. "You are that floundering little mare who was helping during the surgery.” Upon hearing this Luna became overjoyed and she eagerly added in, "Oh, you are one of the hospital staff helping to care for our beloved stallion? Well, let me just say that we are so grateful for all of the help that you-” “So what is that's wrong with you?” “Chrysalis!” Luna balked at the rudeness her partner was showing. Meanwhile, Orderly was left feeling stunned. The words stuck with her, ‘wrong with you,’ and being put on the spot like that made her recluse into herself. She looked up from behind the replenished supply cart from the alicorn to the changeling queen feeling quite daunted by both of them. "Well?" Chrysalis pressed, expecting an answer from the intimidated looking mare. “I, I, uhh…” Orderly mumbled as she had a bit of an anxiety attack from memories of similar situations happening to her before. She looked up at Chrysalis remembering how angry she had been earlier that day. Then she looked to Luna wondering what such an important political figure was doing here at the hospital. Still not having said anything Orderly looked down to the fresh tools and bandages as her mind instantly recapped in perfect detail what the uses for each item could be. Now Luna and Chrysalis just looked up to each other wondering why the nurse was just standing there in a daze and not answering them. All the sudden the little purple pony looked up to both of them and cheerfully stated, "Oh, excuse me. I'm sorry, I seem to have forgotten what it was I was thinking about. But if you'll excuse me they really need to get these tools inside." Chrysalis felt her jaw fell open in disbelief. “S-She… forgot…?!” Quickly her blood began to boil but it was Luna who spoke up before she could react. "Wait a minute, I recognize you. Your name is Orderly, right? You used to work for my sister in that special response team. Hmm, your position was their field medic if I'm not mistaken." Now Orderly smiled uneasily but then nodded. "We aren't really supposed to talk about it but you're right. That was me. I still see a few of them from time to time whenever one of them needs to get bandaged up without their loved ones finding out." "But what are you doing here? My sister had called all retired service ponies into action after the recent trouble with Astra Nova." Leaning her small body against the cart now Orderly looked up to Luna explaining, “Well originally I was out there. But once the chaos was pretty much over a decision was made to just move all of the injured ponies here to the local hospital. I'm not good with heavy lifting so I…”  But then she seemed to trail off again. “So you…?” Luna inquired when it looked like Orderly wasn't going to continue on her own. “Oh, sorry. So I was sent back here where my medical knowledge could be of better use.” They had their explanation but the stalling manner in which it was given left a lingering uneasiness in the air. “Ah, if you will forgive me," Luna began, “you suffer from… aspergers. Is that right?” She asked, trying to put it delicately so as to not offend. But Orderly just smiled showing that she wasn't ashamed to be yourself. "Yes, that's right. I really do have a very extensive medical knowledge even though I'm not quite as old as some of the other staff here in the hospital. I can memorize the technical aspects of the job very well. It's just that sometimes focusing is hard… That or I'll focus on the wrong thing too much and forget what else was going on.” Luna nodded in understanding but that was when their peaceful discussion was violently interrupted. A dark hoof swiped upwards slapping a surgical tray covered in equipment to the floor. “Is this some kind of sick joke?! You can't be allowed to work here!” Chrysalis screamed. “W-why not?” Orderly mumbled out as both she and Luna were completely startled by the outburst. “Are you stupid? Or are you just that inapt?! What kind of worthless facility is this that they would allow somepony as pathetic as you to work in a medical field?!” Chrysalis hissed, not pulling any punches as she left her feelings be known. That was when Doctor Horse stepped out into the hall to investigate the commotion. “Just what is going on out here?!” Chrysalis turned on him without hesitation while shouting, “What's going on is that I just found out the personnel working here is an insult! How DARE you allow a mentally deficient pony to remain around the sick and injured?!” “Now you wait just one minute!” Doctor Horse shouted back as Chrysalis pointed to the young nurse who immediately shrank into herself. “THAT is enough!” Luna declared to her partner, stomping her hoof demanding. The doctor quickly followed up with, “Now I was generous enough to allow you to stay before, despite your bad attitude. But I don't care who you are or how dangerous you can be. I want you out of this hospital right now!” He slammed his own hoof to the floor and then other nurses started running down the hallways to investigate the shouting. “Miss Files, please take the remaining items on the supply cardlt inside and finish getting ready to proceed with our patient. Don't worry, I will clean up the mess that's been made out here." But when Orderly nodded and meekly began pushing forward that only seemed to infuriate the changeling more. “WHAT?! ARE YOU DEAF? HOW DARE YOU DISREGARD ME, I WON'T HAVE IT!” Then to everypony's surprise, Chrysalis grabbed the cart forcing it back to fall right on top of Orderly who was then knocked to the ground. “I won't let that incompetent little bitch go anywhere near him again!” Instantly the other nurses broke out into a full run trying to get close enough to help. But that was when there was a sudden flash of blue light and everypony saw Chrysalis tumbling across the ground. They all watched as a furious looking Luna stepped over and she spoke softly but with a dominance that was thundering. "I said that is enough. How dare you embarrass me... embarrass us, like this? I came here for Rayne but now I will not even get to see him because you can't keep yourself under control!” Chrysalis looked dazed for a moment but then changed from looking angry to sad as if she weren't sure how to feel. "I am taking you back to Rayne's place where you and I are going to have a very long and personal talk about a great many things!" By now the hospital staff had surrounded them in case any more commotion needed to be quelled. Nurse Snowheart quickly bent down to Orderly while wrapping a hoof around her. “Are you okay there sweetie?” Orderly just nodded as the other nurse rushed her away into the room as quickly as she could. Looking up to all the concerned faces around them Luna whispered out, “I'm sorry. I am so sorry to all of you. We will return but we shall do so in the morning... And during proper visiting hours… After checking in with reception, only when and if Rayne has been cleared for visitors by the good doctor here.” She said, trying to be as clear a possible. “Again, I am so sorry.”  Chrysalis frowned realizing she had no choice in the matter as Luna promptly teleported the both of them away. - - - Rayne awoke the next morning feeling groggy but he could tell even before opening his eyes that something was not right. He blinked a few times but he could feel that something was attached over his face. He tried to reach up to feel what it was but found that his limbs were wrapped up in something. Trying to think back, Rayne remained still and quiet for a moment as memories from of a gruesome fight flickered of back and forth through his mind. Images of blood and fire clashing together were followed only by a deafening silence before all faded to black. Soon his attention returned to his current situation as he tried to take stock of what he could. “I know that air…” He thought to himself quietly. "That tastes like hospital air.” Moving slower now he gently parted his eyelids. His left eye was covered over by white gauze, reminding him of flames licking across him and burning his face. His right eye was uncovered and looked down seeing bandages extend across him from end to end. Giving only the most gentle attempts to move he quickly found that he was restrained in place, most likely to prevent him from injuring himself. Using his one good eye he attempted to get a view of his surroundings but all he could see was a generic hospital room. “Am I alone?” He wondered as he glanced about. It wasn't until he attempted to turn his the head that a deep tickle in his throat led him to cough. “Ugh, no. I have a breathing tube in. Well thaaat's uncomfortable.” For what seem fortunate at the time, it wasn't long before Rayne saw a young nurse enter the room and immediately begin looking over his chart. She was a frail looking thing and the vibrance of her neon mane was striking. He did not recognize her or her cutie mark which was just a simple manila file folder. As she turned about to check his vitals he couldn't help but notice that her petite features did make her kind of cute. Rayne took a moment wondering what the best way to get her attention would be seeing as he had a breathing to in and all his limbs were held in place. But just then there was another voice which startled him into closing his eyes again before he got a chance to think of anything else. “G’ morning!” Screamed the unexpected newcomer who sounded as if they just climbed in through the window. “Ahhh! Oh, darn it Sweetie Drops! You scared me!” The nurse shouted in response. “Hey, I keep telling you that you need to call me Bon Bon! I don't go by that name anymore!” Complained the other mare, who Rayne had no trouble recognizing. “It's going to be security that I call if you don't start learning how to use the door and like everypony else.” “Ah come on Files. You know that you're the only one I can count on when I need to get patched up in a hurry.” “What?! I just fixed you up last night!” “Haha, yeah I know. But I'm not actually here for me right now. I'm here for you. Are you okay? I heard that you were attacked last night.” “Are you kidding me? That happened so early in the morning! Redheart hasn't even come back in yet! How did you already hear about that?!” “Ah come on. That was a big event and your coworkers just love to gossip. Plus I like to keep up on my friends." Rayne just sat still pretending to be sleeping as he listened to their conversation. As much as he was wanting assistance to get the tube out of his throat, he also decided it would be a good idea if he could hear what had happened since he blacked out. “Well don't worry, everything is fine.” His nurse said. “It was just a loved one of a patient who was getting emotional. The biggest thing that happened was that a cart got turned over. That is all." "Hmm, well alright then. But you need to remember that you have friends you can call on when you need it. I mean it Orderly, I know how you can get! I don't want to hear about you letting anypony get you down about yourself.” Afterward there was a brief silence which made Rayne quirk an eye open curiously. Soon after though Orderly spoke softly, sounding just barely louder than a whisper. "But it is true though that my condition does make ponies worry. You know as well as I do that I will always have this problem. “THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU!” Bon Bon shouted, sounding as of she were going to encourage this nurse even if she had to beat it into her. “Yes there is Bon Bon! And it's insensitive of you to treat me like there isn't!” Now the other mare fell silent not having expected that sort of reaction. “I know what you're trying to do. You're trying to say I can fit in like everypony else. Now that would be fine if you want to say that my handicap doesn't have to hold me back. But don't talk to me as if the difficulties that I face aren't even there!" Rayne was still keeping his eyes closed but it sounded as if the nurse, this ‘Orderly’ as she was called, had whimpered a bit. “Hey,” Bon Bon began, “I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that. Listen to me, you are a great pony. You know just as much about medicine as some of the full time doctors here. Back before, Celestia trusted you enough to put you on the monster hunting squad with me because she knew that you could be counted on when we needed you. And over the years you have become a close friend from how sweet and caring you always are. I just wish you could find your fire a little more because truth be told when you do, you can be a total badass.“ Now both of the girls laughed together. "Well yeah, maybe. I suppose I am pretty good with a tranquilizer needle.” “Errrg! Just maybe?! Oh come on!  What do I have to do to… wait a minute, I thought you said Redheart wasn't in yet.” Bon Bon stated and Rayne peaked out to see her looking through the doorway window. Orderly looked down the hall to see the head nurse heading straight their way. “Oh no! You have to leave!” “Leave? But I just got here.” “Sweetie Drops! I'm supposed to be working!” “I told you to call me B- hey! What are you- ah!”  The yellowish mare yelled as her purple friend suddenly shoved her back underneath Rayne's bedside. With less than a second to spare Orderly turned around pretending to still be looking over Rayne's chart information just as Redheart walked in through the door. "Nurse Files." she announced. "Good morning Nurse Redheart.” Orderly mumbled nervously. "And how is our patient today? Any signs of him waking up yet?” “No ma'am.” No changes so far today. Now the light gray mare stepped over to place a hoof on Rayne's forehead to get a direct feel for his temperature. "That's not a good sign. I had thought it was just exhaustion but this might end up being a coma after all. I will inform the doctor and we will see what can be done from here.” Rayne focused on breathing slowly to keep up his guise but his mind raced as he thought to himself, "What? They think I've been in a coma? How long have I been asleep for?!” A moment later Nurse Redheart stepped away before sighing. “All his vitals seem to check out. As far as I can tell he should recover okay. Aside from his burns of course. Some of those may be permanent. We will just have to see how long it takes for him to wake up.” After that the silence in the room felt uncomfortable. Rayne thought about opening an eye up to see if everypony had left the room but then he heard Redheart again, speaking with a more stern tone now. “Orderly, I need to talk to you about last night." This was followed by the sound of the door being closed and Rayne thought he could almost hear his nurse gulp. “Listen, I like to think that you and I have established a friendly working relationship during your time here. But this is something that I don't know if I should be addressing to you as a friend or as your superior.” "Nurse Redheart, I apolo-” “I'm not looking for an apology from you. I suppose I probably should have started this off by asking if you are okay? I heard that you were blasted by a cart and then thrown into a wall?” “What? Oh no, nothing that extreme. I just had the cart overturned on top of me, that is all. I only have a mild bruise but I am completely fit for duty!” "Are you though?" The head nurse said with a sigh. Orderly faltered at that and Rayne could hear her hooves trot nervously on the hospital room floor. “Had it just been one instance then it might not be such an issue. And yes I understand that last night was not a normal situation. Anypony would be thrown off their game having Chrysalis of all characters barging in here, blowing doors of hinges, and screaming at ponies.” Even while trying to pretend to sleep Rayne could not help but frown at hearing that. “But it is in extreme situations that you need to be even more careful when it comes to your condition.” "I understand. I will try to do better." The young nurse said remorsefully. “Oh Orderly, this is coming out all wrong. The hospital doesn't care about one of our employees having asperger's syndrome.” She said tenderly. “Ah, I see.” Rayne thought. “You came exceptionally recommended by princess Celestia herself and in your time here you have not been a disappointment. If anything it is your age that holds you back much more than any other psychological factor. The fact that you are still eighteen is our greatest concern…  Oh dear, I'm rambling again. The point I am trying to make is that everypony has their shortcomings but it is everypony's responsibility to manage their issues productively. I just want you to know that the hospital does not see you as responsible for the altercation last evening. Doctor Horse spoke very strongly in your defense. So please, don't worry about any sort of corrective action coming down the line. Just, please try to keep this sort of thing from happening again in the future. Okay?” Just then there is a knock on the door and a very tired looking amber stallion poked his head in. "Ah, there you are Nurse Redheart. I need to speak to you if you have the time?” "Doctor Horse?! You're still here? You're shift should have ended hours ago. Don't tell me you stayed here working through the night?” "Well Nurse Sweetheart and Nurse Tenderheart were swamped. There was just nopony else to cover on such short notice.” After that the two of them were out the door with each other discussing the other patients who were also in critical condition. "Is it clear?" Whispered a not too stealthy pony who was still hiding behind Rayne's bed. "Yeah, it's clear Bon Bon." Mumbled an annoyed sounding Orderly. "Sooo…  A cart fell on you? So much for you not getting hurt, huh?” "I said I'm fine…”  Rayne heard his nurse argue but then she sort of trailed off. It was Bon Bon who spoke next, surprising Rayne as he felt her hop up to sit on the end of his bed. “So, the big hero here is in a coma?” But no response came as Orderly stood distracted, zoning out to something other than the mischief her friend was getting into. “Well if he is asleep then how it is he…” Rayne's eyes accidentally popped open as he felt a breeze upon his flank. There he saw Bon Bon holding his hospital gown up so high it was almost over her head. "Oh, you guys gave him one of those. Wow… I'll bet Nurse Redheart had fun putting that in.” She mumbled. Even though Rayne was not the type to blush he did feel embarrassed at not realizing previously that they must have inserted a catheter into him. That was when Orderly’s mind finally caught up to speed and was shocked to find her friend almost face first under a sleeping patient's gown. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! GET OUT OF THERE?!” “What?! I was just curious. Do you have any idea how many rumors are flying around about this guy?” "I don't care! That is no reason to behave inappropriately and if you mess around down there and hurt him then it is going to be my flank on the line, not Nurse Redheart’s.” However the purple mare's desperate plea only served for the opposite effect as Bon Bon's eyes opened wide. “Really?! You are the one who put that in? No way! Was it heavy? Did it feel warm? I'll bet from the look of it that it just slid right in.” Bon Bon sounded as if she had an ulterior motive for her excitement. But Rayne had not been prepared to suddenly feel a hoof reach out and take an exploratory hold of his stallionhood. “BON BON!” Orderly blared sounding actually angry now. She rushed over and pulled the other mare away before setting Rayne's gown back down. "I, I just can't believe you! I think you should leave and you'll be lucky if I don't decide to tell Lyra about what you just did!” Rayne watched through his eyelashes now as Bon Bon just crossed her hooves bitterly. "Oh come on. You're acting like I was trying to mount him or something. I am surprised you don't get it.” "Get what?” With a heavy sigh she explained, "Um, hello?! You and I used to both be secret agents! We used to be able to get all the flank we wanted and only when we wanted it. But now, living in this small town life… Look Orderly, I love Lyra. I am happy and I would never cheat on her. But do you have any idea how long it's been since I fell anything between my bits that was bigger than a tongue? I just wanted to remember what a stallion felt like.” “Okay, okay. I get it. I won't blow the whistle on you. Just do me one favor.” "Anything!" Bon Bon said excitedly. “Don't ever tell me anything like that about your personal life with Lyra again please.” “Haha, whoops. Sure thing, you've got it.” The two of them as shared a make up hug and then Orderly began to push Bon Bon toward the window. “Okay now will you get out of here?! The hospital is still packed and I have work to do!” "All right, alright. I'm going. Just-” “Yeah, yeah. I promise to visit. Maybe I'll stop by next week sometime.” After that Rayne secretly watched as Bon Bon finally slipped out the window and he hoped that this would finally give him some time alone. He had been suppressing his gag reflex from the last ten minutes and now he had another tube that he desperately wanted to remove from himself. "So are you mad at me too?” Rayne froze as he suddenly heard his nurse speak out again. He was quite sure that there had not been anyone else in the room other than the two of them. "You would probably be disappointed in me if you were awake.” Quietly Rayne let out a sigh of relief. "I'm really sorry for making your girlfriend so angry. But she can be really scary and it's not so easy for everypony to stop seeing her as a villain." Rayne let out a gentle puffing trying to show as if he were relaxed despite what she was saying to him. “I always try my best and I know how to be careful when I'm doing technical stuff. That should be the important part, right? But it never seems good enough for any pony. Talking is always the hard part for me. Just because I can have trouble explaining myself it makes ponies feel that I can't do anything on my own. I can do lots of things… No, it's not really what I can or can't do that is the problem. It's me that is never good enough for any pony. I am the problem.” As Rayne sat there listening to this mare pour her heart out, he felt sad for her. His Chrysalis, as he could easily believe, had seemed to have given this nurse a difficult time last night. But her lament seemed deeper than that. Nurse Redheart had also not meant to be cruel but there had been plenty of opportunities for this nurse pony to stand up for herself and she hadn't. Now, she sat there lamenting to a pony that she thought couldn't even hear her only to punish herself with the words inflicted on to her by others. Just then both Rayne and Orderly were distracted as there had been a sudden knock on the door. “Hello?” A sweet voice melodically called out. Orderly looked up surprised and Rayne's heart swelled as they both saw a dark face with a shimmery mane peak into the room. “Oh hello again Miss Files. May we have your permission to please enter the room?" Luna asked delicately, refusing to open their door fully until the young mare had nodded. “Thank you. Again you have my apologies for last night. Also, I don't want you to be alarmed but I have someone here who very much wishes to apologize to you.” Orderly looked toward the open doorway apprehensively but she reminded herself that she was a grown mare and not a filly still afraid of shadows in the closet. When she saw Chrysalis step through, it was not the frightening and angry creature she had seen the night before. The once proud queen entered with her head bowed and her ears were down. Orderly noticed that both Luna and Chrysalis were each carrying a bouquet of those same yellow flowers from the night before. “Your name is Orderly Files, is that right?" Chrysalis asked, stepping up to the nurse as non threateningly as she could. “Yes, that's right.” She stated, turning in her chair to face her. "I wanted to apologize… I didn't know what your condition meant. I am still learning what the differences are between pony lives and changeling lives. Back when I was Queen of my hive, if any one of my drones had a personal flaw it usually went unnoticed or made up for by the many working together as one. But with ponies, every little trait both good or bad stands out so much that it can be difficult for me to understand.” Orderly just sat there in her chair in disbelief. Not only was the apology being given sincere, Chrysalis was sounding downright civil and she could hardly believe this was the same Chrysalis who had screamed at her the night before. After a brief pause the changeling finished with, "I was told… That having asp- aspergers, can sometimes make a pony feel lonely. I always had my hive with me so I never knew what it meant to be lonely. Then I was exiled and I learned what it felt like to be alone.” That was when Chrysalis was greeted by a smile from the young nurse. "I accept your apology Chrysalis. And I thank you for it.” Chrysalis actually smiled back, but after a moment she grimaced again before saying, "Oh and… I was told that I should give you this. It's a bag full of bits to pay for the door that I broke. Also… Because I humiliated Luna last night I'm supposed to tell you that I am a pre… pr… hr… rs…” “I'm sorry, what?” Chrysalis rolled her eyes but then very clearly enunciated, "I am a pretty, pretty, princess. Please tie my hair up with flowers.” Orderly froze as hearing that line come from Chrysalis had been single most ridiculous thing she had ever seen. Quickly after though, the changeling seemed much more like her usual self as she angrily snapped, “There, I said it! Are you satisfied?... Luna?” Chrysalis asked after not getting a response. The two looked up to see tears streaming down the princess's face as they both remembered that this was the first time Luna was getting to see Rayne since he was brought in. Luna once again dropped her flowers to the floor as she looked over the stallion covered end to end in bandages. Chrysalis tried to place a hoof on her shoulder but this only seemed to break the shock that Luna was in causing her to pull away and fall to her knees by Rayne's side. “What… what happened?! Why are there SO MANY bandages? Was he truly hurt that badly?  Why is his eye covered? Has his sight been damaged?” Orderly was quick to quell the princess's worries and she explained, "Oh no. We checked his eyes for signs of damage and you can be assured that both of his eyes are fine. His face though is another story. He might end up with some scarring across the side of his head and maybe also down his shoulder." Instinctively Luna brushed a hoof across his mane affectionately. “Um,” Chrysalis mumbled as she turned toward Orderly, "could you give us some time with him please?” “Oh, yes of course. But not for too long. We will need to check on his bandages soon.” The other two nodded as they watched the nurse close the door behind her. Luna dropped her face into the stallion's mane as she sobbed at the injured sight of the pony she loves. “H-how? Why?! You did not deserve this. You did not have to face that prideful mare for us! You did not deserve this pain. Oh what I would give to have her gone but have it me injured in your place. Tell me what I can do, tell me how I may bring you back to me my love.” Sniffling gently Luna leaned down to plant a gentle kiss on his cheek. After a moment though Luna turned back wondering why there was a noticeable silence from the changeling behind her. "Chrysalis? Are you not also concerned for Rayne's well being? Why doth thou not grieve for his condition with me?" Sitting in the nurse's swivel chair with her hooves resting up on the desk, Chrysalis just looked from over her shoulder and said, “Oh, I am always concerned for him. But right now I see no reason to be because he is fine.” “Fine?! FINE?! What about THIS looks fine to you?!” Luna stammered in disbelief. Chrysalis just rolled her eyes and began spinning around on the chair in circles. “I noticed it right away as soon as we both entered the room. No sooner had we come in than when the love energy coming off Rayne suddenly exploded throughout the room. It is the same kind of sense that I get from him whenever he comes home to see us both there, or how he will look to us both adoringly in the afterglow of us three making love.” "What are you saying?” "I'm saying… that he is awake.” Now there was a deafening silence that pierced the room. The dark foreboding absence of noise caused an anxiety within Rayne which led him to slowly peek out through his closed eyes. At first he saw Chrysalis sitting across the room. She had a smirk on our lips seeming amused and proud of herself. But when he looked to see the mare beside him he was met with an angry and scornful gaze. Opening his eyes now he turned to face Luna properly. However no sooner had he moved then when a blast of lightning erupted beside him. The dark stallion was knocked from the bed to the floor as well as scorching half of the wall to black. “How, Dare, You, Worry, Us, So, and Then Pretend, To, Be, ASLEEP?!” Immediately Chrysalis jumped up and began pulling the angry princess back. “Oh yeah, and you say that I'm the misbehaved one in this relationship!” Orderly rushed back in when it sounded like there had been an explosion within the room.  But then she simply stood in the doorway with her hooves over her mouth having absolutely no idea what to say. “... Owwww…” Rayne winced as he reached up from the ground. "Well, that's one way to pull that breathing tube out.” He coughed and remained on the floor making no other attempts to move. “He is still injured! What are you doing?!" Orderly yelled after finding her voice and rushing over to help her patient. “Oh he's fine, believe me. And at the moment he deserves far worse." Luna spat. However Orderly was having a difficult time empathizing with Rayne's visitors. “What is wrong with the both of you?! It's a miracle that he's alive… and awake!” Quickly she knelt down to shine a light in Rayne's eyes before questioning him. “Hello, my name is nurse Files. Can you tell me your name and you know where you are?" He winced in pain but then chuckled as he said, "Yeah, my name is burnt toast. And that is my frying pan, and that's the fire." He jested while pointing to Luna and then to Chrysalis. “Yeah, he's back to normal.” Chrysalis mused, slightly chuckling at her lover's humor. But Orderly looked the stallion over carefully, not finding anything to be funny about the situation. “If he is fine then why is he still wincing?” At this Luna stepped over and in a single motion ripped the bandages off from Rayne's face. He had a dramatic patch of fur missing due to the burns and the surgery. But Orderly marveled at how his skin looked clear without a sign of damage to be in upon it. “As I said," Luna restated. “He is fine. Rayne possesses a unique magic to heal his wounds. While his unconsciousness last night may have been serious, he has no doubt fully recovered himself by now." Orderly seemed fascinated, unbandaging Rayne further to see that his shoulder was also hairless but healed. However that was when Chrysalis's eyes spread wide as she quickly yelled out, "Luna stop!" Rayne looked up uneasily to the three ladies as pain pinched his breath keeping him from speaking. That was when they noticed as a pool of blood began to spread out across the floor from beneath him. “Help me get him back onto the bed! Now!” Orderly screamed. Unfortunately Luna just stood there dumbfounded. Shoving her to the side, Chrysalis stepped forward as Rayne suddenly glowed green and was levitated back to where he originally lay. Moving quickly, Orderly turned him over and hastily snipped away at a set of dripping red bandages on his side. “Oh no, you tore open his sutures. It took us over an hour to get this wound closed last night!” Orderly made a dash for the door as fast as she could. Then after throwing it ope. She yelled, “Help! I need help in here!" Within seconds hoof beats could be heard rushing down the hall. "You! Here! Now! Apply pressure, I need you to hold here!" Orderly shouted to Chrysalis who immediately did as instructed. Meanwhile Luna couldn't believe what she was looking at. There before her Rayne was grimacing with a sizable divit torn out from below his ribs. She watched as he bled through Chrysalis's hooves and down the medical bed. “Wh-what?! Rayne, what is going on?! Why aren't you healing it?” Looking up at her, his eyes gave an apologetic stare as he winced through his pain. “I tried. I can't. Astra Nova… Her whip… Apparently I can't heal wounds from it and she got me pretty good.” Rayne looked from Luna to Chrysalis and then back again. “I love you both, good bye.” Just as soon as Rayne closed his eyes, Chrysalis pushed down especially hard on to his wound. “OWWW!” “WILL YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP AND STOP SCREWING AROUND?!” She viciously yelled down at him, only just barely holding herself together better than Luna had been. "Okay, okay I'm sorry." He pleaded apologetically. After he had though, Chrysalis smiled down to him and said, “I love you too baby." She winked at him and blew him a kiss with her lips which he and he blew one back. Just then several nurses rushed in along with Doctor Horse. “What in the name of Celestia happened in here?!" He shouted angrily seeing the destruction to the room. Quickly Chrysalis turn to back and said, "Hey, don't look at me. I am actually helping this time. All that is this one's doing." She told him while gesturing her head toward Luna. The amber stallion had to stop and massage his forehead, looking like he was about to blow a nerve. "Will you to get out of here?! Nurse, take over there!" He ordered as Nurse Redheart quickly took Chrysalis's place. The changeling then moved to stand closer to Luna, but as soon as the nurses crowded around Rayne the princess cried out, “No! No, no, no wait! This can't be real! Please! I'm sorry! Rayne, I thought…” “It's okay darling, go with Chrysi. I'll be okay.”  Rayne choked out, trying his best to comfort the panic in her eyes. But then Doctor Horse shouted again, Will some pony please get them out of here?! Nurse Files, after we get this wound closed you are to move Mr. Rayne to the secure ward. No are to be no more visitors for this patient until he recovers.” "Yes doctor.” - - - Several hours later Rayne awoke to a room much quieter than the one he had been in. The sun was shining brightly outside but the blinds were down to soften the light. The room was smaller with a heavy door that had a lock upon it. There were no flowers, just his hospital bed and a single chair on the other side of room table beside it. That was where he noticed that his nurse was still remaining nearby, bent over in the seat seeming to be filling out some paperwork. “Ungh, so what happened?” He sputtered out, trying to rub his eyes. It surprised him to see the Nurse Orderly seem startled as he spoke, quickly swiping a large pile of issues off the desk and into a wastebasket before wiping her eyes. “Oh, hello. I'm glad to see that you are awake again. You gave us quite a scare you know." Rayne felt bad as he could obviously tell she had been crying. “To be honest I just got lucky really. I didn't know if I was going to pull through myself.” Seeming as if she had suddenly cheered right up, Orderly calmly told him, "I know there are a pair of girls downstairs who will be happy to know that you are doing better.” “Heh, heh. I'll bet. I'm sorry if those to have caused you any trouble on my behalf.“ "Well, I've got to admit, you have some dangerous tastes in partners." She chuckled and Rayne gave a smile knowing that it was true. “Yeah, they can be rough at times. But I love them." Orderly smiled at that but then she turned her face away before softly saying, “It must be nice. I can tell how devoted they are to you. And you fought that horrible star pony she protect them from her.” She stated, peering out between the window blinds at the fire stricken land outside. "Well, that's what love is. It's when you would do anything for the ones you love. And you'd make the impossible possible just to protect them. Haven't you ever had any pony want to fight for you like that?" But Orderly shook her head. "Uh, uh. I mean, I get flirted with from time to time sure. But every stallion gets the naughty nurse fantasy when someone is intimately taken care of them. It's not really me that they are finding themselves attracted to. As for having some pony to fight for, it's just always been me looking out for strangers… or my fellow workmates.” “Just like when you worked as a field medic with Sweetie Drops and the rest of her group?” Rayne had worked to that in so slyly that Orderly found herself nodding before she even realized what she was admitting to. "Wait! No! How did you find out about that? It's supposed to be a secret!” Rayne was quick to raise his hooves while offering up a comforting smile. “Hey, hey, it's okay. I'm not going to tell anypony, I promise. I've actually known about Bon Bon’s secret identity for years but I've never said anything. I just didn't know any other ponies who had been on her team until she blabbed about the whole thing this morning.” “Heh, yeah. That was pretty sloppy of her now that you mention it.” Rayne reached down to hold the bandages on his side as he struggled to sit himself up. Still finding this mare to be pretty cute he thought about what might be the best way to flirt with her seeing as they were already in a quiet room alone together. Although after adjusting his position and looking backup, he suddenly froze seeing the deadly serious expression that was now on her face. "So, what's your angle?" She asked him pointedly, making it abundantly clear that he was being accused of something. “W-What?” He stammered, not knowing exactly what he had done to upset her. “Come on, don't play dumb with me. You seem far too intelligent for that. I can tell by how you're eyes are dilated that you have something you want to ask for me. So what is it then? Blackmail? You called me out on my connection to Bon Bon and you also mentioned earlier about having to do anything to protect those who care about..." Rayne sat there feeling stunned in a way that few had ever made him feel. “Dang this girl's mind is sharp! I didn't even think of that! If she had been on active duty and on my trail when I first came to Equestria then I seriously doubt I would have gotten away with all that I did!” Being used to usually having the upper hand, Rayne hadn't realized how long he’d been sitting there without giving her an answer for. “Well?  What is it that you are after? Bits? Treasure? You can do whatever you'd like to me but I won't let you get away with threatening to do anything against Bon Bon!” She stated fiercely. “Or… are you expecting something else from me in exchange for your silence?” She asked in a way that made her look ashamed of herself as she took off her nurse's cap and slowly began stepping toward the bed. “What?! No, no! Nothing like that!” Rayne shouted as he quickly pulled his bed covers aside for up to stand next to her. Gently he snatched her nurse's cap from her and placed it back on her head before even fixing her hair where it had fallen out of place. “All right, you caught me. There is something I am interested  in but put away the whole secret agent and the espionage thing! My desires are not so malicious.“ Despite her young age, Orderly wouldn't have been able to have the acquire that she did without being able to tell when some pony was lying to her or not. "Okay, I believe you. I'm sorry for assuming the worst. But hey, you need to get back into bed. I don't need your wound to tear open a second time.’ “I'm fine, don't worry.” His voice surprised her from how certain of himself he sounded. Reaching down now to grab ahold of his bandages he told her, ”Do you want to know what it is that I have been wanting since this morning? Do you want to know what it is I'm after? It was just to have a chance to get closer to you. I just wanted to be able to talk with you before leaving the hospital. Remaining injured simply felt like the best way to do that.” Pulling the bandages away from his ribs Orderly watched in amazement as his deep gash began to reform itself, filling in with healthy tissue right before her eyes. “But, but how?“ She marveled at him. "I can't fully control it.” He admitted. “This magic to heal myself wasn't originally mine. And it is… Incompatible, with my other abilities. It makes me sick and I pass out every time I use it. So please… Will you stay with me? Will you let me talk to you? Will you be here when I wake back up?” Orderly was stricken speechless. She didn't know how to feel. This stallion's demeanor was so intense. His words felt so sincere that she could not help but to nod at his request. “But what could be so important that you would do all of this just to speak to me?” “It is because it's you that makes it so important. He said to her confidently. Rayne looked down to the young mare who was now staring up at him feeling racked with curiosity. “So tell me. What is an amazing pony like you doing working as a small time nurse in a hospital like this?" It was almost cute how she stood there with a deer in headlights kind of look. “Huh? What do you mean? There is nothing particularly amazing about me.” He smirked again and instead of either agreeing or disagreeing with her, he left Orderly to wonder instead. "Are you sure that there is nothing amazing about you?” He was amused seeing her sit back in her chair deeply wondering what he could possibly be referring to. “If you're going to try to say to me what Bon Bon was saying earlier-” “No.” Rayne interrupted her. "I am not going to tell you what Bon Bon sees in you. I'm going to tell you what I see in you." Orderly instantly began to blush as she became very aware that this stallion was flirting with her. But it was very different from the usual ways she was used to dealing with. “Now I can only speak for what I've seen but it would appear to me that you are working far below your disserving station at this hospital. When supplies need to be gotten you are the first to retrieve them. You know where just everything is and where it's supposed to go. When Doctor Horse was operating on me after Luna and Chrysalis left, the other nurses were very capable in doing exactly what they were told to do right when the doctor told them to do it. But you were the one who seemed it to be helping the doctor while needing no instruction, being where you needed to be without having to be told to be there.” To say that Orderly was seeming bashful would have been an understatement. “Oh no, please. It's all just basic training really.  You are making far too big a deal about-” “And you have the strength to do what needs to be done even the face of adversity. That was truly inspiring.” Rayne told her pointedly. “In-inspiring? Me?” She gasped, listening to him as if he were telling her about some epic storybook figure instead of just herself. “You not only stood up to Chrysalis, which would be challenging for any pony. You told off a princess of Equestria because it was for the good of a patient.” “Oh wow, you're right. I wasn't even thinking about that when I had been in the moment. I suppose that was pretty big of me to do.” Rayne was pleased to hear her finally sounding proud of herself for something. “To me, that's a job that a doctor should be doing. Not just a simple nurse.” He encouraged. Rayne had been trying to be uplifting but that was when he saw her spirits fall. “No. Thank you for your kind words but I could never be a doctor, not a real one.” However Rayne looked to her as if he would not be so easily dissuaded. “But why not?” Orderly looked up to him as if she were a filly who had just been asked to explain herself after getting into trouble. “You see, doctors have to be able to communicate with their patients a lot more than nurses to. It's not just about knowing your craft and been able to put it into practice. You have to be able to explain things and it's always the talking parts where I get distracted.  It is something about myself, something that I was born with that I will never be able to change. I-” But then she stopped as Rayne raised a hoof to interject. “Then if not a general doctor, how about a surgeon? Or another kind of specialist?” Rayne chuckled to himself as the wide eyed mare almost lost her balance. Orderly looked as if he had just shattered her mind with that suggestion and it didn't help to alleviate her shock when he added, “Think about it. Aren't most specialists, in any field, already a little bit eccentric in their own way? But nopony cares about that when they are the best at what they do. You could focus on all of the technical aspects that you're good at but from a position that is respectable for how knowledgeable you are.” Now Orderly finally whispered out, “That… might be nice. I- I think, that maybe I could do that…”  She mumbled, possibly more to convince herself then to share with him. But that was when she was pulled out of her distraction by seen Rayne suddenly droop. “Hey! What's wrong?!” She asked with concern. But he just barely lifted a single eyelid to look back at her. Laying collapsed sideways on the bed ge whispered, “Remember, you promised...” Orderly quickly checked his vitals but there was no denying that Rayne had fallen into a heavy sleep. His breathing slowed and his heart rate dropped. His condition seemed very similar to when he was first brought in and was assumed to have been in a coma. “Ah, so that is why we couldn't wake him before.” After helping him back into a more comfortable position she pulled the blankets up and brushed his mane away from his face. “You sleep well. I have other duties to attend to while you rest but don't worry. I'll be back.” She whispered to him before quietly slipping out the door. - Very Late That Same Evening - The sky was dark when Rayne finally awoke with a gentle groan. ‘Uhng… I really hate that spell.” He whispered to himself quietly. Attempting his to shake his disorientation, he reached down to scratch at the hairless patch on his side. “Meh, it will grow back.” He mumbled rubbing at the area, finding it odd to have a part of himself feel so smooth. Looking around now he saw that the windows were open but the sky outside was as dark as it could be. Only the moon and a few stars shined their light into the room. Following the pale glow with his eye he noticed the silhouette of some pony sitting in a chair nearby. “Hello?” Rayne called out softly but he did not get a response back. Slipping out from bed he stepped over to find an individual who had apparently fallen asleep in the chair. They lay mostly covered by a blanket that was wrapped around the entire seat as well as themselves. It only took a gentle tug on the covers to make the plush wrapping fall away. There he saw Orderly Files curled up with her head draped to the side over her hooves. Her lips were parted and her eyes were closed as she breathed softly near one of the open windows. “She kept her promise.” Rayne mused to himself even though now she was the one asleep instead of him. Rayne surveyed the image of peace and innocence that lay before him. No longer did her eyes furrow with anxiety. No longer did her shoulders seem tensed with the pressures of the day. She was just what she was, a young mare sleeping without a care in the world which was just how Rayne felt that it should be. He could not help but to notice how her dull purple coat now shined under the moon. Furthermore the contrast of her vibrant mane now seemed to blend with the rest of her under the pale light. Sitting in her curled up position made her appear all the more petite and Rayne remembered her saying how there had been no one special in her life. He looked endearingly to her, finding it a shame that no pony was holding this mare at night. That those small hooves were not being kissed and that her narrow shoulders were not being caressed. “Ah, so that's it. You do have the naughty nurse fantasy after all.” Her voice came out so suddenly that Rayne didn't even see her lips move. Rayne trotted his front hooves in surprise as he saw her wink one eye open at him. “What?! No! T-That's not it at all!” He felt incredibly embarrassed as she had clearly caught him checking her out while she lay unconscious. “Ah, so you're a somnophile then? Eh, I've had stallions flirt with me with weirder interests before.” She giggled at how easy it was to make this proud stallion seem nervous. “Wait, what?! No, I'm not… Well I mean… Ugh, that's not what I was trying to do.” He pleaded. It didn't alleviate his worry seeing that she was clearly laughing at him now. “Oh yeah? You weren't trying to take advantage of me in my sleep?” “No, I promise that I wasn't.” He said with a straight face. “Then why am I lying here uncovered while you are standing there with your pride hanging down?” She asked smugly causing Rayne to use his hooves to cover the erection hadn't even realized he'd grown. Rayne turned away while still covering himself and carefully trotted back to the bed he had woken from. After a moment Orderly stood up with bashful cheeks saying, “Hey, it's okay. I was just teasing you. It's not like I mind. You're not exactly bad looking.” She stepped over and tried to be comforting as she placed a hoof onto his. “There is nothing to feel embarrassed about. Like I said, it happens all the time.” But before he could respond she did give him a cheeky little smile. “So I'm curious though. What was it? Do I look cute in my little nurses hat? Or do you just have a thing for short girls?” The high tone of her voice told Rayne that she was still teasing him. But he also recognized that she wasn't turning him down either. “Actually… it's just you.” “What?” Orderly quickly asked as her playful smile began to fall away. “When I first woke up, even before Bon Bon came in to visit, I saw you there and was immediately attracted to you. Not because you are a nurse or for any other reason. We hadn't spoken yet so there was nothing to influence my opinion. I just find you to be somepony worth being attracted to.” As Rayne looked into her eyes, the bashful expression she wore was not one of blushing or smiles. Instead she appeared to be recoiling away from him. “H-hey, come on now. Get serious. Look, it's not like I do this type of thing all the time… but if you're wanting to sleep with me then I'm willing. I just wanted to know your reason for wanting it to be with me. I don't mind the reason, any reason at all really… as long as it's not that reason.” She said softly. Rayne smirked as he patted the bed and watched as she sat upon the end of it. “You don't know how much you're worth do you?” He made a point of being blunt, as if declaring a statement rather than asking her. “I know how much I'm worth!” She blurted out defensively. Sliding in close her Rayne asked, “Oh yeah? Then why don't you accept that I'm attracted to you just for the sake of you being worth it?” Now Orderly seemed to falter a bit. "Well, because, I don't think I'm… worth… Look, you know what?! Do you want to sleep with me or not?!” She yelled, feeling annoyed at him having backed her argument into a corner. Rayne just chuckled and stroked a hoof through her mane. “You are very pretty. Did you know that Orderly?” As he expected her to, she frowned at him with a rather unenthused expression. “That's it? That's your big line? That I'm pretty?” But Rayne's smile didn't falter as he wrapped his arms around her. “My line? No. There is no more need for lines. You already said that you are willing so there'd be no reason for me to say anything else to convince you. I just wanted to tell you what I think about you because it seems like nopony else has really told you that before. At least not in a sense to make you believe it.” “Well don't, it's weird.” She said while wrapping her own hooves around his neck and parting her knees for him just slightly. “No.” He said in simple declaration. He had spoken not a louder than a whisper but all the while sounding so adamant it had been as if he had shouted at her. The stunned little mare no longer felt the strength to resist now that he was so close to her. “I'm going to kiss you now. And not just because I want to. But because those thin lips of yours looks so good that they are making me feel like I'm dying to taste them.”  She didn't say a word as Rayne leaned forward and he saw her close her eyes. As soon as they touched it felt like electricity had locked their mouths together. He cradled her in his arms like an experienced gentlemen while she clung upon him like she was in enraptured by how he made her feel. Their lips sucked hungrily upon one another's causing the sound of their kissing to fill the room. The atmosphere between them had completely changed now. No longer was Orderly the oppressed and doubtful nurse that Rayne had seen that day. She bit his lip and held on to his waist with a hoof, clearly knowing her way around a stallion. For Rayne's part he loved how she touched him. Clinging tightly and clearly feeling hungry for more of his touch. Even though it was his style to serenade his lover with words while lovemaking he opted to let their bodies convey their feelings as he leaned upon the small mare in his grasp. Orderly gasped hauntingly as she felt her thigh being pulled apart. The heat from his body coated her like an enveloping blanket of desire. He gripped on to her forehooves kissing along them as she felt the weight of his pelvis pressing her into the mattress. She absentmindedly kicked with a back half as the joint of her thighs ached to feel his swollen pride filling the vacant space between her hips. “Stop it.” She groaned feeling well passed the desire to be teased. “Don't treat me like a filly. This won't be my first time. I probably can't handle whatever you and Chrysalis do to each other in the bedroom but don't treat me like I'm fragile just because I'm smaller than you.” “If that's what you want.” Rayne said and lined up his tip with the diminutive opening that was moistened between her legs. “Ah-hhaaah…” She yelped out over his shoulders as she felt herself being pulled open and stretched apart while he filled our depths. “YE-YES! PLEASE!”  She groaned, struggling to hold on to his shoulders as the sizes difference between them made her attempts almost comical. Rayne let out a long guttural sigh at feeling how her passage constructed around him. Taking Orderly at her word he placed one hoof on her hip with the other on her shoulder, taking advantage of the leverage as he rammed into your a second time. The young mare practically yipped as Rayne felt himself strike against the back of her depths at nearly every stroke. “There! There! Yes, please don't stop!” She wailed out to him as she settled for holding on to his arms like handlebars for some perverse roller coaster ride that she had no control over. Rayne was not intentionally being rough but he didn't hesitate to put his strength into each thrust. He just grinned feeling proud as she bit into a pillow while he had to use his magic to prevent the entire bed from rocking under their movements. Rayne was pleasantly surprised as Orderly just wrapped her thighs around him, not wanting the pleasure to end. - - - Very early the next morning Orderly was still lying in bed sleeping soundly while holding tightly to the dark hooves wrapped around her. Despite Rayne's efforts, the bed frame was disranged away from the wall by a quite a bit and the sheets were half draped off while half twisted around their hips. The bedding beneath them wear wrinkled and showed the signs their  of furious lovemaking that had gone on and on throughout the night. Furthermore, between the hips of their bodies that were still tangled together their fur held the stains of their copious passions dried upon them. The two slept soundly together in post colonial bless until the light of the rising sun finally caused Orderly Files to open her eyes. “Oh Celestia… Mmm, I feel so wonderfully sore, hehe.” After chuckling quietly to herself she stretched in bed and she sat up. Then after rubbing her eyes she looked forward but realized she now staring right into the eyes of a white mare looking back at her angrily. “Found you!” The other mare shouted sounding furious at her. “Nurse Redheart?!” Orderly screamed in panic which caused Rayne to stir from sleep as well. The two looked to see an enraged head mare scowling at the sight of them. “Well would you look at this? Isn't this just perfect?! Here I am scouring around this entire hospital looking for you and where do I find you?!” Orderly looked positively mortified from embarrassment and the fact that the white mare was screaming at her certainly didn't help. “And what do we have here?” She asked before pulling the blankets away the two lovers. Instinctively Orderly tried to close her legs but she screamed in absolutely horror as Redheart grabbed her by the ankles and forced her thighs apart. “No! Please!” She whimpered, bringing tears to her eyes as she was forcefully splayed open for all of them to see. “Look at all this mess! You certainly got it all over the place. And look… for all that, there isn't even a single drop on your filthy little mouth. My, seems like somepony was only thinking about herself last night.” Orderly was petrified, never having thought that something like this could ever happen to her. As soon as Rayne saw how the head nurse was forcefully humiliating Orderly he quickly leaned forward wanting to come to her defense. But after looking Redheart over for a moment he instead leaned back just frowned as she continued. Orderly had been almost crying by this point but as those words, so cruel and malicious, left Nurse Redheart’s lips Orderly looked up like she couldn't believe what she was hearing. “NOW GET YOUR SLUTTY LITTLE FLANK OUT OF THAT BED!” She screamed without warning. Feeling terrified now, Orderly jumped up almost falling to the ground and she scrambled off of the hospital mattress. Then standing there she covered herself with her hooves suddenly feeling even more exposed and wishing she had thought to pull the bed sheets along with her. Now Rayne finally decided to speak up but his words left the small nurse feeling even more confused. “You can be a real bitch sometimes, you know that?” Following this Orderly felt like she was losing her mind when she saw her boss seductively crawl into the bed saying, “Yes, I am. But I'm your bitch and I know you love that.” Curling over into Rayne's lap she made a very obvious display of sliding her tongue into his mouth which Rayne didn't hesitate to accept. “Hello my love. Feeling better are we?” “Wait, what is…”  Orderly stammered. But then she blushed seeing Redheart take hold of his groin while lewdly gyrating her pale hips. Speaking like some back alley whore in heat Redheart stroked upon Rayne's chest before saying, “Yes my love. I'm here for you now. If you needed affection you know that I would have been more than happy to satisfy you. And look, she left you all dirty. Would you like me to use my mouth to clean that little whore's juices off of you?” As the gyrating mare did all she could to seem as sordid as possible, Rayne looked over noticing that Orderly was about to have a heart attack. Quickly gripping the white mare by the mane he angrily growled out, "If you don't stop acting like a sour little mite this instant then I'm going to take you home and make you sorry right up your flank! Now stop giving that poor girl a panic attack and apologize this instant!”  Orderly's eyes darted from Rayne to her boss in shock as she had no idea what they were talking about. That was when Redheart pulled back now while seeming to have a sour look on her face. "Well you're no fun this morning. But fine, I'll play nice because it's for you.” Orderly looked on with curiosity, noticing that the voice from her boss had just changed. She watched as the fur on the white mare turned to black. Holes appeared in the darkening hooves and Redheart's short hair turned long and green. Now Orderly had a face of realization as she discovered it had not really been her boss acting in such a vulgar manner. After sharing a much more polite kiss with Rayne, the changeling turned to face Orderly and said, "Yeah, okay. So I admit that I went a little overboard there. Truth be told, I don't actually get jealous when Rayne sleeps with other mares. The more love that goes around, the more delicious love there is for me to consume. But since Rayne is also my lover, I am far more concerned with whether or not they give him a good time. I'm sure you can forgive me getting just a little territorial over my stallion?” Now Orderly realized that she was being poked fun at, at her own expense. Before she could react it was Rayne who spoke up next asking, "Well Orderly? What do you think? Do you believe that you deserved to be tricked like that?" He stated very meticulously. “Deserved?" Chrysalis asked. “Well that's a strong choice of words. I was just -” "No, I don't.” Orderly had spoken softly but it was deafening in how forcefully as she had interrupted Chrysalis. Speaking louder now she continued, "No, I do not feel that I deserved that. That was… That was mean. And after everything that I and the other members of the hospital have done to help take care of Rayne!” Orderly stomped her hoof at that last statement and Rayne was impressed when she actually made Chrysalis's ears fall. “And I will have you know that I am a fantastic nurse! I am knowledgeable! I am thorough! Sure I might have a difficult time explaining myself sometimes but dammit I know what I'm doing!" Rayne now smiled proudly and when Chrysalis looked like she was about to respond he distracted her by wrapping his arms around her tightly. Given that no pony with stopping her, Orderly clenched her hooves as she continued on. "Here we are trying to help the very pony that you claim to be in love with and all you can do is break stuff and be mean to us!" Chrysalis now sat there feeling completely stunned. She looked to the tiny little nurse being completely slack jawed and she had no words against her being reprimanded. “And you know what? Yes I slept with Rayne! And it was amazing! You are so nasty that maybe you don't deserve some pony as nice as him!” "Wait what?" Rayne asked as this situation suddenly took a turn that he didn't expect. "He showed me that I deserve more than what I was allowing myself to have! Now that I see that, I'm tired of being pushed around. I don't deserve it and you don't deserve a nice stallion like Rayne. You are mean, and ugly, and maybe he wouldn't have to sleep with mares like me if you-” “WHOA THERE!”  Rayne suddenly yelled out as he had to catch Chrysalis by the hoof to stop her from slapping the little nurse right across her face. "Whoa, hey now. Let's not go too far here… Baby, baby stop! Come on!” He said played in and with the changeling that was now struggling in his arms. “RRAH, NO! DID YOU HEAR WHAT THAT LITTLE BITCH SAID TO ME?! LET ME GO, I'M GOING TO RING HER LITTLE NECK!” Chrysalis roared out in a murderous rage. “No, you are not! And yes I heard her. Now will you come down?” Rayne said after securing a steady hold on her. However Orderly watched this as all of a sudden the changeling's strength seemed to to fade. “No, but… she, uh… that's not fair… you're, uhh, cheating… so much… love…”  The ebony mare then fell into a series of soft moans as Rayne concentrated on his feelings for his partner. He ran his tongue seductively along her neck and Chrysalis instantly fell into a melty heap in his arms. “My love… my beauty… my Queen.”  He whispered and then was able to lay her down while she hummed a dreamily to herself like a cat on too much catnip. "But you…” Rayne then sternly said as he turned back to Orderly. The purple nurse placed her hooves over her mouth and looked very embarrassed as Rayne went on. “I understand that to other ponies it might be a difficult concept to grasp. But I will have you know, that matched only by Luna, I find Chrysalis to be the most beautiful thing to have ever walked to this world.” Orderly didn't even hesitate as she quickly told him, "I am so so sorry!  I'm not used to standing up to others like that and I guess I got carried away.” Now Chrysalis was the one who didn't hesitate, sarcastically calling out from where she lay on the bed, "Oh what does it matter? I accept your apology." Orderly looked over to her in surprise but Chrysalis just draped herself across Rayne's lap and said, “What? I may be villainous and immoral but I'm not stupid. I am supposed to be ‘getting along’ with ponies for Rayne's sake. I know what that means to be polite, even if Rayne is the one one I ever feel like giving respect to. And besides, who cares what some a little grub of a pony like you thinks about me. Getting along that doesn't have to mean making friends. And I'm the one going home with Rayne after this, isn't that right my beloved?” Chrysalis  asked the stallion who nodded and kissed her passionately. At this Orderly straightened herself and gave a sigh. She knew Chrysalis had a point and that was something she could live with. But that was when the door behind her opened up and a different mares voice suddenly filled the room. "Good morning! And how is our patient coming al- Oh for Celestia's sake! What is SHE doing here?!” The real Nurse Redheart yelled out in frustration. Chrysalis just chuckled and amusement, hardly even pulling her lips back from Rayne's as she mumbled, “I'm a changeling. And I'm also in love with this stallion. There is literally nothing you can do to stop me from coming to see him.” But before the head nurse could argue, Orderly took her by the hoof and softly asked, "Ma'am? If you don't mind, could I talk to you for a moment please?" The white mare had given a defeated sigh, not wanting to turn away from the changeling that she was hell bent on arguing with. But as she turned to look to Orderly her expression softened and she asked, "Yes Miss Files. What can I do for you?” Orderly took a deep breath and then diplomatically stated, "I regret to inform you that I will be unable to accept my three day suspension from duty." Nurse Redheart looked to Orderly feeling flabbergasted at that bold statement. “Yes as you pointed out to me last night it was irresponsible for me to leave a high risk visitor alone with the patient. I didn't even think when they asked for alone time and that was my mistake." Redheart nodded, appreciating that she had clearly been listened to so well. But what she didn't expect was when Orderly went on to say, “However, even though it was a mistake which did lead to the destruction of hospital property, I was not the nurse in charge during the time of the incident and it was not my responsibility to be supervising a high risk visitor." Now Redheart's eyes suddenly popped open at realizing that the smaller nurse was indeed correct. “Both princess Luna and Chrysalis entered through the front registration, were properly checked in, and were both wearing their visitor passes before I had allowed them to enter the room. But if an acknowledged a visit from Chrysalis was such a big deal then wouldn't it have been your responsibility as head nurse to make sure that just a lowly nurse like myself weren't being left alone to contend with a situation like that?” “I, ah, uh… technically?” Redheart whined and was now disappointed in herself for having reprimanded a subordinate for something that had been her own responsibility. But the white mare was taken by surprise a third time when Orderly went on to say “As a matter of fact, I think that I want to be allowed training to become more than just a nurse one day. Previously I may have believed that it would be impossible for me to advance to a higher position but now I know that I have what it takes and I believe I can do it!” She stated come giving a confident little pump in the air with her hoof. Redheart looked to her a little skeptically now before sweetly saying, “Well of course you have what it takes Orderly. You are a fantastic physician's assistant and there is no one in this hospital who thinks otherwise about you.” “Wait, really?” Orderly balked. “Well of course. I know that I certainly never expected for you to stay in a nurse's position forever. Oh my dear, did you really not know that? No pony believes in you more than I do! I'm sorry about how I scolded you last night, don't worry about those forms I gave you. I'll see them discarded. I was just tough on you because I knew you could rise above it. I never meant to leave you feeling helpless while working here. Even with your difficulties the hospital has many advanced positions, and well paying ones I might add, that I think he would be perfect for. After you put in the proper time and work for it of course.” Then Redheart stepped over to wrap an arm around Orderly supportively. “Thank you. That really means a lot, especially coming from you.” Orderly said as she hugged her back. When they separated apart from each other the head nurse guided Orderly back towards the door. "You go on now. There other patients to attend to instead and I will take care of things here, like I should have done from the beginning.” Orderly was now smiling to herself. She had stood up for herself and it had felt good. She hadn't expected for things to go so smoothly but it made her realize that she had probably been over complicating matters for herself for longer than she'd realized. Feeling grateful she turned it to take one last look at the stallion who had helped her find her inner strength. Unfortunately that was when her smile faded and she spoke back to Nurse Redheart sounding slightly uncomfortable. "Yeah, um, good luck with that.” After watching Orderly leave, Nurse Redheart quirked an eyebrow curiously wondering to herself what that last comment could have meant. Turning back now towards Rayne and Chrysalis she saw a sight that almost made her heart stop. There in the bed was an exact duplicate of herself lay in with her thighs spread lewdly around both sides of Rayne's hips. This Redheart had her tongue sliding around in a sloppy kiss with Rayne as she kept one eye open to stare back toward their real Redheart deviously. “OHHH! HOW DARE YOU?! YOU STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!” The mare shouted furiously. “Never in all my days would I display myself publicly like that in front of others and you- OH N- YOU ARE- NMMM!”  She squealed in angry frustration when Chrysalis dropped a thigh to show that Rayne's pride was buried several inches within her. Redheart didn't know whether to be furious, fascinated, or disgusted by seeing the stallion stretching what looked to be her own vagina apart. “THAT'S IT!” She screamed as she marched back toward the door. “I want you out! Both of you! If you are healthy enough to do that here then you are healthy enough to take your personal practices ELSEWHERE! And you! I don't ever want to see you in or even around this hospital ever again!” Redheart had screamed so angrily that she was now left huffing to catch her breath. "Now stop looking like me and go!" She commanded to them as she pointed towards the door. Rayne whispered down to his mate as he told her softly, “Babe, I love your dark sense of humor but you know that I don't enjoy pissing every pony off like you do.” “Oh but you know I'm just doing it for you.” Chrysalis replied but in Redheart's voice. Reaching down between their legs she pulled his length out from her but then held it up for the real Redheart to see. “Aw come on. I'm not trying to be disagreeable here. I was offering! Look at it, isn't it beautiful? Wouldn't you like to be the one over here feeling this? I was only trying to show you what you could be having, of you'd just come over here?” “WHAT?! You want me to join you to?!” The real white mare replied almost sounding disgusted. "Come on, I'll even be nice and move away if that's what you'd prefer. Come let my stallion make you feel like a real mare. You'll love it, we’ll all of it. I promise." She sneered before shifting back into her true form. “Or, if you'd like something really exciting…”  Then Redheart gasped seeing Chrysalis transform into a second Rayne, complete with a matching swollen appendage. The real Rayne simply rolled his eyes and smirked but otherwise remained silent because this had been her a game, not his. Redheart growled in frustration. "I have never… In all my life… Met any pony as infuriating as you! I… I hate you. I really do.” Then she stomped a hoof and took a breath to steady herself.  After locking the door she sternly told them, "I can spare maybe another 10 minutes. But not a single second more so you better make this time count, you hear me?!” Now the other two suddenly grinned as if they were told that Hearth's Warming was coming early this year. “Um, can you change into Doctor Horse for me instead?” Redheart asked before dropping her nurse's cap to the floor and climbing into bed with them. The End.
