One winter night, an old, ugly mare came to the castle and offered him a single rose he declined. When he did, the old mare's ugliness melted away, to reveal a beautiful enchantress, and she transformed him into a hideous beast and placed a powerful spell on the castle, and all who lived there, if he could learn to love another, and earn her love in return, the spell will be lifted. "I'm ready to return the book, Monsieur Robert, "Celestia said walking into the shop. "Bonjour Ms. Celestia, what book will you be returning today? Robert asked. "The story of Crystal Shine: A romantic novel" Celestia replied handing over the book. "It's a very popular book in Equestria, did you enjoy it?" Robert said taking the book and putting it back in its place. "Yes, I did very much," Celestia said handing him the book. "Good to know, I found this book and thought you would be interested, would you like to borrow it?" He asked giving Celestia the book. "Yes please," She said gladly taking it. "Merci Monsieur Robert," Celestia said leaving the store. She happily walked through the town, when somepony came and snatched her book, she knew who it was. "Bonjour Sombra, may I have my book back please?" Celestia asked Him "Bonjour Celestia would do ya say you and me take a stroll through town, take a look at my trophies," Sombra said taking her by the hoof and walking with her towards his house. "No thank you Sombra, maybe some other time" Celestia replied, taking the book from him and running off. Celestia finally arrived home and walked to the garage door and walked in. "Hello papa," Celestia said walking in and coughing a little. "Hello Celly," Her father replied. "Are you alright?" She asked with concern, walking over to him. "Yes, I just can't get this busted thing to work!" He yelled in frustration. "Sure you will just give it time" She said patting him on the back. "And then you'll win first place at the fair!" She said encouragingly. "If you say so." Her father said as he went back to fixing the machine. "Dad, do you think I'm odd?" Celestia soon asked, while sitting down on a half-broken bench. "Of course not dear! I think you wonderful just the way you are." He replied. "Thank you," She said raising from her seat and went to hug him. "Your welcome Tia, now let's see if it works now." He said pulling a lever on the machine. "It worked!" He yelled proudly. "Well, I'm off to the fair now." Her father said putting a cover on the machine and pulling it out the door. "Goodbye Celly! Stay safe!" He said waving back at her. "Goodbye, papa good luck!" She said waving back. Celestia's father was half-way through the forest when he came across two signs, one leading to the fair and another to the dark side of the forest. "Let's go this way," He said leading his carriage towards the dark side. He went through, it was pretty dark, the wind was blowing and owls were hooting. Soon he heard something almost like howling. He realized they were wolves. He kept going faster and faster, but he couldn't outrun the wolves. They jumped on his carriage and tore off the cloth covering the machine, so he made a run for it while the wolves destroyed his carriage. He ran until he could run no farther, but he had lost the wolves, he continued walking. He walked until he reached a big, rusty gate and began banging on it. "Help! please help me! let me in!" He screamed and banged on the gate. All his banging had made the gate open, and he ran inside. He started to walk and when he looked up, there was a big mansion in front of him. He walked in and it was so beautiful inside. There was a red carpet that leads to a massive stairway, and a grand table that was decorated with flowers and a gold and purple table cloth. He continued to walk saw a table with a candlestick, he went over and picked it up to look around some more. "Hello," Someone said. "Who said that?" He asked "Over here." It said "Where?" He asked again, looking for this mysterious voice. "Over here!" It said poking him. He looked and began to realized it was the candlestick talking! He quickly dropped it in fear and shrieked when it started talking again. "Oh, you poor thing lets get you dried up." The candlestick said, beginning to stand up. He signaled the other talking staff to come and dry him up. He was still a bit scared but later forgot about it. There was also a talking teapot and her child, who was a teacup. Together they severed him some delicious tea with a few biscuits to go along with it. After drinking his tea and eating his biscuits, he was full. So the candlestick signaled a footstool for him to rest his feet. Little did he know, there was someone watching him.
