> Light`s & Darkness meeting of Twilight > by Any1_Story > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Ch.1 So it Starts? > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ■pg.3□ 'I hate them. I HATE THEM ALL. They just left me. I was right and now because they didn't listen every ones going to suffer. Innocent pony are going to get hurt all because none of my so called friends, family, or even my own mentor wouldn't believe me. They just left. They always just leave.' She thought as she sniffled and fought back tears. All she wanted to do was crawl into, or under, her bed, currle up into a ball, cry, and close the door forever. She was alone agian. She new her parent would side with Shining Armor. After all he was the golden boy, with tons of friends, was the favorite of the whole family and... 'He's there one and only son.' Tears escaped her eyes despite her best efforts. Laughter erupted form the only other creature capable of thought that was in her present. "Pathetic" it stated in it distorted voice that seemed to buzz like an insect or like the two mindless drones that now held her captive seemed to do. They were the reason she was in this mess. "It's a shame really. You ponies are so pathetic and weak that this is disappointing. It is far to easy." The beast that claimed to be a queen stated as she made her way through the cavern system. She looked back at the prisoner. Disappointment laced her features as not another ounce of emotion was shed. She had found the taste of this ponys suffering rather alluring which was weird as most negative emotions tasted really bad. Deciding to grab a quick lunch she had played with this little ponies emotions. She had lead her to a false sense of security then she had her changling capture her. While she laughed at the little foolish pony for attempting to revile her only moment ago. She had loved the emotions sleeping of the pony. Now however she was as emotional as a brick. 'Pity she practically worthless now.' The queen thought as they continued walking until they reached there destination. The pure magic that had been poured into the room would have been impressive if it hasn't been so sloppy. Twilight looked around the room where magic seeped into the wall as well as the very air she was now breathing. Whatever spell they where trying to cast was powerfull. She would have felt threatened if they had actually done it right. Instead of brute forcing there way through it. The actually spell seemed no better then a foal first attempt at levitation. When instead of technique the foal relies on power to get the job done. This was no different. Looking around the room the only thing other than her, the drones, and the queen where the magic runes covered on of the wall of the room. "Get ready my changlings I have brought you the lab rat that we will use for our next test run." The Changing Queen stated. As her subject cheered and got to work. Not knowing what she had meant Twilight couldn't help but looked confused as she tried to figure out what they were going to do. The two guards holding her pulled the restraints she had been tied with. Looking up she once again saw the anti-magic horn ring. She had to admit being trapped in the same hoof cuffs that law enforcement use on prisoners was belittling. Once in the center of the room her escorts began choking. Soon they looked like they where cuffing up a lung. Before she knew it they vomited green slime on her horn and hooves. "EEWww... GROSS!" 'This is so disgusting.' Twilight was now being held prisoner in changeling slime. As the slime quickly hardened they began taking off her restraints. Unfortunately for her they left the ring on. Trapped in the middle of the room she looked at the wall covered ruins that she was now facing. Deciding to ignore the hoof full of changelings in the room, she instead focused on the ruins. Trying to figure out what they where doing. "My queen we are ready to begin." One of the drones buzzed as the rest of its comrades took position to activate the ruins. Queen Chrysalis gave a small nod to the name less drone. The drone was actually named Nectar, but she didn't care to remember. After all what was one creatures name worth to her. What really mattered was the plan. If this experiment went well she could get rid of all those pesky alicorns. She had tried to find a way to kill them but anything that would cause them that much harm would be noticed in a heartbeat. Though in her search a glimmer of useful knowledge had been uncovered. Alicorns where so powerful that they would never fight in a populated area. Even during the battle one thousand years ago there had been no casualties recorded. It had seemed that the two sisters had left the castle to fight in the forest. Only returning after hours of battle; long after everyone was gone. Slickly green light filled the room. As Twilights struggled to get free. After studying the ruins for an hour she had finally realized what they were for. A portal. They where transforming the wall into a portal to who knows where. The only thing she knew was that wherever they were trying to send her was not on this planet. Suddenly she wished she had focused more of her studying on interstellar or possibly interdimensional portals. Magic flooded the room. Even if she was no expert on this particular field of magic, it was obvious they where putting too much power into the spell. Laughter erupted behind her. Turning to her tormentor the lavender mare growled. Steeling her nerves she schooled her features and shutdown her emotions. Not letting the Changelings Queen enjoy the spectacle of her frying emotions. A frown fell onto the Queens face as she looked once more at the emotionless pony. She had been loving the fear that had begun to seep off the pony. Then the emotions stopped. Growling she nodded the go ahead to one of the drones. Instantly he lit his horn and blasting away the prisoners restraints. Before there test rat could escape Chrysalis grabbed her with magic. Placing a small spell on her to see if she would survive the trip. The wall growing brighter as more magic was placed into it. A bright flash signal the spell completion. The once dull crystal took one a reflective surface. "Now let hope how you splatter." Smiling Chrysalis through the mare in her grip at the hopefully new portal, possibly still solid wall. Biting down a scream. Twilight hooves moved to protect her from the impact. The changelings spell was sloppy and half cooked, and she just hoped it worked. Since she would be becoming a pancake if it didn't. Light surrounded her as she was engulfed by the strange magic. It felt like she was being squished and torn apart at the same time. The portal hadn't had time to stabilize making the trip agonizing. Being wrapped by a swile of colors and sensations; darkness soon began to creep an the edge of her vision. Finally just as she couldn't take anymore gold magic surrounded her allowing her to drift into peaceful sleep. ++++ Light was the first thing to register in Twilights brain as she began to wake up. Clenching her eye closed the second feeling to return was pain. Try not to cry she held herself as still as she was able. Every muscle in her body burned. Even thinking hurt. It felt like she had foolishly try to complete against Applejack and Rainbow Dash in one of there iron hoof competition then in one of there drinking games. A horrible eternity later the pain subsided to manageable level. Having regained her other senses, as she lied in misery, she slowly open her eyes. A clear blue sky was the first thing she saw. Moving her head she saw a lush forest that was brimming with life. There where large harthy trees as far as the eye could see. Bird merely sang from the tree tops easily hidden in the foliage. Small animals pranced around in the tall grass making it seem to dance. The distant sound of a river and insect life complete the peaceful symphony of the tranquil forest. In the middle of this twilight was flat her back trying to figure out where she was. Groaning and fighting back the nausea she began to sit. 'That's weird.' Now up she noticed something knew. Looking at her weird feeling hooves her eyes snapped opened. Knew strange and freaky appendage greeted her. The only thing that remain the same was the lavender coloration. Looking past the strange sight she found and even stranger sight. Her body had completely changed. She looked like a shaved monkey. 'Or minotaur?!' A ruffle from behind made her freeze. Something was behind her and in her weakened state she would be easy pickings. Caching movement from the corner of her eye she slowly turned her head to look for the potential danger. "Oh... there just my wings." After processing the knew information a loud scream rang through the forest. Followed shortly by a painfull thump. The knew monkey/minotaur face planted. Her knew wings twitching erratically at her sides.
