Join Queen Chrysalis as she infiltrates the dark fortress of the crystal empire. CW: Vore

Besides the Equestria we know, there are many other dimensions and other world connected to it, some completely alien to the original, and others, while similar, possess some major and minor differences.

One in particular, the mirror universe, had almost the same inhabitants as the Equestria we know, but their personalities were flipped or distorted, turning heroes into villains and vice vera.
One of those is a certain changeling queen, Chrysalis by name and ruler of the changelings who currently was infiltrating the dark fortress of the crystal empire.

Contains: Soft vore, melty digestion, soul absorption

This story happens in the mirror universe from the comics.

Chrysalis was infiltrating the dark fortress of the Crystal Empire. Although a queen in name, she rarely used the title because it was too formal for her liking. Still, she was the leader of the hive and the steward of love, thus she considered it her duty to protect the world from whatever evil was brewing in the North. Luckily there were few places that could keep out a Changeling, especially one that possessed entrances large enough for a mouse to pass through. Finding herself in a little store room Chrysalis changed into her normal form, the transformation clearing out any grime she picked up from her trip through the castle walls, and began to think of a proper disguise for the rest of the infiltration.

The Crystal Empire has long been a rather isolated place. While there were multiple rumors about dark magic or tyrannical rulers, scouting revealed nothing of concern, just a wasteland in the frozen north and the empire defying the harsh conditions surrounding it. This changed, of course, once Empress Cadance took over. Those rumours quickly became actual practice and soon Crystal Pony refugees appeared in the neighbouring nations, or at least the few that made it through the frozen wasteland surrounding the empire. They told tales of the empires falling to darkness and of the Empress’ desire for even more power. It reached the point that one ruler decided to take action and try to do something about all this, before whatever the dark empress was scheming came to its conclusion. While her swarm was obviously worried that she decided to go herself, it was a fact that she was both she best infiltrator and the most powerful of them, allowing her to do things other would fail at.

On her journey through the gloomy chambers of the fortress Chrysalis could barely believe her eyes, yet everything she found so far pointed towards a single conclusion: the crystal empire was preparing for war. She was currently disguised as a high-class servant, important enough to be allowed almost everywhere but still ignored by most of the ponies in the castle. A lithe, burgundy Crystal Pony pretty enough so others would desire to help her, although she had to limit that part a bit in case it would attract too much attention. As she moved through the castle, talking with the castle staff and sneaking into various rooms, it became increasingly clear that the crystal empress planned to take over the world. What made things more suspicious was the fact that the empire's military was in no shape to actually achieve such a conquest, even the swarm should be able to defeat them with ease.

While just ordering her swarm to attack might solve this problem, and entertain her hot-blooded, youngest son, this wasn’t something she would do lightly, it would just end up causing more harm than necessary, in her experience there was never a good outcome to war, just needless suffering. Furthermore, all of this was incredibly suspicious to her, even though a villain like the Empress tended to be rather overconfident, they usually weren’t this blind, which in this case probably meant there was something else, something of like a powerful weapon or some ancient magic the empress was hiding.

Sadly she found no hint of it so far, meaning she would have to spy on the mare in question herself, which was dangerous and nothing to be taken lightly. But out of other choices, she was now walking towards Cadance’s quarters. As she walked down the dark corridor, lined with banners displaying a shattered heart on a black and pink background of all things, she considered the situation. While it was fortunate that the guards and servants stayed far away from the royal chambers, it worried her, - almost everypony in the palace had shared stories of her losing her temper and lashing out against those around her, so ideally Chrysalis needed to remain hidden.

As she approached the door she could hear a female voice angrily screaming, apparently berating someone, and moved closer to listen in.

“My Empress, please reconsider, we have neither enough troops or even enough supplies for the few we have, this will just waste our ponies’ lives and achieve nothing in return,” a quieter, male voice replied to the first one, which was obviously the Empress. If Chrysalis judged the situation correctly, this was probably Cadance screaming at one of her generals, who seemed saner compared to her, if not having much backbone in his voice.

I don’t care,” the Empress thundered, accompanied by a shattering noise, “If I tell them to move out, they will and if I want them to win they better succeed, or die. They don’t matter anyway, once I figure out how to repair the Crystal Heart and bend it to my will, everything will obey me.”
Oh my, if that wasn’t some juicy intel, thought Chrysalis. Good thing she heard that part, once she found this Crystal Heart, she could be out of here, and let her swarm take care of the rest. While it might have been good to not stay too long here, she decided to listen a bit more, maybe she would even get the location of the heart in question.

“If it’s so important to your you plans, maybe you shouldn’t have shattered it in the first place,” the stallion replied, causing Chrysalis to wince, this would not end well for the poor general. As expected, the empress let out a crazed scream and a loud crash, accompanied by a pained groan, indicated the stallion being thrown against some shelves or similar.

This was getting ugly, she should just spare herself whatever followed and go looking for the heart, hopefully, it wasn’t in this room. She turned to leave, but the empress next sentence caused her to freeze, “Shining Armor, I didn’t marry a worthless piece of trash to give me backtalk.” The Empress' voice was getting darker. “Maybe I should remind you again of your place, my little toy, you barely even flinch anymore whenever I look at you.” Chrysalis looked with disgust at the door, love was her domain, and hearing something like this was one of the few things capable of making her genuinely angry.

It might not have been the wisest choice, but she couldn’t let this go on in her presence, so she slammed open the door and marched into the room. Just in time, it appeared, considering Cadence was currently standing over her husband, a white unicorn with a blue mane, and was heating up a dagger with her magic. Chrysalis took note of the many scars on his body, dropped her disguise, and lunged at the Empress.

Her target only managed to get a “Who dares…” out before the Changeling queen bit down on her horn, severing it. Cadance fell to the floor, holding the stump where her horn used to be and screamed like a banshee, “What have you done, you whore!

Now that the biggest threat was taken care of, Chrysalis calmed down a bit and conjured her a pair of glasses, which she set on her nose, and gave the Empress a little inspection. The pink alicorn would have looked lovely but had decided to darken her fur in an attempt to counter that, even her colorful mane darkened in the same way, topping this all of was her cutie mark of a shattered crystal heart. “Language, dear,” Chrysalis responded to the mare lying in front of her, who only seemed to get angrier at this, “but I fear, words alone won’t do much here, so let's do things a bit more directly”

As the Changeling Queen opened her maw and got closer to her, Cadance turned towards Shining Armor, who had retreated to one corner of the room, “Do something, help your Empress and urk-” Her voice was cut off by the Changeling’s long tongue wrapped around her throat and pulled her inside the waiting maw. She could only flail around in panic as she was enveloped by the green, pulsating flesh of the throat, while a quick burst of magic sent her hoofguards flying and snapped her necklace off. The stallion did nothing as he watched the Queen swallow the Empress’ head, working her deeper and quickly going down to the shoulders.

The early rush paid off for Chrysalis, it allowed her to get a good hold on her prey before Cadance had the chance to struggle and possibly escape, something she did eagerly, once she recovered from her shock. It was challenging, while Cadance was the weakest alicorn, she was still capable of great feats of strength which Chrysalis had to fight against to get her down. Luckily it was a fight she was winning, she was managing to gulp her prey down further and further, every time Cadance slipped on the slick throat or stopped struggling to yell some obscenities, her powerful throat muscles seized the moment and claim a bit more pony.

This continued for a while until Chrysalis was sure she had enough leverage to tip her head back and could enlist the help of gravity itself, making Cadance’s struggles useless. The combined pull of both gravity and hard working throat was too much to overcome, her hooves tried uselessly to get a hold on the wet flesh, only to slip deeper.

Soon Chrysalis felt Cadance entering her stomach, causing it to swell under her as she finished swallowing the back hooves and sent the rest of her prey downwards. The bulge expanded greatly, as the entire alicorn filled it, and the violet midsection was stretched to the point that it was becoming transparent, allowing a clear, violet-tinted view of the struggling mare inside.
Cadance was trying futilely to somehow break out, but her kicks and shoves didn’t manage to achieve much. Changeling stomachs were quite capable of containing most prey, especially once the special effect of their acids kicked in and kept them in a state of bliss until they finished melting. The stallion, Shining Armor if she heard right, was still watching all this from the corner, although with a slight blush on his face. A good thing, in her opinion, if he was one of the ponies aroused by this display she probably wouldn’t have to subdue him, something she really wouldn’t want to do too a stallion that already suffered enough. So she merely let him watch as she trotted toward Cadance’s bed, and let her heavy belly fall on it, as she laid down. Cadance was still struggling, even if she started moaning a bit as the rising acids started to have their effect, so it might be prudent to help this along a bit and let her stomach muscles do their work, both to give her prey a pleasant massage and to work the acids truly into her, to speed the process up.

“Do you need any help with that,” came the slightly stammered question from Shining Armour, who was now shyly approaching her.

This was indeed quite a welcome turn of events, “Well if you like to, I could always use a pair of helping hooves,” she said as she slightly turned to her side and gave her full gut a few pads, “Don’t be shy, I won't harm you.”

While still a bit hesitant, Shining joined Chrysalis on the bed and looked through the transparent flesh at his digesting wife. She still attempted to escape, together with several angry yells but there wasn’t much effort put into it, she seemed more focused on the pleasure that the changeling's stomach was giving her, moaning whenever the bellies muscles pushed her around and her mind slowly overtaken by the bliss the digestion was giving her. “Ehm, what is going to happen to her?” the stallion asked nervously as he carefully placed his hooves on the grumbling, gurgling gut.

Chrysalis let out a pleased sigh, as he began to rub her engorged belly, only adding to the pleasant feeling she was already getting from the emotions her prey was emitting. “Don’t worry, she will be fine, in a way,” she replied and happily noted that Cadance already started to melt, more and more of her body was dripping off, and inside her stomach was a slowly rising pool of pink goop, the emotion-filled slurry would greatly add to her form. “After I'm done with our dear Empress, I'm going to keep her soul for a while, maybe a few years of pleasure will be just the thing she needs to get a better outlook on life.” Chrysalis let it be unsaid, that almost all souls ultimately decided to stay forever with her, something she was always happy to provide.

But in the end, a great threat would be removed from the world and wouldn’t even be willing to complain about it, so no real harm was done in her opinion. Cadance meanwhile only melted further under the constant work of the acids and the dutiful massage of both her predator's muscles and Shining’s hooves, not that she was able to care much about this at this point. All she felt at this point was an unbelievable pleasure, with every bit of her that melted away even more bliss flooded her body, at this point, all she wanted was to be melted even more, willingly being digested just to feel more of this pleasure.

“It appears my little guest, is almost finished. Shining, could you be a dear and step back a bit? I need some focus for the next part,” Chrysalis said after the digestion processed some more and there wasn’t much left of Cadance, except the rough contours of a pony swimming in a sea of pink goop, visibly melting further into it. As Shining stepped away, Chrysalis stood up and jumped from the bed, her belly greatly sloshing at this movement, as the liquid in her gut was tossed around. This seemed to be too much for Cadance’s softening body and it broke completely, leaving nothing but pink, bubbling liquid inside the queen's belly, accompanied by a blue glow coming from the middle of it. Chrysalis closed her eyes and let her magic go to work, this part needed some careful handling, if she didn’t want to scare the soul currently in her care. Gently the magic enveloped it, flooding it with a bit of love magic, slowly invading it and pulling it towards her own soul. Meticulously she extracted Cadance’s personality, memories, and dreams from it and entangled it into her own soul, she already felt the souls of hundreds of happy couples and thousands of other souls, she had acquired over the centuries, welcoming their newest friend, showering Cadance with happiness and love. While Cadance was a bit restrained in her response Chrysalis was sure the friendliness of the others and the general bliss she kept all souls under her care in, would eventually cause the former Empress to open up. All that was left in the hold of her magic was the empty soul, basically just a bundle of spiritual energy at this point, which she just let go, to be processed with the rest of Cadance’s body. Chrysalis was already looking forward to the slight boost in magic and the electrifying pleasure digesting that would bring her.

This part finished, she moved back to the bed, after this she could use some rest, and she had a pleasant night of digestion to look forward to. To her surprise, Shining joined her and cuddled next to her. He was still a bit shy but seemed to open up once Cadance was no longer around him, well technically she was in a way but she couldn’t harm him anymore. “If you don’t mind me asking, will you eat me too?” Shining asked after a few seconds while averting his face with a blush.

“Perhaps,” Chrysalis answered, slit out her long tongue and licked it along Shinings throat, “or rather definitely, but first let me sleep of our little Empress first,” She looked out of the windows, seeing the dark and downtrodden empire outside, “And I might require your help in turning this place around to a better future, I won’t leave this to just to collapse into anarchy, but let’s discuss things like this tomorrow.” With that, she cuddled closer to Shining Armor and soon both of them fell asleep, pressed against one another.
