The Digital World, a strange yet fascinating life filled with wonder, mystery, and survival.

It's connection to Earth is unknown, but there have been theories that the Digital World is created from Earth's communication network aka the rise of technology.

In ancient times, the Digital World was wracked by a massive war between the human-type and beast-type Digimon. It was then that the angel Digimon, Lucemon, appeared and brought the war to an end, leading to a period of peace.

Everything seems good for a while, until Lucemon eventually grew corrupted and become a tyrannical ruler as he commands all Digimon to obey him. However, ten great Digimon who embodied the ten elements have emerge and fought together against the tyrant ruler. After a mighty battle, the Ten Legendary Warriors were able to defeat Lucemon and imprisoned him below in the Dark Area, deep within the center of the Digital World, but at the cost of their lives.

In the current present time, the Digital World is in danger once again. One of the three powerful Digimon, Cherubimon, became corrupted by Lucemon's scheme. In his corrupted state, he defeated both Seraphimon and Ophanimon, thus sealing their powers away. Unbeknownst to Cherubimon, Ophanimon has managed to sent a distress message in the human world for the chosen Digidestined cadets by finding the sealed warriors and restore the Digital World.

While Cherubimon and his minions are busy of collecting every fractal code around the world, he notices that a small number of codes are being restore by the humans who have somehow awakened the spirits of the legendary warriors with the help of Bokomon and Neemon.

Takuya Kanbara; Spirit of Flame, Agunimon. Koji Minamoto; Spirit of light, Lobomon. Tommy Hibi; Spirit of Ice, Kumamon. Zoe Orimoto; Spirit of Wind, Kazemon. J.P. Shibayama; Spirit of Thunder, Beetlemon.

Displeased by this unexpected event, Cherubimon has sent out his five evil legendary warriors to retrieve the remain warriors from the humans. Grumblemon, spirit of Earth. Ranamon, spirit of Water. Arbormon, spirit of Wood. Mercurymon, spirit of Steel. Corrupted Koichi Kimura; Spirit of darkness, Duskmon.

After their struggling battles & obtaining their own beast spirits, the heroes have finally defeat the corrupted warriors and gained a new ally, Koichi and continue on before making it to the Lair of Cherubimon, waiting for them.

Despite having a disadvantage over Cherubimon, the heroes and Koichi's new dark spirit form Loweemon were victorious with the aided powers of Seraphimon and Ophanimon. Although, their victory is cut short when the Celestial Digimon told the heroes the Digital World is still in danger by a greater threat, hidden below in the Dark Area.

Impatient of waiting any longer, Lucemon has ordered his two Royal Knight Digimon; Dynasmon and Crusadermon to go retrieve the remaining fractal codes hidden around the world at all costs and in making sure no other Digimon stand in their way, they want in return to take over the world.

Despite having the best efforts of advantage number on multiple battle, the Digidestined heroes were no match for the Royal Knights as they continue to retrieve every last drop of fractal code in hidden areas. After getting the last scan of fractal code, both Dynasmon and Crusadermon have given all the codes to Lucemon, thus he emerges once again to the Digital World.

Witnessing that his two Royal Knights are having trouble in getting rid of the humans wielding the legendary warriors, Lucemon begins to take matters into his own hands.

"Your services, are no longer required." Lucemon mutters to his guards.

Lucemon then proceeds to destroy both Dynasmon and Crusader, thus absorbing their fractal codes and obtain his most powerful form; Chaos Mode. After getting his new form, he proceeds to destroy the three moons orbiting the Digital World in order to create a bridge from the Dark Area to the human world.

Both Kaiser Greymon and Magna Garurumon tries to stop Lucemon, but were defeated by his new form. Before they were going to be finished off, Koji's brother Koichi sacrificed himself take the hit and give his spirit of darkness to his brother as his spirit is scanned by Lucemon.

In anger at Lucemon scanning Koichi, Takuya bursts into flame and Koji into light, and with the help of their friends' D-Tectors, they became the ancient Digimon; Susanoomon, a being formed from all twenty spirits.

The battle begins once again as Susanoomon manages to injure Lucemon for the first. Despite not giving up of utter failure, Lucemon tries to use his paradise lost technique, but gets countered by Susanoomon.

Shocked that these mere humans have damaged him, he glared at them.

'I may have underestimate these humans, but I won't be making that mistake again.'

Lucemon then decides to afflicts Susanoomon with Dead or Alive, which comes close to destroying him. Inside Susanoomon, Koji and Takuya think over all that has happened to them, giving them strength. They willingly separate to escape the attack, then recombine to take Lucemon out. They scan his data, but only acquire his good half, which attempts to purify the Dark Area. Lucemon's evil half data, however, absorbs the Dark Area's fractal code and transforms into Lucemon; Shadowlord Form.

Everyone gives chase as Lucemon tries to get into the Human World, finding strength from their personal growth in their Journy. Lucemon ascends to the Human World through the underground train station, and electrical surges occur all around Shibuya, taking with its Lucemon's message: "You Must Choose To Follow Me Or Be Destroyed".

Meanwhile, the heroes finally catch up with him, but Lucemon regenerates too fast for them to damage, and easily repels them.

Lucemon's Shadowlord Form reaches the Human World, hurling the to the floor of the underground station. There, they lose the will to fight, concluding that Lucemon is unbeatable. Takuya, in his despair, attempts to push the fallen elevator away. His desperation summons , who helps him push the elevator over, showing that they are not alone; Bokomon points out how weird it is that the Spirits just came to life and Neemon tries pulling his waistband, thinking they're hallucinating. They give the group advice on how to defeat Lucemon as the Ten Legendary Warriors, reborn through their Spirits, show their solidarity.

Following this motivation, the group combine all of the Spirits and ancient spirit evolve into Susanoomon. Susanoomon then pulls Lucemon's Shadowlord Mode back into the Digital World and fights the powerful Digimon. Using his Celestial Blade, Susanoomon cuts Lucemon Shadow Lord Mode in half, releasing every piece of the fractal code that he took and restoring the entire Digital World. However, Lucemon's True Larva Form emerges from his destroyed puppet and stings Susanoomon. Not giving up yet, Susanoomon releases the DigiDestined and splits into the Ten Legendary Warriors, each of them in their Human Spirit form and each carrying a sword broken out of Susanoomon's cannon. Using the sword, each of the Ten Legendary Warriors slashes Lucemon's Larva Form, destroying him forever.

After the final battle, the DigiDestined have a talk with the Ten Legendary Warriors, learning that they have left lasting marks on the Digimon. With Lucemon's defeat, the Digital World is restored, now better then ever after being freed from evil. Afterwards, they are forced to return to the Human World before Lucemon's portal closes, leaving heartbroken friends behind as they go back to their own world to save Koji's brother with their D-Tectors.

Unbeknownst to every Digimon in the Digital World, Lucemon's egg is floating far away from the Digital World further and further until it completely vanished, leaving no trace.

Meanwhile in another world. . .

The digi egg suddenly appears inside an apartment. Floating above a red & orange haired girl named Sunset Shimmer sleeping in her bed, the egg slowly descend upon the girl as it sits beside her. The sleeping girl groans in her sleep as she turns and grabs a hold of the egg close to her. She then unknowingly form a small smile on her lips before sighs and continues to finally sleep peacefully with no nightmares.

Inside Sunset's dream, she finds herself somewhere in a barren wasteland.

She looks around to see no one here and tries to call out to anyone.

"Hello!" Sunsets calls out, but no one responded back.

Her voice echoes around the wasteland and yet there was no sign life nor anything.

Some minutes later, her voice dies down as she thought there's nobody to answer her on why she's here.

Suddenly, Sunset hears something in the distance not far from her position. She runs off to follow the sounds as they are getting closer to her ears. Finally stopping near a cliff edge, her eyes widen upon seeing a massive battle. She sees a lot of strange creatures battling in what appears to be armies fighting to conquer the lands. Fear and sadness took hold on Sunset as she witness each lives have fallen one-by-one. Even the ones that tried to run away, but were taken down by their own kind.

"Make this stop, please." Sunset said in tears.

A minute later, all the creatures stopped fighting when they notice something from above the skies.

Sunset also notice this when the being slowly descends until it lands in the center battlefield.

She couldn't figure out what the being is saying as all the army put down their weapons and bow to him.

Sunset sighs in relief when the army stops fighting as each of them begins a new start and mourn their comrades.

Then a small sand storm appears and all the beings have suddenly disappeared.

Sunset got confused what happen to them and looks around, only to see the same figure standing in front of her.

"W-Who are you?" Sunset says to the being, noticing that it has eight wings on it's back.

"You must be my new partner." The being said smiling in a voice of a male.

It's smile then vanishes to a frown and glares at Sunset speaking in a cold tone.

"Don't disappoint me."

"GAH!"

Sunset wakes up in her bed with some sweat on her head and having some hyperventilation.

She eventually begins to calm down with some inhale and exhale.

"Weird, it felt like a dream, but what that place?" Sunset murmurs to herself.

Her elbow accidentally bumps something as it lands on a bean bag.

She turns her head and froze to see a shiny egg.

At that point, she's getting a hyperventilation again and her eyes are twitching.

Inside the Sugarcube Corner, customers and employees are having their normal days.

Until something happens, a loud yell rings out in all of Canterlot making everyone cover their ears. One of the employee who was carrying some food and drinks accidentally drops it, making a complete mess.

"Did I just hear a loud squeeing of a pony?" One of the customers said taking off her headphone.

"I believe so Vinyl." Her friend says, wiping off some stains on her clothing.

"Okay, okay, there has to be a scientific explanation."

Sunset is walking around in her apartment scratching and messing up her beautiful hair.

"Did I became pregnant before or after I arrived in this human world? No, that can't be right. I mean I have been a good pony under my former mentor. Wait, did she get me pregnant? No! Don't think that way Sunset. I'm sure she didn't do anything inappropriate to me. Although, I did try out one drink, but it was only one time. There's just no way I became a blood mother. What am I gonna do? I can't be ready to raising my own child all alone without someone else. Wait, am I still straight or not? Why am I so confused right now?"

After some minutes of losing her mind, she did her inhale and exhale trick again.

"Okay Sunset, just calm down and think straight. Don't lose focus."

She looks to her bed seeing a strange device and the egg still sitting on the bean bag.

"What is this egg and device doing in my apartment?"

She ponders in her mind on what to do as an idea pops into her head.

"Hmmm, maybe I can look at any books or computer and see any information on them."

So Sunset gets dressed in the bathroom and later heads out to her school at CHS.

Some hours later, Sunset came back to her apartment and lays down on her bed grumbling.

"Well, that was a total bummer." Sunset groans and curses in her pillow.

"Neither books nor tech computers have any information on the egg and device."

She turns her head right to look at the shiny egg and weird device. She picks up the device and uses her fingers to push any buttons on it, but got no response. Grumbling again, she puts the device down and also picks up the egg. She puts her ear to it and hear some slow beats inside, not knowing of what kind of animal or a rare creature will hatch.

"I guess this may not be so bad. At least I can do some study once this egg hatches."

Now Sunset can perhaps take care of the egg and find out why the device is with it.

However, there's just one problem; Poachers or somebody else might come looking for the egg soon. She has no idea of what those sick people or the ones in her world might do the egg. Either using experiments, train it in war, or something worse than that. She didn't want to think too badly on what happens next.

Sunset looks at her window and spots some leaves blowing away while holding the egg tight.

"How am I going to explain all of this to Twilight and the others?" She murmurs.

Meanwhile in Equestria. . .

Far away in the snowy mountains, a fissure opens up to reveal an unexpected sight. A largest rare material begins to crack as something else is breaking free from the inside. The whole material cracks opens to reveal a being laying in the snow. The temperature didn't affect it's body as the creature gets up to roar loudly and treks through the snow storm, heading towards several places in order to gain it's power and strength.

Chapter 2: Connections & thoughts.

Inside the egg on Sunset's bed, a faint glow is shown with a sleeping Digimon.

You can the quiet sounds of it from the outside.

While the small Digimon wasn't disturbed, it suddenly shivers from the pained headaches.

The ones where it vaguely remembers something a very long time ago, before the battle of ten spirits.

At the high summit somewhere, an argument is heard throughout the meeting.

"This is outrageous, unacceptable!"

Four figures were seen, including one that's fuming in negative emotions.

"Why, out of all the aging times, would you make our sworn enemies sign an oath contract?!"

The figure points it's trident at the leader who's taken a heavy choice decision.

"Helgeysermon, it may have been a risky plan, but our enemies lost when they dealt a lost gamble price and sworn an oath to never attack again. All of us are to bring the balance between the Digital realm and the Reality realm." The figure leader calmly stated.

"Plus, there's no way the beast deities can battle against our formed strategy battalion Digimon. Even if they somehow make a backup plan to conquer our realm, they can't navigate through the unknown dangerous terrains." Another figure added.

The one named Helgeysermon gripped the trident and planted it on the ground.

"That is true, but you forgotten of what these savages did at my home."

Tears were shown from Helgeysermon.

"My own wife, Mastemon, we were suppose to start a new family. The years we had spent is very special to me. Yet, these barbarian heartless monsters had destroyed my beloved home! The one place where my wife was murdered and now, I felt all alone without her and our baby! Now, you had the audacity, the nerve to make our enemy sign a stupid oath?! When they have just started a war by invading our realm and stain everything in blood?! WHAT KIND OF PATHETIC, LAZY, FOOLISH, BACKSTABBING LEADER ARE YOU?!!!" He loudly shouted to every Digimon.

. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . .

There was a moment of silence as his voice is echoed in the summit.

The leader sighs sadly, knowing of his friend's pained history.

"I'm very sorry for your loss Helgeysermon. Had I known of them planning to target your home, things would've changed differently, but I cannot uplift the oath contract for you to avenge your whole family. This war had enough losses and I don't want this slaying cycle to continue onward."

Helgeysermon looked down and gritting his teeth.

"Tch, I refuse to accept your apology nor sympathy Zolusmon. You, like our alliance, have stained our trusted pact where it can never recover. From now on, I'm no longer tied to the alliance of the Digital Order."

He walks out of the meeting room, but stops and turns his head toward a figure standing beside Zolusmon.

"Wintusmon, we may be brother and sister, but I'm done taking orders from your husband. If I were you, I'd make sure to question his decisions and straighten him out before he loses you as well. Altiusmon, you've been the longest friend with me ever since we stick together, despite having a rough start of meeting each other and having bad fights. You know where to find me at my usual place. Goodbye, sister and my dearest friend, Altiusmon."

After Helgeysermon left the summit meeting, the two Digimon turn toward Zolusmon.

"You don't want us to follow him Lord Zolusmon?" Altiusmon asked him.

"No Altiusmon, I can clearly see much emotions surrouding him. I didn't had the time to sort out the plan with everyone and my own mistake has not only saved millions of lives dying from the continued conflict, but it torn apart our trusted relationships of some like Helgeysermon."

"Husband, you know it wasn't your fault. You did the right thing of making our enemy sworn with an oath contract to never terrorize the digital realm ever again, even the Digimon everywhere has called you a hero of saving many lives." Wintusmon comforted him.

"I know Wintusmon, but somehow it wasn't enough to stop this conflict sooner rather than later. No matter on how much I want to deny it, Helgeysermon is right. I should've confronted him about my plan to see if he had any thoughts about it, but instead I ignored him where he needed the comfort from losing his family. I mean, look at us, we're suppose to be the destined god Digimon of creating order. Yet, at the same time, we can't always make better choices and protecting every sentient life. There's always the harsh realities in every realms like ours, no matter how much they want to deny it. Let's face it, we're not the immortal Digimon to everyone and every creature. One day, our digital bodies will pass on, but a new generation will take the place of the Digital Order. Including the light and dark that will battle in the future."

The two Digimon did thought about it and he makes some good points. They can understand on why he's been pretty stressed out since before and after the conflict was over. Plus, all of the Digimon aren't immortal, only their data flows back into the Digital world to create old and newer life for the next generations.

"So, what should we do about Helgeysermon?" Altiusmon questioned.

"Give him some space before talking to him when he's ready. Meanwhile, I want you and my wife to tell the three about this news later on. If you don't mind, I need some time alone as well."

Both the Digimon nodded at his decision. Altiusmon bowed while Wintusmon kissed her husband's cheek before they head off. Zolusmon sighs under his breath from this frustrating and sad day before glancing at the pillar seats.

"You can come out now."

Behind one of the pillars, a young Digimon peeks out with a sad face and walks over to him. bipedal creature covered in white fur. It has yellow eyes, fangs, stubby arms with three red claws each, stubby legs, three toes on each foot, and yellow wings. Its general body shape, the horn-like appendage on the top of its head and the swirl at the base of the appendage.

"Father, is it true? Does my uncle want to leave your alliance order?"

He sees his dad giving a sad look before taking a stroll.

"Walk with me son, we have much to discuss about the future of the realms."

"Sunset Shimmer?" A voice rang out.

Her name is called up by the principal as she's awake from her sleep.

"Yes Principal Celestia?" She responded.

"Did you hear on what I just said?"

"Ummmm . . . n-no, sorry."

Principal Celestia sighs and drinks her coffee before sorting out her paper works.

"Miss Shimmer, lately in the past four days, you've been skipping out on some study work in classes. I have gotten reports from your teachers and I personally wanted to know that if you're okay. Any problems on your mind, falling out on friends, or perhaps blackmail threatened by anyone outside or inside of school? No offensive if directed at you."

Sunset waved her left hand on the last part. It's somewhat true, she hasn't gone to study her work ever since the mysterious egg and the device is brought into her life of the human world. So far, none of the humans in this world don't know about the egg she secretly has, but it's for some reason concerning her because of the strange connection. From the dream and foggy memories, Sunset doesn't know on what to do.

"Nothing on my mind, just something that I don't want anyone to find out." She rubs her shoulder.

"Really, like what exactly?" Principal Celestia raised an eyebrow.

Sunset silently gulps, careful to not mention everything to her principal. On the one hand, she can't tell on what will happen if the whole school finds out about the egg and taken to the government. On the other, she could probably write a letter in her book to Princess Twilight Sparkle, but doesn't know if she has the answers to it if the egg is from the dragon lands or somewhere else in the entire Equestria world. Maybe it wasn't from her world nor this human world she's standing in, the eggs probably from the stars somewhere in the deepest parts of space. There's so many questions that can't be answered directly or quickly.

Although, perhaps she needs advices not from her own principal since she still has the hard time of being a good friend to her, despite seeing the similarity of her principal with her old mentor. Maybe she can ask her human friends for a solution or hint to figure out.

"Actually principal Celestia, there are a few friends who can help me out."

{Meanwhile. . .}

In the Digital World dimension, two Digimon creatures were walking in the fielded jungle.

One Digimon is a tall lion-man with orange fur, yellow mane, yellow fur on its legs and the tip of its tail, blue eyes, black nose and mouth, five fingers on its hands and feet, black claws, black ear tips, and scars on its arms, left foot, and the left side of its face. Its ears are on top of its head. It wears a golden earring on its left ear, a collar with with a blue gem in the middle and multiple red teeth around it, black pants with yellow cords forming multiple "X" on its side, a black belt with a square metallic buckle on its waist, three others on its left arm, another in its left hand, and another in the pantleg. It carries its sword in the back on its belt.

The other is a little, bouncing blob cat face with ears and tail.

"Any settlements you would like to stay little Mimon?" The tall one asked.

"Nope, I'm fine with going along with you Leomon. Not that I'm complaining ever since you've found me in the desert graveyard. I didn't know if any other Digimon would've came to rescue me." The little one named Mimon responded back.

"Speaking of the desert, how did you wind up in the graveyard?"

"I'm not sure, my memory is a bit foggy though. Last I remember is eating a tasty snack."

However, there conversation is cut short when Leomon senses that everything is quiet.

"Wait Mimon, stay behind me. I can sense the danger is approaching us."

The two were on guard as it would seem that everything has stopped around them.

Right before the two is a hologram appearing from the ground, eyes were shown.

"The big cat kicking with pride of loyalty and respect to all Digimon."

"Who are you? A friend or foe?" Leomon said, glaring at the figure in the hologram shadow.

"Hmph, I'm neither friend nor foe. Just a watcher of looking at every battles. Although, if my memory serves me right, you have aided a certain group of humans from time to time."

Leomon's eyes widen in shock, he knew of the humans who he helped, but surprised this figure knows as well.

"What? You know of the Digidestined?"

"Indeed, my feline friend. I have watched you interact with them in good moments. However, I also recall that you had died about oh I don't know, more than three separate occasions on my math calculations. Remember?"

Leomon pauses in thought, he did remember of his final moments with the humans. Yet. . .

"Unfortunately, I do remember my times of dying, but I can't recall the last one."

The figure glances at Mimon who's shaking in fear behind Leomon.

"Best not to dwell on it for now. Anyway, I am here to have a serious talk with the two of you."

"Then, if you aren't here for the Digidestined, what is it you wanted to talk about?"

". . . The balance of power has shifted between the Digital & Humanity realm. If nothing is done to stop it from happening, then I dread the day of what'll become to both of the realms and beyond the dimensions."

Leomon and Mimon turn to each other on this unsettling news before Mimon popped a question.

"W-What do you mean by that?" Her body shaking up more.

"It's what I just said and your friend Leomon can tell that it's not good. Unless of course, I can offer a solution to you both on perhaps, buying you some time to come up with a plan."

The two thought about it for a moment before Leomon turns his head toward the figure.

"If this trouble is more serious to both the human and digital world, it can't be good. I'll accept your offering solution however, should you deceive us, I won't have a problem of destroying you myself."

"You have my word Leomon, I wouldn't dream of breaking up a promised alliance. Now before we talk about the plan, we must take a few trips in the human world. Not the one where your previous digidestined friends were from, but of a different one connected to a magical world."
