> Chapter 1 beginning

“Hey, it’s time to leave.” I heard my brother shout from downstairs.

“Yeah, yeah I’m coming.” I yelled back and I finished packing my bags, we were going to the Anime convention in a few days and we had some traveling to do before we got there but it was worth it, it was my first convention.

I walked down stairs and saw my brother, he was 23 and I was 21, he had black hair and blue eyes, he had a scar over his left eye. He always got into fights at work but he always gave them a run for their money. Our parents died two years ago and I have been living with my brother for a few weeks, we liked the same things; anime, manga, foods like meatloaf and compow chicken.

“You ready to go, slow poke?” He asked with a smile as he ruffled my hair and I pushed his hand away.

“You know I hate it when you do that Jonathan.” I said as I looked in a nearby mirror and started fixing my hair I had red hair that I got from our mother and my eyes a light blue with a little green on the edges.

“It’s time to go Dan.” Jonathan said as he walked outside with his suet case and loaded it into the car and I loaded my after he started up the car and got in.

After we got on the road it was boring to say the least I brought my phone and a few books so I could entertain myself.



3 days later



After three days of boredom and sitting, we finally arrived at the convention. “My butt feels numb.” I muttered as I got out of the car and stood up, popping my back and getting some feeling back into my legs.

“Hey all you had to do was sit around I was the one driving.” He said.

“Well the only time we stopped was to sleep so it was boring.” I said as I finished stretching and we walked inside the building.

“Remember the plan?”My brother asked.

“Yeah-yeah meet back here in two hours I now let’s just sync our watches.” I said and we pulled out our phone and were ready to set the timer. “3.2.1. Go.” We started them at the same time and we walked in different directions, I had about 300 dollars to spend and I didn’t really have anything in mind so I continued to walk through the convention and watched several recreations of fights from animes and mangas it was getting close to time and I haven't found anything to buy yet. 

“Hey you over there you looking for anything.”I heard behind me and I turned and saw a person dressed as the merchant from resident evil 4, I walked up to his little shop.

“Well I don't really have anything in mind, what do you have available?” I ask him with a smile and I could tell he was smiling as well as he ducked under his counter and I could hear him rummaging through the boxes and cabinets that he had.

“Where did I put it.” I heard him mutter as he looked through bags  and he stopped and looked inside and quickly grabbed something in the bag he was holding.”I was originally planning on giving this to someone else but I guess they aren't coming today.” He said as he put a red diamond on the counter.

“That looks cool.”I said as I looked at the diamond.”It looks so real.” I said and he nodded.

“Made it myself and you can have it for let’s say about $150 should be fair with how real it looks and I will throw in the repair kit for you and instructions on how to repair it.”He said as he put a mediums sized bag beside the diamond then he pulled out a sword and placed it beside the bag.

“This sword is 100 dolares it also come with the diamond if you want it.”He said as he opened a register and I thought about it and nodded and gave him the money so I only had 50 dollars left.”Anything else you want?” He asked and I looked around he had a pearl

“I will take that pearl if you don't mind?” I asked and he handed me it and I gave him my remaining 50 dollars.

“Enjoy, I had already sold a Black and Purple Diamond to some suck-er-customers, today, who seemed satisfied.” He said and I walked away I turned back around to say thanks but he was gone and so was his shop I just stood there as I stared at the empty space and I walked away I walked to the entrance and I saw my brother he saw me and started jogging towards me then I felt strange, then he started sprinting and I noticed everything was moving. I looked down and saw a hole opened up under me, everything was moving slowly now and all I could do was watch my brother try to reach me as he sprinted towards me. A lot of other people saw what was happening and several were running towards me as well, but they were too late, I was already going through the floor which closed up as I passed through.

Time felt endless in the void I could not tell how long I was in their seconds turn into minutes and minutes into hours as I floated in that black void devoid of light and my body felt like it could not move anymore “Why? Why did this happen to me.” I said to myself as I floated in the vast emptiness.

I felt a light tug, then a pull and I was suddenly suspended in mid air then dropped, I still could not move my body I just closed my eyes and prepared for the end then I heard very loud crashing and thuds. when it stopped I was on a stone floor overlooking a room I tried to move but I could not and I could hear footsteps enter the room as I watched I looked to a far side of the room and saw a figure step out of the shadow it was an anthro unicorn she had purple fur and her mane was a darker purple and a streak of pink as well the the room started to feel cold as a blue mist appeared and gathered and formed another unicorn but this one had wings.

The black mare started laughing as she carried 5 round stones in her starry mane the Purple unicorns horn started to glow as she prepared to charge.”You’re not serious, are you?” The black mare mocked, and the purple one charged. The black one as well the purple one’s horns glowed brightly as she disappeared and reappeared near the stones, then she began focusing her magic into them.

The black mare was not happy as she teleported and kicked her away from them as they glowed. “No-no-no.” She panicked... then the glowing stopped

“But where is the sixth element?”The purple one asked in disbelief, and the black one laughed then she lifted her hoof and stomped the ground, destroying the stones.

“You little foal, thinking you could defeat me! Now you will never save your princess, your sun! The night shall last forever.” The winged unicorn declared as she laughed, then sounds of yelling could be heard outside and the purple one looked like she got an idea. After her friends gathered around her she spoke.

“You think you destroyed the elements of harmony? Well you’re wrong, because the spirits of the elements of harmony, are right here!” She said confidently and the fragments started to glow and she listed off what her friends did and the fragments glowed as they formed into necklaces, and a crown appeared on her head. They float into the air and a rainbow started to fly towards the black winged unicorn.

“You think I have not come up with a plan for if this should happen again?!” The black mare shouted as a mirror like shell appeared around her and deflected the rainbow. The mares that helped the purple one fell to the ground exhausted.”Now you all shall feel my wrath!” She hissed as she summoned a scythe and was about to attack, but I was trying with all of my will to move... but it was no use, I was struggling to even stay awake at this point, but I felt something inside me and it burst free as a red fiery beam lunged towards the mare, knocking her out. The six mares got ready again and launched the rainbow once more. From there the rest was a blur, the next thing I knew I was picked up by a white mare with a stylish purple mane.

“You will be perfect for a new dress I am making.” She said as she stuffed me in a bag but before that I got a good look at all of the six mares, then I was in a bag and she started walking. After an hour she finally took me out.

“This is the perfect diamond for my dress! but I will need to get to work tomorrow.” She said.

“What are you talking about I am not a dia..” She moved away and I faced a mirror revealing a red diamond, the same one I bought from the merchant. From then on I knew my life would never be the same.



Next morning.



I just stared at my reflection all night trying to imagine why this happened to me. “Why did it have to be me?” I asked myself, then I heard the sound of footsteps.

“Now then, I can get to work on making this Diamond fit my dress now.” she said but her Orange friend burst into the room.

“Rarity we need your help at the farm Scootaloo, Applebloom, and sweetie belle are being attacked by timberwolves they are held up in the tree house but it won’t take long for them to get in.” She said and they both rushed out and I wanted to help but I was just a wait this is familiar am I not just a diamond then I went deep into thought and remembered that magic that attacked the black mare it was mine I was a diamond from steven universe.

I focused with all my might in a attempt to make a body for myself i could feel something but it was faint and very hard to grasp and when I did a mass of energy surrounded me and forme a body for a moment before falling apart but the energy still surrounded me but could I move.

I thought forwards and the energy moved forward along with myself ‘it’s not much but it will do for now’ i thought as I rushed outside and the orange one talked about a farm and I spotted a lot of apple trees so I went that way into the trees.



Applejack POV



“Scram you varmints!” I yelled as I kicked a timber wolf and it collided into another one but they only reformed seconds later.

“Applejack watch out.” Twilight yelled as I looked behind me and a timberwolf was lunging at me but it was kicked away by Rainbow.

“Yeah take that.” She said as she fought of two of them and another pack was running towards us from the Everfree.

“There’s too many of them.” Rarity said as she stomped on a timber wolf's head and as another lunged at me I closed my eyes and was ready for the end, but all I heard was the pained whimpers of the timberwolves and I opened my eyes to see a giant mass of red firey magic and at the center a red diamond and a tendril had grabbed the timber wolf and lifted it up before smashing it on the ground. flames danced and burned away the remains so it could not reform, tendrils then shot from all over the mass grabbing timberwolves and smashing them against trees and the ground, leaving the remains of the timberwolves on fire, causing the rest fled to the forest.

“Hey that’s my diamond.” Rarity said as she pointed at the red diamond as it fled quickly into the forest.

Rarity tried to run after it but Twilight stopped her.”Don’t go after it, we have no idea what it is or what it wants.” She said to Rarity and she went to the tree house to get her sister.

“So what do we do sugar cube?” I asked.

“For now I will contact Celestia and ask how we should proceed with this.” She said and I nodded in agreement.



Dan POV



‘That was close I thought rarity was going to try to snatch me.’ I thought as I hurried into the forest.

Before I knew it I was back at the castle and I felt drained, so I retracted my energy back into my diamond before I fell unconscious.



Twilight POV



I was in the library writing a letter to Princess Celestia.



Dear princess Celestia.
Today something happened today. The Cutie Mark Crusaders were attacked by timberwolves, they hid in their tree house while we tried to save them, but there were too many for us to handle and one almost killed applejack. However, before it reached her a mass of magical energy rivaling your own attacked the timberwolves by creating tendrils that grabbed them and set them on fire. After that rarity said it was her diamond and it ran into the forest, after that I talked to her and found out that she found it in the castle and from some magical residue I found it was the same magic that stopped nightmare from killing us. I await your response.

After I finished spike blew flames on it and sent it to the princess, and after a few minutes burped up Celestia’s reply.



Dear Twilight. 
I am relieved that you and your friends are alright, and the appearance of this diamond worries me greatly. But we can not be quick to judge, based on his actions he is good, but we must observe it for now and decide what to do. Now that is where you come in, you will watch its behavior and report its actions to me.

After I finished reading I placed it down on the desk and went to bed my, observing will start tomorrow.



Next day Dan POV



I woke up and I felt restored, it was time for me to make a body. I was in the room where they fought the black mare and my energy massed around me, forming my body, but it failed again but I was not going to let it deter me and I kept going.



Twilight POV



After tracking the magical residue, I found it led back to the castle. At first it just stayed still like any normal diamond, but then the fiery magically energy formed around it. First it was just a simple mass but then it tried to from something that appeared bipedal. It looked at its hands but then its form collapsed forming the mass of energy from before. It continued trying to form the same figure again and again all with the same result, until finally it gave up and headed outside. I followed and watched as it stopped in the middle of the forest, then its energy grew in size as it formed the same figure once more, it seemed more stable this time and with that stability I was able to notice the figure appeared masculine, indicating it was male from that choice of form.

The energy then seemed to be attempting to turn into something else, but before it could solidify it collapsed again.



Dan POV



‘I was so close I just need more practice. It seems larger bodies are easier to use but they are very inconvenient.‘ I thought as I tried one more time but before I did I felt something some presence around me and I turned and saw the same unicorn I think she was also fighting the wooden wolves I moved towards her but she notice I saw her and she teleported away so I tried to form a body again.

I focused and my vision went dark, I tried opening my eyes and I was looking through my own eyes. I looked around and saw a lake, I headed in that direction and then knelt down to the water looking at my reflection. My hair was blood red and my skin was a bright red like a candy apple, my eyes still had the whites and the black yet the rest was blood red like my hair. Suddenly I felt light headed and I almost fell to the ground, but I caught myself and began getting a rush of memories, they were red’s memories. Then I was suddenly somewhere else, I was on a volcanic planet, then I fell to my knees as I started getting all of his memories. Many of them were too fast to see but I got most of it, I saw images of his building his colony on this planet and taking off colors in and staying away from the other diamonds, they did not know about him. I remember something or someone but I could not remember who but then I saw images of war, the survivors of the other diamonds attacks had spread the word that all diamonds are destroyers and they, with the help of other planets, laid siege to red’s colony. But they held strong for a hundred years before the planet became unstable and exploded, but somehow red survived and landed on this planet and his power was unstable until now.

I was having difficulty holding onto reality right now both of my memories feel so real I can't tell them apart I was shaking but I looked at my reflection and I calmed, I put my hand to my face as I spoke.”I am me and nothing else.” It seemed to calm me a bit to where I wasn't shaking like before.

I got up and remembered I got other things from that merchant, I pulled out my sword and it also had a letter attached to it.



Dan, I know you are confused right now, but this letter will tell you some of your powers and you can get the rest from your memories.

First power, creating sentient gems by fusing a gem with your aura, it will slowly gain its own mind and then emerge.

Second, you have two auras. Rage will increase your fire powers, your strength and your speed. The next one is passion, your gems can already feel this to a lesser extent even without you using it, as for what it does, well... it is more complicated. It can bring out one’s inner passion and also make them very horny towards you, the gems that you make will feel some affection towards you and will obey you but when you release that aura they will be all over you.

The rest you can get from your memories when you were at war with the other planets.



That is all it said as I crumpled it up and engulfed it in flames.”FUCK YOU MERCHANT!” I yelled at the top of my lungs and the area around me turned blood red, I could feel my power coursing through me but I calmed down and it disappeared soon after.

“That must have been my rage aura.” I said to myself as I sat down on the edge of the lake and put my legs in the water, I was still trying to cool off but it seems I was heating up the lake to a nice temperature that felt good. I relaxed as I laid on the ground took a deep breath and breathed out. “Maybe it won’t be so bad here.” I said as I put my hands behind my head but I worried about my brother, what will he do now that I’m gone? He would most definitely try to look for me but he would never succeed.

“Well I guess this is goodbye brother, I’m sorry I was never able to say goodbye in person.” I said as I felt hot tears go down my cheek and I closed my eyes and went to sleep.



POV Twilight





Dear Celestia.
It seems that this diamond is trying to form a body out of magic, it almost succeeded but it saw me before I could see it do it again. I ran back to Ponyville and it did not follow me, I am fairly sure this thing is male as his forms seemed masculine, but I have no idea what he is. I await your reply.

After I sent it to Celestia, I waited for her to respond, but it did not come. Instead there was a knock on my door and I answered it, revealing it was Princess Celestia.

“Princess.” I said surprised by her visit.

“Evening Twilight, but we don’t have time for pleasantries we must see this diamond you told me about.” She said and I noticed she was in full armor, I was starting to get worried as I led her to where I last saw the diamond. It was gone but there were giant footprints that lead us to a lake, it was lightly steamy and I felt the water. It was warm on this cold day and through the steam we saw a massive figure who looked to be sleeping, he was as tall as the Everfree’s trees and I could see the diamond on his chest, it was tiny in comparison to his body but the diamond was still fairly larger than other diamonds that are found.

He yawned as he sat up and lifted his legs out of the lake, the water on him evaporated as he stood to his full height and stretched.



Dan POV



“Well that was a good nap.” I said aloud and I heard twigs snapping behind me and I turned around to see the Purple Unicorn and another winged one, this one white instead of black.

“Who, and what, are you?” Asked the winged one.

‘Which name Should I choose to go by?’ I thought, and then with a nod I decided.

“I am Red Diamond and I am, well, a Diamond.” I said.

“I am princess Celestia, and this is my student Twilight, why are you here?” Celestia asked.

“That is a long story.” I said as I sat down with my legs crossed and so did they. “I am not of this world.” I said and Twilight started jumping around excited.

“Proof of extraterrestrial life!” She said, continuing to jump around until Celestia calmed her down.

“There are other Diamonds except me and they are rulers, they came from a planet they call Homeworld, it is where the diamond hierarchy started. There were four diamonds ruling it, White, Yellow, blue, and pink. To expand their empire the conquered entire planets to create new gems and make their empire stronger but the survivors of their conquests spread the word of the Diamonds and they thought all of us were evil. My colony of gems lived on a volcanic planet peacefully, as I was able to create gems without draining the life out of a planet, but the planets and survivors that hated diamonds saw that I only had one planet. So they attacked us, my power is over fire and that includes magma so on my planet I was almost invincible, and over a hundred years the war on my planet was waged, until the core of the planet became unstable from the constant fighting on the surface, causing it to explode and fling me into the vast emptiness of space until I landed here.” I said as I remembered the battles I fought on the planet and how in the end we lost.

“I am sorry for your loss.” Celestia said as she wiped away a tear from her eyes, Twilight was crying as well.

“Well is there anywhere I can stay?” I asked

“Is there a way you can shrink your form?” Celestia asked and I nodded, I learned how from my memories my body is made of light so I have to condense it to make a smaller body.

My vision blacked for a moment before I was able to see again, now I was the same size as Celestia and Twilight was only a foot smaller than me. 

“How tall am I right now?” I asked.

“About 7 feet and 5, maybe 7 inches.” Celestia said.

“Well where will I stay?” I asked her.

“You can stay in ponyville but I don't know if there are any houses available.” She said.

“I can make my own house and I would appreciate it if you could give me a few gems so maybe I can start rebuilding my colony here.” I said sadly at the last part and she nodded.

“There is a vacant lot in town I believe that I can give you the deed to and a few gems, you can explain later how you make them.” She said but I had to ask for one more thing.

“And I will need lumber to build it.” I requested, she nodded and we went into town, the ponies stared at me as I walked with Celestia. We entered Town hall and she talked to the mayor and got me the deed and a supply of lumber.

“Thank you Celestia.” I said and she took me to the lot. It was a massive lot and was not far from a building that looked like a gingerbread house. Next she showed me where the lumber I could use is, and after that she took me back to the lot and I grew to carry the lumber I needed, the ponies were amazed by my sudden growth but they went back to what they were doing after a few minutes of watching me build, with them moving on I continued through the night.



Next morning



I finished building my house, it was small but it would do. I shrunk down and walked inside. The house even had a bedroom with an actual bed, I grabbed one from the castle and cleaned it a bit, it was a king sized bed and looked good even after so much time. There was also a kitchen on the bottom floor with all the necessary parts, even a working fridge somehow despite no electricity. It was an invitation to a party and it was tonight so I had time, I closed the door and went to check on the pearl, but suddenly there was another knock. I opened the door and this time it was Twilight.

“Come to ask questions?” I asked and she nodded and I let her in and she sat on the bed and I moved the pearl.

“First question is about your biology.” She stated.

“First, this is my real body.” I said pointing to the gem.”The rest is constructed from light and I can change it however I want, like my clothes.” I said as I looked at my clothes, they looked more like skin at this point and I needed to hid my gem to keep it safe so I change my clothes to a black jacket with a bright red shirt the and I had blue jeans and black boots and now my gem was hidden in my clothes.

“So what happens when the construct is destroyed?” She asked.

“We retract back into our gem and create a new one, the time varies between each gem from type to how fast they consciously put it together.” I explained.

“Ok next question, how long do you live?” She asked.

“We don’t age we can only die if our gem is destroyed.” I said and she wrote it down.

“Last question, how do you create new gem without draining the planet like you said?” She asked and I blushed.

“Each diamond has their own powers and mine, well, I will just say it is personal, okay?” I said and she understood, she stood up, said goodbye and left. With that settled I turned my attention back to the pearl, I picked it up and looked at it.

I could feel the spark in the gem doing its job as it gave the gem the spark of life it needed.

It was getting dark and I think it was time to head to the party from the invitation, it was in the gingerbread house that the invite called ‘Sugarcube Corner’. I walked inside, it was dark and I could not see, then the lights suddenly turned on and all I could hear was a group of ponies yelling out.

“SURPRISE.” They yelled, the noise forcing me to cover my ears, I was thankful it wasn’t loud enough to break glass.

I recovered from my ear drums almost being popped and saw ponies were gathered around, partying like there was no tomorrow.

“Hiya!” the pink pony said. “I'm Pinkie Pie.” She said.

“You can just call me Red if you want.” I said and she shook my hand.

“Let me introduce you to my friends.” she said and she almost dragged me across the room to meet her friends. “You already know Twilight and there is Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow dash, and Fluttershy.” She said pointing to each one as she said their names.

After hat the party continued for a bit before Rainbow, Applejack, and rarity approached me.

“Hey, we have been wanting to talk to you.” Rainbow said.

“What is it? is something wrong?” I asked and they shook their heads.

“No, we just wanted to thank you for saving us and the CMC.” Rainbow dash said with a blush and she rubbed her arm.

“It was no problem.” I said, and with a nod they walked away with smiles on their faces.

The party was almost over and it was time for me to head home after saying goodbye I went home I walked inside and went I closed it there was a flash of light up stairs and I rushed up and when I looked at the bed and saw someone she had red hair and red shoes and she had some kind of red cloth cover her women parts and she wore a see through silk covered her arms and it went down to her waist and her gem was in between her breasts.

“You ok pearl?” I asked and I sat next to her, she clung to me then nodded as she calmed.

“I have come to give you the gems you wanted but if they are all going to look like her you will need more room.” She said as she handed me the bag and I looked inside, there was one peridot, a few amethysts, a topaz, a lapis, a sapphire, and lastly a bismuth.

“So you didn't tell Twilight how you made gems sentient, would you care to explain?” Celestia asked and I blushed.

“Well it is complicated you see I have two aura one is rage and the other passion I use the passion one to make them sentient but it also makes any sentient gems around me...” I paused as I was hesitant to say the last part. ”Horny.” I said quickly and Celestia blushed.

“Well I guess now I can see why you wouldn't tell her that.” She said still blushing and I grabbed the peridot and I looked at pearl.

“Can you head up stairs for a sec so it doesn't affect you.” I told her and she nodded and she went upstairs and my activates my Passion aura which surprised Celestia as she looked around and she room was coated in the crimson aura and I funneled the aura into the gems and the spark appeared in the center and the aura faded from the room and Celestia looked at the gem with fasnation.

“So what now?”She asked me and I looked at her

“Now we wait, it only took a few hours with pearl, it might take more time with her though.” I said and suddenly it began to shake, then it flew out of my hands and began to form already. After she made her body (without the limb enchantments for now) she fell to the ground, then once she looked at me she suddenly turned her head and blushed.

“I thank you for bringing me into existence, my Diamond, I shall utilise all of my skill and knowledge to function to your standards.” She said almost mechanically.

“I think I should get her used to being around here, I guess I can talk to you later.” I told Celestia and she left and I turned to peridot. “You ok?” I asked as I helped her up.

She blushed harder as she held my hand as I got her to her feet. “I am perfectly well, m-my Diamond, I’m suffering no flaws in my construct and my gem is clean and undamaged… w-why do you inquire?” She asked.

“Well I don’t really have any information on this world's gems so I was seeing if everything was normal.” I said.

“I do not appear to have any indication of impairment, why? Is… is my form unappealing and non-attractive to your preferences?” She asked nervously.

“No I like your form and every gem is perfect in their own way.” I said with a smile.

She smiled back, then blinked and turned away, her face akin to a tomato. “Well I see that I am successful to your specifications, I am active and pending command my Diamond, you may… a-ask me to do… a-a-anything you personally desire, I am…” her ears were now gaining the same coloration, I couldn’t see her face but her voice seemed strange. “E-eager to serve any of your needs… as per my design of course!” She said eagerly.

“Well for now I need to find us a bigger place for us to live if I am going to bring the rest of these gems to life.” I explained to her.

“Oh… a suitable choice would be to animate the Bismuth, as they are skilled in moulding molten rock, crystal and metal to create larger structures, although for a Diamond, a tower moulded from crystal would certainly be worthy of your presence.”

“There is a castle in the forest over there it is in ruin but it would be easy enough to fix up and repair but we will need to talk to the princess first.” I suggested.

“Of course, would you like me to begin designs for the different bedrooms?” She asked.

“Yes and I will animate the bismuth and try to contact Celestia.” I said then a flash of light and a letter appeared. 



No need, you can use the castle however you want.

 

It was a little weird she was watching us but it was good timing though.

“There! I have constructed a diagram for the reconstruction, would you like to review it?” Peridot said with a smile and she held up a few papers.

“Great job but first I will animate the bismuth can you head upstairs and meet my pearl.” I said and she went upstairs and I pulled out the bismuth and I did the same thing with it and both pearl and peridot came down and I took the papers and looked at them. 

It looked very well designed, and seemed to fit Gem Architecture… including how my room was at the top floor in my own personal tower while the rest were basic rooms at the lowest floor, a very clear separation of classes.

“If possible, I would like to be on the same floor as my gems.” I said.

“W-wait, you… on same floor, want to be.. E… e…” Peridot was suddenly red all over, whistling like a kettle until-

*POOF* echoed into the room as her Gem clattered to the floor, with no damage whatsoever.

“The other diamonds might like that stuff but they also never really cared for their gems like I do. I care for my gems and their safety I would rather die that let my gems be destroyed again.” I said almost letting my rage aura out but I took a deep breath and breathed out.

“Are you alright my Diamond?” Pearl asked, and I nodded in response.

“Yes I’m fine thank you for asking.” I said and pearl blushed and nodded, then there was shaking, so I looked at the bismuth as it began to form.

After her form was complete, she kneeled.”What are your orders my diamond.” She said

“For now you can help Peridot… once she reforms.” I said and she stood up and had a smile on her face and she appeared to be less affected by my aura.

“As you wish my diamond.” Bismuth said as she walked towards peridot’s gem and picked it up to watch over.

“So where we building this thing?” She asked.

“At the castle in the forest we are going to repair and improve the design.” I said as I changed the plans abit to where I was on the same floor as the other gems.

After that we set out for the castle, I grabbed the bag of gems and put them in my diamond until we had room for them to stay.

We were passing a ravine when suddenly, there was a loud bang and we looked to the sky, what we saw was a meteor that went over our heads, bearing strangely purple coloration as it descended, we decided to go and check it out.

“What do you think that was my diamond?” Pearl asked as she clung to my arm.

“I don't know, but last time I checked meteors weren't purple. ”I said and we neared the crash site and we saw a giant figure emerging from the crater and I grew to match its size. As the dust settled I saw a large purple female with a purple diamond between her breasts. As soon as she saw me she started to cry and ran over to me.

“Oh Red I can't believe you survived also and didn't get shattered by the explosion.” She said with a smile.

I felt tears run down my face, to which I touched them and looked at them as I now realized I cried magma. “Why am I crying?” I asked myself, as if to answer my question, I was hit by a massive head pain and I fell to one knee and held my head with one hand.

“My Diamond!” My gems yelled as they tried to rush to my aid but the Purple Diamond reached me first.

“Red are you ok? What's wrong?” She asked with a concerned tone and I started getting flashes of how I met purple on my world, she landed and my world almost shattered by the other diamonds and I helped her, that is all I could get from the flashes.

“I know you, you are Purple Diamond.” i said as i got to my feet.

“YAY, You remember me. I am so glad you didn't lose your memories like I almost did over the past ten years in space.” Purple said with a relieved tone.

“I only remember bits and pieces of you to understand how you know me and how I know you.” I told and she looked a little down but still happy that I knew who she was.

“Oh so you did lose your memory in the last ten years!” Purple said.

“I remember most things like my planet, my colony and the war, but there are bits and pieces that are missing.” I told her.

“Oh so you don't remember Magenta?” Purple asked.

“Who?” I said.

“Our fusion, the one you used to help heal me!” She said.

“How did I heal you with fusion?” I asked.

“Magenta, unlike me, can use her copy ability of Pink Diamonds healing ability on herself.” She replied.

“Well you should come with us we have a place we can fix up and maybe restart my colony.” I said.

“Really you want to restart our colony after what happened?” Purple asked.

“I just didn't want to be alone and I owe it to them to push forward.” I said and I was still crying magma tears.

“Don't cry here I'll use my aura to make you happy!” She said as a lavender aura springs into existence around us and I start to feel happier.

“Thank you let's get going we have a lot of work ahead of us.” I said.

“Ok let's rebuild our colony!” She said happily. 

“Yes let's.” I said with a smile, and we made it to the ruined castle.”Well, this is where it all begins, what do you think bismuth?” I asked and she rubbed her chin.

“I can work with this but it could take weeks before we can make any real progress, we will need more gems to make progress today.” She said and in response I pulled out all of the gems in the bag2.

”Can you all move back please?” I asked them.

“I’ll be fine Red, I've been near you doing this before.” She said and all of the other gems moved back a lot, once they were at a safe distance I unleashed my passion aura and it funneled into all of the gems, causing them to shake and take form there were; four amethysts, one lapis, a topaz, and finally a sapphire.

“How may we serve you my diamond.” They all said in unison.

“Will this be enough?”I asked and she nodded.

At that point Peridot reformed. “What happened? I had this strange hallucination involving masses of water vapour and pleasant moments of zero gravity.”

After explaining what happened we all got to work even me and purple helped out.

It took a lot of time, but eventually the base of our new colony had started taking form, although it was far from finished but it was livable for now.

“So living arrangements, are we going to use the same ones as back at our colony?” Purple asked.

“Everyone rests on the same floor.” I said. 

Peridot looked ready to overheat again, though unlike before managed to calm. “Of course, m-my Diamond, I’ll revise the plans to find another use for the tower.” Peridot said.

“I can use it to animate gems it is far enough away so I won’t affect anyone.” I suggested and she smiled.

She left to work, a slight bounce in her step.

{two weeks later. POV Change: ???}

Cold, hard, wet, or was it dry? Didn’t know anymore, all I knew was pain, needed help needed to fix but all I saw…

*SMASH*

PAIN! The Diamonds keep giving pain, it burns all over and it won’t stop!

I crawl, I needed help, but then I see them, the Diamonds! Smugly walking out of their shining towers! Mocking! Laughing over my shards.

‘I will not be laughed at! They shattered me! Killed me! I’ll shatter them! SHATTER THEM!!’

“rrrrreeeEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGH!!!” my form roared out as I tore ahead with my goal.

{POV change Red Diamond}
We finally finished the castle and along the way we found a reservoir that had tons of gems that I have animated to help us, they have been mostly calm but whenever I pass them they blush like crazy.

“It's so beautiful isn't it? I wish she could see it.” Purple said a little sadly.

“Who?” I asked.

“My mother, Bla-” she began, but was suddenly cut off as we hear a deafening noise.

“rrrrreeeEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGH!!!” we turned to see a hulking silhouette charging us down, and I only had a second to react as one of the massive limbs rocketed towards me and launched me in the air and I made a crater when I landed.

I shook off the blow I had just experienced as I got up from the crater I made in the impact.

Upon my recovery, I saw the creature in question in better detail, it was shining black and made from several shifting and different shaped stones as it writhed and spasmed aggressively, turning to Purple as its next target.

“OH CLOD!!!!” Purple Yelled as the black mass charged her.

It raised its arms, ready to slam down but it was then tackled by a monster it’s outer layer was made of hardened lava and magma could be seen within it.

“Just in time.” I said as I stood up I made a few magma golems from my memories during the time we were making the castle but this one is the only one that turned out right, still need a little practice and I pulled out my sword. “You ok Purple?” I asked.

“A little scared Red, man.” Purple said while shaking, the lava golem was putting up a good fight but it was losing ground against its foe.

“We need a plan and we need to know what this thing is.” I said.

“For some reason it feels familiar yet not quite.” Purple said.

“Well we need to fight to protect the gems they don’t stand a chance against this thing.” I said desperately I couldn’t see my gems destroyed again.

A sickening CRACK went through the air as the beast finished off my golem, then proceeded to advance on us.

“You stay here for a bit I will distract it.” I said as my sword lit on fire and I charge the beast, it tried to swing at me but I slid under its attack.

With my own swing I manage to nick it in the arm, causing sparks to fly and the mass on the arm to reel back, not in pain but in… fear?

‘Is it afraid of me.’ I thought and I lowered my sword to see what it would do.

It looked at its arm frantically checking over each stone, and seemed to calm a little when it seems that I did no damage, then it proceeded to charge at me again.

I stabbed my sword into the ground and the ground turned into lava and it proceeded to sink and once it was at neck depth the lava hardened. ’Will this hold it?’ I thought as I pulled my sword from the hardened lava.

The beast slowed and angrily struck at the rock, intending to free itself and shake the ground in an effort to disorient and disarm me.

“Purple, could use your help over here!” I yelled and I struck the head of the beast with my sword, causing it to reel back and the stones to pull away. What I saw next shocked me.

It was a gem, that was clear enough, but it was shattered, the shards pulling away and trying to force themselves together as black lightning sparked from the centre with each clash, me and Purple got a clear look at it before the physical mass closed up the opening and the creature became more frantic and mad from being exposed.

“Impossible, she was shattered. I watched it happen!!” Purple said.

“Who is it?” I asked.

“That's Black Diamond, she was like a mother to me and she taught me everything from peaceful living to gem creation she was shattered a hundred and fifteen years ago.” Purple said.

“Well then maybe my passion can calm her down, it might not work completely with her like this, but it should still have an effect.” I said as the area was wrapped in a crimson aura. As this was going on Purple started to cry into her hand catching the tears then ran up to Black Diamond and slammed them onto the shards of her gem in an attempt to fix Black Diamonds gem herself.

As it had broken out during this, we were lucky to find it no longer aggressive, bad news, the thing was now giving me a bearhug, purring contentedly as Purple’s magic got to work fixing the gem inside.

Eventually the form collapsed, with a fully complete Black Diamond and the crimson aura disappeared, and an unnoticed black aura receded as well, showing the ‘stones’ were in fact an entire array of living, yet dormant gems, all having a black diamond mark painted onto them.

“So this is black diamond, never really heard of any other diamonds.” I said surprised.

“She was, and I guess still is, the figurative Black Sheep of the Diamonds, she is actually the twin sister of White Diamond.”

“So when do you think she will form?” I asked.

“Anywhere from a few minutes to a few days, your guess is as good as mine.” Purple said.

The gem suddenly shook a little, as energy began to reach out from it, growing slowly.

“Well that was quick.” I stated, though as the shape had the occasional glitch as it began to form made it clear something was wrong.

As the form finally settled, and her form settled, that sense of wrong was fully realized, as Black Diamond’s first reaction to seeing us was to scream and pull the pile of gems away from us as her eyes were wide.

“GET AWAY FROM THEM!! I WON’T LET YOU HURT THEM! I WON’T LET YOU HURT ME! NEVER AGAIN!!” She cried out as the ground around her and the gems erupted into spikes, frightened tears in her eyes as she cradled her still sleeping gems and singing incoherent nursery rhymes.

“Hey its ok we are not going to hurt you or them I am red diamond.” I said introducing myself.

“Yes! You’re a Diamond! Just like them! Just like her! I won’t let my guard down again! I won’t let you use my gems as a weakness and shatter me!” suddenly a massive warhammer, which head alone was the same size as me, slammed down inches from my face. “KEEP AWAY FROM US!”

“My diamond.” I heard behind me and I felt someone grab my leg, it was pearl. “I heard fighting and I thought you were in trouble.” She said as she clung to my leg and I shrunk down and she hugged me.

“It's ok pearl.” I told her as I hugged her back.

“Mother!?” Purple called.

“Purple…?” Black said softly as she turned to her. “why…?”

“I never thought I would see you again after I saw you get shattered as I rushed to aid you.” Purple cried.

“Where were you before… when I needed you, when your sisters were falling and being brainwashed by my twin, when I broke down crying every night because of how White made me suffer just because I existed, when I was killed! You weren’t there! You abandoned me!” Black sobbed as her form glitched, her form now dishevelled and clearly broken, dress in tatters, then another glitch and she looked normal again.

“I was there mother, when you got shattered I was on my way back with more like minded gems when I was ambushed by the Diamond Authority. It took me two years to make it back to your world and when I did it was under attack from the Diamond Authority.” Purple is now in a heap crying her eyes out.

“I… I’m sorry, I can’t… I can’t handle this right now…” Black says as she withdraws her energy back into her gem.

“We should take the gems inside it would also be best if we kept them together.” I said.

A new gem emerges from the pile, this time a Black Pearl, who picks up the gem and looks at us. “I’m so sorry for her, she’s… not exactly in the best of states, I’ll take her in and help her recover enough to be more willing to talk.”

“Thank you my mother's most trusted companion.” Purple said with a sincere smile.

“It is no problem, she’ll emerge on her own once she’s stable, I’ll make sure of that, and I’ll treat the gem just as she would want to ensure a healthy mental recovery.”

“Yes thank you, me, purple, and my pearl will help carry the others.” I said as we started picking up gems and bringing them in and we put them all in one room. I told lapis to inform me when she emerges from her gem again.

That was when Peridot walked in, sporting some fancy looking limb enhancers. “My Diamond, all facilities have been accounted for and are completed, barring a few exceptions that need to continue development.” Peridot informed me.

“Good and has there been any problems with our little mining operation to get new gems?” I asked.

“No my Diamond, although many of the gems at work seem to experience… hot flashes, when they find a particularly high quality crystal that they keep requesting to gift you personally with.” Peridot said.

“Interesting, lead the way?” I asked her.

She nods and leads me and Purple down into the mines, only to find several of the miners happily cuddling and kissing rather shiny and unblemished gems they had mined out with plenty of affection. The group then seemed to notice me and rush over, scrambling over each other to gift me their mined gems like they were some form of ultimate mystical treasure from an ancient temple.

“You have all done amazing work today all of these gems will soon be just like you and we will all be one big happy family.” I said cheerfully as I rubbed their heads.”But also what caused you to have these hot flashes?” I asked.

Then one of the Citrines deeper in the mine, having not noticed the commotion, shouted out. “YES! I got a really good one! I know if I show my Diamond this I’ll get the chance to enjoy his… personal company~!” This in turn caused all the other miner gems to blush and look away from me, super embarrassed.

I chuckled slightly and the Citrine turn around to see me only to blush as well.”don't worry you will all get you chance soon enough.” I said making them blush even more even peridot was blushing.

After that I went to find Purple Diamond. I wandered the castle for what must have been an hour before I heard crying from outside the room where Black Diamond was.

“Hey Purple you ok?” I asked.

“NO!!!!” Purple screamed.

“She is just confused you know that.” I told her softly. She just turns to me and buries her head in my chest and starts to cry. “It's ok let it out,” I said as she continued to cry and cry and cry, for what felt like a whole day, but was more like an hour, though I was there for her and I pet her head as she cried just like I used to do back on the colony.

“Are you ok now?” I asked.

“*sniff* yea I'm feeling better now, thanks Red you always seem to know when I need comfort.” She said.

“How about we go somewhere? I know a town just outside of the forest filled with people you never seen before?” I asked.

“Sure if you think it will help?” She questioned.

After that I helped her up and we left for ponyville. After making it to the town, I wanted to introduce her to Twilight's so she can tell Celestia there are more Diamonds on this planet, after asking around we found her place and I knocked on the door and the one who opened it was a small green and purple lizard.

“Hello are you here to check out a book?” He asked and I shook my head. 

“No we are here to see Twilight just tell her red is here.” I said and he went inside and Twilight appeared shortly after.

“Hey Red Diamond! How have you been and who is this?” She asked and I smiled.

“I have been fine, this is Purple Diamond, can we come in?” I said, she looked surprised when I said diamond and she looked at her.

“Hi.” Purple said as she waved and Twilight showed us the way in and we sat down in the library section of the house and I asked a question.

“So who answered the door first?” I asked.

“That’s Spike my assistant he is a dragon.” She said.

“I don't think I have heard of dragons what are they?”I asked.

“I have, they are creatures that eat gems.” Purple said with a shiver.

“Yes they eat gems and they walk on two legs until they grow to their full size then they walk on all fours, but don’t worry I know what you are thinking and Spike does not eat sentient gems. I don’t know about others but he won’t.” She said and I was thinking how would I look as a dragon.

“I have met a dragon before and it was huge and was eating hundreds of our kind at a time.” Purple said with visible horror on her face.

“I want to try turning into one.”I said and everyone looked at me.

“YOU CAN DO THAT!” Twilight shouted.

“Yes we are shapeshifters we can change how we look.” I said.

Purple decided to show her and turned into Twilight. “Ta-da” she said in Twilight’s voice.

“Fascinating.” She said she started writing this down and we walked outside to see how I looked at a dragon.

“First I will start out as a full grown one. You ready?”I asked.

“May I try too?” Purple asked.

“Sure if you want you go first.” I said and she stood beside me.

As Purple began to glow she grew in size her arms became claws, she grew wings and two horns, and her gem moved to the base of her throat.

“That’s impressive purple now my turn.” I said as my form turned into energy and grew in size and changed into what I wanted I was now a red dragon and my gem was now hidden among my scales and Twilight was writing everything down. “Now we will change into a younger dragon you go first Purple.” I said.

“Ok, this should be fun.” Purple said as she turned into a purple female dragon with heterochromia and blond hair then I changed back.

“You look nice.” I said as I booped her with my nose and she fell to the ground and I chuckled then I began to change and I was a red and black dragon then I transformed back into myself but I kept the wings and tail I kinda liked them.

“Hey and maybe later you can come by another one of pinkie's party she is throwing one for a griffin maybe you can turn into one of them at the party.” Twilights said with a chuckle.

“Maybe we will?” Purple said. “But what's a griffin look like?”

I thought of something from my human memories. “I think I know.” I said as I continued to change into a griffin.”I believe this is what they look like.” I said and Twilight nodded.

“Come on the part should be starting soon.” She said and we hurried to sugarcube corner and walked inside.”It looks like we're not too late find a place to hid.” She said. And Purple shifted into a griffin also.

As we hid we could hear talking outside we waited several minutes and the door slowly opened and we saw the griffin that this party was for. “SURPRISE.” we all shouted making her fall from the surprise. 

“What's this a dweeb-fest.” The griffon said.

“No it's a party for you,” Purple said cheerfully.

Seeing the two of us she sneered and said “What are you two dweebs doing here?” 

“We have just as much right to be here as you.” I said sneering back at her.

“Yeah i guess but this is a pony town what are two griffins doing here?” The Griffin asked.

“We are griffins but we are not as well we can be whatever we want.” I said as I turned into my young dragon form.

“CHANGELING!!!!” The Griffin yelled and lunged at Purple.

I grabbed her by the Talon and threw her to the floor.”We are not whatever these changelings are we are gems.” I said and my entire body turned into pure fiery energy with my diamond in the center then I reformed into my real self but still kept the wings and tail.

“Well whatever you are let me go you mega-dweeb.” She said and I let her go. “Thank you.”

“Well that’s not nice, I for one think we’re pretty cool.” A voice says and we turn, finding Black Diamond (Note: differences from the image are DD breasts and the pear-shaped gem from before upside-down) standing there with a gentle smile on her face. “After all, I think my ability to control the earth is pretty impressive.” Black diamond and lapis came rushing in after panting she must not have been fast enough to catch up with black.

“I’m sorry my Diamond I was not able to get here first,” she said.

“It's ok all that is important is that you tried,” I said with a smile.

“Mother are you better?” Purple asked hopefully.

“Yes dear, I’m fine,” she said as she patted Purple’s head in what was an affectionate and, to Purple herself, familiar way.

“It is nice to meet you in a better state of mind Black,” I said with a smile and lapis stood at my side. 

“Thank you, and Purple, you forgot someone very important,” Black said as she placed a pearl into her hands.

“PURPLE PEARL! I thought she was shattered?” Purple said puzzled yet happy.

“Well, it is good some of your gems survived,” I said to congratulate Purple.

“What about Lapis and Jasper are they here too? What about my Bismuth?”Purple asked.

Black lowered her head sadly. “I’m sorry, I didn’t find them, not even shards, I think they were taken as prisoners by the Homeworld Diamonds.”

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT MY FRIENDS ANYTHING BUT THAT FOR THEM!!!!” Purple yelled in lamentation.

Black looked so heartbroken to see Purple like that, all she could do was hold her close and try to comfort her. “I’m so sorry my precious little Purple… I know we’ll find them, I promise.”

“How can you say that you know what they do to our gems they brainwash them to serve them.”

“You shouldn't say things like that, there is always hope even I want to think that some of my gems are still out there,” I said and everyone at the party was listening to us but we did not notice. 

“Exactly, and I can just undo it once we-wait, what happened to your Gems?” Black asked.

“I did not let the other diamonds know of my existence. I and my gems lived on a volcanic planet where I was strongest, but all of the diamonds were viewed as warlords and destroyers so the survivors of their conquests spread the word, they and hundreds of other planets formed an alliance and attacked my planet. The war lasted a hundred years before the fight destabilized my planet’s core and it exploded but if I and Purple could survive maybe they could too,” I said as I remembered every moment of that war and magma tears ran down my face. 

“Well, I for one am glad the gems are dead fewer freaks running around.” The Griffin said.

I was enraged and I grabbed her by the throat with my tail and lifted her off the ground.” You have a lot of nerve saying that to me you have no idea the things I have seen I have seen slaughters of innocent people, gems, and others alike and I have seen many planets die from the diamonds conquest how would you feel if the people you thought as family die right on front of you.” I said as I dropped her and she struggled for air.

“You’re a freak among freaks.” The Griffin said.

“Red, that is enough!” Black yelled as I was forced away from the Griffin. “Cruelty should not justify further cruelty, if you want her to see how she is wrong a good step is to not prove you are the monster she claims you to be!” She spoke sternly before walking over to the Griffin. “Are you alright?”

The Griffin just brushed herself off and walked away but not before saying “I'm out of here come on Dash.”

How about next time you talk to Twilight about it before assuming she cares that Trixie is a show-off or that some other performer is claiming she’s the best magician?” She lectured, and Twilight's friends looked down in shame.

She then subtly nudged the crowd away and set the six elements together. “Sorry for being a bit of a mother, but please talk it out now, make sure this miscommunication doesn’t happen again… then when Trixie wakes up, you five are going to apologise for ruining her show, and that goes double for you, Rainbow.” She said as she looked at them with disappointment in her eyes.

“Well i guess that crises is everted what now?” Red asked me.

Turning to mother I put on a huge smile “Mother shall we go talk to Rarity about wedding arrangements and dresses?” I said gleefully.

Purples POV

After the six mares went home we went to Rarity's to plan for the wedding. Once mother and I arrived I knocked on the door.

Rarity opened the door and she said.” Well hello darlings what can I do for you today?” She asked.

“We are getting married and we want you to help make the arrangements and our dresses.” I said.

“Mhm! And I hope you can make something to work with my colour scheme, oh what am I saying? I’m talking to one of the most talented dressmakers in Equestria, I know whatever you make me will be stunning!” Black said giddily.

“Well of course darling just tell me what you want. Where and when is the wedding?” She asked.

Both Black and I looked at each other probably thinking the same thing. ‘We never figured that out what do we tell her.’

“Um… we haven’t got an exact date yet, but we already have a temple built to house the ceremony.” Black said.

“Well I guess that works when do you want to pick up the dresses?” She asked.

“Well we want you to have as much time as you need, so why don’t you just send a letter via… oh! This Ruby!” Black summons up a Ruby. “Just give her a letter to say when you’re done so we can go try them out and you can make the appropriate touch ups.” Black said with a smile.

“That will be fine but they should be ready tomorrow.” She said confidently.

“Sure… oh? Can you make it able to shapeshift?” Black asked and Rarity frowned.

“Well no I do not know any cloth that can change with the wearer.” Rarity said.

“I will get your dresses started.” Rarity said as she went to the back and started working. Black and I left her to her work and headed outside. Once there we both grew wings and flew back to the mountain.

“Purple, Black you’re already back I thought it would take you two longer.” Red said as he walked outside to greet us.

“Well we got things done really quick.” I said.

“We’re getting Wedding Dresses!” Black yelled with excitement.

Red grinned. ”Oh really? can't wait to see you in them and I can't wait to take them off you.” He said and his tail began to sway side to side.

“Or maybe you could have us keep them on~.” Black said.

“What are you thinking about?” Red asked still keeping his grin.

“Well we have ways of cleaning the dresses, so what about making them nice and dirty during our honeymoon~?”

“I think I can do that but that is for another time, for now maybe we should move into the same room, what do you think Purple?” Red asked.

Upon hearing that I turned plum again and hid behind my hair.

Black broke out of her statue and then took on a deadpan expression. “She’s White Diamond, it is very hard for you to not pick her out of a crowd, she’s the only truly white gem to speak of.” She then took a deep breath. “But to help, she’s about this big.” And then she began to grow until she we were only around as tall as her shins. “And me and her can get to this size casually when we’re not being constantly fed magic from the very air. She’s never shrunk down to anything smaller.” Black said and red did not look impressed.

“I can grow that size too but it was really annoying how long it took to make rooms for someone that size.”

“I'm trying to give you a way to possibly save your gems so can you listen.” He said nearly shouting.

“The key is our aura they can not only act as a field of effect but a shield if used correctly. and if we infuse your aura into a gem you can shield their minds as well I have been testing it with promising results but it is not perfect yet.” He said.

“Red… that wouldn’t work, I don’t have an aura, and my powers can’t protect against the control… Purple, honey, I think you need to hear this, but it wasn’t White, Yellow or Blue that shattered me.”

“I knew it, something was off about your shattering just tell us already.” I said.

“Tell us what?” Red asked.

“Because they were my weapon of choice in the situation.” She displayed an image of her on her knees before the three Diamonds then the Black in the image’s eyes widen as she struggles to stand, a white coloring slowly creeping up her body. “White never challenged me with the others just to shatter me, she knew my powers could ensure perfect generations of gems, and re-energize worlds that had been rendered useless by untold numbers of Kindergartens. But there was something she didn’t account for, while I couldn’t fight off her power, neither could she fight off mine, at least in one aspect.” White and the Diamonds to her side grew surprised as their arms all raised in unison, and White’s own eyes widened as she saw the steely determination in Black’s. “If I was dominated, the gems that served under me would follow in their attempts to ‘cure’ me, reducing them to her slaves, I couldn’t allow that to happen, so I made sure she couldn’t have what she wanted.” The beams shot out from the Diamonds’ hands, and right through Black’s gem, a weak smirk of defiance on her face towards White before her form fizzled away. “From what I could gather, White was left frustrated and left with Yellow and Blue back to homeworld, leaving my shards behind for my Gems to clean up.” The display shut down. “Red, you may be one of the most powerful Gems I know, but even as a Diamond you are just that, a Gem, and a Gem can’t fight White Diamond without ending up dominated.”

“Well then I guess she will be after both of us won't she? my power does not need a planet to bring gems to life.” Red said.

“You still need to get the gems somewhere, but yes… I just wanted to ensure that you knew to run if White came here, we can’t fight her…” Black said with tears in her eyes… but then she looks up. “But I know who can!”

“Who?” Red asked.

“In fact, we know a whole race of beings that aren’t gems that’d be willing to protect us if we asked.”

“The ponies, well that is true, but they don't stand a chance against light cannons and other weapons, but I will start making a stockpile of magma golems. They may be useful in the near future.” Red said.

“Actually they’re more powerful than you’d think, Earth Ponies have immense rock-smashing strength that could frighten any gem, Pegasi that can command bolts of lightning, and Unicorns with physiology designed to manipulate the very energy our bodies are made of, a moderate Unicorn mage could use a gem’s own magical energy against them, having said energy be used to feed a spell.” Black explained.

“That maybe be true but I don't see the harm of having a stockpile of golems on hand incase we need them.” Red said.

“They better be independent.” Black stated.

“They are but I can also take control and see through them, all I have to do is give an order and they will carry it out, I am also working on improving them.” Red explained.

“Wow I can only do that with Dragon Blood Jasper.” I said impressed.

“You can only do what with her?” Red asked me.

“See through her eyes, it’s a side-effect of something Black did when creating her.” I said now in lecture mode.

“Well my golems are basically a extension of myself they are all connected whatever one sees they see including me and they can make their own tactics and attack accordingly.” Red explained about his golems and in his own lecture mode.

“Jasper is a unique gem in that she has had two diamonds willingly.” I said.

“I really need a unique gem of my own it could be helpful and I just had a thought.” Red said to to us.

“If we are constantly gathering magic what about our gems what is going to happen to them if they keep gathering magic?” Red asked worried.

“Probably nothing because Jasper is just fine.” I said.

“Maybe… they evolve?” Black suggested.

“Like the magic starts infusing their very gems, making them turn into higher quality or evolved versions of themselves? Like maybe Red’s Rubies evolve into Fire Rubies?” Black said.

“No I just checked they are normal but maybe their children will be more powerful and why haven't I evolved like you say they did?” Red asked.

“Um… we’re Diamonds? There’s no higher level of a Diamond.”

“Well I guess we will see in time.” Red said.

“Well I for one think they are perfectly fine the way they are.” I declared.

“I think they are perfect too, and you know that but some time changes are needed to survive.” Red told me as he looked at his gem.

“Besides, it’s not like they’ll be changing their personalities!” Black stated.

“I can't see it being a good thing.” I said.

“Well we can't stop evolution it is part of life and we are no exception to that.” Red said.

“And who knows, maybe we’ll evolve to something that could… overpower White’s control! Guys, maybe if we can have the evolution make our Gem bodies more material, like maybe being half-golem, we’d have too much ‘meat’ in the way of White’s light-based domination!” Black said with hope.

“Well if we do evolve, it is likely I will be first with my gem unable to filter out magic constantly, it could push my gems evolution faster than others.” Red said as he rubbed his chin.

“Are you alright?” I asked worried.

“Maybe you should give me some alone time with your pearl, make her see that with me as your spouse, she’d be getting a lot of my attention too~.” Mother said seductively.
