"Ooooooooooh...What a strange dream." said the woken up mare, living in her book tower. She once had better nights and days than this. At least she thinks so.
Moments of silence passed by her. She figured being wrong about her past days just brings home her dilemma. She's not so sure what she studied recently. She only knows everything changed when she read a book from A.K. Yearling. Stories of Daring Do was teased at the time.
It is the thought of a lone pony going out on adventures that shaped her life. She would describe her better time as her time spent studying magic. Yet she can't imagine ever being good enough to hatch a dragon egg, much less when she's a filly who was struggling with the most easiest magic in Equestria.
She never knew where she did get that sudden burst of magic. Only that studying is not where it came from. From all of this, she figured studying was never her thing.
Maybe that's why she keeps trying to make some friends here. Well that trying isn't working so well either. She finds herself reading books for her own entertainment more and more often. Maybe that dream is telling her something oh wait her dreams are more and more like a strange fantasy much like her more recent studies. "This place isn't working for me. I want to be somewhere else."
She got out of her bed and takes her casual walk in her tower until she reached the living room of her tower. "Good thing I learned of the mare in the moon. Knowing her, she'll send me there over stuff like that because friendship. …So that's why this place isn't working for me. Ok, she is definitely worried about me now. Sorry Princess, it's just Canterlot."
If friendship is what The Princess wants from her, she will bring The Princess all the reasons to send her elsewhere, while reserving studying for only that purpose like she always does, and just not study at all in order to friendship because that's what good the books do these days. After realizing she wasted her time with books, she may as well hang out with friends.
"Let's go Spike. Time for some fresh air. And bring that note to The Princess with you." She notice something on Spike's claws and asked about it. "What's that for?" "It's a gift for Moondancer." said Spike.
They're walking outside while they converse. "Spike, why do I feel I'm still inside?" asked Twilight. "It's been months since the last time you went outside. Give it some time." "...I'll just live outside. That is all the time I can give."
Silence. Spike never heard of living outside before. He's not sure what to tell Twilight. He didn't realize his silence told her something. "...Ok, I'll sleep outside too." said Twilight. Spike takes a guess. "You mean...being cooped up outside the same way you were cooped up inside?"
Silence. "Are...are you ok Twilight?" asked Spike. "*sigh* No. Instead of making use of studying, it became my way of fantasizing for my entertainment. I guess I'm not ever interested in studies." "Aw come on Twilight. No pony knows magic even half as much as you do." "No thanks to studying." "But isn't that how you hatched a dragon egg?" "No. That is exactly how I didn't hatch it. When I stopped relying on books and schools to cast magic, such as when I was shocked by that shockwave, my magic got out of control and hatched a dragon egg, just because that's how much my magic was being held back thanks to book and school studying. ...*time passed*... You were right all along Spike, I need to stay outside." "I...never thought of magic that way... but The Princess was teaching you magic since then. There's no way any pony knows more magic than you." "That's just it Spike. It is friendship that focus my magic, not studies. It is what she has been trying to teach me since I began being her student. Unfortunately, studying didn't do the job, and it kept me inside for too long."
Some long time has passed before Spike has an idea. "Hey Twilight." "Yes Spike." "You wanna come to Moondancer's party with me?" "Ok." And so, the duo walk to Moondancer's party. Good thing Twinkle Shine told them its location.
"Hi Moondancer." greeted Twilight with a smile. "Oh hi Twilight. It's rather early, but I'll let you have some food." said Moonlight. "It's all right. Other ponies need food no matter where they are. Also a lot of ponies are coming from the looks of it." said Twilight. "It's just us five." said Moonlight. "Why this much food for five ponies?" asked Twilight, surprised that five ponies are expected to eat all the food surrounding the party by a meter radius. "Well, not everypony eats the same amount of food." said Moonlight.
Twilight feels a loud growling noise all over inside her belly, and of course they hear that loud growling noise. "*giggles* I know you must be very hungry from walking all over Canterlot for days, so I made sure to bring plenty of food for you." said Moonlight. All of this food is for Twilight to eat. "Oh...Oh well. It's better than staying inside and dreaming unfriendly stories all day...so...*hugs Moondancer* thank you." said Twilight. Moondancer didn't realize how much she wanted to hear that...until now.
Colgate, Twinkle Shine, and Lemon Hearts finally found Twilight Sparkle, or so they thought. "There you are Twilight! Moondancer is having a little get together in the west castle cortyard. You wanna come?" said and asked Twinkle Shine. "Thank you so much for coming." said Moondancer.
The mane three finally relized they're in Moondancer's little get together called Moondancer's party. They also notice something off about who they once thought is Twilight. She is taller, but only because she is laying on a big purple ball taller than her legs. They then see the ball grow bigger. Then they see a lot of food surrounding the party by a mile radius, and this purple unicorn eating much more than Twilight.
The ball keeps growing bigger, because she keeps eating food. They finally see that the growing big purple ball is her belly, spreading far and wide like the food surrounding the party. The mane three are oblivious to their surroundings no more. "Hey Moondancer. Look at the spread huh?" said and asked Colgate. Moondancer can only laugh nervously.
