> Turning Into a Female Bat Pony > by Discord The Narrator > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Where it all started > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Manteo, North Carolina. It was just another day, and the sunlight was bathing every single street of the small town. Everyone spent the time as they wanted, like taking a walk, going with their dogs, talking with another people while their kids had fun at the park, etc. Earlier, they had prepared their sunglasses because the news mentioned that there was going to be an eclipse at the town. So, obviously, they needed to be ready, because nobody would like to be blind thanks to some eclipse, no matter how strong it was. Over all of those people, there was Jimmy. Right now, he was inside his home, watching some movie on the TV. He knew about the eclipse, but he was simply spending time until the great moment arrived. As he watched the movie, Jimmy thought he heard something, stopping the movie and looking around him. After making sure nothing was there, he got calm. "Thank God it was nothing." He said, as he continued watching the movie. In fact, the sound had came from his bedroom. A book had fallen from the shelf. And it was a book about the world of vampires. An hour later, after the movie had finished, Jimmy stood up and checked his clock. It was almost the time for the eclipse. Jimmy looked through the window, seeing the Sun about to be covered by the Moon. "Wow! I think that's what happened when Princess Luna turned into Nightmare Moon." Jimmy said, remembering that moment on the series. Just then, he shuddered. If that did happen on the show, he doubted he was ready to meet Nightmare Moon for real. "I'm not sure how I would exactly react to her. But anyways, time to see the eclipse!" He said, grabbing a pair of sunglasses and the keys for home. Before going outside, however, he stopped by his bedroom to see if everything was ok. He felt surprised when he saw the book on the floor, and he stared at it. After a few seconds, he shook his head. It was just a book, and it had dropped off the shelf. Like that was the first time that happened. He got the book from the floor, closing it before leaving it back on its place. And then, he made nothing else before finally going outside, as the book started glowing. The rest of people at the town were out as well, although a few of them were still getting out of their homes, but there was no problem with that: everyone would end up seeing the eclipse. Jimmy looked at it: the Moon was about to cover the Sun. It was such a rare event in life, but it was also a wonderful thing to see. And, for someone like Jimmy, an eclipse could mean a lot of things. Of course, he didn't believe that Nightmare Moon could be able to attack his town, but that's another story. Jimmy put his sunglasses on as he stared at the sky. Sun and Moon, two powerful beings, coming together to form one entity. "I still can't believe it! It's been years since the last one! A lot of them!" Jimmy was freaking out, as he was feeling really excited. And then, the moment came: the eclipse was fully present on the sky, and anyone who was looking at it ended up sharing their amazement with the rest of people. An astonished Jimmy stared with his mouth agape. "It's simply beautiful..." Inside his mind, a familiar voice could be heard. "Don't leave your mouth open for too long." Jimmy closed his mouth just a few seconds later, laughing a bit because of what had happened. "Heh, ok then!" After a few minutes, the eclipse started to disappear as the Sun and Moon separated again, getting ready for accomplishing their own tasks. Everyone at the town also went back to their normal life, although they had been able to take a lot of photos of the eclipse, photos that they would probably keep as a nice reminder. Even Jimmy took a photo, and he looked at it as a smile was formed on his face and a single tear went out of his right eye. And then, he walked back home for spending the rest of the day there. Nighttime had arrived, and Jimmy got prepared. After having something good for dinner, he changed into his pajamas, brushed his teeth and prepared his bed, accomodating it so he could sleep in a comfortable way. He slipped between the covers, which gave him a warm hug, as he liked. Looking around, he saw everything was on its place, so he had nothing to worry about. "Ah, this has been such a good day." He said, right before closing his eyes. Two hours had passed, and Jimmy woke up. He had a confused expression on his face as he looked around. "Huh... Technically, I'm supposed to be sleeping right now, but... I don't feel tired." He thought, scratching his head. "Well, I guess I could try to make myself feel tired." Jimmy stood up and wandered around his own house as he spent some time doing things so he could be tired enough for sleeping. Cleaning the dishes, watching something on the TV, practicing some football with a ball he had, making some exercise, reading, and more... When he was finally sure he was tired, he went back to his room, slipping between the covers once more. "Well, It has taken a bit long, but I think I'll be able to sleep this time." He said, closing his eyes. Jimmy, however, had failed to notice a few things. For starters, the Sun would appear very soon, as he had spent a lot hours being busy. Also, the aforementioned book was glowing again. The one which had dropped before. Jimmy kept sleeping as those things happened. Oh, and there was also another issue he hadn't noticed. A small issue, but it would change his life. His hair was turning black and red... > A few changes > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next day, Jimmy woke up feeling strange. He felt like that since last night, although he managed to sleep like nothing happened. "Well... another day, another nay," he said, laughing at his own pun. He got his T-Shirt off as he prepared for having a nice shower. Entering the bathroom, he looked at the mirror... "GAAAH!! What is that!?" ...and saw a guy there, with half of his face being different. Jimmy took a minute to notice that guy was him. He carefully examined his head: the left half of the face was as black as coal, and it looked like his nose got somewhat bigger. Also, his left eye was colored in red. The other side of the face was normal, like it always had been. The only things which affected the entire head were the new colors of his hair. As he wasn't wearing anything over his upper body, he also saw a few things which looked like black spots. Assuming they could be cleaned, he tried to do that, finally giving up. "Uh... I'll just have my shower." A while later, Jimmy got dressed and cooked himself something for breakfast, trying to ignore the current issues he was having. A good ration of pancakes with syrup was such a nice meal for him. After that, he thought it was time to buy more food. However, just before opening the main door, he realized something: how was he going to do anything outside when people would most likely not admire his new look? Going back to the bedroom, he rummaged inside the closet, finding a hoodie. With a smile, he put it on, covering his hair and the upper half of his face with the hood. "Better than nothing, I guess. And now, time to go out!" After walking across the streets while getting a few looks from confused people, Jimmy finally arrived at the shopping center. He chuckled while seeing little children running around and playing games, bought a few sweets and passed by a store showcase which had toys, from construction sets to animal plushies. Jimmy swore one of the smiling pink pony plushies just looked at him, but he continued walking. Half an hour later, he was carrying some bags with food, including fruit and pasta. After arriving at the checkout counters, he chose one of them and paid everything he bought before finally leaving the shopping center. "Home sweet home! Honestly, I thought it would be worse, but thank heavens nothing happened," Jimmy said as he stepped inside his house. He left the bags at the kitchen and turned on the TV, noticing there was a program putting fun videos of people having problems with animals, which made him laugh. Then, he went to his bedroom for changing into his pajamas, and saw the vampire book had fallen again, groaning as he put it back on its place. Just then, he remembered something. "Did that plush really look at me?"
