Family Disclosure Protocol

There is a saying popular among some of the old guard. "We died in the dark, so you may live in the light." At a certain level, for Foundation personnel this is true. However, we do not necessarily need to enter the dark without support...

Family Disclosure Protocol: Revision 90

Jeremiah Cimmerian, Phillip Foster, Jeffery Jacobs, Green Spoon, Moondancer

Abstract: Humans and Ponies, by our very nature, are social creatures. We gather, we find partners, and we form families. This is no less true for members of the Foundation than it is for any other group. Unfortunately, due to the nature of our work, such relationships create the potentials for massive breaches of security, and in several cases, have required the use of amnestics. By granting the loved ones of specific Foundation personnel a special class of Level 0 clearance, not only does one decrease what could be considered a potential security breach, but also reduces amnestic use, and in many cases, helps alleviate the stress and physical/mental strain constant deception of loved ones has upon Foundation personnel…

Twilight has been working for the Foundation for several years now, ever since she rose to become Celestia's personal student and turned 18, she has been working with the Foundation.
But now, after all the adventures she and her friends and family and gone through, all the tears and laughs, they still do not know of her affliction with the Foundation, or that the Foundation even existed.

After witnessing how Dr. Deep Study's daughter denounced her father as a workaholic who never pays attention to her and loves working more than her, even though he died preventing a ZK-End-of-Reality Scenario, Twilight has decided it was time to activate FD90, and reveal to her freinds and family...what she does in the dark.

"But when you get down to it, Deep Study was more than a damn good researcher, he was a friend, a father, and a stallion willing to face hell and high water, to save it all,"

Researcher Twilight Sparkle looked around the crowd at all the faces currently lost in thought. She stood in front of a pre-dug hole and the crowd stood in a semi-circle around it.

In the hole was a casket with the body of Deep Study inside, one of Site-184's many researchers. The casket was simple with hardly any features except for Deep Study's name engraved on it.

Twilight recognized most of the faces in the crowd. In front was Deep Study's Son, Grey Tools, and his grandson, Wishful Dreams. Several current and former Site Directors, including Site-184's Director, Edward Delo. She could also see other Foundation personnel who were of different species including Edward, there was Reseacher Alexander & Eric, Accountant Lividia, and other old acquaintances of Deep Study.

"We all are going to miss you Deep," Twilight finished, tears forming in her eyes, "And you can finally have that rest, you always deserved,"

And with that Deep Study's casket was covered in dirt, and Grey planted a sapling on top of it.

Deep Study, has finally been put to rest.

"That was a good speech there, yer highness," commented Grey, "You Really got my pap's personality all in one go,"

"Oh, you're too kind," Twilight replied, "I just said what I got from being a friend to him over all these years"

The People who attended the funeral gathered around in small clusters, every now and then a small chuckle will break the silence and disappear just as quick as it came.

"But still, I couldn't believe he died stopping a ZK," said Eric, while holding a cup of punch, "and he managed to survive everything what SCP-3999 could have thrown a him,"

"But we still do not what SCP-3999 is," piped Jason, "All the guards suffered major memory loss, and all the they found was Deep's body,"

"Still though," said Twilight, trying to change the subject, "He was a damn good researcher, working day and night hard at trying to figure out how these anomolies work, you must proud of you dad Grey,"

"Yes, yes i am," replied Grey, his ears drooping.

"Grey, you okay?" Asked Twilight,

"I am, it just..." Grey took a breath before continuing, "Stargale isn't,"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, Stargale doesn't know what my and her pap did, all she knew was he went out to work at dawn and came back at midnight, she always had the thought that pap was a workaholic who didn't care about us, pap tired several times to reach out to her, but apparently it was too late.
SCP-3999 got him,"

Grey's eyes were unfocused as if he was remebering a time long gone or imagining how different things would be if Stargale had known about what his dad did for a living.

"I...I wish she was here, she would have heard everything what pa did...so she could have known that Pa wasn't a workaholic...b-but a tru-" Twilight pulled Grey into hug,

"It's ok, Grey, it's ok. The past has already happened, there is no time to grieve over mistakes, but there is time to learn from them,"

Grey looked back up to Twilight, wiping away tears.

"Thanks...Tw-Yer Highness," said Grey.

"Your welcome Grey, next time, call me Twilight," replied Twilight.

---SCP---

...Mleocunese Forces have stormed Parliment several hours ago, stating that the current government was too incompt-

Twilight turned off the TV and laid back unto her sofa. The Foundation gives each of its many personnel personal chambers for a place to stay when they were either working on long term projects or decided just to live in the Site they were working or simply didn't have a permanent home. Twilight was the second case.

Her room had a flat screen TV in a corner with a sofa facing it, a decent sized bed and a desk where she worked on the reports. And of course, a bookshelf filled to the brim with books. Some of the books were memoirs from senior or former Foundation Personnel, some enclypodeias, history books, and several novels.

Twilight levitated a book titled 'How to Survive When Reality Doesn't" back to its original place on the shelf, and slumped back into her seat.

Ever since the funeral, her thoughts have been on how Grey was so distraught over Stargale not knowing of her father's true work. And she wondered wherter or not her friends were to have the same type of reaction if she were to either die from a deadly new anomolous pathogen, containment breach, or just get shot by some random GOI operative. Then after her death, the Foundation will probably, no, will delay news of her death to her family and friends, and probably fabricated evidence to say she was assainated by some psycho.

Twilight thought about how her beloved ones will feel, they'll all feel that it came out of nowhere, and they might also realize that the facts given to them by Foundation operatives don't match up, and sooner or later they might find out the truth and realize that she'be been lying to them throughout most of her life! AND THEY WILL PROBABLY DISGUSTED BY HER ACTIONS AND THEY WILL WANT TO TAKE OUT THE FOUNDATION AFTER THEY REALIZE WHAT TYPE OF THINGS THEY DO AND THEN-

"Hey keep it down will ya!?" Shouted somebody from the dorm next door.

"Sorry!" Responded Twilight, albeit a bit sheepishly

Twilight used the breathing method that Cadence thaught to clam herself down. So if she didn't tell them, they might think she's a liar and hunt the Foundation down for its crimes.

Not really the best outcome isn't it?

Twilight went over to her desk and pulled a drawer opened, she took a card with the name of the Site's residental Ethics Committee liaison out along with her keycard, and with that she left her dorm in search of one Dr. Campbell.

Chapter the Ethics

View Online

Music was playing in Dr Campbell's office as she laid back and nursed her cup of coffee. It had been a busy day with her constantly going over several papers on the approval of several experiments in Site-184.

She was a pale woman with short curly blonde hair, and being an Ethics Committee Liasion means establishing and watching "The Line The Foundation Shall Not Cross", and that entitles her to monitor all Foundation activity in the site they were assigned to and decide wherter or not that action committed by a personnel was ethical or not, and due to the nature of the Foundation, a simple D-Class being tested on could be decided as ethical while keeping lots of them in a hole rotting is probably not.

Dr. Campbell took a sip of her coffee as somebody knocked on her door.

"Come in!" Shouted the Liasion, and one of the Foundation's most valuable researchers entered.

Reseacher Twilight Sparkle.

Dr. Campbell put her cup of joe down and motioned for Twilight to sit down. From her observations, Twilight wanted to do something, but didn't know wherter to do it or not. Being in the Ethics Committee for several decades let you know these types of things.

"So what brings you here?" Asked Dr.Campbell.

Twilight sighed and slumped into her seat, "Doc, I have a problem on mind,"

It wasn't unusual for Twilight to enter her office and ask for advice on everyday things to Foundation research projects, and every now and then they have a cup of tea together and discuss what had happened during their stay in the Foundation.

"What's your problem then?"

Twilight fidgeted in her seat, "Well, you know of Deep Study's funeral right?"

The doctor nodded and motioned for Twilight to continue, already knowing where this conversation might go.

"W-well Grey told me that Stargale didn't know of Deep's real job and so she denounced him and never contacted them again,"

"And?" Asked Campbell while raising an eyebrow.

"After seeing I, I don't want that to happen to me, I want to activate FD90 on my friends and family," said Twilight

Dr Campbell sat there in thought with her eyes shut, thinking about the potential backlash that could happen if Twilight activated FD90.

First of all, her friends, the Elements of Harmony, and all the other ones she met the throughout her many adventures, if she were to tell them, the possibility of them being in shock of Twilight lying to them for the course of their entire friendship might end it, but if she tagged along and explained to them about Twilight's job, it might not end so badly.

Secondly, her family. Ever since Twilight's brother married to Pretty Pink Princess, she's also related to Princess Celestia, and then Luna. The backlash from her parents could be them going into shock becuase Twilight does "unethical" things in the Foundation, and from royalty, they might be shocked that Twilight had another job, that she hid it from them, and that she probably committed many unethical things while in the Foundation. The only way Dr. Campbell saw to soften the backlash was for her to tag along with Twilight and explained everything, and maybe bring a Safe SCP along to show that she wasn't lying.

"Doc?"

Twilight's question snapped Dr. Campbell out o her thoughts, she looked at Twilight to see her with a worried look on her friend's face.

"What is it?" Asked Campbell

"Sorry, it's just that you were unresponsive for about, ten minutes I say," replied Twilight.

"I was just thinking, and don't you also do that?"

Twilight blushed a bit from the doctor's comment, "So... Can I activate FD90 on my friends and family?"

Dr. Campbell took a sip from cup of her coffee before delivering her answer, "Well, you can activate FD90 that's for sure, you just need to-" Dr. Campbell opened one of her drawers and pulled out a stack of paper, "-fill in all of these FD90 forms, return them to me for authorization, and then, when you want to reveal to them, I'm going to tag along-"

"Why?" Interrupted Twilight.

"-So I can explain to your friends what you do here in the Foundation, what the Foundation does, and also to hopefully soften the backlash that could happen from you reveling to them out of the blue," Dr. Campbell stopped to open another drawer and took out a canister and tossed it over to Twilight who grabbed it with her telekinesis, "and you might need this Class-A Amnestic just in case things go south when you are revealing to them about your secret job."

"Thanks again Doctor," said Twilight as she got up and took the forms on Campbell's table.

As she headed for the exit, Campbell called out once more to Twilight who promptly turned around.

"Don't forget Twilight, Godspeed Twilight, Godspeed," said Campbell.

Twilight looked over her forms and turned back to Campbell and said "Here goes nothing I guess,"

With that Twilight left the Ethics Commitee Liasion's office to go and fill out her forms and reveal to her friends and family about what she does in the dark.

Dr. Campbell slumped back into her seat and took a sip from her cup of coffee, "Now, hopefully Twilight's friends don't panic and run for the hills, anf hopefully Celestia doesn't go full on ham with the Foundation for what we have done here,"

Campbell looked to the pile of propositions on the side of her desk, she sighed and pulled one over, and immediately she tossed it into the trash bin, she took the next one and then threw into the trash bin.

"Doctor?" Campbell looked up to see the Site Director enter her office.

"Yes?"

Chapter the Friends (Part 1)

Twilight sat on her throne fidgeting.
This was the day.
The day she revealed to her friends about what she does in the dark.

Earlier she had invited them to gather at the throne room of friendship powahhhh (named appropriately by Rainbow Dash), as she told them she wanted to tell them something big, huge.

That was a couple of hours ago. Now she was simply waiting for them.

The sound of a door opening and the sound of faint chatting in the distance interrupted Twilight's thoughts, she looked up to see her friends entering the Throne Room, and as they entered, Applejack was first one to speak up.

"Hey Twi, wha-"

Before being interrupted by Rainbow Dash.

"Twi, can you tell us why did you decided to interrupt my amazing flight practice?" Asked Rainbow Dash while flying around the Throne Room before settling unto her throne seat thing.

Twilight looked around the throne room at all her friends seated around the Friendship Map (of detecting ponies who don't want to have friends), and sighed.

Twilight casted a spell on the room to make sure no evasdropper would hear on their conversation.

"Dear, why are you casting a spell?" Asked Rarity

It is a known fact that unicorns could detect another unicorn casting a spell, as when an unicorn casts a spell, the thamuthergic, you know what, that's too technical, in layman terms, when an unicorn casts a spell, they suck the magic juice in the air and use it to cast their spell, some ponies, like Twilight, could take in more magic juice to power more magic consuming spells. But when you take magic juice from the air, you create a vacuum where the magic juice was earlier, causing magic juice to flow to lower magic juice areas, and other unicorns could feel this, hence why Rarity knows that Twilight is casting a spell.

"Becuase what I'm about to tell you cannot leave this room," replied Twilight.

"And what is this thing you are about to tell us that is soooooo important you had to cast a spell in this room?" Asked Rainbow, a bit irritated due to her flight practices being interrupted.

"Be-Becuase," Twilight stuttered, "Becuase..."

"C''mon spit out, Sugarcube, " said Applejack. "We're yer friends, you could tell us anything!"

"Yeah Twilight! We'll Pinkie Promise if you want us to!" Cheered Pinkie Pie, ever so cheerful, thought Twilight.

"D-don't worry Twilight, we'll always be here for you..." Said Fluttershy.

Twilight smiled at her friends support for her, she looked around once more before continuing,

"Girls, we've known each other for over three years now, right?"

"Well duh, egghead," said Rainbow, "shouldn't you know this? Since your the one who pays attention to calendars and stuff?"

"Right, Rainbow, now I'm gonna tell you all a secret," said Twilight, " a secret so big, you must do the Pinkie Promise,"

After doing the Pinkie Promise, with Pinkie reminding them that breaking it would mean losing a friend "FORRRRRRRRREEEEEEVVVEEERRRRR!", right thank you Pinkie. Twilight continued,

"Well, the secret I wanted to tell you is this," Twilight levitated her Foundation Identification Card unto the table so everypony could see it.

On the left side of the card was her photo, with her respective title on it,

SENIOR RESEACHER, LEVEL-3 CLEARANCE

The SCPF logo sitting proudly on it, clear for all who want to see.

"Is this it?" Asked Rainbow Dash, "you called us all here, just for this?!"

"Now clam down Sugarcube," said Applejack, restraining Rainbow to her seat with her lasso, "there is more to this, isn't there Twi?"

"Yes AJ, other than being Princess, ever since I was 18, I've been working for an underground organization which job is to protect the world from scary monsters that don't abide to the laws of nature or magic," said Twilight, "and-"

"So, what you're telling me is, you're working for some secret service that contains monsters? Sounds like a joke to me really dear," said Rarity.

"Yeah! I mean, why would you ever work for such an organization, we deal with meanies every episode!" Said Pinkie.

"Sugarcube, if this is a joke, I don't really see where the funny part is," added Applejack,

"I mean, if this was to prank us, then it's a pretty lame prank Twi," said Rainbow.

"Well, I knew you guys would say that," said Twilight, "that's why I brought a pet over,"

"Really a pet Twi?" Said Rainbow, "How could a pet..."

Rainbow's comment was derailed to moment she saw a cat appear from behind Twilight's throne, nothing out of the ordinary could be seen on the cat except the fact that the back half of the cat was gone.

Twilight levitated the cat unto the throne so that everypony could see it. After several moments of silence, Fluttershy was the first one to speak up.

"Umm, is it ok?" Asked Fluttershy, "I mean, half of the cat's body is gone!"

"Don't worry about it, Joise's quite fine really," replied Twilight, "plus she doesn't bite,"

'Joise' walked over to Fluttershy, who cautiously petted the cat. After that Rarity spoke up.

"How, is that possible exactly dear?" Asked Rarity, " I mean, half of its body's gone and I may not know much of cat anatomy but surely it should be dead!"

"Yes, it should be dead, but it's not. We did every test and it's still alive, just don't touch the back part of it or she'll scratch you,"

Pinkie placed her hoof on where the cat's tail should be but found that there was nothing to be touched behind the cat.

"It must be sad for the cat to not have a back half, I mean I'll be sad, since I can't see my cutie mark, then I would have never ever tried party planning or-"

Pinkie was cut off by Applejack shoving her hoof into her mouth.

"So, this ain't a prank?" Asked Applejack.

"No, no it isn't," said Twilight, "and this isn't even to weridest thing we have contained,"

"Wait, so there are more cute animals like this?" Asked Fluttershy,

"Ehh...probably, i don't have clearance to the entire database, but I'm pretty sure there are more, but there are more scary things than cute,"

"What do you mean Twi?"

Twilight began sweating.

"W-well, you see, we...the Foundation, that's the name of the organization I work for by the way, we contain things and creatures that don't abide to the laws of nature and magic, and well... most of them are terrifying, weird and want to kill you," Twilight took a moment to observe the faces of her friends.

Fluttershy was now hiding in her mane, Rarity's face had turned to shock and was on the verge of fainting, Rainbow was... Unidentifiable, Applejack was worried and Pinkie's face was of thought, as if she was recalling a memory.

Twilight coughed before continuing, " Other than that, we have plain weird things we never understood, like Joise here, and a key that could open every door-"

"Cool!" Interrupted Rainbow, "then I could sneak into Aj's barn and prank her more!" Rainbow then proceeded to rub her hooves together like a villain.

Applejack thought in horror of what Rainbow could do with that kind of power before Twilight continued, "Yeah...no, SCP-005 is not to be used for opening any doors for pranking Rainbow. And-"

Before Twilight could continue, Rainbow interrupted her once more, "Wait, why did you call that awesome key SCP-005, is that some sort way for you o sort through things?"

"Yes, Rainbow, it stands for Secure Containment Procedures, and every SCP has its own containment procedures, we rank them from Safe up to Apollyon. Safe means it can be easily contained, like, putting it in a box and locking it, after that it's Euclid, which means it's like trying to keep you in a room, where you actively try to escape and we have to keep an eye on you to prevent you from escaping. Then Keter which means it's very hard to contain, and Apollyon which means it cannot be contained, and you should start running, and not look back,"

Silence enveloped the Throne Room after Twilight finished her explaination, after a few moments, Applejack spoke up.

"Uhh...Sugarcube, how much of t'ose SCPs exist?"

"Yeah...how much dear... I mean, you've worked with them for over several years now, I mean, how much of this...things exist?" Quipped Rarity.

Twilight closed her eyes in thought, after several minutes she spoke up again, "From my experience, I can guarantee you 158 SCPs exist since I've met and saw them in person before, but there are others, from conservative estimates ranging around a thousand to four thousand, do absurd estimates going up to tens of thousands,"

"So...there could be thousands of things that are unexplainable running around?" Asked Fluttershy, who was still petting Joise.

"Yes, and before I was rudely interrupted," Twilight shot Rainbow a glare, "other than a key that could open doors, there many, many other things out there that want to kill you, some things I could tell you are like SCP-173, a monster which could only move when you blink, and before you say anything Rainbow, when you try not blinking for two minutes and running from this thing, you cannot just punch it, since it's made of stone, and if it gets you, it breaks your neck. Then there's SCP-914 which is just a machine that if you put something it, set it to one of five options, it will either break the thing apart, replace it, or upgrade it. And Rarity don't try finding a way to let you in there so you could upgrade your dresses Becuase last time we tried that, it almost killed us,"

Twilight stopped to see most of her friends have understood what things she had done in the Foundation, she thanked Campbell for her advice of not mentioning the D-Classes.

"Now, since I've told you of my job, you are all Level-0 Personnel, a type of personnel who knows the Foundation and what it does, what role I do in it, and that's it, and-"

"Wait, wait, wait," interrupted Rainbow, "why can we only know that much, I mean you already told us some of those SCPs, but why cant you tell us all of them?"

"I think that's my job to tell you why," said a voice from a door.

Everypony in the room turned to the direction of the new voice.

There at the doors to the Friendship Throne RoomTm was Starlight Glimmer, Twilight's Student, leaning on the door way and Spike standing next to her.

"Starlight?"

"Spike?"

Those were the questions uttered by Twilight's friends as they were expecting some pony they didn't know to utter that sentence.

"So, you're finally FD-90ing them eh, Twi?" Asked Spike as he and Starlight trotted over to Twilight's side.

"Yes, Spike," said Twilight while levitating over Spike's mini throne, and a stool for Starlight. "I'm following Campbell's advice on FD-90ing em" now then later,"

"Ah, good o'l Campbell," said Starlight, "Haven't seen her in a while, I should pay her a visit,"

"Uhh... I'm afraid to interrupt your nostalgia, but, Twilight dear, could you explain what Starlight and Spike are talking about?" Asked Rarity.

"Oh, sorry," replied Twilight, " You see, Starlight and Spike here both work for the same organization as me, and-"

And like before, Rainbow Dash, the ever brash Pegasus, interrupts once more.

"Hold on, before you continue, who else works for this organization that we know of?"

"Ah, good question, well, as per FD-90, I'm supposed to tell you who else afflicted with you are working for the Foundation, let's see," Twilight tapped her chin (no wait ponies don't have chins, do they?
*one Google search later*
Apparently, only humans have chins. So...muzzle?)
Twilight tapped her lower...muzzle, in thought, before continuing,
"You've got me as the Head of Biological-Magical Research, you've got Spike as my secretary-"

"Spike's ya Secretary?" Asked Applejack.

"-yes, yes he is. Paranoia is commonplace in the Foundation. Starlight's in...what was it again Star?"

"Clef's Unofficial Bureau of Hunting Down Fuckers Who Try to Bend Reality," Said Starlight, with a seemingly clam face, even with all of the other ponies faces contruting in confusion.

"Ah yes, Clef's Bureau, other than us, you have Fancy Pants and Fleur as Oneriologists, and, if I'm correct, Moondancer too, in...what was it, I can't seem to remember, what was it Spike?"

"Antimemetics Division, Twi, and before you say that the Foundation doesn't have a Antimemetics Division," Spike held up a pill, it's hexagonal, and green. Twilight's face slowly shows recognition, "we have one, and you made me take these types of mnestics to make sure we don't forget about them,"

"Yes, yes, thank you Spike, and that should be your queue Star, explain to them why we can't tell them all of the SCPs," Twilight leaned back into her throne with a sigh, and Starlight began.

"You see, with the knowledge of SCPs now in your heads, you're all now a possible information leak, if we tell you more, other organizations, would want to hunt you down to tell them more about SCPs they want to get. Some want to use them for personal use, economic gain, or just plain violence, some want to do good, but we cannot let them, and-"

"Why are you not letting ponies who want to do good with anomolies like Joise here have them?" Asked Pinkie, who was now petting Joise.

"Well, let's say we did give it to some organization, but that organization might not have the same amount of power like us to protect those anomolies from other organizations who want to do harm, with or to the anomolies, and you some you cannot even harm, and even if you did harm, does more damage then anything," said Starlight, "plus, lots of ponies knowing there are things that can end life as we know it and breaks the laws of the universe? Usually equals mass panic. In most cases, Ingnorance is Bliss, and that's what the Foundation does, we don't want ponies tucking themselves in bed, knowing that tommorow they might not exist. It's like what some say, "We Die in the Dark, so you can live in the light," and what a dangerous job it is in the dark, now any questions?"

"Yes, what the hay is the Bureau you work for? "Who Try to Bend Reality"? I'm pretty sure nopony could bend reality," said Rainbow.

"Uh huh," replied Starlight, " the only problem, they exist. They bend reality to their will, and when that change happens, you won't think any thing changed. Except us. Ever since we Equestrians got into the Foundation, we've devised a way to prevent reality shifts on us, which I can't tell you becuase its classified, so, we can hunt down those Fuckers-" Fluttershy and Pinkie flinched "-and fix reality,"

"Starlight dear, do you have to swear?" Asked Rarity

"After working with the Foundation? Yes, yes i have to, becuase after seeing what we deal with on a daily basis, you'll let us swear out of pure respect,"

"Pfffft, it not like there are world ending things right? Right?" Asked Rainbow Dash.

"There are things that could. There thighs that are Antimemetic which makes you unable to remember anything about them. There those by knowing of their existence endangers you. This universe is fucked up, and the Foundation does it best to protect you all from them," said Twilight.

"Okay, then," said Fluttershy, finally working up the strength to speak up, albeit in a small tone, "may I ask, what is a Oneriologist? You know the profession Fleur and Fancy does?"

"An Oneriologist is a person who deals with dream anomolies, those trained as Oneriologists could write Dream Journals in their sleep, documenting what they dreamed about, lucid dream on will, travel to other dreams and connect with others, and also the ability to fall asleep and wake up on command,"

"And that should be it, any questions?"

"Umm, yes, what do you mean, "Paranoia is commonplace in the Foundation"?" Asked Fluttershy.

"Ah, quite simple, when you work with the Foundation, you have to keep it a secret, making you paranoia with who you befriend, and since the Foundation isn't the only underground group, you have to be careful, becuase whoever you befriend might just be an agent from another group and they might do unknown things to you," said Twilight, "and you can never be too careful,"

Before anypony could comprehend, Spike pulled a small L shaped metal object from under the table and pointed at Starlight and shot two bullets into her.

Twilight's friends say there in shock, while Twilight took out a handkerchief and began cleaning her throne which was stained with 'Starlight's blood.

"What the fuck just happened!?" Exclaimed Rainbow Dash, who was the fastest one to recover.

"Imposter, not a changeling though," said Spike while dragging the body out of the throne room. "It was easy, Starlight hates being called Star, if she called that, she would grumble and swear every now and then,"

And at the same moment Spike was dragging the imposter body out, Dr. Campbell entered, which got several shock comments from Twilight's friends.

"Wha in Tarnation?!"

"What's that!?"

"Oh my,"

"Look! Convient plot timing!"

"What the fuck are you?!"

Dr. Campbell went over to Twilight's side, chuckling.

"Ain't they curious eh Twi?"

"Yes doc," Twilight threw the blood stained handkerchief behind her throne, "and everypony, this is Dr. Campbell, and she's a human, and she works for the same organization me, Spike and the real Starlight work for, and she'll be explaining to you about your status as Level-0 Personnel because of your affliction with me,"

Chapter the Family (Part 1)

As Twilight trotted down the streets of Canterlot, she was assaulted by memories of the past, of times she went out with her brother to the library, and going out with her parents to the library, and going out with Spike to...the...library.

Twilight continued on her way chuckling of her thinking about her past self would always buried her muzzle in the thickest books she could find.

She was in Canterlot after throughly explaining to her friends about her job in the world's, no the Multiverse's most biggest, and most secretive organization, the Foundation.

Her friends were certainly shocked when she didn't bat an eye when she shot the imposter Starlight, because no way in Tartarus would Starlight tolerate being called 'Star', after that she left everything to Campbell to explain to them about their new found status as Level-0 Personnel.

They were surprisingly ok with it, Applejack and Rainbow were actually interested in the Foundation, while the rest were contend with knowing of the Foundation. And after that, Pinkie made sure to make everyone Pinkie Promise to keep this a secret or they'll lose Twilight and their new friend Campbell's trust f-

FORRRRRRRRREEEEEVVVVVEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

Pinkie! Get out of my narration!

Okie Dokey Lokei!

Now anyways, after successfully FD90-Ing her friends, Twilight moved on to FD90 her family.

She had invited them to have a 'get-together' in the family home, smack dab in Canterlot, just a block away from the Royal Palace.

Due to its close proximity to the palace, Twilight's parents were pretty much ok with her living in the Palace due to the amount of death threats, marriage offers, and monetary offers they were getting from the more snobbish nobles of Canterlot.

As Twilight turned the corner to her childhood home. It was a modest room for a noble house in the central of Canterlot. It had two floors, with an observatory designed especially for the house on top. The house was painted in blue and purple in sharp contrast to the white and...white of most noble's houses. The house had a small lawn surrounding it with a fence, built after Twilight's Ascension into Protegehood, to protect the home from prying eyes. And in the back was a small garden where her mom would plant vegetables to use for her cooking.

As Twilight neared the house, she could smell the distinct signature of her mother's cooking, knowing full well that this was a sign that lunch time was near.

Unlike most nobles, Twilight's parents weren't businessponies nor descendants of some ancient duke or duchess, their family was a line of start ups. Her great great great great great great grandfather was a major astronomer who invented the concept of light years, her great great great grandaunt was the most influential writers of her time. The heritage of astronomy and writing was passed down until eventually her parents met which resulted in Canterlot's Royal Guard's most youngest captain and the Bearer of Magic and the Princess of Friendship.

Despite her family's fame, they didn't want a massive home, all they wanted was a home where they could easily conduct their work. And most of their wealth either ended up in the banks (under several different aliases of course) or the hooves of charities.

Twilight stood in front of her family home's door, the home was the place of major astronomical studies and the place where some of the best novels of history were written, including the famous "The Untouched Rose". Now, this was the place where was going to reveal to her family, of the job that she does in the dark and what she does to protect them. Including all of the questionable ones.

Fuck.

She should have asked for changeling ethics committee liasion.

---SCP---

Shining Armor was worried.

Even though his wife was happy, he couldn't help but feel nervous.

Twilight had called for a 'get-together' in their family home in Canterlot in the middle of an important investigation.

Princess Celestia had sent out a confidental order out to him and several other former captains and sceed current captains of the Royal Guard and the Equestrian Military.

They were tasked with investigating into several supposed deaths of several prominent sorcerers and researchers, and they were tasked to keep it a secret.

And what they found was shocking.

After analysising several of the corpses the group found out that the bodies weren't the actual bodies of the sorcerers, implying that somepony placed fakes in their place. The investigators then quickly decided to overturn their houses looking for any evidence or anything that could vaguely tell them why there were fake bodies and where the ponies went.

And they found it.

When searching the prominent scientist Lividia Flower, an officer pushed a desk out of the room to see if there any secret passages under the floor, he found none, but he did found a peice of paper, a contract.

The contract detailed of a job description as "a research secretary and if you are deemed skilled enough, you could be promoted to project secretary,". At first the group assumed it was a business contract, but some things quickly dismissed the claim.

There were several parts in the cotract where the author emphasized the importance of secrecy and that "any sort of leak of information which were created directly or indirectly by you will result in disciplinary action, and depending on severity, termination and the cancellation of your contract,". Other than that, the investigators concluded that this organization was finically, militarily, powerful and influential, in the contract it states "if you suffer any injuries, the Foundation will pay for any medical bills, and if you are terminated by either a loose anomaly or GOIs, your family will be compensated for your death," and it also states "if you decide to run and leak information about the Foundation, the Foundation will have no worry chasing you until we find you and don't think your government will help you, we can get you no matter where you are,".

Fortunately for them, the investigators found out the organization's name, the SCP Foundation, as the organization's name was mentioned several times on the contract.

The hunt was now focused on finding any traces on "The Foundation" in any government record. They didnt manage to find any, but when they were about to lose hope, they found one.

It detailed a deal between Princess Twilight and the Foundation for several plots of land throughout Equestria and the Crystal Empire in exchange for a generous sum of bits.

That shocked Shining to his core. He didn't knew that Twilight had been making deals, or that she was already having talks with organizations.

Especially this organization.

Shortly after finding out this information, Hard Hitter, a former naval admiral, went to check out a island of the coast of Fillydelphia. He got close, but when he did, he found a disguise spell which had been hiding a massive facility on the island, immediately, alarms went off and Hard Hitter quickly sped off on his boat out of there.
After returning to the others and telling about the island, he went home. The next day he was found dead in a river.

Police investigators say that the death was caused by Hard Hitter slipping and falling off the bridge. As it was raining that night.

Soon, Wonderbolt Captain Spitfire told the rest of the investigators that she saw several other Pegasi trailing her the same night all the way to her home.

And within the next week, all of them reported several stalkers. Shining saw a couple of earth ponies trailing him the other day when he was leaving the barracks from a party. He couldn't see their coats, but he knew that they knew that he knew about them.

Shining told the rest to stay with one another each day just in case this "Foundation" struck when they were alone.

And then Twilight called for a family get-together.

The timing was too perfect, first Hard Hitter dies, then he was being stalked, and then Twilight asks to have a family get together? Twilight knew of this. She must have.

Shining was planning on asking Twilight about the deal, well now he had two questions to ask, and hopefully not, in front of the entire family.

"We're here Shiny!"

Cadence was right, they were here, and the smell of Mum's cooking along with the sound of laughter indicated that it was lunch time, and from the sound of another pony other than mum and dad meant one thing.

Twilight was already here.

Here goes nothing, I guess

Chapter the Family (Part 2)

Twilight always loved her mother's blueberry pie. The taste reminded of the many nights when her mum would read her bed time stories, when dad would let her stay up late and watch the stars, or when she and Shiny stayed up late so they could sneak into the kitchen and steal some cookies.

The Researcher looked up from her meal to see Cady laughing with her parents about something she didn't quite catch, but when she turned to face Shiny, he saw something wrong in his eyes.

Fear.

Twilight's mind then when into full on Sherclop Holmes. She scanned the dining area, untouched meal, sweating just above the brow, nervous glances towards her, this could only mean one thing, he knew something about her.

Shite Nuggets.

Had she slipped up somewhere? Was there a leak? Is Shiny actually part of a GOI and planning to take her out!?

"-light?"

Twilight snapped out her panic trance to face her father who asked the question.

"Twily, Shiny just asked you a question," said Nightlight

"Oh, right, was the question BBBFF?" Twilight asked cheerfully to her BBBFF.

"Have you met any organizations or struck any deals with any since your coronation?" Asked Shiny, who looked tense.

"No, why?" Twilight was begging that Shiny dropped the question, she feared that if Shiny had managed to connect the invisible dots, he would ruin her chances of explaining everything.

"Well you see...Twily, you are a suspect in a investigation,"

Everypony in the room gasped,

"Impossible!"

"What!"

"Shiny how could you!?"

"Im a what?!"

"What's the meaning of this Shiny!?" Demanded Cadence.

The former guard captain sighed before explaining, "Me and some of the former and current captains were ordered to investigate into some murders of some of Equestria's top researchers and mages, and after more than a month, we've drawn up with only one suspect and one organization, You Twily, and the Foundation,"

"Who the buck is the Foundation?" Asked Twilight, hoping that playing innocent would throw him off.

"Don't play dumb, Researcher Twilight," said Shining as he got up and stared down Twilight.

"No seriously what is this Foundation you speak of?" Twilight was sweating like crazy now.

"This Foundation is the reason for the murder of 23 different ponies and one former guard captain! Tell me now Twilight why are you working for them!?"

Twilight held back tears before screaming, "For the Greater Good!"

"Why would killing innocent ponies be for the Greater Good!?"

Twilight sniffled before answering

"Do you even know what the Foundation does? Do you think we are murder happy ponies? Do you think we murder ponies for just causes!? No! We do it for the greater good! To save you all from the horrors of the dark!"

Everypony went silent.

"What...horrors of the dark?" Asked Twilight Velvet

"This world is not perfect, there are many glitches in the world, from scary things of unimaginable horrors, to a infinite sandwich.

We the Foundation does our best to protect you all from them, and sometimes we have to fight fire with fire.

We need the best minds in the world so we can fight them, and faking deaths do that the smartest could work without distractions.

But, sometimes we have to kill somepony becuase the anomalies of this world forces our hooves.

A popular saying in the Foundation is 'The End justifies the Means', The Ends is the safety of creature kind, and the Means are anything, from murdering a city of ponies to large amounts of gold to covering up the existence of another continent.

We must do these things, becuase some of the things, if we know what they actually are, we be dead becuase knowing or seeing something can mean death.

I had many friends who I knew died horrifying deaths in the name of the rest of all creatures, so don't go around accusing them Shiny!

We've done many horrible things, I've ordered the executions of 57 different convicts becuase they were infected by an anomaly, and I had to pull the trigger on a friend once becuase he also got infected!

We were good ponies, we were good, we became bad to protect the rest of the good ponies from the worst of the worst!

Please, please just forgive me,"

Twilight broke down in tears, sobbing uncontrollably. Shiny went over and hugged her, and was joined by Cadence, Velvet, and Nightlight.

Their daughter had went through seemingly the depths of Tartarus so that they and many others can live peaceful lives, and they now can repay her for her work.

By being there for her and comforting her and helping her when she needed help.

Becuase even if you have to go into the dark, you don't have to go in alone.

The 05 Council is the most terrifying of places for anyone.

And Twilight was there now, in front of the 13 most powerful creatures in the universe.

They had requested her presence seemingly out of the blue. She didn't know why she was here for.

"Level-4 Senior Researcher Twilight Sparkle, I know you want to know why you're here, it's becuase We, the 05 Council have decided that you should be the creature to head out newest Site, Site-183, it's in another universe, you will still get to visit your friends and family here in this universe, like MTF Theta-4 'Gardeners' Commander Applejack or Site-19's secretary Twilight Velvet. Or MTF Iota-10 'Damn Feds' Shining Armor

But it is important that you stay in Site-183 for most of the time. You will be in charge in containing several of the most dangerous Euclid SCPs, we decided to leave them in another universe becuase it is better to not endanger another universe than our own.

If you choose to accept this proposition, you will be amnesticed, but if you accept, you must not disclose the Site you work in. Simply say that you have been assigned to work on another project.

So...do you accept?"

Twilight smilied.

"Gladly,"
