It was late in the night and Sunset Shimmer was just getting off work. It's drizzling outside apparently about to rain as Sunset was walking to her car. She just wanted to get home and see her beautiful fiance Twilight and cuddle her in bed. Usually she would already be at home by now but out of the blue her boss requested if she could stay and work a couple hours more. Sunset being the generous woman she is agreed even if it met getting home late to Twilight.
Twilight being the loyal, understanding woman she is obviously said it was no big deal and they could watch some TV and snuggle when she gets off. There was no doubt about it that Twilight and Sunset love each other deeply, they are both pretty and smart adults and soon they're going to be a married couple. Their roles in their relationship are quite different though, Sunset is more of the out-going teasing type and Twilight is more of the shy cute type. Their quite different but at the same time not at all. However that doesn't stop them from loving each other.
Sunset sent a text to Twilight: I'm on my way home babe.
Looking forward to it. Twilight replied. Sunset smiled at the response.
"Can traffic be any slower," Sunset groaned as she drove home.
Sunset pulled into the parking space and started walking towards the small house her and Twilight share. Why is it so dark? she thought to herself. From the windows it looked black inside besides the glow from the TV. Why isn't she in bed? She thought again.
She used her keys and unlocked the door. "Twi?" Sunset spoke up.
She looked over to see Twilight sitting on the couch covered in a blanket staring at the television. Sunset in confusion turned and looked at the TV. From where she was standing it appeared to be a couple on their wedding day. The bride was holding a bouquet of flowers as she walked down the aisle. Still in the doorway she closed the door behind her and walked closer to her. She was sniffling, crying in fact! On instinct Sunset ran and sat herself on the couch right next to Twilight.
"Twilight!" she cried out, wrapping her arms around her crying fiance. "Baby, what's wrong?" a worried look came upon Sunset's face.
Still sniffling Twilight looked over at Sunset. "I'm s-so sorry." Just then Twilight bursted into tears.
Sunset turned Twilight's body to face hers and wiped her tears. She took her hand and gave it a gentle kiss trying to calm her down. Sunset looked back up at her. "Shh, what's got you so upset? Talk to me."
"I c-can't marry you Sunset," Twilight said still crying. Sunset in shock slowly let go of Twilight's hand. She quickly began thinking of reasons why Twilight could of said that.
Did she lie to her about something important?
Does she have feelings for somebody else?
Did she cheat on her!?
Sunset snapped back into reality when she heard Twilight starting to cry hard again. She shook her head and took her hands again. "Why's that Twilight?" she spoke.
Twilight looked at Sunset, lips trembling she spoke, "I'm not good enough for you Sunset, I never was. Your this fun, intelligent, gorgeous person and i'm nothing. I'm boring and i'm not brave or out-going like you."
Sunset starred her showing no expression. Her eyes though are still filled with concern for her fiance. Twilight spoke again "I'm not worth your love. You deserve someone better to spend the rest of your life with."
All Sunset could think was-
where was this coming from?
"Twilight," Sunset said after a quick sigh of relief. "The only person I want to spend the rest of my life with is you. I'm flattered but don't you dare call yourself a nothing. Twilight Sparkle you are the most un-boring person I know. You're smart, kind, fun, and I can't even begin to explain how beautiful you are and how much you mean to me."
Twilight's tears slowly started disappearing and she began to blush at her fiance's words. Sunset smiled at her.
"You stop this nonsense you hear me?" Twilight sniffed while smiling big and then wiped her eyes. "I love you Twi, nothing will never change that. I can't wait to marry you and I hope you still want the same," Sunset finished.
"Of course I do!" Twilight said happily. Sunset leaned over and kissed her soon-to-be wife passionately on her soft lips. Twilight put her hands on Sunset's shoulders and starting kissing her back. They soon released their lips and breath the air calmly. "Thank you Sunset, I really needed to hear that," Twilight said.
"Anytime babe," Sunset replied. "Now, what brought up this sense of negativity?" Sunset asked her. Twilight turned and faced the TV still on the same program as before. Sunset giggled. "Really Twi?"
Twilight faced Sunset again confused "What do you mean really twi?" She cocked her head.
Sunset stopped her giggling and put her hand on Twilight's cheek smiling "Watching a romance movie about a wedding made you think these doubts about yourself?" Twilight sighed and then giggled herself.
"I guess it did." The two women started laughing together that lasted about half a minute.
Calming herself down, Sunset started talking, "Now, I believe you promised me a movie and snuggle time?" she said smirking.
Twilight grinned at her fiance. "I did," she said with a nod. Twilight got up off the couch and grabbed the remote and turned to Netflix. She picked up the blanket and sat next to Sunset.
Sunset smiled. "Great, It's what I've been looking forward to ever since your phone call."
Sunset gave Twilight a quick kiss on her forehead and laid her and Twilight down in a cute snuggle. Twilight put on a movie and her and Sunset cuddled while they enjoyed a nice comedy.
About half way through the movie Sunset looked down at Twilight and found her asleep. Sunset leaned down and kissed her cheek. Sunset yawned, I guess she was tired herself. Too tired to move and change into her pajamas she decided to just sleep on the couch with Twilight. She took the remote and turned off the TV.
"I love you so much," she whispered and began to close her eyes. Before you know it she drifted off to sleep alongside her favorite person in the whole world.
