Starlight and the Mane 6 exchange stories of the past with a familiar human girl
When a mean pony causes trouble for the noble human girl, Megan, Twilight Sparkle and her friends help her by telling stories about their finest moments. Along the way, they help Megan remember her best memories, hopefully to calm her down.
It was a beautiful day in Equestria. Twilight Sparkle looks at the School of Friendship with admiration. Megan Williams, a human girl who remembers Equestria when it was called Ponyland, looks at the school as well.
"I can't believe that you and your friends are teachers in this school, Twilight.” Megan said with excitement.
"That's right, Megan." The alicorn replied. "Ever since the Friendship Map expanded beyond Equestria, my friends and I realized that many creatures should learn about friendship."
"And, that's where this school comes in. Right, Twi?"
"Right. And, we're doing pretty good."
The two figures soon made their way through Ponyville.
"By the way, Megan." Twilight said. "Did you meet the six creatures that are part of our class? These young creatures once rescued all the magic of Equestria."
Megan figures out who Twilight is talking about. "No. But, Starlight Glimmer told me about them. I never thought that a pony, a dragon, a griffon, a yak, a changeling, and a hippogriff/sea pony hybrid would be friends with each other."
"I'll introduce you to them someday."
Suddenly, a light gray male pony with a dark gray and black mane and tail charged in to confront Megan.
"Stop right there!" The pony yelled angrily. "Your type of being hasn't been seen here for centuries. I want it to stay that way!"
Twilight saw the confrontation and tries to calm things down. "Is something wrong?"
"Relax, Princess Twilight. I'll handle this." The pony calmly said to Twilight.
He turned back to Megan, and got angry again. "You should head back where you come from! You're not helpful here!"
Shaken by panic, Megan dropped to her knees and started to cry hysterically as the pony trotted off. When Twilight saw the light and dark gray stripes as his Cutie Mark, she knew who that pony was.
"Who was that pony?" Megan sobbed.
"That was Shadow Streak." Twilight answered. "He's one stubborn pony who thinks different creatures can't get along with each other. He's been criticizing my School of Friendship for months."
Megan slowly stood up, but was still nervous. "What does he have against me?"
"I'm guessing he doesn't like beings like you visiting." Twilight replied, trying to comfort her human friend. "Climb on. I'll take you back to my castle."
Megan slowly climbed on Twilight's back. Tears still drip down Megan's face. "Thanks, Twi."
Later, inside Twilight's castle, Megan is in one of the guest rooms. She was still shaking with fear as she continued to cry softly. Just then, a majestic white alicorn with a pastel mane and tail entered the room. Megan saw the beautiful alicorn enter the room. "Princess Celestia. What brings you here?"
"Twilight told me what happened to you." Celestia calmly answered. "It was not right that Shadow Streak caused you to panic."
"This is a nightmare!" Megan panickly said. "I felt so... so...HURT by his words!"
Soon, Celestia placed two lengths of rope on the floor.
"What's the rope for?" Megan wondered.
Suddenly, Celestia used her alicorn magic to send one piece of rope to Megan. Before Megan knew it, the rope wrapped around her legs and ankles. She fell to her knees and started to panic. "Princess Celestia. What are you doing?"
"I'm making sure you don't hurt yourself." Celestia replied.
Just then, Celestia used her magic to send the other rope to Megan. The rope wrapped around her upper body. The rope ends wrapped around her wrists and tied them behind her back. Megan was so tied up, she couldn't move.
Celestia started to leave the room. "I'll remove those bonds when you calmed down enough."
As Celestia left the room, Megan got upset about her situation. Tears were flowing down her face as she starts to cry quietly again. "Oh, boy. What a mess I got myself into. You... You're going to pay for this somehow, Shadow Streak!"
Inside the meeting room, Twilight Sparkle and her friends discuss how to help Megan.
"Poor Megan." Fluttershy said sadly. "I wish there was a way to help her."
Applejack got very upset. "If I see that meanie, Shadow Streak, he's gonna get introduced to Bucky McGillicudy and Kicks McGee!"
"You're referring to your back legs. Right?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Well, Rainbow. As my brother, Big Macintosh, would say, Eeyup."
"Hold up, everypony." Twilight interrupted. "Violence is never the answer."
Rarity got concerned. "Then, how can we help our human friend?"
Soon, Starlight Glimmer got an idea. "Hold on. I got it! Ever since Megan and her siblings, Danny and Molly, started coming back to Equestria, we've been learning about their adventures in the past. Right?"
"That's true, Starlight." Twilight answered.
"So, you six can tell her about your best moments. Along the way, you can remind her of some of her greatest memories."
Pinkie Pie happily bounced up and down. "That's a good idea, Starlight."
Fluttershy agreed. "Good memories might calm down Megan enough for Princess Celestia to undo those ropes."
"What about you, darling?" Rarity asked Starlight.
Starlight Glimmer looked puzzled. “I don't know if I have any memories to share."
"Don't worry, sugar cube." Applejack said. "I'm sure y'all can think of something."
Twilight got up to leave the room. "I'll go first. I know a story to start things off."
Twilight entered the guest room where Megan was left tied up.
"Hello there, Megan." Twilight greeted calmly.
Megan looked at the alicorn, still tearing up. "Oh. Hello, Twilight. Sorry you had to see me like this."
"I feel bad for what happened. But, you have to understand why Celestia restrained you."
"Believe me, Twi. I do." Megan sobbed. "But, I feel so... so... helpless!"
Twilight brought a tissue to wipe the tears from Megan's eyes. "Relax, my friend. I felt a little unsure myself during my first big adventure in Ponyville."
"You? Really?" Megan gasped. "How did that go?"
Twilight told Megan about her first adventure. "I was present in Canterlot when Celestia was taken prisoner by the vicious Nightmare Moon."
"Nightmare Moon?" Megan blurted. "Oh. That's Princess Luna's dark side."
"Right. The only way to free Celestia is with the Elements of Harmony, which were located in Celestia and Luna's old castle in Everfree Forest. I started my journey alone. Soon, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity joined me. After going through a lot of obstacles, we arrived at the old castle.
"We confronted Nightmare Moon. Soon, five of the elements came to my friends."
"If I'm not mistaken," Megan interrupted, "Applejack stands for Honesty, Fluttershy is about Kindness, Rarity represents Generosity, Pinkie Pie has Laughter, and Rainbow Dash is about Loyalty."
"That's right." Twilight replied as she continued her story. "And then, the sixth element, the Element of Magic, came to me. Together, me and my friends defeated Nightmare Moon, freed Celestia, and saved Equestria from eternal night."
"And, returned Princess Luna back to normal. Right?"
"Correct."
Twilight soon asked Megan for something. "How about telling me about YOUR first big adventure."
"My first big adventure?" Megan wondered. "I remember that day."
Megan recalled her very first trip to Ponyland. "I was helping out at my farmland home when something fell in a well. It was a Pegasus named Firefly. She soon brought me to an area of Ponyland named Dream Valley. I was told that some of the ponies were captured by Tirac the Terrible."
"Hmmmm." Twilight interrupted. "There's a creature named Tirek locked up in Tartarus. You must've faced his ancestor."
"Maybe." Megan replied as she continued her story. "I was taken to a mystic troll known as the Moochic. He gave me my special heart locket."
"That locket contains the legendary Rainbow of Light. Right?"
"Right, Twi. Tirac invaded Dream Valley and unleashed a dark stormy cloud called the Rainbow of Darkness. But, it turns out that my rainbow was stronger than his. Tirac was destroyed, the ponies he altered were back to normal, and I've been a faithful friend to Ponyland ever since."
Megan soon feels a little upset again. "I hope I can still be a friend to you and everypony else here in Equestria."
Twilight approached the poor girl and gently put her hoof on her shoulder. "Don't worry, Megan. I'm sure you'll be okay."
Twilight left the room. Megan felt a little better, but not fully. Soon, Applejack came into the room.
“Howdy, Hon.” Applejack greeted.
Megan saw the proud farmer pony. “Howdy, Applejack.”
“What’s wrong, Meg? Still very upset after what happened?”
“I sure am.” Megan sadly answered. “I felt so humiliated.”
Applejack looked at her with concern. “Kinda’ like how I felt when I had to hide something from my friends.”
“What?!” Megan shouted. “I thought you wouldn’t hide anything. Seeing as how you represent The Element of Honesty.”
“I know.” Applejack sadly replied. “But, hear me out. I won many ribbons from contests and rodeos. Of all the colors I have, however, there was one color I don’t have.”
Megan looked at Applejack, figuring out the problem. “I’m guessing, BLUE, for first place.”
“Yup. I felt so bad. But, Twilight told me that nopony cared what place I came in. As long as I do my best.”
Megan felt relieved hearing this. “At least you have some gold on your shelf.”
Applejack gave Megan a sweet smile. “I heard you went lookin’ for some gold too. Gold horseshoes I believe.”
Hearing what the farmer pony said, Megan had another flashback. “I know what you’re talking about. One of my pony friends from the past, Mimic, was fading in and out. My mystic friend, the Moochic, told me that four magical golden horseshoes can cure her.”
“I’ll bet it ain’t easy.”
“Sure wasn’t. My friends and I had to compete in a race, look through a junkyard, outwit a goblin family, and befriend an elf to gather all four. But, gather them we did. And, Mimic was all better.”
Applejack gave Megan a small hug which made the bound girl smile a little.
“You’re a special young’un, Megan.” Applejack said. “Don’t let anypony tell y’all otherwise.”
Applejack left the room as Megan starts to feel more relaxed. “Thanks, pardner.”
Fluttershy looked at the girl, and felt sorry for her. "Poor Megan. It makes me sad seeing you like this."
"Trust me." Megan replied. "It's a sad scene."
"If only Shadow Streak is easy to rehabilitate as Discord was."
Megan got surprised to hear that name. "Discord? That mischief maker? How did you turn HIS life around?"
Fluttershy explains about Discord's redemption. "The other ponies were not sure about releasing Discord from his stone like prison. But, Celestia believes that they can help redeem him, with my help of course. After being brought back to life, Discord started using his wacky magic.
"But, I started getting stern with him. I told him that I'll be nice to him if he stops his misfit ways. He and I have been friends since."
"Wow!" Megan said with astonishment. "The beauty tamed the beast! Does help to have the Element of Kindness. Right?"
"That's right, Megan." Fluttershy answered. "I wonder if Crunch was that easy to tame."
Megan's eyes widened, knowing who Fluttershy is talking about. "Crunch, the Rock Dog! I forgot about that stone faced critter."
Fluttershy smiled. "I'm pretty knowledgeable about animals, Meg."
Megan tells the story about this creature. "Crunch, the Rock Dog was created by a spirit in the Purple Mountains to guard a heart shaped stone in the mountain's core. However, the spirit forgot to give that dog feelings. Because of this, Crunch started changing some ponies and fuzzy creatures called Bushwoolies to stone."
"Oh, no!" Fluttershy cried. "Talk about being heartless."
"I'll say. Hearing the story about this, me and my brother, Danny, traveled to the Purple Mountains. We borrowed the Heart Stone to stop Crunch. That stone critter was ready to pounce on us and ponies who came with us. The Heart Stone worked it's magic. And, Crunch was reduced to a little puppy."
"Surely, that's not the end of this story."
"You're right. After Crunch's magic wore off, and any petrified ponies and Bushwoolies were back to normal, we decided to make Crunch friendly. Danny held Crunch as one of the ponies helped me break off a piece of the Heart Stone and placed it in Crunch's collar. The Rock Dog changed back to normal. But, he was friendlier than earlier, and was full of heart. We returned the Heart Stone to the mountain, and all was well."
Fluttershy walked up to Megan and gave her a small kiss on her cheek. "I'm glad that things worked out in the end, Megan."
Megan felt very loved as Fluttershy leaves the room. "Me too, Fluttershy."
Moments later, Rarity entered the room, carrying a knapsack with her. Megan greets the trendy pony. "Rarity. Pleasure to see you."
"Hello, darling." Rarity replied as she looks as the girl. "Your pink and blue outfit is beautiful. Too bad those ropes are covering too much of it."
"That's true." Megan stated sadly. "I still feel a little upset about this."
Rarity approached Megan to comfort her. "I know how you feel. Especially when my mane got wrecked."
"How did that happen, Rarity?”
Rarity told her about the damage to her mane. "I was scheduled for a photo shoot done by Vanity Mare magazine. Special Mane edition. After a party string accident at Pinkie Pie's house, I tried washing the string off my mane. But, I used some of Zecora's remover potion by mistake. That potion was supposed to remove the string from Pinkie's house." Rarity's voice grew grim. "But, it removed most of my mane."
"Ouch!" Megan frightfully said. "Talk about a bad hair day."
"Indeed. I was so upset, I cancelled the shoot. However, my friends reminded me of how helpful I was to them and other ponies in Ponyville. After I got my composure back, I retouched my mane, slipped on some accessories, and came out with a new look."
"What kind?" Megan wondered.
"Something you probably refer to as a Punk Rocker look."
Megan was shocked. "What?! You got to be Joking!"
Rarity pulled out her special issue of Vanity Mare magazine, used her magic to flip through the pages, and showed Megan what she was talking about. Megan was impressed. Especially with the pictures of Rarity helping others. "Rock on, Rarity! No wonder you represent the Element of Generosity."
"Thank you, darling." Rarity said proudly. "Everypony loved my mane, and I was shining wonderfully."
Rarity closed the magazine and put it back in her knapsack. Then, asked Megan about a figure from the past. "Do you know of someone named Porcina?"
Megan knew who Rarity was referring to. "I sure do! Porcina was an arrogant pig-like princess who was looking for some magical material to fix her cloak. That cloak had the power to turn anything into glass."
"Sounds dreadful." Rarity blurted out.
"That's for sure. So these creatures called Raptorians swooped down and captured three ponies, Gusty, Heartthrob, and Lickety-Split, and brought them to Porcina. Me and other ponies went off to rescue them. My little sister, Molly, and another pony, Shady, were backing us up. Meanwhile, the captured ponies had their hair cut off. That hair grew back quickly."
"How did that happen?" Rarity asked puzzlingly.
"Even I don't know the answer to that. Anyway, we found the captured ponies and prepared to free them. Molly and Shady followed us, carrying some fur our furry friends, the Bushwoolies, shed. Meanwhile, pressured by the Raptorians, Porcina used her cloak to turn Ponyland into glass. Later, while Porcina was sleeping, I tried to switch her cloak with a cloak we made from Bushwooly fur.
"But, those Raptorians woke up Porcina and told her to turns me and my friends to glass. But, she couldn't. Turns out, I switched cloaks just in time. Those bullies tried to grab the cloak from me. It became a real tug-of-war which ripped the magical cloak and turned those creeps into glass themselves."
"Serves them right, pressuring their leader like that!" Rarity shouted. "Everything work out in the end?"
"Sure did." Megan answered. "Using her torn magical cloak, Porcina turned all of Ponyland back to normal, and left for her home. Some of the Bushwoolies went with her to be her groomers."
"That's proof you're a fine maiden, Megan." Rarity said, giving Megan a sweet hug. "Never lose faith in yourself."
Rarity left the room with her knapsack. Megan has been giving a bit more confidence. She was grateful to Rarity. "Thanks for your help, Rarity, darling."
Soon, Pinkie Pie came into the room, bouncing happily.
"Pinkie Pie." Megan said with a small smile. "You always bring a smile to someone's face."
"I sure do." The party pony replied. "It's good to see you smile at last."
"Thanks. I am starting to feel a bit better."
"That's the spirit!"
Pinkie hops closer, and sits next to Megan "You know, Megan. I don't know what Shadow Streak has against you. But, I'd like to turn his frown upside-down. Just like I did for Cranky Doodle Donkey."
Megan got interested. "How did you cheer up Cranky Doodle anyway, Pinkie?"
"It wasn't easy." Pinkie answered. "It seems like Cranky Doodle was traveling to find a place to settle down. I tried to be friends with him. But, he was refusing plenty of times. Even with a new wig, he still won't be friends."
"So, how did you succeed, Pinkie Pie?"
"Just then, I came back to him with an old friend of his, named Matilda. He was surprised, but happy. Matilda wrote a note, telling Cranky Doodle that she was moving to Ponyville. But, he didn't get the note. He was happy to see her again. He even married Matilda."
"The Element of Laughter helps out a bit. Doesn't it?" Megan said. Her smile got a bit better.
"Sure does." The party pony replied. "Makes me wonder. Did you have a friend of the past who got annoyed at something?"
Megan thought about it for a moment. Then, she had a thought. "You probably heard that I had a small dragon friend named Spike. Did you?"
" Why, yes I did." Pinkie Pie answered. "Probably OUR Spike's ancestor."
"Well, Spike had a bit of a problem with a young boy who said he's a dragon slayer."
Pinkie's eyes widened. "A dragon slayer? This I got to hear."
Pinkie listened to Megan's story. "Me and my pony friends saw a young boy named Alonzo chasing Spike. After we stopped the chase, Alonzo explained that he was trying to perform a good deed. And, he thought Spike was evil."
"That's funny." Pinkie Pie said, shaking her head. "Our dragon friends Spike, Ember, and Smolder are not evil."
"I agree." Megan replied as she continued her story. "Anyway, we convinced Alonzo that our little dragon is friendly. And, we agreed to help him with his problem. After a few mishaps, Alonzo saw a giant tortoise on his back. With determination, and a giant stick, he managed to turn the tortoise, until he was on his feet. Then, the tortoise transformed into his real form, a mighty wizard.
"The wizard said that he was testing the boy to see if he was worthy to be a knight. Alonzo's dream came true, and promised me and my friends that he'll be nicer to dragons."
Happy about Megan's story, Pinkie gave her a hug, and bounced out of the room.
"Remember, Megan." Pinkie stated as she poked her head in the room. “Keep smiling."
Megan saw Pinkie Pie leave the room. Soon, she feels more happiness in her soul. "Okay, Pinkie Pie. Anything you say."
A minute later, Rainbow Dash came in to say hello. "Hey there, Megster. What's up?"
"Hi, Rainbow Dash." Megan replied. "You're a sight for sore eyes."
The daredevil pony came up to Megan. "Shadow Streak must've got you good for Celestia to tie you up like this."
"I'll say. Shadow Streak acted so reckless to me."
Dash had a thought. "Kind of reminds me of Lightning Dust in a way."
"Lightning Dust?" Megan blurted. "Wasn't she the Pegasus that got booted out of the Wonderbolt Academy?"
"That's her!”
Rainbow Dash told Megan all about it. "Lightning Dust and I were very competitive at the academy, even as partners. During a cloud breaking exercise, L. D. decided to whip up a tornado to break up clouds fast. But, my friends, riding a balloon to meet me, got caught in the tornado! The other recruits helped me rescue my friends. But, what Lightning Dust did was not acceptable to me!"
"Wow!" Megan said shockingly. "I'll bet Captain Spitfire didn't take kindly to that."
"You bet. I explained to Spitfire about what Lightning Dust did. I almost quit the Wonderbolts. But, Spitfire realized that my loyalty to others is what the Wonderbolts should be about. Not to endanger the lives of fellow ponies, among other things. With that, Lightning Dust was dishonorably removed."
"Serves her right!" Megan stated proudly. “Lightning Dust should take a few lessons from you and the Element of Loyalty. I guess this is how she got the idea of putting together her own team, the Washouts."
Rainbow Dash nodded. "Lightning Dust would probably remind YOU of some reckless flower folks you met."
Megan's eyes widened. "The Flores! Boy, did they fool me and my friends at first."
Rainbow Dash hears the story as Megan goes on. "They claimed to be sweet flowers being chased by giant crabs. We thought the crabs were the bad guys, and had them locked away.”
"Those crabs are called the Crab Nasties, if I'm not mistaken." Dash interrupted.
"Yes. When the Flores grew and started to cause trouble, we realized we made a mistake. Me and my pony friends found that the Crab Nasties escaped from their prison, and we apologized to them. So, working together, me, my pony friends, and the Crab Nasties defeated those nasty weeds."
"I guess that old saying is true." Rainbow Dash stated. "Never judge a book by it's cover."
"We learned that lesson." Megan responded. "The HARD way."
They both shared a laugh. Then, Rainbow Dash started to leave the room. "Catch you later, Megs."
"Sure." Megan said calmly. "Later, Dashie."
Rainbow Dash ran into Starlight Glimmer in the hallway.
"Starlight!" Dash yelped. "What are YOU up to?"
"I thought of a good story to tell Megan." Starlight answered.
"You did? Really?"
"I sure did. And, I learned of a blast from Megan's past."
Megan became deep in thought when Starlight came in. She spotted the charming unicorn. "Starlight Glimmer. This is a pleasant surprise."
"Hi, Megan." Starlight greeted. "I heard that Celestia left you all wrapped up. But, WOW!"
"I'm guessing you're not here to joke about my, uh... condition."
“Nope. My discussion is about one of the worst villains in Equestria. Chrysalis!"
"Chrysalis?" Megan yelped. "The former queen of the Changelings?
"That's her."
Starlight told Megan about this experience. "These are the facts, Meg. Chrysalis wanted revenge on Twilight and the rest of the Mane 6 for ruining her plans for sabotaging Princess Cadence's wedding to Twilight's brother, Shining Armor. So, she and the Changelings captured Celestia, Luna, the Mane 6, Spike, Cadence, Shining Armor, and even Baby Flurry Heart."
"Oh no!" Megan shouted. "That's terrible!"
"I know. Learning about what happened, I gathered some allies, Discord, Trixie Lulamoon, and the reformed changeling, Thorax, and went off to rescue our friends. I found them. But, I saw Trixie and Discord captured too. Everypony was encased in evil cocoons. Chrysalis is determined to make sure I don't save anypony. Just then, Thorax went through an amazing transformation. He became handsome and more gentle.
"Seeing that, the other Changelings followed his example, realizing Chrysalis was wrong about her methods all along. The lair was wrecked, all the prisoners were freed, and Chrysalis left, vowing revenge. The Changelings have been on our side ever since."
"I was told about Thorax being their new leader." Megan stated. "I'm glad he became a good friend."
"Me too." Starlight agreed. She then had a thought. "Chrysalis is so vicious and so diabolical, I'll bet Grogar would like to keep her company."
"Grogar!" Megan uttered grimly. "Who can forget THAT tyrant?"
Starlight listens to Megan's story. "Grogar is the ruler of a dark city called Tambelon. By use of wicked magic, he started capturing ponies. Me, Danny, and Molly lead rescue parties to save them. But, each group was captured by Grogar's evil soldiers."
"Oh boy!" Starlight barked. "That creepy goat is relentless!"
"You said it." Megan replied as her story continued. "We were all locked up in a dungeon. We heard those vicious beasts celebrate their victory. Using some bubble magic to expand a crack in the ceiling, me and a few ponies flew through a hole in the roof. We got a set of keys from Grogar's partner, Bray, unlocked the door, and freed everyone.
"As we left for freedom, one of the ponies, Paradise, remembered that a giant bell in the center of the city was the source of Grogar's power. We rang that bell, and headed out, after that evil goat accidently rammed into the gate. That opened it for us."
"That's using his head." Starlight chuckled.
"You're right about that, Starlight. We all escaped just as Tambelon vanished for good. That nightmare is over."
"Megan, you're definitely daring." Starlight said as she gave Megan a sweet kiss. "That was probably your best moment."
Starlight left the room, and met Twilight Sparkle and Spike the Dragon outside.
"Twilight? Spike?" Starlight uttered. "What are you two doing here?"
"I heard the stories you and Megan told each other." Twilight replied. "Greatest adventures ever!"
"Thanks."
Spike approached Starlight. "I sent a letter to Princess Celestia about Megan's progress. Our friend won't be tied up for much longer."
Starlight was happy to hear the news. "She'll be happy to hear that!"
Minutes later, Celestia entered the guest room where Megan was still restrained.
"Hello, Megan." Celestia greeted.
Megan calmly looked at the majestic alicorn. "Hello, Princess Celestia. What brings you here?"
"Twilight told me that she and her friends told you stories about their best moments. Along the way, they reminded you about some of YOUR finest memories.
"I just can't believe I forgot those great memories."
"Panic can sometimes mess with your mind." Celestia added.
Using her alicorn magic, Celestia uncoiled the ropes off Megan. As the ropes leave her body, she finally stood up, stretched, and rubbed her wrists, knowing she's not tied up anymore.
"Thank you, Princess Celestia." Megan said, feeling much relief. "That DOES feel better."
Megan gave Celestia a sweet hug. Celestia gave the noble human girl some news. "Canterlot is having a garden party later today. And, Twilight would like you to attend."
Megan was pleasantly surprised. "Wow! No wonder Twilight wanted me to bring a beautiful outfit with me to Equestria. My mother even suggested that I spend the night in this castle."
"Twilight is one smart pony, my dear. The class from her school will be there too."
Megan got excited. "Really? Gallus, Ocellus, Sandbar, Silverstream, Smolder, and Yona are going to be at that party? Yes! I'm finally going to meet them!"
Later that day, Canterlot's garden party is going well. Ponies and other creatures gather to enjoy themselves. Even Shadow Streak is there, talking to the alicorn princesses.
"I feel so bad for what I've said and done." Shadow Streak confessed. "Can you princesses forgive me?"
"At least you realized your mistakes." Celestia responded. "You should not make hasty decisions like that."
"Indeed." Luna said gracefully. "Making bad choices can lead to dire consequences. I know this by experience."
Twilight Sparkle walked up to Shadow Streak. "You have to apologize to Megan too. After all, she felt a big sting of your anger."
"You're right." Shadow Streak replied. "Where is the little lady anyway?"
"She's with the class of creatures from Twilight's school." Cadence answered.
By a big fountain, Megan stands with Sandbar and the rest of the class as Photo Finish takes their picture.
"Thank you all!" Photo Finish happily said. "Your teal gown and blue shoes look good on you, Miss Megan."
"Thanks, Photo Finish." Megan responded. "But, how come I'm in the picture?"
Smolder the dragon walked up to Megan and put her claw on her shoulder. "We youngsters can get along with each other, no matter what species of creatures we are."
"Smolder's right." Gallus the griffon added proudly. "Besides, we learned about you in a lesson of Equestria History. You, Danny, and Molly were very helpful in the days of Ponyland."
"Aw!" Megan cooed as she blushed slightly.
"Look at that." Yona the yak laughed. "Human girl blushing."
Sandbar the young pony saw Shadow Streak arriving and greeted the gray pony. "Shadow Streak. What do we owe the honor of this appearance?"
Shadow Streak approached Megan calmly. "Miss Megan, it's not easy for somepony like me to admit I was wrong about somebody like you. But, I was."
"Shadow Streak apologizing?" Gallus yelped. "That's a nice change."
"It sure is." Ocellus the changeling agreed.
Shadow Streak continued his apology. "Princesses Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and Twilight Sparkle gave me a stern talking to."
"Apology accepted, Shadow Streak." Megan confirmed. "I'm glad you saw the error of your ways."
"I did. And, I see by these six creatures standing together, the School of Friendship was a good idea after all."
"Wow!" Silverstream the hippogriff/sea pony hybrid shouted. "He DOES like our school.”
Seeing the young six happy about his opinion, Shadow Streak turned to Megan. "Shall we join the princesses, my friend?"
"By all means, sir." Megan answered elegantly.
Shadow Streak and Megan walked together to meet the princesses, passing the rest of the Mane Six along the way.
"Ooooo." Pinkie Pie blurted. "Look at that!"
“What a beautiful sight." Fluttershy added.
Rainbow Dash saw the two figures walking together. "Looks like Twi helped him see the light."
Rarity agreed with Rainbow Dash. "Looks that way to me too, Dashie."
Applejack joined in. "Yup!"
Shadow Streak and Megan joined Twilight Sparkle and the other princesses. Cadence's husband, Shining Armor, went to talk to the gray pony.
"Thanks for apologizing to those you wronged, Shadow Streak." Shining Armor said.
"I had to do something honorably." Shadow Streak replied. "So, why not."
The party went well. And everyone had a good time. Megan included.
