"What's happening?!" Cozy Glow shouted as the massive sphere of magic was bathed in rainbow colored lights.

Within the sphere, the six young students started to glow with the light, each one of them bathed in one of the six colors of the Elements of Harmony. Then, the six of them were pulled out of the sphere of magic, which also stopped its decent into the portal below.

"They're glowing like the Elements!" an Earth Pony student shouted, "I think the Tree of Harmony saved them!"

Gallus smirked at Cozy Glow and said, "Guess our friendship is pretty magical after all."

"Hurry!" Ocellus shouted, "Grab the artifacts!"

Silverstream didn't look too sure about this, and she said, "Um, didn't you say that could destroy the school?" 

Ocellus nodded gravely, and she said, "But if we don't try, we could lose magic forever!"

Sandbar looked at all the students below and said, "You all better get clear! 

"NO!" Cozy Glow shrieked with rage, "I worked too hard to steal all the magic in Equestria to have you six spoil everything!"

"You did this!?" said one of the other pony students.

Cozy Glow's eyes widened, and she turned around slowly to see the entire student body shooting her with death glares. For a moment, Cozy cowered back a bit, but then she scowled back at the mob and said, "Yeah! I did it! It was me! And I haven't been beaten yet!"

Cozy then turned around to the sphere of magic, which still held Starlight Glimmer trapped inside of it. The six students were all gathered around their respective race's artifact, ready to pull them out of the spell matrix on the floor.

Sandbar shouted out to the other students again, "GO! Get out of here! Quick!"

As the group quickly ran to the exit, Cozy Glow stood firm and said, "Fine! If I can't banish the magic. . ." Without warning, the little Pegasus took flight towards the sphere and shouted, ". . . I'll take it myself!"

Cozy plunged into the sphere, slamming right into Starlight Glimmer and knocking her out of it. Starlight landed on the ground a few feet away, slightly dazed but relatively unhurt.

"NOW!" Smolder shouted, and the six students pulled out the artifacts.

There was a blinding flash of light, but all those present could clearly hear Cozy Glow's maniacal laughter.

"Ahahahahahaha! You're too late!"

When the light faded, Starlight and the six students were greeted with a terrible sight. Cozy Glow was now an Alicorn. Not only that, she had gotten slightly bigger. Now she was about the size of Sandbar. However, her horn and wings made her look a little bigger and more intimidating. She also now wore golden regalia similar to Celestia's on her hooves and neck to match her golden empress tiara.

"I had planned to simply use the magic of Friendship to rule of Equestria when all of its magic was gone," Cozy said in her same old wickedly cute voice, a villainous smirk on her face, "I never thought I'd actually be able to absorb the magic, to be honest. This was desperation on my part. But since you six just had to get in my way, I suppose now I can just force everyone to be my friend. . ."

Cozy then fired an insanely massive beam up through the ceiling, blasting a hole all the way through to the surface.

". . . OR I'LL JUST DESTROY THEM!" Cozy declared at the top of her lungs, and she flew off into the sky, laughing maniacally all the way.

Now in full panic mode, Silverstream frantically looked between each of her friends and Starlight and said, "Oh no, oh no, oh no! What do we do now?!"

Before anyone could even begin to provide an answer, the six students began glowing with the same light from a few minutes ago. Then, the light intensified around them, and completely engulfed them in brilliant color.

Starlight Glimmer watched in awe as the students were hidden from view within glowing bubbles of light. Then, all at once, the bubbles popped revealing their new forms.

Yona's braids were much longer and flowing free in magical breeze. Her hair also had an orange streak in it, and her horns were rainbow colored. Also, her legs had tiny orange apples on them.

Sandbar's tail had gotten a bit longer, and were flowing magically. Also, his mane and tail had a red streak in them. On his legs were tiny red lighting bolts.

Smolder's spines had violet stipes in them, and her horns, wing membranes, and underbelly were rainbow colored. On her arms and legs were tiny violet diamonds.

Silverstream's mane and tail were much longer and were flowing majestically. They also had rainbow stripes in them. Her wings were bigger, and they had several blue feathers in them. Her arms and legs had tiny blue balloons on them.

Ocellus's fin and tail had pink swirls within them, and her wings were rainbow colored. Her legs had tiny pink butterflies on them.

Gallus' wings had grown slightly, and they transitioned from his natural blue to a magenta, and from magenta into a dark purple at the tips. The end of his tail was rainbow colored, and his legs had tiny purple six-pointed stars on them.

On top of everything, all six of them were glowing and floating several inches off of the ground, and those with wings weren't even using them.

"Woah, I'm super cute!" Smolder said gleefully as she admired the marking on her arms and legs. Then her eyes widened and she blushed at what she just said. "Er, I mean, how do you guys feel?" she asked quickly.

Yona smacked her forehooves together and said, "Yona feels like she can smash whole big mountain to rubble!"

Starlight finally managed to find her voice and said, "It's the Tree of Harmony! It must have given you the Rainbow Power so you can defeat Cozy Glow!"

Sandbar nodded excitedly and said, "Just like how Princess Twilight and her friends defeated Tirek!"

Gallus smacked his right fist into the palm of his left talon and said, "Well then, what are we still doing here? Let's go and kick Cozy Glow's butt all the way to Tartarus!"

Silverstream flew over to Gallus and threw a foreleg around his shoulder affectionately, and said, "I'm right with you, Gallus!"

Gallus blushed a little, but didn't object to the gesture.

Ocellus shyly floated next to Sandbar and said with a confident smile, "I'm not afraid. . . I've never felt so . . . ready. We can do this!"

Sandbar nodded and said, "We will do this! Alright, everycreature!" Sandbar floated upwards towards the hole Cozy Glow had made and pumped his hoof in the air and pointed while shouting, "Let's go!"

As Starlight watched the six students zoom upwards after Cozy Glow, she smiled, confident that with the magic of Friendship on their side, there was just no way that they could lose.

Cozy Glow was gazing greedily at Canterlot Castle in the distance when she spotted something in the corner of her eye. She turned around and saw the six young creatures zooming towards her.

"WHAT!? Where did you get the magic to do that?!" she shouted.

Gallus flew out in a front and replied, "The Tree of Harmony of course! I told ya our friendship is magical!"

Cozy's face was a mask of fury as she snarled, "You meddling rejects! When I'm finished with you, I'm gonna rip that stupid Tree of Harmony out of the ground, AND THROW IT INTO THE SUN!"

Gallus turned to his friends and said, "Here we go! Are you all ready?"

"Of course!" Silverstream said cheerfully.

"Yona smash Cozy Glow!" Yona shouted with an eager smile.

"I'm ready!" Ocellus said with a nod.

"We're with you until the end!" Sandbar declared.

"C'mon! Let's take her down, already!" Smolder said impatiently.

Cozy Glow fired magical lasers from her horn at the group. The six of them scattered quickly, rolling and looping through the air to dodge Cozy's attacks.

As the gang regrouped, Smolder smirked and said, "Is that the best you can do, Cozy Glow?"

Cozy Glow actually cracked a smile at this. Then, she let out a chuckle and said, "Oh, by golly, it's just so funny! You six actually think you're a match for ME!?" She then rapidly fired three large balls of magic at the group.

Gallus flew forward and shouted, "I got this!" He pumped his wings hard and shot right through the balls, shattering them as if they were glass. The purple aura of magic protected him as he did so. However, a quick shot of magic from Cozy knocked him backwards before he get close to her.

"Gallus! Are you okay?" Silverstream asked worriedly.

Gallus smiled and gave a thumbs up. "Heh. It'll take more than that to take me down!"

"Then get a load of THIS!" Cozy shouted as she unleashed a flurry of magical thorns that swarmed towards the group.

"Look out!" Sandbar shouted, "It looks like some kind of homing shot!"

Ocellus flew forward and shouted, "Stay back! I'll handle this!" She then charged up power in her horn and released it, sending a shower of magical bolts with took out all of Cozy's magical thorns.

"You dopes!" Cozy shouted, "Why can't you understand that it's useless!"

Unafraid, Ocellus shouted back, "As an enlightened Changeling, I should know that stealing power from others is one of the most cowardly and underhanded things anycreature can do!"

Silverstream flew up next to Ocellus and chimed in, "Yeah! You're no better than the Storm King!"

"Cozy Glow gonna pay for this!" Yona added loudly.

"Oh please!" Cozy said with a confident smirk, "You can stall for time all you want! Not even the Tree of Harmony's magic can defeat me!" Cozy then pointed her horn at the three of them and fired out magical bolts wildly, the sounds of the shots making a series of "dakka-dakka" sounds. She moved her head left and right, create a wide arc of pain for the heroes.

Smolder speedily flew in from below and let out a huge gush of rainbow fire, which devoured Cozy's shots like 
they were bits of dry straw.

"No way! I can't believe this!" Cozy shouted, clearly frustrated by the students' persistence.

Smolder ended her attack and quickly caught her breath before shaking her fist at Cozy Glow and shouting, "Fake-cute freak!"

Gallus and Sandbar flew over to join their friends, and the six them floated before their foe, who was looking more frustrated than ever.

Gallus folded his forelimbs contemptuously and said, "Hmph! Did you really think you could make friends by stealing everypony's magic?"

Cozy narrowed her eyes at the griffon and said, "Fine! Maybe things might not have gone perfectly. In fact, things clearly haven't! But that's in the past! I played it by ear! I took chances! I took the plunge! And now look at me!"

Cozy Glow threw her head back and fired a beam of magic straight up into the air. Immediately, the sky was filled with dark storm clouds, and not a star could be seen. Lightning flashed and thunder boomed as Cozy smiled wickedly with a mad look in her eyes.

"I am Empress Cozy Glow!" she declared, "I posses all the magic in Equestria! And with all this power, I will rule over every single pony. . . no. . .every single creature. . . as the world's most supreme being!" 

"You're insane!" Ocellus shouted, her eyes wide with disbelief, and the smallest hint of fear.

"Out of my sight!" Cozy shouted as she flew backwards some ways, and then charged up her horn. Then, with a loud bang, Cozy fired a huge drill shaped magical projectile at them of them.

Silverstream shot forward, shouting, "I've stopped being afraid of the Storm King!" She soon met the attack, dipping under it slightly, and she grabbed the conical magic missile in her claws. Sparks flew as the hippogriff dug her claws into it. She groaned a bit as she strained to get a good enough grip on it. Then, she pumped her wings hard to fly upwards. Straining from the exertion, Silverstream managed to call out, "So there's no way I'd be afraid of you!"

With a burst of magical energy, Silverstream shot upward with enough force to turn the drill attack around in the opposite direction. She then gave it a kick for good measure, and it shot right back towards Cozy Glow. The evil Alicorn threw up a quick shield to defend herself, but the drill attack pierced through it and spun wildly a few inches away from her.

"Eeeeyaaah! No!" Cozy Glow shouted in panic.

Suddenly, the attack exploded in a burst of sparks and smoke. However, when it cleared, Cozy Glow was still flying in the air and looked angrier than ever.

Smolder stared at the villain and said, "Woah. . . she's tough. . ."

Ocellus gulped and wondered out loud, "Is she. . . invincible?!"

Sandbar put a gentle hoof on Ocellus' shoulder and said, "It's not over yet! She'll never win, cause she doesn't truly understand the magic of Friendship!"

When Cozy Glow heard this, she exploded with rage and shouted, "FRIENDSHIP IS POWER! But my power has to be stronger! The magic of millions of ponies against the friendship of 6 losers?! I will not lose here!"

Cozy held her horn up high and focused her magic into a ball. She closed her eyes and focused even more magic into it. She made the orb bigger and bigger and bigger, until it was twice the size of an Ursa Minor.

Cozy opened her eyes and flashed a wicked smile as she said, "It would take a miracle for you to survive this!" Then, with a swing of her horn, Cozy sent the massive ball straight at the six heroes, shouting, "NOW BURN! BURN TO ASHES!"

"Yona's turn!" Yona said gleefully as she flew straight at the massive orb. 

"Yona! What are you doing!?" Ocellus shouted fearfully.

Yona struck the enormous orb horn first,  and she pushed up against it with all her might. Sure enough, and much to the amazement of her friends, the orb quickly began losing speed. Yona let out a tremendous yak roar as she brought the orb to a complete stop. Then she rapidly began hitting it with her forehooves, right before she spun around and bucked it with both hind hooves, sending it flying right back at Cozy Glow. The Alicorn was struck with so much disbelief at what she was seeing that she was unable to gather her thought enough to do anything before the massive attack collided with her.

The six friends shielded their eyes from the light of the explosion. When it was finally safe to look, they could see Cozy Glow floating in mid air in a daze, her wings still flapping lazily as he her head was slumped to one side.

Everyone turned to stare at Yona, who was smiling proudly.

As everyone else had their mouths hanging open silently, Sandbar managed to stammer out, "Yona. . . that was. . . wow. . ."

"Sandbar's turn!" Yona said innocently.

Sandbar snapped out of his shock and nodded, "Yeah. You're right. This whole thing has been kinda. . . personal for me."

When Cozy Glow finally regained her senses, she saw that Sandbar was mere inches away from her.

"This is for giving ponies a bad name," Sandbar said strongly, and then, powered up by the Tree of Harmony's Rainbow Power, Sandbar began dishing out a major beatdown to the evil Alicorn. He flipped and spun around as he rapidly struck Cozy Glow's chest, shoulders, and head with his bare hooves. 

After about ten brutal seconds of this, Sandbar looked Cozy Glow in the eye and shouted, "And this is for making me pretend to disown and betray my friends in front of Neighsay!" Sandbar then raised then let out a battle cry as he rapidly punched Cozy Glow with his forehooves, the Rainbow Power causing his legs to move like twin jackhammers. Sandbar's battle cry harmonized perfectly with Cozy Glow's cry of fear and pain. Sandbar finished his attack by landing a powerful double hoof punch on Cozy that knocked her golden tiara off and sent her spinning away from him.

Sandbar flew back over to his friends, who looked at him in amazement.

Gallus nodded his head slowly and said, "Wow. Didn't know you had it in you, Sandbar."

Sandbar shrugged in said, "What? I love you guys. Anyway, I think we've worn her down enough. It's time for her to taste the rainbow!"

When Cozy Glow straighten up and got over her second attack induced daze, she saw that the six students had gotten into a hexagonal formation. A massive orb of light formed around them, and out of the orb shot six beams of light, each one the color of one of the Elements of Harmony.

Cozy flinched backwards as the beams immediately struck her and immobilized her. "Eeeeeyaaaaah!" she shrieked, "No! I have all the magic! I should be more powerful than six little creatures!"

The six beams converged into one massive rainbow beam that hammered into her and began to strip her of the stolen magic. Cozy shrieked even louder as she felt the magic being ripped right out of her and returned right back to its rightful owners across Equestria.

"WHY! I had it all! I had ultimate power! I had everlasting life!" Cozy shouted as her horn and golden regalia disappeared. She also began to shrink back to her normal size, "I was the Empress! I was a god!"

A metal cage appeared around the filly, and when the light finally faded, she found herself within the darkened confines of Tartarus. She looked over and saw that in a cage next to her stood Tirek himself, who was staring at her in surprise.

Cozy Glow put on her cutest smile and said, "Hey, neighbor." She then switched a devious smile and asked ominously as she gripped the bars of the cage, "Wanna be friends?"
