> Strange love > by silvercrystal432 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The visit > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Its been weeks since Tirek was defeated, but Twilight didn't feel happy at all about it. Her thoughts were always on him, thinking about him day in and day out. When the rainbow blast hit Tirek and the magic he stole returned to their owners and he was sent back to Tartarus, Twilight should have been happy she beat him, she should have been happy that she returned the stolen magic to everyone. But she wasn't. She felt, sorry for him. Hearing his screams of pain as the blast hit him made her feel sick to her stomach. She didn't like what she did, but she knew it was the only way of beating him. "I wonder if he is ok?" Twilight thought aloud. Closing the book that she was failing to read, Twilight let out a sigh and placed the book back on the shelf. Getting up from the sofa, Twilight made her way out of the library and towards her room and then to her balcony. Once on her balcony she put her hooves on the railing and looked up at the night sky. "Why do I feel so, sorry for him?" Twilight pondered. "Maybe I will go see mother tomorrow and see if I can convince her to let me go to Tartarus and talk to Tirek. Hopefully chatting with Tirek will make these strange feelings go away. I mean I should be glad he is defeated, but why do I feel so sad instead." Twilight stayed where she was a little longer staring at the night sky. Letting out another sigh, Twilight removed her hooves from the railing and walked back in her bedroom to get some sleep. Twilight flopped on her bed and wrapped herself up in her blanket before falling asleep. The next day Twilight woke up confused. She was dreaming of her and Tirek talking like they were old friends. "Why am I dreaming of him now?" Twilight put a hoof to her chin. "Now I really need to talk to him." Getting out of bed, Twilight walked down her crystal stairs to get some breakfast but when she got to the throne room she saw Spike sitting at the table reading a comic and next to him was a plate of pancakes for her. Smiling, Twilight went up to the table and sat down at her throne. "Thanks Spike." "No problem." Spike said still reading his comic. Twilight levitated a knife and fork in her magic and began to eat her breakfast. While Twilight was eating she had this expression on her face when she was in extreme thought. Spike looked up from his comic and noticed Twilight's expression. "Uhh, you ok Twilight. You look like your in deep thought." "Huh?" Twilight shook her head then looked at Spike. "Did you say something?" "Uhh, yeah, I said are you alright." Spikes concern grew. "Oh-" 'Should I tell him. He is my trusted assistant, and in some way my son. So I guess I can tell him.' "I've been thinking about Tirek lately." Spike was taken aback. He didn't expect that to hear that from Twilight. "Whyyy?" Twilight put a hoof to her forehead and shook her head slowly. "I don't know why. But, when we defeated him and imprisoned him back in Tartarus, I.... Felt bad for him." "What!? You feel bad for him!?" "I don't know why Spike! But I'm going to talk with my mother and see if I can get her permission to go to Tartarus and talk with him. Hopefully when I do I can get this resolved." Spike was calmed down but he was still a bit apprehensive. "Do you need me to go with you?" Twilight shook her head. "No. This is something I need to do alone." Spike knew that it would be pointless to argue with Twilight. Once she makes up her mind, she doesn't change it, no matter what. Arguing with Twilight is like arguing with a brick wall. Impossible. Defeated, Spike let out a sigh. "Alright Twilight, if you think talking to Tirek will help then I won't stop you." He said reluctantly. Twilight smiled and pulled Spike into a hug and nuzzled him. "Thanks Spike." "Hey, no problem. J-just be careful. Ok." Twilight released Spike from the hug and put him down. "I will, don't worry." Twilight got up from her throne and activated her horn. "I'll see you later Spike." She released the spell and teleported to Canterlot. "Bye. I just hope she doesn't get herself hurt." Spike said softly to himself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight teleported in front of the throne room doors in Canterlot castle. The long distance teleport took some wind out of Twilight, but she didn't have time to relax. She needed to see her mother right now. Opening the throne room doors, Twilight walked inside and saw her mom sitting on her throne with a few scrolls levitating in her magic. When Celestia heard the throne doors open she moved the scrolls out of the way to look at who it was. Celestia sprouted a smile when she saw that it was her daughter. She teleported the scrolls away and got up from her throne to meet Twilight. "Twilight! It's so good to see you." She said happily. Twilight smiled. "It's always good to see you too, mother." Celestia went up to Twilight and pulled her into a motherly embrace and kissed her forehead. After awhile they both parted. "So my wonderful daughter, what brings you here?" Twilight's smile fell for a second. "Uhh, you see mother, I was wondering if you will let me go to Tartarus for a second." Celestia's eyes widened. She didn't expect to hear Twilight wanting to go Tartarus of all places. "What do you wish to do there exactly." She asked suspiciously. Twilight audibly gulped. "I wish to speak with Tirek." Celestia grew more suspicious. "Why?" "Uhh, well, I have been thinking a lot about Tirek lately, and I was hoping that talking to him would resolve this issue." Celestia squinted her eyes at Twilight. "Hmmm." Celestia let out a sigh. "Very well. You are not a filly anymore and I know that, and I know I am very protective over you. I am glad you came to me to tell me. If this is what it will take to ease what you feel, then go ahead. I won't stop you." Twilight pulled Celestia into a big hug. "Thank you mother." She said happily. When they parted Celestia wore a frown. "Just... Be careful." Celestia's frown turned into an angry scowl. "If anyone in Tartarus hurts you and I find out, they will wish they were never born." Twilight took a step back. She only saw her mother THIS protective when she was a filly and there was a colt bullying her over reading so many books. Celestia said she kicked him out of the school, but Twilight knows that's not what really happened. "Mother." Snapping out of her rage, Celestia looked at her daughter. "Yes, Twilight." She smiled. "I'm heading out now." "Oh, well I hope all goes well. I will see you later my daughter." "Good-bye mother." Twilight waved then activated her horn and Teleported to Tartarus. "Good-bye sweet heart." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Twilight arrived at Tartarus and looked up at the massive black metal doors. Taking in a breath and letting it out, Twilight steeled herself. Activating her horn once more, she aimed it at a red crystal that sits at the top of the doors. The blast came out of her horn and hit the crystal. The ground began to shake and rumble as the doors to Tartarus opened. The most vile and evil beings were imprisoned here because of what they did. Twilight took in another breath and let it out before walking inside Tartarus. After awhile of walking, Twilight came across Cerberus, the three headed dog that guards worst of the worst. Using her magic, Twilight summoned a massive ball. "Go get it boy." She took the ball and threw it to the left with Cerberus chasing after it. When she saw that Cerberus was fully occupied she began her walk again before stopping on top of a hill which housed only prisoner. "Hehehe, well well well, look who it is. The blasted pony that imprisoned me here. Tirek spat. Twilight went up to his cage and sat down in front of it. "Hello, Tirek."
