> Don't Feel Alone-a Yona > by Devious Dazzle > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chance Meeting. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ‘Hearts And Hooves Day’ the one time of year that is full of innocence and love, the sky a pastel blue while fluffy white clouds were wafting across the horizon lazily. You spending such a wonderful day alone, sitting upon a old wooden bench watching the world pass by agonizingly slowly. Bouncy tails and elegant manes swishing and swaying to the musical sound of hoofsteps filling the local parks of Ponyville, your teeth gently biting upon your lower lip in a mild sense of defeat, so many mares about yet none a special somepony for you. Running a large hand through your hair you let your mind trace back to the past few days, Fluttershy far too busy with animals, Applejack rather buck than well you know and Rarity simply unavailable. Thoughts echoing back to a few years ago, when you woke up in this land of pastel ponies lost and confused. Were you to ever find a soul to call company, or perhaps you were cursed to live in a strange new world alone? “Hooves made of hearts boring! Yona ask ponies to dance, but ponies just run away!” The melodic sound of a odd creature rang out into the sky, an adorable small yak stomping over with a pout. Her pale green eyes full of innocence yet awkwardness, coat a sleek bronze color, her mane tied into braided pigtails. Body though small was extremely curvy with heft, small dainty tail swishing with each step as her muzzle was a beige hue topped with an large cute black nose. “Um…” “Did weird hooman say something to yak!?” The yak gave a scream out in a soprano tone, plopping down on the other side of the bench nearly sending you into orbit. “Just asking if you couldn’t find a date?” You let out a slight chuckle, feet lifting off the ground as the bench sunk to the lady's side. “Yona can find date! I simply choose not too!” A soft stream of steam escaping her nostrils. “I see, we all can’t be so lucky.” You simply shrug gazing off into the distance again. “Why hooman alone!? Hooman strong like yak, he should captivate the ponies!” “Phst, I’m not one of those warrior humans from legends. I was a groomer…” You feel your cheeks burn a bright red, the feeling of being a loser growing. “Groomer! Like washing dogs!” Yona narrowing eyes to me in confusion. “Something like that, you need to make a creature feel comfortable and beautiful.” “You can make ugly creatures pretty!?” The small yak gave a gasp in shock, her small hooves grabbing your shoulders before shaking you wildly. “Ahhh! I guess so!” You feel your world spinning as she lets you go, her large green eyes locking onto your own. “Can you make Yona pretty!? So ponies don’t run, when they see yak!” She spoke in an almost broken tone, slowly lowering her eyes to the ground below. “I don’t think I can help you…” You gave a quick glance up and down the small yak, her lower lip curving into a somber frown. “Yak thought as much, Yona far too…” Crystalline tears slowly forming along the edge of her eyes, welling up before tracing down her delicate cheek tenderly. “No! I meant that you already look beautiful, soft coat, silken mane and very elegant eyes.” You gave a sheepish chuckle, quickly looking away before a small hoof began tapping your hand. “You think yak cute?” She gave a whisper in surprise, cheeks burning a soft pink hue. “Well to be honest yes.” You lift your hand to her mane, giving it a long but firm stroke. The mane just as silken as you thought, soft as a cloud and tangle free with a wonderful brunette color. You could see her coo as you gave the pet freely, a grin crossing your lips as you gently started scratching along her right ear feeling her lower leg twitch with excitement. This small yak wanted to come off as powerful and mighty, yet deep down she was indeed a delicate little flower raised by the frozen winds and granted beauty by the snow. Taking a deep breath you pat your lap softly, Yona caught off guard by the gesture as she quickly nodded a no in reply. “Yak far too fat, Yona crush small hooman!” “Phst, as if a cutie like you?” You gave her a sly wink, the yak nibbling her lower lip in deep thought. Before you had time to brace for impact the yak slid atop your lap with a loud thud, the creaking of wood filling the air as you let out a soft umph. Her tail swishing side to side happily as you wrapped a strong arm around her, pulling the cute yak into a tender embrace. “So this is a cuddle?! Yona like being held like flower, makes yak feel small!” Yona lifting both hooves high into the air, your arms wrapping around her waist as you cuddled close. A few slender mares walking by with a fit of giggles in a mocking tone, yet you let the tiny yak know she was adored. Hands caressing her cotton like floof, your cheek gently nuzzling her own taking in the delicate scent of her mane. She was nothing like a pony, yet you found yourself entranced by her own charms. The yak turning to face you as she leaned in sweetly, her small pink tongue lapping over your lips followed by a somber silence. “Thank you hooman, you make yak feel wanted.” She slowly gave a wide yet delicate smile, eyes watching as the park soon became empty. Ponies and couples dashing off to the evening rush, nights filled with the promise of elegant meals and romantic nights alone. The sky turning a hazy warm orange, the crisp cool wind of the night pouring across the land. “You are welcome Yona was it?” You flash a smirk, her eyes darting away as she did a pounce onto the ground with a small cloud of dust. “Heehee, yes it was…” “Anon.” “Anon, you prob have night planned, yak won’t weigh hooman down!” Yona blushing a bright red, slowly starting to walk away with a cute prance. “I did have dinner reservations, just in case you know…” You spoke up the adorable ball of floof turning to face you, eyes meeting each other from a distance. “She must be excited yes!?” Yona let a giggle escape her lips. “I don’t know, would you like go out? Then you can tell me if you are?” You spoke swallowing a small lump in your throat, her eyes lighting up like fireworks in the night sky. It was quite the sight, that sadly nopony did see. A beautiful yak flying across the night sky, smashing into her hooman like a comet as wood exploded in every direction. The bench did not survive.
