> The Miracle Phoenix. > by Neutral Boy > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Prologue: Caretaker visit. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ever since the Fall Formal incident, Sunset Shimmer had a hard time of adjusting to reformation after Princess Twilight Sparkle and the five girls that Sunset bullied defeat and purified her demon form. Though unexpectedly before the Battle of the Bands, Sunset somehow found love interest of Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie on different days. After the siren sisters were defeated by the Rainbooms including the helps of Twilight and Sunset, their loving bond grew more and they decide to have a sleepover. Things were looking up for Sunset and the girls. . . . . Until the Mystable Account user started to appear online at CHS that's causing secrets exposed and friendships torn apart in classes like clubs, math, chemistry, gym, computer, library, cooking, auditorium, music, and outdoor activities. In the hallway commotion, there we see Sunset and her five girlfriends arguing over with Sunset being blamed for creating the horrible account. Although Sunset tried her very best telling her girlfriends that she's innocent and being framed by someone else, she wasn't prepared for what her girlfriends would say next. "You're not our friend!" "You secret stealer!" "How could you do this? After all we’ve been through together?!" "Ah’m sorry, but you did this to us. Tell whatever secrets you want. But we don’t have to listen.” "She-Demon." It felt like the whole world crumbled around Sunset when hearing those hurtful words from them and thinking that she went back to her old way. Yet after hearing them enough, she didn't break down on the floor and showed tears. "Fine." Sunset said in a venom tone which got the girls paused and confused. "If that's how you all truly feel about me, then we're no longer in a relationship anymore." Then as Sunset was about to walk away from them, she says something to each of the five girls that would later make them sad, depressed, guilt, broken, and regret for their own actions n hurtful words against their own girlfriend. "I'm really hurt that you girls would even dare to toss me away, like an old childhood reject toy." As Sunset walks off without looking back, no student notice a small tear leaving her face. During the lunch hour, Sunset sneaks off from detention after getting into a fight with Gilda and her goons, with them getting brutally beaten by Sunset as she heads over to her locker. She grabbed all the things she needs including her magic journal. Before heading outside, she walks over to the principal's office and pulls out a paper to write. 'Dear Principal Celestia, Sorry if this maybe pains you later. Due to the unknown Anon-A-Miss user of causing amount of chaos in this school and me being framed by it, I can no longer attend to this stupid school that would turn their backs on me, just because I used to be bad and wanted to make up for my foolish mistakes. I'll be going somewhere else that'll perhaps help me and no, I'm not going back home Equestria. Not yet at least and don't even bother of looking or finding me. Your former student/ex raging she-demon, Sunset Shimmer.' 'P.S. To everyone at CHS, have fun dealing with magical disasters on your own without me nor Twilight helping you.' 'P.S.S Please cut down on your favorite snacks, Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna.' Nodding to herself, Sunset folds the paper, pushes it under the door, and head out the doors. After heading outside, Sunset walks over to the statue and slowly slides down to the floor beside the portal. "I really wish you were here right now, Twilight." Sunset whispered. "Sunset?" When her name was spoken, she lifted her head up to see Flash Sentry as she frown and glares at him. "What are you doing out there? Shouldn't you be back to class?" Sighing to herself, Sunset gets up and begins to walk up to Flash. Confused on why she didn't answer, Flash didn't expect her to kick him in the groin. He yelps in pain as he uses both his hands to cover the pain, but not really helping out. "That, was for being a dumb-ass during the Battle of the Bands competition, hurt Twilight's feelings, and never even of sticking up for me of being wrongfully accused." Feeling a bit better, Sunset turns around and walks away from him. After passing by the statue, she stops for a moments and glances towards Flash. "Goodbye Flash." She says with a small smile before resuming her walk. Stuggling to get up or even crawl, Flash looks to see Sunset walking further away and tries to speak up. "S-SUNSET! WAIT!!! SUNSEEEET!!!" ~*5 hours later. . .*~ After walking into some several difficult routes, Sunset was finally out of Canterlot city. "Hum. It's the first time of leaving Canterlot behind without my demon form to crumble it all down." "Bummer, would've love to see their terrified faces and my exes. Now where should I go to next?" Follow. . . Sunset pauses for as she looks for the strange from both directions before she shrugs. "Weird." Follow the small flames. . . She stops from walking further as the voice grew a bit loud. Her eyes focus on multiple small images of white flames and go forward out in the distance away from Canterlot. Sunset shook her head, not knowing of what is really happening here. "What are these flames leading me at?"Sunset's mind question before she follows the flames. "Okay, I'll follow these stupid flames. Frickin voice." As Sunset followers the unknown white flames for a few mins, she looks to discover a beautiful building with a sign near it called the Everfree Caretaker Center. "Huh, a caretaker center." When she walks further close to the building, she notice the white flames have vanished at the door. "The white flames disappeared inside the building." With her eyes narrowing at the door, she proceeds to walk up and knock on the door. "Hello?" Sunset called out. She waited for about a minute or two, but no one answered her. "I'm sure no one doesn't mind that I can come in." Sunset reaches for the door handle and surprised that it's unlocked. She opens the door and walks in before closing it. She then turns around and her eyes widen in shock and surprise. There were many kinds of different kids with blindness, deaf, scar, bald, crippled, etc. "I never knew there would be so many kids with serious bad problems." Sunset muttered sadly. She tries to greet them politely to them, but most either ignore her or not paying attention. Frowning that it didn't work, she walks slowly looking for where the white flames are hiding at. Look by the window corner. . . Answering the voice, Sunset turns her head to see a grown kid sitting in the corner in a fetal position. The white flames that Sunset tries to look for appears in front of her feet and proceeds to move forward slowly towards the boy as they circle around and disappear. "Is this the one? He doesn't seem different, except no one is paying attention to him or why he's in the corner." "Ahem!" Startled, Sunset yelps and turns her to see a little kid with an eyebrow raised looking at her. "Can I help you lady?" The kid said in a rude tone. Sunset decide to let that one slide and answers politely. "Hello there little one. I was actually wondering on who's the kid in the corner?" When Sunset points her finger to the boy in the corner, the kid turns his head and glares at the boy. "That's Kimba." > Chapter 1: A volunteer job. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Listen girl, if I were you I wouldn't be friends with him. He's just a trouble making piece of s-" "Jacob!" A loud girl voice shouted. The boy known as Jacob froze and slowly turns his head to see a woman glaring at him. Sunset also sees her and decides to not intervene while looking at her. The girl has on mix blue/green/lime ponytail hair, one right eye covered by her hair, blue jacket, purple shirt, black jeans, and purple goggles on her top head. "What have I told you about not being mean to Kimba and name calling?" "B-But I-" He was cut off when she taps one of her feet. "In the corner, now." She says in an ordered tone. Jacob flinches and shakily nods his before walking away from the three people. The ponytail hair girl sighs and turns her head looking at Sunset and smiles. "Sorry about that, my name is Rain. I work here as a long time volunteer." Rain said offering a handshake. "Sunset Shimmer." Sunset says as she gladly shook her hand. "Rain, why was that boy Jacob being rude to Kimba?" Rain glances over to Kimba as she makes a sad sigh. "Kimba has a very long bad past history than almost everyone else." "How bad exactly Rain?" Rain then leans over to Sunset's right ear and whispers to her. "To put it in short; Kimba is both blind, deaf, and can't speak very well." Sunset's eyes widen and looks over at Kimba who's hiding his head under between his legs. "That's why me and my group are like very protective guardians to him since then." When Sunset is feeling pity, worry, and sympathize of Kimba's bad past that perhaps is more painful than hers, she thought up of some thinking in her mind before an idea popped up and talks to Rain again. "Hey Rain?" "Yeah?" ". . . Is it okay if I can have a volunteer job?" Rain stares at her and tilts her head. "You want to join in a volunteer job here?" "Yes and to well uh, maybe join in on protecting Kimba?" Rain hummed at the idea of Sunset joining before she agrees and have a talk with Sunset later. "Alright, I'll talk to one of my friends and they can take you to our boss in a few minutes." Rain eventually walks over to Kimba, bends down on her knees, and lightly shakes Kimba's black hair. "Kimba?" Kimba turns his head and slowly opens up his eyes, only it shows white eyes. "I'll be back soon, I promise." She says before kissing his forehead and gets back up. Rain then heads over to Sunset as she suddenly puts both hands on her shoulders and whispers to her. "Heed my advice Sunset; If anything should ever happen to him, I won't be very nice next time." Sunset shakily nods as Rain retracts her hands, walks over to the coat racks, and calls for someone. "Scarlett?" "Yes Rain?" A girl voice answers back. Rain turns her head to see her friend Scarlett walking towards her. She has on a mix magenta hair, two pony pig tails, brown eyes, right eye covered by her hair, nurse t shirt, and black shorts. "Keep an eye on those two while I'm here or perhaps I have gone off somewhere." Scarlet nods to Rain as she grabs her coat, talks to a friend of hers, and heads outside to somewhere while Scarlett watches Sunset try to somehow find a way to interact with Kimba as Scarlett lets out a small giggle. 'This should be interesting.' Her mind says as she hums and takes out her favorites book and reads it. 'I wonder what else is going to happen next?' Outside, Rain is seen jogging fast until she stops at one of the shops. She takes out her cellphone and dials numbers on it as it rings. The number then picks up as Rain frowns and talks to someone on her phone. "It's me, are you still available? Good, I need to speak with you. It's very important." A minute or so later, Rain hangs up her cellphone and heads inside a bar shop. > Chapter 2: Fields & fever. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two human figures are seen in the fields with a few trees and calming breeze of melody. One is male and the other is a female. The female human is walking with the male to relax close to a tree. They sit closely together and enjoying the time flying by and the fresh breeze flowing. He couldn't hear of what she was saying to him as he felt something on his cheek and goes to sleep. The scene changes of a dark rainy night with the sound of a sad melody. A female is lying on the ground unresponsive while the male tries his best to wake her up. Blood is flowing away from the female's body and tears were shown from the male's eyes. Several other figures enter the scene as they all mourn for the female and comforting the male. Scarlett wakes up from her nap and yawns before stretching up both her arms. She looks to see Kimba sleeping at his usual corner with Sunset sleeping beside him with some open books and papers. Smiling, she gets up to grab some foods to eat for herself. Later she comes back to check up on Kimba and rubs his left shoulder. "Kimba, wake up." She sweetly whispers to him. She then notices that he's suddenly begins to shiver all over his body. "Kimba?" Curious, Scarlett uses her right hand to touch his forehead as her eyes widen in realization. "Oh no." Scarlett then turns toward Sunset and shakes both her shoulder to help wake her up. "Sunset, please wake up." Sunset groans in her sleep and felt that someone's disturbing her nice dream. Her eyes were slowly open and sees the look of Scarlett filled with worry and scared. She rubs her eyes together and speaks to Scarlett. "Scarlett, what's wrong?" "I need your help, Kimba is having a fever again." Meanwhile at Camp Everfree. . . A car is seen driving on the road with one girl driving and another girl sleeping in the passenger seat. "What am I gonna do with you, Contralto?" Driver girl said sighing. The driving girl is named Esbern. She has long violet hair, dark green eyes, t shirt of Camp Everfree, brown boots, and black shorts. The one beside Esbern is Contralto. She has long mixed pink hair, light blue eyes, same shirt as Esbern, purple shoes, and purple shorts. Some time ago back in Camp Everfree, both Esbern and Contralto were working hard with Gloriosa Daisy, Timber Spruce, and a few others set up everything for the next meeting. Although, Esbern did glance at her friend falling behind and her eyes have like lost their spark. Esbern did try to ask Contralto if she needs help, but her friend dismissed her multiple that she's doing fine, even though it's not true of the way she says it from her mouth and felt like she could collapse. So Esbern had no choice, but to knock her out in the head and carrying her on her back. Esbern told her friends that both of them will be back at another as she heads toward her car and put her unconscious friend in the passenger seat before going to her driver seat and start the engine. Now Esbern is driving at night being careful to not hit anything, until her phone suddenly rings. She parks her car at the white line for a moment and picks up the phone to see that her friend is calling. She opens it up and starts speaking. "Hey." She hears some panic on the other end of the phone as her eyes widen on what her friend is saying. "What? Is Kimba okay?" Her friend is explaining everything to her as she sighs and rubbing both her eyes. "Alright, we'll be on our way in a little bit." Elsewhere. . . Inside the Sparkle family house, a nerdy Twilight Sparkle is awake working on her researching while her pet dog assistant Spike is sleeping in his doggy bed. Twilight has been working on most of the night finding out the weird signatures and unknown origin of this mysterious cause coming from Canterlot City. The only problem is that her new device is picking up readings at Crystal Academy's rival, Canterlot High School and she cant be seen by a lot of students there. Another weird thing is that her device isn't just pointing at CHS, but perhaps somewhere else and it lost the signal multiple times. Shaking her head in annoyance of those thoughts, Twilight gets back to her work studies. "Let's see, the difference between here and there. . ." Twilight murmurs. While Twilight is busy studying, her device suddenly glows and has begun to vibrate out of control. The device moves off the table and onto the ground, alerting her as she looks down to see her device is shaking like having a seizure. "Why is my device acting so crazy?" She leans down and picks up her device off the ground and hold it both of her hands. She gently shakes it a few times until it suddenly stops and the glowing radar disappears. Shaking her head, she places her device back on her table desk. Before going back to work, Twilight hears whimpering coming from behind her. She turns around to see Spike shivering and whimpering. "Spike?" Twilight walks away from her studies and picks up her dog into her arms, comforting him. "There, there, it's okay Spike. I'm right here." She whispers, rubbing his back. She looks at her clock that it's getting close to midnight. "I guess I can just call it a night." So Twilight decides to turn off her a couple of lights, pack up her studies, and goes to her bed while still still comforting her dog who's still shivering. As she goes to sleep, her dog is still eyeing that weird device on her desk. The next thing, Spike sees some strange black smoke forming around the device, showing a figure's face with a nasty evil grin. Frighten at the scary figure, Spike doves into Twilight's blanket covers as the black smoke disappears.
