> The Christian Fleet > by Robert Emerald Fountain > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The Call > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- One evening as school let out, Twilight's office phone rang. The LCD said: Incoming Call, Christian Fleet. Excited, Twilight put on the headset and pressed "Talk". "Good Evening, and thank you for calling the School of Friendship.", Twilight said. Good Evening Twilight, this is Link, we are planning to come to Equestria in a couple of days. We will get better acquainted with some of the ones we crossed with recently. See you soon.", said a familiar voice on the other end of the line. "Alright, Admiral, we will be expecting you.", said Twilight before hanging up. Twilight started by telling her friends the news, then Rainbow volunteered to send the news to Canterlot. "Neighsay might have gotten over when they stunned him.", said Fluttershy. "You're probably right, or he may not have.", said Twilight in return. "However he might have the urge to tour their ship." "Who knows? He could possibly try to tell them to leave at once.", said Rarity. "That would just be rude." "You are correct, they are really nice, but Neighsay might not care.", said Pinkie Pie as she finished a triple chocolate cupcake. "We will find out when they arrive, I guess.", said Twilight, as they prepared for the arrival. > Notification > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight began writing letters to everyone she could think of, while Rainbow sent word to Canterlot about the big event. Ever since the ERS started, Neighsay was no longer based in Canterlot, but he was on vacation there for the moment. "I have gotten over when they shot me. However, I must ask one question. Who are they? I ask because Twilight only gave slight information when they defended the school.", Neighsay asked. "The fleet is a group of responders who are well acquainted with many of us. They are allies who have helped us protect Equestria from Satan. He is a powerful, dark, evil adversary, and he is the master of lies, stealing, and temptation.", Rainbow explained as she notified other ponies, including the princesses, before moving on to the Crystal Empire. Neighsay was intrigued by her description, and how they knew the way to protect citizens like them from someone that powerful. Cadence was excited to hear that the fleet would be coming too, even Flurry Heart giggled happily, and cooed. Dash then moved on to Cloudsdale, and notified her parents, her childhood friends, and the Wonderbolts. At once, all of Equestria began to gear up for the arrival of The Lemurian Star, and her 20 member crew, along with the crew's other allies. The Young 6 were excited and proposed rolling out the red carpet for the fleet. "You read my mind, Ocellus.", said Twilight, after hearing the proposal of the plan. Twilight then went to the Everfree Forest, to test the lights on the landing pads. The lights were working in perfect order. Everything was ready for the next day. > The Fleet arrives > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next morning... Everypony had set their alarms to get up early. Neighsay heard a loud sound outside as what seemed to be giant engines, powering up and firing. He arrived in Ponyville, just in time to see a huge ship descending into the Everfree Forest. On the ship's hull were the words "C F S Lemurian Star", and it was fierce looking. Twilight escorted him to the landing pad, once the all-clear was given. The walkway had already been extended to the ship, and the crew was emerging. "Greetings, Neighsay. I am Brandon, Captain of the Lemurian Star, Admiral of the Brandonians, and one of many soldiers in the Christian Fleet.", said a handsome teenage boy with blue eyes, and blond hair, as he came forth. "Also, I am glad that you have gotten over when I stunned you when you talked back to me." "Good morning, Captain.", said Celestia. Another teenager introduced himself as Colin, he was the Commander, and Brandon's first officer. He had his own fleet, The "Lava Warriors" of the volcanic planet, "Magmux", of which he was the Admiral. Brandon's cousin Stephen was one of two lieutenants on the great ship. The highest officer was Admiral Link. All of the crew members were dressed nicely. They wore navy blue uniforms with hats similar to those in a Navy. Their black leather boots were polished so well, that a laser pointer would be reflected cleanly off of them. Their belts said "Christian Fleet" on the shiny polished platinum buckles in bronze lettering. The red carpet was rolled out, and the officers began to give tours of the ship, as well as history reports about the early fleet. > Acquaintances > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neighsay was intrigued by the arsenal that the crew had, as well as the tools they had for any situation, even a whole slew of medical equipment, and gear for missions. They had some fierce weapons, and an air-force, along with submarines for underwater work. "What is with the charts for Twilight and several of the others?", Neighsay asked Brandon in curiosity. Calmly, Brandon pointed out a special probe that was designed to be surgically implanted. This was a tracker that showed vital signs, emotions, and brain function for whoever it was placed in. The crew had probes as well. "We request permission to give you one. However, you must abide by our regulations if you do this.", Brandon said with a firm tone in his voice. Neighsay accepted the offer, and he was led to the operating room. Brandon changed into his scrubs, and Colin helped him by watching the monitors. He put the probe in Neighsay's heart, and part of the system in his brain. The sites were healed in a short amount of time with a special formula. "This is called Genesis.", he explained. "It is a chemical that can heal wounds rapidly, help keep you alive during surgery, and resurrect you if you're dead." History was given to everyone who did not know anything about the fleet. They first met Satan when he attacked Canterlot on Twilight's coronation day. At that time, he had to anchor himself outside of his realm by wearing a bracelet. Brandon cut it off when he was angered at a point when Satan tried to kill Link. However they figured out that they inadvertently released him from a place of peace, before this. Link was learning to pilot a spaceship when he crashed into a mysterious pillar of some kind. Brandon saved Link, but the damaged pillar caused a portal to open up to this peaceful place. Satan was released and became upset, and started a rampage to hunt whoever it was that released him. "He continues to fight to this day.", Link said. > Peace Agreements > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following week... A document read: "I promise to abide by all rules and regulations of the Christian Fleet. I will not use any of the knowledge or tactics against the fleet. I promise to assist in the mission to pound Satan into oblivion. If I break this oath, I will no longer be instated in the fleet. Signed, Neighsay" This was a commitment of peace to the crew of the Lemurian Star, and all branches of the Christian Fleet. It was time for Brandon to take some of their allies from Equestria through rigorous training to prepare them for any sort of mission. This training would include parachuting, shooting, and many other essential elements of war. > Training > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next day, everyone showed up for their training time. First was Colin, who was teaching how to properly pull a parachute rip-cord. He had them go tandem with instructors first, then he saw if they could do it themselves without help. Later, "Okay you all, it is time for something more advanced. You will now jump, but not touch the cord. It is tethered to the plane.", Colin announced. "Are you nuts, Commander?", asked Neighsay with worry. "We might get stuck and never land." Brandon laughed, and then he explained the concept. "This is called an automatic rip-cord. It has a carabiner that you must attach to a metal loop on the plane's door. Then, once the line goes taut, or tight, the cord is pulled for you. In other words, you can jump, and your chute will open on its own." Neighsay was skeptical, but once he tried it out, the concept worked successfully. He jumped with the cord attached to the plane, and once it had tightened, the chute opened. Eventually, all of the allies were trained in the skills they needed. Those that were trained long ago, were given updated training to bring them up to speed. Neighsay was confident about any rescue mission at this point.
