"Thank you! Thank you!" Rainbow grabbed the mic off its stand as her pony ears faded away and shouted into it over the cheers. The Rainbooms had just performed yet another show, making it the third this week.

"Thank you for coming tonight! Hope you enjoyed our performance!" She sat the mic back down as the crowd cheered, slowly making their way back to the mall. "Thank you, thank you!" Rainbow looked smugly at the crowd. Recently, the only thing that she could care about was her fans and nothing else.

"Nice work guys!" Rainbow said, barely looking at the other members of the band, who were all tired of playing, their throats and finger sore form the constant shows and practices. "Well, you better go get some rest, we have another show tomorrow!" Rainbow said as she picked up her guitar case.

"What!? Another one?!" Pinkie shrieked. "Since when?" She threw her hands up in the air and sighed. "Ohhh....."

"Since ever!" Rainbow replied as she got up. "Ya know, for my fans." She turned around. "Oh yeah, Fluttershy? I expect a new song tomorrow okay? The ones that we have now is boring. We'll meet at my house tomorrow to practice okay?" Not waiting for a response, Rainbow ran down the stairs.

"I side with Pinkie...." Sunset said as she rubbed her sore fingers. "We have been playing since Monday! and a few hours at a time too!" She bent down and picked up her case. "Ever since we...Rainbow started having 'fans' we have been playing every other day, and now...." Sunset looked at her friends.

"Tell me about it..." Twilight croaked. "I have been singing my heart out with the high notes, literally..." She rubbed her throat. "I have never sung that much ever..."

"Well Dash has been puttin a little too much time inta our band these few days, but I'll bet it'll die down in abit." She looked over to Fluttershy. "I sure hope it would, if not ah have a feelin you'll be writing a new song everyday...."

But little did they know what was awaiting them.

"Come on guys! Pick up the slack! Come on!!" Rainbow hollered at friends. "How are we gonna perform if I have a bunch of lazy band members?!"

"Well, it would help if ya let us rest a while! We have been at this for 5 hours!" Applejack shouted back. "a little rest would do all of us some good ya know!"

Rainbow glared at the girl. "What do you mean rest!? We have a performance today! You guys need to get to it!" She turned to Fluttershy, who instantly flinched. "Have you finished the song?" She held out her hand.

"Erm...no?..." Fluttershy said. There were bags under her eyes. "I fell asleep....." She looked away.

"What!? Argh, now we have to do another song we've learnt before." Rainbow said. "Okay, we'll do 'Hope shines eternal' okay? Get to work!" Rainbow worked on tuning her guitar while the rest of the band groaned.

"Rainbow, we have been performing all week, we need some rest you know?" Sunset said as she stood up, walking to Rainbow. "You know, you shouldn't keep this up just for the fans, not even superstars perform everyday I bet." She gestured to her friends. "Look at them, we are all beat. Poor Twi even lost her voice."

"True." Twilight said from the corner of the room.

"Whatever, we'll just get someone to sub her." Rainbow said as she reached out to grab Sunset's guitar. "I'll help you tune it." She said, turning the pegs roughly.

"Rainbow! Don't turn them so much! You are stretching the string too much and putting too much pressure on the pegs..." Sunset tried to snatch the instrument back, but it was too late.

Sunset stared at the scene before her. Rainbow had somehow tightened the string so much that the whole peg snapped into two. "What....?" Sunset stared at her guitar. She would never play from it again. "Rainbow....." Sunset's mouth hung agape, lost for words.

"Oops, sorry." Rainbow said, said as she returned the guitar, absolutely no apologetic tone in her voice. "It must have been too old...."

"What do mean 'too old'?!" Sunset was shouting now. Due to this 'performing' business, she had to skip out on a visit to Equestria to meet Twilight, bandage all her fingers and the latest, break her new guitar. "I just bought it! You were there!" She glared at the girl. "And you weren't even sincere with you apology!"

Rainbow waved her hand. "If I had known that it would be that lousy, I would have picked another one." She rolled her eyes. "Just use your old one or something, it's fine." She walked off towards Pinkie, leaving Sunset in her own ball of fury. "Pinkie! You call that drumming?!"

"What?!" Pinkie said, she too, like the rest of the girls, was tired of hearing Rainbow's voice.

"You have to play harder! Louder! How are you gonna keep the band's rhythm right if we can't even hear what you are playing?" Rainbow said. "I hired a drummer, not someone who just sits there, hitting pots and pans you know?!"

"Ugh! do you even know how draining this is?!" Pinkie complained. "My arms hurrrrt....." She played with the sticks in her hands. "Sunny's right, you have been too obsessed your fans that you don't even care about us anymore, and we are your friends!" Pinkie crossed her arms and pouted.

"Well, I do care about you guys, care that you guys would help boost my popularity!" Rainbow said as she walked toward Rarity. "I can't be a one man band you know."

Rarity glared at Rainbow. "You would be if you continued this way!" She shouted. "You don't even spare a thought for us anymore! You don't care!"

"Ugh, unlike me, all you care about is fashion and models and whatnot!" Rainbow shouted back. "I mean, look at what you are wearing! Really, we are in a house, not a catwalking carpet of some sort!" She crossed her hands. "And it looks terrible! If you are gonna wear that to perform later, I'll rather you not be there!"

Rarity gasped. "All right then...." She muttered, just as Fluttershy came over to comfort her.

"And you, have you finished the song!?" Rainbow asked. "Is it too much to ask from you? Huh? It's just some simple words put together! You seriously can't even do that?"

"That's enough Dash!" Applejack stepped forward. "Are you alright Shy?" She asked, before facing Rainbow. "Look at her, she's tired, we're all tired! Can't you just stop!? We've been at this for ages! And it's all for your what?! Popularity!?" Applejack glared at the girl. "you don't even consider our opinions before you set us up for the performances!"

"Yeah!" Pinkie said. "Today is Gummy's birthday! And since I have to be here at this dumb rehearsal I don't even want to be at, he has to celebrate alone!!!!!" Steam could be seen coming out of Pinkie's ears as she said that.

"Well, Gummy's not even a living thing!" Rainbow shouted. "He's...no...IT'S a stuffed animal! They don't have birthdays! You always think that everything is a joke, a party! Well, it is not I'm telling you, NOT!"

Pinkie stopped talking. She backed off, whimpering slightly as Sunset walked over to comfort her. "Rainbow, you are hurting your friends without realising it!" Sunset tried to reason with Rainbow. "You are forcing them to do what they don't want to do!"

"Forcing them!?" Rainbow snapped. "They can leave the band whenever they like! I'll just find replacements for these betrayers!"

Sunset's eyes widened. "Rainbow....?"

"You can do whatever you like! You can celebrate your stuffed toy's birthday, sew clothing and visit Princess twilight for all I care! I don't even need you guys anyway!!" Rainbow said, her arms crossed.

"Fine then!" Rarity said as she stood up. "I don't want it anyway!" There was a collective nod from everyone in the room, even Twilight, who stood next to Sunset.

"Fine, leave! You guys are useless anyways! Not helpful nor understanding!" Rainbow walked to her front door and swung it open. "I'm still having the concert tonight. Please, DO.NOT.COME!!!" Rainbow shoved them out and slammed the door shut loudly behind them. I don't need them at all, this way, I won't have to share my fame!

Rainbow turned and walked towards her bed, walking past Sunset's broken guitar and Pinkie's drums. I can run this band myself, and I'll prove it!
