> My Girl Is A Tsundere > by Mister Phoenix > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > It's Not Like I Like You > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “I’m going to do it!” It was Babs Seed, Apple Bloom’s favorite cousin that broke The Crusaders talking between themselves. The school’s cafeteria was always noisy and chaotic, but when something weird or something stupid. Anyone could hear it, and Babs Seed wants to do something stupid. “Really? Ya just going to walk up to the most popular boy in school and ask him to prom?” Apple Bloom wondered, raising her eyebrow in disbelief. Babs tucked on her dumb school uniform, a long red skirt, and a white blouse. Babs took a bite from her meal before standing up. “Bet you ten bucks that she hits him,” Scootaloo said, looking over to her friends, slamming the money on the table. “You are so on!” Sweetie said, pulling out a bend and crooked ten dollar bill. “Yeah. Ahem in too. I have faith in her.” Apple Bloom said, putting the ten dollars on the pile. Babs Seed walked up to him; Spike Drake, top student, football star and with his dashing good looks and winning personally he easily became the most popular boy in school. Heck, almost every girl wanted to be with him and then he went out and go together with a senior, with made it more impressive. Spike was leaning back in his chair, his right arm was resting on an empty chair that sat next to him and most girls would fight to the death to just sit in and besides the dreamboat Spike. Sharing a laugh with his friends, the tough girl Ember who would break your arm if you looked at her the wrong way. Thorax, a little on the nerd side wasn’t that well liked, but Spike seemed to like him. And sometimes Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon would try to sit at his table wanting to hit on him. Saying that they don’t mind ‘sharing’ him. Normally wiggling their eyebrows and sending over flirtatious winks to the teen. “Umm, Spike,” Babs spoke, in a somewhat shy tone of voice rubbing her foot against the floor. Spike got up from his seat, looking at her with a smile. The whole cafeteria got deadly silent, all eyes were on the situation that was happening at the moment. Light coughing could be heard while the sound of a machine was much louder than before. ‘Why was everything so quiet’ Babs wondered in her mind “Hey Babs, what is it?” Spike asked Being childhood friends with Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle. He had met Babs Seed a few times when she visits, but now she lives in the same city they do and the goes to the same school. Then, Bang. It was loud, it was fast, it was seen by everyone in the room. Babs Seed had just punched Spike right in the face. Scootaloo’s joyful laugh, the loud of her fist colliding with his face, the crushing noise the echo through the cafeteria. Thorax quickly rushed up to his friend, help Spike up and taking him straight to the school nurse. Babs' face was bright red, everyone looked at her like she just broke a law. Ember didn’t say anything when the tall girl walked past Babs. Only gave her a cold dead stare, that made Babs avoid eye contact with the toughest girl in the school. It was either something weird or something stupid. Never both, never something good. Babs Seed hanged her head low, wanting to avoid the stares that were burning at her. She could hear those loud whispers about her, calling her an idiot, some word was much stronger than others. It still hurt to hear them talk about her that way. The worst thing is, this is nothing new. Babs always had a rocky relationship with Spike. She had always been a bully to him, only because she had a huge crush on him and find it hard to find the words to tell him the truth. Normally ending up by giving a hard punch or kick to his stomach. “Well, better luck next time,” Sweetie spoke, Babs released a sigh “Why do I hit him? I just don’t understand.” Babs said, her head crashed against the table. “If it makes you feel better, everyone was expecting it. So, no harm was done, I guess.” Scootaloo gave a shrugged Babs lifted her head to glare at Scootaloo for a few seconds before plating her forehead back on the table letting out mumble reply to them. “I think I gave the poor guy a black eye. What if he hates me, and how are you three so cool with this!?” Babs asked the Crusaders looked at each other. “We grew up with the guy. Only see him as a brother, you the only one in this group that all doll eye for him.” Sweetie explained “Ya should apologize to him after punching him for no reason. Plus it ya other chance to ask him.” Apple Bloom said “Please, he most likely going with Ember. The school has already voted that those two are most likely going to be together.” Babs gave a pout “Perhaps.” Babs noticed the expression on their faces since each of them was wearing it. All besides Scootaloo were terrible at lying, meaning that they knew something that she didn’t. And it ignored the heck out of her. “Spill it. You know something I don’t so what is it?” Babs asked arms folded, eyebrow raised. The Crusaders looked at each other, soft whispering, Babs could barely hear a word that was shared between those three. Her fingers tapped against the table. “We can’t, we promise Spike we wouldn't!” Apple Bloom spoke for the group “A Pinkie Promise, she’s terrifying when you break a promise.” Sweetie shiver in fear. Babs rolled her eyes, “Forget it, I’m out.” Babs slammed her hands against the table, slugging her bag over the shoulder as she left the cafeteria. Whoever was talking about her, once Babs walked past their all shut their lips. The pure rage that filled her eyes, the way how her feet stomped against the hard ground. The fact that her hands were either shaking or was curled up to make a fist. That door slam with that anger made everyone in the room jump in their seats. “Stupid Crusaders, stupid Spike for being handsome and cool,” Babs mumbled under her breath The halls were strangely quiet, it was almost impossible to even hear your own thoughts in these halls. Normal balls kicked the lockets, people blasting their music, gossiping girls that chatter and then let out this annoying laugh together. People racing down the halls to see which one is faster, boys or up stuck girl who think their all that and more. Would push pass anyone who they deem “unworthy” normally staying close to their groups of friends that did anything the leader said. There were a couple of normal who just grab their books and leave, well until they run into a friend and the chatter begins. But now, everything was nice. The only thing was the random bird that flew through the halls since the main window is always open during the day. Babs sigh, knowing its best to face the doom now with Spike alone, rather than have her parents and his parents meet up at school. Again, about her hitting him, again. Spike’s folks are nice people, they always knew that Babs means no harm. The school nurse, Ms. Zecora is great, just a little bit on the strange side. She only spoke in rhyme, but she was so good at her job that no one really cared. Plus Babs overheard most of the boys find her smoking hot. Which just made Babs hit her head thinking about those meathead guys. “Nice shiner Spike.” Babs heard Ember’s voice say in the other room. “Yeah, Twilight is going to kill me after class and then want to know who gave it to me,” Spike spoke in his chilled out voice, not caring about what the world throws at him. ‘Wait, why did he call Ms. Sparkle by her first name?’ Babs thought “Sorry to hear that Spike,” there’s Thorax voice, his somewhat soft but kind voice. “I’m sure it won’t be too bad.” He said, Babs just picturing him shrugging his shoulder while wearing a smug grin. Spike let out a laugh, “Maybe, I still have one last playing card to use against her. But, after I use it she might just kill me then bring me back just to do it again.” ‘Wait, is he blackmailing Ms. Sparkle? What the heck Spike?!’ “But, that’s family. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.” Babs blushed in embarrassment, she was glad that no one can see her large apple colored face at the moment. “Hey, Spike.” Ember spoke up, “You want to go to the prom together" ‘Yep. Not point.’ “I kind of want to ask another girl out, sorry Ember, but I have a strange crush on her,” Spike said Babs' eyes widen in excitement, she pressed her ear against the door, hoping by some random miracle that it could or might be her. “Cool, want about you Thorax. Ya free?” Ember didn’t seem to care about what Spike just said Babs heard Thorax's chair crashing against the wall, and then him quickly standing up. Babs was wondering if he was trying to act ‘cool’ “Sure, sure. Sounds great!” Thorax voice loud, Babs started to wonder if he liked Ember. “Cool, whatever" and there’s Ember only caring about herself and sometimes Spike. “Ha, ha. Great.” Thorax's laughter was nothing but normal, it was forced and went on longer than normal. Spike release a chuckle, “Guys, you might want to get back to lunch. I don’t want you missing out ‘cause of me.” Babs' eyes widen as she began to somewhat panic. Her eyes quickly darting around the room, the closet. She stops to lower her head and sigh. Hidden away, Ember and Thorax walled out. Ember chewing on bubblegum, she stopped to look around. Babs hoped that she doesn’t see the bag behind the curtain. She shrugged before leaving with Thorax. Babs crashed out of the closet, trying to clean everything up. Quickly before anyone came by. “I know you there, Babs!” She blushes hearing Spike’s calling out to her. Babs grabs her bag, she knew if she left it where it sat. She would just forget about it, walking into the room where Spike held a packet of ice over his right eye that was shining black thanks to her. Babs wrapped the side of her arm, he gave her a smile, causing her to look away. “Yeah. I’m sorry that I punch your stupid face.” Never the right words around Spike, always her mean and tough side. “It’s fine. I heard that from you so many times now. It all just loops around,” Spike said, letting out a strange chuckle. It was if he was nervous. Babs was fierce at him, she stomped her foot in aggravation shaking the small table next to Spike. He let out a small ‘hmm’ before turning his complete attention at Babs Seed. “You just a big meathead! I went out of my way!” Babs put her hands on her hips, trying to look smug with a grin and her chin high. Spike gave her a deadpan stare, “Apple Bloom told you to.” “THAT’S NOT THE POINT!” Spike could see the streams of rage that flared from Babs' ears. “Anyway, where was I? Right me being amazing!” Babs gave her short hair a flick, Spike let out a groan “Look! I came all the way here because you are a stupid, handsome, know it all, jerkface, that thinks he all high and mighty because you are cute.” Babs said Spike blinked in surprised “You think I’m cute?” Wondered Spike, Babs jaw dropped, she didn’t even realize that she said that word. “I don’t, I mean I do, but it not an ‘I’m totally in love with you’ cute but more of a stupid kind of cute, that happens once in a blue moon. You understand?!” Babs said Spike scratches his messy green hair in confusion. “Maybe?” Spike was unsure on what to even reply to the enraged girl. “Good!” Her proud expression was back on her face. “Remember, stupid cute, it’s not that I like you or anything,” Babs said storming out the door on a huff. “What is my life?” Spike wondered to himself, sitting in silence. The bell finally let everyone leave school. Friday, meaning three whole days to sit back and enjoy, since the upcoming Monday the school would be closed! Babs just loved pubic holidays, sitting in her messy room, lying on her unmade bed, being far too lazy to make it. And she could lie back, rest up her feet. Play some video games, send a text over to the other Crusaders if they wanted to join. Sweetie called Babs room a ‘death trap’ so most of them to join, it will be great. “Hey, Cousin, how did the apologize go with Spike?” Apple Bloom asked, followed by her two friends. “Fine, Spike was a bit of a meathead, but other than that it went over fine.” Babs stared away, Sweetie giggled, Babs shot her head back at her. “Nothing!” Sweetie stepped back, Babs didn't even need to ask. “Hey girls!” That deep, that charming voice. Spike with his hands in the blue blazer that he wore. He only had an over the shoulder bag that lump on his side, Babs' eyes widened in fear, shaking the shoes that she wore. “How it going, Spike!” Scootaloo greeted him, with her hand in the air. Spike giving her a high five, Babs noticed that the other students looked jealous. Even weirded out, once Scootaloo started to rub her hand dry. “I got a major problem. It’s family dinner night tomorrow and I need a girl!” Spike begged, The Crusaders all gave grins “Right. Mrs. Velvet would wonder where your girlfriend was?” Sweetie spoke, Spike nodded his head “It's my whole family. You met Ember, I highly recommend never bring her to my mom and dad! Please, I’ll do anything just one of you three come!” Spike pressed his hands together Babs had never seen him like this before. It felt weird, but made her smile and let out a chuckle. Apple Bloom gave a grin, Babs knew where this was going and it was a horrible idea. “I’m sure that Babs would love to go with you Spike since ya mom knows us so well. She won’t believe that any of us got with you.” Apple Bloom explain “Yeah, plus I’m far too awesome for you Spike!” Scootaloo grin Babs Seed and Spike’s face were bright red, they turned to look at each other, the bottom of Spike’s eye was a shade of dark purple. He then turned to look at any of the other girls around. “Babs, do you want to come to dinner with me tomorrow?” Asked Spike, he rubbed his arm, his eyes wander around the ground. He was nervous about asking a girl, the guy who could give a wink to a passing girl and she would faint. The guy who saved a town from getting destroyed from a volcano, the guy who went out with a senior student like it was nothing. Was nervous about asking Babs to his parents' place. “Sure. I guess, it just is just you and your folks?” Wondered Babs “Brother, sister, sister-in-law, and the most adorable niece in the world!” Spike held his finger up. He took out a pen and notepad. Babs raised her eyebrow, who the heck carries a notepad around with them. Apple Bloom’s cheap grin said everything that Babs wanted and needed to know. “For you, my lady!” Spike said, giving her the directions to his house tomorrow. He wrote that in less than a minute, she was too busy wanting to destroy her so-called ‘friends’ who seem to get her into trouble more times than help her. Spike gave a two finger salute. Going on his merry way, Babs noticed Cozy Glow and some other girls who must have overheard the conversation, trying to get him to them instead. “Tomorrow, five PM. Best to get their early, my mom hates people who show up late.” Babs readied out the small note while in silence readied his home address. On the way home, Babs didn’t know if she should have an enthusiasm of the fact she was spending time with her crush or terrorize that she was spending time with her crush that she only knew how to punch, kick, and call names too. “I’m so doomed!” Babs muttered, kicking a stone out of her way. Babs soon arrived at her home, she pushed the unlocked door open, knowing that her lazy father was still lying on the couch, either asleep with the television on or past out with the television on and a slipped drink on the carpet floor. Babs shut the television off, they were drool coming out her father's mouth. While he slept, his hand rubbing against the soft floor. Babs kicked any empty cans or packets of chips out her way, knowing that anything in this house just got dropped on the floor, waiting for her to pick it up. Babs crushed any chips that were shattered over the floor with her foot, throwing her bag against the wall, knocking over an empty bottle. Mise was munching at the leftover cheese that sat on the counter, Babs gave them a wink, the animals that lived here was well behaved as long as they got food. "Sorry Sweet Heart, I need to work overtime again. Could you please make dinner for yourself and your father. - Mother "What else is new," Babs muttered to herself Opening the fridge, one of the animals jumped out and made a run for it, right pass Babs. She just raised her eyebrow, before looking through the food. Most of it had mold growing on it or was just already eaten and put back in the fridge for some reason, plus there was another note inside the fridge from her dear mother. "Sorry Sweet Heart, but we are all out on food. I hadn't found the time to shop yet, can you do that for me in the weekend, just order pizza for dinner tonight. Love you - Mother. The next morning, when Babs woke up, with most of her blanket on the floor and an empty pizza box on her floor. At least she could wear normal clothes, blue jeans with a hole in the left knee, a black leather jacket and a black t-shirt with the words 'Born To Be Wild' written on it. Sliding down the stairs, she grabbed the keys off the counter, her father couldn't drive anymore, so his car just became hers. Babs gave her father a hard kick to his leg, he let out a rough moan, looking at his only daughter, standing in front of him. "I'm going shopping, don't go anywhere," Babs said, he waved his hand, before falling back asleep. Everything was busy at the supermarket. People rushing around, grabbing what they needed and left with a word. It was almost as bad as high school, the only thing missing was her hitting someone. Bang. There it is, her on the ground, and the random guy that she ran into because she wasn't looking and listening to the music that Sweetie Belle gave to her, it was nothing but music from the fifties all the way up to the late nineties, Sweetie said after that music died. "I'm so, so, sorry about running into you, I wasn't paying attention!" Babs spoke, moving her head up and down. "Well, I have gotten used to it by now. So, it doesn't surprise me." That voice! That male, deep, stupid, smug, and downright pleasing voice to listen to. Spike. Dusting himself off, carrying a basket over his arm. He gave Babs a smile, that she turned away from, mainly so she could hide her blush. "Been a full minute since we talked, Babs are you alright?" Spike asked, seeing the look at she had on her face. "Fine, I rather not make a fool of myself in front of more people," Babs said, Spike gave a grin "Makes sense, are you still coming over. I just want to make sure while I'm getting tonight's dinner." Babs looked over at Spike while he talked, he moved his head away, but he was blushing. He never blushes. Not even when getting kissed by a girl that he was in love with. "Yep, you knucklehead!" Babs gave him a punch in the arm, with a smile that Spike returned back at her. Spike chuckled, rubbing his sore arm. "Great see you then, you want anything while I'm here?" "Well, umm, you see," Babs tipped over her words. ‘Just ask him out, he still single, not wanting to go out with Ember. It wouldn't hurt.' "It's nothing." ‘Wimp' Spike gave her a two finger salute. He always said goodbye like that, he thinks that it made him looked cool, which it did, but Babs Seed would never say it out loud to him. More time passed, telling her half awake father that he needed to order food or make it himself. She drove over to Spike's house, parking it outside, she saw a car in the driveway and another that she parked next to. Babs knocked on the door, Babs was met by Spike with a helmet on his head. Babs opens her mouth to question about the helmet that he wore over his green hair. "My mom has gotten worried about my black eye, so she making me wear a helmet around the house." “Come on in.” Spike held the door, letting Babs through. It was much noisier than her place and cleaner too, the sound of a baby crying while her mother took care of it. Babs looked at the lady, she looked closed to the mayor from that town that Spike saved. Then there’s a cop was leaning back and chatting away to his father, who almost one to one on the same cop that always pulls Babs over. There there was Ms. Sparkle who was sitting next to this rainbow hair woman, who was prattle on about something. “There’s my Spikey Wikey!” A woman voice called out. His mother pulled Spike into a tight hug, Babs didn’t know if Spike could breath. She also took off the oversized helmet to plant kisses all over his cheek. “Mom! I thought we agreed that there would be no more Spikey Wikey ever!” Spike said, the woman blinked at the girl who was watching. Babs Seed blinked, Spike’s mother released him from the tight hug, his face was somewhat purple after the hug was over. The lady looked Babs’ over and turned to her husband. “Night Light, isn’t this the same girl that bullies Spike?” She asked Babs swallowed in fear, the room grew quiet, heck even the baby stopped to turn and at Babs. The teenager could’ve sworn that the baby was glaring into her soul, almost like the child was evil. “Yes, dear.” Night Light replied beads of nervous sweat started to roll down Babs Seed’s face. “Yeah mom, you have been to my office about her and Spike enough times that you really should remember.” Ms. Sparkle spoke, leaning on her chair to look at her mother. Babs raised an eyebrow, sure it was okay for a teacher to lean on the chairs, but when Babs lean on the chair. Stay after class to put them all up. “Welcome to the family!” Spike’s mother said, bring Babs’ into a hug. It was far too tight. She was still trying to wonder why she wasn’t kicked out onto the streets yet for everything that Babs had done to Spike, even with her having a crush on him. “See honey, I told you that this girl had a crush on Spike! Why else would she pick on him?” The mother asked Babs' cheeks were bright red, this lady somehow knew “Yes dear, you were right and I was wrong.” Night Light spoke in a bored tone it was almost like he has said it a thousand times or more. She then put Babs down, she watched Spike start getting up, Babs hoped that Spike doesn’t find out about her crush on him. Babs might just die from embarrassment if that was the case. “I’m Twilight Velvet!” She said holding out her hand. “Babs Seed, ma’am.” Babs spoking shaking Mrs. Velvet’s hand Velvet let out another cry of pure happiness, glad that her son found a person his age to date. Bring Babs into another hug, it was one of the weirdest things that she been put through. Even the crocodile accident was nearly as weird. “Mom, stop it!” Spike cried out, Velvet blushed and let go of Babs. “I’m just so happy about my Spikey Wikey!” Velvet said, Babs turned to look at Spike. “Please, don’t ask about the nickname,” Spike spoke, his head was low. This was one of the awkward moments in Babs first, the second was the sheep driving that car, but it was rather strange and had a boring ending. This is just horrible, so the lady that looks like the mayor from the town Spike saved. Was the mayor, Mrs. Candace, next was her husband that was the cop that always pulled Babs over. Then there was her teacher, Ms. Sparkle who Babs was sitting next to other than Spike who’s hand seemed to rub against her’s. It was almost like he wanted to hold her hand. Then there was Ms. Sparkle’s girlfriend, Scootaloo’s somewhat older sister; Rainbow Dash, a jet pilot, and tester for new jets. It was the only awesome enough for someone like her to do as a living. And then it was over, Babs remembers Mrs. Velvet showing her pictures of Spike when he was five, she did find it odd that Velvet didn’t any old baby photos of him. Now Babs was standing outside with Spike, she could see his mother looking out the window to try and catch the two kissing. Spike rubbed his arm and smile at her. It was rather windy, and it had begun to lightly rain. Without a thought or care in the world. She gave Spike a kiss on his cheek, it stuns him and her. He was frozen in pure shook, giving Babs Seed enough time for the blushing Babs Seed to run back to her car and drive home. “I’m going to do it!” Thorax and Ember looked at their friend like he was insane. It was a Tuesday midday in the cafeteria and it looks like today Spike wants to do something stupid or weird. “I’m just going to walk right up to her and ask her to prom!” Spike said, his hand slammed against the table He had a newfound courage and he was about to make a fool out of himself. Ember gave him a rare smile, one of those never make it on her lips. Thorax gave him a thumb up. “Go get her dude!” He spoke Spike’s hands slammed against the table, his chair slid back while he walked over to her. Everyone stopped to look at him, each girl was hoping that he would be making his way over to them. But, his eyes were set on the girl he had a crush on. He didn’t know why he liked her, perhaps it was because she’s so headstrong, or maybe it was the fact that Spike thought she was cute the way she acted. There she was, the girl he wanted to ask, Babs Seed. With her eyebrow raised at the guy walking to their table, she could hear chatter between The Crusaders. Babs never told them that she kissed Spike, she remembers spending most of that night wide awake looking at the ceiling wondering why she did it. Now, Spike’s doing the walk of shame. To her, Babs’ eyes drifted quickly to try and catch if he was going anywhere else. But, nope. The most popular boy in school was standing front her, he straightens up his tie. Rubbing his arm, letting out a nervous chuckle that was forced out without a joke. The clock was ticking, the room was quiet when needed to be. Everyone eyes were set on Spike and Babs, knowing that a fury of punches was on its way. Spike swallowed his pride, looked Babs right into her alluring spring bud color eyes. Giving her a charming smile, and releasing a deep breathe that Spike didn’t even know that he was holding in. “Babs, do you want to go to the prom with me?” The question shocked everyone, every girl that was eyeing Spike began to cry, others wanted to see Babs do something stupid. Babs didn’t know what to do, she wanted to say yes from the bottom of her heart. But, cafeteria law. There was a bang. Babs gave a hard kick to Spike’s stomach. The Crusaders looked at their friend in horror as Spike fell to his knees in pain. “Why did you kick him?” Sweetie Belle asked in a panic “I want else was I meant to do?!” Babs replied “How ‘bout a yes?” Apple Bloom southern voice said. Spike was laughing, he was in pain, but laughing. Babs quickly got out of her seat, picking him up. His arm was wrapped behind her head, while Babs carried him out to the halls. Spike moan in pain, Babs threw him up against the wall, pinning him there. Their lips were close, Babs just wanted to end it there, pull herself a little closer and taste those lips. “What the heck man!” Babs cried out “Do you want to come to the prom with me?’ He gave another smile, wondering if he’ll get hurt again. “YES!” Soon coughing, “I mean, geez Fine. Baka Tako. It's not like I'll enjoy it or anything." Babs said, letting out a giggle. “Great! Umm, I guess we a couple now?” Babs quickly turned her head. “Prom only, I’m only going with you because you ask. It’s not like I like you!” The blush on her cheeks was bright, her whole face was nothing, but the color red. Spike had a dumb grin on his face, and Babs let out a loud cheer once Spike was out of her site. She’s going to prom with Spike! It all felt like a dream, Babs gave herself a pinch to make sure. She was ecstatic, over the moon and many more. It was too long until prom, but now she doesn’t need to say at home lying on her bed playing video games. She had a date with the boy that she liked and now is coming back to her, the stupid stuff she said to him. Because of cause she did, Babs grew to hate Murphy’s Law. It seemed to attack her the most, Babs banged her head three times against the wall. Her forehead grew red, she just left her head there, the worst thing is secrets are not hidden in this school. Soon everyone will know that Spike has a date and everyone will know who it is. Babs placed a target on her back for all the girls that wanted to be with Spike. It’s going to be a long two more weeks until prom and even longer during prom. “What have I gotten myself into?” Babs asked, letting out a moan. She slides to the ground, still moaning. Her hand slapped her forehead, she didn’t know that being with Spike would be so great, but that curse. Then Babs smiled, she couldn’t hurt Spike if she hurt the girls that wanted to hurt her. She didn't know if it made any sense, but nothing did anymore. So, Babs doesn’t care! She with Spike and that is amazing, all she needs is a dress, now that’s something she wasn’t looking forward to. When school ended, Spike head back home. When Babs arrived she saw something new, a clean house and her mother. That was the one that surprised her, plus her father wasn’t half naked anymore. He has dressed a suit and tie, Babs jaw dropped at the site. “Did ah walk in the wrong house?” Babs asked, her mother let out a giggle “No Sweet Heart. I took a day off to help your father find work nearby. Meaning I can spend more time with you Pumpkin.” Babs’ mother said, giving her daughter a big, fat, sloppy kiss on the cheek. Babs rubbed it away in disgust. “Look, I don’t care what kind of witchcraft and wizardry or if you both got replaced by robots. But, I need a dress for the prom since I have a date.” She spoke, blushing in front of her parents. Her mother then releases a loud ear piercing scream. Babs covered her ears in pain, getting an attack with a hug and a bunch of kisses to her cheek. Babs stuck her tongue out of her mouth in repugnance. “Mom!” “You have a date with a boy! I’m so happy right now.” Babs’ mother jumped in joy “Tell me all the details!” Her mother pushed Babs against the chair, she sat on her knees and looked her daughter in the eyes wearing a large smile. “It’s Spike. The boy that I got in trouble because I punch him whenever I wanted to talk to him.” “You were just shy. I somewhat remember him. He’s a cutie, you find yourself a keeper. Good job Sweet Heart.” Babs’ mother said nuzzling her daughter. Babs wore a deadpan expression. She thinks that she wore that same look through those painful two weeks. In the halls, girls like Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Coconut Cream, and Cozy Glow would push Babs Seed against the locket while their walked passed. It might be frozen on her face. Babs feared that she was going to become like Maud Pie soon. If she kept up the deadpan look, those two weeks were long, painful, but Spike stood up for her. It was him that made these weeks least painful then they could be. But, prom night soon arrived. Babs drove herself and Spike there, he met her parents, which horrified her. At least they were well behaved, she and Spike were singing along to the music that played in the car. When the pair finally got there, the lights in the gym were bright, there was a disco ball hung in the middle, it spun around and created a rainbow light that shined in the gym. The large double doors that lead to the football field, was wide open for anyone that wanted fresh air and a night walk in the moonlight. Spike’s hand intertwined with Babs’ she blushed at him, giving a small smile. Walking hand in hand to the dance floor, the slow, romantic music began to play from the D.J. Spike placed his hand on her hip and back, bring Babs close to him. Spike her a smile, Babs tripped and stepped on his toes. She gave him an apologetic smile, Spike spins her around, bring her back to his warm body. The light shined on to him, Babs gave a soft smile. He looked rather dashing in his suit, he held her tight. Their bodies moved in the rhythm of the music that blasted through the gym. Babs leans her head against Spike’s shoulder, his eyes widen and blushed. It felt nice to have her like this, the two just swinging while holding each other tight. Spike saw Sweetie Belle dragging Scootaloo to the dance floor, with Diamond Tiara holding Silver Spoon tight while the two of them dance together. It seemed to Babs that there was no one else in the room, beside her and Spike. The light only shining on the pair, it felt amazing being in his large strong arms, Babs felt like she was on top of the world. Then the music stopped. Which broke Spike holding her body next to his. Spike took her hand, taking her outside to the football field. The moonlight between the clouds shined onto the couple, Babs looked at her hand locked with Spike. With Spike, he couldn’t believe ravishing she looked in the moonlight and how elegant she looked in her light shining blue dress. “Hey, Babs.
