> The Day The Sun Turned. > by Mare FaSance > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Powerless > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Celestia hiccuped, and started to giggle. She had stayed up late with her sister for the third time that week. They had shared a bottle of wine, one few that she had been saving since before Luna was banished. She giggled again as she stumbled towards her room. Celestia couldn't be happier, she had her sister back. Equestria was in a state of peace and prosperity. The neighboring lands held no hate for us but some also held no love. She was content with the world. "Princess, would you like an escort?" A guard ask trotting out of a hallway ahead of her. Celestia eyes flickered over the guard's body. Like most of the guards he was well build. Celestia had requested that her guards be fit that on the base of needing protection but she just wanted to see their muscles. Though she would never admit it to anyone, not even herself. "No it's fine, I know the way." She purred lightly walking by him her flank lightly brushing against the guard in her stumbling stupor. "Good night," Celestia said leaving a smiling guard behind. Celestia couldn't help but giggle again as she made her way to her bedroom. "I'm so bad." With a bump of her flank she opened the door and swayed on in. Flicking her horn, the candles burst a light casting the room in an orange light. Celestia started to hum, making her way to her bed. She threw herself onto the bed and started to grunt trying to kick off her shoes. They were pretty with all their gold and everything but being metal as they were, they tended to be uncomfortable at times. Finally getting those accursed things off she made herself comfortable under her quilt, it was a gift from the Zebra tribes ambassador. It was her favorite, it kept her warm on cold nights and oddly enough, kept her cool on warm ones. In return she gifted her a partial of land wherever she may choose. When she chose a piece of land in the everfree forest, it was safe to say most were stunned by the decision. No one goes to the everfree forest willing, and when she was asked why she would make such a choice she reveled that it was an ideal place to grow wide variety of herbs. Well regardless of what her choice was she did choose it, Celestia granted it with a smile. Her smile matched that one now, her muzzle was pressed firmly into one of the many pillows. Sleep Celestia a voice said very faint, almost non existent. "hmm?" Celestia tried to lift her head but figtued had gotten to her. Her head was firmly planted in the pillow. Sleep Celestia, go to the realm where we may meet. the voice said a hint of laughter following it. Celestia opened her mouth to reply but her mind was already fading into sleep. No matter what she thought of her mind brushed it aside. In the back of her mind she knew that something about this voice set her hair on ends but all she could think of was to of was sleep. She struggled against the urge to sleep wishing dearly that she had accepted that guards invite. She had nearly asleepoff when a face appeared in her mind. it was a black shadow, with dark blue eyes and a crocked mouth. It was smiling wickedly. You are mine Celestia, you are powerless to stop what will happen now. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Celestia was walking through a void, nothing around her but endless emptiness. It was void of all color save her multiple hued hair. Her hooves made no sound, they felt nothing but she could walk none the less. "Hello?" she called out her head swiveling side to side looking for something, anything. Her voice echoed in the emptiness. "Hello my little alicorn." A somewhat familiar voice said. The void around her gradually drew darker and darker till it was black. It started to swirl as if it was made of smoke, it sped around Celestia as if she stood in the middle of a hurricane. Celestia said something but her words where drowned out with a sudden crackle of laugher, it came like lighting and boomed like thunder. Darkness surround Celestia, the cackles of it laughter falling upon her in waves. It rubbed against her coat roughly, it felt like it was trying to scrape it away and get to the muscle that was underneath. She screamed in defiance a blast of magical energy flaring from her horn. The beam lanced through the darkness cutting it in half, the void could be seen from the other side. The darkness cackled more in response, the shadow body reforming after the attack. "Nothing will work, Celestia." The shadow said sounding like boiling mud. "I am far beyond your reach. I am far beyond your power." Another cackle sounded as the swirled faster around her, the word nothing being repeated over and over. "What being are you?" Celestia asked in a hushed whisper, her hoofs spread and slowly turning in circles glaring out into the darkness. Sweat glistened on her coat and her body twitched in fear. this being was having a profound effect on her. "I am what I am," The darkness said starting to dig into her. With a yelled it added "And you will be what I am." Celestia screamed in pain the shadow pushed in deeper. Slowly the shadow lessened and thinned around her till no trace of it was left. Leaving her alone in the void again. She frantically looked over her body fearing the worst. The shadow left no wounds but where it had touched her burned. Not the burn of a flame but one of intense pleasure. Which scared her more then if she was a flame. "Where have you gone demon!?" Celestia screamed, her voice cracking from the strain. "Nowhere far, my little alicorn." replied the bubbling voice, "In fact I'm very close." unable to hide the horror from her face, she stared at black splotch slowly rising to the top of top on her foreleg. A crack from in the middle of the splotch and the mud like laughter drifted from it. "BEGONE FOUL SPIRIT!" she roared, as a golden mist flowed from her horn and coating the leg that held the face. It screamed, the shadow distorting in pain. Celestia's coat on her foreleg stared to squirm as if snakes were under it. Celestia gave a shout of victory increasing the magic into the spell. It did hurt but she was willing to bear the pain. The screaming went on for several moments before the shadow started to laugh, the squirming stopping suddenly. It blew a raspberry, a smoke like tongue wiggling in Celestia's face. The golden mist around the leg blew away in all directions. The darkness vanished from her body leaving Celestia more terrified then before. "I will not be gone, you have not the power to deny me. but why would you?" The shadow added, moving slowly up her leg. "I will make you powerful. I will release you from the bonds of this civilized world and let you take what you want. What you truly want." An image forced to the front of Celestia's mind. It was an image of Twilight, she was back in her old room at the palace she was reaching under a bed trying to gather something. Celestia happen to come in at that time, getting a full view of Twilight's pussy. She remembers it well. It's one of her more relived memories. Shame flooded Celestia, someone in her position shouldn't hold feelings like that to one of her student. "Just Twilight? No, Don't lie to yourself." the voice said pushing more images to the front of her mind, one after the other. the other five bearers of harmony, Shining Armor Twilight's brother. The blue mare at the sweet shop in ponyville, all of the wonderbolts. The big red one from that apple farm. Each one giving her a different view of what she wanted but always the same feeling. Celestia's legs gave out and she collapsed to what passed for the ground in a sobbing heap. Trying desperately to banish these images from her mind's eye. She tried so hard to banish these thoughts and feelings but they always came back. "Leave spirit, I beg of you." she said through the sobs. "I want nothing to do with my fantasy, they are immoral and unwanted." She felt something press against her mind. Like a hand slowly stroking her hair. "You have no choice in the matter," it said in a soft whisper "But if it makes you feel better, neither did your sister when I gave her my gift." Celestia choked mid sob. Her breath came in gasps from her crying, "You were responisable for Nightmare moon?" she said. It ignored the question. The darkness moved from her mind and she could feel that it looking away from her, "Looks like our time is up but fear not my little alicorn, I will always be with you. Giving you the power to do what you want as well as the encouragement to do it." "I will never." She growled out, "I will Deny you with everything I am." A sudden and terrifying pressure closed around her throat "Your sister said the same thing but you and I know how that turned out." The shadow emerged from her chest, moving slowly it came face to face with Celestia, it was smiling. "But I'll make it interesting. If you last one month, I'll go away and fade into memory." the voice was saturated with mocking laughter. Letting her know it didn't believe she could. Lair, Celestia said in her mind, You will do no such thing. A trickle of magic flowed from the darkness, it formed into a scroll in between them. "Magical contract, you know of it yes?" it said grinning. A dark glow formed on the paper, it slowly wrote out exactly what it had said it would do. With a flourish it signed a name Celestia couldn't read. There was flash of grey light and the contract burst into chains. They launched themselves at the darkness. Wrapping around it, fully binding him before vanishing. "I will enjoy seeing you struggle and failing." With a laugh that filled her mind it, Celestia was forcefully thrown through the void. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Celestia sat bolt upright in her bed gasping for breath. Her body was shaking uncontrollably, her bed soaked in sweat. She could taste blood in her mouth and she knew she must have bit her lip. In a daze Celestia looked around, her magic reaching for the water jug she kept near her bed on the night stand. Forgoing the cup, Celestia just grabbed the jug and brought it to her lip. She drank greedily the water spilling around her and onto her bed. Very slowly she got got control of her breath and stayed the shaking. "W-was that a nightmare?" She asked herself out loud, needing to her something. Silence reminded her of the void. Celestia looked around again before getting to her hoofs. Her body ached, like she had a knock down drag out fight. In a sense she did and it felt like she didn't win. Wearily Celestia walked over to her vanity table and looked at herself in the mirror. A black shadow covered her face grinning widely back at her, "One month my little alicorn. Give me a good fight." It faded away leaving her ears full of laughter and her face frozen in shock.
