When Sweetie Belle woke up, she scrambled to her hooves and started her day. It was Saturday, and more importantly it was her birthday. As Sweetie went through her morning routine, she couldn’t help but feel herself grow more and more excited.

There was going to be a party later today, but until then Sweetie had the day to herself. Which was exciting and good, because Sweetie had been looking forward to this day for weeks.

All because of the stupid nutrition month at school. For three weeks, it had been nothing but healthy foods and demonizing anything remotely tasty. Rarity had heard what was going on, and had listened to Cheerilee’s instructions. No breaks, nothing. Nothing but healthy things for three weeks, and it was driving Sweetie nuts.

Today would be different, because it was her birthday and birthdays meant cake, candy, sweets, and all other forms of junk food. Sweetie finished brushing her mane, while using her magic to groom her coat. She’d lost weight from the diet, which Rarity was complimenting her on. Sweetie wasn’t sure how to feel about it, not really caring so long as she felt healthy.

Sweetie wasn’t sure why being thin was so popular, if she were being honest. There were all sorts of ponies in Ponyville with all kinds of body types. Why did it matter if you were thinner? Thin didn’t automatically mean healthy. Diamond Tiara was thin, but she wasn’t as active as Applebloom who was heavier. The whole thing didn’t make much sense, and Sweetie was getting sick of it.

“Sweetie Belle!” Rarity called from downstairs, breaking Sweetie’s thoughts, “Breakfast!”

Sweetie, smiling wildly, ran downstairs to start her day. She could smell something sweet and delicious downstairs, and her imagination was running wild with all the food she hadn’t had since Cheerilee started the nutrition unit. All Sweetie could hope for was a day packed full of treats, fun, and friends..

Several hours had passed since Sweetie had gotten out of bed. She’d eaten a large pancake breakfast, smothering everything in butter and syrup and whipped cream. Then Rarity had let her open a few smaller presents before they went around to Sugarcube Corner for Sweetie’s birthday party.

Most ponies had been invited. Adults and children alike. They’d played games, opened presents, had an amazing lunch. Now, it was drawing to a close with what Sweetie had been dreaming about for weeks: the cake.

Sweetie looked around at Sugarcube corner, smiling at her friends and family. The cake was the pièce de résistance of any birthday party, and Sweetie’s was no exception. The lights dimmed, and Sweetie fidgeted in her seat as Pinkie came out from the back, singing happily. The crowd joined in, and the cake slid in front of Sweetie.

Sweetie’s birthday had been amazing. Sweet, savoury foods like she hadn’t had in weeks. Sweetie’s teeth and head buzzed from the sugar but it was totally worth it. She’d gorged herself all day, not sure when she would get her next chance to indulge.

The cake was huge, four tiered. Sweetie needed to stand on the chair to reach the candle, she paused, mouth watering at the sight. It was covered in sugar flowers and intricate designs. No doubt Rarity’s influence.

“Make a wish!” Pinkie beamed, clearly as excited as Sweetie was.

Sweetie inhaled a huge breath, thinking. I wish we could all eat junk food like this every day, no more healthy food! Sweetie blew, extinguishing all the candles in one go. People cheered, and Pinkie started cutting the cake.

Sweetie dug into the hefty slice of cake, part of her aching for the deliciousness to end. After such a day of treats, then the promised dinner back home, Sweetie didn’t want to be stuck eating salad until the next birthday.

The next morning, Sweetie awoke to a smell she hadn’t smelled since before Cheerilee started the nutrition unit. Sweetie ran downstairs, confused and excited. Her stomach was growling, and she couldn’t quite believe what she was seeing.

Rarity had made breakfast, and not the healthy breakfasts she’d been making. Gone was the healthy cereal and toast. Chocolate chip pancakes decorated the table, accompanied by all sorts of sauces, whipped cream, and some fruit. Greasy hashbrowns accompanied the pancakes. Sweetie sat down, and Rarity piled her plate high with food, just how Sweetie liked.

Sweetie was puzzled, but didn’t want to question. After all, if Rarity made it then it was fine, right? As Sweetie ate, she realized Rarity seemed to be eating a lot of breakfast too, so much so that between the two of them they cleared the table.

“Go get finished getting for school, Sweetie,” Rarity smiled, licking her lips, “I need to clean up here.”

Sweetie nodded, waddling back upstairs slowly because of her overfull stomach. She got ready for her day, then came back downstairs. Rarity had her lunch pail packed and ready, so all Sweetie had to do was get it on her way out the door.

Walking to school, slower than usual because she was still overfull, Sweetie started to realize something. It was early, and ponies were milling around. Not too weird, since ponies had things to do. What was odd was what they were eating. And how much. Most seemed to be eating pastries an sugary treats.

Sweetie mentally shrugged. A new store could have opened up, or perhaps everypony was getting sick and tired of the healthy foods like she was. After a while, Sweetie eventually made it to school.

Entering the building, Sweetie was struck with another difference. The food pyramid was gone, replaced by something familiar yet utterly alien. It was choc full of unhealthy foods, like chocolate and popcorn and sugary cereals. Where the day before it had been full of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

Sweetie got to her desk, and couldn’t help but stare at it. She remembered her birthday wish, and had a sudden inkling that maybe it had worked. It would explain this...oddness around food, at any rate.

Sweetie shook her head. Of course the birthday wish didn’t work. They never did, it was just a superstition, right?

By the end of the school day, Sweetie had figured out that her birthday wish had to have worked. There was no explanation for ‘Junk Food Education’, nor was there explanation for all the junk food they’d eaten in class.

Sweetie didn’t mind, she was ecstatic. No more rabbit food, no more tasteless meals. Sweetie was in heaven, and she hoped this never ended. Making her way home, she wondered what delights Rarity would have for her.

One Month Later…

Sweetie couldn’t believe what was happening. In the month since her birthday, nopony seemed to notice or care that they were eating nothing but junk food. Nopony cared that they were putting on weight.

Even the Apples didn’t mind they had to bake all of their apples into delicious treats just to get them to sell. Pies, fritters, and so much more left their farm by the week it was almost a miracle that Sugarcube Corner was still in business. Which it was, and was very popular. Everypony wanted to eat everything they could get their hands on, and they all seemed so happy to do it.

Cheerilee had continued Junk Food Education, and it was everypony’s favourite class. It wasn’t really even a class, if Sweetie was being honest with herself. It was just an excuse to eat as much free treats they could, while under Cheerilee’s supervision.

It was weird, but Sweetie liked it. Ponies were happy, even if they were putting on weight. Even she wasn’t immune, she’d noticed. All the weight she’d lost while ‘proper nutrition’ was still going on was put back, plus some. She jiggled and wiggled when she walked, and now sported a double chin.

Heck, most of Ponyville was the same. Nopony had escaped the weight gain, not even Rainbow Dash or Applejack. There was some fluctuation obviously. Ponies who were more busy and active hadn’t gained as much, but ponies like Cheerilee and Mrs. Cake had put on a lot more weight than Sweetie would have thought possible in just one month.

No matter. Ponies were content, and so was Sweetie. That was what mattered right? Everypony was happy, and everything was tasty, and life continued.

As Sweetie got ready for yet another day of school, she couldn’t help but wonder what life would be like in the near future.

8 Months Later...

Sweetie Belle woke to the sounds and smells of something frying downstairs in the kitchen. Smiling widely, Sweetie didn’t even notice the difficulty she had trying to roll out of bed. It took her near twenty minutes to put her hooves on the floor, and when she did she was coated in sweat and panting for breath.

The slim filly of 9 months previous was long gone, buried under what had to amount to several hundred pounds of excess fat that was really starting to make moving around difficult. A third chin had joined her second, and a fourth was on its way. Her entire body had swollen with so much fat that she bore a collection of rolls and folds that threatened to break her school bag with a wrong move. A sagging belly hung well past her knees, and made walking a chore. Her thick hindquarters hung over her hocks, stretching out her cutie mark so much it was difficult to tell what it once was. All of Sweetie’s body hung and bulged out, succumbing to gravity and the constant barrage of calories she subjected her body to.

Wheezing, Sweetie waddled her way downstairs, blinking the sleep out of her eyes. She was greeted by the same sight that had awaited her for the last month: Rarity laying out in the main room of the boutique, completely immobilized by her own girth.

Rarity, and a lot of the wealthier unicorns in town, had packed on pounds a lot easier than the others. Mostly because they didn’t need to move to meet their daily needs. Rarity, even, used her magic to sew new ensembles for ponies and didn’t need to wiggle a hoof. The lack of exercise had made itself abundantly clear in Rarity’s case, as she’d eaten more than Sweetie had ever seen her older sister eat.

Rarity took up a large portion of the floor, her stomach, hindquarters, and drooping fat rolls spread across the floor. Rarity was lost amidst her own sea of fat. Her limbs were gone, more like pillows strapped to her sides than actual, useful limbs. Rarity was a blob. A fat blob that seemed to take up more and more of the room she was in with every day that passed.

Rarity smiled at Sweetie’s entrance, her chins and jowls squishing together, “Good morning! Chocolate waffles on the table.”

“Thanks!” Sweetie chirped, moving to the kitchen to find a wonderfully fattening breakfast awaiting her. Chocolate waffles, hashbrowns, and fried eggs. It was lovely, and delicious, and Sweetie took no time in eating it.

She grabbed her lunch from the fridge, then left for school. It was a long, agonizing walk. The walk to and from school being the extent of her exercise. It was for most of the other children as well, at least those who could still walk.

Panting for breath, and wheezing as she went, Sweetie couldn’t help but watch as the ponies of Ponyville went about their day. They were varying sizes. Generally, pegasus ponies were lighter by virtue of needing to fly. Unicorns were heaviest, and earth ponies fluctuated wildly. It depended on lots of factors, mostly wealth.

There was another eating contest being held in town square, Sweetie noted. Applejack and Rainbow were competing and seemed to be tied for how many cakes they could eat.

Rainbow was one of the heavier pegasus’ around, mostly because of her competitive nature. She was on the edge of immobility, her wings useless and covered in so much fat that Sweetie wasn’t sure she could open them anymore. Rainbow’s body wasn’t as covered in rolls as Rarity’s was. The fat had distributed mostly evenly, and so she had huge sacks of fat rather than multiple little rolls. She was on her third chin already, and Sweetie could be sure a fourth would be coming soon if the current trend of eating contests continued.

Applejack was a little smaller than Rainbow. Her stomach was legendary though, because she’d always eaten a lot even before this. Mostly she was still mobile through sheer stubbornness and hard work, refusing to let her bulky proportions get in the way. She’d gained mostly in her hindquarters, hind legs, and stomach. This left her chubby front legs to shove food more easily into her gaping maw, unlike Rainbow who simply shoved her face into the cakes in order to devour them.

Sweetie moved on, catching sight of Diamond TIara’s house as Sweetie waddled by. The curtains were open on the front window, allowing Sweetie to peek in as she laboriously made her way forward. Both Mr. and Mrs. Rich were immobile, trapped in place by their gargantuan bodies. Sweetie could see servants tending to them, feeding Mrs. Rich pastries of some sort.

Sweetie Belle’s stomach, though still full from breakfast, growled at the thought of more food. Her mouth watered, and she used her magic to fish out one of her snacks from her bulging saddlebags. Chewing happily at the candy bar, Sweetie finally made it to the school.

She had to angle her hips through the doorway to fit. Even then it was still a tight squeeze. The seams on her bags creaked alarmingly, but they didn’t give up. Panting, coated in sweat, Sweetie lumbered to her desk, and sat on the floor. Trying to catch her breath, she was oblivious to the remaining mobile students trudge their way inside.

Not a chair remained unbent or unbroken in the schoolhouse. This was why Sweetie was sitting on the floor, and why the rest of her classmates joined her there. The number of students dwindled with each week that passed, as more and more students ate themselves into immobility.

Applebloom had been gone for two weeks, finally succumbing to the consequences of being a quality tester in Sweet Apple Acres’ baked goods. She wasn’t the only one missing either. Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Twist, and a hooffull of others were gone as well, disappearing when they couldn’t get out of bed anymore.

Even Miss. Cheerilee had changed. Her desk was gone, moved into the yard to give her body more room to grow. The schoolhouse had been receiving free food since all of this had started, and she had taken advantage of any leftovers and extras that was sent. Her knees had given out the previous day, and as far as Sweetie knew, Cheerilee hadn’t tried to get up again. Laying on her stomach, it was clear why Cheerilee’s legs refused to hold her weight: between her stomach and hindquarters it was probably amazing it hadn’t happened earlier.

Sweetie opened one pouch of her bags, and started eating. There was a long day of eating ahead, but the deliveries wouldn’t arrive for another 15 minutes or so. As the savoury potato chips satisfied Sweetie’s palette, she couldn’t help but wonder if this would continue.

An unknown amount of time later…

Sweetie didn’t know what day it was. She didn’t know what the weather outside was like, or even what season it was. If there even was still seasons outside, with so much of the population being too fat to move under their own power.

Sweetie's mobility had ended innocently enough. She’d laid across from her sister, on a pile of pillows and blankets in order to eat a proper dinner with her sister one Friday evening. The dinner turned into a stuffing Sweetie still couldn’t remember. It had been like something possessed her to keep eating, even when it felt like her stomach was going to rupture with how much food she was cramming into it. By Monday, Sweetie had gained so much, and had such a full stomach, that she hadn’t been able to get her hooves under her enough to go to school.

Sweetie had hoped she would be able to make it if she curbed her eating, but she hadn’t. Hadn’t gone to school, and hadn’t curbed her eating. She’d only gained more, and more, until she was a fat blob that did nothing but sleep and eat.

At first, it had been amazing. She spent as much time with her sister as she’d wanted, ate what she wanted when, and didn’t need to worry about working up a sweat for anything. She could sleep when she wanted, for as long as she wanted, and it didn’t matter when she woke up anymore. Nopony could tell her what to do for the first time in her life, and it was freeing.

As time went on, though Sweetie began to resent her new life. She was constantly hungry, and every moment she wasn’t sleeping, she was busy trying to satiate her endless hunger. She missed her friends. She missed moving. She missed having a life.

Sweetie had been unable to move anything aside from her head in what felt like a long time. Even then she couldn’t really move her head much. Her fat cheeks, huge neck rolls, and drooping forehead fat were encroaching on her vision, and further hindered her already limited mobility. She could glance around the room, and if she had to she could turn her head a little to the sides. Aside from stuffing her face and moving her jaw, that was it. The extent of her movement.

Sweetie couldn’t really get a good description for how large she was. She hadn’t looked into a mirror since before she’d lost her mobility, so she truly wasn’t sure what her proportions were anymore. All she knew was that she was too fat to move. Fat preventing her joints from bending, and weighing her down enough that every breath was a struggle.

The other thing that got Sweetie down was the lack of reaction. She didn’t seem to mind herself being immobile, or Sweetie. Nor did any of the ponies who were still mobile enough to visit them. It was starting to drive Sweetie nuts. Nopony cared, not even as they lost their mobility or had other health issues.

Thinking about it...it had felt like a while since she’d seen anypony outside of Rarity. Sweetie had no concept of time, so it could have been days, or weeks, or maybe even months since she’d last seen somepony else, and she would have been none the wiser. Some part of her wondered if everypony had succumbed to immobility, or if there were still ponies around thin enough to walk under their own power.

Sweetie’s thoughts were interrupted when a huge cake settled in front of her, placed there by Rarity’s magic. The cake was large, modeled after a traditional wedding cake. Five tiers, heavily iced, and decorated with sugar flowers and candles. At one point it probably could have fed a lot of ponies, but Sweetie knew she could eat it all herself if given enough time. Sweetie inhaled, smelling the scents of chocolate and sweet buttercream icing.

In spite of herself, her mouth watered. She looked around the cake at her now colossal sister, somewhat curious. Why the big cake?

“Happy...birthday...Sweetie,” Rarity panted. Her voice was weak, the strength being crushed out of it because of all her weight pressing into her lungs. She’d lost all definition a long time ago. A blob with a head, really. Just endless rolls and folds of fat that a thin filly could lose herself in if she wanted.

Sweetie used her magic to bring the cake closer, and inhaled as deeply as she could. She blew hard, but only succeeded in blowing out one candle. Panting weakly, tears welled in Sweetie’s eyes. She tried again, but didn’t even getting another candle put out. She was too heavy, too weak to blow them out by herself.

Sadness, dread, and a mix of other emotions swirled around her gigantic body. This was all her fault. She couldn’t fix this, couldn’t wish it away. If she’d left well enough alone she’d be playing with her friends, and having a real birthday party. Now, she was an immobile, wheezing mess. She resigned herself to this life. Of endless eating, endless sweets, and endless gaining. She couldn’t do anything to change it, as much as she might wish otherwise. Please, please I wish for everything to go back to normal.

Extinguishing the last of the candles with her magic, Sweetie plunged her fat muzzle into the cake. She would eat until she passed out, and maybe, just maybe things would be better in the morning. She could dream, right?

Sweetie woke the next morning, dazed and confused. She was in bed? When had that happened? She rolled over onto her feet in a practised motion, before she realized. She could move. She wasn’t dragging around several hundred pounds of excess fat. She was like she remembered before the wish. Sweetie spun around in a circle, disbelief and hope and a bunch of other emotions running throughout her body. A bout of joyous, pure laughter escaped her.

“My wish worked!” Sweetie shrieked, “It worked! Oh thankyouthankyouthankyou!”

Still laughing, Sweetie ran downstairs. She was so excited. She could see her friends, walk around town, go to school, learn-

Sweetie’s train of thought ended when she saw Rarity. She launched herself forward, wrapping her forelegs around her sister. Rarity was like she’d always been before: prim and trim. Sweetie squeezed hard. She’d forgotten what it was like to hug her sister, and she didn’t want this to end.

Sweetie, tears streaming down her face, thanked every power in the universe for giving her a second chance.

Eating herself into immobility was amazing. Sweetie spent as much time with her sister as she’d wanted, ate what she wanted when, and didn’t need to worry about working up a sweat for anything. She could sleep when she wanted, for as long as she wanted, and it didn’t matter when she woke up anymore. Nopony could tell her what to do for the first time in her life, and it was freeing.

It was heaven. In spite of all the problems Sweetie faced at her size, this life was still a good one. Which was evidenced by how much she still ate. Nonstop, around the clock except for when she was asleep.

Speaking of, Sweetie thought. Her eyes were burning with exhaustion. She’d eaten her way through a feast of fast food. Sweetie yawned, and settled herself down for a nap.

Sweetie dreamed for what seemed like an eternity. About food, her friends, her family. Everyone was fat and happy, and it was all because of her wish. Sweetie loved the dream, and was lovingly devouring her mother’s famous cake before the door to the boutique opened, and Princess Luna waddled through it.

Luna had become hugely fat since the last time Sweetie had seen the princess in her dreams. Luna’s stomach was mere centimeters off the floor, swaying ponderously underneath her, even as her tree-trunk legs shook with the exertion of keeping herself upright. Fat, chipmunk cheeks sagged into multiple chins and jowls, squishing together as Luna moved. Luna was coated in fat rolls that obscured her once svelte figure, and made her appearance quite different from some ponies Sweetie had seen before she’d eaten herself into immobility.

“Princess Luna!” Sweetie squeaked, “How are you? Why are you here? This isn’t a nightmare.”

“I know it was you that wished for all of this,” Luna said, gesturing to the frozen ponies mid-feast. There was not an averaged sized pony among them. All were well-within the throws of obesity.

“What’s so wrong with it?” Sweetie asked, turning to look around, “Everyone’s happy. This has been great!”

“Everypony has been deeply affected by your wish, Sweetie,” Luna said, “And you need to see how it’s affecting those closest to you so you’ll fix it.”

Sweetie nodded, waddling heavily, to stand near Princess Luna, “Okay? I guess. I don’t see what the big deal is so long as everypony’s happy. If everypony is happy, there’s nothing to fix, right?”

Luna said nothing, pouring magic into her horn. Sweetie’s dream melted away, and was replaced by the image of Sweet Apple Acres’ barn. At least, Sweetie was pretty sure it was the barn. It was hard to tell with all the new technology scattered around. Conveyor belts lined the walls, disappearing through holes in the walls and reappearing through others. In the center of the room, lay Applejack and Apple Bloom.

The pair of sisters were immense. Clearly immobilized by hundreds of pounds of fat, their fat faces rested near a conveyor belt. Occasionally, the seemingly endless motion of the belts would stop, just long enough for the two mares to eat delectable looking baked goods.

As Sweetie watched, the pair finished what looked like an apple pie in record time. They both nodded to Big Mac, who was standing nearby with a clipboard. He made some sort of note, and the whole process would begin again.

Watching this process go on for a while more, Sweetie was struck with how novel it was to not be in the boutique. Stealing her chance to move around in the dreamscape, because the Creators knew she couldn’t while awake, Sweetie explored the once familiar place.

It looked like a lot of the Apple family, distant relative or close, was in the barn, which had been expanded. Half seemed to be making food for Applejack and Apple Bloom, while the other half seemed to be cranking out goods for commercial sale, if the packaging was anything to go by.

It was..hard to watch, if Sweetie was being honest. It looked like hard work, and Applejack and Apple Bloom seemed to eat endlessly. The other family members were all fat as well, but they weren’t eating anything.

“The demand on Sweet Apple Acres is immense,” Luna said when Sweetie returned from her exploration, “It’s taking all of the family to take care of Applejack and Apple Bloom, as well as meet Ponyville’s demands for goods. The ponies here are working hard, but a lot of processes are mechanized now. Their weights are still skyrocketing, so this won’t be able to continue for long. As more of them become too fat to work, the more work will be put upon everypony else. This system won’t remain viable for long, not if this continues in this fashion.”

Before Sweetie could say anything else, the scene once again changed. It was the schoolhouse...or at least what was left. No furniture remained inside, all of it crushed by the burgeoning students and teacher long ago.

Now, only two ponies remained in the small schoolhouse. The first was Cheerilee, who had long become immobile from the endless stream of free ‘promotional goods’ for the fillies and colts to try over the day. She was in the front portion of the room, taking up most of the room that would have easily held her desk, chair, whiteboard, and whatever else she needed for the day.

Cheerilee was massive, her hooves sucked into the sleeves of fat hanging off her useless legs. Her stomach and rear pooled underneath and around her like a soft mattress, keeping her well insulated from the cold, hard ground. Even her head was spherical, rolls and bulges of fat making it clear that she hadn’t done anything but eat for a long time.

The second pony in the room was Scootaloo. She’d been stuck in the schoolhouse when she’d finally decided to try to leave but hadn’t been able to get her hooves onto the ground. She was similarly immobile like Cheerilee. She took up a significant portion of the back part of the room. Her wings were buried in her fat rolls, as was her tail. She was incredibly fat. Not full of fat rolls like some ponies, giving her a smoother appearance than Cheerilee.

“Ponies are getting trapped by their weight,” Luna said as Sweetie examined Cheerilee again, watching her eat an order of fries, “They can’t control their appetites anymore. Even if they want to lose weight, they can’t in this society you’ve created.”

Sweetie opened her mouth to say something, but the scene changed. They were outside Fluttershy’s cottage now, underneath a huge makeshift tent.Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were underneath it, basking in the cool morning breeze.

Both were beyond massive. They were hooked up to oxygen tanks and other medical equipment, being monitored by some fat doctor in another adjacent tent. Moving closer, Sweetie could see why. Aside from their muzzles, everything else was so packed full of fat it was impossible to discern that these were ponies. They were blind, mouths hanging limply open. Sweetie doubted they could even twitch a muscle under their immense bulk.

Animals were climbing up their massive bodies, a long line brining a constant stream of food to Rainbow and Fluttershy. It seemed endless, stretching into the bowels of Fluttershy’s house.

“The animals aren’t being cared for,” Luna said, “and the weather hasn’t been able to change. Important jobs aren’t being done because so much of the populace is becoming immobile due to their own appetites.”

“Are the animals happy?” Sweetie asked.

Luna sighed, “They appear to be, but they should be the ones being taken care of. It’s the natural order of things.” Luna shook her head, her horn igniting again.

The scene changed once more, to the gardens outside of Canterlot palace. The maze and statuary were all gone, Creators knew where.

Sweetie was astounded at the sight in front of her. Twilight, Princess Celestia, Discord, and Princess Cadance were arranged in a semi-circle formation. All of them were beyond massive, the fattest creatures Sweetie had ever laid eyes upon.

Even though there was some distance between them all, Sweetie could see that their massive bodies were pressed tightly against one another, forming thick rolls of fat that were competing with each other for space.

“Twilight and Cadance came for a feast a few months ago,” Luna explained, “By the time it was over, they were both too fat to get home. The four of them have replaced their healthier passions with trying to fill the void in their hearts and stomachs with food. They care for nothing but to satiate their endless hunger. I am the only one with enough willpower to fight my hunger, which is why I searched to find out what caused all of this. Which is how I found you.”

Sweetie was still in awe of the ponies (and Draconequus), in front of her, “They’re so big,” She murmured.

Luna sighed, and the scene changed again. Someplace hot, arid, and seemingly devoid of plant life. There was a moment of confusion before Sweetie turned around. She was in some valley, surrounded by all sides by steep cliffs. Dragons were everywhere, and they made the four beings in Canterlot look small by comparison.

“This is the Dragon Lands?” Sweetie squeaked, taking in the sights of the huge dragons around. Now she was paying attention, not all the dragons in this valley were blobs, for there were thinner dragons tending to the immobile ones.

Sweetie saw what looked like a purple hill, and waddled closer. It was Spike, it had to be. He sat beside Ember, who was also incredibly fat.

Both dragons were past the point of immobility, past the point of ‘blob’ status. As Sweetie watched, she saw the pair be attended to smaller dragons, being fed and massaged because they were growing so quickly that they were shedding scales quickly, little pools of flab leaking out in between the scales themselves.

Both Spike and Ember were too fat to even bend their claws. Were too fat to talk. It was incredible, and awe-inspiring.

“Ponies aren’t the only ones affected by your wish. Even the dragons, as prideful as they are, succumbed. Now look at them.” Luna’s horn glowed once more, brighter than before.

Sweetie found herself back in the boutique, back in the middle of her dream. Things were still frozen however.

“If you don’t stop this soon, Sweetie Belle, everypony will be in trouble,” Luna explained, “This system cannot go on forever. This will have effects for generations of ponies, but you can still fix this. It’s your wish, and your choice. You have to decide if you want this or not.”

Luna looked ready to say something else, but her stomach growled loudly. She looked alarmed for a moment, before she vanished. Scant seconds later, Sweetie jerked into consciousness.

Sweetie was awake, feeling a gamut of emotions swirling around in her chest. She blinked her bleary eyes until she could see more clearly, looking to Rarity. Rarity was, as she had been for months, a massive mare who had done nothing but eat and use her magic.

“Good morning,” Sweetie wheezed, offering a smile.

Rarity looked up mid-bite. She set her fork down and offered a smile of her own. Igniting her magic, Rarity levitated a huge cake in front of Sweetie. It had five tiers, heavily iced, and decorated with sugar flowers and candles. Sweetie inhaled, smelling the scents of chocolate and sweet buttercream icing.

“Happy...birthday!” Rarity panted, taking a break from her endless feast to do this small thing for her sister.

Sweetie closed her eyes, inhaling as much as she could. With one weak blow, she extinguished one candle. I wish there were things that could help keep my wish going. So ponies don’t have to worry anymore and keep growing like they want to.

Satisfied, Sweetie started eating her cake. After all, she may as well enjoy it. If this wish came true, who was to say how much bigger she would grow?

An unknown amount of time later…

Sweetie sighed happily, using her tongue and lips to continually pull thick, gooey chocolate cake into her mouth so she could eat it. She had her feedbag on, as she’d had for...well a long time. Not sure how long, if she were being honest with herself, but that didn’t matter.

The feedbag let her eat when she wanted while wasting as few calories as possible. It had to be enchanted in some way, for it never ran out of food and what was inside it changed regularly. Sweetie didn’t know how or why, just that she was grateful.

After waking up from her second wish, one had appeared on Rarity. Shortly thereafter, Rarity had been blinded by her own fat. Sagging forehead fat and huge chipmunk cheeks made it impossible for Rarity to see past her own enormity. Which had been coming for a long time, but the feedbags just made it more possible.

Shortly after Rarity got a feedbag, Sweetie did as well. What had happened to Rarity quickly happened to Sweetie as well. Sweetie was blinded by her own body. More and more often, Sweetie had to keep herself entertained with her own thoughts and trying to gauge how big she was getting.

Right now, she could feel Rarity’s flab touching her own. Quite the feat because they had been several feet away from each other, but now they were big enough to touch.

Not only could Sweetie feel Rarity, but she could feel the expanse of her rear pressing into the wall of the boutique, which had also been several feet away when she’d initially beached herself. Now and again, she could hear the sounds of cracking. It was likely she and Rarity were becoming too big for the boutique, maybe too big to be under the same roof.

Sweetie figured the assistance robots would help them move, though they’d probably need to knock a wall or two down to move them out of the building. Not that Rarity would really care anymore, likely.

Sweetie hadn’t heard from Princess Luna since her dream, but rumour had it that she’d ballooned into the largest creature inside or outside of Equestria, even though others were still gaining up on her. Princess Luna had given into her hunger, as her subjects and equals had done before, and she was supposed to be quite the sight.

Sweetie sighed contendedly, feeling tired. Her eyes burned and she found herself feeling less alert. Tired, she thought. Yawning, she closed her eyes, though it made no difference. Allowing herself to relax fully and start to doze, Sweetie wondered what new inventions would allow her to keep gaining. How big could she grow?

Sweetie Belle wasn’t sure, but she was very excited to find out.

Sweetie Belle stared down at the huge cake, weighing her options. She wanted to stay big, wanted to get bigger, but surely not everypony was happy about this right? And that was what mattered.

Sweetie weakly blew out one candle, squeezing her eyes shut tightly. I wish that ponies can choose. They decide if they want to gain, or lose weight. I wish healthy food would come back to give them that chance.

Settling in to eat her cake, Sweetie could only hope ponies, and creatures, could find their own happiness, no matter what they chose to do.

Some time later…

Sweetie exalted in the feeling of the cool fall air caressing her large body. Trapped in an immobile body like she was, it was nice to leave the boutique and get some fresh air. Sweetie inhaled as much as she could, enjoying the sights, sounds, smells, and sensations around her.

Sweetie Belle was being pulled in a cart, by a friend of Rarity’s. A relatively fit young stallion, eager to please and help others in what ways he could. Beside Sweetie, there lay Rarity. In her own cart, being pulled by two chubby stallions.

Rarity and Sweetie liked being large, as it turned out. So did most of Equestria and beyond, much to Sweetie’s surprise and delight. Those that did lose weight, often did so to help take care of others

Sweetie was very large for a filly, her hooves sucked into the sleeves of fat that had replaced the muscles in her legs. She could feel them in and amongst her fat rolls, which was an odd sensation if she were being honest. She was massive, full of fat rolls and folds just like her sister. She could twitch if she thought about it, but Sweetie had her magic, so why bother?

Rarity was larger than Sweetie, and not just because she was an adult. She was larger because of her never ending list of friends, colleagues, and acquaintances that made it their duty to fatten Rarity up for various events around Equestria. They didn’t neglect Sweetie with their feedings, quite the opposite really, but Rarity was still the main focus.

Rarity was a blob of a mare. It was hard to tell where one part of her ended and another part began. She was coated in huge rolls and folds, deep enough to lose a thin pony in Sweetie was willing to bet. Rarity was still beautiful, she was now just an example of extreme elegance, class, and propriety. It had done her business wonders.

After a while, the pair of immobile ponies were carted to their destination: Twilight’s castle. A large ramp had been added to the front entrance, allowing everycreature access to the interior. However, they weren’t doing that today. Sweetie examined the castle as the stallions pulled then toward the back of the castle, to an open field.

Twilight didn’t live in her castle anymore, Sweetie remembered. She and Princess Celestia had decided to remain big fat blobs. From the newspapers and rumours, both were too fat and hungry to talk, so they’d left the ruling up to Princess Luna, who had slimmed down to close to her pre-wish weight. She ruled Equestria, and seemed to take to the job really well, having fun while also taking care of her big sister.

Rounding the corner, Sweetie could see Starlight waiting for them, seated on a huge blanket laid across the grass. Starlight had lost weight as well, though she was still morbidly obese. She was still mobile enough to use stairs, however, and that was incredible in and of itself.

Starlight’s main jobs were to watch over the castle and to create new spells and/or technology to help the fatter ponies. It was hard, rewarding work, and Starlight seemed to be thriving off of it.

Starlight, while certainly one of the more mobile ponies in Sweetie’s friend group, was the...roundest, Sweetie thought. Her fat succumbed more to gravity, looking heavy and soft and round whenever she was standing. Her cheeks, chins and neck fat had collected into two massive rolls, forgoing the usual appearance of obese ponies. The part of her that had the most rolls were her legs, tiny little fat rolls and dimples dotted them abundantly where the rest of her hung down in single, large rolls at best. She looked odd, but nice.

The stallions came to a stop at the edge of the blanket, unhooking themselves and sitting down. Sweetie was going to say something but was interrupted by a pop. Discord teleported in, bringing Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash with him. Out of the three of them, Discord was the only one to lose any weight. He was still obese, a thick roll of fat hanging down to cover some of his legs. He was clearly mobile enough to help the two pegasi.

Rainbow and Fluttershy still wanted to gain, and had done so by huge amounts. Rainbow was dead-set on becoming the fattest pony, wanting to surpass Twilight and Celestia in size. Which made it ironic that Fluttershy was the heavier of the two of them. She’d found she really enjoyed being the one taken care of rather than being a caregiver. Between Discord doting on her, and her animal friends helping, it was no wonder Fluttershy had put on more weight than Rainbow.

Discord took care of Fluttershy’s animal friends, under her own instruction and training. This freed up even more of her time to eat. So Fluttershy ate what she wanted and when.

That wasn’t to say that Rainbow was small, far from it. Her wings were lost amidst her numerous back rolls and folds, hooves sucked into her own leg fat. It was just that Fluttershy looked bigger because you couldn’t really tell she was a pony anymore. The pair was too big for carts, and relied on Discord and his magic for transportation, hygiene, and other needs and desires.

Sweetie smiled at the newcomers, her stomach starting to growl at the sights and smells of the food spread over the blanket. She would wait though for her other friends, which thankfully didn’t take too long.

Applejack, Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, and Scootaloo all arrived together. Applejack and Pinkie had both lost weight, but were still fat.

Applejack’s weight centered around her lower half. Starting with her hips, and flaring out into massive flanks and a plot that was three times the size of what it had been when she’d been thin. Tree-trunk sized legs supported her magnificent rear, built up with both muscle and rippling fat.

Applejack had slimmed down to help work the farm, and to help her family. Apple Bloom more specifically. The ‘little’ filly had nothing little about her anymore. Apple Bloom was immobile, much like Sweetie was. Apple Bloom spent her days doing ‘quality testing’ on Sweet Apple Acres’ goods, and it showed on her magnificently large body.

Pinkie, on the other hoof, had slimmed down for the sake of the town’s morale. She visited all of her friends and acquaintances, delivering treats from Sweet Apple Acres and Sugarcube Corner alike.

Pinkie had gained everywhere, making her look like a jiggly marshmallow. Her size didn’t stop her, though she was a touch slower due to her energetic run turning into a slow waddle. Currently, she was pulling Scootaloo along in her own cart.

Scootaloo had benefited greatly from the free food at the schoolhouse, bulking up faster than most of the other students. Pinkie still took the filly to school everyday, and it was evident in how tightly squeezed into her cart she looked. Like bread rising too far out of a loaf pan. It looked like it hurt, if Sweetie was being honest with herself.

Seeing everyone getting close to being settled, Starlight lit her horn, and teleported away.

A few minutes later, she teleported back, coated in sweat and shaking. She brought Spike and Ember with her. Both were immense, the biggest creatures Sweetie had seen. Ever. Both were too big to even bend their claws. Starlight was using magic to get food to their mouths, since they couldn’t feed themselves.

Which was why Starlight was exhausted by transporting them, obviously. Hopefully she could get them back to the Dragon Lands before she exhausted her magic. Sweetie wasn’t 100% sure it would happen.

Starlight waved Pinkie and Applejack over, ignoring how the fat of her leg swayed with the movement, “Get yourselves settled, everycreature! I hope you all like what I made today.”

“It looks...lovely...my dear,” Rarity wheezed, using her magic to serve tea and lemonade as Pinkie and Applejack unharnessed themselves and made themselves more comfortable.

Starlight beamed at the praise, “Thank you! Now, don’t stand on ceremony. Go ahead and eat! We’re still waiting for the Princesses but they said not to wai-”

A bright flash of midnight blue magic preluded to the arrival of Twilight, Celestia, and Luna.

Sweetie’s jaw dropped, having to crane her head around to fully grasp Twilight and Celestia’s enormity. It shouldn’t be possible, but they looked bigger than Spike and Ember; huge formless blobs of pure fat.

Both of them were so large, that Sweetie was certain that one of them alone could fill a room at the Palace. Canterlot or Twilight’s, Sweetie didn’t think it mattered much.

Sweetie’s examination was broken when Princess Luna walked out from behind her sister, heaving for breath and sweating profusely from the amount of magic required to teleport the mammoth mares.

Princess Luna, while the skinniest pony present, wasn’t as close to her pre-wish weight as the papers would have ponies believe. She was chubby, with a cute double chin, and a slight waddle. No crazy amounts of rolls or folds, which was honestly somewhat refreshing.

Luna wiped at her forehead with a forehoof, “Creators, it is easier to move the moon than it is to move you, sister!”

“Well...look how...big she...is,” Rarity managed.

“No wonder you’re havin’ such a hard time,” Applejack chimed in.

“Is she as...big as the...moon?” Scootaloo wheezed..

Luna grinned, “You all should see Cadance. She’s larger than even my sister. The Crystal Empire has a great deal of mobile ponies, all helping to love and feed Cadance as much as she will eat. Apparently everypony loves it.”

With that, most everypony got settled. Sweetie used her magic to serve herself one of the many Sweet Apple Acres apple pies that were scattered all over the blanket, burying her muzzle into the sweet filling as she went.

Suddenly, Sweetie’s cart started to move on its own accord. Away from the group. It was magic, Sweetie could tell, but her hair had fallen into her face and had stuck her her sticky muzzle, meaning she couldn’t see who it was.

She found herself behind the large purple blob that could only be Twilight before the same magic pushed her bangs away from her eyes. Princess Luna stood, beaming from ear to ear.

Sweetie looked around, noticing that she had disappeared completely behind Twilight’s bulk with more than enough room to spare for Princess Luna. It was humbling.

“I’m very proud of you, Sweetie Belle,” Luna said softly, “Everycreature is happier now. Me especially, for both myself and my sister. I’ve never seen Celestia so happy. Celestia watched over Equestria for a thousand years, and I’ll do the same if it allows Celestia to enjoy herself, no matter how fat she becomes.

Sweetie smiled back, not really noticing the pie filling and crust stuck to her muzzle, “I’m glad, Princess Luna. Thank you!”

Using her magic, Luna guided them both toward the blanket, “TIme to celebrate, I think. Go on, enjoy yourself!”

So, Sweetie did, digging back into the feast with wild abandon, knowing she’d done the right thing for everypony. Pleasant conversation, interrupted by bouts of eating, punctuated the rest of the afternoon as the group of ponies slowly made their way through the huge amount of food they had to go through.
