Twilight let out a sigh of relief as she and her friends exited the Crystal Express. She looked thoughtfully at her crown, the Element of Magic, and reflected on her journey since reviving the Elements of Harmony. All the wonderful friends she'd made, all the villains they'd faced, and how all of them had grown.

"I guess both the girls and guys have grown so much stronger." Twilight said to herself as she reflected upon her recent ascension and the prior ascensions of Steel Edge, Arctic Ace, and Tyrannus Rex. "And to top it all off, I'm a princess now."

Spike smiled at Twilight. "You know, you should wear that crown more often. It looks real good on you!"

"Thanks Spike." Twilight said with a small smile. "But in all honesty, I'm still getting used to having my crown on my head. I'm just, not comfortable with everyone bowing to me everywhere I go."

Rarity waved off Twilight's remark. "Oh please, darling! If I had a crown like yours, I'd never take it off!"

"Glad to know you'd enjoy being treated like royalty." Twilight said with a giggle. And with that, the Main 6 set off to the Crystal Castle. Night soon arrived, and the Main 6 were slumbering peacefully. However, not all was well. A lone figure wearing a black cloak sneaked past the guards patrolling the hallways. Slowly making their way to Twilight's room.

The figure carefully made their way to the crown on Twilight's nightstand. Cautiously removing it from said stand, and placing it into their bag and replacing it with another. However, Twilight's senses had been heightened from her ascension, and she snapped awake when she caught the figure stealing her crown!

"HEY!" Twilight shouted as she gave chase to the figure through the castle's hallways! "She's taken my crown! Stop her!" Twilight tried to fly after the figure, but she wasn't all that used to her wings yet! Causing her to stumble into the figure and knock them both to the ground! The fall removing the figure's hood to reveal a Magi girl with amber skin, and red-and-yellow her. Aqua colored eyes locked onto Twilight's crown as it fell through the nearby mirror! "Why did you steal my crown?! What have you done with it?!"

The Magi girl sneered. "Sorry it had to be this way princess." She said before running through the mirror! Leaving only her cloak behind! A few hours later, Princesses Celestia and Luna arrived with an answer to the thief's identity.

"Sunset Shimmer." Celestia said as she recognized the thief's appearance as told to her by Twilight. "She was my student once. But she became angry and cruel when she didn't get what she wanted." Sadness was present in Celestia's gaze as she looked in the direction of the mirror Sunset had traveled through. "I'd hoped that letting her go down her own path would help her come to realize the error of her ways. Sadly, tonight proved otherwise."

Twilight slowly nodded. "So. . . how did she manage to escape?"

"This is no ordinary mirror." Luna replied. "Much like the mirror that led to an alternate Unity, this mirror is a portal to another world. However, unlike that portal, this one only opens every so often."

"You must retrieve your crown now. The portal will only remain open for so long. You only have a few days to retrieve your crown before the portal closes. Or you would be trapped for two moons. Take care Twilight."

Twilight nodded. "Well Spike? Let's get going! There's no time to lose!" Scooping up Spike in her arms, Twilight ran towards the mirror and dove right into it! Whatever world waited beyond, she would find out when she arrived on the other side.

New World, Old Faces

"Whoa. . . " Twilight said to herself as she stumbled out of the portal. "I feel so disoriented. And my back feels a lot lighter for some-" Twilight felt around her back, and discovered that she no longer had her wings! ". . . reason."

"You're not the only one who's gone through changes." Spike's voice said from below. Twilight looked down at her feet, and saw that Spike had turned into a purple puppy! "Glad to see you still look the same Twilight. But, I wouldn't say the same about your outfit."

Twilight raised an eyebrow, and looked at her reflection. "Huh. I remember this during my teen years. I also look a bit younger. I'd say around high school age." She then returned her attention to Spike. "Maybe there's a spell I can cast to get you back to your old dragon self." Twilight tried to power up her magic, but nothing happened. "Weird. Why isn't my magic working? For that matter, why can't I feel it. . . "

Twilight had come to a shocking revelation about this new world. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't feel any magic. At all. "There's no magic here. . . " Normally, Twilight would have panicked. But thanks to training from Burst Stream, she'd gained a greater handle on herself. "Well, at least it's a body I'm used to. How're you getting the hang of your new body Spike?"

"Not too bad." Spike said as he ran forward, rolled around, and sat. "I bet Night Fang would love to hear that this happened to me."

Twilight rolled her eyes with a knowing smile on her face as she scooped up Spike into her arms. "We can tell our friends all about our little adventures here when we get back. Right now, we'd better get some answers. After all, how hard could navigating a high school be?"

Unfortunately for her, Twilight soon got her answer. A few seconds after she'd gone through the doors, a mob of students burst out from the doors of their recently ended classes! Crowding through the halls as they rushed to get their books and other supplies for the next class in their schedule!

"How does anyone get past this?!" Twilight thought out loud as she struggled to fight through the movements of the crowd! Finally, she managed to get flung into a nearby hallway! "Well. . . at least I'm out of the chaos for the moment. Maybe now I can get some exploration done without nearly getting trampled."

As Twilight wandered the hallway, she noticed a troubling sight. Before her was a girl getting bullied. Said bully was wearing a pair of boots, an orange skirt, a magenta top, and a black leather jacket. But what set alarms off in Twilight's head was the familiar mane of red-and-yellow hair. Beside her was a young man with light-gold skin, and dark gold hair. His clothes seemed to reflect his existing color scheme. A red jacket, light gold pants, red sneakers, and a shirt with a phoenix on it. And it looked like he was joining in on the tormenting.

"Did you really think you could really get away with taking what's mine?!" Sunset Shimmer snapped angrily! "What, did you think that you could honestly stand up to me?!"

The boy beside her scoffed. "You know full well what happens to idiots who think they can beat us. What was the name of that student who was stupid enough to go up against us again? Ah yes. Burst Stream. But then again, you don't need him. Not when you've got that towering thug always watching your meek little back."

"D-Don't talk about Ty that way. . . " The girl said quietly as she tried to shrink away from her two tormentors.

"Leave her alone!" Twilight said defiantly as she marched forward to the girl's aid! Glaring at the two bullies in front of her!

Sunset blinked before sneering. "Obviously, you don't know how things work around here. What do you think Goldenrise?" She asked the boy next to her. "Should we explain how things are run in Castalot High?"

"And what would this 'explanation' happen to entail?" A familiar voice asked. A young man that looked like Tyrannus Rex had arrived on the scene! Standing protectively in front of the girl. Both bullies seemed to flinch at his arrival! "If either of you lay a hand on them, I'll make sure neither of us are on school grounds when I decide to hit back. I consider myself a tolerant individual. But I won't let you do as you please to my girlfriend."

Goldenrise scoffed. "Big words from a big man. But can you really prove we're in the wrong? Look how well that turned out for Burst Stream. I've gotta say, I'm disappointed that someone like him surrendered so easily to us? It pains me to see such a good friend of mine to see him in his state."

". . . If you don't have anything better to do, then leave." Tyrannus growled. And with that, the pair of bullies left. Ty then turned his attention to the girl against the wall. "Did they hurt you Fluttershy?"

This confirmed Twilight's suspicions. "Is she all right?"

"Yes. I'm fine." Fluttershy said with a small smile. "It was very brave of you to do that. No one's ever stood up to Sunset Shimmer before."

Tyrannus sighed. "Almost no one."

"Well. . . that being said, you're welcome." Twilight said with a smile. "I'm Twilight Sparkle. And as you've probably guessed, it's my first day here."

"Name's Tyrannus Rex. But call me Ty, please." Tyrannus nodded. "You'd better see Principal Celestia. You're going to need a schedule if you don't want to wander around aimlessly. Fluttershy and I will take you there. Follow us." With Tyrannus and Fluttershy guiding her, Twilight found herself at the door of the principal's office.

"Wait." Ty said before Twilight went inside. "Thanks for earlier. Everyone here is miserable because of those two, but there's practically no one who would stand up to them. You've gut more guts than half the school. And for that, you've got my respect."

Twilight smiled. "I'm used to dealing with big bullies. So are a lot of friends of mine." And with that, Twilight headed into the principal's office. The Celestia of this world acted very much the same as the one Twilight knew from Unity. Twilight then decided to ask the big question. "So, have you seen a crown around here? It's gold and has a starburst symbol on it."

"Oh, you mean the crown for the Princess of the Fall Formal?" Principal Celestia asked. She then showed Twilight some pictures of the crown. On Sunset Shimmer's head. "Every year, we crown a princess for the dance. The crown is given to her after the school has cast its votes. Is there anything else I can do for you?"

Twilight shook her head. "No thank you. I've gotten all my questions answered. I'm off to class!"

"My door is always open." Principal Celestia said with a warm smile as Twilight left.

Classes weren't all that difficult given Twilight's learning ability. She had managed to settle in quite quickly. It's not that different from learning at Princess Celestia's school back home. The bell for the end of class rang, and Twilight whipped our her schedule. "Looks like it's lunch period now."

Twilight headed to the cafeteria, and noticed that the whole cafeteria was split into different groups. That is, save for one table consisting of this world's Inferno, Tyrannus, Steel, Magnet North, and Akage!

"Excuse me?" Twilight asked. "Do you mind if I sit here?"

Inferno smiled at her. "Hey, you're that girl Ty was talking about! Nice to finally see someone stare down Sunset Shimmer! Name's Inferno Flare! And as far as I'm concerned, you're welcome at this table anytime."

"Thanks!" Twilight said with a smile. "Hope you don't mind me asking, but why's the rest of the cafeteria so specialized?"

Inferno frowned. "You can thank Sunset Shimmer and Goldenrise for that. Ever since they showed up, things slowly got worse and worse!"

"So why don't they tell Principal Celestia or Vice-Principal Luna?" Twilight asked. "Can't they do anything about them?"

Magnet North shook his head. "I'm afraid not lass. Those two are really good at hiding all their bad deeds. And to top it all off, they're really good at blackmail. Anyone who could speak out can't." He then sighed. "And a good friend of ours knows that silence all too well."

"What. . . happened to Burst Stream?" Twilight hesitantly asked. This instantly got the entire table's attention. "Oh, I don't know him." Well, that's half true. "I just heard Goldenrise mention him when he and Sunset were bullying Fluttershy in the hallway earlier."

Inferno took a deep breath. "If you want to find Burst Stream, he won't be out here. He'll be at place where he'll probably be alone."

"Why alone?" Twilight asked.

Steel Edge looked nervously over to Twilight. "Hey. . . should I tell her?"

"I'm his best friend Steel." Inferno Flare said sadly. "It should be me." He then directed his attention back at Twilight. "You heard what Goldenrise said about what he did to get Burst to not stand against him?" Twilight nodded. "Well, Burst had a crush on Principal Celestia. He never had any foolish ideas of getting romantically involved with her, but he did want to get it off his chest. And one day, he got the courage to at tell her about it and get it out of his head."

Inferno Flare then narrowed his eyes. "And then Sunset Shimmer and Goldenrise went and turned it into the worst day of his life. Burst Stream was one of the few people who stood against them. He wasn't afraid to do the right thing, and tell them he wasn't going to let them. But he always got so close when they slipped away! They'd always play innocent right when us and Burst were close to nailing them!"

"That sounds so frustrating." Twilight said. "So how did Principal Celestia figure into this?"

Inferno Flare sighed. "Well, she's pretty good friends with Burst's family. Especially when his dad disappeared. He used to see her a lot as a kid, and started developing a crush on her. And that's what Sunset and Gold used to their advantage. Burst and our principal would occasionally go on outing together. They weren't dating, but the pictures Sunset and Goldenrise took could be taken way out of context. And if pictures like that were released? Well. . . let's just say we'd be in the market for a new principal and Burst wouldn't be going here anymore. The fact that they knew about his crush only added weight to their blackmail."

"That's so horrible. . . " Twilight said in total shock. Clenching her fist in outrage at Sunset Shimmer's actions. "Tell me where I can sign up for being Fall Formal Princess."

"Head for the gym." Akage answered. "Pinkie Pie should be there setting up decorations for the dance. Talk to her, and she'll sign you up."

Twilight nodded. "Thank you." And with that, she made her way to the gym. Pinkie Pie was just as random and excitable as Twilight remembered.

"Sooo, what brings you here?" Pinkie Pie asked cheerfully. Twilight was about to answer when she heard Applejack's counterpart for this world come in with a crate of fizzy apple cider. As soon as Pinkie Pie confirmed the order, Twilight got to her reply.

"I'm here to sign up for the Fall Formal Princess contest." Twilight answered.

Applejack spit out her drink! "I wouldn't do that if I were you. The last girl who ran against Sunset Shimmer was totally trashed." Applejack then explained how Sunset Shimmer sabotaged each opposing candidate by either rumors of blackmail. "In short, you'd best watch your back."

"Don't worry." Twilight said with a smirk. "I know how to handle myself." And with that, Twilight Sparkle officially signed up in the running for Fall Formal Princess. It must have been fate then that Sunset, Goldenrise and their lackeys Snips and Snails burst through the gym doors. Pinkie Pie managed to rush Twilight through the nearest exit. Sparing Twilight the furious look on Sunset Shimmer's face as she saw Twilight's name on the candidate list.

"Who is this Twilight Sparkle?" Sunset asked coldly.

Twilight breathed a sigh of relief. "Glad I got out of there before things got nasty." She wandered off a little, and saw a familiar figure sitting under the stairs. White jacket, blue jeans, black sneakers, shirt with a Blue-Eyes White dragon on it. Yep. This was Burst's counterpart. "Burst Stream?" Twilight calling his name caught by surprise. "I was wondering if we could talk?"

"So you're the one who's taking a stand." Burst Stream said with a nod. "Listen. You don't know what you're getting into. Take my advice. Stop. NOW."

Twilight shook her head in disappointment. "Don't tell me you're seriously letting bullies like Sunset Shimmer and Goldenrise rule the school with fear and misery?!"

"You don't understand! I have to keep out of it!" Burst Stream snapped! "I don't want anyone else getting hurt!"

Twilight narrowed her eyes. "I KNOW why you're staying out of this! But how can you live like this?! Knowing that this whole school's being terrorized and people are suffering?! What would your dad think of you?!" Hearing this, Burst Stream visibly stiffened before getting up to leave. "Oh no. . . Burst, wait! I'm sorry if I went too far! I-!"

"Don't apologize." Burst Stream said flatly before looking at Twilight. "You said you wanted to talk? Meet me at the entrance when classes are done. It'll be easier to talk at my place." And with that, Burst began to leave. "Hope you like cookies. Mom made some this week."

Twilight breathed a sigh of relief. Well, into the dragon knight's den. . .

Wake Up the Hero!

The last of the afternoon classes soon ended, and Twilight headed for the school's entrance. "Yo." Burst Stream called out. He was waiting for her by the doors. "Come on. I don't live too far from school." The pair walked and soon arrived at Burst Stream's house. "Home sweet home."

"Welcome back Burst!" Lumina called from the living room as she saw her son enter with Twilight in tow. "Oh dear, I didn't think you'd bring a girl home so soon!"

Burst rolled his eyes, and smiled knowingly. "Trust me Mom. If I'd met her any sooner, you'd have seen her a lot more often. But, could you give the two of us some space? We've got a touchy subject to discuss." As soon as his mom left, Burst's expression got a bit more serious. "You said that you wanted to talk, right?"

"Yeah. I did." Twilight said with a nod. "You want to know why I'm running against Sunset? It's not just because of how miserable she's made everyone. There's something more to it. And I'm going to sound a bit crazy, but please hear me out."

Burst Stream nodded. "Shoot."

"Okay. It's a good thing the couch is right behind you." Twilight said as she took a deep breath. "I'm not from this world. I'm a magical goddess-princess who comes from a world where magic is real and is filled with tons of mythical and fantastic creatures. Me and my friends over there are a team who fight to protect our world from evil. And you? Your counterpart is the leader of another team of heroes. Ones that are good friends of mine, and have faced evil more times than I'd like to count. Some of them have even ascended to godhood like I did. Or, as we call them back home, avatars."

Twilight sighed. "The point is, my world's version of you promised to give a sad story a happy ending. And to do that, he became a hero. He trained under his father, another avatar, and became strong enough to fulfill his promise. But that's not what made him strong. The reason he became strong was because his parents, his dad having the most influence on him, raised him to be a good person. One who would never standby while people were in trouble. And somewhere, deep within you, I know you were raised the same way! I'm not asking you to be like the Burst Stream I know. I'm asking you to take a stand for what you know is right! I don't know what happened to your dad, but I do know that he wouldn't want you to just sit here and let Sunset and Goldenrise make everyone miserable!"

". . . " Burst Stream silently rose. Quietly gazing at a picture of him and his parents on a nearby wall. "My dad always said that even if I wasn't strong, I should stand for what's right. That it didn't matter how hurt I got because if one person takes a stand, others would rise to their side. My friends pleaded, almost begged for me to stand up against Sunset and Goldenrise after they blackmailed me."

Burst Stream turned to face Twilight. Wiping tears from his eyes. "And ever since I stopped, they kept fighting on in my place. Because I stood up against them, so did they. None of them wanted things to carry on the way they did. I started this, and they've been carrying on without me. Now?" Burst's eyes steeled with resolve. "I'm going to finish it. But now's not the time to stand."

"Why not?" Twilight asked.

Burst smirked. "My dad said this: The best time to strike is when the bad guys think they've won. I know that Sunset and Goldenrise are going to try and wreck your run. So when they do, you can count on me to show up. It's a promise."

"I'm glad I could wake up the hero you really are." Twilight said with a smile. "Well, that being said, I'd better go."

Burst Stream tilted his head. "Where's your house at? I could ask my mom to help drive you there." He then noticed Spike's head pop out from Twilight's backpack. "But, I don't think we've got newspapers lying around."

"You sure seem accepting of all this. Especially after I told you something pretty unbelievable." Twilight noted. "And that's without me mentioning my dog's actually a dragon back where I come from."

Burst Stream smiled. "Well, I kind of saw something unbelievable when I was a kid." He then stared outside as his mind drifted down memory lane. "Once when I was little, I saw a dragon. It was living and breathing, but it also looked mechanical too. What's the word to describe that? Oh yeah. Biomechanical. It was platinum in color, and it had these really cool electric blue eyes. I was a little scared at first, but it seemed to smile at me. It even nuzzled against me. Then my dad showed up, and it seemed to recognize him before fading away."

"Wow. That is pretty unbelievable." Twilight said in awe. "Well, thanks for the offer. But I've got a good place in mind." And with that, Twilight headed back to CHS and made herself a bed out of books. "Tomorrow's going to be a better day. I can feel it!"

That night, back at Burst's house, Burst was in the garage. Looking at a motorcycle that was the sole vehicle in the garage. "Hey Dad." Burst said as he rested a hand on one of the bike's handles. "Some pretty bad things have been going on at school. And they got worse because I didn't do anything to stop the bullies that were the cause of that. But I'm going to fix that now. Tomorrow, I make things right. With all that I've got."

And with that, Burst Stream left the garage and returned to bed. However, as he slept, a strange distortion appeared in front of his house. The distortion fully formed into what looked like a mirror. And the dragon Burst saw as a kid watched the house from the other side.

"He is the one." The dragon said as he held onto a small, black deck. "The one who will invoke the advent. . . "

Burst Stream slowly put on his bike helmet as he started up his dad's bike. "Time to make an entrance." And with that, Burst Stream rode off to school. Parking his motorcycle in the student parking area. He noticed everyone looking at him. Well, I've got their attention now. Burst removed his helmet, and headed to his locker. However, he felt a familiar presence. "I was wondering when you two would show up."

Sunset And Goldenrise came into view when Burst closed the door to his locker. "Well, well. Someone looks in higher spirits." Goldenrise said with a frown. "What's with deciding to make an entrance all of a sudden? It's not you wanted Sunset's attention when she offered you a relationship."

"Considering Flash Sentry wasn't smart enough to see he was being used by you, I'd rather not wind up as someone's arm candy." Burst shot back with a calm tone. "Besides, I just wanted to get some mileage out of the bike my dad left. It's probably all I've got left from him." Hearing this made Goldenrise flinch. "Come to think of it, the minute you tried joining my group of friends you asked where my dad was? What is he to you? Or rather, what was he to you in the other world?"

Both Sunset and Goldenrise were shocked. "That's right. I know you two aren't from around here." Burst said with a nod. "But I'm not like you two. No, I plan on keeping your secret safe because your ambitions are going to make you fall hard. Namely because you two are weak enough to not have limits to how far you'll go."

"You don't know who you're messing with!" Sunset Shimmer growled! "Maybe you've forgotten, but I've been voted as Fall Formal Princess since Freshman year!"

Burst Stream got right in Sunset's face. "And you think that'll make me bow to you?" He then brushed the two off. "It's actually you two who don't know what you're up against. Because once I set out to do something, nothing stands in my way. You two should just be lucky I'm not the vengeful type."

"That guy. . . " Sunset Shimmer fumed! "First Twilight Sparkle follows me from Unity, and now he's back?! Ugh! These obstacles just keep piling up!"

Goldenrise put a hand on Sunset's shoulder. "Calm down. We still have the plan to wreck Twilight's running for Fall Formal Princess. We just need to use those two idiots that keep following you around to do it."

"Good plan Gold." Sunset Shimmer said with an evil smile. "She's the bigger threat to our plans. I want to rule Unity, and you want Aether to recognize you as a hero. Come tonight, we'll both get what we deserve."

Twilight's task was by no means an easy one. Sunset Shimmer had made the separation of this world's version of her friends quite bad through the use of many false text messages. It took some doing, especially since her friends' counterparts were at each other's throats, but she'd done it. And all it took to reforge their connection was a loss to Rainbow Dash at a soccer match. Granted, Twilight never expected to win, but she still gave it all she had. She'd even managed to bring together the whole school! It seemed like things were going her way!

Burst looked at the sight with a proud smile before making his way over to his friends' table. "Room for one more?" All of Burst's friends nearly tackled him to the ground as he sat down! However, Burst caught a troubling sight. That being Snips and Snails following Sunset Shimmer as she left the cafeteria. "Akage? Could you-?"

"On it." Akage said with a nod. And he stealthily tailed Sunset Shimmer and her lackeys. He whipped out his phone to record what they were doing. What Akage saw made him scowl mentally as soon as he stopped recording. "Time to throw a monky wrench into their sabotage. . . "

Things almost went as Sunset Shimmer had planned. Twilight was sent to Vice Principal Luna's office for trashing the decorations. A deed that Snips and Snails were actually responsible for, but that fault was shifted to Twilight thanks to pictures of her soccer match against Rainbow Dash cut and edited into the scenes of destruction. Twilight was about to be kicked out of the running when Akage threw open the door! Quickly showing Vice Principal Luna the pictures he'd taken of the true culprits. Vice Pirncipal Luna apologized to Twilight, and instantaneously let her resume her running for Fall Formal Princess.

"Thanks for the save Akage." Twilight said with a sigh of relief.

Akage nodded. "Not a problem. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go." And with that, Akage seemed to vanish in a puff of smoke!

"Huh. So he's a ninja here too." Twilight said with a nod. The rest of the day carried out like normal. However, upon meeting her friends at Carousel Boutique, Twilight heard the unfortunate news about the dance being cancelled. She then decided to explain why she was here, and where she was really from. Or at least, she would have if it weren't for Pinkie Pie giving an extremely lucky guess. But regardless, this world's version of her friends set out to help Twilight make sure the Fall Formal happened.

Once they were back at CHS, they immediately set to work restoring the decorations. And they weren't alone in their efforts for long. More and more students took notice, and decided to lend a hand. Bringing the school even closer together. It went without saying that Twilight's actions earned her plenty of votes from the students.

However, Sunset took note of what was happening. "Looks like I'll need to take more drastic measures." Her thoughts turning to the portal residing in the statue at the school's entrance. "I've got the feeling tonight will happen just the way I want it to. . . "

Advent: HENSHIN!

Twilight had a bad feeling in her gut. As the dance went on, she noticed the absence of Sunset Shimmer and Goldenrise. She suspected the two were up to something, and her suspicions were confirmed when Snips and Snails abducted Spike right before she was crowned! She and her friends gave chase, and found Sunset standing by the statue with a sledgehammer at the read with Goldenrise at her side! It was then that she gave Twilight an ultimatum. Hand over the Element of Magic, or never see Unity again.

". . . No." Twilight said firmly. Visibly shocking Sunset Shimmer! "Unity's survived without the Elements of Harmony, and it will again. And I've seen the damage you've done without the Element of Magic. Leaving it in your hands would only make things worse!"

Sunset Shimmer scowled, and dropped the hammer. Ordering Snips and Snails to release Spike. But as Twilight's friends crowded around the crown's rightful owner, Sunset Shimmer snapped! "Oh yes! She's just so special!" Sunset was about to charge at Twilight when the sound of a motorcycle could be heard coming right towards them! Sunset broke off as Burst Stream pulled up and dismounted!

"Hope I'm not late to the party." Burst remarked as he set his helmet on his bike before looking to Goldenrise. "It's honestly pathetic how far you and Sunset have gone just for one crown."

"Coming from the guy who just stood by and let us have free reign for so long?" Goldenrise asked with a scowl.

"I realized my mistake. You two haven't." Burst said calmly. "I knew that if my dad were here, he would be ashamed in me. But more than that?" Burst Stream glared at Goldenrise. "He'd be disgusted by what you've done."

"RRRRRRAAAAAHHH!" Gold screamed as he charged at Burst! Only for Burst Stream to grab him by the arm and throw him at Snips and Snails! All of this prompted Sunset to get in on the action as soon as Gold had recovered! The situation becoming a game of keep away as the crown was thrown all over! Everyone trying to keep it out of the hands of one of the others! Eventually, the crown wound up in Sunset's hands!

"Finally!" Sunset said with a greedy smile. "After so long, I'm finally going to get all that I've ever wanted!" But as Sunset placed the crown upon her head, a surge of dark magic radiated from her body! Warping her into a demonic form! "Now the crown and the power with it is finally mine! Just as it was supposed to be all along!" She then used her magic to transform Goldenrise and turn Snips and Snails to stone!

Goldenrise glared down at Burst Stream. "You've been a thorn in our sides for far too long!" He dove down, and slugged Burst across the face! "You're pathetic! Weak!" Goldenrise spat as he kept attacking Burst! "How could Aether ever stand having someone like you as his son?!"

"Because. . . I'm stronger than you think." Burst said weakly as he got up. "Weakness isn't a measure of helplessness. It's. . . a measure of how much stronger you can get!" He then spread his arms out as he stood in front of the students! "For too long I let you both make everyone miserable. Even if it kills me. . . I won't let you take anyone else's smile!"

Demon Sunset sneered. "How touching. Acting like a big hero. You want to be one so bad?" She then launched a massive fireball at Burst! "THEN MEET YOUR END LIKE ONE!"

"AAAAGGHH!" Burst screamed as the fireball engulfed him in flame! He could barely see Sunset and Gold readying another attack when something blocked them! A shifting distortion in space materialized in front of Burst as he tried to power through the pain! When the shifting stopped, the distortion looked like a mirror panel. And staring at Burst from the other side was the dragon he'd seen as a kid! "You. . . "

"Do you want to save them?" The dragon asked as it motioned towards the students cowering behind them. "Are you just going to let those bullies have their way?"

"No. . . " Burst said in a pained voice. "I won't. . . let them win! Someone. . . has to stop them!"

The dragon nodded. "A wise answer. But as you are, you stand no chance. However, there is a way." The dragon reached through the mirror distortion, and was holding a small, black deck with an emblem similar to its head on the top. "By contracting with me, I will lend you my power. We will fight as partners. But once you link with me, there's no going back. Do you accept this advent?"

". . . Yes." Burst said weakly as he reached out and grabbed the deck!

The dragon seemed to smile. "Then from now on, you are Kamen Rider Bahamut." Just like his father before. Unlike then, I will not fail him! A belt formed around Burst's waist! The flames around him disappearing! "Cry out 'Henshin!' after slotting the advent deck into place, and your power will be unleashed!"

Burst did as instructed! Slotting in the advent deck! "Henshin!" A sphere of energy burst out from the belt as the deck seemed to spin inside the belt! Two rings then rotated around Burst! Covering him in armor, and disappearing as soon as the armor fully formed! When the smoke cleared, the transformed Burst Stream stood tall.

"What?!" Goldenrise exclaimed! "Where's Burst Stream?! He should've been burnt to a crisp by now!"

"I. . . " The transformed Burst paused. His voice was slightly distorted, but revealing his true identity wouldn't be the best move. "I saved him before you could hurt him any worse than he already has. Now that you look like the monsters you really are, I can finally get involved!"

"WHO ARE YOU?!" An angry Demon Sunset screamed!

Burst reflected on what the strange dragon had said earlier. "Kamen Rider Bahamut." He then got into a fighting stance! "And you're about to feel the power of a dragon!" Bahamut leaped into the air, and punched Goldenrise in the face! Sending him plummeting to the ground! "Let's see if you're any good on the ground!" While Kamen Rider Bahamut was fighting the transformed Goldenrise, Twilight and her friends had unlocked the magic of friendship! Bahamut noticed, and threw Goldenrise towards Sunset Shimmer! He then leaped up to where Twilight and her friends had assembled, and positioned himself into a side kick as they unleashed their magic! "RIDER. . . KICK!" As soon as he made contact a massive explosion happened! Forming a crater in the ground!

Kamen Rider Bahamut stepped out from the crater, and looked down at the reverted Sunset Shimmer and Goldenrise. "Looks like my work's done." He then looked over to Twilight and her friends. "You guys can handle the rest." He then got on the bike. "Don't worry. I was able to send Burst Stream home. I'll just be returning his ride." And with that, he rode off. Soon transforming back to Burst Stream and soon collapsing on his bed. The advent deck in his hands.

Back at the Fall Formal, Twilight had given Sunset and Goldenrise a chance to reform before going through the portal. Her mission completed. For now, the battles of both heroes were over.

As Burst Stream slumbered, the dragon he'd contracted with watched from the mirror distortion. On the other side was a whole other realm. The Advent Dimension. A strange, mystical place populated by biomechanical beasts and other strange creatures. For a while, it had been cut-off from our world. That is, until now. As soon as the dragon turned away from Burst to close the portal, he was faced with more Advent Beasts. Five of them. Each holding an advent deck.

"You know that isn't what your previous partner would've wanted Platinum." The black dragon Advent Beast answered. In contrast to the platinum dragon, its eyes were fire-red. "The previous Bahamut didn't want to get his loved ones involved."

The platinum dragon narrowed his eyes. "Don't tell me you wouldn't have jumped in to save the child of YOUR previous Rider partner Drakepyre! Was I supposed to let the boy die?! Leave his mother to mourn the loss of yet another person she held dear?! And besides, the boy wanted to save people. He chose to fight like my previous partner. He's stronger than the last Kamen Rider Bahamut. I can feel it. And with his help, we might finally be able to defeat him. The one responsible for the fall of the previous Kamen Riders!"

"As nice as that would be, it would be you two alone." A biomechanical dinosaur added. "Like our last partners, their children are close friends. No doubt because of how close their parents were. But you forget, they willfully unbound themselves from us so that their children would not be in danger. And there haven't been any strays or rogues venturing into the human world."

A biomechanical falcon with blade-like wings shook his head. "I wouldn't be too sure about that. Some of the more hostile entities on this side have been stirring lately. Especially before Platinum intervened. Like it or not, we may have to defy the last wishes of our previous partners just to keep their children and their world safe."

"Can't we just contact those other Kamen Riders?" A humanoid ninja-themed Advent Beast asked. "They use Advent Decks too, and they're familiar with fighting against great evil! What do you think Dracoplatinum?"

The platinum dragon, his true name being revealed, sighed. "The riders of Ventara haven't faced anyone as deadly as the one who sent Aether to the Advent Void. And for better or worse, my return has been sensed. I just hope Discord is willing to tell these kids why none of their parents talk about Aether Stream anymore. But until then, I'll remain on call."

Dracoplatinum looked towards the portal he'd been using to keep an eye on Burst Stream. "He needs me. As I need him. Just as this world needs defenders. It needs the Kamen Riders. . . "
