“Welcome, ladies and gentle colts to the newest and hottest game show in Equestria! Date That Dragon, with host and special guest; Princess Candace and Prince Shining Armor!” The Announcer spoke in a booming voice
Princess Candace walked out and waved to the audience. Her eyes are light purple with her long mane being a moderate violet with moderate rose and pale gold streaks and finally, her coat is a pale, light grayish cerise color.
Her husband, Shining Armor walked next to the Princess of Love, his eyes being a moderate cerulean blue color, his mane is a moderate sapphire blue with moderate cerulean and dark phthalo blue streaks and finally, his coat is a light grey.
“Now for a first contestant, the Princess of Friendship and The Element of Magic; Princess Twilight Sparkle!” The Announcer shouted
With a flash of magic filling the box on the far left, Twilight appeared with a purple toothbrush in her mouth, her normal clean mane looked similar from the accident that happened on her first day in Ponyville.
“What’s going on?” Twilight muttered out, with the toothbrush in her mouth.
“Now for our next contestant, is one of the most beautiful ponies in Ponyville, The Element of Generosity and one of Twilight’s best friends; Rarity!” The Announcer cried out.
The magic light lit the room like before, appearing in a flash of light, Rarity, was humming to herself, looking like she normally does throughout the day, amazing. With a book and penial is held with her magic.
“Oh Twilight darling, you look terrible!” Rarity said, letting out a small gasp.
“Yeah, I’m sorry that I didn’t know thousand of ponies I don’t even know, alongside my brother and sister-in-law would break into my house and set whatever this is up!” Twilight said, waving her two front hooves in the air.
Princess Candace blushed, before lighting her horn up to fix Twilight’s mane and get rid of the toothbrush.
“Now for the next lovely lady, she once ran her own town filled with ponies all with the same Cutie Mark, but now reformed and Princess Twilight Sparkle's former student, welcome to the show; Starlight Glimmer!” The Announcer spoke
Starlight appeared in between both Twilight and Rarity. The unicorn looked at her two friends and then the loud crowd of ponies.
“Oh, I get it. We’re on some sort of game show located in your living room, that makes sense.” Starlight said, leaning back in her chair.
“No, it doesn’t!” Twilight cried out
“Please Twilight, I once faced a large white rabbit that wanted to steal a box of cereal from some fillies. Many lives were lost that day.” Starlight spoke, hanging in her head in sadness.
“Right… Now for our last contestant, coming from The Dragon Lands, and being The Dragon Lord, she tough, fast and hates being called a Princess; Dragon Lord Ember!”
The three mares looked at the box on the far right where Ember appeared a puff of smoke, she was holding the Bloodstone Scepter in her left claw while her breakfast meat in the other.
“What?” She asked while eating causing Rarity to roll her eyes in disgust.
“Now, for the man, these fine ladies will be fighting over; Spike The Dragon!” The Announcer shouted, causing the three ponies and one dragon to shout in disbelief.
Spike appeared, looking much taller than the last time Ember had seen him, he even grew wings, he saw the four girls all lined up in a row. While all the girls had a red brush on their cheeks and their heart beating a little faster at the site of the handsome dragon.
“Now many may not know. But male dragon only picks one mate until she passed away and then he searches for another. So, this show will be about Spike picking his one true mate. Welcome to Reptile Romance! Now there’s a booth for you girls… And Spike to share your thoughts and feelings about the date.”
Rarity:
“Look I understand that when Spikey Wikey was younger he had a crush on me. Now that he is a big strong and handsome man, who is also a prince, it clear that he would choose me over those over girls. Even if I never return his feelings, and he somewhat moves on from his crush on me, I’m still going to win this!”
Twilight Sparkle
“I have no idea what is going on. Why would I want to be Spike mate for life! He’s my number one assistant, I don’t have a crush on him that would be silly. (Heh, heh) But, let just say I might have the smallest of feelings for him, I can’t let Ember win, that will mean Spike would have to move away and I love him too much. Like a normal friendship love and totally not an ‘I’m hopelessly in love with that assistant’ who looks after me in sickness and health. (Sigh) ‘Oh Spike.’
Starlight Glimmer
“Spike? When I first moved here, the girls were still not trusting me, he and Twilight were the few that would give me a chance. He stood up for me and well both Trixie and Maud had figured out that I have a tiny crush on him. Plus, I feel like Rarity doesn’t truly love him like I do, there also the fact I never used him as a pin cushion. Yeah, Rarity Spike told me about that! Plus Spike and Rarity, Sparity, please that a world you can’t even say.”
Ember
“Spike, the pipsqueak who all about ‘friendship’ and ‘parties’ looks like that?! I might have thought of him as cute before, but now he's a hunk of a dragon. Yeah, he’ll be a king, seeing that we’re both dragons, those other ponies should just back down. I will make Spike my mate for life, he makes me laugh and well he will be a good king, it not like I love him or love that dorky laugh and smile he has. Or think it cute how easily he gets confused, Ok, fine, I might like him a little bit. But that doesn’t mean I love him!”
Spike
“So, wait, hold on. I have four beautiful girls fighting for my heart. Oh, Celestia, who do I choose, why is Rarity here? I thought she didn’t return my feelings and what about Twilight! I’m her assistant, her first ever friend. Does Ember and Starlight even love me? I swear if this is another one of Discord tricks, I’m going to make sure he misses his old stone prison. You hear me Discord, you don’t scare me, Fluttershy somewhat does, but not you!”
“And there you have it, folks, these girls will all have one date with Spike, wherever they want and after all four dates, Spike will have to choose his mate for life, who wins is all up to you, see you next time in Reptile Romance! Choose The Ship" The Announcer said, with hooves stomping on the ground.
"Hello every pony, welcome back to Reptile Romance, Choose The Ship! Last time we meet the contestants that will battle to be Spike's mate for life. This time, not only do we pick the order, but the first dates as well.” The Announcer said
Twilight was off stage standing next to Princess Cadence, the Princess of Love was trying to explain what she was up to with Twilight just cutting her off any chance the young princess could get.
“Are you serious! If you wanted to repay Spike for all he has done for The Crystal Empire, why a game show, why host it in my house! In the middle of the morning!” Twilight cried out in anger.
“Look, where else was I meant to hold it? If it was at The Crystal Empire then every single mare would be rushing to be on the show. Canterlot has Princess Celestia and you know how overprotective she is about Spike, Manehattan is too crowded. Plus with the show bring here, three of the four girls already live here, it’s a win, win.” Cadence explain Twilight open her mouth before closing it and trying to think about something.
“You could have at least warn me or wrote a letter saying ‘oh Twilight, do you mind if your brother and I throw a game show in your caste. By the way, you’ll also be on the show too, toodles.’” Twilight said, copying Cadence voice.
The Princess of Love rolled her eyes at Twilight’s poor attend at copying her voice, letting out a small laugh in the progress.
“Twilight, I know you love Spike. All the other girls have feelings for him too. Plus I bet you want your mother to stop sending all those ‘How To Date’ books.” Cadence said Twilight let out a soft sigh.
“Fine,” Twilight said with a pout.
“Remember the booth, if you want some way to let out some steam and just your thoughts,” Cadence said before walking away.
Twilight looked over to see Spike in a conversation with her older brother and Rarity trying some of her normal of the ways she wins stallions hearts.
Twilight Sparkle:
“This show is a waste of time! So I may have some form of a crush on Spike and since I have known him for the longest time, it is almost certain that he’ll pick me. Unless, he picks Ember and moves to the Dragon Lands, or he might pick Rarity, I'll be living alone and then I start buying cats and then I’ll get more cats. Then those cats start having more cats! Until my own castle is filled with cats! I’ll forever be known as The Princess of The Cats!”
The lights started up again, Twilight was now mentally panicking. The girls sat down on their stands while Spike have to stand at his, the girls heard The Announcer talk about the wonderful prizes that some of the losers get. Then all the prizes that they got alongside Spike if they won. None of the girls didn’t know who this ‘Announcer’ was, there were points where the Announcer sound sound like a stallion or a mare with the same energy and talk behavior of a pony like Pinkie Pie.
“Now, what everyone has been waiting for. The order of the dates, we ran this through a random number generator to see who won, each of the girls got a number from one to fifty. Now, when the number is called out, the girl who has the right number or the one closest to that number will go first then repeat three more times! Now let’s GO!”
“The first number is forty-nine!”
Rarity gave a smile, sending a wink over to the male dragon
“The second number is twenty-four!”
Starlight Glimmer blinked on surprised, giving Spike a wave.
“Third number is fifty-two”
Ember gave a proud smile, puffing out her chest.
“Forth number is fifteen”
Twilight Sparkle gave a pout, having to be last in the small group, meaning that she has to outdo three other girls.
Rarity
“Of course I got first. Why wouldn’t I? No need to worry about outdoing those other girls. After Spikey and my date, those other ladies should just give up, there’s no outdoing the best! But the show will go on, even if I would have clearly won the best prize of them all. Oh, Spikey, I will be the princess and you are already a prince.”
Starlight Glimmer
“Second? I guess that isn’t too bad. I feel sorry for Twilight, getting the last place. But as the saying goes ‘all is fair in love and war’ just like in my favorite film; ‘The War of the Roses’ it just so romantic. I wonder what Rarity would do for her date with Spike? Eh, I shouldn't really care, I just wonder what my date would be like.”
Ember:
“Third! I got THIRD! Those ponies got in front of me, plus it kind of unfair letting Starlight and Twilight both in. Of course, they're both love that knucklehead, they’re the same pony! Unbelievable, well I'm going to win this, I just gotta make Spike love me, it will be easy… Once it gets to my turn, that knucklehead better chooses me.”
"Welcome back to more, Reptile Romance, Choose The Ship! Princess Cadence and Shining Armor had talked it over, these episodes will have two dates, first is Spike and Rarity and then Spike and Starlight Glimmer. Now the audience had made names for the ships; first Rarity with Spike is Sparity, second Starlight with Spike is Sparlight, third is Ember with Spike is Spember and last is Twilight and Spike is TwiSpike."
Spike stood wearing a black suit with a white collar button t-shirt with a black bowtie wrapped around his neck. He tucked at the collar, trying to some breathing in. Since his first date was with Rarity, a pony that Spike have been dreaming of since he was just a young little dragon, he found it somewhat hard to believe.
Not only that, but he had three other dates with many beautiful girls after, and he had to pick just one to be his mate for life.
The doors open for Rarity's appearance. Spike's jaw dropped at the site of the mare of so many of his dreams, any dress she makes is breathtaking, the dress she is wearing is pure white with the area that a saddle would be placed is a light shade of pink with dark purple spots. Her mane is in a ponytail, which made her look cute and lovely, she had a large purple bow tie around her neck and dark purple shoes.
“Ready for our date Spikey?” Rarity asked, the dragon just gave a nod.
Rarity:
“Like I said, this contest is in the bag.”
Spike shook his head to the side, trying to find some words that he could say to the glamorous unicorn mare that stood in front of him.
"Wow, Rarity you look amazing," Spike said, causing The Element of Generosity to blush.
"Thank you Spikey, you look rather dashing."
Rarity wanted her date to be in Canterlot, at The Lakeside Palace, one of the best restaurants in Canterlot, it was on Princess Celestia list of favorite restaurants in the large city, causing it to be hard to even get in and most of the time it just stuck up royal nobles, like Blueblood.
Rarity always wanted for her prince to take her here. The stares she got from the other ponies in the restaurant, staring at her, since her date was a dragon. The pair sat down by the large window that showed the lake where the restaurant sat. The history of this place is shown on the walls with paintings, showing ponies building a few castles around Equestria, with two being in Canterlot for the two sisters.
Celestia wanted to have her castle able to see over all of Canterlot and most of Equestria, with it being built over mountains and this being forgotten until Princess Luna returned and lost the Nightmare Moon inside of her. The Princess of The Night decided to turn this in a restaurant.
"Are you okay Rarity?" Spike asked the unicorn looked up from the menu.
"Yes, darling. It just feels strange. I always wanted to come here, but with all these ponies staring..." Rarity spoke, Spike gave her a smile.
"Ignore them. This is your date, nothing else matters, then you having a good time with me." Spike said Rarity gave a light smile.
The waiter came around, giving the meals that the two ordered with their drinks, Spike sat up straight, beads of nervous sweat rolled down his face, while Rarity ate her dinner in silence, and Spike slowly chews on his dinner.
Spike:
"Shoot, what the heck do I say, I been wanting a date with Rarity since I first saw her, but now that I got that date, I have no idea what to do. Maybe I did just have a stupid childhood crush on her, this is so awkward! I always heard that first dates are the hardest, but this feels like a living nightmare!"
"Spike, darling, are you alright?" Rarity asked, causing the male dragon to start coughing into his right claw.
"Not, really. It just this is not what I picture our first date being like. How am I supposed to act?" He asked, Rarity giggle in her hoof.
"Like yourself, now tell me Spikey, why the four of us for this game show?" Rarity asked Spike tapped his chin.
"I didn't have a say in the matter, all Cadence asked me on the four girls I love the most and well it was Starlight, Twilight, Ember and you," Spike explained.
The two fell silent once again, Spike eyes drifted from his date and looked around the room, every pony using the forks and knives, while the male dragon was using his fingers. He turned his attention back towards Rarity, the unicorn mare looked just as bored as he is.
He grew a smirk, an idea forming inside of his head. Spike grabbed Rarity’s hoof throwing a few gems on the table, the two of them left The Lakeside Palace. Spike sat down on the beach, the sand getting over his suit, while he watched the moon reflect off the ocean.
“Sorry Rares, I know that place means a lot to you, but…” Spike began, Rarity let out an giggle.
“It was terrible, no need to beat around the bush. Even if this date was rather bummy at first, this is a beautiful site.” Rarity said, the moonlight shining on her.
“Just like you.” Spike said
Rarity lean in to give him a kiss on his lips, she parted away from him, soon sitting next to him, feeling the sand through her dress. Spike wrapped his wing around her, as the two watched the fireworks that soon began.
“*Yawn* What? Oh shoot, we’re on? Umm… Welcome back, yawn to more Reptile Romance, blah, blah, blah, blah. You know the rest, it now time for Spike’s date with Star -yawn- light Glimmer. While I get more sleep, last night was a pain!”
Inside The Castle of Friendship library, in the middle of a cloudy day, where a bunch of food was placed onto a glass coffee table, Starlight Glimmer choose the simple get together with Spike, not wanting to be like Rarity or any of the girls that were after her.
"OH, come on! Come back, come back! I'll throw this bomb out the window, just please come back!" Spike cried out.
Starlight Glimmer:
"Dragon Pit, is not only my favorite game since I was a filly but with some ponies, or in Spike case, Dragons can get really into it."
“It fine Spike, no need to get upset.” Starlight said, before taking a bite from her cookie.
Spike let out a groan of annoyance, he was enjoying the game, but the game itself seem to be out to get him, plus there was the fact that this was his first time playing the game, while Starlight has been playing Dragon Pit for most of her life.
"Why do you like this game so much?" Spike asked, watching while his dragon was about to get trapped once again.
"Well, it somewhat embarrassing, you see, I always wanted to know about dragons, but well they don't like ponies too much. Since I meet you, well you may not know too much about your dragon side, but I think that you are perfect the way you are." Starlight spoke
"Well, I think you are pretty spectacular as well. No matter what happened in the past, all that matters is you." Spike said Starlight moved her head away from the male dragon, the blush on her cheeks were bright red.
"Starlight, may I ask you a question?" He spoke, causing the reformed unicorn villain to look at the male dragon.
"Why do you like me? I thought that you and Sunburst would be a couple." Spike asked Starlight let out a giggle in her hoof.
"For your first question, it's because you are one of the nicest guys I have ever met, most of the stallions that try and date me are a bunch of jerks, you care for me, and well you can somehow sleep through my snoring."
"Yeah, I'm a heavy sleeper, Twi says that not even an Ursa Minor wouldn't wake me up," Spike said, before letting out a chuckle.
"Second, Sunburst and I did try dating once or twice. There was nothing there, he did find this nice mare in The Crystal Empire, and there's the fact that we are going to in-laws soon since my dad and his mom are going to get married next month." Starlight explained.
"That great news, Starlight! If you win or lose, can I still come along?" Spike asked.
"That would be wonderful."
Spike:
"Is it bad that I want Starlight to win? We have been just playing and talking, she just so easy to talk to. I don't feel pressured to be the perfect date like what happened with Rarity. I wonder what Ember or Twilight dates would feel like, it is too early in the show to see who should win straight away."
Too soon the time was up for the date with Starlight, the reform unicorn villain gave Spike a kiss on his lips, he held the mare close to him, once the kiss was over, Starlight couldn't stop smiling.
"Well folks, that it for Episode one of Reptile Romance, Choose The Ship! I had my coffee, and the episode is almost over, next time is Spike date with Ember then Twilight, who will win is all up to you. “Good morning, ladies and gentle colts, welcome back to more Reptile Romance; Choose The Ship! Last time was Spike date with Rarity and then Starlight Glimmer. This time, it is Ember’s and then Princess Twilight turn.” The Announcer said
The Dragon Lands, one of the few places that Spike rarely visits, if he wasn’t friends with the Dragon Lord, Spike doubt that he would’ve ever returned back to this place. He never felt like he belongs, all the dragons saw him, smelt the pony around him.
The male dragon just kept walking, having to meet his first date for today up in her throne room, he tripped and fell on the hard rocky ground, hearing a familiar laugh and seeing the main reason why Spike stopped wanting to be a true dragon.
Garble. He had his arms folded, while his buddies were standing next to him. He had his head leaning back, his annoying laugh echo through Spike’s ears.
“Well, well, well. Pony Boy is back, where's your basket of flowers and dress?” Garble asked before laughing again
Spike stood back up, dusting the dirt off his body, he gave Garble a cold stare but held back his fist.
“Look Garble, I would love to stay and talk, but I got a date with The Dragon Lord today. Who knows, I might be King someday.” Spike said Garble’s jaw dropped in surprise.
Spike:
“The look on his face! (Ha, ha, ha) priceless, I don’t know if I should pick Ember or not, seeing that if I do, I’ll have to move away from Ponyville. There’s the fact that Twi’ wouldn’t last a day without me, her cooking is worse than Sweetie Belle's! There’s also the fact that, I don’t belong here, with the other dragons. I belong with my friends in Ponyville.”
Spike opens the doors to the throne room, two large male dragons stood by, watching Spike like a hawk. The purple and green male dragon just gave a small grin and walked passed, he saw the beauty of the blue scale dragoness sitting on her stone throne. Her feet on the armrest while her head leans on the other side.
“Hey, Ember!” Spike cried out, waving his arm
She gave him a friendly smile, getting off her throne and stretching out her body.
“That throne is uncomfortable, I have no idea how my dad sat on that thing for years,” Ember stated, Spike, let out a chuckle.
“It’s still great to see you again,” Spike said, pulling the dragoness into a hug.
Ember felt his warm embrace, a bright red blush on her cheeks. She gave Spike a hard push, giving the male dragon a hard punch on his right arm.
“So, the plan for our date?” He asked
“First thing, dragons normal don’t ‘date’ each other. Second thing, I readied about these dates that ponies have, I do like the idea of how the guy has to pay for everything.” Ember said, giving him a grin.
Spike rolled his eyes, “What are we doing?”
“Only like the greatest thing ever! The best sport in Equestria; Lava Battle Ball!” Ember said, putting her right foot on the table with a glimmer of excitement in her eyes.
Spike rather not question about the sport he no idea about, until later, for right now, he couldn't help but smile at how cute Ember was acting, she soon noticed Spike smile. She let out a cry of anger before giving Spike a hard punch to his stomach.
"You didn't see anything, got that!" Ember said, her finger poking at his chest.
"Of course, my Lord," Spike said, giving a small bow.
When Ember felt Spike grabbed her claw, her cheeks gave a red blush, the two dragons, held each other's hands while they walked towards the stadium. Spike looked around the stadium, seeing almost every dragon in the Dragon Lands here. The royal box for only The Dragon Lord and his or her's mate.
Ember:
"Lava Battle Ball is the only sport that dragons have. So, I thought that if they were something else in The Dragon Lands that Spike likes... Besides me, then he'll pick me over then those other girls. I have never met a dragon, that has hated Lava Battle Ball, but Spike is more pony than a dragon, maybe that why I like him because he's not like all the others dumbells that live here."
Spike had to get Ember a box of small crushed gems, Spike just guessed that it was like the popcorn in Ponyville, Spike noticed that the ground was made out of lava, with dragons entering from the right, the team filled with only male dragons were wearing a plate of gold armor over their arms, with helmets. While the team from the left was filled with only female dragons, wearing silver plates all the way up their legs and a silver chest plate.
"The Gruesome Chargers is the all-boy team, they normally lose most of the matches since male dragons don't trust each other and fight to see which one is in charge. While The Storm Mavericks is the all-girl team, being just the better team since girls don't really fight over things unless it a mate." Ember explain.
"So, how does this game work?" Spike asked
"Right, I always forget that you didn't grow up with dragon culture. The two teams fight for the Lava Ball, there is one dragon at each end if the ball gets past that dragon then that team gets a point. There are seven members for each team, three members of each team have a bat, making power shots, while the other three have to use force against the others. The three that doesn't have the bat starts with the ball, making it so that they can either pass it to the batter or try and score themselves."
"When you score with a bat, it worth two points, while without a bat, it is worth five points. Since it harder to score." Ember finished explaining to Spike.
"I always wanted to be apart of The Storm Mavericks, but since I was the daughter to the Dragon Lord, the others thought it would be unfair since the Dragon Lord is the judge of the sport. Now that I'm the Dragon Lord, all I can do is watch others enjoy what I never could do.”
Spike pulled her close, Ember was about to say something to the male dragon, but the game started up, she just leans her head onto her date shoulder, enjoying the snack that Spike got for her. Since she was the judge and Dragon Lord, she got whatever she wanted for free, but she wasn't going to tell Spike that.
Spike found the sport, strange at first, later Ember did break away from him, to start screaming in rage, at how her favorite team was losing, Spike found the whole thing far too cute, that he wouldn't dare say out loud for his safety. Spike held her arm, Ember was pouting while the pair left the stadium.
Spike:
“That was fun… It seems like something that Rainbow or Scootaloo would enjoy more than me. I don’t hate the sport, but since I grew up around Twilight, I’m a bit of a bookworm, not as much as her. I still enjoyed my date with Ember, maybe I should start visiting The Dragon Lands more, Thorax wants me to visit the Changeling Empire from time to time.”
"How did The Storm Mavericks lose! That the worse thing I have ever done, saying the words 'The Gruesome Chargers are the winners' was just painful." Ember spoke
"It was just good luck, next time The Storm Mavericks will kick The Gruesome Chargers flanks or butts," Spike said, Ember let out a giggle.
"You're cute. Thanks for taking me, Spike." Ember said
Ember gave him a kiss, Spike held her close, all the male dragons around was flaring with jealousy at how lucky Spike got with the Dragon Lord.
“So, how much am I getting paid for this? Look, this is just an outcry, it clear on who the winner will be… Ah, oh hello ladies and gentle colts, welcome back to the show. Later! So, what was that number again?...”
His date took Spike towards Canterlot. He was just glad that this whole thing is almost over, the Canterlot Museum was the stop for today, since it was having a special day about Starswirl The Bearded and the other Pillars of Equestria, to have young and old ponies learn about them since they had just returned.
Twilight Sparkle stood outside the museum, waving at Spike once she saw him. She rushed him and tackled the male dragon in a tight hug.
“This will be great Spike! Plus I heard that they giving away a limited edition Starswirl book!” Twilight said, her eyes were wide with joy.
Twilight Sparkle:
“You don’t understand how long I been waiting for this! I still can’t believe it finally here, I feel like a filly getting her Cutie Mark, but only fifty percent more excited! I just hope Spike doesn’t find my date idea boring, I have no idea how well his other dates went, I need to hope I woo or wow him enough so he’ll pick me.”
Twilight began to drag Spike into the Canterlot Museum, the place was carved and made out of marble, many fillies and colts rushed past Spike and Twilight. The large windows on the walls shine the bright sunlight in, with the paintings of what had happened in pony history.
The painting was of old Alicorns in the past that had passed away either due to sickness or old age. Spike only could give it a second glance before feeling his arm being tucked by Twilight’s magic towards the entrance of the Pillars of Equestria part of the museum.
Spike picked up some pink cotton candy for Twilight, the Princess of Friendship gave her date a kind smile. Spike watched her rush from one place to another.
“Shouldn’t we slow down?” Spike asked, trying to catch up to the Alicorn.
“I’m sorry Spike, but all this knowledge!” Twilight cried out, trotting in place.
“It all too wonderful, the site, the sound, the history. It all just feels like a dream come true.” Twilight stated
“I get it Twi, but wouldn’t be better if you stopped and take everything in. This is only going be here for a few days."
“Oops, sorry Spike.”
Twilight Sparkle:
“I just feel so nervous Spike, he normally so easy to talk to. I guess it just because it's now a date.”
It was around lunchtime when the two decided to take a small break at the food court, Twilight held a daisy sandwich in her magic, happily munching on the light meal. While Spike just ate fries with a drink of water.
"How are you enjoying the date so far?" Spike asked
"To be honest, I'm loving it, but I'm still terrified. I normally don't go on dates and well it a little easier to think of this as not a date, but I rather not think of that." Twilight said, Spike, rubbed his chin in thought.
"Wait, are you afraid if you don't win, you'll become a crazy cat pony?" Spike asked, raising his eyebrow, causing Twilight to let out a nervous laugh.
"Don't be ridiculous, I would never think that..." Twilight said, with a grin on her face.
Twilight Sparkle:
"How did he find out?!"
Spike put his claw onto her shoulder, he gave her a kind smile. Twilight pulled him into a tight hug.
"Spike, promise me. Even if you pick Ember and move to The Dragon Lands and become The King of The Dragons, promise that you'll always visit me. That you never forget me and leave Ponyville behind." Twilight said, crying on his shoulder.
Spike rubbed her back, holding her tight, letting The Princess of Friendship hold onto her oldest friend.
"I promise. Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." Spike said Twilight gave him a small smile before he pulled the Alicorn princess into a small kiss.
The two held each other close, while they share the kiss and the promise that Spike would forever keep within his heart.
"Well folks, that is the end of Episode Two of Reptile Romance; Choose The Ship, in the next episode Princess Cadence, has a little surprise for the contestants so stay tuned for more. Remember it all up to you to see who will win and happy shipping ladies and gentle colts."
“Welcome ladies and gentle colts to the finale of Reptile Romance; Choose The Ship! Last time was the date that Spike had with both Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer then Rarity and Ember, but enough said on with the show.”
Within The Castle of Friendship, Spike stood on his stand, looking at the four girls, Princess Cadence alongside Shining Armor looked at the male dragon.
“So, Spike which one will it be; Twilight Sparkle, Starlight Glimmer, Ember or Rarity?” The Princess of Love asked
Spike bites his bottom lip, looking at the four girls, remembering the times he had which each of them, Spike held a single rose within his claw with a silver necklace to give to his mate.
“I choose….”
Twilight was heavily breathing, while Starlight was biting her bottom lip. Ember had her arms folded and Rarity was smiling.
“Ember.”
The Dragon Lord looked towards him with a confused expression. Spike took her claw, looking into her beautiful eyes.
“Will you be my mate for life?” He asked Ember tackled him in a hug, pressing her lips against his.
Twilight Sparkle:
“Huh, Ember. Well, you better treat Spike right or else… And Spike I hope you are happy with her and I know you’ll be a great King to the other dragons. Now thinking about it, you and Ember both belong with each other. She can teach you to be more dragon while you can teach her to be a pony, it will bridge our two cultures together.’
Rarity:
“I had my chance with Spike. He could’ve been my mate a long time ago, but he was just too young when he fell in love with me. Ponies think I treat him like some sort of slave, but I never wanted to use him as a pin cushion, but he just wanted to help me. He was really hard to say no to, have you seen his face when he was a baby. That was cute, well Spike I guess you found your own princess to be with, I’ll find my prince someday, but until then I’ll just have to live with not having you.”
Starlight Glimmer:
“Ember? I guess that means Spike’s going to be leaving Ponyville to live with Ember and become king of the dragons. I’ll better keep Twilight some company, I think she might need it. It does hurt that I lost, but Spike did say I was his second pick. We will always be friends Spike, but we can never be more and I guess I’ll keep searching for my special some pony. I’m a bit tired of boys, I think I might give girls a try for a while.”
Ember:
“Yes! I won! I just can’t believe it, Spike is my mate for life! I started to grow feelings for him after he and I became friends, it soon grew into love. After being around other dragons that are just meatheads, Spike is kind, loyal, generous, he makes me laugh, a little too honest. But I love him and now I get to be with him, I feel more than happy, I’m overjoyed about winning this. I want to treat Spike right, he deserves the best mate and I want to be that mate.”
Spike:
“It was hard choosing just one girl, by only using one date to go by, but I think Ember was the best choice. I’m going to miss Ponyville and it's going to feel weird loving in The Dragon Lands, but I do love Ember. I think the order went Ember, Starlight Glimmer, Twilight Sparkle, and finally Rarity. I do love all of them, but Rarity had her chance and never return my feelings, Twilight and I are better remaining friends rather than lovers. Starlight was hard not to pick, she and I strangely have a lot in common and talking to her is so easy, but I think I made the right choice with Ember.”
“Well folks, Spike has chosen his mate for life; Dragon Lord Ember. This is the end of Reptile Romance; Choose The Ship! This is The Announcer signing off, until next time, remember have a wonderful day or night and keep on shipping!”
Two months later…
Within The Dragon Lands, Spike held his mate, Ember within his arms giving her a loving kiss on her lips. The Throne room was much different than before, within the sleeping chamber was pictures of Spike friends in Ponyville, Spike even bought pillows to make the hard stones a little more comfortable.
Spike burped out a letter, from Twilight, the two friends write to each other every week, so it would feel like Spike never left his home.
Dear Spike:
I got some wonderful news, I found some pony to be with, it a really funny story, you’ll laugh. But I’m currently dating Starlight, she and I have been together a lot after Reptile Romance ended and well she took me to her father’s wedding and asked me to be her girlfriend!
Rarity started seeing a male Changeling, she says that they only friends, but we all know that she likes him. I hope you and Ember are happy together. I hope to see you next month.
From Twilight Sparkle
Spike pulled his mate closer with his wing, Ember fell on his lap.
“I glad that I picked you,” Spike said giving his mate a kiss.
Hello everyone, with Reptile Romance; Choose The Ship finally over and no sequel to ever be made by me. I thought it would be fun to write down what would have happened if Starlight, Twilight or Rarity won the game show. This chapter will only be the endings, short with no booth talks whatsoever, if they actually won, then the endings would be a bit longer, or won't feel rushed.
Remember if you want a sequel to this story, it might be best to either write it yourself or get someone to do it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the endings:
Starlight Glimmer’s Ending:
Sire's Hollow, it was late in the morning, the autumn leaves blew in the cold wind that rushed through the quiet town, stream filled the air, with the train finally arriving in the small town.
Spike alongside his mate; Starlight Glimmer walked in the town, the reform unicorn villain wearing a blue and green striped scarf.
“Sugar Plum!” A male called out, Starlight’s cheeks burn with embarrassment.
Spike raised his eyebrow towards Starlight holding in his laughter. Soon the stallion came into view, giving Starlight a tight hug.
“Pumpky-Wumpkin,” Firelight said Starlight’s whole face was bright red
“Dad! No pumpky-wumpkin in front of Spike!” Starlight cried out
“It’s great to meet you, sir. I’m Spike, Starlight’s boyfriend.” Spike said holding out his claw.
“Well it’s great to meet you, take care chipmunk cheeks,” Firelight said, pitching his daughter's cheeks before walking away.
Starlight glared at Spike, he let out a stifled laughter causing the unicorn to fall on the park bench.
“Don’t worry, at least we’ll be together, Pumpky-Wumpkin” Spike said, Starlight evil cold stare burn as she turns to look at Spike.
“If you ever call me that again, I’m blasting you to next week.”
Spike moved away from the enraged unicorn, he soon burped out a letter, Starlight looked over his shoulder to see who it’s from.
Dear Spike
I hope you and Starlight safety arrived in Sire's Hollow, as Ember spoken to you after the whole Reptile Romance show? I heard from King Thorax that he and Ember are currently dating or are mates for life, dragon culture is a bit confusing.
Rarity started seeing a stallion called Thunderlane, a bit rude. I don’t see that working out well, and as for me. You are never going to believe this, but remember Sunset Shimmer from the other world?
She visits me a couple weeks ago, wanting to get away from the others and we quickly fell in love, she moves back to Equestria later this week. I hope you get to see her again.

“It seems that Twilight is happy.” Starlight said Spike pull his mate close to his body by his wing.
‘And as long as I have you. I’ll be the happiest dragon in Equestria.” Spike said, with him and Starlight sharing a kiss.
Twilight Sparkle’s Ending:
Within The Castle of Friendship, Spike was in the kitchen cooking dinner, Twilight walked up behind him, using her wings, so The Princess of Friendship could wrap her wings around her new boyfriend and give him a kiss.
“I glad you pick me, Spike,” Twilight said, moaning in the kiss she shared with her dragon lover.
“Well, you are my favorite pony,” Spike said, setting the table up.
“Did you hear about Starlight and Trixie?” He asked
“Yeah, those two got together early this summer. Trixie wasn’t hiding her feelings at all went she was around Starlight.” Twilight said
The alicorn took a bite from her potato with a salad on the side.
“I meet up with Ember just last week. She and Rarity started dating” Spike said, Twilight let out a gasp.
“I guess that Rarity wasn’t looking a prince, but a princess,” Twilight stated before taking another bite.
“The two seem happy,” Spike said
“But I have you and nothing else matters, but that wonderful smile,” Spike said
Twilight tackled her dragon lover into another kiss, together and happy for the rest of their days.
Rarity’s Ending:
Canterlot; Hearth’s Warming Eve: the winter snow cover the ground, within a two-story house in a quiet street. Spike open the wooden door, brushing the snow that covered his jacket.
“Darling, must you cover the ground with snow?” Rarity angelic voice rang from the kitchen.
Spike felt the warm fire filling the room, as he took off his coat.
“Sorry my love, but once you see my present for you, I’m sure you’ll forgive me,” Spike said
Rarity enters the room, hanging the lights up, once she turns towards her dragon lover. Rarity let out a small gasp, seeing Spike on one knee as he held a diamond horn ring.
“Rarity, will you-" Spike started
“Yes!” Rarity cried out, tackled Spike to the ground.
The ring lay on the ground, while the two lovers share the kiss, Spike held the mare of his dreams in his arms, never wanting to let her go.
Harem Ending/Secret Ending:
“Tell me Spike, who do you pick? The childhood friend, long-standing crush, the Dragon Lord, or reform villain?” Princess Cadence asked
“That’s right folks. It’s the end of the end! Reptile Romance; Choose The Ship is almost over, I have tears in my eyes, no one is going to hire me after this!”
Spike’s hands were shaking, sweat rolled down his forehead, while eyes went from one girl to the next.
“I can’t choose!” Spike cried out
Everyone around let out a gasp in surprise, while Spike fell on the seat behind him.
“It just too much, all you girls are wonderful and I rather not break anyone hearts,” Spike said, Cadence rubbed her chin
“Spike, do you want to use the final choice?” The Princess of Love asked Spike blinked
“Sure?” Spike said, not sure on what to say.
“I don’t believe it folks, but Spike just chooses the Harem Choice. Meaning that he doesn’t give one mate for life, but four! Ponies might know that a harem can only be made if four mares are all in love with one stallion. The only way more girls could be added if there was another stallion that they all loved.”
“If you girls want to. Do you want to make a harem with me?” Spike asked
“I love each of you girls and I understand if you wouldn’t want to share me.”
“Are you kidding? Of course, I’ll love to be with you, a harem or no harem.” Starlight spoke
“I’m with Starlight, I lost my chance with you a long time ago. But at less, you’ll have not only me but three other ladies that love and care for you.” Rarity said, giving Spike a kiss on the cheek.
“Technical speaking, a harem or a herd might not even work! There are all the different personalities and the fact that there are only one man and four girls. It just seems like a trainwreck waiting to happen, but I love Spike and if a harem is the only way I can and every pony else can with him, I’ll get on that train too.” Twilight said
Everyone turn to Ember, the female dragon lord had her arms folded underneath her chest, she gave the group a cold stare.
“You all know I have a kingdom to run? I can’t stay in Ponyville or visit it too often, I control every dragon in Equestria, I just can’t join a harem with Spike, no matter how much I love him.” Ember said, her gaze fell toward the ground
Spike rubbed his chin in thought.
“Then, we can figure out a way to be together. The trains can go from Ponyville to The Crystal Empire in a matter of minutes.” Spike stated
“Starlight Glimmer and I could work on a spell that connects my castle to your home. No matter where you live, so Spike, us, or you and travel between and visit anytime.” Twilight explained
“Fine! I’ll be in your little harem." Ember spoke
"Watch out for Hearts and Hooves day Spike." Cadence whisper in his ear, while he was surrounded by his new mates.
"Well, Folks. That's it, every ending of Reptile Romance. That and I'm getting fired! Me, fired! Well, good night ladies and gentle colts and keep on shipping!" The Announcer said
