War of the Three Races

Celestia was not particularly comfortable with the situation at hand. She was just about to tell a story that she would rather not have existed in the first place. It was her responsibility to lead the pony race when her time had come; her teacher Starswirl had told her and her sister that herself. Unfortunately, when her time actually did come, it was already too late. Her world was nothing more than a barren wasteland with her people gone from the world.

Where her sister was, she didn't even know anymore; the two had lost connection with each other a long time ago. She just hoped she would be alright wherever she was. For now, she simply waited for the company she would soon for her company as she looked over the city around her. It was all shiny with chrome and lighted up with vehicles and lights far more advanced than the civilization of her time. In fact, everything from this race more more advanced than everything her original society had to offer.

From simply heating things up to more advanced things like weaponry and teleportation, their technology could do just as well. She, however, would stick to how she was raised and use magic for her needs. This did get the attention of the creatures that simply called themselves "the Metallic." They proposed to her an offer of creating a school of her own (mostly due to her expansive knowledge of the world of her past that they wanted to know) in exchange for researching her personally. She felt like this was acceptable since doing so would preserve her kind, so she agreed. That eventually led to the situation at hand: they were coming right now to work with her to create a documentary about the ancestors of the world they were currently ruling over.

Eventually, she heard knocks on the door of her hotel room. "Come in," she said, waiting patiently for her guest.

The person behind her door opened it once given permission. The man lived up to the name of his race; he was indeed a being with skin as shiny and reflective as stainless steel. It had long appendages similar to a gorillas only much skinnier, similar protrusions on its lower body but with flatter parts at the end of them called feet, a flatter face with smaller ears than hers, and a body also similar to gorillas but (just like the arms) skinnier. "It's a pleasure to meet you, madam," he said politely, tipping his hat.

The alicorn smiled gently and nodded before saying, "likewise."

The man looked around her shiny room, taking in her room. "I hope you're enjoying your suite," he said, walking toward her small fridge and looking through it.

"It's a nice room," she said simply, watching him looking through the fridge as she waited patiently in her chair.

Soon enough, he took out a small can before placing it on top of the fridge and look toward her. "Would you like anything?" he asked.

She shook her head, the man responding by shrugging her shoulders and walking to his bags and taking out his equipment. Computers, cameras, history books she had written, everything he would need before digging into his subject. As he began setting everything up, she let out a small sigh as she shifted on her chair to get herself comfortable. This would be tough, to say the least.

He must've noticed that from her sigh as he asked her if she was going to be okay talking about it. She confirmed she was, indeed, ready; they were already here, they might as well get it underway now that they were here. It took a few minutes for him to turn on the camera, the little machine buzzing to life as it levitated over them. It took him a few minutes longer for the computers, the video feed featuring all the partners they had to the documentary. The books were simpler than everything else as he simply laid them all on the bed to grab whenever their ready.

He took out some wires and connected them to the computers so the video feed could change from them to the computers and therefore display the others on the camera during their recording. Finally, he took out a controller and extended it toward the alicorn. Celestia took the hint, hovering the controller over her ready to use it whenever needed. She took a deep breath before exhaling the air; here they go. He took another out of his pocket. "Is everybody ready?" he asked, everyone affirming that they were ready.

"Good, now let's begin-" he looked toward the camera before saying "-record."

The camera did just that, the blue glow of its standard form shifted into a red hue indicating it was recording.

He cleared his throat as he walked toward the window, the camera following him to the window. He extended his hand to the landscape to the side of them before saying, "This, as I'm sure you're all aware, is our beautiful home of Chrome."

Walking away from the camera, he continued with, "It began from a wasteland of complete nothingness. For many generations, that's all we believed it to be; a completely desolate world until we came to the scene. However-" cued Celestia to direct the camera to her, the alicorn pressing the button to change the camera to her as she finished his sentence "-that was not all there was to the planet. In fact, before the landscape had changed to our modern day home, it was a land bustling with life."

She began creating little images with her magic, creating the three races of Pegasi, Earth Ponies, and Unicorns of ponies before saying, "Among the few ponies like myself, there were three races of ponies as well." She began creating different species as well before saying, "In fact, there were many different kinds of races that made the world diverse as well as full of life."

She then began to a small snow cloud, the images shivering as she said, "However, a snowstorm the likes that have never been seen before nor since had began to claim them all."

As the races dissipated, the three images of ponies began to turn around and face each other. "While the others tried to do whatever it took to survive, the three ponies began to fight among themselves blaming each other for the worsening weather."

The images shifted, weapons and armor forming on them all while Pegasi began to take flight, the Earth Ponies got into a battle position, and the horns of the unicorns began to glow. "As the weather worsened, hostility would lead to a world that would be the last thing the beings of my time would ever see."

The man pressed the button on his controller, changing the camera toward him. "That's what we're here to shed light on today. This is the story of the races that ruled the world before our own. This is the stories of their last days on Earth. This-" the camera shifted to a camera with the intro of their documentary, a orange dirt background with with fiery letters spelling out what he was about to say "-is The war of the Three Races."

Thus, their story had begun. The story of Celestia's ponies had begun.
