Prologue: The Mansion

It was 6:30 P.M. almost time for the nightmare night festival, the one thing that Twilight and Starlight was actually looking forward to this year. But now that their friends were kidnapped by an unknown individual, the only thing that they were doing is saving them. They continued to walk through the dark dense Everfree forest as Spike pulled out the letter they received.

"It had to be tonight," Starlight whimpered.

"I don't like this as much as you, but we can't leave them be, they're our friends," said Twilight.

"Yeah, but this is seriously creepy," said Starlight.

"And you HAD to bring me along?" asked Spike.

"Look I know how much you wanted candy, but our friends are more precious than any candy that they give out," said Twilight.

"Yeah I suppose so, if Rarity is in trouble then, I guess I have no choice," said Spike. The three eventually came out to a large opening in the middle of the forest where an old worn down mansion stood.

"Whoa," said Starlight looking at the mansion.

"This is right Spike?" asked Twilight.

"Yep," answered Spike looking at the letter.

"Ok, I know that our friends are precious, but I don't want to go in there," whimpered Starlight backing away.

"Well we have to do it," said Twilight summoning up her courage.

"Well if it isn't my pal Twilight," chuckled a voice. Twilight, Starlight, and Spike looked behind them to find a creature with mismatched animal parts sitting on the branch of a tree knitting.

"Discord?" asked Twilight. "What are you doing here?"

"I would like to ask the same, I thought you were celebrating Nightmare night with your friends, so I decided to come here to relax," answered Discord.

"We would be doing that if they hadn't been kidnapped," said Starlight. Discord's ears dropped as he jumped off the tree.

"Fluttershy....kidnapped...by who?" hissed Discord.

"Apparently, the one responsible is hiding somewhere in there, I think," answered Twilight pointing towards the mansion.

"Well what are we waiting for, let's go," said Discord picking up the three.

"Wait what?" asked Spike. But before any of them could oppose they soon found themselves on the mansion's front porch. The four looked up at the creepy looking door as it seems to stare back at them.

"Well?" stuttered Starlight looking at Twilight. Twilight swallowed hard as she stepped forward and turned the knob. Slowly opening the door as it creaked, a small breeze flowed out. The four looked in and followed Twilight as she slowly entered the mansion.

"This isn't any better," whimpered Starlight. Suddenly the door behind them slammed shut making the four jump.

"Uh oh," said Spike. Twilight walked up to the door and pulled on the knob to find that it wouldn't move.

"Uh I think we're locked in," said Twilight.

"WHAT!?" yelped Starlight. Just as she screamed, a loud bang from the nearby dresser grabbed their attention.

"What was that?" asked Spike. The four slowly turned towards the dresser as it suddenly began to vibrate.

"Th-there's something in there isn't it?" stuttered Starlight. Twilight swallowed hard as she slowly walked over and placed her hooves over the knob. Heart pounding, she opened the dresser as something fell out and onto the ground with a bang, causing Starlight and Spike to run behind Discord trembling.

"What is it?" Starlight asked nervously. Twilight looked over to find a single human gagged and tied up on the ground.

"What?" asked Twilight. Starlight and Spike poked their head out from behind Discord. The human let out a muffled scream as he thrashed around.

"Oh, a human," cheered Discord.

"Oh geez," said Starlight. "Spike cut the ropes,"

"Um, ok," said Spike following Starlight. The two walked over to the human as Twilight stepped aside. Starlight pulled the cloth of his mouth with her mouth while Spike cut the ropes around his arms and legs with his claws. The human gasped as he looked up at Starlight.

"Thank you," he said.

"No...no problem," said Starlight.

"No really, ever since Genesis locked me in there, I couldn't stop thinking about how long it would be until someone came and helped me," said the human.

"Who?" asked Twilight.

"I suppose you four don't know about him," said the human.

"Wait first of all who are you?" asked Spike.

The human got to his feet and pulled something out of his pants pocket and held it up,"Dallas Lloyd, Private Investigator," said the human.

"I'm Twilight Sparkle, and these are my friends Starlight Glimmer, Spike the dragon, and Discord," said Twilight introducing themselves.

"Hey Dallas, didn't you say that someone locked you in there?" asked Spike.

"Yeah, but before we get into I guess I should explain my situation," said Dallas. The four looked at each other then back at Dallas to see what he had to say. "So it all started when my boss, told me about a suspicious mansion that suddenly appeared near my neighborhood," began Dallas. "I was asked if I knew anything about this mansion and when I told him I didn't, he explained that it was spooking some of the neighbors so he asked me to check it out in case some homeless guy was living in here," "So I did what asked of me and when I entered the mansion, something seemed off, I felt this dark presence hanging around the entire building and it gave me the chills so I tried to escape, but by then I was already locked in,"

"Well now that you mention, it does give off a feeling of uncertainty," said Twilight.

"I tried contacting my chief, but it turns out that anyone who enters this mansion is completely cut off from the rest of the world," explained Dallas.

"Wait so nobody is going to come save us?" Spike asked nervously.

"I assume so, I tried to find every exit but every time I try, I always end up back here," answered Dallas. "But anyways, so knowing that help wasn't going to come, I decided to look around for a bit, I eventually managed to find the library on the fifth floor and decided to do some investigation,"

"Wait they have a library here!?" gasped Twilight.

"Um, yes," Dallas answered."But back to the point, I was looking through some of the books and I managed to learn some interesting things about this mansion and the owner of it," Dallas continued.

"Hmm sounds interesting, go on," said Discord.

"You seem awfully calm considering that what I'm about to tell may scare you," said Dallas.

"Hey, I'm the spirit of chaos what do you expect?" laughed Discord.

"Well anyways is this something we need to know in order to find our way around here?" asked Starlight.

"Yes," answered Dallas.

"We're ready," said Twilight.

"Alright so first things first, this mansion isn't what it seems," said Dallas. "Most people can't even see it,"

"Wait so it's invisible?" asked Spike.

"Not exactly," answered Dallas. "I didn't really think about until I read it in an article, but this mansion used to belong to someone before it was burned down, now it's said that this mansion only appears in front of only certain people,"

"So it's a phantom?" asked Starlight.

"In a way yes, however it wasn't just any fire, it was the work of an arsonist or in this case someone who sets fires to pieces of property," answered Dallas. "It's also apparent that the arsonist burned the owner alive when he set the fire to this mansion,"

"How terrible," said Starlight.

"Indeed, this mansion truly has a dark history, but it doesn't end there, during my investigation, I've found that the current owner of this phantom mansion goes by the name of Genesis Clay, the spirit of a treacherous man who has committed many crimes during his life," said Dallas. "It is said that Genesis was the arsonist that burned down this mansion along with other sinful acts such as cheating, lying, stealing, and even worse killing others just for his own satisfaction,"

"Sounds like chaos," snickered Discord. Twilight shot a glare at him obviously not amused with his joke.

"However, the arson was the last crime he ever committed, the police managed to catch him and because of all the terrible things he's done, he was declared guilty and sentenced to death by the electric chair," said Dallas.

"Well he's gone at least so that's good right?" asked Spike.

"Actually that's where things get a lot worse," answered Dallas. Starlight, Twilight, and Spike looked at each other with worried looks while Discord smirked. "According to legends, his spirit was denied entrance into the afterlife because of that evil he possessed, his soul was now forced to wander in the very mansion he burned down, living the rest of his life tormented by the vengeful spirits of his victims and his guilt,"

"Serves him right," said Spike.

"He of course begged for forgiveness and tried to escape but he was denied passage into the afterlife and would remain here to suffer," said Dallas. "But Genesis, not wanting to suffer any longer, confronted the devil and asked him to let his soul rest in peace," "The devil agreed but his release came with a condition,"

"Condition?" asked Twilight.

"This mansion currently has 100 floors, if Genesis could find 100 souls from the living that represented every sin in his soul and offer them up as sacrifice, he would let him move on," answered Dallas.

"100!?" gasped Spike.

"He agreed and began his hunt, eventually he did manage to find 100 souls, but now that you four have entered here, he will most likely attempt to stop you," said Dallas.

"We only came here because we want our friends back," said Twilight.

"I see, well there is a way to get them back," said Dallas.

"How!?" Twilight asked.

"After you entered the mansion, it most definitely would've alerted Genesis, it's most likely that he will attempt to use the 100 souls to try and stop you, however if you free the first soul, it will force Genesis to reclaim it," explained Dallas. "However it's risky cause the longer a victim has been controlled be Genesis, the easier it will be for Genesis to reclaim their soul,"

"Then what do we do?" asked Starlight.

"Protect the first soul, the longer the victim stays out of Genesis's control the harder it becomes for Genesis to reclaim that soul, meanwhile you need to continue freeing souls, when that happens Genesis will have to reclaim more souls," answered Dallas. "However that's the key, Genesis can only reclaim one soul at a time, the harder it is for Genesis to reclaim the souls, the longer the process becomes,"

"So basically when we free the first soul we have to protect it while we free all the other souls, and vice versa?" asked Starlight.

"Bingo," said Dallas.

"Sounds hard," said Spike.

"And tedious," said Discord.

"Although it may seem painful, you won't always have to do the work, once a soul could think for themselves again, they have a chance to resist Genesis's control," explained Dallas. "The longer that a victim stays out of his control, the easier it is for them to resist,"

"So wait you want us to free the 100 souls that are trapped in here?" asked Twilight.

"If you want to save you're friends then yes," answered Dallas. The four looked at each other for a while.

"Do we HAVE to do this?" asked Discord.

"We have no choice, what else are we going to do?" asked Twilight.

"Nothing," answered Discord.

"So you want to sit around in this mansion not able to escape?" asked Spike.

"Pretty much," answered Discord.

"You'll never see Fluttershy again," said Starlight.

"I'm in let's go," said Discord quickly jumping up.

"Alright, we'll do it," said Twilight.

"Great," said Dallas.

"But what about you?" asked Starlight.

"What you think I'm just gonna sit around and miss out?" asked Dallas.

"I guess not," said Twilight.

"And besides you'll need someone to guide you," said Dallas.

"I suppose so," said Starlight.

"Alright enough talk, let's go!" said Discord grabbing the four. Twilight, Starlight, and Spike sighed as they followed Dallas to the room on the first floor. This was going to be one crazy Nightmare Night.

Floor 1: Decay

View Online

Twilight, Starlight, Spike, and Discord followed Dallas as they were led through the mansion. It was obvious that the fire wasn't a lie considering that the walls were scorched bad and the wallpaper was completely burned exposing the naked walls.

"Um Dallas, you DO know where you're going right?" asked Starlight.

"Positive," answered Dallas. The five eventually came across two large wooden doors that somehow had managed to survive the fire. "Here we are, past these doors, lies the first soul," Discord looked towards the right of the doors and noticed a large sign with a single word was hanging on the wall.

"Decay?" asked Discord.

"What?" asked Twilight.

"That's what the sign says," said Discord pointing at the sign.

'What is that supposed to mean?" asked Spike.

"Remember Genesis committed a lot of sins in his days, murders were one of them, however each time he killed someone, he would leave their body to decay," answered Dallas.

"And so the first soul is connected to that," said Starlight.

"Exactly," said Dallas.

"Well let's go," said Twilight sighing. She opened the doors with her hoofs and walked into the room with the other four. Looking around it looked like any other normal room.

"Look," said Spike pointing forward. The four looked in the direction he was pointing to see a large golden bear in a slouching position across from where they were. It's head was tilted to the side and the jaw was open revealing white teeth. It held a microphone in it's paw and had a black hat and bow tie on it's head and chest.

"Is that a bear?' asked Starlight.

"I think so," answered Twilight. Just as she said that, the right ear twitched as a purple aura began flowing from it's body and the dark eye sockets flashed red. The bear lifted his head and slowly got to it's feet.

"Uh oh," said Spike.

"Um what is that?" asked Starlight.

"Oh wait, I'm pretty sure I found a booklet in the library that contained the information of all the souls that Genesis captured," said Dallas. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small brown notebook and flipped through. "Aha here we go!" announced Dallas. The four gathered around him. "Let's see Soul 1 Golden Freddy,"

"Golden Freddy?" asked Starlight.

"Golden Freddy, is an animatronic bear that was discovered in an old pizzeria the was forcefully closed after a series of unfortunate events, it was found left in a decaying state and was beyond from repair," read Dallas. Golden Freddy let out a screech as Dallas read the text.

"Um guys I think it's mad," said Spike.

"How do we defeat it?" asked Starlight.

"It doesn't say," said Dallas.

"Oho, have you forgotten that you have a draconequus on your side?" laughed Discord. He confidently stepped forward and snapped his paws with no results.

"Um, nothing happened," said Starlight. Confused, Discord snapped his paws again but with no results.

"Strange I'm pretty sure I still have some chaos in me," said Discord.

"I don't think it's your chaos Discord," said Twilight. She bent down pointing her horn at Golden Freddy with no result. "I can't use my magic,"

"Me neither," said Starlight.

"I still have my fire," said Spike coughing up green flames.

"Why can't we use our magic?" asked Twilight.

"It must be Genesis, he must've known you guys were gonna show up and placed some sort f dark magic to prevent you from using your magic," suggested Dallas.

"What!?" gasped Starlight. The five looked over to see Golden Freddy approaching them, it's red eyes glowing menacingly.

"We just have to do it without our magic," said Twilight.

"How?" asked Starlight. She watched Twilight charge forward and headbutt the animatronic in the stomach knocking it back. Golden Freddy slowly got up and screeched at Twilight angrily.

"Uh oh," said Twilight. Golden Freddy walked up to her and punched her in the stomach before picking her up and throwing her back at the four.

"Twilight are you alright?" gasped Spike.

"You bucket of bolts," growled Dallas pulling out his pistol. he fired the gun at the animatronic but it only seemed to make the animatronic angrier. "Ah shit," cursed Dallas. Golden Freddy grabbed his pistol and threw it off to the side before picking him up and throwing him across the room.

"Dallas!" Starlight gasped. Golden Freddy quickly turned his attention to the four and reached out to grab Spike before Discord kicked him back.

"Thanks Discord," said Spike.

"Oho no need," chuckled Discord. But before he could say anything else, Golden Freddy reached out from behind and stretched and twisted his body eventually tying him into a knot. "Ouch," said Discord as Golden Freddy tossed him off to the side. He then turned towards Starlight and Spike and let out an angry screech as his eyes flashed red and the purple aura grew bigger. Spike and Starlight held each other in fear as Golden Freddy reached out for them. At that moment a loud crackling sound rang out from behind the animatronic bear causing him to freeze. The purple aura suddenly vanished and the red light in it's eyes died down as Golden Freddy fell on the ground completely limp.

"What happened?" asked Spike.

"Phew, thank god I managed to break Genesis's control before he did anymore damage," said Dallas.

"Wh-what did you do?" asked Starlight.

"I used this," said Dallas holding up a small yellow gun.

"What is that?" asked Spike.

"It's called a Taser Gun, it's a type of electroshock weapon given to us members of the law enforcement back where I came from," answered Dallas.

"So wait you shocked him?" asked Starlight.

"You remember how Genesis died when he was executed right?" asked Dallas.

"The Electric Chair I think is what you said right?" asked Starlight.

"That's right, and not only that but have you ever seen a single outlet or light switch anywhere in this mansion since you came here?" asked Dallas.

"Wait now that you think about it, there weren't nothing but candles," answered Starlight.

"We can only assume that the way Genesis was executed and the fact this mansion is only lit up by candles, he hates electricity," said Dallas. "And since these 100 souls are under Genesis's control, if we just give them an nice big dose of electricity,"

"We can free them from the control!" beamed the Spike.

"Exactly," said Dallas. Suddenly Golden Freddy slowly got his feet and turned to face the three. But this time two white pupils appeared in the eye sockets replacing the red glow from earlier.

"Looks like you're back to normal," said Dallas.

"Where am I?" asked Golden Freddy. "And who are you?" Dallas, Starlight, and Spike quickly explained the situation to Golden Freddy who seemed quite shaken up. "I was being controlled?" All three of them nodded.

"You even managed to knock out one of our friends and tie up another one into a knot," said Starlight.

"Hi there!" Discord called out to them.

"Oh uh sorry about that," said Golden Freddy looking over at Discord.

"No worries," said Discord.

"Either way, how do you feel?" asked Dallas.

"Fine now that you've freed me," said Golden Freddy.

"That's good, now if you don't mind we must be going," said Dallas.

"The other 99 souls right?" asked Golden Freddy. The three nodded. "Alright, but before you go," Golden Freddy picked up Discord and began undoing his knot.

"Thanks buddy," laughed Discord.

"Anytime, and good luck," said Golden Freddy vanishing.

"Well there he goes," said Starlight.

"Come, we must be going," said Dallas picking up the unconscious Twilight. He led the three up the stairs that suddenly appeared. That was the first soul, who knows what the other 99 had in store for them.

Floor 2: Manipulate

View Online

Spike stopped at the top of the stairs and turned around to see Starlight and Discord walking up after him.

"Hurry up guys!" Spike called out.

"You seem to be having fun considering the situation we're in," said Starlight.

"I like it," said Discord.

"Where's Dallas?" asked Spike.

"Back there," snickered Discord. The three turned around to see Dallas gasping for air as he carrying Twilight up the stairs piggyback style.

"Hurry up!" Spike called down him.

"Easy for you to say, you're not the carrying Twilight on your back," gasped Dallas.

"Hey I'm not THAT heavy!" Twilight exclaimed offended.

"There isn't anything wrong with you so you should be able to walk yourself," said Dallas.

"Come on we're almost there, giddy up!" cheered Twilight.

"I'm the one who should be saying that," gasped Dallas. When they finally reached the top, Twilight jumped off as Dallas collapsed on the ground from exhaustion.

"Alright floor 2!" beamed Spike.

"Don't get too excited now," said Dallas getting up. "Follow me, this floor's room should be this way," Dallas began walking down the right hallway with the four following behind. While exploring the second floor, the group found a single dining room and several bedrooms. Eventually the group came across another pair of wooden doors that stood out compared to all the door less rooms. "Here we are," said Dallas stopping in front of the door. Spike looked over to his right to see another large sign but with a different word hanging on the wall.

"Manipulate?" asked Spike.

"Ah the sin of manipulation, Genesis did a lot of that during his life," said Dallas. "Using his clever thinking to use others to carry out his sins,"

"Well I wonder who's behind door number 2," said Discord opening the door. The room inside looked similar to the room on floor 1, but this time the room was designed to look like one of those Japanese classrooms but without any desks and chairs. The moonlight poured in through the windows lined up on the side walls. Across from where the five were standing, was a young girl wearing a brown school uniform and blue skirt Her brown hair was tied back into a ponytail and a white bow was tied back at the back of her head. She was sitting in a chair holding a keyboard with her head down.

"Another human?" asked Discord. "Oh this just keeps getting interesting," Purple aura began to flow out from her body as she slowly raised her head. She opened her eyes revealing it glowing in the same red tint as Golden Freddy.

"Uh oh it's happening again," said Starlight. Dallas pulled out the booklet from his pocket and began flipping throught he page.

"Soul 2 Monika," Dallas read out loud.

"Monika?" asked Twilight.

"Doesn't sound menacing," said Discord.

"Monika is a high school girl and runs a club in her school, she uses her manipulative abilities to control and bend the personalities of three other girls to try and get the boy of her life to like her more," Dallas continued.

"That's what the keyboard is for right?" asked Twilight.

"Yeah," answered Dallas putting away the booklet and pulling out his taser gun.

"Wait you're going to shoot her!?" gasped Twilight.

"What no, oh right I guess I didn't tell you about my taser gun," said Dallas.

"A what?" asked Twilight. Dallas explained the concept of his taser gun and how it could be used to save the souls. After the explanation, Twilight look more convinced that terrified of Dallas's weapon.

"So we just have to hit her with that?" asked Twilight.

"That's right it should break the control," answered Dallas.

"Uh guys," stuttered Starlight. The two looked up as three shadow figures, wearing the same uniform suddenly appeared next to her. Dallas quickly took out his booklet again and flipped to the page.

"Ok so apparently the short one with the red bow is called Sayori, the tall girl with purple hair is Yuri, and the girl with pink hair is Natsuki," said Dallas. "Ok so she uses the girls to attack us,"

"Wait what?" asked Spike. Just as he asked, Monika began typing on her keyboard as a small black text box appeared over her head. Character Command Attack: Sayori, Yuri, Natsuki The eyes of the three girls flashed red as Sayori pulled out a lasso, Yuri with several knives and daggers, and Natsuki a box of cupcakes.

"Brace yourselves!" Dallas warned the four. Yuri was the first to move. She charged at them with two knives in each hand and one in her mouth. Dallas quickly moved out of the way as Yuri slashed at him with the two knives. Sayori charged at the other four and Natsuki started throwing her cupcakes that later became apparent that they were bombs. "Guys we have to destroy that keyboard!" said Dallas. Twilight dodged one of the cupcake bombs and charged at Monika. Glaring at her, Monika began typing on her keyboard. Character Command Attack: Sayori Sayori stopped in her tracks and threw her at Twilight who ran past her. The loop settled itself around Twilight's neck allowing Sayori to pull back hard causing Twilight to slip and fall.

"What the?" Twilight looked down to find the lasso's loop around her neck. Smirking, Monika began typing on her keyboard. Character Sayori: Strangle Sayori's eyes flashed red as the loop began to tighten itself around Twilight's neck. "Ack...too....tight," Twilight gasped.

"Twilight!" Starlight gasped. Before Starlight could run out and help her friend, Natsuki appeared in front of her blocking her path. Monika once again began typing on her keyboard. Character Natsuki: Poison Natsuki's eyes flashed red as she forced open Starlight's mouth and shoved a cupcake with purple frosting into her mouth. Starlight kicked Natsuki back and spit out the cupcake.

"Starlight are you alright?" asked Spike.

"I just got a good taste of that thing," said Starlight coughing.

"Hang in there," said Spike. "Discord," Spike looked up at him.

"You don't need to ask," snickered Discord. Discord rushed out to take on Natsuki while Spike stayed behind to care for Starlight.

"Spike," Starlight whimpered. Spike looked down at Starlight to see her color turning into a deep shade of purple. She began hack and cough and eventually vomited.

"Oh no, what do I do," said Spike panicking.

"Spike!" Dallas called out to him. Spike looked over. "Go, you have to destroy that keyboard!"

'But Starlight," Spike tried to object.

"Spike don't worry about me....just go," Starlight said weakly. Spike didn't want to have to leave his friend like this, but he knew that if he didn't destroy that keyboard then they would accomplish nothing.

"I'll be back," said Spike. Starlight smiled weakly as Spike stood up. Spike ran towards Monika as Dallas and Discord dealt with Natsuki and Yuri. Monika glared at him and began typing. Character Yuri: Dagger Character Natsuki: Cupcake Bombs Both Natsuki and Yuri's eyes flashed red as they turned their attention towards Spike. Yuri threw two daggers at Spike while Natsuki began bombarding him with her cupcake bombs. Spike dodged the attacks and charged at Monika growling. Suddenly Monika grabbed her keyboard and swatted him away. Spike fell back and looked up as Monika started typing. remove("characters/Spike.chr") Spike swallowed hard as Monika's finger hovered over the enter button. But just as she was about to hit enter, a golden paw reached over and grabbed her by the wrist. Monika and Spike looked over to see Golden Freddy standing there.

"Don't even think about it," growled Golden Freddy. He picked her up and threw her into the back wall. He walked over and hit the backspace key deleting the command. He picked up the keyboard and tossed it over to Spike. "Well what you gonna do?" Spike knew what he had to do. He had to destroy it, but he hesitated. Something inside him was preventing him from destroying it. That's when it hit him. He took the keyboard and began typing. Character Spike: Taser Gun He hit enter and Dallas's taser appeared in his claw. He got up and walked over to Monika. Golden Freddy followed behind him. Monika was getting up and glared at then two.

"You know this will hurt, so unless you do this yourself it won't be pleasant ," said Spike. Monika growled as she try to reach out for him. But not before Golden Freddy grabbed both of her wrists and pinned her against the wall. "Alright fine," said Spike. He held the taser up to her neck. "Good night," Without hesitation Spike pulled the trigger and zapped her knocking her unconscious. He turned around and ran back to his friends. He jumped up on Yuri as she stood before Dallas and stunned her with the taser knocking her out.

"Thanks Spike," said Dallas.

"Anytime," said Spike running over to Natsuki. He snuck up behind her and shot her in the back knocking her out cold. He then ran over to Sayori and repeated the process. As Sayori fell on the ground unconscious, the rope around Twilight's neck loosened allowing her to pull it off.

"Thanks Spike," Twilight gasped.

"I'm was so worried about you," said Spike.

"I know I'm sorry," apologized Twilight.

"Well done Spike, you saved us all," Dallas.

"Oh speaking of saving!" said Spike. He ran over to Starlight who was somehow still alive. "Starlight are you alright?" asked Spike.

'Yeah somehow," Starlight answered weakly.

"Whoa what happened?" asked Dallas.

"She was poisoned," answered Discord.

"WHAT!?" gasped Twilight.

"Don't worry I got a plan," said Spike. He snapped his claws as Golden Freddy handed him the keyboard. He began typing. Character Spike: Antidote He hit enter as a bottle of green liquid appeared. "Here drink this," said Spike walking over to her with the bottle. Starlight weakly opened her mouth as Spike poured in the antidote. Starlight swallowed and winced.

"Bleh," she yelped.

"Come on just drink it," said Spike. Starlight groaned as she flipped onto her back. The group turned around as the four girls slowly got up.

"Ow, my head," Natsuki groaned.

'What happened?" asked Sayori.

"Why does my neck hurt?" asked Yuri.

"Well, well looks like the young princesses are up," said Dallas.

"Who are you calling princess?" hissed Natsuki.

"Geez so much for freeing the mastermind and her accomplices," said Discord.

"Accomplices?" asked Sayori.

"Mastermind?" asked Yuri.

"What's going on, what's all the noise?" asked Monika getting up.

"Speak of the devil," said Dallas.

"Wha where am I?" gasped Monika.

"Hey who are you and weirdos and where are we?" asked Natsuki.

"Welp settle down girls cause uncle Dallas will tell you a story," said Dallas.

'Uncle Dallas?" snickered Sayori. Dallas ignored Sayori's comment and explained their situation to the four. From the 100 floor mansion, to the 100 souls, and Genesis's plot.

"So what you're telling us is, this vengeful spirit of a man who did many terrible things in his life, is haunting this mansion and he needs 100 souls to sacrifice to the devil to escape hell am I right?" asked Monika. The five including Golden Freddy nodded.

"Welp this is creepy as fuck so I'm getting outta here," said Natsuki.

"Not gonna happen," said Discord.

"What why?" asked Natsuki.

"The doors are locked, and I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't want to have to jump out the window even if this IS the second floor," said Starlight.

"Plus this is Equestria, you won't be able to go home anyway," said Twilight.

"So technically you're all stuck in here until we free all 100 souls," said Spike.

"Damn it," cursed Natsuki.

'Well it wouldn't hurt to explore a bit will it?" asked Yuri.

"No," answered Dallas. "But the only floor that's been cleared is this floor and the first floor so there really isn't much to explore,"

"Better than nothing!" cheered Sayori.

"By the way, where's my keyboard?" asked Monika. Spike handed her the keyboard with a grin.

"I enjoyed playing with it," snickered Spike.

"You didn't break it did you?" asked Monika.

"I was before I stopped myself," answered Spike.

"Good to know," said Monika.

"Anyways, we better get going, we still have 98 souls to go," said Dallas.

"Hey Goldie watch the girls will you?" asked Discord.

"Oh, ok," said Golden Freddy.

"We're not kids you know!!!" Natsuki called out to them. Dallas waved back at them without turning back as he led the four up the flight of stairs onto the third floor.

Floor 3: Terrible

10 minutes had passed since they reclaimed Monika's soul and now Dallas and the gang had made their way onto the third floor. Of course although the group was in a hurry to reclaim the remaining souls, Dallas had given them time to explore around the mansion. As they group split up and explored the third floor they made sure to meet by the door. It wasn't long before Dallas had reunited with the four after five minutes.

"Alright everyone's back," said Dallas facing the door.

"Terrible," Starlight read the sign out loud.

"Oh great who's behind this door?" groaned Spike. Dallas opened the door and looked inside the room. The entire place was completely dark with only torches lighting up the place. The room had walls that looked like it was from an old medieval castle and no windows. Across the room a large beast stood facing them. The beast had red hair flowing out from the top of it's head with two horns sticking out from the side of it's head. It had a large mouth and large claws. On it's back was a large shell with multiple spikes protruding out.

"Whoa," said Twilight.

"Pfft haha, wow that's the biggest enemy we've faced since we came here!" laughed Discord.

"I don't think calling it fat will make anything better Discord," said Starlight. As usual purple aura began to flow out from the beast's body as it's eyes flashed red.

"Soul 3 Bowser aka King Koopa," Dallas read out loud. "Bowser is the leader of the Koopa Clan back in his world and a terrible tyrant, his large size and ability to breathe fire has spread terror throughout the mushroom kingdom, but has always lost against his archenemy Mario,"

"So he can breathe fire," said Spike smirking.

"Wait don't tell me you're getting into it!" yelped Twilight. Bowser let out an angry roar as he inhaled.

"You might want to move if you don't wanna get scorched," said Dallas.

"Wait what?!" Starlight yelped. But by the time she realized a stream of fire was heading straight towards them. Panicked Starlight dove out of the way along with Twilight and Discord. Meanwhile Spike dashed forward and jumped onto Bowser's face.

"Now!" Dallas ordered. He pulled out his taser and ran towards Bowser.

"Well let's go," sighed Twilight.

"Oh this is going to be interesting," said Discord. Before she knew it, Starlight had been left behind by the others.

"Hey wait for me!" she called out after them. Bowser managed to pry Spike of his face and threw him to the side. He turned his attention towards Dallas who was getting ready to let his taser do it's works. Without warning he jumped up completely catching Dallas off guard.

"What the hell?!" Dallas yelped. Bowser landed behind Dallas and in front of Twilight with a loud boom. He raised his claws and slashed at Twilight. But Twilight, too swift for him quickly dodged the attack and headbutted him knocking him back. Dallas who was running back to help Twilight sidestepped to avoid getting crushed. He looked at Twilight who nodded. Dallas gave her a thumbs up and pointed the taser at Bowser. But just as he was about to pull the trigger, Bowser grabbed him as he got on his feet. He held him in front of him as he inhaled. "Well shit," Just as Bowser was about to let out a stream of fire into his face, Spike jumped on his head and jabbed him in the eye with his tail Bowser roared and dropped Dallas. "Thanks Spike,"

"No problem," said Spike. Bowser growled as he grabbed Spike and threw him off.

"Hey!" Dallas called out to him. Bowser looked over as Dallas pointed the taser in his face. "Burn this bitch," He pulled the trigger and zapped him in the face. Bowser let out a roar of agony as he covered his eyes and fell backwards onto his shell. Dallas walked over and shocked him on the cheek to make sure he was out for good.

"Well that was easy," said Spike.

"Aw over already?" groaned Discord.

"So much for being a terrible tyrant," said Twilight.

"Sorry I couldn't do much," apologized Starlight.

"Hey no worries, I'm sure anybody would freak out if they had to face someone like Bowser," said Dallas.

"Are you calling me a coward?" asked Starlight obviously offended.

"Ok forget I said anything," said Dallas. At that moment Bowser slowly sat up and looked around.

"Ow, what happened?" Bowser asked.

"Rise and shine your majesty," said Dallas.

"Wha who are you and where am I?" asked Bowser.

"You don't remember either huh?" asked Twilight.

"Now that you mention it I don't think Golden Freddy or even Sayori, Yuri, Natsuki, and Monika remembered what happened," said Starlight. Dallas explained the situation to Bowser who seemed pretty shaken up afterwards.

"Ok, look I don't care about some stupid ghost, I need to find a way outta here," said Bowser.

"Sorry but not possible, unless we free all 100 souls we're all stuck in here," said Spike.

"Are you serious!?" asked Bowser.

"Yeah, bummer really," said Discord.

"Damn that ghost," growled Bowser.

"Hey no worries we'll take care of Genesis," said Dallas. "Right guys?" The four nodded their heads smiling.

"Well hurry alright, I wanna get out of this place, gives me the creeps," said Bowser. He got up and walked out the door they came from.

"You gonna wait in the lobby?" asked Spike.

"Where else am I supposed to go?" asked Bowser.

"You could come with us!" suggested Starlight.

"I don't work with others," said Bowser.

"Suit yourself," said Discord shrugging.

"Listen guys, before we go on," said Dallas stopping the group.

'What's up?" asked Spike.

"Look I know this is only the third floor but, everything has been easy up until now, who knows when things start getting dangerous," said Dallas. "When that happens, we'll really need to be on guard,"

"We know," said Twilight.

'You do great, just wanted to get that off my chest," said Dallas. "Alright we've already freed 3 souls from Genesis's control, let's keep pushing!"

"Yeah!" the four answered in unison.

'Alright floor four here we come," said Dallas. Excited, Dallas led the group up the next flight of stairs.

Floor 4: Jealousy

View Online

Compared to the past three floors, floor 4 was almost destroyed by the fire. Everything was black and crumbling apart. However aside from the destroyed hallways and scorched rooms, there was a nice balcony that was somehow still untouched. Starlight looked up at the night sky. The moon was high in the sky and the stars were sparkling beautifully.

"If only I could celebrate Nightmare night with my friends," sighed Starlight.

"You seem down," a familiar voice spoke up. Starlight looked to her left to see an alicorn with a navy blue coat and sparkling blue mane. She had a white crescent moon cutie mark on her flank surrounded by a splotch of black.

"Princess Luna!?" Starlight gasped.

"You didn't show up for nightmare night so I was getting worried," Luna said with a sad look on her face.

"I know, I'm sorry," said Starlight.

"Did something happen?" asked Luna.

"N-no," Starlight lied.

"Come on you can tell me," said Luna. "This mansion can't keep secrets from me,"

"Wait, you mean, you can see it!?" Starlight gasped.

"Indeed," answered Luna. "Now that you know, how about you tell me what's wrong," Starlight hesitated but eventually managed to summon up the courage to explain their current situation. "Is that so?" asked Luna.

"You don't seem too fazed by this," said Starlight.

"Well from what you've told me, you already recovered three souls right?" asked Luna. Starlight nodded. "I mean sure, things might get a little difficult later on, but just keep your head high, and push forward no matter what," said Luna.

"Wow thanks for the life lesson," grumbled Starlight.

"Look if I told Celestia about this would it make you feel better?" asked Luna.

"A lot," answered Starlight.

"Alright," said Luna spreading her wings. Smiling, Starlight waved goodbye as Luna took off into the night.

"Hey," a voice spoke up. Starlight turned around to see Dallas standing there. "We found it," Starlight nodded as she followed after Dallas. The two finally met up with Twilight, Spike, and Discord who were waiting at the door.

"Jealousy," said Spike pointing to the sign.

"Welp this is going to be good," said Dallas. He opened the door leading into a throne room. Multiple torches hung on the walls light with green flames. A single human sat on the throne. The human wore a green robe and had yellow hair with a golden crown sitting on his head.

"Another human?" asked Spike.

"Soul 4, The Fairy King Oberon," Dallas read out loud.

"Fairies?" asked Discord confused.

"Oberon is the evil tyrant that rules the fairies of Alfheim Online, his jealousy got the best of him after his craving of power grew too great," Dallas continued. He closed the booklet and stuffed it back into his jacket. Just as usual purple aura began flowing out of the boss's body and his eyes flashed red as he looked up.

"Let's get this over with," said Discord.

"Agreed," said Twilight. Oberon's eyes flashed red as a golden sword appeared in his left hand.

"Oh hell he's got a sword," said Dallas.

"Come on just hit him with your taser, that easy remember?" asked Discord.

"Don't jinx it Discord," said Starlight.

"Yeah, whatever," said Discord. Dallas could tell that Discord really wanted to make some progress because he went right for it. He slithered along the ground towards Oberon. But he obviously noticed. Just before Discord could get to him, large green wings appeared on his back as he launched himself into the air.

"What in Equestria!?" gasped Twilight.

"Uh Dallas you didn't tell us he could fly," said Starlight. Dallas took out the booklet and flipped through.

'It didn't say in the booklet," said Dallas. Suddenly without warning, Oberon flew down and kicked Dallas in the chest knocking him back.

"Hey, don't hurt my friend!" Twilight hissed. She umped up and grabbed him by the legs dragging him down to the ground. Oberon growled as he tried to kick her off. "Spike get his wings!" Spike nodded as he climbed up Twilight like a ladder and up the fairy king's leg. He managed to get to the wings and inhaled. Oberon reached behind his back reaching for Spike, but he managed to set his wings on fire before Oberon could get his hands on him. Spike jumped off as the fairy king crashed on the ground. Dallas jumped up and drew his taser. Starlight saw that his sword was just in reach and quickly kicked it across the room before Oberon could retrieve it. Oberon slowly got up and saw Dallas standing before him pointing the taser at his forehead. Seeing what was coming next, the fairy king tried to get back on his feet, but Discord slithered up next to him and wrapped his body around him to keep him from moving.

"Good night," said Dallas. Then he pulled the trigger without hesitation knocking the fairy king unconscious.

"I really enjoyed this one," said Discord.

"Yeah thanks for being useful for once," said Spike.

'Hey I would be able to do more if I had my magic," said Discord.

"Either way we managed to free our 4th soul," said Starlight.

"Yes, but don't get your hopes up too high, we still have 96 souls remaining," said Dallas. "Genesis, would've noticed our work by now, so we can only be careful the rest of the way up, after all we won't know when we might run into Genesis himself," The four nodded in agreement.

"Ugh, where am I?" Oberon asked.

"That was fast," said Spike.

"Well, well if it isn't the fairy king himself," said Discord.

"Wha who are you and why am I tied up?" asked Oberon.

"Discord," said Twilight.

"Ok fine," groaned Discord letting him go.

"Wha a talking pony!?" Oberon gasped. He scrambled to his feet obviously frightened.

"Halt," said Dallas. Oberon turned around to be greeted by Dallas's pistol.

"What is the meaning of this?" asked Oberon.

"Fairy King Oberon, I've heard about you," said Dallas. "You're the one that stole the people and the world of Sword Art Online to create your own game just so you could beat your 'rival' as I would call it,"

"Ah well...thats," Oberon stuttered.

"As for your name, I believe it was Sugou Nobuyuki in real life correct?" asked Dallas moving the barrel of his pistol closer to his chest.

"Y-yes that's right," said Oberon raising both of his hands.

"You do realize that what you did back in the real world was considered a crime right?" asked Dallas.

"Yes sir," whimpered Sugou.

"Well I would arrest you here, but I'm a generous and understanding person," said Dallas.

"What?" asked Sugou.

"How about this, I can forget about everything you did and let you off the hook under one condition," said Dallas.

"What is it I'll do anything!" pleaded Sugou.

"Right now, we're all trapped in this mansion with a psycho spirit hungry for revenge, if you can help us defeat it I'll let your slip pass," said Dallas.

"Help you beat a vengeful spirit?" repeated Sugou.

"That's right, not a bad deal now is it?" asked Dallas.
