> Stolen Memories > by Cipher800 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > What Had Happened > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was just another day in Equestria: the birds were singing, the sun was shining, and everyone was having a good time in the formerly quiet town of Ponyville. But then, a villain showed up. He called himself Zero, and he assaulted Equestria starting at the capitol: Canterlot. He imprisoned the princesses on the intent of killing them, hypnotized the guards to do his bidding, and pretty much took the city by storm. But as always, Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends arrived to save the day once again. Soon, the Mane Six busted through with the Elements and their Rainbow Power in tow. "It's over, Zero. You thought you could use the Princesses against us, but friendship comes up top." Twilight said as they fired the Rainbow of Light at their enemy, a humanoid being with a skin that looked like armor. Zero looked at them with the glowing blue face-like set of geometric shaped and "smirked" as they began to fire their Rainbow. He wasn't stupid like the other ones were. So, he did an impressive backflip just when the rainbow was about to hit before lunging towards them. "Heh, foolish princess." Zero said as his hand sank into the sphere of light, disrupting their Rainbow Power, causing them to drop to the ground as Zero casually landed on his feet. "Though I may have failed to take over, I'm not stupid when it comes to may plans. It is impressive that you managed to get past all my defenses and mazes, I really am impressed." Zero said as he walked towards Twilight and grabbed her neck. "But I won't leave without a consolation prize." Twilight did not know what he was going to do, and struggled to get free, but to no avail. "Pretty soon, you won't remember anything, except for basic skills and muscle memory, but you get the point! Soon, you'll be somewhere far away." Twilight tried to struggle even more, but it was too late as Zero pulled out some sort of jewel and began sucking away her memories and she began to fall asleep while Zero laughed. Applejack and Rainbow Dash responded by galloping towards Zero bucking him in the thighs, causing him trip over a piece of the ceiling and fall, letting go of an unconscious Twilight. "Twilight!" Spike said as he and the others ran over. Even Celesita was there. Twilight was like the daughter she never ever had, and this was heartbreaking to her, however, Zero got up, dusting his arms as they glared at him. "I wasn't expecting that, but whatever." Zero said as he jumped out of a broken window. "See you next time, losers." he said as he flew off into the distance with the jewel at hand, leaving the group to Twilight. "We need to get her to a hospital, NOW!" Celestia said as Spike began to tell the medical ponies about what happened so they can check for any additional side effects. Twilight's body felt limp, she couldn't feel anything except for a dense headache and a pain in her neck. But she did hear voices. "Is she gonna be okay?" an unfamiliar voice said in a soft tone. Twilight opened her eyes, only to close them on the last second. "Didn't you see that? She opened her eyes! Let's throw a You-Got-Better Party for Twilight!" another unfamiliar and extremely high-pitched voice said in the background. How do they know her name, or at least the owner that particular voice. As time progressed, Twilight was able to feel more of her body, including something on her back. "Keep it down, darling. Twilight's trying to recover..." another voice said in a fancy accent she would've heard of in an opera movie, if they had movies in Equestria. "Ugh, where am I?" Twilight said as more of her vision returned to her. She blinked a couple of times before rubbing her closed eyes with her hooves. "And who are you?" she said as she began to stretch her limbs, including a pair of wings resting on her back. Wait, what? "And why do I HAVE WINGS!?" Twilight said as her pupils shrank at the sight of the two feathered limbs on her back. "Twilight, don't you remember me?" a familiar voice said. Twilight looked to see the owner of that voice: her number one assistant, Spike, and immediately grabbed him with her front hooves. "Since when do I have wings, Spike!? And why am I in a hospital!? Please tell me this is another prank, Spike?" Twilight said as she tried to bite one of them, only to let go in pain. "OW! They can't be real, they CAN'T!" Twilight said as she dropped the little dragon in shock. "Calm down, Twilight. At least you remember me, right?" Spike said as Twilight began breathing more and more rapidly before she began to cough. "Twilight, are you okay?" Spike asked as Twilight began to breathe in and out slowly. "Yeah, I'm fine. But that still doesn't explain why I have wings." Twilight said as her draconic assistant tried to formulate an answer before going with another question. "Twilight, what was the last thing you remember, before you woke up here?" Spike asked. "All I remember another day in Canterlot, an I was invited to Moondancer's party the next day. But that still doesn't answer my question!" Twilight explained. Spike was about to answer before the door opened and Celestia walked into the room. "Princess Celestia!" Twilight said as she hugged the bigger alicorn's neck. "I'm so worried right about now. What just happened!" Celestia was unable to resist hugging her student back. "Twilight, thank goodness you're alright!" Celestia said as they let go. "Princess Celestia? Why do I have wings?" Twilight said. "You always had them, ever since-" What Celestia had to say was interrupted by Twilight. "Since what? Was this all a delusion and I was born like this, what kind of pony am I?" Twilight asked. "Twilight, you're an alicorn." Celestia said as they helped Twilight off the bed. "And you don't have to address me as princess, since we're both princesses." "What kind of a world did I go to?" Twilight asked as she held her hoof over her forehead. "Don't worry, Twilight. Your friends are right beside you..." a familiar/unfamiliar voice said. That voice belonged to a yellow pegasus with a pink mane and teal eyes. "Friends? Since when did I become friends with someone I barely knew?" Twilight asked. "We'll explain later on..." Celestia said as she gazed on. Twilight felt much more confident with the Princess around, but she was still suspicious about it being a prank or a weird dream, not that anyone would tell her, anyway. "For now, we have to talk with someone..."
