Charming Thunder and Danny were working together on the computer working on a page for the school yearbook. Charming Thunder moved around pictures to get them in the right place. Sunset Shimmer looked at the screen and gave him a thumbs up. When she turned around as she carried papers, she accidentally bumped into a green haired girl and dropped the papers to the ground. "Excuse me," the girl said.

"I'm sorry," Sunset said. "I didn't see you come in."

"I've been here for a while."

"I didn't realize."

"I've been trying to get your attention."

"Ain't she a quiet one," Applejack said; softly.

"Yeah," Rainbow said. "And we know some pretty shy people. Am I right?"

"We do?" Fluttershy asked. "Who?"

"I'm Sunset Shimmer," Sunset said. "President of the Yearbook Committee and editor-in-chief. Do you want to join? We could always use extra help."

"I'm Wallflower Blush," Wallflower said.

"Nice to meet you."

"I've been on the Yearbook Committee all year."

"Oh! Um..."

"We met in ninth-grade English." Charming Thunder stood up from the computer and walked up next to Sunset.

"And...I was...saying it was nice to meet you then. You didn't let me finish."

"Anyway, I counted up all the votes for the yearbook Superlatives." Everyone in the room cheered except Charming Thunder, Danny, and Wallflower.

"Most Likely to Succeed, Best Smile, Class Clown." Sunset gasped at what she was about to read next. "Ooh! We won Best Friends! Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, Charming Thunder, Danny, and me!"

"I always knew I liked you all, but now it's official!" Pinkie said. "In yearbook form! The people have spoken!" Twilight hugged Charming Thunder.

"Oh, good for Micro Chips. Most Likely to Invent Cold Fusion. Not a reason to be jealous. I'm not!"

"Don't worry, Twilight," Fluttershy reassured. "We know you're a genius."

"Besides, it's just the yearbook," Rainbow said. Everyone in the room gasped.

"Just the yearbook?"

"Now ya gone and done it!" Applejack groaned.

"The student body has entrusted me with the responsibility of gathering their memories into the pages of this book. In thirty years, we might not remember everything, but we will remember what's in the yearbook."

"Well, I'm entrusting you not to put us next to Best Muscles," Rainbow said. "Every time you close the book, it'll be like we're kissing Bulk Biceps!"

"Uh, why don't we take our picture at the beach on Saturday?" Rarity asked. "Everyone's bound to look adorable."

"Beach day!" Pinkie shouted. "I'll make my world-famous fun-in-the-sun cupcakes." She then whispered to Fluttershy. "The secret ingredient is edible sunscreen! It's SPF fun-hundred!" The doors suddenly open and Trixie entered the room.

"The Great and Powerful Trixie demands to speak to the yearbook editor immediately!" Trixie demanded.

"Unfortunately for me, that's me," Sunset said. "What do you want, Trixie?"

"Ha! Just as I suspected! I was not voted Greatest and Most Powerfullest! Explain yourself!"

"How should I put this? You didn't win Greatest and Most Powerful because it wasn't one of the Superlatives."

"Neither was Biggest Meanie, but that didn't stop you from winning it our freshman year." Charming Thunder knew that things was going too far so he placed his hand over the hilt of his lightsaber until Applejack butted in on the conversation.

"That was different," Applejack said. "The whole school voted for her."

"She was so mean," Pinkie said.

"Of course, we all know you've earned the right not to be remembered that way," Twilight said.

"Thanks," Sunset said before speaking to Trixie. "We're not having a Greatest and Powerfullest Superlative. Sorry."

"Oh, you're the one who'll be sorry, Sunset Shimmer!" Trixie said; angrily. "When you least expect it, I'll have my revenge, and then I'll disappear! Like this! Behold! The Magician's Exit!" She then threw down a smoke bomb causing everyone to cough in the room. When the smoke faded away, the group see Trixie struggling to open the door.

"Allow me." Sunset then unlocked the door with her keys. "We were actually on our way out." Trixie then walked out of the room with no thank you. Charming Thunder was about to leave with the others, but stopped and placed a hand on his head then collapsed. Twilight was the first to rush in to cradle him.

"What is it, Charming?" Twilight asked; worried. Sunset then grabbed his arm to see what is wrong.

---------------------

The environment was dark as Charming Thunder used his lightsaber to light his way. He then found on the ground his helmet in pieces. When he was about to touch it, a voice came in the room. "Insects interfere," the female voice said. "They do not understand." A human wearing scary robes and a golden crest covering her face appeared in front of him. "I am one of the six Dread Masters. Heed my warning."

"Are you threatening me?" Charming Thunder said.

"Mephelis from Equestria spoke highly of you before, Charming Thunder. I am driven by a higher purpose; your death."

"How do you know of me? The Mephiles here would never be evil. Unless."

"I am Bestia. The Mephiles of the other world sent one of us to this world. Heed this warning. Interfere with my plans, you will tremble before my power."

---------------------

Charming Thunder woke up as Sunset released his arm. Twilight sighed with relief as she helped him up. He then looked at Sunset and asked, "I take it that you saw it as well?"

"I did," Sunset said. "Who was that?"

"I fear that this world is in danger again. This Bestia is a Dread Master from the other world. You should inform the other Twilight about this situation."

"I will make a note of that."

"Are you sure you are okay?" Twilight asked.

"I am," Charming Thunder reassured. Him along with Twilight an Sunset left the room leaving Wallflower in the room.

"I'll just finish up..." Wallflower said.

"Forgot to turn off the lights," Sunset said as she turned off the lights in the room.

"...in the dark."

---------------------

In the forest next to Canterlot High, Wallflower walked and arrived at the garden with a rock formation. She then took out a stone out of her backpack and looked at it for a brief moment. "Trying to to do what you think is right, little girl?" a female voice said.

"Who's there?" Wallflower said as she looked around for the source of the voice.

"Behind you." Wallflower turned quickly and encounters Bestia which made her jump and take a few steps back. "No need for fear from me, child."

"Then why are you here?"

"I am here because of this so called Sunset Shimmer and her friends. I trust that you have heard of me?"

"No. And why should I trust you?"

"Because we have something in common. We don't like being invisible, forgotten. I was forgotten until someone set me and the other masters free from our prison."

"You are not from around here, are you?"

"No." Bestia then looked at the stone in Wallflower's hand. "I see that you have the memory stone."

"You know of this stone?"

"Yes. And how it works. It wipes fragments of memories on anyone. You were planning on using it, were you?" Wallflower only nodded at the thought. "Why not use it on Sunset Shimmer's friends and make them forget about her being nice?"

"I take it that you know her past as well."

"Indeed."

"And why should I trust you?"

"Because I can help you take care of one of her friends; Charming Thunder." Wallflower looked at the stone and back at Bestia. She then sat down on the ground and unrolled a piece of paper with writings on it. She then quietly read it as the stone glowed and Bestia watched.

At the beach, the girls gather together as a drone flew around so that they can get their picture taken for the yearbook. Rarity and Rainbow were deciding on which beach blanket to use for the photo while Fluttershy partakes in some scuba diving. Twilight was keeping an eye on the drone as it flew around taking photos. "Group picture, practice run number thirty-six A, take seven," Twilight said before the drone went all crazy. "Oh no!" She then grabbed it to resolve the problem. "Your eyes do not deceive you. I finally invented a selfie-sensing camera. It hovers into position whenever it detects a selfie opportunity."

"I prefer to take selfies myself..." Applejack said.

"Which beach blanket should we use for the photograph?" Rarity asked.

"You mean the white one?" Rainbow said. "Or the white one?"

"This is toasted oat and linen lamb's wool. Eggshell, warm frost, pale nimbus, and...well, that one is white, I suppose."

"Yeah. That's the one I was talking about." The wind began to blow and one of the towels began to fly away. Spike was digging a hole when he noticed it go over his head.

"Don't worry, Rarity!" Spike said. "I got it!"

"No, I got it!" Pinkie said as she ran with Spike. "I got it!"

"Nuh-uh! I got it! I got it!" The towel then landed in the water as Pinkie tripped and landed on Spike.

"I don't got it," Pinkie and Spike said in unison. The towel along with some seaweed popped out of the water.

"Ocean monster!" Pinkie said. "Ocean monster!" It was then revealed that Fluttershy came back from the water and removed the towel over her body.

"Quincy the sea turtle says the tide's coming in," Fluttershy explained. "We should take the picture soon or risk having damp ankles. Oh, he's so thoughtful." The drone then flew around as everyone gathered. Sunset arrived with Charming Thunder and Danny in their swim suits. Sunset smiled and walked up to them when the drone suddenly flew up to her.

"Twilight, you got the Selfie Sensor working?" Sunset asked. The drone then flew away and hid behind Twilight. "Okay. So, who's ready to take a Best Friends picture?" There was no response as Fluttershy hid behind Applejack. "Uh-oh. What did I do?" Charming Thunder had a suspicious look on his face and sighed. "Should we do it now, or...did you wanna swim first? How's the water?"

"Sunset Shimmer?" Applejack said. "Asking to be in our "Best Friends picture? Now I've heard it all."

"Am I missing the joke here?" Charming Thunder tilted his head in confusion.

"What is going on here?" Charming Thunder said. "Is it because I am wearing tennis shoes at the beach?"

"The only joke is whatever this is you're playing on us, acting all nice like you're our friend," Rarity said.

"And it's not funny!" Fluttershy said.

"Because you aren't nice," Rainbow said.

"And we ain't friends," Applejack added."

"Wait," Sunset said. "What?"

"You got applesauce in your ears? I said, we ain't fr--" Sunset grabbed Applejack's arm to read her mind as Charming Thunder connected with the force to see what she sees. When Sunset released her she was shocked as Charming Thunder was.

"It's like I've been...erased! This has to be a bad dream. Wake up, Sunset. Wake up!" Pinkie pinched Sunset on the arm.

"Nope," Pinkie said. "You're awake." She then pinched herself then giggled. "Me too!" Sunset then looked at Rainbow.

"What about you?" Sunset grabbed Rainbow's arm and sees something. She then lets go of her. "No! Rainbow Dash, you saved me in that race!"

"What are you talking about?"

"I can see your memories, and I'm not in them!"

"And exactly how is it you can see our memories, if you don't mind me asking?" Applejack asked.

"With this!" Sunset then tapped on her necklace.

"It's obviously a cheap knockoff of ours," Rarity said.

"We got them together. You were there, remember?"

"Why is she still talking to us?" Fluttershy asked.

"Pinkie Pie, what about when I came to your sleepover before the Battle of the Bands?"

"The closest you've ever come to a party of mine is freshman year, when you pretended to be Applejack and texted me; Your party is lamer than a hungry duck in snow boots," Pinkie said.

"Like I'd ever say that," Applejack said.

"It really hurt my feelings."

"And it wasn't very nice to the ducks, either," Fluttershy added.

"That was a long time ago," Sunset said. "Twilight, you remember me, right? We've been through so much together. Please..."

"I only met you once, when you yelled at me at the Games. And that you would never hang out with my boyfriend." Charming Thunder only took a step back in shock.

"I would never do that to you, Twilight," Charming Thunder said.

"Doesn't anyone remember that I've changed?!"

"Let me try something." Charming Thunder then reached out with the force to access Twilight's mind. He then stopped to only gasp at what he saw. Twilight only took a step closer to try to reassure him something.

"Now, Charming. It's not what you think." Charming Thunder only looked away with a sigh. He then took his helmet out of his backpack and looked at it for a moment. He then dropped it on the ground and looked at Twilight.

"Maybe what you told Timber was true. I am just a child...in a mask."

"Charming, please try to listen to me." Charming Thunder then stomped his foot on his helmet which caused it to crack. Twilight and the others gasped at what they just witnessed. A tear fell from Charming Thunder's face before he continued to stomp on the helmet more. He then kicked it away from him and the others leaving it sparking. He then turned around and walked past Sunset and Danny.

"Let's go, guys." Danny looked at Rainbow then Sunset and then Twilight.

"I hope you are proud of yourself, Twilight," Danny said before he turned to follow Charming Thunder.

"I'll be right back!" Sunset said as she realized something then followed Charming Thunder and Danny away from Twilight and the others.

"Don't hurry back, darling!" Rarity said. Sunset rushed to Charming Thunder and Danny as they walked away.

"What if the other Twilight is still friends with us, Charming." Charming Thunder stopped walking and turned to face Sunset.

"It's worth a try," Charming Thunder said. "Try contacting her." Sunset nodded and the three went to a place where no one will see. Charming Thunder and Danny pretended to hang out as Sunset hid under a lifeguard post.

"Dear Princess Twilight, this is gonna sound crazy, but... are we friends? Am I... nice? Please answer..." The book then began to glow as Sunset read a reply. She then wrote back with an explanation on why she asked that question.

"What did she say?"

"She said that we are friends. She also said that she will find information involving with erased memories."

"That's good news," Danny said.

"She said that it is going to take a while." Charming Thunder only groaned. "Let's head to Canterlot High and wait for an answer back from Twilight." Charming Thunder and Danny nodded and followed Sunset away from the beach.

Chapter 3: The Memory Stone

Charming Thunder meditated as Danny and Sunset waited for a reply from Twilight about what is going on. Rocks floated around him as he meditated. The rocks then dropped back to the ground as he slowly opened his eyes with tears coming out. "If I may ask, Charming," Sunset said; worried. "What did you see in Twilight's mind?"

"It is something I don't want to be around for," Charming Thunder replied.

"When you smashed your helmet, was that a sign of a breakup?" Danny asked.

"No. I still love her. But why would she say such a thing about me?"

"Maybe it's because you didn't bother to watch the whole memory," Sunset said. "Surely she didn't mean to say that to you."

"You may be right, Sunset. Maybe I just got carried away."

(Note: Sung to the tune of Love Never Dies' Til I Hear You Sing))

Sung by: Charming Thunder

The day starts, the day ends
Time crawls by
Visions steal in, pacing in my mind
The moments creep,
Yet I can't bear to sleep
Till we are together

Charming Thunder then stood up and looked at the sky.

And weeks pass, and months pass
Seasons fly
Still she won't walk through my door
And in a haze
I count the silent days
Till we are together again
'Cause sometimes in darkness
I dream that she is in my arms
But wake holding nothing but the cold night air

Charming Thunder turned to face Danny and Sunset.

And years come, and years go
Time runs dry
Still I ache deep in my core
My broken heart can't be alive or whole
Till we are together again
And the times, our good times
It teases at my ear
I turn and it fades away and she's not there
Let hopes pass, let dreams pass
Let them all die
Without her, what am I for?
I'll always feel
No more than halfway real
Till we are together again

The book then suddenly began to vibrate and glow as Sunset picked it up and read it. She smiled and looked at Charming Thunder. "We're in luck!!!" she said. "Twilight has found something that might help us."

"Let's hear it," Charming Thunder said.

"You may not be familiar with this as I am, but this is related to Equestria's Clover the Clever's seven trials. The Memory Stone."

"That doesn't sound good," Danny said.

"It belonged to an evil sorceress who was practically invincible. With the Memory Stone, she could erase any memory from anypony. Even fragments of memories. Fragments like...memories of me being nice. Clover the Clever knew the sorceress had to be stopped and the Stone destroyed, so he chased her across land and sea. But every time he got close, the sorceress would erase his memory and escape. But he kept finding her."

"How?" Charming Thunder asked.

"These scraps of parchment. He secretly wrote everything down so he'd know what had happened and where to go next. Like a trail of bread crumbs."

"That's very...'clever'." Charming Thunder then chuckled at the joke.

"Twilight also said that where she found the information, the last page was missing. Clover must've hid it to keep anyone else from finding the Memory Stone."

"So we're kind of stuck."

"I'm sure Twilight will find the last page while she is at the forbidden section of the Canterlot library."

"So what now?" Danny asked.

"With a Dread Master and a Memory Stone out and about, there is no telling what could happen."

"Let me and Danny handle the Dread Master. You go back to the beach and ask your friends about the stone." Sunset nodded and ran off in a hurry as Danny and Charming Thunder stayed at the school.

---------------------

Charming Thunder explored the halls of Canterlot High as he began his search for the Dread Master Bestia. He then heard whispers echoing in the halls which was not coming from the students. He then followed the source and stepped outside to the broken statue. He then walked up to the statue and placed a hand on it with his eyes closed and everything went quiet. He then opened his eyes to see himself standing in a starry environment. He looked around all confused. "Where am I?" Charming Thunder asked. "Another one of your warnings, Bestia?"

"I'm not sure who this Bestia is, but I could tell that she is one of the Dread Masters that have been freed from my world," a voice said as the red alicorn flew out of nowhere and landed in front of Charming Thunder. "It has been a long time, my friend." The human Charming Thunder kneels to the pony Charming Thunder's presence.

"How are you here?"

"I'm not. I am still in my world as you are in your world. I heard about one of the Dread Masters infiltrating my wife's castle and somehow entered your world."

"It's true." Human Charming Thunder stood up. "And the memory stone is another problem we are dealing with."

"I know. Twilight told me all about it. I am at Canterlot with her trying to find more information about it. But there is one thing you must do when you confront a Dread Master."

"And what's that?"

"Let the past die. Kill it if you have to. It's the only way to become what you are meant to be." Human Charming Thunder understood what the pony Charming Thunder meant and nodded. "Even if it means confronting your fears." The pony Charming Thunder then began to vanish as the environment changed back to where he was currently standing. He then decides to head back inside to continue his search for Bestia.

---------------------

Charming Thunder walked through the halls of the school. He then heard voices and began to investigate. He then saw Sunset confronting Trixie. "You really want to do this here in the hallway in front of everyone?" Trixie asked.

"Up to you," Sunset replied.

"Behold! Canterlot High School's Greatest and Powerfullest Student! If a seven-scale mockup doesn't convince you, I don't know what will."

"Where's the Memory Stone? You turned my friends against me just because I wouldn't put you in the yearbook as the Greatest and Powerfullest?! Powerfullest isn't even a word!"

"What are you talking about?"

"It's not a word!

"No. What Memory Stone?"

"The one you used to erase everyone's memory, you manipulative...blowhard!"

"A stone that could make everyone forget all the bad tricks I've done...? Which is no tricks. Your puny rock pales in comparison to the Great and Powerful Trixie!"

"It's obvious that she doesn't know what it is, Sunset," Charming Thunder said as he approached the two.

"I don't believe it," Sunset said. "You have no idea what I'm talking about."

"I... don't," Trixie said. "Sorry." Sunset groans and sits on the floor with her back against the lockers. "Did somebody really erase everyone's memories of you?" Sunset nodded. "And even though we all know you're the Biggest Meanie, you're saying you're not mean anymore?"

"It's complicated."

"So you have this idea of who you're supposed to be, but no one at school sees you that way. Is that it? Trust me. I get it."

"I can't believe the only person who believes me is the one I called a manipulative blowhard. Sorry."

"I took it as a compliment. Let me help you find the stone."

"What's in it for you?" Sunset and Charming Thunder then realized what she wants in return. "No way. Absolutely not!"

"Well, if you'd rather go on being the Biggest Meanie, that's fine by me." Sunset sighed in defeat.

"We'll do it," Charming Thunder said. "I'll grab Danny." Charming Thunder then ran off to look for Danny.

"So, where should we start...partner?" Sunset asked.

"How about with what I call you?" Trixie said. "I'm thinking the Great and Powerful Trixie's...Pretty Decent Assistant-Detective-Helper Person."

Chapter 4: The Investigation

View Online

Charming Thunder, Danny, Sunset, and Trixie sat at a table in the cafeteria as they looked around. "A cafeteria full of suspects, two detectives, and only one Memory Stone," Trixie said. "Seems impossible, but so does pulling a rabbit out of a hat, and I do that all the time. Let's talk motive. Who here hates you enough to erase everyone's good memories of you?"

"If you go back far enough... everyone," Sunset said. Trixie then writes the answer down.

"Known enemies: all." Charming Thunder sighed as she wrote it down.

"If the students fear Sunset Shimmer, then it is probably the work of the Dread Master," Danny said.

"I didn't sense anything in the students," Charming Thunder said as the group got up and left the cafeteria.

---------------------

The group opened the door to the nurse's office and saw Nurse Redheart and Bulk Biceps in the room. "G-G-Good afternoon, ladies and gents," she said. "Y-You feeling okay?"

"That depends on how well you answer my questions," Trixie said. "Has anyone come in complaining of memory problems in the last few weeks?"

"Not that I can recall..."

"You can't recall?" Trixie gasped and looked at Sunset and the others. "We're too late!"

---------------------

At the library, the group approached Micro Chips who was working on the computer. Micro turned in shock after seeing Sunset and took out a carrot in fear. "Will you accept a half-chewed carrot stick?" he asked. Charming Thunder rolled his eyes at the offer.

"What?" Sunset asked. "Ew! I told you I don't want your lunch money, and I definitely don't want your lunch." Trixie took the carrot and took a bite off of it.

"Speak for yourself," Trixie said. "Thanks. Word around school is you know a lot about erasing memory."

"I erased a ton of memory just this morning," Micro said.

"You did?!" Sunset asked.

"Four terabytes of quantel-accelerflex memory to be precise." Charming Thunder then face palmed and nodded in disbelief. "How come no one's ever impressed by that?"

---------------------

Maud was looking at he drawing of the stone as Sunset asked, "Is there anything you can tell us about it? Anything at all?"

"I can't tell much from a drawing," Maud replied.

"Okay."

The group was about to walk away but was stopped by Maud adding on to her answer, "Only that it's felsic-intrusive igneous, granular in texture, most likely arranged in an equigranular matrix, with scattered biotite mica and amphibole, at least sixty-five percent alkali feldspar by volume, with a melting point of twelve-fifty centigrade, plus or minus ten degrees." The group slowly backed away to leave. "Sorry I couldn't be more helpful."

---------------------

Trixie sat at a desk while Charming Thunder, Danny, and Sunset stood. "Sure, it seems like we've only come up with dead ends," Trixie said. "But I mean, it could be worse?" Charming Thunder and Sunset looked out the window and saw their friends. Charming Thunder only walked away as Sunset stayed to see them take their best friends photo. "What's with you, Charming?"

"It's complicated," Charming Thunder said.

"It's worse," Sunset said.

---------------------

Charming Thunder paced around in the yearbook room while Danny, Sunset, and Trixie looked at the picture that was taken by Twilight and the others. "Oh, stop looking at that," Trixie said. "You're just going to wind yourself up. You can't think if you're wound up. Oh, think, Trixie!"

"I wanted to come in here and see who we're missing," Sunset said. "But we've talked to everyone, A to Z."

"Wait. Not pictured: Wallflower Blush. Who's Wallflower?" This got Charming Thunder's attention and made him walk up to them.

"I'm right here, you know," Wallflower said.

"Uh, who are you?"

"Wallfower. I've known you since third grade."

"Ahh! I remember third grade. Not you specifically, but what a grade it was. The Great and Powerful Trixie debuted her disappearing frog trick. You know, a lot of people don't realize how much work goes into raising tadpoles. You really have to coddle them..." Sunset then saw her book glowing and opened it to read a message from Twilight as Charming Thunder and Danny rushed to look at it as Trixie trails off. They see a drawing of a rock formation as Sunset was confused and started to look around.

"How am I supposed to find a rock formation that looks...like...that rock formation?!" Sunset said as she looked at the image on the computer. "That'll work." Sunset then got up from her chair and walked up to Wallflower. "Can I ask a silly question, Wallflower? Where did you take that lovely photograph?"

"That's my garden," Wallflower said. "Well, the school's garden, technically. I'm the president of the Gardening Club. I founded it, too. I'm also the only member. And the only one who's ever been to the garden. Or seen it. Or even asked about it."

"You're not really into other people, huh?" Trixie asked.

"I was maybe going to add this picture somewhere in the yearbook. What do you think?"

"Sorry. Sunset doesn't let anyone put things in her yearbook. No matter how much they deserve them."

"No!" Sunset said. "You should do that, Wallflower. Uh, so don't let us keep you from working on it."

"What?! The Great and Powerful Trixie is...annoyed and insulted!" Now was Sunset's chance as Wallflower was typing on the computer. She grabbed her arm and began to see visions. Charming Thunder and Danny joined in to see what she is seeing.

---------------------

Wallflower was walking through the forest and found a good place for her gardening club at a strange rock formation. She digs with her small shovel and found a something in the ground. She opened it and found a stone with a carving on it wrapped with a piece of cloth with weird writings.

---------------------

The scene changed where Wallflower was in the yearbook room looking at one of the old yearbooks Applejack threw aside. She then sighed and said to herself, "Why should you notice me? After all, you're Sunset Shimmer. Everybody loves you now. Why can't they see you haven't changed?" She then remembered the stone she found and grabbed her bag to leave the room.

---------------------

The scene changed to Wallflower's garden where she took out the stone from her backpack.

---------------------

Sunset released Wallflower's arm and gasped. Charming Thunder took a step back in realization on what he just saw. "You made a deal with the Dread Master?" Charming Thunder said.

"You erased everyone's memories?" Sunset asked.

"Uh...yes," Wallflower said.

"Wait," Trixie said. "Who are you again?"

"But why, Wallflower?" Danny asked. "What have we ever done to you?"

"Everything! You never see me trying to fit in. It's like I am invisible to you guys." Sunset quietly grabbed Wallflower's bag and began to search it while Wallflower was distracted.

"You do realize that the Dread Master is an evil being from another world trying to destroy me," Charming Thunder said. "If you go down that path, there is no going back." Wallflower then noticed Sunset going through her bag.

"Hey! What are you doing?!" Wallflower grabbed her bag as Sunset fought over it.

"What did I do to you?!" Sunset asked. "Honestly, I don't even know you!"

"Exactly! You had everyone fooled, but now they know you're still...the Biggest Meanie!"

"You're about to see how mean I can get!" Charming Thunder and Danny tackled Sunset to stop her from what she was about to do.

"Let's not antagonize the person with the all-powerful mystery rock!" Trixie reassured.

"I don't like confrontation," Wallflower said as she took out the Memory Stone. "Let's just...forget this ever happened!" The stone then began to glow as Danny and Charming Thunder used the force to block their minds from the effects of the stone.

"Don't erase---" Sunset shouted, but it was too late. The room grew bright as Charming Thunder and the others closed their eyes. They then opened their eyes to see that Wallflower is gone.

"Huh?" Trixie said. "What was I saying? I'm sure it was something brilliant. Also, how is it already three o'clock?" Sunset tried to open the door, but it was locked. "Why won't this door open? And what are we even doing in here?"

"I...don't remember," Sunset said; all confused. Charming Thunder and Danny gasped as the situation just got more worse than they thought.

Chapter 5: Confronting the Dread Master

Sunset banged on the door as she cried for help. "Is anybody out there?" Sunset shouted. "Somebody open the door! If we don't get outta here and figure out who has the Stone, in a few hours, it'll be too late to restore everyone's memories. I'll lose my friends forever."

"You must remember something!!!" Charming Thunder said.

"How are we supposed to catch someone who can erase our memory every time we get close to catching them?" Trixie asked. Sunset placed a hand in one of her pockets and felt a piece of paper crumpled up.

"By being clever!" Charming Thunder and Sunset said in unison.

"What?"

"I wrote myself a note: Check the video. Yes! It's been recording this whole time!"

"Twilight's camera? What are you talking about?"

"I don't remember doing it, but I must have realized our memories would get erased, so I pressed record!" Sunset rewinded the video as Charming Thunder and Danny came to check the video.

"Clever girl," Danny said.

"Thank you."

"Who's that?"

"Wallflower Blush."

"Name's not ringing a bell." They continued to watch the video as Sunset and Trixie refreshed their memory. They saw the part when Sunset got tackled to the ground after she got angry. "She's kinda right about you."

"Yeah, thanks."

"Actually, the Wise and Moralizing Trixie was making a point. You said you didn't do anything."

"I didn't! I wasn't mean to her at all!"

"But maybe it's not good enough to not be mean to someone. Maybe you have to be nice."

"You're right. Not that it matters. I'm still trapped in here." Sunset sighed. "Unless you can magic us out of here."

"Oh, what's the point in trying? You've seen enough of my tricks to know what'll happen."

"I can't use my lightsaber to damage property," Charming Thunder said. "I would get in trouble for that."

"At least when the sun goes down and everyone hates me forever, I'll still have three friends in the morning."

"Huh?" Trixie said.

"And I mean, one of them is the Greatest and Powerfullest Canterlot High School has to offer, so I guess I can't complain."

"And don't forget me and Danny, Sunset," Charming Thunder said.

"You poor fool! You actually believed me when I was pretending to give up? Mere stage banter! The Great and Powerful Trixie never gives up on herself or her friends. I mean, her Pretty Decent Assistant-Detective-Helper People. Behold! The Magician's Exit!" Trixie threw down a smoke bomb and when the smoke cleared, Trixie was out of the room in the school hallway. "Yes! It worked! I finally did it!" Sunset knocked on the window of the door and Trixie realized that Sunset was still in there.

"We're still in here!" Trixie nervously laughed.

"Um...all part of the trick! Have you out in a jiffy!" Trixie threw down a smoke bomb and Sunset was out of the room this time. Trixie threw down another smoke bomb, but the result is still the same for every time the smoke bomb was thrown. Trixie then gave up when Sunset, Charming Thunder, and Danny were standing in the school hallway. "You know what? Just leave me and Charming in here! Just go!"

"I owe you one, Trixie! I will never forget this!"

"Never say never." Sunset, Danny, and Charming Thunder ran off through the hall so they can catch up to Wallflower and hopefully destroy the Memory Stone for good.

---------------------

Sunset, Danny, and Charming Thunder ran to the school parking lot in search of Wallflower who was leaving to her garden. Twilight and the others were also outside standing in the parking lot. Sunset shyly walked past them as Danny and Charming Thunder rushed ahead. "Wallflower, stop!" Sunset said.

"You remember my name?" Wallflower asked.

"We remember everything! The Memory Stone, how I acted, all of it!"

"What?! How?! I erased the whole afternoon!" This caught the attention of Twilight and the others.

"Listen. I used to be just like you. Sure, I was popular, but I was lonely."

"You're nothing like me, and I'm not lonely, because I have... plants!" Charming Thunder tilted his head in confusion as Danny crossed his arms. "That sounded less lonely in my head."

"I'm sorry, Wallflower."

"No, you're not. You're just trying to look good in front of your friends! And it's working! How am I supposed to get back at you if nothing I do matters?! I hate you!" Wallflower covered her mouth after what she said. Sunset gasped at the statement. "I wanted to teach you a lesson by erasing your friends' good memories of you." She then reached for the stone in her backpack. "But obviously that didn't work. But what if I erased all their memories of high school?" Charming Thunder's eyes widened.

"You can't! You'd be stealing their memories of each other!"

"They'll think of each other the way you think of me! Which is not at all!" Wallflower fired the stone at Twilight and the others, but Sunset jumped in the blast and it hit her instead of her friends.

"NO! I've ruined their friendship once before. I'd rather give up my own memories than let it happen again!" Strands of memories of her friends flew out of Sunset's forehead. "Fluttershy! No! Applejack! Rarity! Aah! Rainbow Dash! Pinkie Pie! Twilight! Don't forget me! Charming! Ahh! Danny!" Sunset then collapsed to the floor then woke up walking on her knees and her hands on the ground. "This isn't Canterlot. Where am I? Princess Celestia? What's happened to me? Somepony, help me!" Twilight walked up to Sunset. "Who are you?"

"We're your friends," Twilight said.

"We may not remember you," Applejack said.

"But after seeing what you did," Pinkie added.

"The sacrifice you made for us," Rarity added.

"We'd be proud to call you," Fluttershy added.

"Our friend," Danny and Charming Thunder said. Wallflower gasped as Charming Thunder and the others except Danny transformed into their hero forms.

"Wallflower!" Twilight said. "You have magic you do not understand! But it is nothing compared to the Magic of---!" Pinkie then butted in.

"Yeah, yeah, we get it," Pinkie said. "LIGHT HER UP, LADIES!!!" The seven then grabbed hands and fired a beam of magic towards the Memory Stone causing it to explode into pieces. The strands of memories returned to the rightful owners.

"Twilight...Sparkle?" Sunset asked.

"Sunset Shimmer!" Twilight said before she hugged Sunset as the others came to join in. "We're so sorry."

"I'm just glad to have you all back."

"It's not over yet," Charming Thunder said as he activated his lightsaber. Danny also activated his tonfa lightsabers and got into battle position as he and Charming Thunder encounter Bestia herself walking towards them.

"Birth," Bestia started. "Pain. Fear. Death. You live. You know pain. You have learned fear."

"I was wondering when you would show, Bestia," Danny said.

"Ah. I see that you are friends with another who wields a lightsaber."

"What do you really want, Bestia?" Charming Thunder demanded.

"Mephiles commanded me to kill you in this world. You pose a threat ever since the other Charming Thunder came here." Danny charged towards Bestia, but stopped when two more figures appeared out of the forest. "And I didn't come alone. Face it Charming. You are outnumbered."

"No. I am not alone. I have friends around every corner that will defeat you!" Charming Thunder then turned his head to look at Twilight with a smile. He then got into his battle position as Bestia's minions activated their lightsabers.

"Then death only remains!" Bestia activated her double bladed lightsaber as Charming Thunder charged at her. Danny charged at Bestia's minions and attacked one of them as the rest were being handled by Charming Thunder. He cuts one of them down as he made his way to Bestia. Bestia blocked some strikes against Charming Thunder while Danny was finished with his opponent. Twilight and the others took cover as the duel continued. Danny charged at Bestia, but was stopped when she fired lightning at him causing him to be pushed back from the fight. There Charming Thunder and Bestia are now at a standoff as they held their blades in their battle positions. Bestia charged at Charming Thunder, but he avoided the incoming strike and rolled away from the second one. They then got into their battle positions.

"You have failed, Bestia."

"I haven't yet. The war in the other will be over with the help of the other Dread Masters. And when I have killed you, it will be the practice to take down King Charming Thunder!"

"Amazing. Everything you have just said was wrong. The war rages on without you. And I will not be the only force user left." Bestia realized what he meant and turned to look at Danny who was slowly getting up and then at Twilight who was hiding behind the van.

"Maybe I'll destroy your precious friends as well." Charming Thunder deactivated his lightsaber.

"No. Strike them down in anger, and I will always stand my ground. Just like my friends." Charming Thunder smiled as Bestia gripped her lightsaber tightly. She then looked at Twilight who was coming out of hiding and started to charge at her with a strike ready for her. Charming Thunder turned to see her and rushed over to her and jumped in front of her causing Bestia to cut off his hand. Charming Thunder landed on the ground now with a cut off hand.

"NO!!!" Twilight shouted as she rushed over to him. Danny sneaks up behind Bestia without her knowing it while she approached the two.

"How precious. Two in a price of one. This must be my lucky day." When Bestia was about to strike with her lightsaber, Danny stabs her in the chest. "No..." He then brought the blade out of her chest as she looked at Charming Thunder who was smiling at her.

"See you round, Bestia," Charming Thunder said as Danny walked around to face Bestia with his lightsaber ignited.

"NO!!!" With Bestia's last words spoken, Danny slashes her in the chest killing her in the process. She then collapsed to the ground as Danny and the others rushed on over to Charming Thunder's side. He then used his cybernetic eye to fire a non lethal laser at the wound to ease the pain and stop the bleeding.

"He'll be alright," Danny said. "He just needs a new hand."

"You can help him?" Twilight asked.

"Of course. Just give me time with him." Twilight and the others got up and saw Wallflower sitting down with her back towards them.

"I'm so ashamed," Wallflower said. "When I first found the Memory Stone, I only erased little things; awkward hellos, saying the wrong thing, literally any public speaking..."

"I've had plenty of awkward moments I wish I could erase, too," Twilight said.

"But it's no excuse. I was so used to erasing memories that I got completely carried away. I'm sorry for everything."

"It's okay," Sunset said. "I'm sorry, too. I may have stopped being mean, but a Great and Powerful friend helped me realize I still wasn't very nice to you. Everyone matters, Wallflower. No matter how insignificant or invisible they feel." Sunset offered to help Wallflower and she took it and blushed then hugged Sunset.

---------------------

The next day, Charming Thunder was admiring his new cybernetic hand that was made for him by Danny. He then puts his glove over it and notices a delivery truck parking. Vice Principal Luna noticed it and said, "No student parking in the faculty lot." Sunset opened the back of the truck and opened the box to see a that the new yearbooks have finally arrived.

---------------------

A few hours later after handing out some yearbooks, Twilight and the others were hanging out at the broken statue. Charming Thunder walked towards the corner of the building of the school and saw a ghostly image of the pony version of himself smiling at him and nodded. Charming Thunder then bowed to him and smiled as the figure vanished. Twilight walked up next to him with a hand placed on his shoulder. He turned to see her with a smile and hugged her tightly. She then grabbed his hand and led him back to their friends to have some fun as they celebrate the new yearbook.
