The First Date

Another typical day at CHS. Nothing new, nothing special, but nothing awful. No one hated going to CHS (most of the time) it was a really good school. The staff were good at their jobs, any problems addressed they went to handle them right away, and the students were very friendly.

And it was so friendly that the students were a little open with whatever romantic relationships that they had. Not really something for them that bothered anyone much, but it was a nice atmosphere that they could be open about stuff.

As the bell for the next class ringed, everyone rushed out the doors and to their lockers to try and get their stuff for the next class. One of the students, Trixie Lulamoon, waited a few moments for everyone to get out first. The last few times she tried to reach her locker when the bell rung, she was trampled by everyone rushing out the doors. It was like running in the open spaces in Africa, and she would be the hunter to be trampled by the angry pack of rhinos.

Once the craziness died down a bit, she walked to her locker and opened it up. Time to get her things for next class, as well as take a short break. When she got her stuff out, she heard a voice call her name. Just down the hallway was one of her closest friends; Vinyl Scratch. Classy violinist, interior designer, and one of her best friends.

"Morning Trixie!"

"Good morning, Vinyl!" Trixie smiled.

Vinyl skipped down the hall, moving as close as possible to try and avoid the onslaught of people.

"You wanted to see me before class begun?"

"Huh? Oh yeah, I did. Um, I... I need your advice on something," Trixie stammered.

"Yeah? What kind?"

"Well, I..." Trixie sighed, "I didn't think about this before but... I haven't taken Adagio out on a real official first date. I mean, we're dating and all but... I haven't asked her out... officially."

Vinyl stopped.

"Oh... that kind of advice. Well, I'll try to be as helpful as I can. What do you need?"

"What I need is to know how I'm going to ask her out? I'm scared to do so, and I'm scared if I actually take her out, its going to be an embarrassing evening."

Vinyl chuckled. "Trixie, asking someone out isn't that hard."

"Actually, it kinda is," Trixie bluntly answered.

"Look, just don't try so hard. You just need to stay calm, cool, and collective. Just simply ask, 'would you like to go out with me tonight?' Simple, straight to the point, and you won't be trying so hard."

Trixie thought for a moment. "I suppose I could give it a try."

"You won't know until you do. Just remember, stay calm, cool, and collective. And don't try so hard!"

"I won't!"

The final bell rung, and everyone was heading out for the day. And in the hall, clear from running students, was Adagio Dazzle.

Trixie's breath was taken away from every look at her. The clean hair that was woven like ramen. The sparkle in her eyes that always made them look like diamonds. The curves on her figure making her look like an hourglass, and that face... oh that face. Trixie always believed Adagio had the most beautiful face in the entire school, and no one else could compare to hers.

With a deep breath, she walked up to the most beautiful girl, and spoke.

“Hey, Adagio. Can I talk to you for a moment? Alone?”

“Of course, sweetie,” Adagio replied with a smile so adorable.

Trixie breathed in and out. Now would be the time to ask.

“Listen, um…” Trixie stuttered, “I thought some more and, I kinda thought of something. We haven’t actually… like… gone out together yet. Like, officially. Like, uh... a first date, I mean.”

Adagio's eyebrows rose. “Oh… I never thought about that. You raise a fair point.”

Trixie chuckled. “Yeah… so… are you free tonight?”

A slow smirk crept on Adagio's face, “Yes. Yes I am.”

Trixie felt her hands start shaking. “G-Great. So… um… d-do you… um…”

“Trixie, do you want to go out with me tonight?” Adagio asked.

The little geek's heart dropped. “Wh… wh-what?”

Adagio giggled.

Trixie pursed her lips, rubbing the back of her neck. “Straight to it, huh?”

“You looked nervous, so I wanted to help out.”

Trixie's cheeks blushed. “Sorry.”

“Don’t be sorry,” Adagio said. “Just say yes.”

Trixie noticed the gleam in Adagio's eyes, nearly taking her breath away. How could she possibly say no to such a pretty face?

“Adagio… i-it... I... I'd love to,” Trixie said.

Adagio cheered and gave her girlfriend a big hug. “Oh, we’re gonna have so much fun!”

Adagio pulled her head back a little, giving her lover a prime opportunity to give her a big kiss. Trixie melted in her arms, along with her own heart. Knowing she could kiss Adagio whenever she wanted to filled her with such joy. She pulled back, and gazed into her gorgeous magenta eyes. It was unfair that one girl could be so beautiful.

“You know we're already dating, Trixie,” Adagio said. “Why were you so nervous before?”

Trixie blushed. “Well, I... I've never actually done this before. You're my first girlfriend and I... I wanna make this work.”

Adagio giggled. “Don’t worry about it, Trixie. Wanna know something? I have a feeling tonight is going to be amazing. Also... I think you're really cute when you’re shy.”

Trixie's face only went redder. “Really?”

“It’s the cutest thing ever,” Adagio smiled, kissing her burning cheek.

“Um… I-I don’t know what to say…” Trixie stammered.

Adagio giggled. “Come here, you,” she said, giving Trixie a kiss. Trixie didn’t mind one bit. Her lips were as sweet as candy, if not sweeter. They pulled away, and the two of them just held each other for a moment.

“Alright, well, if we're going out then I should probably get myself prepared,” Adagio said. “I need to pick out my outfit for tonight.”

“Um, you know, uh... I’d be perfectly fine if you just wore what you’re wearing now,” Trixie blushed, looking at the siren's outfit which hugged her entire body.

Adagio gave a seductive wink with a racy grin, swaying her hips at her girl. “Are you going to be dressing up?”

“Of course,” Trixie answered, “I have to. You don’t.”

“I’m dressing up, and you’re just gonna have to deal with it,” Adagio smirked, giving her a sassy smile.

Trixie laughed. “I guess if I have to…”

Adagio laughed and gave her another peck. "So, I'll see you tonight?"

"R-Right. Uh, see you tonight!" Trixie called, as Adagio and her sisters headed off.

Trixie went back to her locker to get her things, but the entire time, her mind was just pondering what Adagio was going to wear. She knew she liked attention, so was she going to wear something to catch an eye? Perhaps a dress? Something even better? What kind of makeup would she wear? Would she do her hair? The possibilities were endless for how Adagio would manage to make herself even prettier than she already is. Whatever would happen, she knew she would love it.

Tonight was going to be amazing.

The afternoon turned to dusk, and Trixie's date was growing near. Too near. She was starting to lose her mind and almost had a mild panic attack. Adagio would be here any minute, and she only had herself to try and calm down, as she was on her own date. All she could do was try taking deep breaths as she stood in front of the mirror, trying to finish brushing her hair, adjusting it back into its cute ponytail.

“Okay… calm down,” Trixie said, her hands holding onto the sink. “It’s Adagio Dazzle. You’ll be fine. After all, she's... themostbeautifulgirlintheentireschoolandyourehergirlfriend!” Trixie panicked. "No, no... stay calm. Just... stay calm. Its fine."

Suddenly the sound of the doorbell echoed through the home, making her jump into the air. She checked her makeup one last time. It wasn't perfect, but it would have to do. Adagio was out there waiting for her. Whether she liked it or not, she had to be ready right now.

She looked through the peephole first, and immediately felt happier when she saw that familiar orange hairdo of Adagio Dazzle. Trixie opened the door, and the absolute joy she had skyrocketed when she laid her eyes on the beauty incarnate standing before her. Adagio's hair was no different than it was normally, but the dress she wore was breathtaking. A sleeveless dress of sparkling purple with a neck-piece and bracelet, brought out by her flowing hair. She seemed to be wearing mascara too, because her eyes were somehow more gorgeous than they usually are. Trixie truly was standing before a goddess, and she wondered if she should be dropping to her knees and bowing before her.

“Adagio… y-you look amazing,” Trixie said.

Adagio giggled. “Thanks! And my my, Trixie... you are absolutely stunning.”

Trixie blushed, rubbing the back of her neck. She wore a white cocktail dress which hugged her body, just as much as Adagio's dress.

“R-R-Really?"

"Mmmhmm," Adagio smirked, looking to her girl. "You are looking incredibly sexy."

Trixie's face only went more red, making Adagio giggle. So adorable! Smirking, she pulled Trixie in for a passionate kiss, holding her close. Pulling out from the hug, Trixie graced Adagio's cheek, looking at the most beautiful face before her. Her eyes sparkled just looking at her.

“I know just where to go tonight,” Trixie smiled.

“Oh? Where?”

“You’ll see,” Trixie said.

Trixie led Adagio to her car and kindly opened up the door for her. She stepped inside and she closed the door. She moved over to the other side and sat in the driver seat. Trixie's hands gripped the steering wheel as she looked ahead. Adagio grinned back at her girlfriend as she started the engine. The car began to start up and she pulled the vehicle out of the parking spot and out onto the open road heading to the restaurant for their date.

Trixie and Adagio arrived, and Trixie (the one thing she did have planned in mind) purposely parked a little further away than necessary. Why? So she could walk with Adagio some more while holding her hand. It felt amazing to show everyone who walked past them that Adagio Dazzle, one of the most beautiful girls at Canterlot High, was hers. And no one else could have her. Having Adagio by her side was one of the few things that made that little geek confident.

They arrived at the diner, and Adagio gasped. They were walking right into a 1950s style of diner. Checkered floors, red seats, a jukebox, vinyl records, the whole deal. A song about uranium fever played through the jukebox, making it sound even more lively than it already was.

“Oh, Trixie... I love this place! How did you know?” Adagio smiled.

Trixie shrugged, “Call it a hunch.”

Trixie smiled and eagerly walked inside, followed by Adagio. They were quickly seated and helped by the waitstaff. After ordering their drinks, they took a moment to just marvel at their significant other. They were sparkling beauties in each other's eyes, and neither could explain just how.

"So... here we are," Trixie nervously chuckled.

"Yes, we are."

"So... uh... I'm so sorry, I don't know how--"

"Shh..." Adagio stroked her cheek. "Its okay. I'll admit, I'm a little nervous as well. I haven't been on a real date in a long time."

"I thought people loved you back in those thousands of years?"

"Yes, but no one liked me for who I was. I got the message on a few certain people that they just liked me for my body, but you... you my beautiful girl," Adagio smiled, brushing her cheek, "I know you love me for much more than that."

Trixie giggled. "Yeah... But uh, okay, if I can do this right..." Trixie cleared her throat. "So, Adagio..."

Adagio giggled.

"So, I understand you're an immortal Siren from another world... how is that like?" Trixie asked.

Adagio just laughed even more from her tone. "Well, its not too different from being a human in this world. Only difference is, well, seeing how this entire world evolves around you for over a 1000 years."

Trixie nodded. "I see. But still, what was that like, living in all of those different times?"

"Outside of the eras of which we were forced to engage in war... nothing really was different, at least to me it wasn't."

"Well that's good," Trixie nodded.

The waiter soon came by and gave them their drinks. Then once they received their drinks, the waiter walked away with the rest of their orders.

"So, um, Adagio, if you don't mind me asking... how come you like me?"

"What do you mean, sweetie?" Adagio asked.

"I mean, like... what is it about me that you like so much?"

Adagio giggled, running her hand up Trixie's arm with a sexy smile. “Well, I like you because I think you’re very sweet. I find your shyness and your happiness adorable. Your singing is phenomenal, and if I can blunt... I think you are the most beautiful, most sexy girl I had ever laid my eyes on...”

“Y-You really think that?” Trixie blushed.

“Of course, sweetheart," Adagio smiled, stroking her cheek. “Why are you asking?”

"Well, I... I don't know, I guess... I guess I don't feel like I deserve you. I mean, you're out of my league and I just... I just think I'm not worthy enough to be your girlfriend."

Adagio frowned. "Sweetheart? Can you look at me?” She lifted her chin up, forcing her to look at her. She stroked her cheek, making her blush and smile from the feeling before offering a tender smile; the warmest she could muster.

“Trixie... I wish I could understand how that feels. But I'm saying this now... I think you're worthy. You love me for me, and that's all that matters. A woman who respects me for who I am, and not for who she wants me to be.”

Trixie's eyes went wide with a smile.

“R-Really?”

Adagio nodded, leaning over to give her a peck. “I do."

Trixie smiled even wider, making Adagio giggle. Her orange hand stroked Trixie's cheek some more. The way that she leaned into her hand was just downright adorable.

“You know something, Trixie... if we weren’t in the middle of a restaurant right now, I would be taking you up onto this table and I would be giving you the biggest kiss ever.”

Trixie's face only went more red, making Adagio laugh.

"You really like teasing people, huh?" Trixie blushed.

"I do," Adagio winked. "But if I could perhaps change the subject?"

"Oh, of course," Trixie nodded.

Adagio smiled, holding her hands. "I understand you had interest in magician acts and performing. id you have any interest in perhaps coming back out and performing again?"

Trixie's shoulders slumped. "I don't know... I mean, I could but... I guess I've still got a little bit of stage fright."

"Maybe you need some practice. I could be your audience, practice in front of me. Maybe after you get comfortable, we could work your way up to having more people be your audience."

Trixie smiled a bit. "I guess I would like that."

Adagio smiled back, a small coo escaping her lips.

"But please, tell me, surely you must have some hobbies. Is there anything you like to do other than performing?" Adagio asked.

"Oh, I do. As you can probably guess, I'm a bit of a geek," Trixie stuttered, "I do like superhero movies, comic books, Legos, acting... You're probably thinking I'm the biggest geek right now, don't you?"

Adagio shook her head. "No, I don't. Trixie, I'm just as guilty as you are. You don't know how many comics my sisters and I collected over the years."

"I'm sure its not--"

"How about every Dr. Doom issue still in mint condition, along with half of his original issues still contained in plastic?" Adagio raised a brow, smirking.

Trixie blinked. "Sounds like me."

Adagio giggled.

"Oh, can you excuse me for a second, I just need to take care of something," Trixie asked.

"Of course."

Trixie got out of the booth, headed towards the bathroom. Adagio just sat, taking a sip of her sweet fizzy drink. And it tasted absolutely delicious. As the jukebox changed its song, Adagio tapped her fingers to the beat of the song.

The warden threw a party in the county jail
The prison band was there and they began to wail
The band was jumping and the joint began to swing
You should've heard those knocked out jailbirds sing

Adagio's head slowly bobbed to the beat, accompanied by her eyes closed and with a smile on her face. Such sweet music to her ears. Her eyes opened up when she heard the sound of footsteps approaching her table. But it wasn't their waiter. Instead, there was a teenage boy with black spiked hair and a pair of sunshades covering his eyes.

"Hey."

Adagio smirked, raising a brow. "Hello to you too."

"What's a pretty gal like you doing here all by yourself?"

"Oh, I'm not alone."

The boy looked around, trying to see where her date went.

"I don't see him here."

Adagio giggled. "Oh, I'm sorry, my date's not one of you boys."

"What do you mean by that?"

Adagio turned her head to Trixie who walked out of the bathroom, a smug look on her face.

"And there she is now," Adagio grinned.

The boy's face drooped, and his jaw dropped.

"Oh, oh dear, oh, I'm very sorry, I thought you were--"

Adagio chuckled. "No harm done here. But I'm sorry, I'm not available."

"No, no, that's cool. I shouldn't have intruded. Hope you have a wonderful date," The boy said, trying to get as far away from Adagio's table as fast as he could. Definitely didn't take her date being a girl into the equation.

Trixie sat back down with a concerned look.

"Who was that guy? Was he trying to hit on you, was he trying to take you away?" Trixie asked with worry.

"Trixie, sweetie, its okay. He was just some misguided boy, that's all," Adagio said, patting her hand.

"Well... okay. But I swear, if he's--"

"Trixie."

Trixie looked deep into Adagio's magenta eyes. Such beauty, her eyes were. It was like looking into sparkling diamonds. And that smile? Oh that smile just made it even more better.

"I am all yours. You don't need to worry about any other boy, or girl. Okay?"

Trixie sighed. "Alright. Sorry, I get really defensive sometimes."

"Its alright."

Adagio stroked her cheek again, and she leaned in to give her a kiss. Trixie leaned in as well, both girls giving each other a big kiss on their lips.

"Ahem!"

The couple was jolted out of their trance by their waiter standing next to them with their food. They blushed profusely, but the waiter just laughed before handing them their respective dishes. And the evening carried on, with Trixie enjoying her meal, including feeding Adagio some of her food. Just a simple evening of smiles, flirting, talking, and laughing with Adagio Dazzle. What could be better?

Night had fallen by the time Adagio and Trixie arrived at Adagio's apartment complex. The couple stood by Trixie’s car before saying farewell for the night, holding each other and looking into their significant other’s eyes.

“Trixie, I had an amazing time tonight,” Adagio smiled.

“I did too,” Trixie smiled back. "I'm really glad I got to finally take you out tonight. So... how would you say the date was?"

Adagio nuzzled Trixie's cheek. "Best date I have gone on in a really long time."

"R-Really?"

"Mmmhmm."

Trixie beamed inside, as shown by her adorable smile growing wider.

"And you know Trixie? I really enjoyed tonight. We should do this again," Adagio said, before let out a mighty yawn, causing Trixie to yawn as well. “It’s getting late. I should head back to my apartment, and you should be heading back home."

“I agree,” Trixie said. “Good night, Adagio.”

“Good night, my beautiful magician,” Adagio cooed.

Before they let each other go, they shared a long, passionate kiss. At the end of it, Adagio gave her little geek a sexy wink before walking inside the main foyer. She walked up to the front door, but turned back to take one more look at Adagio. She'd might have to ask Trixie to wear that dress again on a future date. So cute!

Her car went out of sight, and she immediately missed her a little. But one thing was for sure after tonight: Adagio hadn't felt this happy in a long time.
