(READ AUTHORS NOTE!!!) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The events take place during season 4 In The Human World.... Drake was crying. He was crying his little eyes out, hoping that the pain he was going through would end soon, but to his dismay, it wasn't coming to any sort of end soon. "Yeah, you like that?!" The voice of his father shouted, as Drake whimpered in the corner, hopeless to do anything against his father. He was only five, and yet, he wasn't enjoying the joy of having a good childhood. Instead, he was always beaten and forgotten, like that gum wrapper you throw in the trash, and never think about again. "Daddy.... Please stop......" Drake whimpered, but his only award was another hit from his belt. "Shut up! You're the reason that your mother died! You killed her, because you decided to exist in the first place, that is how much of a screw up you are!" His father shouted, slamming the belt down once again, hitting Drake with a lot of force, causing him to fall back, and cough out a little blood. "I'm..... Sorry....." Drake said, weakly. His father growled, as he walked into the kitchen, to get Drakes next punishment. As he was in the kitchen, Drake got up, without a lot of energy in his body, he weakly went to the front door. "Where the hell do you think your going off too?" His father asked. Drake turned around, and saw a empty beer bottle in his fathers hand. Before he could do anything, he felt the bottle make contact with his face, causing him to fall back. He tried to get up once again, but he felt himself being forcefully pulled up. "Go to your room, you little shit, and don't even think about coming out, or you'll be sorry....." His father let him go, and Drake made his way to his room, slowly, and weakly. When he got into his room, he sat on his mattress. He looked out his broken window, and made one single wish. "Please..... Please let me be with a mommy again...." He said, looking down at his hands, letting a single tear fall from his eyes. "Please...." Back In Equestria..... Rainbow Dash was speeding through the air, like she did on most days. She enjoyed the wind going through her mane, she enjoyed the adrenaline from going so fast, she enjoyed just about every aspect there was for flying. "This is great." Rainbow Dash said. "I don't have any more weather patrol, I can do whatever I want to-" She was cut off, by the familiar voice of Twilight. "Rainbow Dash!" She shouted, causing Rainbow to put on her brakes, nearly causing her to crash in a cloud. She looked down at Twilight, with an annoyed look. "What Twilight? This better be important!" Rainbow said, flying down to where Twilight was. "It is, Rainbow. Do you remember that time I had to travel through a mirror, to go get my crown from the human world?" Twilight asked. Rainbow did remember that, she even remembered when Twilight said, "Hands" and she had no idea what it meant. "Um.... Yes, why do you ask?" Rainbow asked, with a curious look. "Well," Twilight pulled out what seemed to be a piece of paper. "This spell lets us go to another human world like that one, except this one is different in many ways." Rainbow went into thought. "So..... Your going to another version of the world you went to?" Rainbow asked, rubbing her head. Twilight nodded. "Yes, but in order for it to work, we need six ponies or more..." Twilights voice trailed off, not really wanting to be rude to Rainbow. She, however caught onto this, and smiled. "Sure, I would love to go with you to this, weird human world." Rainbow Dash put her hoof to her chin in thought. "I wonder what it will be like to be a human..." "In this world, you don't get changed into a human when you go through, you stay pony, I think." Twilight said. "Awww, oh well, still I would like to go." Rainbow said. Twilight giggled. "Great! We just need our other friends for this to work." Twilight said, and Rainbow nodded. "Well then, let's get......." Rainbow's voice trailed off, as she suddenly felt something was wrong. Something really bad, in fact. "Rainbow? Are you okay?" Twilight asked, causing her to snap out of her little trance. "Oh, yeah, I'm fine, just got a feeling about something, that's all." Rainbow said, with a smile. Twilight gave her a suspicious look, but soon shrugged it off, as it just because Rainbow was Rainbow. "Alright, whatever you say." Twilight stated, as they left to find their other friends. Rainbow Dash, along with her friends, we're all gathered in a opened field. Each of them had a look of curiosity. "Darling, how will we get to this, "Human World" again?" Rarity asked, and Twilight walked up to her. "All we have to do, is use this spell, and then we should be there, is everypony ready?" Twilight asked, and her friends all gave her a nod of approval. "Alright, lets use the spell then." As she said this, her horn glowed with a bright purple light surrounded them, as they all turned into nothing but a white light, as they slowly vanished into thin air. In The Human World..... Rainbow Dash, began to slowly wake up. Rainbow Dash sat up, and rubbed her head. "Ow, what happened?" Rainbow Dash asked, as she looked around the area she found herself in. "Where is this place?" It seemed like some sort of park, that was empty, with no one around at all. "Hello? Is anypony out there?" Rainbow called out, but the only response she got, was the silence. "Where did my friends go?" Rainbow asked herself. Everything around her seemed so much different. The building were built differently, there were these black paved things outside of the park that had a yellow line shooting down the middle of them. "Maybe I can find somepony to help me, I hope." Rainbow said to herself, as she began to make her way out of the park. As she walked out, she saw a figure, who was holding something by its ear area. Rainbow walked up to him, slowly. "No, I already told you not to do that, but you never listen to me!" The man shouted. Rainbow hesitantly taped his back. "Excuse me, sir, I'm a bit.." Rainbow was cut off, when the man turned around, and gasped. "Are.... You a talking pony?" He asked. "Yes, I am, my name is Rainbow Dash, and I'm the fastest flyer in all of equestria." Rainbow said, doing a small pose. "Oh my god! Its a actual talking pony!" The man shouted, grabbing the attention of the other people around him. The all walked up to her, shocked and surprised that she was there. That's when Rainbow became a little uncomfortable. "I'm a talking pony, so what?" Rainbow asked, and they all began to run up to her, with their phones out, taking pictures. Rainbow backed up a bit. "Stay back! Get away from me!" Rainbow shouted, as she began to fly off in the opposite direction then them. As she flew, she looked for a safe place to hid, from the ever growing mob of people. She soon found an ally way, that seemed like no one was in. She quickly flew in it, and hid behind a dumpster. "I.... I think I lost them....." Rainbow said. Her thoughts were soon interrupted, when she heard the sound of something. It was crying. She wasn't sure if she should try to find out what exactly was crying, or just fly off. Something inside her told her to check out what the crying was, and where it was coming from. "Hello? Is somepony there?" Rainbow asked to who ever was crying. The crying got a little more quit, but not by a lot. "W-who's there?" The tiny voice asked. Rainbow could tell that the voice feared her. She wasn't really that great with these types of situations. "Hey, I'm not going to hurt you kid." Rainbow said, trying to sound reassuringly. "I'm friendly." She heard some shuffling coming from somewhere in the ally. She then saw the tiny figure of a human child walk out of the darkened ally. Rainbow was shocked to see that he was in such poor conditions. "Are..... You a p-pony...?" He asked, with some unsureness in his voice. "Yeah." Rainbow Dash said. "My name is Rainbow Dash, and I'm the fastest flyer in all of equestria, do you have a name?" The boy nodded. "Yeah.... My name is Drake..." Drake said. Now that Rainbow knew his name, she wanted to know why he was out in the ally all alone. "Kid..... Why aren't you with your parents?" Rainbow asked. Drake cringed at the thought. "Well, I live with me dad, but he.... he isn't very nice to me." Drake said. Instantly, Rainbow began getting bad vibes from this. "What do you mean, by "Not nice?" Rainbow questioned. "He's just really mean sometimes, I guess." Drake said. "How can you talk?" Rainbow chuckled a bit at the question. "Where I'm from, almost everypony can talk." Rainbow said. "I'm trying to find my other friends that came with me here, but I had no such luck yet." Drake thought about something. "Maybe.... If you want..... You can come stay with me at my house, if that's okay with you." Drake said. rainbow thought about it. It has to be better than being out in the cold, right? Rainbow thought to herself, as she looked back at the child. "Sure, we can crash at your place, until I have to leave to find my friends." Rainbow said. Drake smiled at her. "Okay..... My house is this way..." He said, pointing in that direction. They began to walk to the house. This kid says his dad's mean to him.... He couldn't possibly mean abusive, can he...? Rainbow asked herself in her thoughts, as they made their way down the road. > Chapter 1: Saving Him > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Saving Him "So..... This is your house?" Rainbow asked, looking up at the place Drake said he lived at. The house looked old, dirty, had a lot of broken windows. The house barley looked like it was in any condition to live in at all. "Yeah.... It's really not that great." Drake admitted. This made Rainbow Dash even more suspicious. A dad that isn't too nice, living in a house like this...... There is something going on, I'm going to find out what. Rainbow thought to herself. She looked down at Drake, who was trying to get the door opened. Rainbow didn't know why, but she felt like she needed to protect this child somehow. I wonder if he would like to come back to Equestria.... Rainbow thought to herself, before quickly shaking those thoughts away. No, he has a father here........ But with this house, I'm just not that sure. Her thoughts where interrupted, when she heard the sound of the door clicking open. "Finally, sometimes this thing doesn't want to open...." Drake said, as he looked at the door, with an annoyed look. Rainbow hovered next to him. "Are you sure it's alright if I stay here, kid?" Rainbow asked, and Drake nodded. "Of course it is, I just hope my dad doesn't mind." Drake replied, as they both walked into the house. The actual walk to the house, was not an easy task. Rainbow had to find certain places to hind, due to all of the humans walking around. She would have to sometimes go behind a trash can, or go up into the sky. "Wow...." Was all that Rainbow could manage. The house was a complete wreak. Beer bottles were scattered all over the place, the furniture was broken, there was broken glass on the floor, along with a frame of a picture. She picked up the picture, and saw a man, with a girl. They both looked happy. "Are these your parents?" Rainbow asked, and Drake nodded. "Yeah, that's when my dad was happy..." Drake said. He remembered the other night. He had killed his mom. He didn't mean to, but because she was not strong enough to go through birth, she died soon after having the child. "Kid, is it just you and your dad....?" Rainbow asked, already knowing the answer. "Yeah, why do you ask?" Drake asked, and Rainbow shrugged. "Just curious, I guess." Rainbow replied. Her stomach then let out a small growl, indicating that she was hungry, and needed food. Rainbow blushed with embarrassment. "Sorry, I guess I'm a little hungry." Drake nodded. "Want me to make you mac and cheese?" Drake asked, and Rainbow gave him a confused look. "I've never heard of it before." Rainbow Dash said. "Well, I can make some for you, if you want...." Drake said, with a warm smile. Rainbow thought about it. She was hungry. It might be good for her. "Sure, kid." Rainbow said simply. Drake smiled, as he went into the kitchen, and got out the small bowl of Mac and Cheese. He didn't have the box kind, he only had the bowl kind. He pilled off the wrapper that was on top, pulled out the wrapped cheese powder that was in there, and poured water into the bowl. He put it in the oven for three minutes. Once it was done, he poured the cheese powder into the water, and began to stir it with a spoon. Once done, he grabbed the bowl, and brought it over to Rainbow, who was now sitting at the kitchen table. She stared at him, with shock in her eyes. He was really good at cooking. "Wow, this looks good." Rainbow commented, as she stared to the cheesy noddle's . Drake handed her a spoon, and she took it with ease. She made her first dip into the noddle's, and pulled it out with a handful of them in it. She took the spoon, and put it in her mouth. She felt the noddle's, mixed with the cheese in her mouth. It was one of the best things she had ever tasted. "Kid, this is one of the most awesome things I have ever eaten!" Rainbow said, with a huge smile present on her face. "I'm really glad you like it." Drake said, with another smile. Dash took another bite, then another, then another, until it was all gone. Rainbow looked down at her chest, and saw she had gotten some on herself. "Sorry, I guess I've gotten some on myself." Rainbow said, with an embarrassed smile. "Do you have a restroom that I can use?" Drake nodded, and pointed to the third door on the right. "Thanks." Rainbow said, as she dashed off to the door. Once she was inside she was shocked. The bathroom wasn't a complete mess, in fact, it was really clean. "Wow, this is a..." Rainbows voice trailed off, once she looked at the mirror. There was a giant crack in it, with some dry blood on it. Rainbow let out a little gasp, before having a determined look on her face. "I'm going to have a little "Talk" with Drakes father." Rainbow said. Meanwhile, Drake was waiting in the kitchen, when he heard a noise that he feared everyday. His dad's pickup truck. He looked at the door, with horror in his eyes, as his father burst the door open. Rainbow heard the burst, and looked at the source. She couldn't see it, but she could tell that it was a door being forced open by someone. "There you are..." The voice of a middle aged male said. "Dad...." Drake said, before Rainbow heard a sudden smack, and a thud. Rainbow opened the bathroom door, and saw Drake's father on top of him. "You know, I haven't had a good time since your mother died...." He said. He then put his hands in Drakes pants, and Rainbow knew exactly what he was trying to do. "HEY!" She shouted, grabbing his attention. He didn't have time to react, as he was suddenly punched square in the face by Rainbow. He fell back, with shock clear on his face. He looked up, and saw a not so happy looking Rainbow. "What the-" He didn't have time to finish, as he was punched again, making him fall back once more. "You sick disgust! How could you do that to your own son?!" Rainbow asked, looking at him, with a glare saying that she would have no problem killing him there. As she got closer, Drakes dad became more panicked. He looked at the small table that was next to him, and saw the plate that he left there the previous night. He picked it up, and smashed it against Rainbows head. She fell back, with pain emanating from the side of her head. Drakes father got on her, and began to choke her. Rainbow, still stunned by the plate, couldn't do anything about it. Drake saw this, and looked at the kitchen table. He only saw one thing that was useful. A small kitchen knife. "I don't care if your a talking pony, I will still kill you!" Drake father said. Rainbow was getting some of her strength back, but suddenly, she heard a noise, and felt his grip loosen. She looked up, and saw a look of horror, and pain on his face. Rainbow then noticed that Drake was behind him, and she noticed the knife in his hands. His father fell back, as the injury to his lower back caused great pain. However, that did not stop from trying to get up again. Rainbow, knowing that she had to get out of there, quickly went up to Drake. "Kid, get on my back." She said. Drake did as she said, and got on her back, as she flew out of the house, Drake still had the knife he used to stab his father with > Chapter 2 (Author's note) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rainbow was flying quickly through the air. While she was flying at a fast pace, she wasn't flying so fast that Drake had a trouble time holding on. There where a lot of things that where going through Rainbow's mind. She truly couldn't believe what she had just witnessed. A father, who was supposed to be their for their child, someone who would always protect them, and chase away the monsters of the night. But his father was the monster. Not only that, but this monster, had forced it's son to attack him with the knife. Rainbow didn't truly know whether she should be horrified, or angry. How could Drakes father do that to somepony so young? Even if he isn't a pony. Rainbow thought to herself, as some other thoughts came rushing in like a river. Drake..... He had to.... Actually stab his father. Nopony should ever go through something like that, or have to do something like that... Rainbow really hated to be sappy, but this time, she really did feel like she could let out some of her tears, without the fear of being called out for it. Meanwhile on her back, Drake was going through something similar. He too couldn't believe what he done to his own father. Why.....? Why did I have to do that? Drake asked himself, as he felt his tears threaten to escape from his eyes. I don't have anyone anymore, I'm all alone....... Alone, as a monster. He couldn't hold back his tears anymore, as they slowly dripped from his eyes. Most of them were lost in the rain, however, some of them fell onto the cyan fur of Rainbow dash. She looked back at him, at first with a confused look, but she felt her heart ache at the sight of him letting all of his tears out. She could feel all of the pain that he had emanating off of him. Rainbow, now slowing her pace to a slow, looked back at Drake. "Kid, are you okay?" Rainbow asked. Of course he isn't, he could have just killed his dad, he's probably feeling horrible, or something. I don't know, I'm not good at this. Drake looked at her, still with tears in his eyes, and a quivering lip. "N-no, I'm not -okay...." He replied, causing Rainbow's heart to sting once more. "What.... What have I done?" Rainbow looked down, to find a place to land. She was flying over a forest, that had long pine trees. She slowly made her way back down to the ground, and once she was back down, she let Drake off carefully. "Kid, I want you to listen to me." Rainbow said, with the best comfort she could muster, but she still wasn't good with this type of stuff. Drake looked up, whipping what tears he had left in his eyes. "What you did back there..... Is something nopony from Equestria has ever done., and is something nopony should ever have to go through." Rainbow started. "But your dad was evil, and there might of not been another way.... I don't blame you for what you did, kid." Drake looked up at her, with a small, sad smile. "Thanks, Rainbow Dash." He said. Rainbow gave him a warm, yet cocky smile. "Come on, it's going to get dark soon, we should start a campfire." Rainbow said, and Drake nodded in agreement. They walked further into the woods, and they were quickly loosing daylight, as they gathered the martials that they needed. They found a small, nice little place to set up the campfire at. "Hey kid, you don't happen to have anything we could use to light this, would you?" Rainbow asked, as she then saw Drake pulling something out of his pocket. It was this weird rectangular shape, with what seemed to be some sort of metal on the top. "What's that?" Suddenly, Drake began to make it flicker, as a small flame came out. Rainbow stared there, in shock, at how he just made the flame come just like that. "How..... How did you do that?" Rainbow asked, with a curious voice. Drake looked down at the lighter. "It was something my dad said I always had to carry, otherwise...." Drake couldn't finish his sentence, as he remembered what happened that day. Flashback.... "Listen here, you little waste of air!" Drakes father said, while holding a beer bottle. He could barley even stand up he was so drunk. "Yes...... Dad? Drake said, with a timid voice, that was mixed with fear. Suddenly, he felt something tap against the front of his feet. He looked down, and saw a lighter, but he didn't move. "Pick it up, dammit!" His dad shouted, as Drake did just that. He looked at it, with a look of uncertainty plastered all over his young face. "Why do I need this?" Drake asked, and his father just laughed at him. "Because, your going to set things on fire for me." His father said, with a simple, yet evil tone. Drake had a shocked look. "But in school.... They said that fire was-" He was cut off when he felt the blunt part of the beer battle that his dad had make it's contact with the side of his cheek. He feel to the ground, as he coughed, a lot. "You better do as I say, otherwise I'll do that again, do you understand, you worthless, stupid killer of a child?!" His father shouted, and Drake just nodded his head. "No wonder I drink with a son like this...." Was the last thing his father said, before walking off, leaving Drake all alone. End of flashback... "Kid... Are you alright?" The voice of Rainbow asked, causing Drake to snap out of his little episode. "Yeah, I'm fine, just thought of something, that's all." He replied. He looked at the pile of wood that he and Rainbow made, that was surrounded by some rocks, to keep the fire from spreading. He slowly bent down to the fire place, and began to lit it with his lighter. Soon, the wood was set aflame, as the small pile of wood became the little campfire that he and Rainbow would sit around. Rainbow looked at him, as he looked into the flames. It seemed like he was just under some sort of mind control as he did so. He wasn't moving a muscle, all he was doing, was staring into the flames. A thought came to Rainbow. He's all alone. He probably doesn't even know his other family, if he has one at that. Where will he go after we're all sent back to Equestria? That's when it clicked in her head. Maybe.... Twilight will let me take him back to Equestria, since he has no where else to go, and he can even stay with me. Rainbow shook her head slightly. Wait, hold on, what about being a Wonderbolt? That has always been my dream. Sure, he might still be able to come to Equestria, but who would he stay with? Would he even be able to stay with me? I live in a cloud house, and I don't think that he can walk on clouds.. She then looked back at Drake. He's all alone, though. Even if I'm the one who can't take care of him, I will be the one to get him back to where he can truly be happy at, Equestria. "Hey kid, can I ask you something?" Rainbow asked, finally getting Drakes attention away from the fire. "Sure, what is it?" He asked back. "Well, I was wondering..... If you wanted to come back to Equestria with me ..." Rainbow said, and Drake gave her a curious look. "The place where you live at?" Drake asked, and Rainbow nodded. "Yeah, that's the place, and I think you would be happier there than here." Rainbow said. Drake put his hand up to his chin in thought. He didn't really have anything else to live for in this world, but in Equestria, maybe he could have someone to be there for him. Maybe..... It was just a thought, after all. "That would be cool." Drake said, with a smile. Rainbow returned it, before looking at the fire. "I would have to ask my friend, Twilight first though, but knowing her, she would have to say yes." Rainbow said, as she looked back at Drake. "We should get some sleep, my friends are still out there, and I need to find them." Drake looked at her, with a nervous glance. "Are your friends nice?" He asked, and Rainbow nodded. "Of course they're nice, they might be some of the nicest ponies you-" She was cut off, when she heard another voice, that didn't belong to either of them. "Dashie?" The voice asked. Rainbow recognized it as the childish nickname that Pinkie had given her, and the voice sounded just like her. "Pinkie? Is that you?" Rainbow Dash asked, with a hopeful voice. Suddenly, something rushed through the air, with full speed. The thing that rushed through the air, was a certain pink bouncing party pony. Pinkie rushed towards Rainbow Dash, and tackled her to the ground, while also pulling her into a tight hug. "DASHIE! THANKCELESTIATHATIFOUNDYOUIWASSOWORRIEDITHOUGHTSOEMTHINGBADHADHAPPENEDBUTNOTHINGBADDIDHAPENAND-" "PINKIE!" Rainbow Dash shouted, causing the earth pony to stop her little rant. "It's glad to see you too, but can you please slow down?!" Pinkie nodded her head furiously. "Okay! I can slow down! See?" Pinkie said, and with that, she instantly calmed down. "Thank you, Pinkie." Rainbow Dash said, a small smile forming on her face. "It's good to see you too." Drake, who was now standing, was just staring at them, with curiosity in his eyes. "Who's that?" Drake asked, pointing a finger at the pink mare, who was surprisingly staying still, until she noticed that Drake was there. "Heya there, little cutie!" Pinkie said, bouncing over to him. "My name is Pinkie Pie, what's yours?" Drake took a few steps back, with uncertainty. "Dr....Drake......" He said, with a bit of a gulp. "Heya Drake! My name is Pinkie Pie! Wait, I already said that!" Pinkie said, not being able to control her giggles. Rainbow hovered over to them, with a slight, yet worried look on her face. "Pinkie! I need to talk to you, in private for a minute..." Rainbow said, giving her a serious look. "Okie Dokie Lookie!" She said, as she and Rainbow walked out of hearing distance from Drake, while still keeping her eye on him. "Pinkie, I need to tell you something that is very important, alright?" Rainbow said, and pinkie nodded. "Alright! Go on and tell me!" Pinkie said, bouncing up and down in the air. "Drake, right now, is homeless." Rainbow Dash said, causing the pink mare in front of her to grow a face of shock. "WHAT?!" Pinkie shouted, causing Drake to look at them, with a confused look upon his face. He was still at the fire, and yet he still heard Pinkie from a mile away. Rainbow quickly placed her hoof over Pinkie's mouth, and looked at him, with a nervous smile. As soon as Drake returned to glaring at the fire place, Rainbow looked back at Pinkie. "I'm going to remove my hoof from your mouth, but you cannot shout again, understand?" Rainbow asked, and Pinkie nodded her head. Rainbow removed her hoof, and Pinkie gave her a look of concern and worry. "What do you mean he's homeless?" Pinkie asked, as she looked back at Drake, before turning back to Rainbow. "Is that the reason he's with you?" Rainbow nodded. "Yes, that's the reason, but that's not even the worst part about this." Rainbow said. "What is, then?" pinkie asked. "The worst part is that his father was.... Hurting him, in many ways." Rainbow said. Pinkie was wearing a stunned expression. "His father, was hurting him?" Pinkie asked, and Rainbow once again nodded. "He probably doesn't want to talk about it, but I saved him from his father." Rainbow said. "Wait, you saved him, what happened?" Pinkie asked. Though, she was usually bouncy and had a bubbly personality, she was serious when she needed to be. "His father was about to do something horrible to him, so I went in to stop him, and when I did, he SOMEHOW got the upper hoof on me, and starting chocking me." Rainbow started. "Then, Drake got a knife, and.... Well, I think you got the rest..." Pinkie was stunned, as she looked back at Drake. "I feel so bad for the little guy, maybe I'll make him a cupcake." Pinkie said, with a small smile. Rainbow sighed. "I'm pretty sure that Drake see's himself as a monster right now." Rainbow said, only letting a single tear drop from her eye. "I know he's not, though. He was just forced to do something bad, and..... Well I can't really blame him for what he did." Pinkie put a hoof on her friend. "I'm so sorry to hear that about the little guy, but I don't think he's a monster either." Pinkie said, as she soften her look. "I know you want to bring him back to Equestria, right?" "Yeah. how did you know?" Rainbow asked. "Well duh, your the element of loyalty, you would never leave a colt that had nopony alone, and besides, you already brought him with you." Pinkie said, with a smile. I hope that we can bring him back too." She felt herself in the embrace of Rainbow Dash. "Thanks Pinkie." She said, as she then gave her friend a serious look. "But don't think about telling anypony else that I was sappy, alright?" Pinkie nodded. "Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" Pinkie said, as she did all the steps for the pinkie promise, Rainbow gave her friend a smile, before she nodded her head in the direction of Drake. "Come on, we should get back to him, what do you say?" Rainbow asked, as Pinkie nodded in agreement. They both made their way back to the small campfire, with the only other living thing there being Drake. As they reached the site, a thought came to Rainbow. I hope that nopony, or human will be able to hurt him ever again. I'll make sure that he can't be hurt be any other pony or human. Rainbow thought to herself, as they finally made it back to the fire. The night had been pretty long, and very cold. When they got back to the fire, they talked about how life was like in Equestria, and about all their friends, like Applejack, who was sometimes competitive towards Rainbow Dash, Twilight, who was the smartest one of them, Rarity, the one who loved to make dresses, and lastly Fluttershy, the kindest pony you would ever meet, but has a tendency to be a bit shy sometimes. Those where how their friends where described. After that, they talked about other things, like funny jokes, and what not. While there was some laughter thrown through out the night, that didn't stop Drake from having the look of hurt, and shock in his eyes. Though, they had a good time, Drake mostly kept to himself, instead of talking. After they did all of that, they fell asleep, only to have a new day shed upon them, as the brightness of the earths sun came up. Rainbow began to stir in her sleep, as her eye lids began to break apart, causing them to open. She let out a loud yawn, as she usually did when she woke up. She felt the warmth of something else, and when she lifted her wing, she saw Drake. Rainbow was confused at first, but then she remembered that she let him sleep with her last night. Right, I didn't want him to be cold, so I let him sleep under my wing... Its kind of cute... Rainbow said, as she then shook her head lightly. Not a big fan of cute stuff..... But I guess that I could let it pass this time.... She wanted to back to sleep, but then she realized two things. One, was the ground was no longer comfortable to sleep on, and second, she had to find her other friends, they were still missing. Rainbow groaned, as she got up slowly, and carefully. Though, she didn't want too, she knew that she had to wake up Drake. "Drake, can you wake up, please?" Rainbow asked, causing him a stir in his sleep. He too began to wake up, as he rubbed the tiredness from his eyes. "Where.... Am I?" Drake asked, as he looked around. He remembered the events that happened yesterday, and his somewhat confused face turned back to normal. "Hello, Rainbow Dash." He let out a small smile. "Good morning, kiddo." Rainbow said back. While those two where awake, a certain pink pony started to wake up as well. Pinkie yawned, as she got up, and saw that Drake and Rainbow where awake. "Good morning you two!" She shouted, once she was close enough to them, causing them to recoil with surprise. "Pinkie! You scared the heck out of us..... I mean, you could have scared Drake!" Rainbow said, trying to correct her sentence. Pinkie giggled. "Sorry about that, we should get some breakfast, what do you think?" Pinkie asked. Rainbow looked at Drake, then looked back up at Pinkie. "That sounds good, what do you think, Drake?" Rainbow asked, and Drake just nodded his head. "Alright, lets go then." "Okie Dokie Locky!" Pinkie said, as they left their campsite, and began to hunt down whatever they could find for their early morning meal. > Chapter 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rainbow Dash, along with Drake, and the newly found Pinkie Pie, where all walking on a trail, inside the dark, shady forest they found themselves in. Even though the sun was up in the sky, shi8nning down on the world with it's beautiful light, it still wasn't enough to make the forest have enough light to see clearly. They were all hungry. That was the reason they were hunting in the woods, is to find something they could have as breakfast however, they didn't want to leave the forest, at the chance of getting caught by one of those humans, and to only have Celestia knows what happens to them. Rainbow was keeping her eye on Drake, making sure that nothing bad was going to happen to him, while Pinkie was just bouncing aside them, as she usually does, but she was also looking out for some food that could be growing on some trees. Drake had told them some of the fruits that he knew grew on trees, thanks to school. "Well..... I'm sure that apples grow on trees, and fruit like berry's grow in bushes." Drake said. Though Rainbow and Pinkie were unsure if he was right, since he was so young, and didn't seem to really know what he was talking about either, but it was the best lead they got for getting some food, so they looked for those areas. "Hm, I don't see any apples growing on any trees anywhere!" Pinkie said, as she stopped bouncing, and went into a normal walk. "Kid, are you sure that apples grow on these trees?" Rainbow asked,m as she hovered into the air a bit. "Yeah..... I've seen them on trees... When I was at school." Drake replied, as he lowered his head at the word school. He missed that place. It was his safe haven, a place where he could escape the nightmares that where awaiting him at his house. "Are you sure that they grow here, though? In this forest?" Rainbow asked, and Drake shook his head. "I'm not sure......." Drake said, whilst rubbing the back of his head. "That's just great!" Rainbow said though, it came out a bit wrong. Drake thought that she was directly blaming him for this, thus making him lower his head with shame, though this went unnoticed by Rainbow and Pinkie, however. "Hm, maybe we should look somewhere else." Pinkie said. "Then we could-" She was cut off when she heard somepony, more like someone shouted something that made all three of them freeze. "OH MY GOD!!!!! IS THAT A TALKING PONY?!?!?!?" The voice shouted. They were all paralyzed with fear, as they looked around. However, they saw nothing, but the trees that surrounded them. "What the? Who said that?" Rainbow called out, trying to locate the creature who said that, but all she got in return, was more voices. Even though they couldn't see where they were coming from, they heard the direction that the voices were in. It was coming from outside the forest. "Wait, were not over there, that means, one of our friends have to be over there." Pinkie said, with an overly dramatic gasp. Rainbow, realizing that her pink friend was right, turned her head in the direction. "If one of our friends are over there, then we have to help them!" Rainbow said, as she was getting ready to fly off in that direction. "Wait!" Pinkie shouted unexpectedly , causing Rainbow and Drake to jump up in shock. "What Pinkie?!" Rainbow asked, hating the feeling of being shocked by something, even though she was supposed to be the bravest pony in Equestria. "I'm no Twilight, but shouldn't we come up with a plan for this, or something like that?" Pinkie asked, whilst putting her hoof up to her chin in thought. "I guess..... But we should at least try to see which one of our friends are out there." Rainbow replied, and both Drake and Pinkie nodded their heads in agreement. "Well we could hide behind something, and see which one of our friends their talking about." Pinkie said, as they began to make their way in the direction. The walk was short lived however, as street quickly came into view, and they saw what seemed to be a crowed of humans, circling around another thing. "It's so bright and colorful!" One of them from the crowed shouted. "It can talk too!" Another one said. "Pl-please leave me alone..... I- I didn't do anything...." A timid voice pleaded with the crowed, a voice that was all too familiar to Rainbow Dash and Pinkie. The voice belonged to Fluttershy. "That sounded a lot like Fluttershy....." Rainbow said, now growing a look of concern on her face. "Come on! We have to save her!" Pinkie shouted, as she pulled out her party canon out of nowhere. "I'll blast them all away with my party canon!" "What do we do?" Drake asked, not really being sure what to do himself. Rainbow put her hoof up in thought, before getting an idea. She looked at Drake, due to the fact that it involved him. As the crowd of humans where pilled up against Fluttershy, the poor shy pony leaning back against a wall, with fear burning in her eyes. "Please leave me alone...." Fluttershy said meekly, her efforts being rewarded with more photos of her. "Where did you come from? Where did you learn how to talk? Are you real?" All the humans asked, which just made her even more uncomfortable. "Hey guys...." The voice of a young child said to the crowd, and some of them turned around to look at him. "Kid! Come look! It's a talking pony!" A women said, as Drake then put a look of fear on his face. "That pony is dangerous.... I think...." Drake said, forgetting a little of what he was supposed to say. This made everyone in the crowd gasp with shock. "ITS DANGEROUS! RUN!!!!!!!!" One of them shouted, as they all began to run away from the shy Pegasus, who had her wings over her eyes, but she removed them when she could no longer feel the crowd of all the humans. She saw the small child, who gave her a soft, but shy smile. "Are you... Fl-fluttershy?" Drake asked, with curiosity in his voice. He had a little bit of trouble pronouncing her name. "Um.... Y-yes, who are you?" She asked, not really sure if she should trust the boy or not. She then saw two ponies come out of the woods, Fluttershy knowing who those ponies where. "Rainbow Dash! Pinkie Pie!" Fluttershy said, all of her nervousness removed from her voice. "Hey Fluttershy." Rainbow said, as the three of them went into a group hug. Fluttershy looked back at the child, who was just standing there, with nervous singles coming from his body. "Um..... Girls, do you know who that is?" She asked, looking at Drake. "Yeah, I know him, he's with me right now." Rainbow said, looking at him. "Why is he with you?" Fluttershy asked, as Drake got a little closer to the group. Before Rainbow could answer, an angry voice shouted out. "Look! It's those dangerous ponies! They have a kid! Get them!!!!" The voice shouted. They all looked in the direction of the voice, and only saw that same crowd running towards them. "We better get the hay out of here!" Rainbow said. They all nodded, as they made a full sprint away from the crowd, who only seemed to be getting closer. Rainbow Dash, along with Drake, Pinkie, and the newly found Fluttershy, had all made their way back into the woods, away from the humans that were trying to get the child away from the "Dangerous" ponies. "Thank goodness were safe..." Fluttershy said, out of breath from the encounter. "Yeah... That was a close one, right Drake?" Rainbow asked, as she turned her attention towards him. He seemed to be looking off into the distance, distracted by something. Rainbow could tell that something was on his mind. "Kid, are you alright?" Rainbow asked, as she hovered up next to him. He jumped a little, but then regained his composer quickly. "Yeah.... I'm fine..." Drake said. Rainbow gave him a little mix between a suspicious look, but concerned look. "If you say so......" Rainbow said, as her friends walked up to them. "Who is he....?" Fluttershy asked. "Why isn't he with his parents?" Rainbow gave her a sad look. "I'll..... Explain......" Rainbow started. "Lets go for a walk...." She said. As they were walking, Drake suddenly began to feel shame again. He lied. Something was eating at him. He knew that what it was shouldn't have been eating at him, but for some reason he couldn't explain...... It was..... > Chapter 4 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "So, why is he with you again, and where is his parents?...... If you don't mind me asking, that is......" Fluttershy asked, her voice quiet, and nervous, like how it usually was when she spoke to other ponied, even if those ponies were her friends. , They had found a good place to stop, in a nice, clear area, even if they were still surrounded by some trees from the forest, and even if the whether was cloudy.Rainbow let out a small sigh, as she looked at her two friends that were walking with her, and the small human child that she had gotten to know so well over the past couple of days. "Well, you see Flutters....." Rainbow Dash started, with a little bit of a nervous gulp. Normally, she never had this much of a hard time telling something to her friends. It was hard enough when she tried to tell Pinkie, but she managed to tell her all the way through, but Rainbow wasn't sure if Fluttershy would even be able to handle Drake's story. "After we came here, I found him in-between a dark alleyway..." Rainbow said, and Fluttershy gave her a confused look. "Why would you go into an alleyway? And why was he in there?" Fluttershy asked, and this time Pinkie had a response to this. "Well, that's because she was also being chased by humans that were similar to the ones that were bothering you, you silly filly!" Pinkie said, in her usual hyper active self. Fluttershy let out a small "oh" as a response to this. "Anyway..." Rainbow Dash said, getting annoyed that they kept cutting her off like that. "He was in an alleyway, because he didn't want to go back to his home." Fluttershy wanted to ask why he didn't want too, but she felt like she had asked enough questions, so she decided to let Dash continue her story. "When I found him, he offered me to let him stay at his place until I found the rest of you guys, and that's when I first knew that something was bothering him." "Wow, you never explained like that before." Fluttershy said. "I know, but this is serious." Rainbow said, as she continued her story. "Once we got back to his "house", I found that it was a complete mess! I think the kitchen had mold, dirt, and just everything was such a big mess, that it even shocked me! I've never seen anything like it! That's when I found out he lost his mother, and that his father blames him for it... So you can imagine how bad it was when his father got home..." Fluttershy gasped, and looked back at Drake, Pinkie now being next to him, who was looking at the ground. She couldn't tell what emotion he was feeling by looking at his face, but she could feel what emotion was emanating off of him. It wasn't sadness, it wasn't anger towards his father, nothing like that. It was emptiness. It was an emotion, yet at the same time, it wasn't. That's all Drake was feeling at that moment. "Pl-please tell me that his father was scared of you, a-and didn't even try to mess with you at all...?" Fluttershy pleaded, hoping that she was right, hoping that nothing bad had happened, hoping that nothing got out of hand, or hoof in her case. Rainbow, to Fluttershy's dismay, slowly shook her head. "No Fluttershy.... Things didn't go smoothly at all... When his father got him.... He.... He put his hand thingy in his pants...." Rainbow said. At first, Fluttershy was confused on why he would have done that, but then.... It clicked. The reason he was wearing cloths in the first place, he didn't have any fur to hid his.... Parts. She didn't want to believe that any creature was capable of doing such a thing, but from what Rainbow just told her, that's what happened. Fluttershy was no Applejack, but she could easily tell that Rainbow wasn't lying. "Maybe it was just a misunderstanding...." Fluttershy suggested. "I mean, maybe his father is poor, and maybe he's doing the best he can for his son, and that he did that for a different reason-" "No!" Rainbow Dash shouted, catching the shy yellow Pegasus off guard."No, it wasn't some misunderstanding, I heard him HIT him, not only that, but when he did put his hand there, he said, "I haven't had a good time since your mother died" How is that just a misunderstanding?!" Fluttershy flinched back, startled at Rainbow Dash's outburst. Once she realized that she yelled, she immediately put an apologetic look on her face. "Fluttershy, I'm so... Sorry." Rainbow Dash said, as she gave her friend a pleading look as well. "It's just that, with everything I saw... and everything he went through... It's hard to believe that he survived this long, living under the same roof as his father, who is.... He's just a monster..." Fluttershy gave her a soft, sad smile, as she walked up to her friends, and gave her a light hug. "Oh Rainbow, It's alright, I know that your just upset of what Drake's dad did to him, but.... Where is his dad? What did you do to him after that happened?" Fluttershy asked, and Rainbow, though grateful that her friend forgave her, could now again feel the tension rising up in her. She really didn't want to say it, but she knew that she needed too. "His father..... Might not even be alive anymore..." Rainbow replied, with a gulp. Fluttershy gasped once again, as a look of horror appeared in her eyes. "What happened Rainbow? Did.... Did you kill him....?" Fluttershy asked meekly. Rainbow hesitantly shook her head. "No, I didn't kill him..... but he did get killed by somepony, or more like some human..." Rainbow Dash paused for a moment, before she inhaled a breath of air. "Drake.... Was the one who killed his father...." Just when Fluttershy thought she couldn't be anymore shocked at what she was hearing, she was proven wrong, after this revelation. "He did what?!" Fluttershy asked, shocked, still not sure if she heard her rainbow maned friend right, but she finally realized again that Rainbow Dash wasn't lying. "Why... Why would he do that? I know his dad was abusive... But.... I- I just can't believe it!" Fluttershy shouted, while trying to keep her voice down. Rainbow felt a sting of guilt course through her body. The guilt came from the fact that Drake did it to save her. While she expected this reaction from her shy friend, she felt torn over whether it was the right thing to do or not. "He did it.... To save me...." Rainbow Dash replied, giving her friend a sorrowful look. Fluttershy's face was unreadable at that moment. Rainbow couldn't tell if she was just shocked, or whatever else. Rainbow sighed, as she continued to explain what had happened. "Somehow, his father managed to get me into a uh, what was it that Twilight called them again? I think it was a... "Choke hold?" She looked at her friend, who confirmed that she was right. "Right, anyway.... I, I just couldn't fight against him, he hit me with a plate, and that got me on the ground, and he just began to choke me, and that's when....." Her voice trailed off at the memory. The memory that was still new, but a memory that would most likely not be forgotten for a long while. Fluttershy placed a hoof at her mouth, as she could easily guess on what happened next. She then saw a few tears leak out from Rainbows eyes, which made Fluttershy more concerned for her friend. She never really saw her cry, but this is one of those moments, where she just had to let all the tears out of her system. Fluttershy walked up to her, a smile of comfort adorned her face, as she put her foreleg around Rainbow. "Don't worry Rainbow , everything is going to be fine...." She said in a motherly, but comforting tone. Rainbow looked up at her, her cheeks still stained with the tears from her eyes. "I really hope so, Fluttershy." Rainbow said, putting a hopeful smile on her face. "But..... The kid doesn't have any other humans here that can take care of him.... He's really alone here..." She took a breath once again, before continuing. "Even if he's alone here, that doesn't mean that he would have to be alone in Equestria...." "Wait, are you serious?" Fluttershy asked, looking down upon Rainbow. "I mean, yeah he does deserve a good home and everything, but I don't want to take him away to Equestria if he has family here that could take care of him, and would be heartbroken if he just all the sudden went missing." Rainbow's look of sorrow returned to her face. "Oh..... He doesn't have any other family here, does he?" Fluttershy asked, and Rainbow nodded her head. "That's why I want him back in Equestria, so that he can forget about this world that we ended up in. I want him to have a great foal-hood, even if that means I have to raise him myself." Rainbow said. Fluttershy had an unsure look. "Rainbow... Are you sure that Twilight will let you even bring him back?" Fluttershy asked, Rainbow just nodded in response. "I'm glad you want him to come to Equestria to have a better life and all, but are you sure that you don't want any of us taking care of him? I don't think he can walk on clouds either, and you live in a cloud house...." "Fluttershy, there must have been a reason why I found this kid, I know there is...." Rainbow said, as she turned her head away. "Even if raising him means that I have to give up my dreams of being a wonder-bolt or if I have to give up my nice house, I will be willing to do that all, to give him a second chance of having a good childhood." Fluttershy, had a shocked look on her face, bit that look was soon turned into a look of understanding, and even happiness. "Rainbow, I'm so proud of you." Fluttershy said, pulling her friend into a hug with her wing. "You've matured so much since the first time I met you, back all those years ago in flight school. " Rainbow smiled at her friend, as their hug was broken. "Come on, let's check on how the little guy is doing." Rainbow said, as she turned back to the child and the Pink bouncing mare that was keeping her eye on him. While Rainbow and Fluttershy were walking back, Drake was looking down at his hands, with a look of fear in his eyes. His hands looked normal, but in one instant flash, they became covered with the red liquid of his father. He closed his eyes, to try to block the images, to try to forget what he done to his father, but it was no use. I killed my dad..... I stabbed him...... But he deserved it, right? I hate him... But... Was it the best thing to do...? Drake thought to himself, with teary eyes. They hate me because of it, they all see me as a heartless monster.... Even though he was only five years old, he was smart at around a fourth to fifth grade level. He studied a lot, in hopes that he could get a good job one day, and escape the nightmare that was his fathers house. He turned his head, and saw that Rainbow was with Fluttershy, they were both walking back towards them. I wonder if Rainbow Dash see's me as a monster... She is the only one who knows why I did what I did.... Drake hopefully smiled to himself, as they both finally reached them. Maybe... I'm not a monster to her... "Hey, how are you holding up kid?" Rainbow asked, causing Drake to snap out of his thoughts in an instant. "I'm... Doing fine, yeah...." Drake said, as he rubbed his arm. Rainbow gave him a quick smile. "That's great, kid. Anyway... Do you know what time it is here?" Rainbow asked, and Drake nodded. He always carried around a watch, along with his lighter, one of his dad's questionable choices for him. He looked down at it, trying to get some of the sunlight off of it so he could see better. The faded numbers read "11:07". "It's eleven o' seven." Drake said, as he showed the small watch to Rainbow. She saw that he was right, and that they still hadn't gotten any breakfast. "Is everypony still hungry?" Rainbow asked, hovering herself into the air. "We still haven't gotten any breakfast from earlier, so maybe we should look for some, or stay here, whichever one you guys want." After she said that, they heard someone's stomach growl, and a giggle from a pink pony. "I guess my stomach's still hungry, better feed it!" Pinkie said, as she began to bounce down the other trail that they didn't come on. "Pinkie, wait!" Rainbow said, as she dashed over to her friend to stop her from going any further. "Wait for us, we're all hungry, okay?" "Okie Dockey Lokie, Rainbow, you should have just said so!" Pinkie said, as she suddenly went as still as a statue, as Fluttershy and Drake began to catch up to them. Once they were caught up, they continued their walk down the path. Meanwhile.... In the same forest..... Twilight was walking around a forest, that was dark and gloomy, but she was using this to her advantage. She had seen those other "human" things, and they chased her around, saying that they never seen anything like her, and that she had to go with them, just because of the fact that she was a pony. "Those things are crazy! I've only been here for a day, and yet I can't learn anything about these humans because the're insane!" Twilight shouted to herself, taking in a breath of air after doing so. "I just can't even study in this world..... I don't even care about studding right now, I need to find my friends, and get out of here." Twilight looked around the area of the forest that she was in, and could only see grass, trees, and bushes through out the land. "Why does everything need to be so difficult? The chances of me even finding my friends in here, is a very low one." Twilight said to herself, with annoyance clear in her voice. As she continued to walk, she stopped, when she heard the familiar voice of her Rainbow maned friend, somewhere in the woods. "Maybe we can find some sort of apples to eat or something, I don't know...." The voice said, causing Twilight's ears to perk up. Was that really Rainbow Dash. He ran over to the source of the noise, in a full gallop. "Rainbow Dash, Are you there? Hello?!" Twilight called out, as she continued her run down in the forest. "Twilight?" Her voice called back, but this time, it was coming to the right of her. She changed her direction, and began to run in that one instead. "Rainbow Dash, where are you?" Twilight called out once more, and was rewarded with the voice of Pinkie Pie instead. "We're over here, Twilight!" The pink mare called out to her friend, and it was in the same direction Twilight was running in, for her luck. "I think I'm getting closer to you girls, hold on, don't move!" Twilight shouted, as she kept running faster and faster. She then saw four figures. Three were ponies, and one was what looked like a small human. However, she couldn't see well in the dark, that was until she got close enough to see them. When she did, she saw a shy yellow Pegasus, a bouncing pink earth pony, and a rainbow maned Pegasus, but there was another. It was a human. "TWILIGHT!!!" Pinkie shouted, as she ran up to her friend, and trapped her into one of the tightest hugs that you could ever get yourself trapped into. as Pinkie squeezed Twilight to a point were she couldn't breath, Twilight knew that she had to take action. "Pinkie, I'm happy to see you too, but you're crushing me!" Twilight yelled, as Pinkie released her grip on her. "Whoops! Sorry about that!" Pinkie said, as she bounced back over to the group. Twilight looked at them, that at the human child, who flinched the moment that Twilight set her eyes on him. "Um.... Girls, who is this human?" Twilight asked, pointing a hoof at the young one himself. Rainbow walked up to her, with a shy smile. "His name is Drake Twilight, and right now, I'm watching him..." Rainbow said, causing Twilight to put a dumb founded look on her face. "You're.... You're watching him?! But why, shouldn't his parents be doing that-" Twilight was saying, but then she stopped in mid sentence, as she looked at Drake, who had a pained look on his face. Twilight realized that he didn't have any parents to look after him. "I'm... I'm sorry...." She said, putting on an apologetic look on her face. "I didn't know..." Rainbow walked up to her friend, and put a hoof on her shoulder, causing her to look up. "It's okay Twilight, I know you didn't mean anything by it." Rainbow said, putting a smile on her face as well. Twilight looked back at the child, who was looking down at his feet, with an unreadable expression stuck on his young face. "What happened to them?" Twilight asked. "His parents, I mean..." Rainbow had put on the same expression that she did when she told Fluttershy the same heartbreaking tale, but she sighed, and looked up at her friend. "Well, you see-" Rainbow started, but then was cut off, when the sound of thunder roared through out the forest. She felt something make contact with her muzzle. It was a raindrop. "I'll tell you later, looks like there's going to be a thunder storm." With that, all of her friends nodded in agreement, as they all quickly made their way to a place that was dry. After a few minutes of walking, they came across a cave, that was dry inside. Luckily, this was good for them, as they entered. After they got in, Drake was extremely tired, and fell asleep in some soft dirt inside the cave. After that, Rainbow began to tell the same story that she told Fluttershy. After she was done, Twilight got a look of uneasiness on her face. "You're not over exaggerating, are you?" Twilight asked, just to be sure, and Rainbow nodded. "Yeah, I think he's doing better though-" Rainbow was saying, but then got cut off by Twilight. "No Rainbow, he's not doing better, in fact he's doing worse. I can tell just by looking at him." Twilight said, calmly. Rainbow once again had that look of worry return to her face. "What do you mean by getting worse?" Rainbow asked, and Twilight gave her a solemn look. "Rainbow, if what you said was true, and he has been abused, and nearly the "r" word, nopony would ever forget something like that happening to them." Twilight started. "Rainbow, his mind is broken, shattered into pieces, like when you break a mirror, or break through ice. He won't be able to forget what happened to him, he probably blames himself for both of his parents death's, he's losing his mind." Twilight stopped to take a quick breath, before continuing. "Rainbow... If he does not get the proper help he needs, then he might do something that he could regret for the rest of his life.... He already did something like that once, and he shouldn't have to do that again...." As Twilight said this, Rainbow came up with an idea. "What about therapy?" Rainbow asked. "We have a lot of great doctors back in our world, and they would probably be more that willing to help." Twilight looked at her with a smile, yet with a unsure look. "I'm not against you bringing him back to Equestria, believe me I'm not, and since he said he doesn't have any other family here, than I don't see why not." She stopped for a moment, before taking in a breath of air. "I think that Drake would be a great addition to ponyville." Rainbow smiled at her, before giving her a hug. "Thank you Twilight, thank you." Rainbow said, as she broke the hug. "I know that we can fix his mind, and give him a great home..." Twilight nodded in agreement. "Yeah, but we need to get our other friends before we can do that." Twilight said, as she yawned. "I'm getting pretty tired myself, I think I'm going to take a nap too." She walked over to some soft dirt, and rested her body on it, falling asleep. However, Rainbow wasn't tired, she was awake, when she would have normally welcomed sleep, she just wasn't tired enough. She looked over at Drake, with a smile. We can fix you, Drake. I promise... And you will have a better life than you did before... Rainbow thought to herself, as all she could do, was watch Drake sleep. Soon.... I promise..... > Chapter 5 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a few more hours until they all woke up. They had all been exhausted, and because of that, they slept for that long. Even Rainbow Dash fell into a deep sleep. It started when she became a little drowsy, but then she found that she couldn't keep herself awake any more. She was next to Drake when she awoke. She yawned, and stretched her wings out, getting some of the stress that was left behind in them. "Wow...." Rainbow said, rubbing her eye with her foreleg. "That was actually a pretty good sleep. I haven't slept like that in a while." She looked around the cave, and could only see the darkness of it. They went to sleep around twelve or one in the afternoon, so they must have been asleep for a while, considering the fact that it was now dark outside. "Ugh.... How long were we asleep for?" The voice of Twilight asked groggily. Rainbow turned her head, and saw that not only was Twilight waking up, but Pinkie and Fluttershy began to awake as well. Twilight looked around the cave, confused. "What, is it dark outside?" Rainbow nodded her head, even though nopony could see that she was doing so. "Yeah, I think its night out." Rainbow replied, and Twilight looked in her direction, lighting up her horn to see better. "Wow, it's very dark in here, I would at least expect their moon to light up the area a bit." Twilight complained, as she walked out of the cave, and looked up at the sky, only to see that the moon was not there, which left a very confused Twilight. "Why is there no moon.....?" Rainbow followed her outside, and her mouth dropped. Usually, the moon would always be out in their world, due to the simple fact that Luna always raises it. Then again, this isn't even their world, so they didn't even know if the moon even existed there in the first place. "How can there be no moon? It doesn't make any sense!" Twilight said. Just then, there was movement inside the cave. The movement of a human child known as Drake. "What time is it.......?" He asked in a groggy voice. "It's dark out, but for some reason, the moon isn't out." Twilight said, looking up at the sky once again. "It sometimes just doesn't come out....." Drake explained, as his voice slowly began to gain more and more energy. "I don't know why, though....." This made Twilight receive more questions in her mind. "Wait, then who raises the moon here? This doesn't make any sense!" Twilight said, rubbing at her head. Drake also had an answer for that. "I think that it raises itself here." He said. Twilight decided to not ask anymore questions, and just let out a sigh, which also let out her frustrations with this world so far. "Okay, so what should we do now?" Rainbow asked, and Pinkie bounced up next to her. "We should look around for Applejack and Rarity! Duh, not like any of us are tired anymore anyway!" Pinkie said, whilst bouncing up and down off the ground. "Um.... She does have a bit of a point....." Fluttershy shimmed in, with again her usual nervousness. Twilight nodded with them in agreement. "Yeah, we can do that, as long as Drake isn't too tired to travel." Twilight said, looking down at the young child himself. He looked up at the four ponies, and let out a smile. "Yeah, I would like to start looking for them tonight." He said, with a hopeful look on his face, but deep inside him, he was still empty. He thought the other ponies were alright, but Rainbow Dash. Something about her just seemed different to him. She was the one who saved him after all. He seemed to be the most attached to her. "Alright then, little buddy! Lets get going!" Rainbow Dash said. With nopony having a problem with that at all, they began their trip into the woods, with their only source of light being Twilight's horn. A few moments later..... They had been walking through the dark woods for a couple of minutes, not finding any signs that their friends had even been through there before, but they had to be. After all, that's where Rainbow Dash found her friends so far, so the rest of them should be in there. Drake had started to shiver due to the cold, and the lack of any sort of hoodie or jacket didn't help him the the freezing weather. Rainbow wrapped her wing around him, to try and keep him warmer so he wouldn't freeze to death. Her wing was warm, and soft, making the cold feeling that Drake had flow away, as if it went down a river. "Th-thank you mo- I mean Rainbow Dash." Drake said, getting used to the warm feeling that he was getting from the wing. Rainbow looked down at him, with a little bit of shock in her eyes. Wait.... Did he almost call me...... Mom? Rainbow thought to herself. She never really considered herself a mother before, but then again, she never really thought about it either. I've only known the kid for barley a day, does he really consider me that? She saw that he was blushing with embarrassment at what he almost said. I probably shouldn't bring it up right now, though. I think the kid accidentally embarrassed himself.... Rainbow thought, as they continued their way through the woods, hoping that they would find something soon. "How long does this trail go on, Twi?" Pinkie asked, as she bounced up to her, with excitement as usual. Twilight gave her a "Are you serious?" look. "Uh Pinkie.... I never been in this forest before.... So I don't know...." Twilight said, causing Pinkie to stop bouncing for a moment. "Oh right," Pinkie said, with a giggle. "Silly me." Twilight rolled her eyes a bit, before giggling herself at Pinkie antics. Rainbow however, was still consumed by her own thoughts. She was debating whether she should be the one to take care of Drake, or if one of her friends, or even if somepony else should do it. I can't take care of him! I have my dream of becoming a wonder bolt! Besides, how will he even be able to walk on clouds? Only Pegasus can do that.... Rainbow thought to herself, as she looked down at the child, who was still curled up in her wing, and she couldn't help but to let out a soft smile. Then again..... He does seem to like me the most. Can't say I blame him. I am one of the coolest ponies around... Rainbow smirked at herself, before remembering Twilight's words from earlier. His mind is broken. He wont forget the abuse he went through. If you don't try to fix him in time..... Those words drilled into Rainbows head. Twilight was right. Drake wasn't going to forget about his hardships with his father, and he definitely wasn't going to forget about stabbing his father either. That's when Rainbow Dash realized something. She had grown attached to Drake, as if he was her own son. Whenever he needed somepony to be their for him, Rainbow was that pony. Whenever he needed somepony to comfort him, that pony would still be Rainbow. When he needs a mother..... That pony would be Rainbow..... I'll adopt him.. Rainbow thought to herself, once again looking down at Drake, still snuggled in her wing. I don't care if I have to give up my cloud mansion, or if I have to give up the wonder bolts for a while....... She put on a smile on her face once again. I'll take care of him...... Rainbow looked in front of her friends, and realized that they for some reason, had stopped walking. Then she saw why. They were at the end of the forest, and they could see that there was an empty street, with one single news paper on the ground. Twilight picked it up, and her face went pale at what it said. "Oh... This isn't good...." Twilight said, as she looked at the paper with a look of nervousness. "What does it say?" Rainbow asked, as she went over to the news article that Twilight was reading, and her heart dropped at what she had read. CHILD MISSING, POSSIBLY KIDNAPPED BY TALKING PONIES A day ago, a man by the name of Jefferson Nickles, was found dead in his house. His five year old son, Drake Nickles is now missing. Witnesses in the area claim that talking colorful ponies have taken him. They saw the young child, claiming the ponies were a threat, and making the crowd run away, due to the fact that they were taking pictures of a butter yellow one. Sources believe that these ponies somehow brainwashed Drake into killing his father, the murder weapon being found just outside oak side forest. If found, please contact the police immediately, and if you see the talking ponies, call this number. Rainbow read the article again and again, only thinking one thing. How stupid are these humans? She asked herself. Drake went up to the news paper, that Rainbow read out loud, and he had a look of sorrow on his face. "I'm....I'm so sorry....." Drake said, Rainbow then decided to go and comfort him. "No, little buddy. This isn't your fault." Rainbow Dash said, walking up to him, with another soft smile."You didn't do anything wrong, those other humans are just stupid." Twilight would have scolded Rainbow for using language like that in front of a child, even if he was from a different species, but Rainbow never showed her soft side, she was too cool for that. This was an exception. She once again wrapped a wing around him with comfort, and with no trouble at all. "Don't blame yourself for this, this isn't your fault." Rainbow said. Even though she wasn't the best when it came to talks like these, she still managed to put some comfort into Drake with her words. Twilight and the rest of them would have dawwed, but they felt that Rainbow would be embarrassed, so they held it in for her. "Th-thank you, Rainbow Dash....." Drake said, with a smile on his face. Everypony could tell that even though his mind is still shattered, one of those pieces came back together, restoring some of sanity that he lost a long time ago. Rainbow was about to say something else, but then a voice from one of her friends spoke out. Except this voice didn't come from the group of friends that Rainbow had found. "R-Rainbow Dash? Is that you, darling?" The voice belonging to Rarity called out. Rainbow turned, and saw her friend, who was a complete and utter mess. Her white fur was covered with dirt and filth, her mane was wet, as if she had been splashed with a bucket of water. "Rarity? What the hay happened to you?!" Rainbow asked, walking over to her with Drake by her side. "A lot of things Rainbow, a LOT. OF. THINGS!" Rarity said. Twilight was about to ask what type of things she meant, but she didn't need to be asked. "They all admired me at first, Taking photos and what not, but then the next thing you know, they're calling me a monster, saying I'm dangerous!" "They splashed water all over my beautiful mane, then when I was trying to get away, I fell into some mud. Of all the worst things that could possibly happen, this is the WORST. POSSIBLE. THING!!!!" Rarity took in a breath of air. She would have fallen back on her red sofa that she usually carried around, but she left it back in Equestria. "Actually Rarity, I don't think that's the worst thing that could happen." Rainbow Dash said, looking down at Drake, who was hiding behind her foreleg, not having the best first impression on Rarity. Speaking of her, she followed Rainbow Dash's look, and saw that there was a young human child hiding behind her. She was about to freak out, but then she realized that Rainbow was aware of his presents, and it didn't seem like the child was bringing any harm to them, so she just gave him a nervous smile. "Um.... Hello there....?" Rarity said, the awkwardness was clear with her expressions and her voice. "Hello...." Was the only response that Drake managed to get out. Rainbow chuckled, as Twilight came up to her purple-maned friend. "Rarity, this is Drake...." Twilight said, pointing her hoof at the said child. "He has been through a whole lot." Rarity gave her a confused look. "My, what do you mean dear?" Rarity asked, and she looked down at the child, who now had a pained expression on his face. Rarity had the feeling that she knew what Twilight meant by that. It could be one out of two things. He didn't have a family or something like that, or worse is that he has been abused. It something almost unheard of in Equestria, and it rarely ever happened, but every once in a while, something like this comes up. The last time it happened was thirty years ago in Equestria. "Twilight, what are you getting at, dear?" Rarity asked, and Twilight sighed. "Well, first we should try to get you to some shelter, then Rainbow can tell you, since Drake trusts her the most." Twilight said. Rarity could only let out a light nod, as she followed them into the forest. They were going to head back to that cave that they had stayed in. Meanwhile, Drake went into his own thoughts. He remembered earlier when he almost called Rainbow his mom. That was a close one. I don't even think Rainbow would even want to be my mom.... Of maybe He looked up at the rainbow maned Pegasus, who looked at him back, and smiled. Then again, she was the one who saved me, and offered me to live in the world she lives in, so maybe... Maybe she would want to be my mommy. He looked up at her again, and saw that she was paying attention to where she was going. Maybe I should ask her later, though.... Drake decided that this was the best choice to make, as his group continued to make their way back to the cave, and to explain to Rarity what Drake went through. After that, all they needed to do was to find Applejack, then. Then they could go back to Equestria, and leave this world, full with its humans, who were now most likely looking for them. > Chapter 6 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- They were making their back to the cave, now having Rarity on their side, who was still confused on why her friends had a human child with them, though it would soon be explained to her. Drake had once again found himself in his own thoughts as he continued to walk with the others. I can't stop thinking about it.... Drake thought, as he looked up at Rainbow. Rainbow saved me...... I wonder if maybe, she would want to be my.... My mommy He kept on having this inner debate with himself, but he couldn't decide when the right time to ask Rainbow was. Coincidentally, Rainbow Dash was having similar thoughts. She wanted to also ask Drake of she wanted to live with her, but she wasn't sure. She wasn't sure if Drake even wanted to live with her, due to the fact that she was a pony, and he was a human. He probably doesn't even want a pony for a mother. He probably still wants to live with his own kind. She looked down at Drake, who was walking close by her. She smiled down at him, once again showing off her soft side. Well, then again, I was the one who saved him, and I even asked him if he wanted to come to Equestria, and he did say yes. She fought all the negative thoughts away, and once again gained some confidence. I'll make sure that he is safe....I promise...... Rainbows thoughts were all the sudden cut off, when a loud noise rang out in the distance. It was the sound of thunder. A storm was brewing. "Oh no, we better hurry, before I get more wet than I've already have!" Rarity said, picking up her pace. They all did the same thing as well, trying to get out of the cold, rainy whether that had come unexpectedly. Rainbow extended a wing over Drakes small body, making sure the rain could not hit him. "Where did all of this come from?" Twilight asked, as she started to run, the dirt slowly turning into mud. Rainbow Dash was about to reply with something, but she was cut off, by the sound of barking dogs. "Are those dogs?" Fluttershy asked , wondering why they were barking so loudly. "I think they are!" Pinkie said, as she was about to go bounce in the direction of it, but was stopped when she saw a bright white light flash against her eyes. "There they are! Get them!" The voice of a middle aged man shouted. He was the one holding the light, and he was holding something else in his other hand as well. It was a small, loaded handgun. Twilight walked up, to try to reason with them, but she all the sudden jumped back, when a shot rang out, a bullet nearly hitting Twilight. "Get the ponies, then get the child!" Another one shouted. "Over my dead body!" Rainbow shouted back, getting ready to attack them, as her will to fight grew stronger. However, she was stopped by Twilight, who grabbed her with a hoof, and pulled her back. "Run!" She screamed, snapping Rainbow out of her fighting mood. They all began to run away, no longer wanting to try to cooperate with them. Either they were too stupid, or it was just something else that made them do that. As they ran through the thickening mud, their moment slowly started to get slower, due to the mud. Rainbow let Drake get on her back, as she too was trying her best to go at a fast pace. They kept hearing more and more gunshots, as they continued to get closer and closer. "These humans are insane! More crazy than me!" Pinkie said, with a small giggle, which was cut off by another bullet, making her yelp in surprise. "Pinkie! Be careful!" Rainbow called to her pink friend, who gained some speed after that close call. They didn't know why these humans were shooting at them. They didn't do anything wrong, and yet here they were, getting chased down. They knew the humans wanted Drake for whatever reason, but they each felt that this was a little too harsh. As they ran, they saw a cave come into view however, this cave was not the same cave that they had previously resided in. "There's a cave up ahead!" Twilight shouted, as she and their other friends gained more speed, Drake starting to have more and more trouble hanging on to Rainbows body. Twilight was the first one to reach the cave, as she bolted in. The rest of them followed, the other first on being Rainbow, then Pinkie, then Fluttershy, and the last one being Rarity. As the last of them entered, Twilight turned around, then blasted some magic at the top of the cave, trapping them from the humans that were trying to get them. "OW!" Twilight shouted, as the ruble came down, and one of the larger pieces fell and hit her horn. As Drake got off of Rainbow, she went over to Twilight, a look of concern adorned her face. "Twilight! Are you okay?" Rainbow asked, helping up her friend. "Yeah, I'm fine." Twilight said, Rarity's horn being their only source of light. Twilight focused some of her magic on her horn, however none of it came out, and she knew why her magic wasn't working. "Darn it, that rock must have disabled my magic." Twilight said, with a sigh. "At least we got Rarity here." They all nodded with agreement. They turned around, expecting a wall behind them, but instead they found that the cave was much more deeper that that. Rainbow looked at Drake, and saw that he was trying to get some of the mud off of his shoes. "Are you alright to walk, kid?" Rainbow asked, and Drake nodded as a response. "Yeah, I just got a lot of mud on my shoes." Drake said, as Rainbow nodded, understanding. "Alright then, we should probably see if there is another exist here then." Twilight said with a light smile, though it was hard to see, due to it still being pretty dark in the cave that they were in. They all slowly nodded, not wanting to venture any further into the cave, but they knew that they had too, if they wanted to get out by tonight, and find their last friend. "This is going to be creepy...." Fluttershy said, her voice shrinking with each word she said. "Don't worry, we wont let anything happen to you, Fluttershy. The same goes for you, Drake." Rainbow said, as they both nodded. They all began their decent into the dark abyss. As they walked, they noticed that the cave was pretty dirty, making Rarity watch her hoof steps very carefully. "This cave feels like it goes on forever. Can we stop now?" Rarity asked, with a bit of plead in her voice. "No Rarity." Twilight said." We can't stop, we need to find Applejack." Rarity seemed to be annoyed by this, but she also knew that her friend was lost out there, somewhere. "I suppose you're right." Rarity said. She didn't expect to get a reply from her friends, but she didn't expect to hear a seventh voice in the cave. "Hello?" The voice called out, in a southern accent. An accent that only one of their friends used. "Applejack?" Pinkie called out, her voice echoing in the cave, and she got a response from the same accent. "Pinkie? Are yer there?" Applejack asked, sounding happy, yet with uncertainty. “Yeah! I’m here with the rest of our friends!” Pinkie shouted back, as as she and the others walked further into the cave, to find their southern accent friend. As they quickly walked, they began to notice another source of light coming from inside the cave. It seemed to be comingb from a lantern, and they also noticed a shadow of a pony dancing on the wall. When close enough, they saw the orange colored pony, in the same condition that they found Rarity in. “Applejack? What happened to you?!” Twilight asked, having full concern in her voice. “”Those humans are crazy, ah tell you!” Applejack replied. “Ah went up to one, and then they treated me as if ah were some sort of threat.” Rarity nodded in agreement. “Tell me about it, just look at what they did to me!” She said, showing off her dirty fur and mane to the farm pony. “Yeah, we’re glad you’re okay, but not all humans are like that.” Rainbow said, looking down at the human child she had grown so used to. “This is Drake, and we’ve been taking care of him, and he isn’t anything like those other humans.” Applejack looked down at where Rainbow was looking, and saw that she wasn’t lying, and that Drake was hiding behind her forelegs. Applejack could also tell that Drakes innocence was tampered with, but she put on a smile anyway. “Well, howdy there, little feller. My names is Applejack.” She said, tipping her hat. Drake gave out a small smile, yet Applejack could tell that something was wrong with him. His smile was a broken one. “Rainbow, why isn’t he with his parents?” Applejack asked, causing Rainbow to sigh, knowing she had to be the one to tell Drake’s tale again. “Well... I can tell both you and Rarity, but you might want to sit down for this.” Rainbow said. Applejack and Ratity sat down, as she began to re-tell Drake’s Story. By the end of it, Rainbow could tell that Applejack and Ratity had feelings of sorrow at that moment. “Oh Celestia... That poor little boy.” Rarity said, looking at Rainbow, who nodded in agreement with her. “Ah can’t believe that his father put him through that.” Applejack said, not having any sympathy for his father. “Yeah, and that’s why I want to take care of him, you know? So he doesn’t have to be alone anymore.” Rainbow said, and her two friends gave her soft smiles. “Well, ah think that’s very mature of you.” Applejack said, putting on a smile to call her own. “Yeah, I definitely support your decision darling, and if you you any help, then I’ll do whatever I can.” Rarity said, she now getting a smile. Rainbow returned it, with tears stinging through her eyes, just barely visible. “Thank you,” Rainbow said, whipping some of her tears away, before putting on a playful smirk. “Don’t think about telling other ponies that I almost cried!” Applejack and Rarity chuckled, as they too got smirks. “Oh, we don’t know, Rainbow.” Rarity, Rainbow chuckling in response. “But no seriously, don’t.” Rainbow said, with a serious face. “Our lips are sealed.” Applejack said, putting her good over her lips. Rainbow smiled, as she looked back at Drake, who was talking with her other friends. “Come on, we should get some rest.” Rarity said, as she walked off, trying to find a comfortable place to sleep, “Wait, can’t we just teleport back ta our world?” Applejack asked, and Rainbow shook her head. “Twilights magic isn’t working right now, so we’ll have to try again in the morning.” Rainbow replied, as Applejack nodded with, understanding. Rainbow walked over to Drake, who was rubbing his eyes, trying to get the sleepiness out of them. “Looks like someone’s tired.” Rainbow teases, and Drake nodded with agreement. “Yeah, I am.” Drake replied, yawning in the process. Rainbow herself was feeling tired too. “Well, you can use my wing as a blanket for warmth if you want.” Rainbow offered, and Drake nodded. “I would like that.” He said, as Rainbow lied down, and extended her wing out for him. Drake lied down under it, and Rainbow pulled him into a hug, as they both fell into a deep sleep. One of them however, wouldn’t have a peaceful sleep. Drake was running. He was running from something chasing after him. That something was Rainbow, and she was mad. As Drake ran, she got closer and closer to him, her malicious smile growing wider with each second. Soon, Drake made it to the end of a ledge. He turned, and saw the rainbow maned Pegasus, who has finally caught up with him. “Well, look at that. I finally caught up with the snobby little brat who tried to run from me.” Rainbow said, placing her hoof on his shoulder, and pushed him back, causing him to fall off the edge. He grabbed it, as he looked up at her. “Do you really think that I would ever want to be your mother? Guess what, you’re wrong!” Rainbow said, putting her hoof on his hand. “You don’t deserve to be my son, and you don’t deserve to live. I can’t believe I saved you from your father. I hope this fall will end you.” With that, she pressed her hoof down on his fingers, causing him to fall, screaming all the way down. Drake bolted his head up, painting from his nightmare that he had. He couldn’t believe that his mind could ever come up with anything like that. “What a horrible nightmare.” He said, with tears forming. As he got up from the sleeping Pegasus, he covered his head, as voices started to rush into it. Voices telling him how they all thought he was just a waste, and how he did deserve to die, and that he should end his life. “No! Stop!” He shouted, as he began to run further into the cave, the opposite way they came in. This woke up Rainbow. “Uhhh.... Drake? She asked, looking under her wing, only to see nothing. This made her panic. “Drake? Where are you?!” This woke up everypony else. “Rainbow, what’s wrong?” Twilight asked, rubbing her eyes. “Drake’s gone!” Rainbow replied, getting Twilights attention. Before she could reply, they all heard Drake’s footsteps. Without hesitation, Eainbow flew into that direction. As drake ran, he could see light at the end of the tunnel, but once he got there, he saw nothing, but an edge. He covered his head, as voices were telling him to just get it over with, and that he was not worth anything. He let those voices take control, as his body began to fell forward off the ledge. Rainbow bolted, just in time to see him fall off the said ledge. She cried out one thing as he fell “DRAKE!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!” > Worst Ending: Gone > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rainbow Dash quickly flew down, to try and swipe Drake. To try and save him from falling to his death. She couldn’t let him die. She started gaining more speed, as she got closer to him. Just a little closer, she just needed to get a little closer. She reached her fore hooves out to catch him. But she missed. She missed the young child, as he continued to fall, and eventually, he landed on the ground with a loud thud. “DRAKE!!!!!” Rainbow shouted, flying towards his limp body. His pulse was gone. Rainbow let tears fall from her eyes, as they landed on his limp body. Soon, Twilight and the others followed behind, and they had saw what had happened. “Is..... Is that Drake?” Twilight asked, shocked at what happened. Rainbow didn’t answer, as all she could do was let out her tears. She had failed. Ending song: Shattered Memories: Acceptance > Bad Ending: Not Forgiven > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scenario: Rainbow doesn’t wake up, and Drake survives the fall. Drake could fell the adrenaline flowing through him as he fell. No one wanted him in his thoughts. He hitter the ground with a thud, and went out cold. A few moments later, Drake woke up in a hospital bed, with a cast around his leg. He didn’t remember what he did the other night. “What..... What happened?” He asked, rubbing his head. He turned, and saw what seemed to be a cop walking up to him. “Is your name Drake?” She asked, and he in response nodded. “Drake, you’re under arrest for the murder of your father.” “What?!” Drake asked. He was confused on where Rainbow was, or where his other pony friends were. “But.... He” “We have all the evidence, anything you can say should be saved in the court of law.” The cop said. “Luckily, we didn’t find those ponies you were with, so maybe they stopped using you, but that doesn’t change the fact that you killed him.” Drake felt like his whole world fell apart. He felt like he was betrayed. > Good Ending: Survived > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scenario: Raombow does not wake up, and Drake survives. Drake woke up quickly, and looked around. He saw that he was in a hospital room, in the bed. He turned, and saw a women with him. “You’re awake, good.” She said, as she walked up to him. “My name is Martha, and I’m with the foster care community. I know about what your father had been doing to you. I want to adopt you.” Drake was stunned, but he let out a smile. Rainbow was starting to wake up, as she looked around. She saw that Drake was missing. “Twilight? Wake up!” Rainbow whispered harshly, causing Twilight to fully wake up. “What?” She asked gtroggly. “Drake’s gone.” Rainbow replied, as Twilight woke up completely. “Hold on, I have a tracking spell we can use.” Twilight said, now having her magic, used it to track him down, and see what he was seeing. Once done, she gave Rainbow a sad look. “Rainbow, some human in this world has already adopted him. I’m sorry, but it doesn’t look like he wants to leave.” Rainbow felt her world crash, but it seemed for the best. “Let’s get going, then.” She said, as Twilight began to focus her magic. > True Ending: Adoption of a Rainbow Maned Pegasus > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rainbow did not hesitate to fly down full speed to catch the falling Drake. She couldn’t let him die, and she would not let him die. “Drake! Hold on!” She shouted, as she was getting closer. She caught up with him, and got him with her hooves. Drake looked up at her, in surprise as she took him, and flew back up into the cave. She let him down, now her other friends being present. “Kid, what were you thinking?!” Rainbow asked. She was happy to see him alive, but he almost got killed. Drake let a few tears fall from his eyes, as he broke down. “I’m sorry, I had a nightmare where you said that no one would ever love me, and I deserved to die. Then I heard voices telling me to jump off a ledge, so I wouldn’t be a problem anymore and-“ His ranting was cut off when he felt Rainbow wrap her hooves around him. Drake was shocked, but smiled as he hugged back. “Drake, don’t listen to that other Rainbow Dash, she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.” Rainbow said, pulling away a bit. “You know.... I’ve been growing very attached to you... So much, that I want to adopt you...” Drake gasped, as he let out a smile. “Really? Can I call you...” “Yes, you can call me mom.” Rainbow finished for him, as he hugged her tightly. It was the next day, and the mane six made it back to Equestria. Drake was with them, still a human, and he could walk on clouds somehow. He was at his new cloud home, with Rainbow. He once again felt happy, and his shattered mind was slowly being fixed. Rainbow loved Drake as her son, as the child she saved from the monster that was his father. Promise: Piano Version.
