Hello! My name is Midnight Demon and I'm what remains of three demons, as in Midnight Sparkle, Demon Sunset and Gaea Everfree. I need to get going now, school and all. Also why does everyone remember me as if I always existed even though I haven't?
Join Midnight Demon as she tries to understand why everyone remembers her while she has only existed since Camp Everfree and deals with Midnight Sparkle and Demon Sunset along with Gaea Everfree in her head, although the last one isn't a problem since (spoiler) she's dealt with in the first chapter.
My little pony will be involved in later chapters. The profanity is for some songs only. Actual talking with profanity would be above uncommon and below rare.
Third Person Point Of View After Gaea Everfree's Defeat
There were green dots floating down from the sky and after one went into Gloriosa Daisy's head the other green dots gathered between Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer and made someone appear from seemingly nowhere in a flash of green.
P.S.: The girls were like this except Sunset was next to Twilight:
The girl had dark pinkish skin, similar to Gaea Everfree's own skin, red and yellow hair, styled like Sunset Shimmer's, and purple eyes. She was wearing a pair of pants and a Camp Everfree shirt along with a necklace with a green, a purple, and a red gem embedded into it making a triangle if you connected the dots to make a shape.
After the girl appeared a flash of light happened, changing everyone's memories and making this girl seem like she always existed along with changing the entire world to cement this fact. The world knows this girl as Midnight Demon, an orphan that has perfect health and is one of the smartest students of Equestria High-School, she is also known as a very good musician and actor. After the light faded she fell over, unconscious. Twilight and Sunset caught her before she could hit the ground.
"Oh dear! Put her down and let me do a checkup on her," Fluttershy said with urgency and worry for Midnight. Twilight and Sunset complied and put her down carefully. Fluttershy checked Midnight's heartbeat and sighed in relief at that before checking for any visible injuries. "She seems to be okay," Fluttershy said in relief. The others sighed as well and much happened afterward. But let's pay attention to our main character. First she needs to wake up.
First Person Point Of View Midnight Demon
The last thing I remember is pain and fear. It seems I'm laying on a bed. I opened my eyes to see my surroundings and saw another bed but unoccupied. I sat up in the bed I'm on and looked around me, the half of the room I'm not at had a bed with a moon and star theme. The bed on my side of the room has multiple themes of nature, fire, and technology for some reason.
"Oh you're awake, Trixie was wondering when you would wake up," said a new voice that made me jump. I turned to the entrance and saw a light blue skinned and silver haired girl with pink eyes? I'm not sure I'm bad with colors and slightly colorblind. She was also wearing a purple shirt showing a picture of the sunset and a pair of purple shorts.
I only asked one question since it seemed the most important at the time, "How long was I unconscious for?"
"Trixie believes you were out for about a day," the girl I'm guessing named Trixie said. I nodded in understanding before getting up and walking outside. People were everywhere, talking about some things and walking about or doing various activities.
'Imustgetmyrevengeagainstthosesiximbeciles,' a voice started saying in my head. I was walking about seeing people saying 'Glad you're finally awake' or 'I was starting to get worried about you Midnight' or something along those lines.
'I must get to Equestria, it's full of magic and knowledge,' another voice said. I just nervously smiled and waved back at them.
'Don't worry about Camp Everfree everyone, I got this!' yet another voice said in my head. The three voices started bickering and arguing about which of their goals is most important. That was until I mentally shouted 'Shut up!' After I said that I got some peace and quite in my head. For two minutes.
I noticed it was almost sunset. Everyone was wearing formal attire and going somewhere so, after putting on a red, yellow, and purple dress with gloves that looked like flowers, I found it in the tent I woke up in, turns out it's mine and Trixie's tent, I followed them to this cave.
In this cave their was a party or ball ready by the looks of it. There was a chandelier that looked like it was made of crystal on the roof, a food table to the right, and a stage with a band getting ready by the looks of it. I heard a familiar gasp but I can't put my finger on why it was familiar. I turned around and saw a pink skinned girl with darker pink hair and light blue eyes, she was also wearing a pink dress and a hair clip shaped as three balloons.
'It's one of them,' that first voice said in pure hatred.
The pink girl hugged me and said, with a lot of speed, "I was soo worried about you Midnight, we were close to calling the hospital but now that you're awake we no longer have to worry!" She let go, waved goodbye and went off to the stage to get the drum set ready by the looks of it. So she's one of the band members I guess.
About five minutes after that the cave was pretty full and the party started, people were dancing, talking, eating, or doing the first two at the same time. I just stayed at the table and took the occasional drink of punch or ate the occasional cupcake.
The band was singing a good song and it was well into the night. After the song ended a very lightly pink skinned girl (as in lighter than the other pink girl) with really dark pink hair along with a few bits that were just pink and nature green eyes, wearing an autumn themed dress with a sunflower headband, came onto the stage and said through a microphone, "Thank you all so much for coming. And I thank you all for also helping us raise enough money to save Camp Everfree!" Everyone cheered at that.
'Camp Everfree is safe?' said one of the voice in my head, that sounded like the girl on the stage for some reason. I retold her what the girl on the stage said and I think I heard crying but it was in joy and not in sadness. 'I don't have a goal anymore, I can move on now' the voice then said in joy and after that I felt like a presence just left my head as if it never existed. I looked at my necklace and saw the green gem in it glow for a moment before going back to being it's old not glowing self.
I saw two of those band members leaving the cave. I did not follow them, I just felt like getting some fresh air. One of the two was a purple skinned girl with dark indigo hair with a pink and purple stripe along with purple eyes. The other one was a yellow skinned girl with red and yellow hair as well as aqua colored eyes. They both wore dresses as well and the two were trying to figure out where their necklaces came from, I wasn't paying that much attention since I was admiring the beauty of the night and nature.
"Hey. Midnight right?" the purple skinned girl asked me. I hesitatingly nodded yes. "Anyways. How did you think of Camp Everfree?" she asked.
I answered her by saying, "It was very nice, I always do love nature. As much as I like gaining knowledge on things I don't know about and as much as I love fire." 'Wait. What? I don't remember that.' I though in my head after saying that.
The yellow skinned girl came over and asked, "Midnight do you know where these might of came from?" I asked her why she would ask me. "Because you suddenly got an amulet as well, though you did fall unconscious when it appeared and it doesn't show your special mark but still," was her answer.
"I would think they are pieces of the Elements of Harmony and yours, Sunset, is all that's left of a lost Element of Harmony that went missing a millennia ago," was my answer to her question. 'Wait. Since when did I know Sunset's name?'
'You can thank me for that,' said that one voice that seems to have a grudge on them and everyone in that band, she also sounds like Sunset. Sunset took on a thoughtful face and agreed that my hypothesis is the most likely out of what she and Twilight thought of.
'What's your guy's name? I would like to know if you don't mind,' I thought idly. The two girls went back into the cave while I was having my mental conversation.
'My name is Midnight Sparkle. And the one with a grudge is Demon Sunset,' Midnight Sparkle helpfully told me, she sound like that Twilight girl as well. I mentally thanked her for that bit of information.
The party lasted almost all night, I retired to bed long before anyone else got back from the party. I had a very bad nightmare. Who I'm guessing is Demon Sunset, or D.S., was trying to convince me to get her revenge with multiple techniques of torture from physical, like cutting me and beating me up, to mental, like fear and sadness.
Now it's morning and everyone was getting ready to leave by noon. It turns out I brought a phone, a pair of headphones that cover my ears, a Daring Doo book (whoever that is), a few extra pairs of clothes, a black jacket, and a pair of black sunglasses to this trip. After everyone was ready we got on the bus and it drove off, probably to the school we all go to.
During the ride I put on my jacket, put my headphones on, lifted my hood, and listened to some music. Which also, thankfully, blocked out the two remaining voices in my head.
I was listening to this song on repeat until people got off the bus. I turned off my music, put my headphones into my backpack and walked out of the bus with everyone else.
I looked into my phone and into my notes to find, surprisingly, there being a note about me.

'Who is this 'Author'?' I wondered in my head for a moment. After reading all that and seeing people going home, at least that's what they're saying, I searched for directions to Ponyville Orphanage and walked there, with a little girl named Scootaloo asking me questions on how the week long trip was for a few minutes.
Me and Scootaloo stopped in front of a building that makes me think of children asylums for some reason. (Like this but more creepy.)
There was a gate that said 'Ponyville Orphanage' on the top. Scootaloo looked happy when we saw this so I only guessed it was actually a really nice place to live in. We went through the gate and walked down the small cobblestone path to the steps of the building. Scootaloo raised an eyebrow at me when she noticed my slightly nervous face and asked, "Is there something wrong Midnight? You usually like the creepy look the place has and happy to be here after school."
"Hmm? Oh nothing, it's just that my memory is not working with me today," I said in response to what she said. Scootaloo still kept her suspicious face but nodded and entered the building with me behind her. It was rather empty, I'm guessing none of the other orphans got back from school yet. The only person other than me and Scootaloo was a pale skinned girl with purple hair in pig tails and darker purple eyes wearing...something. (I don't know how to describe the clothes)
"Hey girls welcome back! I was starting to get slightly worried since you usually are the first ones that come back from school," the woman said. Scootaloo said that we were fine, I think. I wasn't paying attention since M.S., Midnight Sparkle, and D.S., Demon Sunset, were arguing about who's goal was better again.
'How about you two shut up before I do something drastic,' I said to them in my head. I heard someone saying my name, trying to get my attention, "What? Sorry about that, my head was in the clouds."
The lady repeated, "Scootaloo said you have been having memory problems, is that true?" When I nodded she asked, "Do you remember who I am?" When I shook my head no she said, "My name is Viper Pit and I'm your caretaker and owner of the orphanage." I nodded in understanding and asked where my room is. "It's on the top floor at the last door to the left," was her answer. I thanked her and followed her directions to my room.
I passed by many open rooms, one was a small room that had the title 'Cafeteria,' another was a 'Play Room,' and there was a door that led outside to a small playground. I found the stairs and went up until there was no more stairs to go up. I went down the hallway and turned to the last door on the left, which looked like a normal dark wood door like all the others I passed.
I entered the door and found the room to have plain black walls with a bed against the wall with a nature, fire, and technology theme, a red dresser to the right of the door, a wardrobe to the left of the door, a bookshelf filled with books both fiction and non-fiction, and a balcony with a very small garden of flowers growing on the railing. I set my backpack next to the bed and changed to a different clothes before going to the balcony to see the front yard of the orphanage. I was now wearing a black shirt with a mirror that has fire, a flower, and sparkling dust in it's reflection and black pants.
I saw some other children walking to the gate with Sunset Shimmer leading them. I waved and they all waved back. I noticed the flowers are a little limp so I take the water can next to it and poured some water on the flowers to help them recover from so long without it. "Hey Midnight!" Sunset yelled from below my balcony. I looked over after putting the water can down and she asked, "Would you like to hang out with me and my friends?" I nodded and left her sight.
I went back in my room and took my sunglasses and headphones from my backpack along with a small speaker that was on my dresser, I then went downstairs and exited the building to follow Sunset. We walked through the gate and went to the right and passed the school after a few minutes. Sunset was tired of the silence, at least I think, and said, "So how has your day been so far?"
"It's been a little confusing since I'm having some memory problems," was my response.
She rose an eyebrow and said, "Really?" I nodded and she said, "What have you been forgetting exactly?"
"A lot of things, yesterday I had complete amnesia for a few hours. Then I started getting some memories back but there are still a lot of holes," I explained to her. She did a 'yikes' at that and she said she felt sorry.
'The real me would be laughing at this,' D.S. complained.
'Shut it Sunset! I'm trying to figure out how to force my magic to work in the real world,' M.S. yelled at D.S. I didn't pay any mind to that since I doubt M.S. could do that.
I was bored and decided to do some cartwheels and some flips to try and entertain myself, I was still bored but not as much. Sunset was slightly surprised at me doing this so casually. I stopped when we came upon the actual town since I don't want to hit people by accident. We stopped at a small cafe called Sugarcube Corner and entered to find six girls, they were all part of the band, calling us over. D.S. was seething in rage just by the sight of them.
"My goodness Midnight! Why must you wear something so bland?" the white skinned girl said in horror thanks to my choice of clothing and fashion.
"Because I don't really care about my looks unless it was really bad like in the morning without my hot chocolate...you don't want to know," was my answer to Rarity's question about my fashion choice. The pink girl asked what we all wanted. I wanted a chocolate milkshake, the cyan girl wanted a soda, the white girl [Message From Author: That sounds racist, it's not meant to be.] wanted some iced tea, the orange girl wanted apple juice, the yellow girl wanted lemonade, Twilight wanted a vanilla milkshake, and Sunset wanted orange juice.
When we got all our drinks and Pinkie getting herself a cookies and cream milkshake a purple rift seemed to open above us. 'It took forever but I did it!' M.S. shouted in cheer. I vine came out of the rift and grabbed us, along with our drinks, and pulled us through as if we were made of paper!
It was slightly painful and nauseating but when I opened my eyes I saw hooves instead of my hands. Of course I freaked out and more when I noticed I had HOLES in my appendages, legs and weird insect wings along with a horn, but at least I still have my color scheme. After my freak out I noticed others kinda similar to me freaking out as well, the only difference is that none of them had insect wings, most of them didn't even have wings.
The only one not freaking out was a being like the rest of us with just a horn and has same color scheme as Sunset. In fact she was only slightly freaked out by me of all of us, but I am the most odd looking so I'm not that surprised. The unicorn yelled out, "Pull yourselves together!" That made everyone stop what they were doing and listen. "Now then. We seem to be in the Everfree Forest in Equestria and unlike our Everfree this one is really dangerous so please continue your freak out when we are out of here." Yep that's Sunset.
We all got up and, after getting the hang of walking, started looking for a way out together.
What's A Changeling? "That's What You Are! But They're Usually Black And Blue, Who Are You?"
After wandering around for about two hours and Sunset having to deal with some wolves made of wood every once in a while we found a village and got out of that calming, at least to me, but dangerous forest. After we got out everyone sighed in relief, since their not wood wolf food I bet, and we continued down the road. "Stay with me girls and don't talk to anyone. They're probably going to think we're their version of ourselves," Sunset instructed us when we entered the town. Turns out we didn't need to since as soon as these beings saw me they screamed and went under lock down.
A tumbleweed passed by because of how quite it was. "Never mind. Let's get going, Twilight can send us back through the portal and we'll be home free!" Sunset said with excitement in her voice. We eventually stopped at a large tree made of crystal which shouldn't be possible according to Professor Starswirl's very thorough research on physics and how the world worked. 'Wait. Who the hay is Starswirl?' I asked myself.
M.S. answered by saying, 'Only the most greatest scientist to ever live! He's the whole reason we have the kind of technology we do now thanks to some of his theories on how electricity could be used.' I think I heard D.S growl in annoyance at M.S's fangirling. Me and the group quickly entered before closing the doors with haste.
"Is anyone here?" Sunset yelled through the hall, getting an echo in return.
"One moment!" Was that Twilight? But she's right next to me! But then again, Sunset did mention this was a parallel dimension so she's just this world's version of her or someone that just sounds exactly like her. Yeah, it's another Twilight. This second Twilight, wearing no glasses, came up to us slowly and stopped in front of Sunset with a slight bit of surprise coming off of her. "Oh! Sunset, what'er you doing here and how did I not see you go through the portal?" the pony Twilight asked. Then she noticed me,"Watch out!" Why did she blast a bolt of something, probably magic, at me! A strange black vine with spikes blasted through the door and took the hit before tying itself around Twilight and her horn, likely making her unable to use magic.
"Midnight stop!" Sunset told me. 'Hmm, it seems she got Gaia's magic when she faded from here,' D.S helpfully said. I no longer felt the need to be protected and, surprisingly, the vine let go of Twilight before leaving the castle and going back into the ground.
I immediately said, "Wasn't me!"
Twilight face-palmed with her hoof before saying, "Your horn was the only one glowing, I'm not fooled that easily changeling."
I rolled my eyes before saying, "Well I'm sorry but I don't even know how to use magic. We all just got here from our dimension after Midnight Sparkle somehow made a rift between our dimension and your's, causing us to be stuck here since Midnight literally wants to know EVERYTHING about magic and Equestria!" I was slightly panting after my little rant with the Twilight from my world looking at me in surprise, worry, and fear.
"Midnight Sparkle is still around?" she asked me with surprise. I simply nodded, explained my small situation, and asked where the library is.
"Down the hall then take a right, it's past the door at the end of that hall," the other Twilight then said. I thanked her and followed her directions until I made it to my destination. I then basically did a Twilight and made a mess of the library while reading every. Single. Book! Only to get rid of Sparkle of course and not because I was very curious myself at all.
After I read them all and put the books away I heard M.S. cheer in joy at all the knowledge and fade away but unlike last time, with Gaia Everfree, I had a surge of memories and knowledge swarm my brain. I saw Twilight talking to her dog, Spike, about her doubts and fears, I saw her draining the girls of their magic, I even saw her getting threatened by classmates in her previous school. It was very strange. I sorted the memories and looked through them, the last memory being when Twilight was no longer afraid of Midnight Sparkle during Camp Everfree and the beginning during the time she was a little girl.
'Finally! Now I don't have to be stuck with that idiot anymore,' I heard D.S. say in my head. Something tells me that she won't be leaving for a very long time no matter what I do. I turned around and saw the girls looking at their doubles and the Twilight's were staring at me strangely.
I cleared my throat, snapping the girls out of their trance or whatever, and said, "Now that I know everything about Equestria and M.S. is gone, how about we go back home before our families get sick from worry." They jumped at the suggestion and pony Twilight lead us to a spare room connected to the library that was mostly empty except for a large mirror connected to some contraptions and some furniture.
"This mirror is our side of the portal, when you walk through you should turn back to your old selves and be home free!" Twilight exclaimed. Everyone said their goodbyes and left one at a time with me and Sunset being the last ones.
"Well, it felt nice to be back even though it was only for a day. Until next time everypony," Sunset jumped through after that farewell.
"Adiós then I guess, Midnight Demon out. Goodnight as well," I said before jumping from a wall straight through the mirror, it's a rainbow tunnel in there if you were wondering. My momentum was still there when I went through and I landed doing a cartwheel.
"Nice entrance," Rainbow complimented. She was her old self except for a pair of wings, a ponytail hair do, and pony ears on her head that were slowly fading away as I was taking note of it, the others had the same thing happening to them except the wings, subtracting Fluttershy, including myself but the wings were insect like. I thanked Dash for the compliment and tried using some magic here with the new knowledge of spell casting I have. I succeeded in making a few flowers grow quickly and tried to make a portal to the orphanage which also had positive results.
"What street do you all live in?" I asked the girls. Fluttershy informed me that it was 'Sweet Friend Drive' and I made a portal to there after closing my previous one. "There we go, you may want to go through. A controlled rift like this is slightly hard to maintain and I would like you all to have an easier time getting home after everything," I told the seven girls.
They thanked me and said goodnight before going through. I sighed, relieved of no longer having to keep that portal open and made one to my room at home. I walked in and changed into my blue night wear before going to bed and closing my eyes. My dreams weren't kind that night.
