Twilight Sparkle was in her library one afternoon, searching through her shelves. Spotting a large, leather-bound book high on the shelves, she used her magic by making her horn glow. She lowered the book and floated it to the stand. She flipped through the pages until she found the right page.

There was a knock on the door and she looked up as the Pie sisters entered, Pinkie literally bouncing with excitement. "You wanted to see us? You got a spell for us?" she asked, speaking very quickly so it was hard to understand. The dull colored pony stood quietly, her expression dead-pan.

"Yes, I wanted to try a spell out and what better audience than you two? You ponies are so different, no offense, and I can get a better gauge on how other ponies would react to it." Twilight Sparkle explained. "Can I try it?"

"Sure, right Maud?" Pinkie Pie glanced at her sister.

"Yeah, sure." Maud replied in her monotone way.

"Now, I need to concentrate, so don't distract me, okay?" Twilight read the spell and closed her eyes. Her horn glowed.

Pinkie Pie grew impatient. "Is it working?" she demanded.

"Gah!" Twilight gasped, and her eyes shot open. A beam of light shot from her horn, hitting the window above, and split in two. One hit Maud and the other hit Pinkie Pie, causing a cloud of dust to block Twilight Sparkle's view and for her to cough. "Guys, are you all right?"

The dust cleared and Pinkie Pie gave her a dead-pan look. "I'm fine." she replied in a monotone voice. "You should watch where you aim your spells, Twilight."

"That was fun! Do it again, do it again!" Maud squealed, bouncing up and down.

Twilight's mouth dropped open in horror. "What have I done?"

"Tell the story again, Twlight," Applejack repeated for the third time, still not believing the story. "You said Maud is actin' like Pinkie Pie and Pinkie Pie is actin' like Maud?"

"Yes, that's exactly what I said." Twilight repeated with a sigh. She left the pair of newly changed sisters and rushed to her friends, confused and scared.

"Woah, woah, woah!" Rainbow Dash held up a hoof. "This is insane! What started this?"

"I wanted to try a spell for them and it must have rebounded off of something. When the dust cleared, they were like that." Twilight explained. "You gotta help me figure out how to fix this."

"We'll help you. Where are they now?" Rarity asked, placing a hoof on her friend's shoulder.

"I left them at my house. I was afraid to take them anywhere in their condition. You understand, right?" Twilight asked, hopefully.

"They'd probably get sent to Dr. Horse's Home for the Mentally Insane." Rainbow Dash joked.

"I don't think they would do that." Rarity sniffed. "There's no such thing. They'd probably take them to Princess Celestia and have her fix it."

"Let's do that, then." Rainbow Dash suggested.

"How are we going to get them to Canterlot?" Twilight Sparkle asked, concerned.

"How about we send a letter to Celestia explaining the problem and have her come here?" Spike suggested.

"Good idea!" Twilight took out a quill and a piece of parchment and wrote a letter. She handed it to Spike, who sent it to the usual way. It wasn't long before he belched up a reply. "Wow, that was fast." she muttered, unrolling it.

"Well, what does it say?" Rarity demanded as she read.

Twlight Sparkle sighed as she read out loud: "'I am sympathetic to your plight, but as I have taught you, only the one who casts the spell can undo it. It should be in one of your books. Best wishes and good luck on your task, Love Celestia.' Great. She can't help us. We'll have to find it ourselves."

The group headed to Twilight's house where Pinkie Pie was holding a rock. "What are you doing, Pinkie Pie?" Twilight Sparkle asked, concerned.

"Enjoying this rock, of course." Pinkie Pie replied. "You know what a rock's favorite music is?"

"What?" Twilight sighed.

"Rock and Roll." Pinkie Pie answered, without even a twitch of her lips.

There was laughter from the kitchen, and the group raised their eyebrows. "Where's Maud?" Rainbow Dash asked, noticing that Maud was missing.

"The kitchen. She said she wanted to make cupcakes for some reason." Pinkie Pie replied, returning to her rock.

Twilight went into her kitchen where Maud was throwing ingredients into a bowl with a fever pitch. "Maud, you all right?"

"Never better!" Maud replied cheerfully. "Where's my cannon?"

"Your confetti cannon? You don't have one." Twilight sighed.

"Of course I do. I LOVE confetti cannons." Maud gave an emphasis on the word love.

Twilight left the kitchen. "We need to get that spell found. Everyone spread out and find that spell. Anything about personality spells, get my attention immediately."

The group got to searching, the unicorns using magic to bring books down from the upper shelves. Finally, fifteen minutes, Rarity hollered over. "I think I found one!"

Twilight rushed over and read upside down. "That must be it! Go get them." she ordered.

Rainbow Dash and Spike brought Pinkie Pie and Maud into the room. Twilght closed her eyes and her horn glowed. "Ooh, you doing more magic?" Maud asked, bouncing up and down.

A beam shot into the air, hitting the window again, splitting in two, this time hitting Maud and Rainbow Dash. A cloud of dust rose up. When it cleared, an excited voice came from a surprising source. "Ooh, did it work?"

"Rainbow Dash? Why do you sound like Pinkie Pie?" the group asked, looking at the light blue Pegasus

"Why are you looking over there? I'm over-what the-?" Rainbow Dash's voice came from the other side and the group looked in the direction and saw Maud. "If I'm over there, then who am I?" She looked down and screamed in shock. "I'm Maud!"

"Okay, roll call, who's who?" Twilight asked, taking the leadership roll.

"I'm still Maud." Pinkie Pie raised a hoof.

"Rainbow Dash." Maud raised a hoof.

"Pinkie Pie at your service." Rainbow Dash gave a mock salute.

"Someone use magic to muzzle her so we can get into our regular bodies, please." Rainbow Dash in Maud's body groaned.

Rarity used her magic to muzzle Pinkie Pie in Rainbow Dash's body so Twilight could do the magic. Twilight closed her eyes and performed the magic. "Roll call?" she asked hesitantly.

"Rainbow Dash, at the speed of sound." Rainbow Dash said proudly, zooming around the room.

"Pinkie Pie!" Pinkie Pie bounced around the room, tooting a horn.

"Maud, of course." Maud replied, in a monotone voice.

"Note to self: either don't show Pinkie Pie magic or muzzle her first." Twilight muttered, and the group laughed.
