Prologue
Ponyville was buzzing with excitement as a baby shower was being held at Sugarcube corner for the most peculiar couple. The six of the mane seven were gathered around their dear friend Fluttershy. As she sat on a couch provided by Rarity in case of anything sever. she was gazing at the wonderful and thoughtful gifts her friends have given her with help from her husband Discord.
"Oh this one's from me." said the purple and orange pegasus known as Scootaloo exclaimed as Fluttershy picked it up. It was Scootaloo's scooter that she owned when she was a filly.
"Oh Scootaloo how thoughtful but won't you miss this?"
"Of course not ever since I started flying I haven't used it. It causes bad posture."
"Well I still thank you." Fluttershy said while patting her head. Suddenly Fluttershy felt a tug on her mane as she looked down to see a unicorn named sweetie Belle looking up at her. "Uh Auntie Fluttershy", the small alicorn said "do you know if your foal is a coal or filly?"
Rarity emerged from the crowd, "Most importantly is it pony shaped I only assumed due to my figures."
Fluttershy snickered at her friend. "Well girls by the doctor's predictions we are having a little filly but the doctor also said he can't tell what she is. In fact he can barely see her at all."
"Do you think she could have her father powers?" Questioned Princess Twilight Sparkle, "It is very common based on genetics."
"Uh that's what we need another chaotic being and a baby one on to of that." Rainbow Dash groaned a the thought of a mini Discord only to get disapproving glares from her friend.
Discord ignored his friend's blunt response and continued to answer Princess Twilight's question, "Moving on I honestly don't know when as Fluttershy said when she went to the doctor's for her check up he couldn't see or tell anything." This puzzled the group a baby chaotic being could be dangerous, but if she's normal then that means Discord is truly the only one with his powers.
Noticing her friends concerning looks Fluttershy put her hoof on her husbands shoulder for comfort, "Well whatever she is we will love her no matter what she will be our life and joy no matter what she is wether she has a snake tail, strange powers, or is just as normal as you and I she will still be loved by all." Hearing this her friends and husband start to smile. Knowing that Fluttershy loves her daughter so much no matter what shows how sweet and kind Fluttershy is, and ready she is. With hearing these words her friends remember all their adventures and how love and friendship got them through hardships. With hearing these word the siblings looked at each other and reminded themselves how lucky they are to have each other. these words brought everyone a smile and joy.
"Indeed she is our special girl." Discord said looking down at his beautiful wife. As soon as he said that the room got colder, the lights flickered, and fear was brought into everyones eyes. At of no where a low evil chuckle erupted throughout the room, hearing the some ponies coward down in fear, while others geared up ready to fight. Discord wraped himself around his wife with a mad look on his face to make sure no pony put a hoof on his wife or his unborn child. Next thing they know right in front of them a shadow with glowing blood red eyes, and with a cheesier cat like glair with two fangs. The mysterious being moved faster than light twoard the ponies it moved past the several attacks and defending ponies, and went straight to Fluttershy and picked her up carrying her away. The shadow was carrying her and struggling to hold her while Fluttershy tried to force himself out of his hooves, but with every struggle she grow weaker for the thing was trying to push itself in her. If it weren't Discord being overprotective of his wife and attacking the thing with full face and snatched his wife away Fluttershy would sure be gone and possibly dead. The thing felt weak and retreated into the shadows leaving the large group alone and confused. Fluttershy immediately passed out. Discord laid his wife on the couch while she regained her strength.
Sweetie Belle was behind her sister's legs scared, "What was that thing." She asked ever so fearful.
Twilight was just as confused was the others. many questions were swarming through her head, but she knew one thing was obvious, "I don't know what that thing is, but we all saw it go straight after Fluttershy and more specially I think it was after the baby."

Discord was in shocked at what Twilight said, "WHAT!!! Someone is after my child", His eyes had fire in his pupil to show he was angrier than usual, "What ever that thing is they must pay!" Discord almost flew out of sugarcube corner if it weren't for Twilight putting him in a magic bubble he would be long gone by now.
"Now hold on Discord we all know your upset but now is not the time to go after it. Fluttershy is weak and in shock from the attack and we don't know what that creature might of done to her, and may I remind that we have no idea who we are dealing with." She put discord down after he cooled of once he was on ground we went to Fluttershy to comfort her.
"I'll try to get a letter to the princesses but it might take awhile since Luna sleeps during the day and Celestia is you know." They all indeed know where the sun princess is, for she was with her lover on vacation in Manehattan, a King Sombra from an alternate dimension along with her new born son. Twilight cleared her throat to speak again, "I'll try to contact them, but in the mean time we need to get Flutters to a doctor, and not just any doctor someone who can cure her if that awful thing did anything to her.
The group thought for awhile until Applejack spoke up, "I know Zecora is always dealing with magical cures and alchemy she might have an idea."
"Great idea AJ", Twilight said surprised she didn't think of it sooner, "I'm sure she'll have an answer so lets split up, Discord you take Fluttershy to Zecora, she will need you the most when she recovers, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie you check around town ands if you can spot that creature, the rest of you come with me we're going to find some information on this thing. Lets all meet at the castle in an hour, Discord if Fluttershy isn't well by then keep her there, her health is the most important thing."
"Got it." Discord said as he gently picked up his wife and carried her to Zecora as gentle as he could, fearing that flying and teleporting would hurt her even more. Behind him the other ponies left Sugarcube Corner. the young fillies, Twilight, Starlight Glimmer, and Rarity went towards Twilight's castle while, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie searched around town. Neither of them noticed the pricing red reds through the bush watching their every move. As soon as the ponies were out of his sight he followed Discord to know if there will be anything about the things demise.

In the Everfree Forest there hold a lot of dangers. Such wild animals, strange plants and an always dark weather. Fluttershy was weak, but had her eyes barely open. When she noticed she was in the Everfree Forest she winched in fear into the arms of whoever held her. Then she realized she had no idea who was carrying her. Fearful and alarmed she looked up at the creature weakly. Noticing it was discord made her feel at ease at she relax back into him.
"D....Discord." Hearing his wife call his name Discord looked down at Fluttershy to see her weak with half opened eyes, but yet she was regaining strength and consciousness.
"Shhhhhh relax my dear we are almost at Zecora's." He didn't what was around them, timberwolves and rockodiles left and right, but that didn't matter. All he cared about was Fluttershy, the mare who was his first friend, the mare who was willing to give him a second chance, the mare who is so kind to all creatures no matter what, the bravest pony ever, his wife, and the mother to his daughter. if anything happened to the love of his life he would never forgive himself. He shuddered at the thought of the lord of chaos returning but that dissolved as the approached the small wooden hut with masks and talisman surrounding the outside. Discord knocked on the door as loud as he could hoping the zebra had an answer.
Annoyed with the loud knocks Zecora shouted from the inside, "Just a moment please, my I can't imagine anyone who is so unease." When she opened the door she was shocked at who she saw outside, "Discord!"
"Hello Zecora I wish this could be a peaceful conversation, but something happened and Fluttershy's is hurt and weak and we've been attacked can you help?"
"Ah bring her inside I have a brew that is bubbling why don't you come in side and tell me what is troubling." The zebra put Fluttershy on a bed while giving her the medicine to regain her strength. while Fluttershy was resting Zecora was trying to figure out what was wrong with her friend while Discord told what happened at Sugarcube Corner. When he got to the part about the the creature who attacked them Zecora almost dropped her cup.
"Oh no this is bad, I thought this day would never come but I was wrong." Her words almost made Discord drop his cup. Not only because of what she said, but the fact that she didn't rhyme was scary enough.
"Zecora you didn't rhyme!" Discord said with the most shocked look he has ever made.
"There is no time for rhymes, quickly we must tell this to Fluttershy." Still shocked and confused Discord follow Zecora into the room where Fluttershy laid. When they entered Fluttershy was sitting up on the bed and putting a hoof on her stomach with tears in her eyes indicating that she had heard Discord's story.
Discord didn't want his wife out of bed nor did he want her to be sad, "Fluttershy you shouldn't be up your still weak."
"Is it true was that thing really after my baby?" Fluttershy asked trying not to cry when she looked up at her husband.
"Indeed it was my child, and if you don't fix this soon Equestria will suffer and fall." Zecora said to Fluttershy.
"Oh my Celestia, your not rhyming Zecora!" Fluttershy exclaimed in shock while Discord gave her i know right kind of look.
Zecora just rolled her eyes, "If you are to understand this I must speak more clear. This thing does not have a name but it is feared throughout my home. This thing is the cause of all equestrian villains and it spreads darkness where ever it goes. that is how it gains its strength. when it has enough strength it will destroy Equestria." As Zecora recalled all the legends about the thing Fluttershy truly felt hopeless.
"Can't just Twilight and the gang use the elements of harmony on it thats how they defeat everything else." Discord said still trying to find hope.
"While the elements are strong but it can't defeat it, the only thing that leads to its demise is a prophecy." Zecora said as she was looking through her stuff for something. "Ah here it is."
"A child of the light, a child of the dark
will be the only one able to fight.
She will bring love and hope
something the darkness will not be able to cope .
But if she stays where she opens her eyes
she will be Equestria's demise.
She will return do not fear
She will be the savior we all hold dear
If the child understands herself she will set us all free
but if she falls dark hope is something we won't see."
"What does it mean a child of light and dark." Fluttershy asked confusingly.
"What mean child is that a filly will soon be born with opposite parents, one of harmony and one of darkness and the daughter must leave Equestrian and this dimension or she will instantly be killed and equestrian will fall to the thing."
Fluttershy felt sadness and pity, "Ah I feel awful to the parents of the child."
"Actually my dears your child is the chosen one." Zecora said pointing at the couple. "You represent the element of kindness while discord is the lord of chaos thus being light and dark."
Discord was in shocked he loved his child no matter what and he was not going to let her be taken away, "WHAT Zecora if you even think I'm going to sacrifice my daughter that you have some...!" Discord was cut of by Zecora so she can go into more depth.
"I know this is hard, but it is true your daughter is a creature who is a spawn from chaos and kindness she will be Equestria's savior if she leaves, if you two keep her she will be killed and Equestia will burn. This is something no parents must go through but she will return when the time is right you must be strong, if not for Equestrian the do it for her.
Fluttershy was crying from the sorrow , from the fact that she will lose her first child, "Oh Discord what are we going do."
Discord places a claw on his wife, "what ever we can do to make sure she's safe the baby is not due for a few months we have time to figure this out."
"Your right Zecora if you may I am still weak could I have some tea please?" Flutter shy asked to get her mind off of the current situation.
"Of course my dear, Discord may I have a word with you." Zecora gave Fluttershy her tea and went out with Discord to the main room. "Discord I know this is a lot but you must face the truth." Zecora gave him the prophecy, "Here give this to Princess Twilight she might know what to do, in the mean time spend all the time you can with her before she is gone because it will come sooner than you think." As soon as she said that the two heard a scream coming from Fluttershy's room the two rushed to her room only to see her howling in pain. Discord went to hold her hoof worried sick while Zecora checked her.
"That thing it cursed her for this baby is arriving three months early. Discord you fetch her friend s and tell them everything, I'll help Fluttershy through this."
"What you must be crazy for thinking I'll leave her alone through this."
"Discord you don't understand as soon as she is born this child will have to leave or that thing will come and kill us all starting with her." Discord didn't want to leave but hearing the Zebra's words he went to the main room and teleported them there. When they appeared with confused looks on their faces Discord explained to them everything. Meanwhile Zecora was struggling with keeping Fluttershy calm and delivering the baby but she pushed through. many things were going on the sudden delivery of the baby, Twilight, Starlight, and Discord doing something in Zecora's cauldron, and the others standing anxiously outside the door. Every pony was anxious, and waiting for what seemed like forever. that was till they heard a loud cry, and Zecora came out allowing some ponies in, but she didn't want to crowd Fluttershy so she had some stand outside. Discord looked at his wife then to the little body she held. The filly had a soft cream coat, with a beautiful, wavy red hair with streaks of orange and gold hair. Along with that she had a golden horn that look a lot like one of her fathers, along with the ears of a deer, a lion tail, a lion paw, and a deer hoof along with two pony hooves and a set of magnificent pair of wings that were pure black that is unlike any pegisi or alicorn.
"My dear it is time she must leave before it comes." Zecora said receiving many blank stares from the shocked ponies who heard the unrhyming zebra.
"Please Zecora I'm not ready i need more time." Fluttershy said crying.
"It's now or never either she leaves or we all don't have a chance."
"At least let me give her a name."
Zecora sighed. she knew it was risky, but Fluttershy was about to lose her foal, Zecora had to give her something. "Of course it's the least I can give to a mother losing her child." Fluttershy looked down at her daughter as she opened her teal eyes, like her mother.
"Hi little one, it's your mommy", Fluttershy said crying to her daughter, "I'm sorry that Daddy and I won't be with you, but you are going to be something great and something amazing. You are the most beautiful thing in all of Equestria, you are different from the all the other ponies, and a lot of ponies will make fun of you and call you ugly names for your appearance, but the ponies who really matter will hopefully yourself will see you as who you really are, beautiful, like a swan, so that's what I'm going to call you my little Swan." Fluttershy broke into tears as she hugged her daughter for the last time. Discord placed his paw on her. "It's beautiful I couldn't think of anything better." The small family embraced each other in a warm and teary hug. That was quickly disrupted when the cottage started to shake and something was pounding on the door.
"Fluttershy it is time do it now or we all will die." Zecora shouted at Fluttershy as the thing was coming . Reluctantly Fluttershy and Discord carried Swan out to the main room while the others were barricading the door and others were preparing to fight. Zecora guided the family to the cauldron.
"In this brew is a portal that leads to a world without magic and this is the only way to keep her safe all you have to do is put her in there this brew will do the rest." As much as they didn't want to leave their daughter, Fluttershy and Discord rather give her up and let her live than to let her die. they placed her over the cauldron and looked into her eyes one last time.
"We are sorry Swan. We love you with all of our heart." As the thing finally broke into the house, but it was too late as he watched the couple drop the baby, and Fluttershy and Discord looked down to see their Swan leave their sight.
