> V.R.W.S. > by FandomPlays1234 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Prologue: Escape into Paradise > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lawrence swallowed hard as held the visor in his hands. Never before had he felt so nervous about playing a game. He looked over to his left where his friend, Donny Whitestone, nodded back at him. He looked over to his right where his other friend, Zoe Elwood," clutched his arm tightly. "Hey it's ok, I'm sure someone can help us," said Lawrence. "How can you be sure?" asked Zoe. "Trust me if something were happen to you, I'll do everything I can to keep you safe," answered Lawrence. Suddenly a voice called out his name."Lawrence W. Bishop!" "Here!" Lawrence answered loudly. Just as he did, one of the resistance members walked up to him and checked his visors to make sure they were in working order and nodded at Lawrence. Lawrence nodded back as the man walked over to Zoe and checked her visors in the process. Lawrence took a deep breath. He could remember when he first heard the announcement. Origins Inc. had taken over the U.S. Government and was now planning a Global Genocide of humanity. This wasn't good but still nobody could oppose President Clydius B Forrsoft aka Clyde for short. The only option, escape into Paradise and seek help to put an end to Clyde's evil plans. "Alright it seems like everyone is ready," said a resistance member. "Good, everyone, you know what to do right?" asked the leader of the resistance. "Yes sir!" they all answered in unison. "Well then, prepare to enter Paradise!" ordered the leader. Everyone quickly strapped the visors and switched the on button as the machines whirred to life. "I wish you all the best of luck!" Lawrence closed his eyes as his entire world was warped away into the Virtual World. When Lawrence opened his eyes he found himself in a completely different world from where he was. The sun was shinning and all the technology was replaced by nature. He looked down at himself and found himself wearing a black shirt with black pants and black gloves. He reached over to his side and felt something wrapped around his waist. When he looked down, he found a sword and it's scabbard wrapped around him. "Hmm interesting," said Lawrence. He looked around to find himself alone in a plaza of a small village. "Welp welcome to Paradise I guess," Lawrence mumbled to himself. "If I'm going to stay here, I'll need a place to stay, better find one," Lawrence took one step to feel completely normal. "Huh I guess, this IS just VR so nothing should feel out of the ordinary," He began exploring the village hoping to find a motel or someplace that he can stay at for a while. Looking around he noticed that there were human figures but with some other animal parts attached to them such as fox ears or a cat's tail. others just looked like furries while others were completely human like with no animal characteristics to them at all. Lawrence continued to walk around in fascination when he noticed a young boy sitting on the side of the fountain while a white wolf slept next to him. "Maybe he can help me," Lawrence said to himself. Confidently he walked over to the boy. "Ahem excuse me, but would you mind helping me out?" he asked. The boy looked up at him. "Yeah sure, what can I do for you?" he asked politely. "You see I'm new here so I don't really know my way around, do you know where I can find a motel here?" Lawrence asked. "We don't have one," a female voice answered. Lawrence turned around to see nothing behind him. "Who said that?" Lawrence asked. "Said what?" asked the boy. "That voice," answered Lawrence. "You mean me?" asked the voice. Lawrence quickly looked over to the white wolf who was next to him. The wolf slowly raised it's head and opened it's eyes. "You asked a question did you not?" asked the wolf. "Whoa!" Lawrence yelped. "Hey Evie I told you not to speak, you scared him," said the boy. "My apologies good sir," said the wolf. "Oh no it's fine," said Lawrence. "You just startled me that's all," said Lawrence. "My name is Ray," said the boy holding out his hand. "Lawrence," said Lawrence shaking his hand. The wolf jumped down and walked over to him inspecting him. "Um Ray what's your wolf doing?" asked Lawrence. "Don't worry, even if she is a vicious wolf, she won't attack anybody unless they try to hurt me," answered Ray. "So it's like your guardian?" asked Lawrence. "Guess you could say that," answered the wolf. "Oh right, her name is Evie, she's my wolf sister," said Ray. "Your wolf sister?" asked Lawrence surprised. "Well he says wolf sister, but really I'm just looking after him like a guardian, anyway nice to meet you dear," said Evie. "Same here," said Lawrence. "By the way, you said you wanted to know where the nearest motel right?" asked Ray. Lawrence nodded. "I'm afraid to say anything, but you won't find one here," said Evie. "What why?" asked Lawrence. "Because of those damn A.P.S. officers of course," answered Ray. "A.P.S. officers?" asked Lawrence. "The Absolute Police Squadron, they are a group of officers that secretly works of the Origin's President," answered Evie. Lawrence's eyes widened as he grabbed Evie. "You know about Origins Inc!?" asked Lawrence. "Yeah, recently the A.P.S. has been walking around patrolling the area searching for something or someone," answered Ray. "They currently have the motel all to themselves, wouldn't mess with them if I were you," added Evie. "But I thought you said you guys didn't have a motel," said Lawrence. "We don't at the moment," said Ray. "But if you can get rid of those A.P.S. Officers, we might be able to take back that motel," Ray. "Alright I'll do what I can," said Lawrence. "Wait are you sure about this?" asked Evie. "Trust me I know what I'm doing," answered Lawrence. He turned around as he walked towards the motel with Ray and Evie following behind. > Chapter 1: Paradise's Most Wanted > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lawrence followed Ray and Evie as they slowly and cautiously lead him to the motel. The three eventually reach a small building standing towards the back of the village. Lawrence felt relieved that he found a place to stay, but when he looked over to Ray, he could tell that he was nervous. Now when the two mentioned officers, they obviously meant the police, but how could Ray be this terrified of the cops, Lawrence didn't understand. "Oh," Ray whimpered. Evie nudged his side and nodded. The two turned to face Lawrence. Taking a deep breath he entered the motel. But when he saw what was inside he was amazed at how looked. It didn't look like the Police was occupying the place and there was still visitors walking around. "Huh, it doesn't look that bad," said Lawrence. "The officers must not be here at the moment," said Evie. "Well better check in, you two stay here," said Lawrence as he made his way to the counter. The two took a seat on the bench near the doors as they waited for Lawrence to finish his business. That's when they noticed a small crowd of men surrounding a white pony with a purple mane and tail. She kept darting her blue eyes away from the gang members as they pulled at her mane and tail. Meanwhile, Lawrence had finished checking into his room. "Thanks for the keys," "Of course, please enjoy your stay sir," said the man. Lawrence was about to call out to Ray and Evie only to find them standing behind him. "Couldn't it still I presume?" asked Lawrence. Ray shook his head and pointed at the pony and gang members. Lawrence immediately took notice and so did the guy at the counter. "Oh great it's happening again," he groaned. "What is sir?" asked Ray. "Those guys are the Black Moon Bandits, they're a gang filled with notorious troublemakers, they've done nothing but cause trouble for our customers so we've brought in the A.P.S. in hopes to resolve the problem so we can get more customers, but the officers don't do anything and it only seems to get worse," he answered. "Well then I'll put an end to it," said Lawrence as he walked towards the gang. "Man he doesn't know fear does he?" asked Ray. Evie and the man followed after him with Ray tagging behind. As Lawrence got closer, he could hear the gang members laughing as they picked at the pony. "Please just let me go," whimpered the pony. "Aww what's wrong, can't you stay and play a little more?" laughed one of the gang members. "Hey," Lawrence called out. The pony and gang members turned towards him as Evie, Ray and the man walked up next to him. "I suggest you stop doing that," said Lawrence. "And who are you?" asked one of the man. "My name is Lawrence W. Bishop, and I'm telling you to let her go," said Lawrence. "Hmph, who are YOU to order us around like that?" sneered another man. "I'm warning you, push me any harder, and you'll regret it," warned Lawrence. "Oh what can a puny human like YOU do to us?" a voice asked. Lawrence looked between two guys as another man stood up and walked up to him. He was wearing torn jeans, a black vest with his tattoos showing. He had ear piercings and had spiky black hair. "Big Bro," one of the man said. "So you're the leader huh?" asked Lawrence. "That's right, and I'm warning you kid, if order us around like that, you'll get beat, bad," he said. "Hmph trying to scare me, you're gonna have to do better than that bitch," sneered Lawrence. "What was that?" asked the leader. "You think calling me names is cute?" "Almost as cute when you're wearing a dipper and crying for your mom," snickered Lawrence. "Ok that's it!" he said. He raised his fist and threw a punch at Lawrence causing Ray and the pony to cover their faces. There was a loud smack followed by multiple gasps. Ray and the pony opened their eyes to see the shocked expression on the leaders face and Lawrence holding onto his fist. "Hmph pathetic," said Lawrence. He threw the man's fist towards the left as he stepped forward and clapped his hands together real loud in front of the leader's face causing him to flinch. The gang members gasped as they saw their petrified leader suddenly get uppercut by Lawrence. The leader was sent flying into a pot of plant leaving everyone who saw shocked while the other guests started to take notice. Lawrence walked over and grabbed the leader by the collar of his shirt. The leader looked at Lawrence with a terrified expression as he placed the blade of his sword up to his throat. "Well?" Lawrence asked. "I'm sorry please let me go, I'll do anything I swear!!!!" the leader pleaded. "Fine, then take your gang and never come back," Lawrence ordered. The leader scrambled to his feet as he ran out with his gang following behind. Lawrence turned towards the pony and asked,"Hey are you ok?" "Yes I'm fine thanks to you," she answered "Great to hear, and now that they're gone, you shouldn't have too much problem gathering customers," said Lawrence. "I really appreciate it," said the man. "Oh before I forget, my name is Rarity," said the pony. "Lawrence, Lawrence W. Bishop," said Lawrence. "Well Lawrence, I would like to thank you for helping me out," said Rarity. "Anytime," said Lawrence. Suddenly the doors opened as two figures walked in. Both were wearing black bullet proof vests and helmets. They had similar black shirts, pants, and boots, and held black guns with a small container holding a small clear Prism just right above the trigger. "Well, well it seems we missed all the excitement," said one of the figures. "A.P.S. Officers, welcome back," said the man. "Thank you, Greg," said one of the officers. "Before we head back to our rooms, we wanted to give you this," said the second officer handing him an envelope. "Please be sure to look over it carefully," said the officer. "I'll be sure to do that," said Greg. The two officers turned around and walked off leaving us behind. "Well I suppose I should check out what this is all about," said Greg. He walked behind the counter and pulled out large piles of papers. "What's that?" asked Rarity. Lawrence could tell that it wasn't good from the tone of his gasp. "Oh no this isn't good," said Greg. "What is it?" asked Evie. "These are the list of Paradise's Most Wanted individuals," answered Greg. "And you won't believe this but, Lawrence you're on it!" Everyone looked towards Lawrence with a shocked or nervous look. "But I didn't do anything," said Lawrence. "I know you didn't, I'm sure there's an explanation for this," said Greg. "And I'll be sure to find it," said Lawrence. "But first, eat dinner, take a shower, and go to bed, you must be really exhausted," said Greg. 'I'll take you up on that word," said Lawrence. Without anymore arguments the four of them made their way to their rooms. They had to be ready for what the future brings. > Chapter 2: The Hunt Begins > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lawrence sipped his coffee while he read the morning paper. He had a disturbed look on his face as he read the headline. President Clyde orders the arrest of all gamer from the resistance. He slowly put down the paper and looked over to Rarity, Evie, and Ray who were each eating breakfast or doing some other. "So now that you're wanted, what are you going to do?" asked Ray. "Sure it's dangerous to go out when the police is searching for me, but I can't just sit around and let Clyde get away with this," answered Lawrence. "You mentioned that he was trying to start a global Genocide," said Evie munching on a piece of bacon. "Yes, Clyde states that our world is filled with people living for their own selfish reasons, therefore he believes that killing everyone is going to solve the problem," answered Lawrence. "But it isn't!" Rarity exclaims. "He doesn't want to accept the truth," said Lawrence. He put down the empty coffee cup along with four pieces of gold and headed out the motel cafe. The three looked at each other and ran out after him. They found him talking with Greg and watched him walk towards the door. "Wait you're leaving already?" asked Ray. "No just going out for a bit," answered Lawrence. "Then we're going with you darling," said Rarity. "I appreciate it," said Lawrence. The four walked out as the sunlight hit them on the face. 'Do you guys know where I can get some supplies?" "Oh if your looking for stuff then I know just the place, follow me," said Ray. Lawrence and Rarity followed Ray and Evie as they led them to a small building with a large sign that read Market hanging over the porch. "Hmm looks old, but better than nothing I guess," said Lawrence. He walked inside with Rarity, Ray, and Evie following behind. Inside looked like something from an old western movie, but just as the store suggested, there were different items being sold. "Why don't you three have a look around, I'm only here to buy some supplies," said Lawrence as he walked deeper into the store. The three looked at each other and split up. Meanwhile Lawrence held up different shirts up to himself to check his size always checking the tag until somebody spoke up. "Looking for shirts?" Lawrence turned around to see a pig wearing an eye patch and grey shirt with brown overalls. "Well yes and no, just need some supplies," answered Lawrence. "Traveling supplies I assume?" asked the pig. "Wow you're good," said Lawrence. "Trust me, Pork Rinds has had a lot of customers," said the pig. "Is that the name of this place?" asked Lawrence. "Yeah, my market, I'm Pork Rinds," said the pig. "Lawrence," he said picking out some clothes," "Well Lawrence take all the time you need, we're open 24/7" said Pork Rind. "Thanks," said Lawrence. He walked over to the soup isle and picked up a can. It had a small drawing of a cartoon demon with the classic Pac-man eyes. "Bacon Soup?" asked Lawrence. "Yeah, that's what it says but really it's nothing but ink," answered Pork. "Ink?" asked Lawrence. Pork nodded but Lawrence wasn't buying it, who would sell a can of ink called Bacon Soup. He put the can back deciding not to question it and returned to his shopping. Once he had everything he needed he walked up to the counter to get in line. In front of him was a small grey bunny wearing a police uniform and a orange fox with a green shirt. They seemed to be talking about something and wasn't moving. "Um excuse me but if you're not paying may I go?" asked Lawrence. "Oh of course sure, sorry about that," said the bunny. She moved out of the way holding a bag full of carrots. Lawrence walked up and dropped his stuff on the counter as he was joined by Rarity, Ray and Evie. "Well what do you think?" asked Lawrence. "Nothing interesting," answered Rarity. "I see that's too bad I suppose," said Lawrence. "That'll be 20 pieces of gold," Pork Rind spoke up. Lawrence dug 20 pieces of gold nuggets and pushed them towards Pork Rind. He happily took the Gold and placed it in his register as he gave Lawrence the bag with his things. "Thanks," said Lawrence taking the bag. "Oh no," the bunny said. Lawrence turned around. to see her digging through her wallet. "Something wrong carrots?" asked the fox. "I don't have enough," answered the bunny. "Miss if you can't pay for those carrots, I'm going to have to ask you to return them," said Pork Rind. The bunny tried to oppose before Lawrence spoke up. "I'll pay for them," everyone looked at him with surprised looks on their faces. "Oh no sir you don't have to do that," said the bunny. "No, no I insist," said Lawrence. He turned towards Pork and asked,"How much?" "5 gold per carrot pack," answered Pork. Lawrence signaled the bunny to place the carrots on the counter. Hesitant at first, she eventually gave in and placed the carrots on the counter. Pork Rind began tapping on the register and nodded. "10 Gold," said Pork. Lawrence dug in his wallet and pulled out 10 gold nuggets and gave them to him. Pork took the gold and pushed the carrots back to the bunny. Lawrence thanked Pork Rind and started towards the door when suddenly two A.P.S. Officers walked in. "What can I do for you officers?" asked Pork Rind. "We're here because someone reported a wanted is shopping here," answered on of the officers. The second officer looked at Lawrence and pointed at him. "Him, that's him!" The first officer walked up to him and held up a pair of handcuffs. "Mr. W. Bishop right?" asked the Officer. "That's right," answered Lawrence. "I thought so," said the Officer. "Go ahead I know what you're here for, take me" said Lawrence. The officer chuckled as he cuffed one hand when suddenly Lawrence reached out and grabbed the blaster and pulled the officer towards him. Lawrence slammed his head against the officers forcing him to release the blaster. The second officer raised his own and attempted to shoot Lawrence before he turned around and shot the officer multiple times in the chest. The officer fell back and collapsed on the ground. 'What the hell?" asked Ray. "You may have bullet proof vests, but they ain't laser proof," said Lawrence. The first officer slowly began to rise just as Lawrence pointed the blaster at his forehead. "Zap, zap boom, bitch," said Lawrence as he shot the first officer in the face. The officer fell back and down the porch, dead. "Oh my Celestia," gasped Rarity. "Come on, let's get outta here," said Lawrence. he threw the blaster on the ground and walked out as Ray, Evie, and Rarity followed him. "Nick what did we just see?" asked the bunny. "I don't know Judy, I don't know," answered the fox. The two stared in awe as they watched Lawrence and the three walk back to the motel. > Chapter 3: Teaming with Villains > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- One of officers fell back as Donny punched him in the face. He'd been taking out these weird Police Officers for two days now, and still hasn't found a city to hide in. If he recalled these were some of Clyde's Absolute Police Squadron aka his A.P.S officers that were hunting him down. He couldn't figure out how they found him but right now there were bigger things to worry about. At least he was lucky enough to befriend that strange pony/insect hybrid. There were weird creatures in this world and she was no different. "I said back off!" Donny yelled kicking a second officer. "What exactly did you do?" asked the pony. "Nothing, these guys are just trying to stop us from interfering with their boss's plans," answered Donny. "Hmph reminds me of those six back where I came from," said the pony. "Chrysalis you kept mentioning 'those six' since we first met, do you really hate them THAT much?" asked Donny. Chrysalis zapped an officer with her magic and nodded. "They're the very bane of my existence," answered Chrysalis. Donny quickly tuned around and knocked the blaster out of another officer's hands and hit them with his hammer. "Where are the others?" asked Donny. "They should catch up with us eventually," answered Chrysalis. Donny stopped to catch his breath as he looked around to see all the unconscious A.P.S. officers scattered around. "Wow what a big mess you made there," a voice spoke up. Donny and Chrysalis turned around to see three figures standing behind them. One of them looked human like Donny. He was wearing a black hoodie with multiple tears and pants of the same color along with a red fanny pack and red shoes. His blonde hair came over his left eye while leaving the right completely exposed. Next to him was a young girl with white/grey colored hair in one of those little maiden outfits. Vines were wrapped around her left arm and up leading to a small yellow flower with face on the center. "Flowey, Gladion, and Sakuya Izayoi, took you three long enough to get here," said Donny. "Hmph, those A.P.S. officers back there really put up a fight, took us quite a while to stop them in their tracks," Sakuya smirked. "I really enjoyed shooting them in the face with their own blasters," laughed Flowey. "Hmph persistent aren't they?" asked Gladion. "Look, I know they're annoying, but staying out here will only attract more attention to ourselves, let's hurry up and find the nearest city," said Donny. "Sounds like a plan," said Chrysalis. The other three nodded in agreement. "Well then let's go," said Donny. he began walking once again at a fast pace as the four tagged along behind him. Zoe plucked the arrow from the Officer's chest as she took her time to catch her breath. Her fox ears twitched, listening to any sounds coming from around her. She didn't remember the last time she came here so seeing her avatar seemed brand new to her. Of course she picked the female archer with the fox ears only because her favorite animal was the fox. "You ok?" a voice asked. She looked over to see Applejack holding out a cup of water. "Yeah thanks," answered Zoe taking the cup. She drank half the cup before letting out a large gasp. "Man that's refreshing," said Zoe. "Well y'all lucky that there market was close by," said Applejack. "Definitely," said Zoe drinking the rest of the cup. She looked over to Meta Knight who was still keeping watch. "I hope he's doing alright," said Zoe. "Ahm sure he's doin fine sugarcube," said Applejack. "Yeah I guess, but one things for sure, these guys somehow knew I was here," said Zoe kicking the dead A.P.S. Officer's body. "Y'all mentioned that they were huntin' you down for some reason, what is it that they want?" asked Applejack. "I don't know to be honest, hopefully I'll understand eventually," answered Zoe. "Yes I'm sure you will," a voice added. Zoe let out an irritated sigh as she shook her head in disapproval,"Scar must you comment on everything I say?" Zoe asked. "Look I only agreed to help you out because of our deal, truthfully I don't want to be here when I have better things to do with my time," said Scar walking up to her side. "Alright I'm sorry," said Zoe. "Apologies accepted," said Scar. "Miss Zoe," Meta Knight called out to her. "What is it?" asked Zoe. "It's about time that we switch shifts," said Meta Knight. "Oh right," said Zoe. She looked over to Applejack and nodded. "Don't worry sugarcube, I got this," said Applejack walking to the top of the hill. "Well, it's about time for me to get some sleep as well," said Scar walking over to his rock. Zoe looked up towards the night sky and sighed. "I hope Lawrence and Donny are doing fine," said Zoe. She curled up in her sleeping bag and closed her eyes. Hopefully she can get some sleep this time. Lawrence sat silently as Ray, Evie, and Rarity ate their last remaining pieces of chicken. He looked down at the photo of him standing next to Donny and Zoe when they went to Paris for a vacation. Just looking at it bought back the great memories he had with his friends. Although it was weird why he was transported into paradise separately from his friends. He shook out the thought. Now wasn't the time, he had to get some sleep before they start moving again in the morning. "Ah that was good," said Ray throwing his stick into the fire. "Indeed, to think that Lawrence was such a good chef," said Rarity. "Well I have studied Culinary Arts back in high school," said Lawrence. "High School?" asked Evie. "It's a human thing," answered Lawrence. "Oh," said Evie. 'Well enough of that, let's get some sleep," said Ray. The other three nodded in agreement and was just about to head off to their tents when Lawrence stopped them. "Wait," the group stopped in their tracks immediately. "What is it?" asked Rarity. "Shh," Lawrence shushed. The group shut their mouth to listen. They could hear some distant rustling somewhere. "Do you hear that?" asked Lawrence. "Yeah," answered Evie. They quickly silenced themselves as the sound began to approach them. Lawrence quickly grabbed the four and dove into the grass away from the campfire. "Hey what's the deal?" asked Ray. Lawrence shushed him as he looked through the grass. Peering through he could see three A.P.S. Officers emerge from the tall grass across from them. "Damn, it's empty," said one of the officers. "I told you it was a fake," said a second. "Well what you'd expect?" asked the first. "Aye, you said to come check it out, by now we could've found at least one of those wanted," said the third. "Well you two decided to follow me, I said I'll come check it out myself," said the first. "Enough, arguing isn't going to change anything, we need to keep searching," said the third. The two Officers continued to argue with one another as the three left the spot. After a while the four walked out of the grass letting out sighs of relief. "That was close," said Rarity. "Too close even," said Evie. "Come on let's get some sleep, we need to get some rest so we can be ready for tomorrow," said Lawrence. The four said their good nights as they walked into their tents for the night.
