> The Legend of the Sonitus > by Daviez > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter One [Prologue]: The Creation of the Sonitus > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few years before the Royal sisters were born, known as Celestia and her younger sister Luna, the wizards of the Royal family wanted to make a group of modified version of ponies under the service of the Royal family. The decided purpose was to make a group of special spy ponies, this group and project were called as Sonitus later. The project was hard to execute, because the wizards needed eight new-born ponies at the same time for the project to be successful. Later after a few months, by the help of the Royal family they were able to gather the given number of new-born ponies, strangely they all were fillies. The parents given their fillies freely and they were not forced to make this decision. They gave them in the hope of a better life among the Royal family. They were two earth ponies, two Pegasus pony and four unicorns. The little fillies couldn't even move they had no name they couldn't even see the world around them; they all were only just a few days old. The Royal family and the wizards named them - although no one knew in wherein they will be prominent - in order from one to eight: Firoxia, the brave; Fidelia, the loyal; Concia, the hopeful; Tinax, the strong; Risla, the determined; Stratin, the kind, Palor, the wanderer and Pruden, the wise. After some days they were strong enough to stand up and stay still, and the wizards started the second phase of the project. Sadly the process was a little bit cruel and rough to the little fillies. They all were chained down in one place to prevent them from escape, although it was not like they could do anything against it. The wizards started to channel a spell at the same time and a huge blue glowing mark started to appear beneath the fillies, all of them were scared and they started to cry. After many hours of crying the fillies were too tired and later they lost their consciousness and they all collapsed on the floor by one by one. The process took one and a half day without food or water. The Sonitus was officially made. The spell, which is forbidden now, had advantages but many other disadvantages and side effects. The spell sacrificed their horns and wings to give them alicorn-like immortality and a few special skills, and by unknown reason they were also marked where their cutie marks would be later, this meant that they will never be able to get a cutie marks. Though they lost their horns and wings, by the marks on their bodies they are all able to use magic, and use their specific Air-walk spell which helps them to literally walk in the air instead of flying. The main purpose of the mark was to give them a special ability, Camouflage, with this ability or spell they were able to be fully invisible for over hours and they discovered a side effect, but maybe as a good one, because during this time they didn't breathed. Later this also allowed them to be under water continuously. It's true that they all received alicorn like immortality, but still they are not invulnerable or invincible and they just live as long as an alicorn. They are what they were made to, the perfect spy ponies in Equestria. Around two months later Celestia was born, and later Luna too. Because the Royal family and the wizards held this project and the group as secret, the fillies were raised as eight sisters amongst the two royal sisters, and they never knew that they had real parents. The Royal family and the wizards always told them that they were made by magic and they had no parents or real family. They used them to spy on other important ponies, at unsafe places or just simply to know what is going on at villages and cities in Equestria. The leaders of the royal guards and other ponies on similar position trained them. During their training they found out, that the spy ponies are more muscular and stronger than an average trained mare. > Chapter Two: The life of the Sonitus > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Years later after the Sonitus was made, the Royal family prescribed the training of the little fillies for their future missions. To be able to hold their own in hoof to hoof combat, if something would go bad on a mission, their leaders and the highest positioned guards trained them in combat. A couple of months later almost all of them were bored of the training and some of them really hated it, since it always started early in the morning before the sun came up every day. The only one who loved training was Tinax. However, Palor completely hated it, she was always a lazy one. "Wake up everypony! Training time! " Tinax shouted to wake up her sisters. "The sun isn't even up yet! Let me sleep" Palor answered tiredly. "Let us sleep; I'm totally bored of these early morning trainings…" said Risla while she threw a pillow at Tinax "…why do we even have to train in the early morning?" continued Risla. Fidelia sighed and said, "Guys…we do the same thing every morning, just get up and go. It's not like I like training, I just don't want to get punished because of it." So they all prepared themselves and went to do the training, again. "You know Concia, do you know what the best part about training every day?" Palor asked during the training. "Um, no. What?" Concia asked interested. "We are all immortal." Palor answered, and laughed. "Wow. Joke of the year Palor…" said Concia bored. Training was almost the same every day and it took 7 hours with very few breaks. They usually arrived home an hour before lunch. After they had lunch, for the first time the Royal family allowed them to leave Canterlot castle. When they heard this, they all were surprised. A royal guard holding something arrived to their room. "Ladies, take these before you all leave the castle, please!" said the royal guard. Fidelia went to the guard and took the stuff and checked it. "Capes. Are you kidding me? We all should wear these white capes outside?" said Fidelia disappointingly. "I'm sorry. I only fulfill the command of the Royal family. I think they don't want you all to draw any attention to the public with your marks." said the royal guard. "Yeah, I guess wearing a white cape all over your body is not conspicuous at all, but at least they don't see our marks." Fidelia answered. After they got their capes, they were really disappointed that they had to hide themselves, although a little bit they understood from their point of view too. But this went away fast, because they all were happy right after they went outside. Finally they saw some normal, not royal family members, not guards or wizards; just simple normal ponies in Canterlot. Their time was limited outside, because nopony could know their existence, though a few times many other ponies asked them why they wore white capes. They were happy that they could be outside from the castle, but after several times the cape started to annoy them. One day they had a debate because of it before they went out. "Okay guys, you are all ready?" Firoxia asked them. "Yep", "Yes", "I'm ready" they answered. "Okay, then just a few minutes and we are allowed to-" Firoxia stopped and looked at Fidelia "Fidelia, why aren't you wearing your cape?" "I...um... I lost it" "It's behind you on your bed." "Um… it's too small…" "It was good for you yesterday." "The fabric, I'm itching from it" "Nothing's wrong with it put on your cape already!" said Firoxia angrily. "But I don't want to!" Fidelia shouted at Firoxia "Why do we have to wear these all the time? Why? Everypony is just asking us why do we wear them, what's the matter with us! Where we are from! What are we!?! Everyone is just staring at us every time we go out like they never saw a pony in their life! I've had enough of it!" "Oh yeah? Do you think it is a pleasure for me or for any of us to wear them? I and all your other sisters hate it too, like you, but we still wear them, because we have to! What do you think you would say to the ponies out there? You would say that "Oh, hello stranger I'm a spy pony we were magically made by the Royal family so we are not even normal ponies with magical abilities to stalk and spy on other ponies all over Equestria just for fun" or what?" A moment of silence later: "I-I'm sorry sis, you know this just annoyed me, I thought that you are all okay with this cape thing, but I guess I was wrong. Forgive me" Fidelia answered thoughtfully. "No problem, sis, but please don't forget that we are sisters and also a team, let us know if something bothers you." *Group hug* At least they had a good place to be at, a confectionery. The stallion who had owned the confectionery was a brother of a royal guard and he knew who they were and why are they wearing capes, so he informed the costumers to not ask them why do they have to wear capes or ask any strange question about them. Many weeks later after this incident a part of Canterlot accepted them as they were and they didn't ask them anymore questions and this highly supported their integration. Months of trainings later they were ready for their first mission and the Royal family commanded them. "Okay guys, so they appointed me to be the leader of the team during our first mission, so follow me." said Stratin. They went to Everfree Forest and before they went in Stratin discussed the tactics: "Listen up! Before we go in, I must tell you the mission objectives. We are looking for a small lodge somewhere inside the forest. It is unknown that are there any pony or any other creature inside or around it. Anything that owns the lodge is trying to hide something from the Royal family. We don't know if it is safe or not. We have to look around and know what's going on there. That's all. Everything clear? ". "Well, because I guess we will go in camouflage I know that no one will see us, but here comes the problem, how will we see each other? We never tried this out." Pruden asked. "Hmm, although we never tried it out, but in theory we should be able to see each other, because a camouflaged pony can see another pony in camouflage. But let's try it out here. Camouflage up! " said Stratin and they all went into camouflage "Okay I can see everyone, though not totally clearly, but not a problem. Okay be ready guys, don't forget to avoid bushes, they make loud noises, so let's go!" And they all went into the dark Everfree Forest in the hope they will find the small lodge. They moved slowly, to not make noises because of the environment. Half an hour had elapsed and they found a dark greenish colored small lodge. By its color maybe someone really wanted to hide it. They approached the lodge and they saw dim lights coming out of its window. Firoxia went under the window and looked in. Palor started to walk backward, but she accidentally stepped on a branch and it made a loud crack sound. Immediately an unknown pony looked out of the window, he looked into Feroxia eyes, she was just centimeters away from the unknown pony, then he just turned around and went back inside. Feroxia was scared, but luckily she remembered that she was still camouflaged and the other pony couldn't see her. She slowly started to go back to her sisters and then they left the place. "I've never been so scared in my life." said Feroxia. "This was really close, it's fortunate that we can be invisible" Tinax replied. "Okay, calm down sis. Can you tell us what happened inside there?" Stratin asked. "You won't believe me, but the only things I could see inside there were…" "Were what?" Palor interrupted. "Pies." "PIES!?" Everyone asked loudly. "Yes, pies, a lot of pies everywhere. The light was come from their oven." "And could you hear them? What did they say?" Stratin asked her. "They didn't say anything." "Then…ugh… then why were you staying so long at the window?" "Those pies looked so delicious." said Feroxia with a big smile on her face. Straton couldn't say anything else, she couldn't take it anymore and just simply facehoofed herself, and they went back to the castle. After the mission, because Straton was the team leader for that time, she had to make a report to the Royalty. Well everyone could agree in that it was quite awkward. Their first mission was done, and later they got many others and they all were successful. One day the Royal family separated them, so they all had their own rooms next to each other. It was a nice day, their life day by day were almost the same, so they were happy about it; finally something unusual and new happened. Couple of weeks later something happened. One night Palor was coming up to her room over the hallway with some snacks and some drinks as she usually did when she noticed something. She heard something or somepony. The voice came from their rooms, so she checked them, she checked all except her room the last room was Fidelia's room, so she went in, she saw that Fidelia was twitching in her bed, she was crying and she constantly said: "Why? Why? Why? No this is can't be." Palor went to her and tried to wake her up. "No this is can't be. No. No. NOOOO-" screamed Fidelia and then she woke up. "Sister, are you okay? What happened?" – Palor asked. "I-I had a horrible nightmare." said Fidelia gaspingly as she was scared. "Okay, it's alright sister. Calm down, it's over now" said Palor. > Chapter Three: The Betrayal > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After Fidelia’s nightmare Palor was quite curious about her dream. However, for the next few days Palor didn’t wanted to bother Fidelia with it so she didn’t ask about it. She was lazy to ask her so after some time she forgot it. One night she went out for a snack again and on her way back to her room she heard quiet talking again. She immediately ran into Fidelia’s room, and she saw that Fidelia was screaming and crying in her sleep. She said the same thing again and again like she did it last time. Palor woke her up again. - “I’m here, don’t be afraid it was just a nightmare again” – said Palor while she tried to calm her down. - “It-it was horrible, sis, it was horrible.” – said Fidelia while she was crying. - “Wait here, I bring something to drink, maybe it will help a little bit.” – said Palor and went out of the room. - “Thank you, sister.” – Fidelia replied. Moments later Palor came back to Fidelia with a drink and also brought a snack and tissues for her. - “Here, drink this, this is my specialty.” – said Palor and gave her the cup of drink. Palor looked on Fidelia and then down and asked – “Was that the same nightmare you had like last time?” Fidelia took a deep breath and answered. - “Yes. Unfortunately, yes.” - “Would you like to talk about it?” – Palor asked. - “I would, but I don’t want to, sorry. It was just too horrible to talk about it.” – Fidelia answered. - “Okay, no problem, sis.” – said Palor while she nodded. This whole nightmare thing stayed between them and they never told to others. Almost every week Fidelia had the same nightmare. She was able to handle it, with the help of Palor she was always with her during those nights. Luckily this hasn’t affected her life too much, although she was a bit tired on those days when she had a nightmare. One day while they were going on a mission Fidelia saw something in Canterlot, another place above the Canterlot library. Though they lived in Canterlot with the Royal family they didn’t knew all the places, because they were not allowed to go to some places where only the Royalty were allowed. She was really curious for some reason. - “Anyone knows what’s that place above the Canterlot library?” – Fidelia asked. - “I’m not really sure, but as I heard before, it’s a secret library.” – Pruden replied. - “Secret library? For what?” - “Well, like I said, I’m not sure, but I'd guess that they maybe store ancient parchments and books there from others. What else could be in a secret library?” They went away, but Fidelia was still curious. - “That place looked like what I’ve seen in my nightmare. I should get more information about that place” – thought to herself. The next day after their training, Fidelia went to their trainer Lightwing. She just stood in one place behind her trainer, and he looked on Fidelia. - “Tell me, what you want Fidelia.” – Lightwing asked. - “I would like to ask something, Lightwing.” - “Go on.” - “May I ask what is that place above the Canterlot library?” - “I’m sorry Fidelia, but I can’t tell anything about that place.” - “Tell, me is it really a secret library?” - “Silence gives consent, and I don’t say anything. Now if you would leave, please.” – Lightwing replied with a little grin on his face. Fidelia smiled. - “Thank you, Lightwing.” – said Fidelia and she left. Several days later she went to the Canterlot library in the hope maybe she can find something about the place. Over several days she looked through hundreds of books, but yet she found nothing. Her sisters noticed her curiosity over things. Palor suspected what is Fidelia looking for, but she didn’t mention it to anyone else. The only thing they knew was that she was looking for information about that secret library. One night Fidelia had a dream, but now it wasn’t her usual nightmare, it was about something else. When she woke up in the morning she remembered a parchment from her dream. It was strange because in the Canterlot library there were only normal books, but no parchments. Later that day she went to the library. - “Maybe if I go over the whole place I will recognize the place where I saw the parchment.” – thought to herself. The Canterlot library was a really huge library, so it took some time till she could go over the whole place. On the first day she wasn’t successful, but the next day she tried again and continued to find the place what she saw in her dreams. - “Already three hours passed and yet nothing.” She continued the search. - “Wait! I think that part look similar to what I’ve seen.” – thought to herself. She went to the section and to the part where she saw the parchment and looked up. She was really surprised. - ““Dreams” section? This is getting really weird.” – said with big open eyes. – “If I remember well I saw the parchment right behind one of these books here. These are quite interesting books all about wizards, sorceress, black magic, legends, betrayals, myths… oh wait I think I saw something behind the previous one.” – and she took out the book about betrayals and the parchment was right behind it. - “Who’s that who put a parchment behind these books and why is it even here. I’m getting a bit scared.” – she said took the parchment and left the library. Fidelia went back; it was dark so she hid the parchment in her room. The next day she read the parchment, but unfortunately the whole text on it was written in another language. She spent the next few days in the library to figure out what does the text says on it. She spent around a week and a half on it to translate the text; luckily she found a book which helped her. She finally had the text, though it was not fully translated, it was about the secret library just as she thought the translated text was enough to know how to get inside the secret library. During Fidelia’s research they had their own party, because they were twenty years old. They haven’t celebrated their “birthdays” every time because they knew that they were “made” and not born, but although they called it “birthday party” just for fun. They had quarrels like everyone else, but they were happy and they loved each other. One night Fidelia took the effort to get inside the secret library. She had to use her camouflage to go through the guards. In the library she successfully found an entrance which led to a caracole. It was dark inside there she only carried a little light to see the paper. At the end of the caracole there was a huge locked door, but there was one problem with it. - “Finally the locked door. The paper says I have to use magic to open it, well that’s not a big problem.” – thought to herself as she approached the door, and then she looked closer – “ARE YOU- I mean, are you kidding me? I need a horn too to open the door? The paper only mentions magic, but not horns…great.” – said quietly. She couldn’t go inside, because unfortunately they had neither horns nor wings. So she went back to sleep, and decided to try it the next night. Before the next night, she made a fake horn made of paper and she hoped that it will work with a little extra magic. The night has come and she went to the locked door again and tried to open it. - “Please, please work!” – she said while she put the fake horn into the lock. Then the door started to slowly open. - “I can’t believe that it’s working!” She went in, the place was huge, not as huge as the base library, but it was still huge. She started to look around maybe she finds something. She took down some other old parchments. While she was searching she saw something, she noticed a word on a parchment it was “Sonitus”. - “This has to be something useful.” – she said while she started to read the parchment - “Well, nothing useful yet.” – said and she turned the parchment. – “Let’s see, what is this? Royal commands?” She started to read them all, they were all usual commands when suddenly. - “Wait, order zero?” – she said and he started to read it, when around half of it she just slowly looked up, started to tremble and shed tears and then cried. - “So, my dream, my nightmare, it was all true.” – said while she quietly cried. The parchment contained the following text: “Order Zero: the Royal family has the right and ability to order the execution of the Sonitus if they turn against the Royal family or if something suspicious happens. The execution can only happen at midnight.” - “So we were just objects for them all the time what they can finish off whenever they want to. I just can’t believe this.” – she said and then she ran back to her room. She couldn’t sleep, she cried all throughout the night. From that night her life changed. Fidelia was scared, since that day she couldn’t sleep one night. Every night she was awake and she waited for the death she couldn’t think about anything else. Obviously her sisters noticed this, like they did when she had the nightmares, but she hasn’t told them anything. They all worried about her, because she never slept at night and she was really tired during the rest of the day. She only could sleep a little bit during the daytime, but this only helped a little on her part, she was still tired every day. She had to skip their missions; she only went on mission that were during the night. Due to tiredness she slowly started to go crazy and she was shaking. Her sisters tried to help on her; they did everything what they could. On a night when she was awake she was thinking. - “I just can’t take this anymore. I’m just waiting for the death like this?” – she said as she sounded bit crazy. – “I know, why I should wait till they betray and kill us? I have to do this first; I have nothing to lose now. Celestia’s weakness is her sister Luna, but I don’t want to hurt Luna, she is truly kind I always loved her as a sister. But maybe I can do one thing…” Some days later on a night again, Fidelia was out on the balcony looking at the stars and the moon, when Luna showed up. - “Fidelia, my dear, what are you doing here in the night?” – Luna asked. - “As usual I can’t sleep and I’m just looking at the moon and the stars.” – Fidelia replied. - “They are beautiful aren’t they?” - “Yes, they are. Aren’t you sad of it?” - “Sad? Why would I?” - “Well you know, you as the princess of the moon and night, for me it is so sad that so less pony see this beautiful night.” - “Um… What do you mean by this?” - “While the ponies are mostly active during the daytime when the Sun is up, and it’s all good for them, they love the daytime. While when the night comes they all sleep and never care about the beauty of the night just only a few one. In fact, they hide from the night everyone is feared of the night because of the dark. Doesn’t this make you a little bit angry at your sister?” - “Well, I...um…I’m not sure, maybe sometimes I think about it, but I don’t think I could be angry at my sister.” - “Oh I see. So you live in the shadow of your sister? As you want Luna, anyway, I always preferred you more than Celestia.” - “This makes no sense, Fidelia, please stop this.” - “Makes no sense? Then why do ponies celebrate the sunrise, but never the moonrise?” - “This little conversation stays between us.” – after a minute Luna replied and went to her room. - “As you want, my princess, as…you…want.” – said Fidelia, with a small evil grin on her face. Although Luna got angry this night because of Fidelia, they continued to talk almost every night about it. Months later a tragedy happened. Luna’s bitterness and sadness transformed her into Nightmare Moon, the wicked mare of darkness. After Celestia successfully banisher Nightmare Moon in to the moon, she wasn’t sure about what happened to her sister that provoked her hatred. Later one of Luna’s guard reported to Celestia. - “Tell me why you are here and what do you want.” – said Celestia - “I know what happened to Luna, and I think I know what happened to her.” - “Please, tell me more.” - “Well over several days, although I know it’s not allowed, and I’m really sorry about it, but I heard what Luna was talking about with Fidelia.” – said the guard. - “Fidelia?” - “Yes, I heard her name many times from Luna and she was talking to someone almost every night.” - “Tell me what you heard, if you heard anything.” - “Fidelia was talking to Luna about thing like why doesn't Luna hate you, and things like why don’t ponies care about the Night. I couldn’t hear everything perfectly, but I’m sure it was about these. I haven’t reported it before, because I didn’t know this would lead Luna to do such things.” - “So the Sonitus…” - “Guards, you all know your jobs.” - “Yes…Yes, my princess.” – said the guard and left the room. - “I never thought that I will have to do this ever in my life” – said Celestia with sadness. The guards were commanded, they knew what the order was. That evening the unicorn guards were ready. Fidelia was awake at this night too. Palor as she usually did, went down to the kitchen at night to get something to drink and a snack for herself, but as soon as she turned back there were the guards. Palor was scared and with big open eyes she told: - “What are you guys doing here?” – said while she slowly moved backward - “Is that a big problem to have a snack in the ni-” – and the worst happened, the guards shot and Palor only could only scream......then silence. Fidelia heard the scream and was shocked. She heard steps approaching the rooms in the hallway. - “So they are here.” – she said while he started to cry – “I have to escape somehow, I-I can’t die.” Then the door opened, a guard approached Fidelia as she was facing back to him. As soon as the guard approached her bed she attacked the guard, the guard shot, but he could only hit her right ear and a part of her mane. Fidelia jumped back and, with power, she charged at the guard and knocked him out. She went out of her room and saw that the guards just “finished their job” as they were coming out of her sisters’ room, and they saw Fidelia. She again with power ,as fast as she could, charged at the guards, she successfully knocked them out too. She was shocked like never before. She tried to calm down, as she was too loud because she was gasping. She went into camouflage and ran out of the castle. She ran as fast as she could. There were guards almost everywhere over Canterlot. At the edge of Canterlot a few guards saw her, while the guards were running toward her she shouted. - “Tell your so beloved princess, that I will return once again. I will avenge my sisters!” – and then Fidelia jumped down. Because of airwalk she was able to land without hurting herself. She disappeared after she landed and since then no one knows where she could be. > Chapter Four: The Long-awaited Day > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- As soon as Fidelia successfully escaped Canterlot, the guards stopped the search for her; they knew it was impossible to find her. Celestia started to improve the defense of Canterlot, she thought that what the last living member of the Sonitus can do is all but unknown. There were still many undiscovered things about the Sonitus and their abilities. Meanwhile Fidelia was trying to find a place where she could live, or at least stay for a long time, far away from the Royal family. After a long search she found a seemingly small cave inside a mountain. As she went inside the cave deeper and deeper she was surprised how long the cave was, after a right turn he couldn’t believe to her eyes. - “What the heck?” – she said with big open eyes – “This whole cave is a hidden place?” It was huge inside; the whole place was like a secret abandoned village inside a mountain which also had a small lake with crystal clear water. - “This place will be perfect to stay. I don’t think anypony could find me here.” – thought to herself. - “I’m no longer Fidelia, the loyal. The Sonitus is dead and Fidelia with it, it’s over now. From now I’m Denunia, the betrayer. Over several years she was alone, had to shift for herself in the wilderness and she was planning the perfect plan all the time how could she revenge her sisters and defeat Celestia. On many nights she was praying to the Moon and to Luna to come back one day at least if she can’t bring back her sisters. She couldn’t do anything more for them. Years later, there was a strange incident in Canterlot. Celestia personally wanted to see it; it was at the Canterlot Library. - “Speak, guards, what happened here?” - “Well, my princess, we only know that someone broke into the Library’s secret part and stole almost all the books and parchments.” - “All the books and parchments at once?” – said Celestia surprisingly while they were walking to the secret library. - “Well, um…” – said the guard really nervously – “actually who broke into here, that done it several times ” - “So you want to tell me that, someone broke into the secret library, which is almost impossible, stole all the books and parchments and this happened several times? And you all noticed this until now?” – said Celestia with quite angry tone. Celestia was angry with reason. She knew that there was only one who could do this. Although Denunia lived far away from Canterlot she sometimes went back, of course in camouflage, to know what’s happening there. She was also there during Celestia and the guards discovered that someone broke into the secret lab. - “Oh, Celestia, Celestia… if you would know when I did it.” – thought to herself with a little grin. After Denunia acquired the books and parchments, she started to learn all the spells from the books, those which were on the parchments were much harder, and they were written in another language. She later learnt many of those too, though she never knew what they could do. She practiced and trained over and over. She was just waiting for the perfect day to act. Around 250 years later, since she escaped from Canterlot, her long-awaited day has finally come. She did almost nothing else, just trained, learnt, prepared and of course waited over 250 years. From this day, strange things started to happen all over Canterlot. There were reports about ghosts. The ponies who reported these couldn’t see anything or anyone, but something or someone was walking in their homes at night. The ponies were scared and started to panic after a few days, they didn’t knew what was happening. Meanwhile when Celestia were reading about the reports had an idea about who made such things. - “So, she is back.” – she said with great seriousness. - “But, who my princess?” – a guard asked. - “It’s long to tell, I have to act now. Follow me; I have to tell you something.” Then Celestia and her guard left the Canterlot castle. They heard some screaming ponies and Celestia decided to check it out. When she arrived to the house, she looked around, but there was absolutely nopony. - “What? This can’t be.” – said Celestia and she went out of the house – “Wait, where did everypony go?” - “Oh, Celestia, just not alone in the dark? How ironic…” – a strange voice said from nowhere. - “I’m not afraid, show yourself, Fidelia.” - “Mmm, Fidelia, Fidelia, where and when did I hear that name last time? Can you tell me who is she?” - ”Don’t play dumb, I know it’s you. I still remember.” – said Celestia with anger - “Sorry, but I don’t know any Fidelia.” –said the strange voice, and someone slowly appeared from the shadows – “The only one I know is me, Denunia.” - “And what are you going to do? You try to defeat me? Like as you tried 250 years ago and turned Luna against me?” - “Actually? Exactly. But now I will do the dirty job. I’ll finish what Luna started. ” – said Denunia and as soon she could she attacked Celestia. While they were fighting they still talked, almost screamed to each other. The fight took long as they both were powerful. They both were full of anger and bitterness. - “Why did you betray us, Denunia, why?” - “Me? You were the one who betrayed us! Without thinking you’ve killed my sisters! I’ll never forgive this to you!” - “Without thinking? It was the hardest decision in my life! It was my worst day ever! Do you think I did it with pleasure?” - “This is a lie!” – said Denunia she started to cry, and with anger she knocked down Celestia – “Everything you say is a lie! I won’t show no mercy as you did with my sisters!” – then she stood up on her hind legs to stomp Celestia while she was dazed - “Feel my and pain what I’ve gather- ” – then suddenly a guard out of nowhere backstabbed her. Denunia slowly looked down and then turned to the guard. - “What? Y-You are not supposed to be here… This…is…so…unfair.” – then she collapsed to the ground on her side from weakness. Celestia stood up, approached her and other ponies slowly began to show up around them bit confusedly. - “It is good for you to see me like this in front of everypony, isn’t it? This feels…so…cold.” –Denunia asked slowly with a quiet hoarse voice. - “Silence.” – said Celestia quietly – “Though I will never forgive you what you did to my sister, but I want to tell you something.” – Celestia continued, and then she looked at the guard and nodded. The guard brought a picture to Celestia. - “Tell me, Denunia, do you know who these three ponies on this picture are?” – said Celestia while she showed the picture to her. - “I’m dying and you ask questions?” - “Just answer. I know your sarcasm will never die.” - “No.” - “You see this little filly on the picture?” - “Y-Yes.” - “This is you when you were born.” - “Born?” – Denunia started to shed tears – “So this means that I and my sisters were born.” - “Yes, now tell me can you see this other two ponies?” - “Yes.” - “These two ponies are your true parents, Denunia.” - “My…My true…parents?” – she said with happiness on her face – “I’m weak, please turn me on my back, I want to see the moon for the last time. ” Celestia and the guard turned her on her back. - “The Moon, so beautiful, so…blurry. So I was born as a normal pony, and I had my true parents.” – she said while she cried quietly, and she slowly closed her eyes – “Best…day…ever.” – and passed away with a smile. The surrounding ponies began to cry also, Celestia was sad too. Celestia buried her body in her garden next to her sisters’ graves. On their graves, there were their names and one title on them. Later in Celestia’s garden a strange tree began to grow from Denunia’s grave, with time it grown into a giant beautiful tree. Nopony knew how it grew there. Since then almost every day Celestia went out to this tree, sat down next to it, always reminding her what happened then. Whenever she left the three she said only one thing. - “Stupid.” Although it was unknown how did it grew there, but it was actually because of an unknown spell what Denunia learnt during her preparation. This was one of the spells she couldn’t understand. This spell gave the person a passive ability, when the person dies she will reincarnate as a tree, the size of the tree depends on how sad she saw her own life. There are rumors about it, that the tree can hear and sense everyone around them, and every falling leaf count as a teardrop. Several hundreds of years later the tree was still there as beautiful as it was before. When Luna returned, after time she remembered to the Sonitus and asked Celestia at a lunch time. - “Tell me sister, what’s with the Sonitus? I couldn’t find them anywhere.” A moment of silence later Celestia replied. - “They are gone. But I want to show you something.” Celestia led Luna to the Tree meanwhile she also told what happened. - “So here she is.” As soon as Luna saw the Tree all the leaves fallen down and then the Tree immediately bloomed.
