Hit Point, a new student at CHS, has his life turned upside down when he becomes «The Gamer» and has to "level up" to survive the trials ahead of him.
Written in the spirit of my birthday.
Hit Point, high school student, video game enthusiast, and all-around normal guy...until, of course, he became «The Gamer». Somehow, his life had become too much like an RPG video game; everyday tasks becoming quests, normal capabilities turning into skills with levels, and grinding said skills to make them stronger. Not only that, but his life is on the line almost every day now, from fighting monsters in Instant Dungeons to facing powerful foes, all while trying to maintain his normal, teenage life.
Never a dull moment in this town of Canterlot...
Takes place just before the first Equestria Girls movie.
As a lone car stopped in front of a public school, a boy stepped out of it; he had short green hair with a red streak on the left side of his head, pale-ish, tan-ish skin, and crystal blue eyes, wearing a red shirt with a green power button symbol on it, blue denim shorts, and grey-ish shoes.
"Alright, Hit," the woman in the car spoke to him, "I'm going to be gone all day helping your father, so you'll have to take the bus home, I already informed the principals of these situations and they gave the bus drivers your route home. Be good, okay, sweetie?"
"I will, mom, no worries," the boy named Hit said.
"Oh, and sweetie?" his mom spoke again, "...Please try and make some friends."
"...Okay, mom. I'll try."
Hit Point, average teenage high school student, avid gamer, and all around antisocial normal guy, had just transferred to Canterlot High School after moving away from his hometown due to bullies and troubles at school, his parents finally decided "enough is enough!" and moved to the Canterlot suburbs and filed the paperwork to get him into CHS to resume his education. His mother just nodded at his acknowledgement of her advice and drove off as he began his trek into the school building, taking the many sights of a much bigger school than his old one.
Hopefully there won't be any bullies...or, at least, fewer of them. Hit Point thought to himself.
He walked around for a while until he came up to the principal's office, almost getting hit by the door when it swung open and out stepped a beautiful, yet intimidating girl; her hair was red with yellow streaks all done up in a bunch, tan skin, and bright green eyes, wearing a black jacket over a purple shirt emblazoned with a Yin-Yang sun mark, orange skirt, and black boots with dark purple flames on the front looking like some sort of regalia.
When she finally laid eyes on Hit, he took a cautious step back at the intensity of her stare, "New kid, right?" Hit hesitantly nodded at her question, "Name. Now."
"...Hit Point." he answered carefully as to not provoke this girl.
"Hmm...gamer nerd, right?"
"Well, if you want to put it bluntly..."
"The name is a dead giveaway, kid."
Hit sighs, "Look, I gotta be in principal's office right now, so if you don't mind..."
"Hmph. Fine. But I'm watching you, newbie." she turns and walks away, but then stops, "By the way, since you never asked...the name's Sunset Shimmer. Keep that in mind. We may see each other more than you think."
With that, she finally left, leaving Hit in a state of confusion, until he shook himself out of it, "Huh, somebody's got a pretty high opinion of herself. Better watch out for that one."
Hit Point then entered the principal's office to go over his schedule and school requirements...
The final bell rang and everybody was now leaving school, but Hit didn't have classes today since he just got transferred, so he hung around the library the whole time and played RPG's on his Nintendo 3DS until the final bell. When he made it to a save point, he saved his game, turned off the system, and made a mad dash for the buses, to which he barely made it in time and sat in the back, next to a couple of dumber looking kids that have scissors and a snail on the fronts of their shirts. Hit began staring out the window with his elbow propped on the window sill, watching the scenery go by as he thought about what he wanted to do with his life; he wanted to be a beta tester for video games and even looked up that the job pays well, but his parents didn't think it would be a good career choice to continue immersing himself into his games. I'm just a Sophomore right now, I don't wanna look into careers THAT early. What am I, a stick in the mud? No way.
When the bus finally stopped at his home, he got up and proceeded to leave the vehicle, all the while having this strange feeling that he was being watched. Once outside, he walked up to his new front door and entered, not noticing the flash of a camera phone going off within the bus...
Sunset Shimmer had just snapped a photo of the new student's place of residence with a malicious smile on her face, Hit Point's arrival couldn't have been any more perfect for her, she had never dealt with a complete gamer nerd in CHS and this would be a challenge for her to dig up some new dirt on him, since she had been getting bored with lording her supremacy over the other students she wanted to do what she hadn't done in a long time: gather some embarrassing intel on a new student and exploit them for her own benefit. As the bus drove by, she even took a picture of the street his house was on so she would always know where he is. Can't let him slip through my fingers, now can I? She giggled evilly to herself as the bus made its way to her home...
One Month Later...
Hit Point's mother, Mana Boost, had just dropped off her son for another day at school, and Hit was dreading it. Not long after arriving at CHS, he noticed something weird, everybody had their name, an occupation, and an LV number above their heads, When Hit looked at himself in the mirror in the school bathroom, he saw his name, occupation, and LV, or level.

As he continued his school life, he noticed that majority of the student body all have a level ratio from 2 to 3, with very few exceptions.
Sunset Shimmer.
Her level was 31.
And her occupation was...strange, and that's being generous.

PRINCESS Celestia? Geez, c'mon lady, the principal isn't royalty in the slightest. Hit thought.
Even after his arrival, Sunset had been stalking him along with those two idiots that he noticed on the bus ride from the first day, when he saw their levels, he...wasn't surprised at all.

Either way, he knows that they've been stalking him because of a window that popped up at school one day:

His skill's current level allows him to sense more than just Sunset and her goons, as the level goes up, Hit is able to detect a mild ambush if he needed to. There are other skills he had learned as well:
[Gamer's Mind (Passive) LV MAX] Recognizes life as a game and is able to remain calm even in the most dire of situations.
Immune to: Psychological status effects
[Gamer's Body (Passive) LV MAX] The body becomes similar to a game avatar, preventing internal damage (broken bones, ruptured organs, etc).
[Observe (Passive) LV 1 EXP 1.25] Reveals the target's information by focusing on them. More information will be added as this skill grows.
At first he thought he was finally going crazy from all of the games he played, but he tested them out on several occasions, seeing all of what they do, and all he can deduce is that something isn't right, for multiple reasons.
How and why do I have this power? Why am I slightly higher leveled than everyone else? And more importantly, why is Sunset Shimmer's level WAAAY higher than anyone at all? That's not something you get from being a bully and strong-arming other students. Something isn't right about her.
As the first bell rung, you decided to ponder on this later, maybe when you can catch Sunset unawares and "Observe" her true nature. With a sigh, you leave the restroom and head for your homeroom class.
After first period, Hit snuck into the bathroom and checked for anybody inside any of the stalls, once he was sure that nobody else was in there, he rushed into one of the empty stalls and decided to experiment with this strange power he found himself with.
Hit took a deep breath and exhaled, "Status Window."
Hmm... Hit began to think, I'm ever so slightly higher leveled than every other student here, but a lot of my stats are different, in fact, EVERYONE'S stats are different from each other, so...maybe I should apply my stat points in a balanced manner. Hit applied his stat points carefully to make sure he is at least close to balanced, he was always trying to keep his characters somewhat balanced when it came to their status. After he finished, this was the result:
Okay, by slightly boosting my WIS, or Wisdom, my MP, or Mana Points, will slowly restore themselves after I use them, all the while, I kept my status balanced and held onto half of my stat points until I really need them; stat points are hard to come by, so I should hold on to at least some of them. Now, onto another state of business...
Hit swiped the window downward to close it and opened another one by saying, "Inventory."
The new window had been split in half by a mere line; on the left was the equipment half of the screen, which only shows his normal clothes, and on the right half of the screen was the item storage, A.K.A. Inventory, which was currently empty.
"I wonder..." Hit pulled out his smartphone and placed it into one of the inventory slots, and lo and behold, there it was, displayed in his Inventory Screen, "No way..." he pulled it back out and closed the screen, "Though it's useful and my smartphone would probably be safer in there from pickpockets, I can't just pull it out of nowhere whenever I need it and draw attention to myself."
Just then, the second period bell had rung, making Hit groan in annoyance. With hopes that he won't be late, he rushes out of the bathroom stall to his next class.
The time for the final period of the day had come all too fast, Hit pretty much breezed through all of his classes mostly because they were a lot of subjects he was good at, and enjoyed his lunch from the nice lunch lady, and now he finally arrived at his last period before going home for the day, when he noticed a massive anomaly in his life.
Sunset Shimmer, in the same class with him.
She saw him, sneered, and waved her fingers at him, making him scowl as he sat behind her, but in reality his [Gamer's Mind] skill allowed him to hide his true intentions and emotions as he fought to hide a smirk from her, the opportunity was right in front of him, and the teacher wasn't here yet, the intel about the true Sunset Shimmer was handed to him on a silver platter.
"Observe." he whispered as he looked at the back of Sunset's head.

Sunset Shimmer is not of this world; she is from an parallel universe where magic is commonplace and quite well used, good and bad. She was once a student of a powerful ruler known as Princess Celestia, but something between them made her cruel and dishonest, which made her eventually abandoning her tutelage of her to pursue a different path and somehow ended up in the world seen now.
...I AM OFFICIALLY FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW!!!
But [Gamer's Mind] managed to calm Hit Point down before he lost himself in a panicking fit, he had many questions, but no answers. And then another window popped up:
The skill level of [Observe] has increased by 1.
Huh? Is it because I observed Sunset? Because her Max MP is unknown and she's more powerful than anyone here?
Just then, Mr. Doodle walked and everybody became silent as Hit saw his overhead name as well.

Just like that, school was over for the day and everybody began to leave, except Hit, who decided to walk around school a little longer; his mom said that she was going to be working late and that Hit could do whatever as long as he finished his homework when he got home, luckily for him he finished all of his work in school and had no homework to bring home. As he walked through the halls, he heard a commotion in the gym, being the curious guy he was, he chose to check it out, but not before a screen popped up:

Hit knew right away that it was Sunset, but that didn't stop him from going inside. When he walked in, he noticed four people and one dog, who all had overhead names:
Well, Pinkie's isn't all THAT surprising now that I know her, but...wait, what were those last two?!
"Uh...can we help ya, pardner?"
Hit noticed that everyone in the room was staring at him when Applejack spoke and he chuckled nervously, "Um, sorry, I heard noises in here and wanted to check it out, I apologize if I'm intruding."
"Oh, then no worries." Applejack smiled.
Hit smiled back and walked to a near secluded area of the gym and looked directly at the new girl named Twilight, "Observe."
Twilight Sparkle «Equestria's Newest Princess» Title: Bearer of the Element of Magic
Twilight Sparkle had just arrived from a parallel universe called "Equestria" in search of her crown and Element of Harmony, which was stolen by Sunset Shimmer. She had just become a princess by finishing an impossible spell by a famous Unicorn, and in doing that, she had ascended from a Unicorn to an Alicorn, which is a being that possesses all traits of Unicorn, Pegasus, and Earth Pony, thus making her royalty. Her title gives her a slight boost in INT and WIS. Arriving in this world has divided her overall status by 3.
Interesting...but where does that dog of hers play in all this? He then focused on Spike, "Observe."

Spike the Baby Dragon, now Spike the Dog, had ran after Twilight in hopes of aiding her in her quest to retrieve her crown from this world. He always helps Twilight and wants to be helpful, not just to her, but their friends as well, and felt like helping her on this quest may strengthen their bond if by a little.
Strange...
Before Hit knew it, Twilight began to take her leave with Spike in tow as he chose to follow them, hoping for answers about Sunset Shimmer and this whole "other world" business, not noticing Sunset herself bursting in through the main doors...
After overhearing the conversation between Sunset and Twilight, Hit began to leave the school with many questions in his head as clubs began to start up for the day, as he continued to think, he made it home without him even realizing it. After entering the front door, he looked around to see that nobody was home, he knew there wouldn't be anyone here, but he thought his dad would be home early for once. [Gamer's Mind] prevented him from being bothered by this, so he went upstairs to his room to look for something, and he eventually found it: a wooden baseball bat his dad gave him when he was in his Freshman year at his old school.
"Observe."
Wooden Bat [Rarity: E rank] [Type: Bash] A bludgeon made of wood, mainly used for the sport "Baseball". It doesn't do much damage.

"Usually in games, when the condition of the weapon is weakened, its power is weakened too. Since I only used it very few times in Freshman year, its condition only shows a little wear. But if and when the weapon's condition drops to 0%, the weapon breaks, never to be used again, even if you have the materials to repair it." Hit Point theorized, "Well, anyway, I'll probably need it if this 'Equestria' place is invading or whatever. Inventory!"
The Inventory Screen appeared and he shoved the bat into one of the slots, closing it afterwards and heading to bed, unaware of what will soon come...
Even before entering the school, Hit Point could see and hear the students snickering, not at him, but at what was on their phones; Hit woke up midmorning to find a video linked to him by Pinkie Pie with a message, saying, "This is bad!!!" Hit thought something had happened, so he clicked the link and found the video of Twilight doing...quite a few embarrassing things, which made him cringe greatly.
Sunset Shimmer. I thought I recognized her handiwork. Guess she finally found somebody else to stalk. he thought.
He continued to his homeroom and tried his best to ignore the snickers of the immature students, but it was becoming quite unbearable, even with [Gamer's Mind] in play. The homeroom teacher walked in and began the lesson as Hit looked at his overhead name:

Lunch had finally rolled around and Hit Point made his way into the cafeteria for some grub, when he got his favorite food, a chill dog, he went over to a secluded table and wanted to test something.
"Observe."

"...Huh." was all Hit said before he closed the window and ate his food.
He looked around the cafeteria and saw everyone just eating and talking with one another, like any other normal day, almost reminding Hit of the days before he got his power. After another once over of the whole lunch room, he noticed something off about one of the students; the girl with the half blue, half pink hair that he had seen in passing, who always hangs out with that green girl named Lyra Heartstrings, she was named Bon-Bon, but her overhead name was saying something else:

Sweetie Drops goes by the alias, "Bon-Bon" to hide her true identity as a monster hunter for her friends' own protection. She and her best friend, Lyra Heartstrings, are almost inseparable, but Sweetie Drops fears that Lyra finding out her true self will not only compromise her safety, but may destroy their friendship. Her title allows her a slight boost in DEX and INT.
Oh, my God, the students here are a bunch of circus freaks! he thought, then sighed in his head, ...Well, no point in brooding over my parents' judgement when it comes to schools, besides, I may have to talk with her when she's alone and see if she can help me.
With his mind made up, Hit finished his lunch and proceeded on to his next class.
The final bell had rung once again to indicate that school was over today, and Hit Point had a goal in mind: talk to "Bon-Bon" alone. He kept himself on the lookout for the familiar two-toned hair that defines the secretive girl, soon enough, he found her with Lyra chatting away at some memories of their childhood together. Hit walked up to the two of them and tried to get their attention.
"Hey, ladies."
"Oh! Hey, Hit Point, what's up?" Bon-Bon asked.
"Well...I need to speak with you...privately."
"Why?" Lyra asked, "Why don't you say it in front of both of us?"
Hit knew this wasn't going well and didn't want to ruin their friendship, so he walked up to Bon-Bon and whispered into her ear, "I know who you really are...Special Junior Agent Sweetie Drops."
Bon-Bon gasped in shock and dropped her backpack.
"What's wrong, Bon-Bon? What'd he say?" Lyra asked her best friend.
Bon-Bon hid her eyes with her bangs, "...Lyra. We'll talk more later."

[Danger Sense (Passive) LV 2 EXP 67.90%] The Gamer senses danger through others' murderous intents, killer instincts, and so on. Danger is measured by leveled numbers through 1 and 10; 1 being the lowest amount of danger and 10 being the highest, anything above 10 is beyond extremely dangerous.

Uh...why is it saying level 6 murderous intent...? And why did my skill level start at 2 instead of 1, with some leftover EXP?!...oh, she's mad.
Suddenly, Hit felt himself being partially dragged into a secluded hallway and then slammed into a row of lockers, diminishing his HP a little.

"Okay," Bon-Bon began in a hostile tone, "where did you hear that name?"
Hit sighed deeply, "...Okay, I'll try to explain to the best of my ability, but this might take a while..."
He came clean to her about his Gamer ability, his [Observe] skill, and how he saw her status through the skill.
"...So, yeah, that's how I know. You probably don't believe me, but--"
"Oh, I believe you." she interrupted.
"...Huh?" Hit uttered, dumbfounded.
Bon-Bon sighed, "You're not the only one with special powers, you know."
"I'm not?"
"I'll explain it to you another day, right now, I need to get back to Lyra before she starts asking questions." she took her leave until she stopped with her back turned to him, "Oh, and Hit Point?"
"Yeah?"
"About my secret..."

"Don't worry. My lips are sealed."
The level of danger has gone down by 3.
"Besides...I think it's better if you're the one who tells her one day, it'll mean more coming from you."
"...Thank you, Hit."
You are no longer in danger.
Bon-Bon left Hit in the hall as she returned to her friend to reassure her that nothing was wrong. Meanwhile, Hit began to take his own leave when he noticed Twilight on the soccer field talking with the captain of every sports team in CHS, Rainbow Dash, making him curious as to why she's conversing with her. He shrugged as he decided it wasn't any of his business and left for the Sweet Shoppe for some take-out food because not only is he hungry, he needs to replenish his HP.
After ordering some muffins to go, he entered his home to see that nobody was inside, again. Hit assumed his parents were working late again and went over to sit at the dining room table to eat his grub, but not before he saw what they do.
"Observe."
Banana Nut Muffin [Consumable Item] A muffin with the flavor of bananas and has nuts baked into it.

Chocolate Chip Muffin [Consumable Item] A muffin with chocolate chips baked into it.
+75 HP +50 MP
Hit was hungry enough that he ate both the muffins and recovered his lost HP, then shoved whatever was left in his Inventory and went to bed for the day. As he drifted off to sleep, he had a weird feeling about tomorrow all of a sudden...
The Next Day...
A screen popped up as Hit began to stir:
Good morning! Your HP and MP have been fully recovered!
"Ah, geez...does that notification ever stop?"
Before Hit got dressed for school, he checked the Options Window and saw that their was no way to turn off the morning notifications.
"Oh, forget it, I'll deal with it when I'm not busy. Besides, the Fall Formal is tonight and I need a date."
Hit's parents have been urging him to go to the Fall Formal since they heard about it, believing it was a great way for Hit to make new friends, much to his dismay. But Hit only agreed that he'll go when and if he is able to get a date for the occasion, otherwise the deal would be off the table, he wasn't going to go alone, he thought it would make him look pathetic, especially in the eyes of Sunset Shimmer. Hit Point had only two problems with that: one, he doesn't know who to ask, and two, he thought, "who would go to the Fall Formal with a complete and utter gamer nerd?"
Regardless, Hit went through his daily routine as he was think about this and to prep himself and headed off for school.
Bored.
That's what Hit felt.
He had arrived to his classes on time and the moment the teachers started their lectures, he tuned them out because he was so bored, even with his new ability. Without warning, a piece of folded-up paper bounced off of his head, snapping him out of it, when he saw where it come from, he was a bit surprised, it came from Bon-Bon. Hit noticed the teacher's back was turned to the chalkboard, so she chose a good time to give him a note, before Mr. Doodle turned around, he opened the note and read it.
We'll talk AFTER the Fall Formal, meet me on the roof tomorrow after school.
Hit turned and nodded to Bon-Bon as she nods back, he put away the note and began to focus in class this time.
Hit didn't know what to think.
In front of him was the strangest thing.
Everyone.
In the cafeteria.
Singing and dancing.
Together.
It was like the school had done a complete 180 and everybody were now friends, despite what Sunset had done to everyone here. But he'd be lying if he said he didn't like it as he let [Gamer's Mind] slip a little bit this time and crack a smile at the sight. He left the cafeteria to leave Twilight to her little campaign only to hear an unwanted voice.
"Take those off!"
He turned and saw Sunset Shimmer along with her cronies.
"I have something I need you to do."
Sunset had bared a malicious smile upon her pretty face.
Hit had to hide when a screen appeared:

The evil group made their way past Hit as they didn't notice his presence, he decided to follow them to see what they were up to.
And knowing HER, it's nothing good.
He waited until Sunset and her little troll buddies entered the gym until another screen popped up:
Side Quest: Confront the CHS Witch! Information: Encounter Sunset Shimmer, Snips, and Snails in Canterlot High School - Gymnasium! Time Limit: 30 Minutes Clear Reward(s): +5000 EXP, Key Item Fail Penalty: -1 LV on all skills

This'll be one hell of a gamble...but I need the EXP. Hit thought before he pressed [Accept].
Hit rushed into the gym after he accepted the side quest, he may have had 30 minutes, but he couldn't waste any time with this, he knew this to be true.
He swiftly opened the doors with a loud bang, earning the troublesome trio's attention as Hit glared at them. Sunset turned to her lackeys and motioned with her head towards the rest of the gym, they nod and got to work with Sunset facing him once more.
"And here I thought you'd stay out of trouble." she said, "I may've never gotten any blackmail material on you, but you're not gonna get in my way."
"Even if you had anything on me, you can use it all you like, because all I care about right now is knocking you down a few pegs."
She smirked, "You really think you can do it?"
"Someone's gotta, with all the disrespect you throw around, and it's no wonder why Flash ditched your fat ass."

Sunset grit her teeth in anger at Hit's words with a growl, "You're gonna eat those words...!"
Without speaking, Hit mentally called for his Inventory Window, hoping that she couldn't see it right now, "Come at me!"
Sunset charged forward and tried to knock him down, but luckily she couldn't the Inventory Screen pop up and Hit whipped out his bat and smashed her in the face with it, throwing her off balance and knocking her off to the side. Hit almost pictured this to be some sort of boss battle and envisioned a good piece of music that would accompany it.

Just then, the music he envisioned started playing, but Sunset was in a blind enough rage that she didn't notice.
With a roar of defiance, Sunset rushed Hit again, but like before, he was ready. He shouted a battle cry as he charged at Sunset as well, both sides eager to end this.
...
"Yes. It is just as you planned...the boy is confronting Miss Shimmer as we speak."
...
"Of course. I shall make sure that no real harm comes to him...for now, anyway."
...
"Yes, the Fall Formal WILL continue as planned, regardless of what Miss Shimmer does."
...
"Good-bye."
The unknown figure hung up the phone and proceeded to watch the security cameras in the gym as the battle between his two pawns continued with a smirk on his face.
Hit and Sunset were out of breath, the fight completely wearing them out as they were hunched over trying to regain their lost air.
"You ready...to call it quits?" Hit panted out.
"Yeah...you're strong...I'll give you...that." Sunset panted back, then stood up straight as she finally recollected herself, "Doesn't matter anyway, I've already won."
"What are you..." Hit took a look around after he stopped panting and saw the gym was in near ruins as the decorations were pretty much destroyed, "...This was your plan from the beginning."

"The Fall Formal crown? THAT'S what this is about? Get some reality going in that head of yours! It's just a piece of cheap plastic!"
Sunset chuckled, confusing him, "Oh, Hit Point, that crown is much more than you'll ever know." she proceeds to walk past Hit with her cronies in tow and whispers in his ear, "If you behave like a good boy, I may make you my little prince."
She saunters off and leaves the gym and Hit behind as he returns his bat to his Inventory and multiple screens appear.

"WHAT!?! If I don't make it, it's game over!? And I can't even decline the quest!?" Hit groaned loudly, "AGGGHH!! Fine!"
He tapped [Accept] and made a break for Vice Principal Luna's office.
Vice Principal Luna was staring down the new student Twilight Sparkle as the latter covered her face in despair and embarrassment. Then the door slammed open, revealing an out of breath Hit Point.
"Mr. Hit Point? What are you doing here?" Luna questioned.
"Please tell me I'm not too late." he asked.
"I was just conversing with Ms. Sparkle here about her disqualification from Fall Formal Princess."
"Well, you might wanna change your mind, because the evidence you were given was false."
"What? Explain."
Hit presented the [Evidence of Deception] Key Item to her and began to explain, "Somebody chopped up and combined these photos to make it look like Twilight was the one who trashed the gym."
Luna hummed, "Hmm...I thank you for bringing this to my attention, Mr. Point." she turns to Twilight, "In light of this new evidence, you may of course continue your campaign for Fall Formal Princess."
Twilight looked ecstatic and ran up to hug Hit, making him uncomfortable, "Thank you! You have no idea how much this means to me!"
"Unfortunately," Luna spoke again, "enough damage has been done to the gym that the Fall Formal will have to be postponed until tomorrow." she began to leave, "If you'll excuse me, I have to inform my sister of this latest development."
After the door closed, three windows popped up, shocking Twilight.

Hit closed out his window and turned to Twilight, "I'll explain everything later, right now we should prepare for the Fall Formal tomorrow, so...would you like to go with me?"
"Well, I was planning to go with...wait, tomorrow night!?" Twilight then proceeded to say "no" multiple time along with some gibberish as she ran off.
Hit sighed, "Should've known."
He began his trek back home, slightly dejected that the new girl, of all people, rejected his offer.
Hit entered his home and sat on the couch, "Inventory."
The window popped up and he ate up whatever muffins remained inside his Inventory, not out of need to replenish his HP, but to forget about what happened earlier. Hit didn't think of himself as a guy with an eating disorder, but he just couldn't help himself. As he finished his food, he passed out watching TV.
A Few Hours Later...
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
The sound of knocking roused Hit from his slumber as a window popped up.
Good afternoon! Your HP and MP have been fully recovered!
"Ugh, I guess my little power nap counts as sleep..." Hit uttered.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
"Alright, I'm coming!" Hit grumbled as he got up and opened the front door, revealing Twilight and what appears to be her friends, "What?"
"We just fixed up the gym and we're all going to get ready for the Fall Formal, are you coming?" Twilight asked.
Hit sighed, "Nah, I told my parents I wouldn't go if I didn't have a date, and you said no, so..."
"I didn't say no, I mean, not to you, I was just...worried about something else."
"Oh? What was it?"
"It's not important, will you come if I agree to be your date?"
Hit sighed again, "I guess."
The girls cheered and Hit went with them as they walked to the boutique their friend Rarity works at.
"Hey, Twilight." Rainbow whispered.
"Yeah?" Twilight asked back.
"Why are we inviting the gamer nerd to come to the Fall Formal with us again?"
"Rainbow Dash, don't be rude!" Rarity harshly whispered.
"It's okay, Rarity," Twilight said to her friend and turned back to Rainbow, "Because if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be able to get my crown back at this point."
"Really? What happened?" Fluttershy asked.
Twilight explained the whole situation of how Sunset Shimmer tried to frame her for the gym been trashed and get her kicked out of the race for Fall Formal Princess, but Hit Point came along and showed proof of her innocence.
"...And that's how it happened." Twilight concluded as they entered the boutique with Hit in tow.
"I still can't believe we pulled that off." Fluttershy said.
"I can! We're awesome!" Rainbow added.
"Enough chatter, girls...and Hit." Rarity interrupted, "We need to get ready, and we need to look fabulous!"
Hit had a deadpan look on his face, "...What."
Rarity smiled, "Well, you simply can't go to the Fall Formal in casual attire, darling. I have a spare tux in back that you can use."
Hit just stood there, the deadpan look still present.
"Hit?" Twilight asked.
"Good-bye." Hit turned and tried to walk out the door, but Rainbow stopped him.
"Slow down there, Game Boy, who says you get to walk out of here?"
Hit sighed for third time in a row, "I don't have a choice in this, do I?"
"Nope!" they all said cheerfully.
Hit slumped in defeat.
After a long montage of preparing for the Fall Formal, and Hit trying on his new tuxedo while giving the girls their privacy, they were in a limo on their way to CHS for the school dance, but before they arrived, Hit used [Observe] to see if his tux at least had any armor properties.

Once they had arrived in front of the school, Hit and the girls piled out and proceeded to enter the building, but Twilight was stopped by Flash Sentry as Hit continued on in, soon the two caught up to him and Twilight spoke.
"Um, Hit, I know you're my date to the Fall Formal, but would it be alright if I had a dance with Flash?"
Hit thought about it and smiled, "Sure, why not?"
Twilight and Flash smiled and the former rushed off into the gym while the latter stopped to talk.
"Thanks, man," Flash began to say, "I was worried you were one of those possessive types."
Hit waved a hand, "No biggie."
Hit just walked to the gym while Flash ran, saying something along the lines of he needed to get onstage with his band before they start without him, but Hit didn't mind it much.
I don't see Sunset anywhere, Hit thought as he looked around, I don't know what it is, but I have a bad feeling all of a sudden...

The unknown figure hung up the phone and watched the security cameras all around the school, waiting for a certain queen bee to strike and for his colleague to come and help finish the job.
As the night raged on, the Fall Formal was in full swing, everybody was enjoying themselves, especially Twilight and her friends, who were conversing with one another as they danced.
"Anybody seen Sunset Shimmer?" Twilight asked.
"Probably too embarrassed to show!" Rainbow called over the loud music, "She's gotta know that you won by a landslide!"
"Maybe..."
Hit was sitting by the punch table, enjoying a cool drink as he watched everybody on the dance floor, "They don't even look worried anymore. Still...that bad feeling...it's still there."
Suddenly, the music stopped and Principal Celestia was onstage, congratulating everyone on fixing up the gym and announcing the winner of Princess of the Fall Formal.
Then a screen appeared.

It was then that the bad feeling that Hit felt went into overdrive as he frantically searched for the people in hiding.
"...Twilight Sparkle!"
Everyone in the gym, except Hit and with good reason, cheered as Twilight went onstage to claim her crown, then waving to the student body.
And then...
"Twilight, heeeelp!!" a voice called out.
"Spike!?" Twilight said, surprised.
Twilight and Hit turned to see Snips and Snails holding Twilight's dog as they escaped from the gym.
"They've got Spike!!" Twilight hopped off the stage and gave chase.
Hit and the rest of the girls followed as they passed Trixie, CHS's resident braggart, and made it outside over to the statue where Sunset Shimmer waited for them with a sledgehammer in hand.
"That's close enough!" she ordered, raising the hammer over her head.
Everyone stopped in their tracks as they all stared each other down.
Sunset turned to Hit, "Gotta say, I'm a little hurt, Hit Point, I thought I told you to behave yourself."
Hit glared at her, "You did...or did you forget? We fought in the gym and you were more wore out than I was. I'm not at all impressed with your strength."
Sunset simply smirked, "...You'll see."
Meanwhile, Spike struggled in Snips and Snails' grasp, "Twilight!"
"Don't hurt him!" Twilight demanded.
"Oh, I wouldn't dream of it! I'm not a monster, Twilight." Sunset said.
"That's debatable." Hit commented.
Sunset just ignored him and motioned to the two idiots, "Let him go."
Snips and Snails were confused, but let him down and he ran into Twilight's arms.
"You don't belong here." Sunset held out her hand, "Give me the crown, and you can go back to Equestria, tonight...or keep it, and never go home!" she raised the hammer up, ready to smash the mirror on the statue's pedestal, making Twilight gasp, "Tick-tock, Twilight, we haven't got all night, the portal will be closing on its own in less than an hour. So...what's your answer?"
Portal? Equestria? What's going on here? Hit thought.
Twilight took off the crown and stared at it, deep in thought, then she finally made her decision, "No."
But Sunset didn't like that answer, "What!? Equestria, your friends, lost to you forever! Don't you see what I'm about to do to the portal!?"
"Yes, but I've also seen what you've been able to do here without magic," Twilight began, "Equestria will be able to find a way to survive without my Element of Harmony, this place might NOT, if I allow it to fall into YOUR hands. So go ahead, destroy the portal, you are NOT getting this crown!" Twilight placed the crown back on her head as she finished her speech.
"Fine. You win." Sunset dropped the hammer behind her, nearly hitting Snips and Snails in the process.
Twilight breathed a sigh of relief when she saw this as her friends came up to her.
"You, are, so awesome!" Rainbow gushed.
Applejack gave Twilight a friendly pat on the back, "Can't believe you were gunna do that fer us."
"It's no wonder you're a real, live princess." Rarity added.
A screen appeared.

When Hit saw this, he turned to see Sunset Shimmer getting frustrated with every word of praise Twilight's friends give her, "Uh-oh."
"Oh, yes, she so VERY special!" Sunset commented, then charged at Twilight and knocked her over, with the crown falling off her head.
Twilight tried to go after it, but Sunset pulled her away and tried to go at it herself, she was then held by the foot by Twilight, Sunset tried reaching for it, but Hit, noticing that everybody was just standing there, pulled his bat out of his Inventory and whacked Sunset dead square in the face, throwing her backwards as Hit picked up the crown and made a run for it.
"Ow..." Sunset groaned, then turned to her lackeys, "Grab him, you fools!"
Snips and Snails jumped and started going after Hit, who simply knocked them away easily with his bat since they were just LV 1. Sunset, on the other hand, was persistent enough to charge at Hit herself, who was ready to fight her again, then Rainbow showed up behind her, waving her hands in the air. Hit knew what she meant and sidestepped Sunset, making her crash on the ground and Hit threw the crown to her as she caught it, but then Snips and Snails tried to snatch it out of her hands, so she threw it to Fluttershy, who flinched and made it bounce off her side as she caught it with everyone charging at her, making her freeze in fear.
Applejack saw this and pulled out a lasso she had and snatched Fluttershy away from the troublesome trio, but not the crown as Snips caught it. Pinkie somehow appeared from behind him and took it back, then threw it to Rarity, who threw it to Twilight, and when the dunderheads got too close to her, she tossed it behind her, hoping one of her friends would catch it, sadly that wasn't the case as the witch herself finally got what she wanted.
"I'll take that!" Sunset said as she giggled evilly, "At last!"
Spike growled at her as Twilight picked him up, Hit came up next to her, focused on the crown, and said, "Observe!"

"More power than I could even imagine!" Sunset proceeded to wear the crown upon her head.
Hit was in shock at what the screen said, "Oh no. Wait! Sunset! You fool!"
But it was too late; rings of dark magic surrounded her as she clutched her head, then a pillar of dark magic shot up into the sky as Sunset floated up. All anyone could do was watch in horror as Sunset began to change while the students came out saw what was happening: Sunset was crying within the magic pillar, but the tears burned away as her eyes glowed, her skin became red with claws instead of hands, and a tail matching her hair color. As the transformation completed itself, Sunset eyes had black sclera instead of white, elfish ears, her hair raised up to look like a flame, combat boots, demonic wings, and fiery dress to complete the ensemble, Sunset Shimmer was no more, she was now Sunset She-demon.
The newly-transformed monster laughed manically as she admired her new look with the girls and Hit gasping in shock and fear.
"Observe!" Hit said.

Twilight growled at Sunset as the student body began panicking, Sunset noticed this flew over to them as they retreated into the building.
"I'VE HAD TO JUMP THROUGH SO MANY HOOPS TONIGHT, JUST TO GET MY HANDS ON THIS CROWN! AND IT REALLY SHOULD'VE BEEN MINE ALL ALONG!" she growled as her eye twitched, then regained her composure, "BUT LET'S LET BYGONES BE BYGONES. I AM YOUR PRINCESS NOW, AND YOU WILL BE LOYAL... TO ME!!!"
She gathered dark magic in claw and closed it into a fist, instantly crushing the front entrance to the school and tossing the rubble aside. The students ran away as Sunset flew inside, she closed her eyes as put both claws to her head, and when she opened them, green and black hypnotic swirls had formed, creating dark rings around the heads of the students that latched onto them, making them hypnotized, mindless zombies. Sunset admired her handiwork as Snips and Snails walked up to her.
"ROUND THEM UP AND BRING THEM TO THE PORTAL!" she ordered her underlings.
They saluted and got to work as Sunset walked outside, only to see Twilight, Hit, and all their friends standing in her way, but she just smirked.
"SPOILER ALERT: I WAS BLUFFING WHEN I SAID I WAS GOING TO DESTROY THE PORTAL, I DON'T WANT TO RULE THIS PATHETIC LITTLE HIGH SCHOOL, I WANT EQUESTRIA! AND WITH MY OWN LITTLE TEENAGE ARMY BEHIND ME, I'M GOING TO GET IT!"
When Twilight saw that Flash was under her hypnosis spell like everyone else, she looked despaired, but it only strengthened her resolve, "No. You're not."
Sunset cackled as she hovered over her, "OH, PLEASE! WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING TO DO TO STOP ME? I HAVE MAGIC, AND YOU, HAVE, NOTHING!!!" her hair flared up like a flame for a brief moment as said that.
"She has us!" Rainbow said defiantly with Hit and the rest of the girls standing beside her.
Twilight smiled at her friends as Sunset's eye twitched again, then cackled as they all stood between her and the portal to Equestria.
"GEE, THE GANG REALLY IS ALL BACK TOGETHER AGAIN!" Sunset brushed a tear from her eye and conjured a fireball, "NOW STEP ASIDE! TWILIGHT SPARKLE HAS TRIED TO INTERFERE WITH MY PLANS ONE TOO MANY TIMES ALREADY!" the fireball grew in size as she raised it over her head, "SHE NEEDS TO BE DEALT WITH!!"
Sunset threw the massive ball of fire at the group as they all embraced themselves for attack, all but one who readied his bat in an attempt to knock it back.
"Home run!" Hit said as he swung, referencing Junpei Iori from Persona 3.
Luck was on his side as the fireball was returned to the receiver, but at a cost; the amount of magic that went into that attack diminished whatever remained of the bat's durability, causing it to break in half. Sunset could only watch as her attack came back to her and exploded on contact, damaging her greatly.
"Observe!"

Sunset took note of both and chuckled, "I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN. YOU HAD MAGIC ALL ALONG. BUT DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN STAND A CHANCE AGAINST ME, BY YOURSELF NO LESS?"
"No..." Hit, despite his answer, wasn't backing down, "But dammit, I have to try!"
Sunset cackled in sheer amusement, "FINE THEN! YOU'LL MEET YOUR END SOON ENOU--" she stopped herself when she saw Twilight and the girls glowing, "WHAT!?"
Hit couldn't help himself as he imagined a piece of music that would fit this moment.
They all smiled as Twilight pointed at Sunset, "The magic contained in my Element was able to unite with those that helped create it!"
Suddenly, all the girls began to transform; they all had tall pony ears and their hair grew long enough to look like ponytails, but only Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash had wings. Twilight began chanting the names of her friends' Elements of Harmony: Honesty, Laughter, Kindness, Generosity, Loyalty, and lastly...
"Magic!" Twilight had her own transformation with ears, tail, and bigger wings than Fluttershy and Rainbow, "Together with the crown, they create a power far beyond anything you can imagine," Sunset began to screech as she felt pain, "but it is a power you don't have the ability to control! The crown may be upon your head, Sunset Shimmer, but you cannot wield it, because you do not possess the most powerful magic of all--The Magic of Friendship!"
The girls held hands together and two halves of a rainbow appeared, combining before rushing down, not at Sunset, but at Hit Point's hand, creating something.
Just then, another screen appeared.

Hit then scowled in absolution as he knew what he had to do, he charged forward with a battle cry and slashed Sunset, creating a rainbow tornado around her as she screamed in pain.
"WHAT...IS...HAPPENING!?" Sunset managed to screech out.
Though Twilight was surprised by this, she continued, "Here, and in Equestria, it is the only magic that can truly unite us all!"
A beam of light shot out from below the girls and hit all the heads of the student body, turning them back to normal, and even hitting Demon Snips and Demon Snails, creating rainbow tornados around them too as the light the girls are giving off grew brighter until it was blinding. Soon, the light died down and the students and Hit saw the girls just waking up from passing out, especially the gigantic crater formed from where Sunset She-demon was. Hit noticed and closed out his new screens before anyone saw them.

Hit decided that he'll deal with that later as everyone approached the crater and saw Sunset, who was changed back to normal, try to pick herself up off the ground.

Sunset looked up at everybody and Hit was surprised at what he saw.
Sunset was crying. Genuinely crying.
Even though this was supposed to be a victory, Hit Point couldn't help but feel bad for her.
"I...I'm sorry." Sunset said, full of remorse, "I'm so sorry! I didn't know there was another way!"
"The Magic of Friendship doesn't just exist in Equestria...it's everywhere." Twilight turned to see her friends smiling, "You can seek it out...or you can forever be alone. The choice is yours."
Sunset proceeded to climb halfway out of the crater, "But...But all I've ever done since being here is drive everyone apart. I don't know the first thing about friendship."
Twilight took her hand and pulled her out the rest of the way, gesturing to her friends, "I bet they can teach you."
"Those are my girls! Whoo-hoo!" Spike cheered, surprising the students.
"Did that dog just talk? Whoa, weird." a guy said.
Spike looked surprised himself by his words, "Seriously? A talking dog is the weird thing about all this?"
Rarity then picked him up and pet him, "I, for one, think you're adorable."
"Oh, yeah." Spike uttered.
Twilight smiled at him before being addressed by Principal Celestia, who held out her crown, "I think this...belongs to you." Twilight kneels as Celestia continued, "A true princess in any world leads, not by forcing others to bow before her, but by inspiring others to stand with her." she places the crown upon Twilight's head, "We have all seen you are capable of doing just that, and I hope you see it too...Princess Twilight."
Twilight smiles, "...I do."
As she stood back up, the crowd cheered for her and Flash walked up to her, "Would now be a completely awkward time to ask for that dance?" he asked as he smiled nervously.
Twilight blushed and looked at the moon, seeing that she still had some time left, she reached out for his hand...
"Why are you simpletons wrapping this up like everything's all hunky-dory?"
Everybody turned to the statue to see a man wearing mismatched patches of clothing made to look like a weird dress suit, Hit knew him as drocsiD, the "Devious Tactician".
"Professor Sid? What do you mean?" Celestia asked.
He simply chuckled, "Silly Tia, that isn't my real name, nor do I work here, it was all just a front to investigate Miss Shimmer."
"Why?"
"I'll get back to you on that." he walked closer until he was ten feet away from everyone, "Sunset Shimmer. For violation of the laws of Gaia, and creating a magical mishap without the use of an illusion barrier..."
"Illusion barrier?" Twilight asked.
"...I, Discord, Lord of Disharmony, sentence you...to death." Discord pulled out a revolver pistol, making everyone gasp in panic as he was leveling it at Sunset's head.
Hit stood in between him and her with his arm held out to shield Sunset and the tip of his sword pointed at Discord, making him chuckle.
Rainbow stepped forward along with the other girls and spoke, "What makes you think you're gonna hurt her?"
"Well..." suddenly, a long, black limo pulled up in front of the school as Discord smirked, "...I've set some wheels in motion."
The rear side door opened on the limo and out stepped another man; he had blood red eyes, ash grey skin, and ink black hair, wearing a business suit the same color as his eyes. His appearance shocked Celestia and Luna to their very core since they know very well who he is.
"S-Sombra!" Luna stuttered, "This is impossible! You're supposed to be serving a life sentence in prison!"
Sombra chuckled darkly, "Oh, there's so much that you don't know, Luna." he then turned to Hit, "Mr. Hit Point. A pleasure to finally meet you."
"How do you know my name?" Hit asked.
"I know many things about you...Hit Point The Gamer."
Hit's blood ran cold as he stared at him with wide eyes, "H-How did you...?"
Sombra chuckled, "You weren't exactly subtle. That, and we've been given orders not to harm you for now..." he scowled, "Straight from the top, no less...tch, what do they see in this boy that I don't?"
"They? So it's not just you two then."
"Clever boy." Sombra praised, "Sadly, I owe you no more explanations." he snapped his fingers and three dark, formless constructs appeared out of nowhere, "Now is the time for combat. Show us your strength."
Hit Point adopted Riku's battle stance from the Kingdom Hearts game series and waited for the constructs to make the first move as he imagined another piece of music that would work for a battle against lesser beings.
The first construct charged forward and Hit retaliated with a horizontal swing, immediately destroying it. The other constructs didn't like this and they both charged and fired a dark magic attack at him, but once it made contact as Hit shielded himself, the magic blasts disappeared, making a screen pop up.

The constructs didn't like that their attacks weren't doing anything, so they combined themselves and transformed into a slightly bigger and even more formless construct, Hit's mind went on autopilot and pictured yet another music theme subconsciously.
The combined construct rushed forward to topple Hit, but he dodge rolled out of the way, and used one of his new skills.
"Dark Blast!" he shouted as he hit the beast, doing nothing but healing it, "Grr! Observe!"

With his mind clear and made up, Hit charged forward and slashed at the beast endlessly until it was no more.

Sombra clapped slowly with a smirk, making Hit glare at him.
"Clever, very clever." Sombra praised, "I can see why our superiors are so interested in you." Sombra scowled at the look Hit was giving him, "Don't make that face." he raised his hand in front of his face, "After all, we have big plans for you...and your shadow."
He slammed the palm of his hand on the ground, creating a shadow of his hand going towards Hit's shadow, which he grabbed and firmly yanked from him, making Hit scream in pain as Sombra pulled out his shadow from the ground and used his magic to give it a physical form.
Twilight rushed over to him, "Hit! Are you okay!?"
"Yeah...but I feel like...a piece of me was just...ripped away." he answered.
"That's because it was." Sombra began as he was completing his spell, "I took the liberty of tearing your shadow away from you and bring it into the physical plane to do our bidding. Oh, and it feels like he's ready."
"'He'?"
As the spell finished, the shadow began to take the shape of an impossible being, another Hit Point, but he was different; he had short dark purple hair with a white streak on the left side of his head, sickly pale skin, and blood red eyes, wearing a black shirt with a dark purple, upside-down power button symbol on it, dark purple denim shorts, and dark grey shoes. He also held a sinister-looking sword in his right hand.
"And now," Sombra declared, "Hit Point's shadow, I am your master, Sombra, and I call the shots! This boy stands in the way of executing the witch that has broken the laws of Gaia, but we are under orders not to kill him! Incapacitate him and destroy Sunset Shimmer!!" he then proceeded to laugh like a madman.
The other Hit shifted his eyes to Sombra, tightly gripped his sword, and rushed to him, swiftly beheading Sombra as he had a surprised look on his face. But as his head flew through the air, no gore came out, just a shadowy aura emanated from the open wounds, showing that Sombra wasn't even mortal.
"Oh my..." was all Discord could say at that moment.
The shadow Hit charged at the real Hit and karate kicked him in the gut, knocking him to the ground as the girls went to see if he was alright.
"That's for ripping off my look." the other Hit said with a deeper voice than the true Hit before running.
"Hey! I'm the original here!" Hit coughed out, but then saw his other self dismiss his sword in a plume of darkness and raised his hands in front of him, absorbing the dark substance Sombra's corpse leaked out, "Wait! What are you doing!?"
"Making sure Sombra's dark magic doesn't go to waste!" after absorbing all of what remained of Sombra's powers, the shell of Sombra's body disintegrated as the other Hit turned to the group, "And for the record, don't think of me as your shadow. I'm my own person. I'm Dark Point. Get it memorized."
Hit knew what a dark point was, it was a stat boost from leveling up Riku in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Re:Chain of Memories, so the name fit the shadow like a glove. Suddenly, Dark Point conjured dark magic in his back and created two black feathered wings and began to fly away with mighty flaps.
"No way...he can fly!?" Hit asked in surprise.
Discord sighed, "Well, the higher-ups will NOT be pleased when they hear about this." he snapped his fingers and disappeared in a flash of light.
"Get back here!" Hit tried to stand up, but the girls wouldn't allow it.
"Stop, you're hurt!" Twilight pleaded.
Hit wanted to protest, but he knew she was right, he relented and lied back down to regain his lost strength and reflect on everything that just happened; not only has his life been turned into a video game in reality for him, but now there was more to it than he originally knew, and now his dark side is running rampant because of the now deceased Sombra and drocsiD, truly named Discord, is on the loose. Eventually, he passed out from the overexertion his body went through, earning a well-deserved rest.
But when he awoke, he knew he was going to have A LOT of explaining to do.
As Hit Point awakened, he noticed that he was in the school clinic laying on one of the beds.
Good evening! Your HP and MP have been fully restored!
With a sigh, he lies back down and says, "Status Window."

"Wait...what time is it?"
Not long after he said that, the nurse walked in to check on him and noticed he was awake, "Oh! You're up."
"Yeah, I guess I am."
The nurse stepped outside, but Hit could hear her say, "He's awake girls, come on in."
The girls, minus Twilight, walked in and stared at Hit with glares and their arms crossed.
Hit knew why they looked so angry, Oh boy. I knew this was coming.
Applejack was the one who spoke first, "Explain. Now."
Hit sighed, "Alright, but keep in mind, this is new to me too." Hit explained everything that he knew about what was going on with him, which, truthfully, wasn't very much, he even explained that he was meeting someone in the morning who knows more than him, "...And that's all I know."
The girls seemed to be in deep thought, until Rainbow spoke up, "Well...compared to what we've seen earlier tonight, it isn't entirely hard to believe."
So it's still nighttime then. Hit thought, then spoke, "By the way, where's Twilight?"
They all looked at each other, then back to Hit when Rarity spoke next, "Twilight...left."
"Left? Left where?"
"Back to Equestria." Fluttershy answered.
"Oh..." Hit looked down, "I see..."
"But she wanted us to tell you she said 'good-bye'." Pinkie tried to cheer him up.
Hit allowed a ghost of a smile, despite [Gamer's Mind], "Well, at least she thought of me." he then realized something, "But what about the Fall Formal? And Sunset Shimmer?"
"Over." Pinkie said, sad that another party has ended.
"And she's busy repairing the damage she made to the school." Applejack added.
"Ouch." Hit said.
"Twilight told us to look out for Sunset while she's gone." Fluttershy said.
"...Good."
"Why so worried about her all of a sudden?" Rainbow questioned, "You hated her, just like everyone else, why the change in attitude?"
Hit sighed once again, "I guess you could say that I'm a bleeding heart and a firm believer in second chances."
They all smiled, "Glad you think so, darling." Rarity said.
Hit smiled back, then got up off the bed, "Well, I guess I'd better head home, school's tomorrow, after all."
Hit proceeded to head out the side entrance, since the front entrance was closed off due to repairs, and head on home, but not before sending a pitying glance at Sunset as she was helping the dunderhead duo fix the damage they caused, he felt bad for what happened, but knew it had to be done. As Hit finally made it back home and laid in his own bed, he wondered what became of his darker half...
A Few Hours Earlier...
A girl with puffy orange, yellow streaked hair ran out of the fast food joint to see the flash of light that appeared from a distance with two others slowly joining her; one with a ponytail and one with long pigtails. After she had seen it, a shimmer came from the ruby on her necklace, making her gasp.
"Did you feel that?" she then bared a malicious smirk, "Do you know what that is?"
The other two thought and muttered, "I don't know", making the supposed leader deadpan and grip the pigtailed girl.
"It's Equestrian magic!" she said.
"But this world doesn't HAVE Equestrian magic." the pigtailed girl replied in a bored manner.
"It does now," the leader turned back to where the light came from, "and we're going to use to make everyone in this pathetic little world adore us!"
The other two joined her side with devious smiles, anxious to gain more power.
"Really? Is that all you care about?"
They jumped and turned to their right to see a dark boy with pitch black wings land before them.
"Who are you?!" the leader demanded to know.
"I am Dark Point."
"Dark...Point?" the ponytailed girl asked, confused.
The boy scowled, "I'll explain later. I can take you to where that magic is coming from."
The ponytailed girl gasped loudly, "For realizes?!"
The leader stepped in, "What's the catch?"
The boy smirked, "Straight to the point, I like that." he then got serious again, "All I ask is that you bide your time, prepare yourselves for what's to come, and approach the situation carefully."
The pigtailed girl spoke up, "Okay, but what do YOU want out of this?"
"Let's just say that...I and somebody else have a score to settle."
"That's it?" the leader asked.
"That's it."
She smiled again, "Fine by me."
Dark Point grinned internally, knowing that he'll have the honor of snuffing out Hit Point once and for all, and becoming the original. But first things first, he had to prepare, and wait, and plan his next move...
Several Weeks Later...
Things have gotten better at CHS since the Fall Formal: people are beginning to trust each other a little more, new friendships are forged, and, begrudgingly, every student in the school openly despises Sunset Shimmer for everything she's done, if it wasn't for the girls and Hit Point, she would've most likely been attacked in retaliation for what happened. Right after the Fall Formal, the principals called Hit into their office and presented him with a book that was found in the crater made by the harmony tornado, and when he grabbed it, a screen appeared.

The book disintegrated and the knowledge within deposited itself in Hit's mind. Once the process was done, another screen appeared.

Not long after that, Sweetie Drops, alias Bon-Bon, explained everything she could about the laws of Gaia and the world of the Abyss. It was scary nonetheless, but Hit's [Gamer's Mind] skill prevented him from properly freaking out. Now, everyone in the school were prepping for the Musical Showcase event coming up to help raise money for the school, even Hit, who normally stays out of stuff like this.
Meanwhile, Sunset was trying, and failing, to assist some people with their band posters, but they flat out refused her help, not letting her prove that she's truly changed. After her epic fails, she was called over by Pinkie and walked over to the girls and Hit, all while the students were openly whispering cruel things about her.
"I didn't think the entire school would be here." Sunset said, gloomy.
Hit placed a hand on her shoulder, "Don't let get them to you," he then openly called out through the entire gym, "EVERYBODY HERE ARE JUST ACTING LIKE A BUNCH OF SORE LOSERS!"
Some had the gall to look undignified by Hit's choice of words.
"YEAH! YOU BETTER HAVE THAT LOOK! MAKES YOU ALL LOOK EVEN LAMER!"
Just after that, the principals walked and some of the students tried to tell them what Hit said to them all, but he pretended to have a halo over his head and the Rainbooms simply said, "we didn't hear a thing". The principals then began their announcements, then ended them with mention of the Fall Formal, making the whole school glare at Sunset and her curling in on herself. When the principals weren't looking, Hit flipped them all off and pretended to scratch his crotch in front of them with a scowl on his face, but when they tried to tell the principals, Hit just stopped and looked like he was helping the Rainbooms, angering Principal Celestia.
"One more outburst, and you'll all be banned from the showcase!"
The students looked scared as Celestia turned away with Hit holding up a sign that said, "SCORE ONE FOR THE GOOD GUYS!" making the students growl at him.
Later...
"Ugh, I am never gonna live that down!" Sunset moaned.
Hit just ignored the rest of their conversation, he didn't feel like he had a part to play in it anyway, "Inventory."
As the screen came up, he immediately noticed the lack of a certain weapon he had that was now sitting in there as a Material Item.
I gotta get another weapon to replace my last one, and I seriously doubt another baseball bat is gonna help me in the future...hmm...what about a sword? It sounds like a good idea in theory, but where would I get one?
"Sunset Shimmer, please report to the Main Foyer." Vice Principal Luna's voice boomed over the loudspeaker.
Sunset began to leave, mentioning something about being a tour guide for some new students and to help them get to know the new her. Hit sighed and closed out his window, knowing he had to play bodyguard again, and followed her.
"Hi! Are you the new girls I'm supposed to show around?" Sunset asked.
Three girls stepped out of the shadows and Hit had to admit, while their entrance was creepy, they were quite attractive, "We are." the girl with the abnormally large hair answered.
Hit took this time to go over their overhead names.

Hit immediately became suspicious of these girls, it's clear that was more to them than meets the eye, and not just because of their levels.
"Canterlot High is such a great place, I'm sure you'll like it here." Sunset said as she began to lead them.
"Oh yes, we do sense there's something, magical about this place." Adagio said, cryptically.
Hit briefly turned his head to glance at them, "Hmm..."
"Hey," Sonata whispered to her leader, "doesn't he look just like--OOF!" she was elbowed in the gut by Aria before she could finish her sentence.
Sunset started listing off the classes the school had as they walked past them, all while Hit kept his suspicions to himself.
I don't know who exactly these girls are, but I just can't help but get the feeling that something isn't right here...
"A musical showcase?" Adagio's voice roused Hit from his thoughts.
Sunset said something in response to that, but Hit was focused on how the new girls would react.
"We have been known to sing from time to time." Aria said, smugly.
"Hello! We sing, like, all the time! It's how we get people to do what we want!" Sonata corrected.
Wait, what did she just say?! Hit thought.
Adagio made a cutting motion across her neck, telling her cohort to cut it out.
"Wh-What did I say?" Sonata asked, clearly not realizing what she had just said.
"What you MEANT to say is that a musical showcase is a great way to get to know the students better." Adagio said, trying to dodge any suspicion.
A little late for that now, you've got suspicious written all over you, ladies. Hit thought.
"Oh, yeah," Sonata began, "what she said is what I meant to say, that's what I meant...to say." she concluded with a big smile.
"Oi..." Hit pinched the bridge of his nose. Geez, and I thought the students we already had were circus freaks!
Aria and Sonata looked like they were arguing about something, but Adagio interrupted, "You'll have to excuse them, they're idiots."
Sunset just stared at them weirdly, until she noticed their ruby choker necklaces, "Those are pretty." she reached out towards Adagio's, "Where did you--"
But Adagio herself wasn't having it, and gripped her wrist before she could even lay a finger on the gem, making Hit tense up, ready for a fight, she realized what she did and let go, laughing nervously, "Sorry! As you can see, these pendants are important to us, we'd hate for anything to happen to them."
The new girls walked off, except Sonata, who was grabbed and pulled away, leaving Sunset to her thoughts.
"Figure it out yet?" Hit asked her.
"Huh?" Sunset uttered, confused.
He sighed, "Guess not. They can't hide their true intentions from me, remember?"
"Wait...you mean..."
"Yeah. They're DEFINITELY NOT ordinary. If I see them again, I'll use my [Observe] skill and figure the rest out later. Right now, let's head to lunch, we gotta let the others know what's going on, and I'm hungry."
With that, Sunset nodded and the two continued on to the cafeteria to inform the girls of this latest development, not noticing the suspicious trio peeking out from behind the corner, obviously spying on them.
After arriving at the cafeteria, the students, thankfully, were too hungry to antagonize Sunset and just ate their food as she and Hit received their own lunch and sat with the rest of the girls.
"So how was the tour?" Applejack asked.
"I don't know." Sunset began, "Those girls...there was something off about them..."
"Off like this?" Pinkie used her hair to looked bearded, "Or off like this?" then she made herself look like the devil of sorts with carrots for fangs, "Or, or--"
Rainbow stopped her, "I think we should let them tell us."
It was at that moment that one of the carrots fell out of her mouth and reminded Hit Point too much of Discord, making him shudder.
I swear, if I ever see that horse's ass again...! Hit began to think until Sunset pulled him out of his thoughts.
"That's just it, I can't put my finger on it! They just acted sort of...strange around me...but I don't think they've heard about what I've done before."
"Whatever makes you say that, darling?" Rarity ask her.
Sunset simply pointed at Hit and he took the reins of the conversation, "Remember what I told you about my ability?"
Realization flashed in their eyes as Rainbow got serious and leaned forward, "Did you use that [Observe] skill thingy?"
"Not yet, their eyes were on both of us, but I will the second they walk through that door."
Hit glared at the double doors, patiently waiting for the suspicious girls as he subconsciously ate his lunch...
Meanwhile...
The aforementioned girls of interest were in fact standing right outside the cafeteria doors, plotting their next move.
"This is it, girls, the moment we've all been waiting for!" Adagio declared.
"Lunch?!" Sonata guessed in excitement.
Adagio groaned in annoyance at the wrong answer, "No, the chance to get our true Equestrian magic back."
"Oh. Right."
"We just have to make them want something SO badly, that they'll fight to get it."
"So we're just gonna do what we always do? Stir up some trouble and soak up the negative emotions like before? Some plan, Adagio." Aria remarked.
"It won't be the same as the times before!" Adagio insisted, "There is Equestrian magic here, and if we get our hands on it, we will gain enough power to this entire world do our bidding."
She smiled maliciously, but stopped when Sonata spoke up again, "But we can get lunch AFTER though, right? It's Taco Tuesday!"
Adagio waltzed up to Sonata, "Just follow my lead."
"Or my lead." Aria said out loud with a smirk.
Adagio gripped the front of her shirt and growled out, "MY. LEAD."
She walked back to the double doors as Aria scowled and Sonata giggled to herself.
"Just remember." Dark Point morphed himself out of Adagio's shadow, "The boy who looks like me. Steer clear of him. Not only is he mine to deal with, you just simply can't win against him."
"And why's that? We'll just put him under our spell and--"
"That's just it; you can't. He's completely immune." Dark cut Adagio off.
"What...do you mean?"
Dark sighed, "He has an ability called, [Gamer's Mind], it allows him to be completely in control of himself and his emotions. Simple spells like your mind control magic won't work. That one ability makes him immune to any negative psychological status effects."
The three were shocked, but then Adagio started to chuckle, "So...there's one person in this world that can actually resist our magic...I think I like him already."
Dark scowled, "REMEMBER. He. Is. MINE."
She waved him off, "Fine, fine."
Dark glared at her for a few seconds longer before dissolving back into her shadow, completely unaware of her thoughts.
I may just have to speak with him at some point. He would make quite an ally...or, if he's as handsome as his shadow self, a lover...
Just as Hit finally finished his lunch the doors burst open and lo and behold there they were, and they were...vocalizing? Regardless, just as they started to sing actual lyrics, Hit did a triple [Observe] on them.

"Huh. Well I'll be damned. Definitely didn't see that coming." Hit said.
The girls all looked at the windows as the trio of trouble continued their song, with them distracted, Hit pressed [Accept].
Curse my bleeding heart...
"Hey!" Rainbow harshly whispered, "Why'd you accept the quest?! You don't NEED it!"
Hit glared at her unnervingly, making her bravado crumble, "You know damn well why."
They looked back the crowd as they began to sing along, then after the music ended, everyone began arguing with one another, which was completely abnormal to the once usual friendly atmosphere. Just as they were leaving to tell the principals, Dark Point had heard the whole conversation as he hopped from shadow to shadow back to Adagio's.

As the girls began conversing with one another, Hit was scrolling through his skill list and saw nothing about "Illusion Barriers" that Discord spoke of that night.
Maybe I should talk to Sweetie Drops again...well, after I break her out of this weird spell those girls have got everyone in.
"Dark magic? I find that very hard to believe." Celestia said.
Before Hit knew it, he found himself in the principal's office just as the Rainbooms were trying to plead their case to the principal and vice-principal about the weird trio of girls. Soon they discovered that both of the principals were currently under the evil girls' spell and chose to retreat for now, knowing they weren't going to get anywhere with them as they are now. As they conversed about the situation at the Wondercolt statue, Hit began to think for a little bit, Everybody's acting completely different from how they were before, and it DEFINITELY has something to do with those girls and that singing of theirs, thankfully, thanks to [Gamer's Mind], I'm completely immune to their weird-ass brainwashing spell, but what about the other girls? They don't have my ability, so how come they were spared of the "Dazzlings" mind control?
Hit sighed at his answerless questions, "Skill List."
A window with a list of his current skillset had appeared in front of him and as he went over them all, he realized that he doesn't have much when it comes to combat, and grinding them all would take time that he didn't have right now, he knew the Dazzlings had to stopped ASAP, so he thought of the somewhat next best thing.
I need a new weapon and I need it REAL soon. Otherwise, who knows what'll happen if those freaky girls are left alone for too long? Also, before this "Battle of the Bands" is over...I need to get that Sonata character on our side.
"Hey! You coming, Game Boy?!"
Hit was roused from his thoughts by Rainbow Dash, who, as well as the rest of the group, was headed back into the school, but stopped to wait for him to catch up.
I'll think about this later, right now my friends need me...heh, my "friends", never thought I'd have any besides a group of nerds...
Hit ceased his internal monologue and ran to catch up with the girls.
Soon enough, they made it to Sunset's locker as she dug out a dusty, old book with her symbol on the cover.
"Maybe it still works..." she uttered.
Rarity was about to interject, but Hit stopped her, "Observe."
Sunset Shimmer's Journal [Key Item] An enchanted journal that can send messages to another enchanted journal of the same type. A memento of Sunset's from Princess Celestia.
"An enchanted journal that can send messages?" Hit asked.
"Well, yeah," Sunset began, "I guess deep down I knew I was making a big mistake and wanted to find a way to stay in contact with my former mentor."
Hit felt concerned, he remembered from his [Observe] skill that she and this princess had a falling out of sorts, and wished that there was something he could've done to help her back then.
That was then, this is now, and I'm here for her now. Hit thought to himself, he then had a stray thought about whether or not he would do the same for anyone else, family or friend.
"Well whataya waiting for? Get to writing!" Rainbow broke his focus as she held out a pen to Sunset.
She took the pen and mentally prepared herself, "Never thought I'd be writing these words again. Dear Princess Celestia…"
God, I hope this works. Hit thought.
30 Minutes Later...
During the time they waited at the statue, where the girls told Hit the portal was, he was practicing his new [Fire Magic Mastery] skill by using the only spell he knew: Fire Orb. Hit kept summoning and dispelling it to grind the skill's level instead of flat out blasting random things, without the use of those illusion barriers, Hit didn't even want to think about what would happen if Discord found out that he was destroying stuff at complete random. So far, the skill's level only went up five times before he finally got bored and looked at his skill.
[Fire Magic Mastery (Active) LV 5 EXP 6.27%] Allows The Gamer to use fire magic through certain spells. The power of the spell depends on this skill's level and The Gamer's INT.

"Hmm...not much of an improvement, but it could be useful down the line." Hit mused.
Rainbow sighed, "I'm starting to think she's not coming..."
But fate begged to differ as the portal shimmered to life and Twilight and her canine companion Spike flew out of it, briefly surprising the group.
"Twilight!" they all cheered.
"I'm back." Twilight said as she awkwardly took Sunset's offered hand to help her up and the others crowded her, "And I've got some bad news about those new girls."
Hit put his hand on her shoulder, "Not here. Let's go somewhere more private."
The group arrived at the Sweet Shoppe and ordered some drinks to discuss the issue of the new girls and anything new with Twilight and Spike, which Hit immediately noticed something new with the former, despite tuning out majority of the conversation.

Twilight Sparkle «Princess of Friendship» Title: Bearer of the Element of Magic
Twilight Sparkle had just arrived from a parallel universe called "Equestria" in order to aid her friends in freeing the school from the Sirens' spell. She had just become a princess that spreads friendship everywhere by finishing an impossible spell by the famous Unicorn, Starswirl the Bearded, and in doing that, she had ascended from a Unicorn to an Alicorn, which is a being that possesses all traits of Unicorn, Pegasus, and Earth Pony, thus making her royalty. Her title gives her a slight boost in INT and WIS. Arriving in this world has divided her overall status by 3. Her Occupation has also changed.
Hit closed the window when he noticed the group staring at him, "What?"
Twilight sighed, "I still don't know how you do that."
"Well, it's kinda like magic, just that it was given to me by the planet itself. A friend of mine explained as much as she could to me."
"What about those 'illusion barriers'?" Sunset asked, "Discord almost executed me for not using one."
"I'm still sketchy on that detail myself, but if I can break my friend out of this spell she's in, hopefully she can tell me more."
"Regardless, we've got a party to crash." Twilight interjected.
The group finished their beverages and made their way back to the school with Hit trailing behind them, lost in his thoughts.
After arriving inside the gym, Hit immediately felt the tension in the air within the room and it was almost suffocating him mentally.
Thank Gaia for [Gamer's Mind]. he thought.
Soon, after a few failed attempts at mingling to pass time, the Sirens finally made their appearance and started talking amongst themselves that Hit couldn't hear much of. While he waited for the girls to make their move, Hit occupied himself with his thoughts once again.
Hopefully they can pull this off, otherwise I may have to step in, just in case this gets hairy. And besides, just about everybody here is only around Level 2 to 3, it's not like they'll be able to put up much of a fight against me.
"FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC!!!" Twilight declared.

...Nothing.
Hit's mind and heart rate went into overdrive, despite [Gamer's Mind] trying to keep him calm, "I was afraid of this. Fight or flight time!" he charged towards the Sirens, readying a Fire Orb spell, when he felt something punched him in the gut, he looked down and saw his dark half Dark Point glaring at him and his fist crammed into Hit's abdomen.

"You will go. No further." Dark Point said, shoving Hit to the ground and knocking him out.
His vision faded in and out, and could faintly recall somebody with fiery locks swiftly carrying his unconscious body out of the gym.
Sun...set...
Darkness soon took him once more.
Hit woke with a stabbing pain in his body which started from his belly, making him groan as he clutched his throbbing gut.
Good afternoon! Your HP and MP have been fully recovered!
"Oh, piss off!" Hit cursed, then regretted it as yelling only made his pain worse, "D-Dammit...Status Window..."
