> PBB: SuperFolder Ghostbuster (Book the First) > by AntiBronyBenSwolo > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Spark of War: Part 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A long time ago, in a multiverse of unlimited possibilities... It is a time of great distraught. The Jedi Order has been vanquished, with very little survivors to be heard of. One such survivor, a padawan named SuperFolder Ghostbuster, has harnessed the powers of the multiverse and escaped in another universe 15 years into the future. In his newfound exile, he befriended a Time Lord crime fighter named Darkdragon, and together, they built an interdimensional device to help travel the mysteries and dangers of the multiverse. With this newfound power, Ghostbuster, along with Darkdragon, a wizard named XQ3D, a cow named Cow Lantern, a rogue swordsman named Count Zora, and a lovable Symbiote, have founded one of the most powerful organizations yet to be revealed to potential enemies: The Pretty Brainless Businessmen. Ghostbuster thought creating the PBB along with his new allies would prove to be the end of his worries. But he was wrong, as his problems were just the beginning... As Ghostbuster was preparing a portal to another universe, one which he set to random, he sensed a disturbance in the Force. Could it be that he sensed the one who destroyed the Jedi Order, and the young Jedi was gonna go fight him? Or was it something much...much worse. There was only one way to find out. Ghostbuster walked through the portal and saw flashes of a memory, blocking him from what he walked into, until he realized where he ended up: Equestria. Ghostbuster flashed back over and over to a battle that the Galactic Republic had with Equestria back in the Clone Wars. He remembered that he almost died in that battle. He remembered how many clones died in that battle. He remembered that he was cursed. Cursed to never use the Force in Equestria as a pony. As he examined himself, he saw that his human form was transformed into that of his old enemy. He changed into a colt with an orange coat, a black mane and short tail, and his iconic Origami Yoda symbol was strangely placed on his butt (he had yet to figure out why). Then he realized that if a pony were to spot Ghostbuster roaming around Equestria freely, he would have been arrested on the spot. The young Jedi ran into a nearby forest, anticipating another exile away from the ponies and into escape yet again. As he galloped into safety, he tripped over a tree root and fell unconscious afterwords. Later, a large looming shadow hung over the old padawan's inhumanized body as he was being dragged away by a mysterious figure. When he woke up, he found himself in a bed with huge green blankets, soft plush pillows, and a screeching rabbit right next to him. As much as Ghostbuster wanted the strange rabbit to shut up so he couldn't get arrested, he couldn't. He might as well just sit there and wait for the authorities to show up and arrest him right then and there. As the door opened, SuperFolder expected loud booming voices of royal guards abusing the poor Jedi, but instead, he heard the soft gentle voice of a girl, no, a mare. "Ummm....Are you okay?" the voice said to Ghostbuster as he saw a mare with a yellow coat, a long pink mane and matching tail, and two wings. "It depends" Ghostbuster said, unsure about what to say. This confused the mare, and caused a bit of worry in Ghostbuster, as all he wanted was to have nothing to do with the ponies. "I..uhh...thank you for your hospitality, but I have to get going." Ghostbuster said as he tried to walk away, but wasn't able to, due to not being used to four legs instead of two, as well as being passed out cold for who knows how long. Any attempt at walking away failed as he was stuck sitting on the bed. The mare then helped Ghostbuster up. "I didn't....uhhh...how silly of me...I didn't catch what the name was,." the mare asked politely and quietly, but still curious enough. Ghostbuster was then sheepish to answer what his name was, as he feared her potential fear of Jedi. Then he noticed she didn't recognize him on the spot as "SuperFolder Ghostbuster". And if she doesn't know, then maybe there are very few ponies who know of his true identity. Ghostbuster then decided to make a fake alias for himself. "Oh. My apologies for not introducing myself. My name is Ember Almond" the sneaky Jedi lied as she believed him. The mare let out a small giggle "Well, nice to meet you Ember Almond. I'm Fluttershy". Ghostbuster then made a daring attempt to get back up on his...hooves...and tried to get back into the woods where he believed he could finally escape, until Fluttershy stopped him in his tracks. "Why are you trying to get back into Everfree Forest? Don't you know how dangerous it is?" The young mare said as Ghostbuster was tempted to say something like "At least it's not as dangerous as you ponies", until he realized that saying that could get him in trouble. Ghostbuster then just looked at her until he could come up with a reason, but was stopped by an offer Fluttershy gave him: "If you want, you could hang out with my friends for the time being until you're ready to go...where ever it is your going". SuperFolder Ghostbuster was tempted to say "no" to the pegasus' offer until he considered that he as SuperFolder would say no, and therefor wouldn't blend in very well. In order to blend in as the self made alias "Ember Almond", it seemed that Ghostbuster's only option was to accept the offer. Also, there was something about Fluttershy that ticked off SuperFolder, and it seemed worth the investigation. "I guess I could stay for a little while." The Jedi Knight "Ember Almond" said to Fluttershy. And so, the two took a trip downtown to give Ghostbuster a tour of pony world. As they were trotting along, Fluttershy stopped and told her undercover companion that she had to return books to a friend first. SuperFolder wasn't all that concerned to hear the small errand, but his distrust bloomed when Fluttershy walked him to a giant crystaline tree. "So, is your friend a miner, or an owl?" Ghostbuster said, poking fun at her friend's home, which was responded with "Oh no, she's not a miner. But with all the books she's read, I guess you could call her an owl. She's a princess too, by the way". Ghostbuster had a slight panic attack, but kept it under wraps to not blow his cover. It wasn't enough as Fluttershy asked "What's the matter? Haven't you at least heard of her before? How could you not remember all those times we saved your life?" and this had Ghostbuster worried like crazy. So many questions for him to answer. So little time. "I'm not really a big fan of the princesses" is all SuperFolder could tell his new pony friend for now. "Oh hey Fluttershy! Have you come to return the book?" called out a purple alicorn from the window. Fluttershy pulled out a slightly heavy book with a blue cover and gold lining. "I got it right here Twilight." Fluttershy called out to her friend, as she raced down the stairs. Twilight opened the doors and retrieved the book from the introvert, only to have both ponies hug each other out of friendship. "If the two of you need me, I'm gonna vomit in that bush." Ghostbuster said as he did not want to be looking at lovey dovey moments like that throughout his career. Twilight, who saw Ghostbuster as just some random pony who followed Fluttershy, decided to introduce herself. "I'm afraid we haven't been introduced. I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle. Princess of Friendship in Equestria. Might I ask what your name is?" Twilight said to the Incognito Jedi as he was about to speak, but was stopped by Fluttershy, who introduced him herself. "This is Ember Almond, and I found him unconscious in the woods. He doesn't really want to make that many friends, but I think we can persuade him otherwise." Fluttershy said. Twilight agreed with her pegasus friend as Fluttershy and Ghostbuster set of on their trip once more. "What can we do for lunch?" Fluttershy mummered to herself, practicing her kindness on her guest, which was then answered by Ghostbuster being asked by Fluttershy if he likes soup or not. A few hours later, Fluttershy and "Ember Almond" stopped at a place where the two could have something to eat while Fluttershy gives Ghostbuster his tour of the town. "So, was that princess your ONLY friend, or are there more?" Superfolder asked his fellow introvert as Fluttershy looked behind Ghostbuster a bit and saw a little bit of pink in the bushes. "I have quite a few friends." Fluttershy said to the Jedi Knight. As they continued their discussion, the small sliver of pink that Fluttershy saw slowly revealed itself to be another mare. The pink mare slowly walked to SuperFolder and Fluttershy without either of them noticing until a screaming "Ohmygosh!" shot into Ghostbuster's ears. Fluttershy however was unphased. "Hey there Pinkie Pie" Fluttershy responded. Ghostbuster panted and asked Fluttershy if this "Pinkie Pie" was another one of her friends, which Fluttershy acknowledged and confirmed. SuperFolder tried to introduce himself as "Ember Almond" to Pinkie Pie, but every attempt as saying anything was cut to a halt when Pinkie's excitement filled her so much that she wouldn't shut up. SuperFolder wasn't even sure she was seperating her words correctly, so it sounded like her entire sentences sounded like one huge word. Ghostbuster's personal space was being overwhelmed until Fluttershy asked "Pinkie, I appreciate you trying to make a new friend, but don't you have a party to set up?", in which Pinkie gave Ghostbuster some breathing room. "As a matter of fact, I do have a party to set up. I'll invite you Fluttershy, as long as you bring your special somepony with you". Fluttershy was shocked to hear it, but laughed at it. Ghostbuster was only left with confusion when the term "Special Somepony" came up. He decided to put the pieces together himself. "I just remembered, I have to help ANOTHER friend with something. I can't have you wandering off alone, so I'm gonna have you follow me" Fluttershy told him. Ghostbuster only asked his questions in his head as he followed her to their next destination. As they ventured forth on the tour, they ended up in a farm harvesting nothing but apples. And one of those farmers welcomed SuperFolder and Fluttershy with pride. "Well howdy there Fluttershy. Glad you could make it". The farmer said to Fluttershy. Ghostbuster realized that this is yet another one of Fluttershy's friends. The farmer introduced herself to the undercover Jedi as "Applejack" and asked Fluttershy to deal with a whole bunch of bats going crazy over the apples. While Fluttershy was off to deal with the winged mammals, Applejack decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to (attempt) to befriend the strange colt. "You sure seem like a nice fella. Have an apple on the house." Applejack said as Ghostbuster was given an apple. Ghostbuster just gave the farm girl a nervous smile as he walked off waiting for Fluttershy to return so he could leave. SuperFolder sat up against the barn wall, waiting to leave, when Applejack came up and asked him "What's with the long face, sugar?". Ghostbuster responded shrewdly, saying it's none of her business. Applejack was but curious to figure out what he had on his mind. Knowing her ability to tell truth from lies, she interrogated the human-turned-colt. Ghostbuster figured out what she was trying to do, so he answered very vaguely to outsmart Applejack. A few minutes of this interrogation elapsed as Fluttershy returned from helping the Apple Family and their bat dilemma with relative ease. Ghostbuster would stand in curiosity at the pegasus he was following. "She...can communicate with animals while no one else could? Interesting. There's more to this universe than meets the eye. I think she might even have the Force." Ghostbuster thought to himself, and maybe he was right. But maybe he was wrong. There's only one way to find out. > Spark of War: Part 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After Fluttershy and "Ember Almond" left Sweet Apple Acres finishing their errand, the two trekked through town. However, through the skies, they were being watched, and SuperFolder could almost sense it, despite his curse. He peeked from the corner of his eye to see if anyone was following them. He thought at first maybe it was Princess Celestia, or worse, a Sith Lord. "That's ridiculous, why would a Sith Lord be looking for me in another universe?" Ghostbuster thought to himself, but was still uneasy. Ghostbuster was left even more uneasy by the fact that Fluttershy didn't seem to notice. It was only until Ghostbuster saw a dark cloud charging up a storm that his instincts kicked in. "Watch out!" SuperFolder said as he nudged Fluttershy out of the way, leaped to the side of a building, and make a bigger leap right into the cloud! As soon as he passed through the clouds, he felt the bruises of tripping in the forest again and then some. At least he wasn't unconscious this time around at least. "Rainbow Dash, was this another prank of yours?" Fluttershy commented to a pegasus with a blue coat and a multicolored mane and tail that landed next to Ghostbuster. Rainbow Dash glared at SuperFolder for a moment in anger for spoiling her fun, but smirked for a moment to admire his skill. "You may be an earth pony, but you pulled an amazing stunt back there." Rainbow Dash said to Ghostbuster, who was in the middle of recovering from his rough landing. "Who said anything about an earth pony? I'm just a normal pony, aren't I? No wings, no horn, nothing." Ghostbuster said, which resulted in Rainbow Dash snickering at the remark. "This dude cannot be serious, can he?" Rainbow Dash said, while laughing. Fluttershy, however, wasn't laughing and whispered it into Ghostbuster's ear. "If you don't have a horn or wings, that means you're an earth pony. I thought you already know this. It's common knowledge." Fluttershy said. A concerned look was given to Ghostbuster. The Jedi Knight might yet have blown his cover. Rainbow Dash realized that SuperFolder was actually very serious, and decided to make him feel a little better about asking such a silly question. "Don't worry. We'll let this be our little secret, kay?" Dash said the undercover jedi, as he finally got up. "Trust me, I have plenty of little secrets already, but I'll accept it." Ghostbuster said in response to the offer "I'm afraid we haven't introduced each other. My name's Ember Almond". Rainbow Dash introduced herself back, and they headed off on their own separate ways. "It's nice to see you making friends, but I'm late for my spa date at the moment. I still have to keep an eye on you, so would you care join me?" Fluttershy asked to the undercover Jedi. Ghostbuster was uneasy at the idea of going to the spa, but he encouraged himself that it would be the closest thing to being in Jedi Meditation. At least it would be worth while. Ghostbuster agreed to Fluttershy's suggestion, and the two headed over to the location. Waiting at the spa was a unicorn with a white coat and a purple mane and tail that both look to be taken care of beyond belief. Ghostbuster thought he saw Naboo's next queen or something. "Oh, Fluttershy darling. So glad you could make it. And you brought a new friend too. I never thought you were the kind of pony to be socializing dear." The unicorn said, gesturing to Fluttershy and Ghostbuster. Fluttershy blushed, and Ghostbuster merely gave a cheeky wave to the unicorn. "Good to see you again Rarity. This is my friend Ember Almond. He's a bit of a traveler." Fluttershy said, as the two mares and the disguised human entered the spa. As the three settled down with mineral baths and cucumbers over their eyes, Ghostbuster's rest got the best of him and fell asleep for a few seconds. Fluttershy and Rarity giggled to themselves to the sounds of Ghostbuster's quiet sleeping, but little did they know, a vision was going on inside Ghostbuster's head. In the vision, Ghostbuster was in his human form, leading a batallion of clone troopers with his green lightsaber against an armored enemy, but unlike any republic trooper, mandalorian warrior, or jedi knight Ghostbuster has ever seen. Instead, Ghostbuster was leading his troops to fight the royal guards of Princess Celestia. As a matter of fact, the Princess was there leading her royal guards against the Jedi. Shouts of clone troopers and shots of blaster fire rang out across the battlefield, painting the dusty grey warzone with blue. Princess Celestia then swooped in, dodging shot after shot, and eliminated some of Ghostbuster's soldiers. Ghostbuster could not watch any longer as he ran towards the princess, the green of his lightsaber following close-by, and swung the blade towards the gold and white glowing horn of the Sun Princess. As the horn and the lightsaber clashed, Ghostbuster woke up from his nightmare. All that was left of Fluttershy and Rarity's small laughter was a smile seen on Rarity and Fluttershy's face going from yellow to red like a tomato. "How long was I out?" Ghostbuster asked, rubbing his eye while yawning. Fluttershy explained that he was asleep for a good 15 minutes, and while he was asleep, Fluttershy and Rarity discussed the possibility of SuperFolder and Fluttershy becoming "Special Someponies". Ghostbuster blushed for a moment because he never really considered the possibility of settling down and raising a family with a loved one. He even tried to imagine the loved one being Fluttershy. She really did reach out to him in just under a day in a way no one else could. Maybe the Force brought them together. "I...don't know what to say" Ghostbuster said in shock. He knew that he could finally settle down and get the serenity he always wanted, even if he was undercover as a pony. But he also knew the Jedi Code; "There is no emotion, there is peace", He shouldn't be romantically involved with Fluttershy, but this is the first time he was even considering breaking the Jedi Code. As they finished the spa date, Fluttershy and SuperFolder Ghostbuster exited, quieter due to the awkward proposal, but all Ghostbuster could repeat in his head was; "What was the Force telling me?" > Spark of War: Part 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Ember Almond, could you be a dear and wait here for a second? I gotta do something in here real quick." Fluttershy asked SuperFolder once they reached a building that looked like a witch was hunting Hansel and Gretel. Ghostbuster nodded and waited outside a few feet away from the door. Now that he was finally alone, he decided to call upon his team for backup. He just needed enough time, and by the looks of it, time he indeed had. "Darkdragon, do you copy? I repeat, do you copy? This is SuperFolder Ghostbuster. Come in Darkdragon". The sneaky Jedi said into a black and yellow watch he smuggled on what used to be his wrist. At first, Ghostbuster heard nothing but static, but soon enough, a voice familiar to SuperFolder came through the watch. "This is Darkdragon. What is it Ghostbuster?" Darkdragon replied all the way from another universe. Ghostbuster breathed a sigh of relief as he was planning his escape. "My scouting mission has been compromised. I've been transported in a universe that I have...a past with...and now I need to get out." Ghostbuster said into the watch, still making sure nobody is listening in on the interdimensional adventurer's conversation. "What happened to the portal?" Darkdragon asked Ghostbuster. It was a shock none of them hasn't thought of that yet. "Gah! Sweet mother of Shmi Skywalker! I left it back at her house." Ghostbuster said, facepalming at his own forgetfulness and failure. He just needed to find a way to get his stuff back without anyone figuring out his dark past. "Wait, who's 'she'?" Darkdragon asked, as the front door to the building slowly creaked open. Ghostbuster's heart raced as he had to come up with a plan. "No time for that. Prepare your TARDIS and meet me at these coordinates at 0500 minutes! SuperFolder Ghostbuster out!" the jedi said, as he ended the call and hid his watch. Fluttershy peered out the window, seeing Ghostbuster with a slightly guilty smile on his face, which she did not mind. He had nothing to hide in her eyes. "We're ready for you to come in now." Fluttershy said as she lead him inside the building. Fluttershy had SuperFolder close his eyes for a few second, and in those few second, Ghostbuster could hear someone whispering. He wasn't sure if it was Fluttershy or not. Whoever it was, however, was counting down. "5...4...3...2...1..." the mysterious pony whispered, until they stopped "...We're ready." Someone proclaimed. Ghostbuster thought it was Fluttershy, but this was more of a cheery and outgoing voice rather than the shy and timid pegasus Ghostbuster was rescued by in the Forest. Ghostbuster, on cue, opened his eyes and was surprised by all of Fluttershy's friends, throwing a surprise party for the undercover knight. Even some ponies Ghostbuster never met were attending the party. Many emotions flooded Ghostbuster on that moment, most of them the Jedi Order would not let him feel. Fear, concern, and insecurity most of all. "What do you think?" Fluttershy asked. She was only doing the best she could to befriend him after all, so Ghostbuster decided to sugarcoat his honest opinions so he wouldn't hurt anyone. "I'm surprised you did all this for me, and I really am grateful, but I must be honest; I was only here to visit. I don't have enough time, so I must get going." Ghostbuster announced. Half of the ponies were disappointed to hear that, while the other half understood him, and carried the party on. "If it makes you feel better, I'll go get your stuff from Fluttershy's cabin. She told me where it is." a familiar purple pony offered Ghostbuster. "Oh no, I'll get it myself. Thanks for the offer though Twinkle." Ghostbuster said, trying to remember her name while not trying to blow his cover. He didn't want her to find out his Jedi abilities. "It's Twilight, actually. And don't worry, your stuff is in good hooves. I'm doing this mainly because Pinkie wants you to stay for presents." Twilight responded. Ghostbuster blushed with embarrassment at getting her name wrong for a moment. Then, a pile of presents, enough to build a cardboard house for a child, was carried by Pinkie Pie over to SuperFolder with nothing but a smile on her face. "OPEN MINE FIRST PLEASE!!!" Pinkie hesitantly said to the Jedi while bouncing like a toy tiger from a children's book. Twilight Sparkle got to Fluttershy's cottage from a long walk. She could have just used her wings, but she decided to take the change and exercise a bit by hiking there. Once she got to the small home, Twilight searched the house for Ghostbuster's stuff. Fluttershy told her that she placed them near the bedroom, so that's where she looked. As she found it, she saw some strange items in there. Twilight examined Ghostbuster's equipment and saw a strange device glowing green in some areas, a smooth metal helmet slightly damaged in the left eye region, and a gunmetal gray cylinder with odd detailing on it. Twilight thought she read something about this some time ago and went to her library to find out what it was that caused her mind to wander off from her task. In her studies, she learned of a powerful date that took place 15 years ago, and is known only to Princess Celestia and anyone she allows to know. On that day, Princess Celestia tried to colonize another universe through a certain galaxy. The galaxy in question was in a civil war known as the "Clone Wars". Celestia tried to wage war on this entire galaxy and bring it to her rule, destroying fear and hate with her might. She was defeated, however, by a boy weilding a sword of blue magic leading an army of white-armored soldiers. The boy, to Twilight's discovery, was SuperFolder Ghostbuster. Twilight could not believe what she was reading. He had to be brought to justice for his crimes. Meanwhile, back at the party, Ghostbuster was pleased with his gifts and thanked each pony who gave them to him. As he assumed Twilight had returned with his items, Ghostbuster turned around and packed his gifts. "I thank you all for the pleasant stay. Better than I expected to be honest. I bid you ponies adeu." Ghostbuster said as he opened the door to find Twilight with a satchel with his things inside it. Twilight also had a small band of royal guards behind her, and a face filled with rage. Twilight and the guards blocked the exits to prevent Ghostbuster from escaping, and Twilight used this as an opportune time to expose him. "Mares and Colts of Ponyville! This young stallion is not what you think he is!" Twilight announced. Fluttershy was confused. She wondered why there would be royal guards everywhere. She hadn't seen this many since she accidentally stole Celestia's pet phoenix. Ghostbuster stared back at Twilights aggressive stance. He could tell she already found out. "This stallion is the Jedi Fiend known as SuperFolder Ghostbuster!!!" Twilight bellowed out into the crowd. Every one of the ponies whispered and murmured in confusion. "Twilight, you're the bookworm, not us! How do you know any of this? What even is a Jedi?" Pinkie Pie asked, voicing everyone else in the crowd. Ghostbuster tried to answer the mare's answer, but was hit in the head and knocked on the ground with the back of a royal guard's spear. "Quiet you! Let the princess give her answer!" The guard ordered to the Jedi as more guards came to cuff him by the hoofs. "Thank you sirs." Twilight said, giving a cheery smile and nod to the guard, approving his action of silencing the Jedi. "Anyway, a Jedi is a dangerous being. They've been known to use magic without a unicorn horn, use swords of colored fire, and manipulate unsuspecting victims into becoming tools." Twilight continued with her explanation. Her words shook some concerns in most of the ponies, mostly Fluttershy. Fluttershy walked up to Ghostbuster, chained up and ready to be taken aboard a prison cart. Her heart heavy with lies. He had no reason to lie to her at all, did he? Fluttershy gathered her thoughts and feelings and confronted the orange pony. "Is it true?" Fluttershy asked him. SuperFolder knew he couldn't keep his secret a well hidden one anytime soon. "I confess that I have deceived you about my identity" Ghostbuster told Fluttershy, finally letting himself be honest "But I promise I'm not the only one deceiving you." Ghostbuster continued, glaring at Twilight. Fluttershy glared back at Twilight, and then back at Ghostbuster with a silver tear in her eye. "I'm sorry." Ghostbuster said, letting his head down. Then, suddenly, he felt something he never thought he'd feel from anyone after confessing to a crime. Fluttershy, who Ghostbuster had lied to, was hugging him. She didn't care if he was a Jedi or not, Ghostbuster will still be a good friend to him in the future. The guards then hauled Ghostbuster onto the cart, putting an end to Fluttershy's moment with him. As the cart was headed to Canterlot for a trial, Ghostbuster, who only had a back cart window for a source of light, shed out a single tear and let it land on the cold metal chains and the wooden floors of the cart. > Spark of War: Part 4 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The prison cart landed outside of the Canterlot Palace of Princess Celestia. The guards escorted the Jedi Prisoner up the steps of the castle. Ghostbuster stared at the huge building and felt uncomfortable knowing that he was taken prisoner by the princess he defeated all those years ago. In retrospect, he wasn't even expecting all of this in general. The doors opened, slowly, followed by the guards continuing the escort of Ghostbuster to Celestia. The Princess stared at her prize and glared with smug pride. "Greetings, Master Jedi. I wasn't expecting you until Princess Twilight told me about your return. I look forward to your punishment, as if your curse wasn't enough." Princess Celestia said to Ghostbuster. The anger swelled within Ghostbuster, but he tried his best to control his feelings. Ghostbuster considered what kind of punishment he would be given, such as banishment, torture, anything. Then, a familiar voice, that of Princess Twilight Sparkle, came in from behind and informed Celestia of some news. "Princess Celestia, I have studied his home universe a bit more and found the best punishment for this criminal." Twilight told her old mentor. "I demand to know how you know, your worshipfulness." Ghostbuster protested and mocked. His rage swelled to much for him to control, and attempted to take a charge at the purple alicorn, still in chains, but was easily stopped by the guards with a hit to the gut. He could barely breath after such a move, and just laid there. "Very well, Princess Twilight." Princess Celestia said to her fellow princess. Ghostbuster was slowly recovering from the hit, but was forced up by the Royal Guards so he may hear his fate. "SuperFolder Ghostbuster, for your crimes against me and Equestria, you are to be Frozen in Carbonite. You will then be used as a trophy to serve as a reminder to your allies that they're next!" Princess Celestia proclaimed, as the Royal Guards bowed, with Ghostbuster refusing to bow along. "Guards, take him away!" The princess ordered. The guards did so and escorted him to a cell to hold him until he is ready to be frozen. Meanwhile, in Ponyville, Fluttershy was alone in her cabin on her bed, in despair over the lost of a potential friend. Just then, she heard a knock on her door. It was Derpy Hooves with Fluttershy's mail. Angel Bunny opened and got the mail for her, and looked at the mail she got. Angel couldn't believe his eyes. Fluttershy got a personal invitation to see Ghostbuster's untimely demise. Angel warned Fluttershy as if she had to do something about it, but he was wrong. "Sorry Angel, I know he was nice, but we really can't do anything about it." Fluttershy explained with tears in her eyes. Just then, a strangely colored and starving fox strolled in, the sadness in her eyes swelling and swelling. Fluttershy, still sad over her friend, got up and fed the poor thing. As the fox was eating, she spoke to Fluttershy. "Dear child. I couldn't help but notice that you came to help me, but let tears go when you said that you can't help your friend. Am I more important to you than your friend?" The fox asked. Fluttershy raised an eyebrow in concern. "I'm sorry, but how did you know my friend was in trouble?" Fluttershy asked the fox. It was clear the fox was trying to help her. But why? "I overheard you crying on my way here for some food." The fox explained, giving her bowl of food back to Fluttershy. "Now tell me. Why can't you help your friend?" The Fox asked once more. "Well, it's because he was under arrest, and if I try to help him, I might get in trouble." Fluttershy explained. The fox circled around Fluttershy and laid next to her to comfort the poor pegasus. "So your fear of Princess Celestia is what's holding you back?" The fox asked. Fluttershy was shocked to hear the fox hear this, but said nothing because she knew in her heart that the fox was right. Fluttershy simply nodded and waited for the fox to continue. "Well, call me crazy, but I believe that you can be just as powerful as your Jedi friend is. Maybe even more powerful." The fox continued "Have you noticed that Ghostbuster never left your side instead of simply leaving?" the fox asked. Fluttershy thought back upon her time with Ghostbuster, and the fox was actually right. Ghostbuster really was with Fluttershy long enough for him to meet all her friends. "Why do you think that is?" Fluttershy asked the fox. The fox grinned behind her back and simply answered. "Well, your Jedi friend believes you have the Force, which is also what he used to defeat Princess Celestia all those years ago. All Jedi have this power Fluttershy, but not all who use the Force are Jedi." The fox explained. Fluttershy thought this through carefully. If she had the Force, like the fox says and Ghostbuster believes, then she might save Ghostbuster from certain doom. Fluttershy felt hope once more. "Thank you Ms. Fox. Now I know what to do." Fluttershy said as she took her invitation and raced to Ghostbuster's fate. "Go now, and save your friend, my future apprentice." The fox said out of earshot and started laughing as she disappeared in a flash of darkness. The Carbon Freezing Chamber was finished being built as thousands of ponies were invited to watch Ghostbuster's fate. Princess Celestia got up from her seat to prepare her speech for everypony to hear. As she passed all the technicians fixing up the chamber, Ghostbuster was escorted to the top of the machine where he would be frozen. "Took you guys shorter than expected to be honest." Ghostbuster said, as he was gagged by the guards. "Save your final words for the crowd, scum!" The guard yelled as he was dragged, pushed, and escorted to the top of the device. Ghostbuster, the guards, and Princess Celestia were covered in small lights and giant cameras recording this everywhere in Equestria for those who couldn't make it. "My little ponies!" Princess Celestia's voice boomed into the audience "We have reached another great day. A great day where another enemy of Equestria be brought before us to serve as an example to his dreaded human allies that we are stronger than their strongest warriors! Once SuperFolder Ghostbuster, Jedi Knight of the Human Race, is executed, his human allies will be next! No one will dare challenge us anymore!" Princess Celestia said to the crowd, who cheered and applauded at their great leader. They were all tired of being enslaved, taken prisoner, manipulated, and the like, and now they have a chance to see Equestria's enemy suffer the fate instead. "Now, Jedi. Do you have any last words before you're terminated?" Princess Celestia asked her prisoner as she levitated her microphone over to him. Ghostbuster had his gag removed so he may speak. He thought his words through carefully. "Equestria. I know you don't know us humans very well, but I can tell by your anger what you were told about us. That we lie, cheat, lust, let our rage best us, all those things. But if you want me dead, then you're no better than us. Heck, you might even be human! Just you know, if you take me down, you are going up against a force you can't possibly imagine!" SuperFolder announced into the microphone. The crowd heard Ghostbuster's words carefully, but some were slightly pushed out of the way by Fluttershy, who believed she could save Ghostbuster. She just didn't know how. Fluttershy could barley see Ghostbuster from all the way in the crowd, but she felt as if she knew where she was going. Was this the Force that fox was talking about? Whatever it was, she let it guide her to SuperFolder. "Begin the freezing process." Princess Celestia ordered her guards and technicians as they were pressing buttons and pulling levers. The platform lowered as Ghostbuster stood up in his position as if he was still in his human body. Then, he was hit in the face and all over his body with gray-white gasses that soon covered his body with metal. He felt his body stiffen, and soon enough, it was complete. Ghostbuster was officially frozen in carbonite. "You two! Take Ghostbuster over to my trophy room. The rest of you, open a portal to the universe Ghostbuster last visited with his little device. We're going to War." Princess Celestia announced as she let out a laugh and passed Fluttershy, who had been trying to find her way to him for 30 minutes. By the way the princess passed her like that, Fluttershy knew she was too late. > Spark of War: Part 5 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "SuperFolder Ghostbuster, come in. Do you repeat, this is Darkdragon. Come in darn it!" Darkdragon yelled as he tried to contact Ghostbuster once more. His rage bested him as he slammed his wrist on the giant blue supercomputer that lay in front of him, almost destroying the keyboard in the process. Just then, a blue goop gushed and spilled through the ventilation system, and rebuilt itself in the form of a humanoid with big, white, triangular eyes. "You think Ghostbuster's been compromised?" The living goo asked Darkdragon "If so, I'll gladly go in after him." it proposed to him. Darkdragon calmed down and put his hand on the goo, which had solidified to feel like flesh and cloth rather than a fluid. "We can't go for a rescue mission after him because he has the remote, Symbiote. We can only hope for the best." Darkdragon replied to Symbiote. Just then, a big flying cow with a glowing green ring came flying in. "Guys, get XQ3D and Count Zora! We're under attack!" The cow announced. Darkdragon and Symbiote stared at the cow, then at each other. Did they really make enemies this quickly? Ghostbuster's only out on one of their first missions ever and now they're at war? "I'll deal with it Cow Lantern." Darkdragon assured his bovine friend as he grabbed an intercom from his giant computer. "Calling all Pretty Brainless Businessmen members! This is Darkdragon! Code Red! I repeat, Code Red! We are under attack! Take evasive positions and prepare for battle!" he said into the intercom, which rang out to all 6 of the available PBB members at the time. Just then, Darkdragon leaped onto a platform and descended into a chamber that got him suited up in a bat-like outfit. By the time he was finished, XQ3D and Count Zora were present with the other 3. XQ3D grabbed and old looking broom and flew off out of the cave where they currently resided, followed by Cow Lantern. Then Count Zora and Symbiote exited the cave on foot, and Darkdragon mounted on his bat-wing, and flew off into the sky. However, they were not prepared for what they were up against. Ponies had managed to steal the Businessmen's tech and start an invasion. "You think these guys have anything to do with Ghostbuster's disappearance?" XQ3D asked Darkdragon through their radios. "There's only one way to find out." Darkdragon responded, as he pressed a button in his plane, launching missiles at incoming wonder bolts. The missile knocked several of the invaders out of the sky, but there were still more attackers. "They're still coming!" Symbiote shouted as several pony soldiers poured out of the green portal. They weren't sure if they could successfully fight off the attack. Symbiote, out of instinct, jumped into the portal through tens on hundreds of ponies to search for Ghostbuster. "I'm not sure if my ring has enough juice guys!" Cow Lantern explained, as he created a glowing green fishnet, and temporarily stopped the horde. "Blast it Ghostbuster, where are you?" Darkdragon murmured to himself. They weren't a complete team without him. Meanwhile, across the portal, Fluttershy knew she was too late to stop Twilight and Princess Celestia from freezing SuperFolder Ghostbuster in carbonite, and decided it would be best to say her final goodbyes to him before she left him. She saw the guards take the big gray block out back into a storage room hidden behind a big purple curtain, and followed them closely so she doesn't get spotted. Once the guards left, she finally floated over to the Jedi and decided to say to him what was on her mind. "Ghostbuster, I don't believe you can hear me, but I just wanted to let you know I'm sorry." Fluttershy said to him, as a small blue and white tear fell down her face. "If you told me the truth earlier, I would have been more than happy to keep it a secret, but now..." Fluttershy continued before tearing up. She let out a few quiet sobs. Her sadness and guilt of failing Ghostbuster as a friend was matched only by her rage against Celestia. "I'm sorry. For all of this. I don't expect you to forgive me, but I think this will make up for it." Fluttershy said, as she floated over and let a little kiss on Ghostbuster's frozen cheek. She left the storage room to return to her cottage, as she thought that would be it. However, a small yellow glow came from that kiss Ghostbuster was given. A miracle! He's Thawing! the yellow glow spread across the grey metal turning Red, revealing Ghostbuster's orange coat, and soon enough, he was free! Ghostbuster got back on his four hooves and tried to examine the environment around him to see where he was. If he could see now, that is. "Ghostbuster, come in!" Darkdragon said from across the portal and into Ghostbuster's watch. "Darkdragon! Thank goodness you're here." Ghostbuster said, as he stumbled across the dark room blindly looking for his helmet and lightsaber. "Where the heck have you been? We're in a middle of a fight! We need you!" XQ3D yelled, catching Ghostbuster off guard, causing him to fall over. "OK, guys, I was just taken prisoner, and now I'm breaking out. I just need to find my stuff and get out. Once I get my stuff, I need you to be my eyes." Ghostbuster suggested. "Why would you need that?" Darkdragon asked. It was an odd thing to suggest after all. "OK, basically I'm temporarily blind. Could someone lend a hand please?" Ghostbuster explained and asked. Suddenly, Ghostbuster stepped in a warm, yet cold liquid. The liquid climbed up all over Ghostbuster's body, forming a suit. "Say no more, old friend." Symbiote said, concealing Ghostbuster's identity. Just then, a couple of Royal Guards, marched in and attempted to arrest the two heroes. "Freeze! You're under arrest, by order of--" The guards attempted to say before being tied up by a spider web summoned by Symbiote. "How'd you get in here by any chance?" Ghostbuster asked, with his body being controlled by his little blue friend. Symbiote, with Ghostbuster's body, quickly grabbed Ghostbuster's lightsaber and Mandalorian helmet and made a run back to the portal. "Long story." Symbiote responded, as they climbed across the walls undetected, stole the portal technology back, and made it back through the portal before it closed off the invading ponies from the target. As the final waves of ponies were shocked to see the portal close, Symbiote and Ghostbuster lunged down into the ocean, but landed on the incoming Batwing. "Good to have you back, Master Jedi." Darkdragon said, with Cow Lantern, XQ3D, and Count Zora cheering along. The fight wasn't over yet, as pony attackers were still invading. "Any idea how to put these ponies back where they belong?" Ghostbuster asked Darkdragon. "Uh, yeah." Darkdragon said, as he shot down pony after pony with rubber bullets. "We need to round them up, and then throw them in a portal." The plan was heard by the team, as everyone got their game faces. "I learned that they're not that smart, so we could lay some traps." Ghostbuster suggested, while Symbiote controlled his arms to spew webbing at an incoming pegasus. "I volunteer to be bait" Count Zora said, followed by XQ3D and Darkdragon. "I'll spring the trap once they're all in one place" Cow Lantern volunteered as his ring glowed a fiery green. "And we'll return to sender." Symbiote said, swinging himself and Ghostbuster onto land, fighting off incoming ponies. "Any objections?" Ghostbuster asked, before the team went silent for 5 seconds. Ghostbuster sighed and continued "Good. May the Force be with us." Ghostbuster said, finishing the plan. Darkdragon landed his batwing back onto the ground and made his way to where XQ3D and Count Zora were. The three of them fought valiantly together, as XQ3D pointed a wand in the air, that shot a tremendous bolt of orange and violet energy into the sky, gathering the attention of all the attacking ponies. Like moths to a flame, all the ponies gathered to fight whoever cast the bolt of mysterious magic, and found the Count, the Wizard, and the Bat all gathered together, ready to fight. Then, when they weren't looking, they heard Cow Lantern's voice in the sky, as he injected his ring into a green battery, and chanted. "In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, beware my power, GREEN LANTERN'S LIGHT!" Cow Lantern shouted, as a bright green energy surrounded all the ponies and encased them all in a giant bubble of willpower. Another green energy, not one of Green Lantern, but of the portal technology in the hands of SuperFolder and Symbiote, opened up underneath the bubble, as it slowly descended into the portal. As the portal closed, the bubble was no more, and the Pretty Brainless Businessmen have won their first major victory. As the Businessmen were celebrating, Ghostbuster, with his eyesight returning shortly after the battle, had a moment to reflect on what he had just done. Not just to his team, but to the friends he could have made. "Hey, you OK?" Symbiote asked his Jedi friend. The rest of the team just stared at him, as they too shared the same concern. Ghostbuster just let out a sigh. "To be honest, I don't feel good. I do have lots of explaining to do, but for now, we may have one this fight, but our new war with Equestria is not over." Ghostbuster announced, as he saw his team prepping up for another battle. He thought he had brought fear to his friends, but instead, he saw hope. "If we're now at war, what's our next step?" Darkdragon asked, as they showed they will not let each other down, and that hope brought a small smile to Ghostbuster's face. Meanwhile, in a universe that is not Equestria or in PBB control, a girl with pink skin and clothing was sitting in a dark room dimly lit, but stood up. A pink pendant on her neck glowed as it summoned a dueling stick for the girl to hold. Just then, a group of smaller red girl with punching gloves charged at her, but the ping girl was ready, as she blocked every punch, and swung her dueling weapon across her arena, defeating her opponents once at a time. Once the red opponents have been defeated, the pink girl heard clapping coming from a giant blue woman. "Very good. Prepare the next exercise Star Ruby. We have lots of work to do." The blue woman spoke to Star Ruby, as her weapon disappeared. "Very well, my diamond." Star Ruby said, as she exited the dark room.
