Can Octavia and Vinyl find a place to rehearse that isn't swarmed by fans?

Octavia Melody and Vinyl "DJ-PON3" Scratch have lots of great songs to play. However, it's really hard to play those songs when your fans are getting in the way of everything. That's why Vinyl and Octavia must find a place to rehearse that isn't full of autograph-seeking fans.

Vinyl and Octavia were just getting off a private jet at the airport. The two stars didn't realize it at first, but they had a tremendous crowd waiting for them! The two ponies were startled to see at least hundreds of their fans storming towards them. They ran back into their private jet and ordered the pilot to get them the heck out of there. And that's what they did.

"Whew! That was a close one..." said Octavia, relieved.

"Well, we've got to rehearse somewhere." said Vinyl. The two ponies began to think, and then decided they'd just rehearse right in the plane.

"Let's start with this particular number, shall we?" said Octavia. Suddenly, their conversation was interrupted by the sounds of screaming fans. They spun around to see that some of their fans managed to sneak on board their jet dressed as flight attendants. Vinyl and Octavia quickly grabbed parachutes and jumped out of the plane.

As the two parachuted downward, Octavia sighed. "I knew that security system on the plane wouldn't work." she said.

Vinyl turned. "What security system? I didn't know we had one." she said.

Octavia looked at Vinyl. "That's because we DON'T have a security system." she replied. "A security system can't work if there isn't one."

Landing somewhere in the Everfree Forest, Octavia had a look around. "I was hoping we'd have reached Penny Lane," she said. The place seemed empty. Octavia smiled. "I think it's safe for us to rehearse here. I doubt any of our fans would come this far away from civilization," she said. But then, by some stroke of bad luck, she was proven wrong. A pair of alligators appeared out of nowhere, or should I say, a pair of poorly disguised fans dressed as alligators.

"An accurate disguise. That's what I sometimes picture our fans as." said Vinyl as she giggled to herself.

"Run for your life!" yelled Octavia. The two ponies ran deeper into the forest in hopes to find a quiet, fan-free area to practice.

"You know," said Octavia, "I never knew you saw our fans, the ponies who made us so successful, as alligators." At that, Vinyl's eyes suddenly widened.

"What the heck do you mean, Octavia??" said Vinyl, surprised. "I wouldn't think of our fans as gators! I see them more like giant hornets or tax collectors."

Octavia was confused at that joke. "Why would you see them as tax collectors when they're essentially the opposite?" asked Octavia. "Tax collectors take money away when our fans earn us more money."

Vinyl laughed at Octavia's statement. "Maybe because tax collectors are seen by the public as villains, and I see our fans as villains! Please don't be mad at me, Lauren Faust." replied Vinyl.

They walked through the forest, occasionally running into a hard-pressed autograph seeker who refused to give up on meeting their favorite band. Whenever this happened, Octavia and Vinyl had to run until they were out of breath, and if they lost the fan, they'd keep walking until they felt safe.

"You know, it's kind of spooky walking through the woods like this alone. I want to hold your hand." said Vinyl.

"I don't have any hands. Only hooves." said Octavia in response. Vinyl sighed.

"Come on! It's been a hard day's night and I've been working like a dog!" she said. After hours of no success, Vinyl began to get bored. Well, not that Octavia WASN'T bored or anything, but hey, I had to say something.

"So far, all I've learned is that the chances of us finding a safe place to practice our music is about 999999999999999 to 1." said Vinyl in disappointment. "I'm a loser."

Octavia laughed at Vinyl's statement. "You know that couldn't possibly be true." said Octavia. "You're exaggerating."

Vinyl looked at Octavia. "You're right." she said. "The chances are about 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 to 1."

Octavia laughed again. "This time I think you might be correct!" she said.

They finally found a quiet clearing in the forest. Octavia got out her guitar, and Vinyl got out hers. But suddenly, Vinyl shushed Octavia. She pointed out a couple of alligators behind a bush whom she knew were just more fans.

"Be quiet, 'Tavi." said Vinyl. "They'll have a ticket to ride when I'm finished with them."

Octavia giggled to herself. "But I don't care." she said to herself.

Vinyl sneaked behind the bush and began to pounce on them! She whacked them over the head with her guitar and stood on their heads to finish them off. Vinyl stood atop the gators' heads and remarked, "You fans tried this trick one time and it didn't work, so what the heck makes you think you can do it again? Ready when you are, 'Tavi!"

And so they began to sing some songs. They played both original music and cover songs, which I cannot say the names of due to copyright reasons (Yes, I just broke the fourth wall again). Once they finished, they felt much happier and more upbeat than before.

Octavia looked up from her guitar. "Well, I think that number went as well as it could have, hm?" she said.

Vinyl nodded her head. Then she looked down at the two fans whom she was still standing on.

"All right, you two. You can come out of those costumes now." she said.

What Vinyl didn't expect, however, was hearing the sound of somepony saying, "What costumes?" from behind a bush.

Octavia and Vinyl spun around to see some of their fans hiding behind some bushes. Then, they looked down at the alligators. They, well, how do I put this......they were real. Vinyl jumped into Octavia's arms like Scooby-Doo! "Help!" she cried!

But instead of being clobbered by the gators, the gators actually cheered them on! Octavia and Vinyl were silent in surprise for a second, but when they spoke, Octavia said, "Well, I guess alligators ARE a lot like ponies, aren't they?"

Vinyl nodded in agreement. "No telling where this ends." said Vinyl.

Octavia laughed. "I'd say it ends right about here!" she said.

Vinyl jumped in surprise. "You see them too?" she asked.

"Yep!" said Octavia. "I just broke the fourth wall."
