They are all owned by Hasbro. This work was inspired and contains (a slightly altered) "Girl Scout Promise". It is owned by Girl Scouts of America. BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! 'Today's the day!' Aurora happily thought to herself as she leaned over and turned the alarm off before using her magic to place her pink glasses over her purple irises and bounding out of bed. She went over to her dresser mirror and levitated her pink hair brush through her tangled strands of pink, purple and blue. She tied a blue ribbon into her tri-colored mane and slipped a navy blue baseball cap on top of the multicolored strands. She slipped her wooden camp name tag over her head, it's fuzzy green sting clinging to her white coated neck. Aurora took another quick glance at her reflection, making sure she was ready for the day ahead of her. Everything was good down to the sparkle of her northern lights based cutie mark. "Perfect." She said under her breath before galloping down to the main floor. "AURORA BOREALIS! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU NOT TO RUN DOWN THE STAIRS!" sounded an exasperated purple unicorn, "You could trip and get hurt. I don't want my little peanut getting hurt right before she goes to camp, now do I?" "Sorry, Mom, I'm just so excited for camp! And nervous. What if the fillies run off when I'm not looking? What if I'm not ready for the responsibility of Cadette Program Aide!?!" rambled a now very frantic teenage unicorn. "If you weren't ready, then they would have made you go through training again. Don't worry, you'll do great!" her caramel colored father encouraged, looking up from his newspaper. "Come on, Aurora! It's time to go! The camp bus is here!" her mother called from the doorway. "Coming!" the young unicorn cried as she grabbed her green satchel and brown bag lunch. She then bolted past her mom and through the door. Once aboard the yellow school bus that was being used by the camp while school was out for summer, Aurora looked for a place to sit. She finally found a place in the last row by a little blue pegasus filly with a sparkly gold and silver mane. No mark bore her flank. "Can I sit here?" the CPA asked. "Sure" the filly replied enthusiastically. "What's your name?" the filly asked as she scooted a little closer to the window. "I'm Aurora." the white unicorn replied as she seated herself next to said filly, "What's yours?" She said a single word and with that started the greatest adventure of their lives, "Star" "We ask that you take off all hats and bandannas as we say the Filly Scout Law and the Filly Scout Promise." the camp director, Rainbow Dash, said in a monotone, uniform voice before raising her right hoof with the assembly. "On my honor, I will try: To serve Celestia and my country, To help ponies at all times, And to live by the Filly Scout Law." all the fillies recited before lowering their right hooves and continuing, "I will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make Equestria a better place, and be a sister to every Filly Scout. 'Make Equestria a better place, and be a sister to every Filly Scout.' Those words meant magnitudes to Aurora as she really did view all Filly Scouts as sisters and she wanted to leave leave a positive mark on the world. She put these words to heart and incorporated it into every decision she made. Now, she wasn't going to be able to change Equestria any time soon but it was a good start by picking up trash off the streets and standing up to bullies. "Good morning, campers!" Rainbow welcomed the campers. "Good morning, Rainbow." the campers replied half heartedly. "I'm sorry can you repeat that!" she asked as she tried to rally up the girls. "GOOD MORNING, RAINBOW!" the campers shouted. "Ah, that's better! Welcome to camp, girls! We have lots of fun planned out for you this week, so get to it!" Rainbow ordered the girls. And with that, camp had officially begun. Aurora walked down the dirt path, trailing her unit in case somepony started lagging a little. In the front were her three superiors; Ultra-Violet Rays the light violet unicorn, Victory March the green earth pony and Bat Wings the bat-winged pegasus (duh!). The group of about twenty five ponies were headed to their campsite to put their stuff down before going to games. As it turned out, Star was in her unit as well a few other fillies Aurora recognized the bus ride over. ABOUT FIVE AND A HALF HOURS LATER The camp day was nearly to a close as three o'clock drew closer and closer. Aurora was escorting two of her fillies, one of which was Star, back from the bathroom. "Aurora, it's this way!" Star called out as she started walking in the wrong direction. "No, Star, I'm sure this is the right way. Please come back here!" Aurora called as she watched Star go off. "NO! I'M GOING THIS WAY!" Star said picking a fight with her superior. "STAR! WAIT! I NEED YOU TO STAY WITH US!" Aurora called as she tried to think of a good compromise, "We'll follow you but if we can't find the campsite you're going to go the way I take you, ok?" "Fine." Star grumbled, it seemed that older ponies always thought they were right and she was wrong. As it turned out, Aurora was right. This only added fuel to the flames for Star, who was sure everypony just wanted to tear her down. She had already proven herself to be very irritable and aggressive, so most were trying not to cross her. This worried Aurora for this definitely wasn't the cheery filly who had shared her seat with Aurora in the morning. This Star was very bossy and single minded. Something was wrong, she know it. She didn't know what though. She would have to talk to Star about this. Tomorrow. For now it was time to board the bus back home.
