Moonlit Sky
A little snow white bunny hopped past a little cottage. The cottage was surrounded by bushes and overgrown creepers. There was multiple animals that lived there, some in burrows, some in nests. His whiskers twiched. The sun was setting, he had to hop back to his home in the Everfree Forest. Just as he set off, a young yellow pegasus, which was holding a carrot, spotted him. The Autumn breeze hit his whiskers as he hopped as fast as he could. The pegasus was chasing him!
“Please don’t go little bunny! Please come back, I can make you a a carrot salad. The Everfree Forrest is dangerous!” she shouted. It just made him hop faster and faster. Although the pegasus could fly she was weaker than most other pegasi. He hopped into the Everfree Forest, but that didn’t stop the determined pegasus to catch him. The surrounding was different now. There was all sorts of strange plants, the fog was thick here and although the sun hadn’t set yet, it was almost full of starlight. The colder breez blew in and there was all sorts of low growls. The pegasus gulped. Then zoomed after the bunny, clenching onto the carrot in her hoof.
She now saw some kind of green fog a pool of green slime was in front of her the bunny hoped over it, so she did to. Then the tree’s started to move. She just ignored them. Although the smell here was rather strange and sometimes see though she saw faces she just moved on. The smell soon disappeared along with the faces and moving trees.
The bunny hopped over some blue flowers, which the pegasus flew over. Then everything went darker, the sun had set and the sky was twinkling. The pegasus looked up at the moonlit sky, it was beautiful. She saw fireflies gathering around and chasing her and the bunny, making the sky even more illuminated. Then she saw the bunny jump over a pond into little burrow. There was a clearing where the little bunny made his home.
The fireflies glowed in the dark sky, along with the stars. It was a full moon and the yellow pony thought it was beautiful. The fireflies put on firework displays and even touched her nuzzle.
“Hey there little bunny, want this carrot?” The yellow pegasus asked.
Then bunny came out,”You speak rabbit?”
“Yes little bunny, it is my special talent. Do you want the carrot?”
“Yes!” Shouted the bunny as he hopped up and down.
“Exuse me young bunny, where are your manners?” the pegasus scolded.
The bunny stopped jumping,”Please... um..?”
The pegasus said,”Fluttershy.”
“Please Fluttershy?” said the bunny.
The pegasus gave him the carrot,”Here you go little guy, do you have a name?”
“Thank you for the carrot, Fluttershy. I don’t.” said the bunny.
“Aww, poor thing. You are a little angel.... That’s it! Angel! What do you think of that name?” she asked.
“I like it,” said the bunny.
“Aww! You are just soo adorable!” said Fluttershy as she hugged him.
“Ow! That hurts!”
“Oh, sorry Angel,” said apologised then picked some berries from the bush,”Want some?”
“Yes please!” Then gobbled down the berries with Fluttershy.
“Angel, would you like to come and live with me in my cottage?” She asked.
“That would be nice. You know what, I like you. I think you are cute,” blushed the bunny.
“Aww, thanks Angel.”
“Hey! Follow me!”
“Ok,” Fluttershy replied.
Angel lead her to this glistening lake. The fireflies followed the, like spirits. They saw their reflections in the water. The stars and fireflies reflected in the water too. It was just beautiful. Definitely love at first moonlight. They were so lost in thought they didn’t notice that the trees were moving, the green fog had reapeared, that the horrible smell came back and that the fireflies disappeared....
“Raaughewwddd!!” growled some Timberwolves.
“AAAAAAaaaaaAAAAhhhhHhHHhHhHhHh!” they SCREAMED!
A Timberwolves chased them.”HOP ONE ANGEL!” SHOUTED FLUTTERSHY. Then they ran. Fluttershy tried to take off, but she hit her wing to hard on a branch and could not take off. The Autumn breeze was cold and moist now. Well, it most probably was the Timberwolves breath, but still them Timberwolves chased them all the way to the old Castle. Then Fluttershy flung Angel onto a ledge.
“Stay there. I will fend them off!”
“But they’re dangerous! Fluttershy, DON’T!”
“I got this, don’t moooov....”
Angel jumped off the ledge to save Fluttershy from a Timberwolf coming from behind.
“Move...”
The only problem was that now the Timberwolves were attacking him. When she saw a cut on Angel and saw he was bleeding...
“STOP!” she shouted.
She gave them the stare.
They wimpered.
She stilled stared.
They whined.
She stared.
They droped Angel.
She stared even longer.
They ran away.
“HOW did you do that?” he asked.
“The stared? Simple, part of my special talent. I need to keep the animals under control. And how do I do it? Simple! The STARE.... “ she said that last word in a way to make it sound like ‘Be Amazed!’
The laughed together.
“Come on. It is midnight, we should head back,” she said.
“Yeah, and I need a bandage.”
“Yesss,” she said.
“Here we are, say goodbye to your old home.”
“Bye burrow old friend,” said Angel,”I will miss you. Wait! Fluttershy may I get some things I want to take with me when I move into your house?”
“You know what. Sleep here tonight. I will come back in the morning with a bag and First Aid Kit,” she said.
“Ok Fluttershy,” said Angel,”Should we keep our love a secret?”
She nodded,”I will be laughing stock of Ponyville for having a bunny as ‘Very Special Somepony’! We don’t want that!”
“Aahhh, I better get ready to fetch Angel.” said Fluttershy to herself. She stretched her legs and got out of bed. She crawled under her bed and grabbed a bag. She got a few carrots in from her bedside carrot bowl put that in the bag. She got out and appple for breakfast and a cider too, then she left.
She walked past the stream leading to the Everfree and kicked her hoof. It splashed the water around. She was never this assertive besides when she was alone or with animals. Or when Rainbow was around but she almost is finished with Extreme Training Flight School for Experienced Flyers. But everypony called it the SEF or School for Experienced Flyers.
Fluttershy looked up, her home town was above her.
She tried to spot Dash, but she was out of sight. She did however see her younger brother and her mom and dad watching something, she thought it was just another of those silly Try Not To Laugh Tournaments her brother loved. She tried to fly up to get a better view but her wing still hurt. She continued towards the Everfree.
She felt the cool Autumn breeze hit her mane as she entered the Everfree. Unlike most forests it was green all year round. The lush green forest was beautiful at times, but full of dangers. Last night was the Timberwolves was a great example. But at least now she knows to look out for the ‘Green Fog’. As her hof hit the ground, she ran.
Her speed was incredible. Her wings may be weak but her legs. They took her far. “Maybe I should ebter the Running of the Leaves this year?” she asked her self. It was in a weeks time. She thought she could do it with Applejack, the pony who lives on the farm. Then she saw the green slime. She jumped and ran faster than before. This was heavy Timberwolf territory.
She jumped over the patch of blue flowers then padded on to the pond.
“Angel?”
“Fluttershy!” said the bunny as he hopped out of burrow.
“Angel, I bought some carrots! Oh here is the First Aid Kit,” she said and revealed the First Aid Kit compartment in here bag. Angel gave her his paw. Fluttershy put the bandage around his paw. Angel grabbed his stuff and Fluttershy packed it in her bag.
“Come on, lets go home,” said Fluttershy.
