it been nine year since the three main Princesses disapped from equestria

It’s been nine years since the three main princesses Celestia, Luna and Cadence disappeared from Equestria. This caused chaos in two of the Kingdoms in Equestria: The Crystal Empire and Equestria itself. In the Crystal Empire, Prince Shining Armor tried his best to raise his only daughters, Princess Flurry Heart, like his wife, Princess Cadence would have wanted. (But trying to apply the rules of a unicorn, to that of a created alicorn, ends with a mild success.) Meanwhile back in Equestria, hope for a better future for pony kind met with more success as Princess Celestia’s three royal foals stepped up and seized control of their Mother’s and Aunt’s Crowns of Equestria.

Amidst the ongoing war with the Crystal Empire, which is known as the Crystal War, a strange energy fluctuation started to materialize within the Canterlot Grand Royal Palace that no Field Scientist could explain. Fluctuations were isolated to the private royal living area of the Palace which is the home of the current ruling royal family. With the Grand Princess of the Sun, Aurora Silverlight, and her siblings busy with the Crystal War, the job of investigating these strange fluctuation fell to Princess Alysia Ara Silverlight the oldest daughter of the Grand Prince of the Moon Somnus Silverlight. As Princess Alysia was about to pinpoint the strange anomalous energy it stopped and no other reading was received. She closed investigation into the strange energy and filed it as an unknown Solar Guard case file.

Two years to the day that Princess Alysia closed the case into the strange energy readings, it reappeared in the Grand Royal Palace once again. But this time, the strange anomalous energy was emanating from two unoccupied and sealed bed chambers located in the older part of the private royal living area of the palace. The first bed chamber that emanated the anomalous energy belonged to Princess Alysia’s Grandmother, Princess Celestia Silverlight and mother to the royal foals. The second bed chamber belongs to Princess Alysia’s Great Aunt, Princess Luna Silverlight and aunt to the royal foals. They are two of the three princesses that disappeared nine years ago.

Slowly, the eyes of these missing Princesses opened up and awakened in a very different world from the old world they remembered. From a world of high-tech machines and messages that would take several months to arrive, now only takes a moment. From a world where two-legged ponies drove crystal powered automobiles across Equestria and worked for several huge corporations that held within their coffer an amount of bits equal to the Royal Treasury of Equestria. In this world the three main princesses are legends of Equestria’s past who ruled till they disappeared. One of the most beloved legendary Princesses was Princess Celestia Silverlight who gave birth to the current ruling royal family, her beloved Royal foals.

It’s been nine years since Princess Celestia and Princess Luna disappeared from Equestria, leaving Celestia’s royal foals to rule the Land of Equestria. Now two years to the day that Princess Alysia the granddaughter of Celestia closed the case of a strange energy reading in the Grand Royal Palace, it happened again. Floating above the beds in two unoccupied and sealed bed chambers was a 6 foot long spectrum colored oblong energy bubble. Soon there’s a loud pop from the bubble and two bodies dropped onto the mattress in each room.

The first body is a goddess gorgeous white with hint of pink 6ft 5in anthro looking alicorn mare with a messy golden blond mane and tail. Her perfect figure was attired in a lemon lime colored nightgown with a slit that started from below her prefect hips running down her thigh revealing the orange stylized sun on her leg and ended just above the ankles of her fairly large white with hint of pink bare feet.

The second body is a heavenly looking dark blue 6ft 3in anthro looking alicorn mare with a messy charcoal black mane and tail. Her elegant figure was attired in a vanilla colored nightgown with a slit that started from below her hips and runs down her thigh revealing a white crescent moon on a dark background, and ending just above the ankles of her dark blue big bare feet.

Slowly the two Alicorns’ open their eyes and let out a real good yawn, which is followed by a wonderful stretch to loosen up their stiff muscles. The two Alicorns both thought this was the best rest they had in centuries. As they roll out of bed, they padded barefooted over to their private bathroom to get ready for the day.

Soon billows of steam come from the bathroom as the two mares take a warm morning shower. A white with hint of pink five fingered hand with thick hoof-like fingernails grab onto the door frame of the bathroom. From the door, exits a goddess gorgeous white with hint of pink Alicorn mare. She had a large white body towel wrapped securely around her perfect figure, leaving her shoulders bare.

“Sweet me! What happened to my body?” Celestia exclaims looking at her new form of a two-legged pony in a full-length standing mirror in her bed chamber.

Soon a very loud shriek echoes throughout the palace hallways as a heavenly looking dark blue Alicorn mare bursts into Celestia’s bed chamber. Like her, she had a large white body towel wrapped semi-secured around her elegant figure, leaving her shoulder bare.

“Sister! You too?” Luna inquired puzzled as she looked at her sister’s new form standing in front of her.

“What is going on Tia? Why are we two-legged ponies and not four-legged ponies?” Luna exclaimed lifting her arms up allowing the semi-secure towel to drop to the floor, causing Celestia to blush.

“LUNA! Do you mind wrapping that towel once again around you, Please?” Celestia exclaims as Luna wrapped the towel more securely around her body as she scratched her head with her hand.

“Why, Tia?” Luna inquires

“For some reason being 'Au naturel' is wrong for us. But anyway, go back to your room and get dress and come back to my room, so we can both figure out what is going on around here.” Celestia explains as Luna turns and heads back to her room to get dressed.

A few minute later, Luna returns to Celestia’s bed chamber wearing a well-made ivory colored slightly below the knee length dress. On her bare feet were silver ankle-strapped wedged sandals along with her princess’s regalia.

She was carrying a stainless steel band that would fit on her forearm if she knew how to get it on there. Looking at the same stainless steel band was Celestia. She was wearing a well-made lime green colored slightly below the knee length dress. On her bare feet were gold raffia platform sandals along with her princess’s regalia.

“Tia, what is this thing?” Luna inquires as Celestia looks at the band in Luna’s hand.

“It looks like a piece of armor called a Vambrace, I have one too. It’s worn on the forearm, but this metal doesn’t look strong enough to protect the user from anything.” Celestia comments as she touches a glowing light on the vambrace with her hand. Celestia suddenly winces as a micro needle pokes her palm and gets a sample of her blood.

“New user detected. Running DNA sequence for new user. Affirmative, new user DNA program. Programming completed. New user holds Minicomputer Vambrace or MCV above one of your forearms to active system.” The computer voice in vambrace said as Celestia picks up the MCV and holds it above her forearm.

A moment later it locks itself on her forearm with all the systems working. After watching how her own sister activated the Minicomputer Vambrace, Luna follows the same sequence and before long the MCV was on her forearm.

As the two sisters have a discussion about their next move they are seen by two earth ponies anthros on the video surveillance system members of the Royal Palace security force. They are wearing steel blue colored light combat body armor and helmets armed with heavy pulse pistols and stun batons. They make their way to the older part of the royal living area to investigate the intruders.

As the security guards set foot in the older part of the palace hallway, the door to an unoccupied and sealed bed chamber opens. From the bed chamber door, steps Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Their eyes meet the eyes of the security guards.

The guards glaze with shock upon seeing these two mares exiting the room. When Luna steps back, her heel bumps a stone pedestal with a ceramic vase on it. In slow motion the vase falls and shatters into pieces. The panicked security guards open fire on the two mares, but all their shots miss their targets.

“Luna, run! Let’s get out of here! Something tells me we don’t want to get hit by what they are shooting at us!” Celestia screams as the two sisters run as fast as they can. The guards report over the radio to the rest of the Royal Palace security forces of the contact with the unknown intruders coming their way.

Both Celestia and Luna easily dodge the incoming energy weapon fire from the guards behind them as they run headlong down the hallways. Before long, they enter a large open area of the palace with even more security personnel armed with heavy pulse pistols and pulse shotguns behind makeshift barricades. They skid to a stop and turn on their heels, as these guards open fire.

Forcing them to run back the other way as these security guards try to pin them down with heavy weapon fire. Soon police sirens echo through the streets of Canterlot as the Canterlot Military Police Department patrol vehicles speed to the incident at the Palace followed closely by a CMP Hostage Rescue team vehicle with its full complements of personnel armed and ready to go.

Meanwhile back at the palace, the hearts of the two Princesses’ beat at a rapid pace as they are hold-up in a small side room with a window looking out covered with heavy curtains. As their hearts slowly return to their normal pace Luna presses her back against the wall so she can look through the crack in the door and watch what’s going on outside the room.

At the same time Celestia crawls her way over to the curtained window and opens it a tiny bit just enough to see that this escape route is cut-off to them. They see more ponies wearing dark blue combat body armor and helmet armed with pulse submachine guns taking cover behind their patrol cars.

“Luna, we can’t get out this way more ponies have arrived and cut off our escape route.” Celestia comments as she stretches her legs out and sits down on the floor with her back against the wall.

“Same here, we are trapped, sister these new ponies look like trained warriors.” Luna explains as she stretches her legs out and sits down on the floor next to her sister.

“Celestia, why did those ponies that look like palace guards attack us, surely they know we are the ruling princesses of Equestria and should have not attacked us.” Luna comments as she watches Celestia play with the device on her forearm trying to figure out how it works.

“I wish I knew?” Celestia answers

“Sister, why are you messing with that device on your forearm. it does nothing.” Luna sounding annoyed as Celestia continues to play with the Minicomputer vambrace.

“Luna, did you not notice that every pony here is wearing one of these devices on their forearm, so it must do something.” Celestia commented as she continues playing with the MCV.

“Celestia! I was too busy trying to stay alive by running to notice what every pony was wearing on their arm.” Luna vexed as Celestia keeps playing with the MCV.

Back in the palace foyer, a bewitching beautiful 5ft 5in dark gray bat pony mare with a black braided mane and tail leans against a column in the area. She is wearing a navy blue colored coverall and an armor vest around her waist with a utility belt and holster with a custom pulse pistol in it.

On her head, between her ears, was a dark blue beret with the letters CMP stenciled in white on it. This bat pony mare was CMP Negotiator Jord Goodspeak, she’s part of the CMP Crisis Negotiation Unit based in Canterlot attached to the Hostage Rescue team.

‘How long will this take? Come on just let me do my job and get every pony home alive.’ Jord thought since being called to the incident by the commander of the Hostage rescue team. She has been sitting idle waiting to be given the green light to begin the negotiation with the two mares hold-up in the nearby room of the palace.

***************************************

“Huh?” Jord exclaims as her vid-phone rings on her customized MCV for her job as a crisis negotiator. She fixes an ear piece into her ear before answering her vid-phone. Soon the face of a white unicorn mare appears on the screen.

“Hello, unicorn, my name is CMP negotiator Jord Goodspeak. I am here to get you out of this incident before any more ponies and you get hurt.” Jord explains sounding friendly as the mare on the screen relaxes after being told she was going to get her out of trouble that she got both her and her sister in.

“By the way Miss Goodspeak, I am an alicorn and not a unicorn.” The alicorn explains as Jord’s breathe catches in her throat.

“I see Alicorn, so who am I talking to? If I know who I am talking to it will go much easier for both of us.” Jord inquires friendly as she gestures in hand signs toward the commander of the Hostage rescue team informing him. She’s on the line with the mare in the room.

“I am surprised you don’t know who I am. I’ve been around for thousands of years.” The alicorn explain as Jord blinks with surprise. She gestures with hand signs that she believes the mare is an escaped psychiatric patient from one of Canterlot’s psychiatric hospitals.

“You don’t look that old, Miss Alicorn. But still who I am talking to?” Jord inquiry friendly as the Alicorn chuckles.

“My name is Princess Celestia Silverlight.” she says as Jord stands quickly up and looks like she’s about to fall over from the shock. She gestures telling the commander that she’s very sure that they are dealing with an escaped psychiatric patient and whatever they do, don’t order the assault on the room or it might get very messy.

With the current situation now fully realized the commander of the Hostage rescue team pulls back the CMP assault team fearing that the psychiatric patient might snap and turn this into a blood bath.

A few hours later a white sport hover car pulls up outside the Grand Royal Palace. From the driver side of the vehicle exits a 5ft 12in enchanting light pink, full grown, unicorn mare anthro with a light purple braided mane and tail. She was attired in a mint green short-sleeve faux wrap dress.

On her head, behind her horn, was a black tiara. Around her neck was a necklace with a half moon symbol on it. On her light pink bare feet were black heeled sandals. This Unicorn mare was Princess Wave Runner Silverlight the wife of the Grand Prince of the Moon Somnus Silverlight and the ruling monarch. He was away fighting in the Crystal War.

From the passenger side of the vehicle exits 5ft 10in very lovely looking, lavender colored, teenage unicorn mare anthro with a sky blue mane and tail. She was attired in a harvest gold colored short-sleeve fit and flare dress.

On her head behind her horn, was the sun Princess’s original gold tiara that belongs to her Grandmother Princess Celestia Silverlight. Around her neck was a necklace with the sun and half moon symbol on it.

On her lavender colored bare feet were black flat sandals. This teenage unicorn mare was Princess Alysia Ara Silverlight the oldest daughter of the Grand Prince of the Moon Somnus Silverlight.

The two royal family members were away for the evening attending a dinner party at the stable of her husband’s family the noble Silverlight unicorn family, when they were told of the breach at the Grand Royal Palace by two of the most likely escaped psychiatric patients. One of the patients claimed to be Princess Wave Runner’s mother-in-law and Princess Alysia’s grandmother Princess Celestia Silverlight.

“Good evening, your highnesses. You didn’t have to come to the scene, I would have sent a written report to the palace of the incident for you to read.” The commander of the Hostage Rescue team said politely as he bows to Princess Wave Runner and Princess Alysia as they approach the Hostage rescue team vehicle.

“Its fine commander. How many has it been since the last incident?” Princess Wave Runner said diplomatically but troubled as she checks the calendar on her MCV a few times.

“Since now, it averages about 5 incidents a month. I am sorry to say, your highness, you have done more to help your ponies. but still it happens a little too often for my teams liking.” The Commander comments as Princess Wave Runner’s face is a study of desolation.

“Commander, please don’t say something like that to my mother.” Princess Alysia annoyed as her mother walked off to clear her head and try to think clearer. A moment later, she return to side of her daughter.

“It’s ok, dear, no harm done, but the commander is right. These incidents are coming way to frequent this Crystal war has pushed a lot of our ponies to their wits end and a lot of them are looking back toward your Grandmother and your Great Aunt’s rule. Nothing of them are against your Father and his sisters rule, they just want some stable harmony in their life like it was under the rule of your Grandmother. When they disappeared, it left a hole in the heart of every pony in Equestria that could never be filled.” Princess Wave Runner comment running her finger down the edge of Alysia’s tiara, happy her daughter is wearing her Grandmother’s Original gold tiara with pride.

“You, wearing your Grandmother’s original gold tiara, shows many ponies that harmony will return to Equestria one day, It might not be in their lifetime. but hope is all they have to hold on to.” Princess Wave Runner said knowing as she embraces her daughter as the last best hope for harmony to return to Equestria.

As the princesses and the commander continue to talk to each other outside the palace, CMP Negotiator Jord Goodspeak continues the negotiations with Princess Celestia Silverlight and her sister to get them to surrender to the Canterlot Military Police Department. An hour later, Jord gives the all clear signal to the Hostage Rescue Team that the Alicorns will surrender.

A moment later, from the room, the two Alicorns exit. Both are handcuffed and lead to a waiting prison van to return them to one of the psychiatric hospitals in Canterlot. Princess Luna protests her innocence very loudly as they load her into the van. As a doleful looking but elegant Princess Celestia follows right behind her sister, her Pegasus wings hang limp on her back as they walk her towards the van.

‘Huh?’ Princess Alysia thought as she watches the white with hint of pink Alicorn mare being loaded into the back of the prison van when the light purple eyes of the incurably sad Alicorn meet with the glance of the sea green eyes of Alysia. Something deep within her heart told her that this mare was not pretending to be an Alicorn, she was a real Alicorn.

“What’s going on sister?” Luna inquires as Celestia sits across from her sister on a small steel bench in the back of the van.

“I don’t know, sister.” Celestia answers Luna very confused. As the doors on the back of the van have not closed behind them.

“Officer! What’s going on?” Celestia inquiries to CMP Peacekeeper holding the handles of the door waiting to be closed.

“The young Princess told the commander of the Hostage Rescue team that she wants the two Alicorns to remain here at the Palace, she believes you two are real Alicorns and not some modified pony.” The CMP Peacekeeper explains a bit confused as Luna and Celestia look at each other perplex with the idea of a modified pony.

“Officer? What is a modified pony?” Luna inquires as the CMP peacekeeper looks totally confused with what she asked him.

“A modified pony is ponies of any breed that undergo an operation to add something to their physical appearance. Of late many ponies have added a pair of wings or a unicorn horn. Some of them have added both to their physical appearance and the most disturbed to get modified to believe themselves Alicorns. More to the point, Princess Celestia Silverlight or Princess Luna Silverlight, the two legendary Princesses of Equestria.” The CMP Peacekeeper explains as he closes the rear doors on the van after being called to a quick meeting with the rest of the Canterlot Military police department personnel.

“Sister, why would any pony want to pretend to be us?” Luna inquiries

“I wish I knew sister, but this time that we woke-up in is very strange indeed. Let’s hope that the young Princess does believe we are real Alicorns.” Celestia explains as Luna noticed tears form in Celestia’s eyes as she’s wondering about her foals.

“Sister, you don’t want to know about this time from the young princess, you want straight answers about your foals.” Luna comments as Celestia shook her head and started to cry.

“If this is our Equestria what happened to my beloved foals?” Celestia inquires through her tears worried that her foals are dead or have been killed because she disappeared.

Later that same night, in the Command and Communications center located in the sub-basement of the Grand Royal Palace, Princess Alysia and her mother Princess Wave Runner speaks to a handsome but ageless alicorn stallion on the video communications. This alicorn stallion is Princess Alysia’s father, Grand Prince of the Moon, Somnus Silverlight.

“Wave Runner, do you agree with our daughter’s conclusion that the two Alicorn mares you are currently confining at the Palace, could in fact be my Mother and my Aunt. That disappeared nine years ago?” Somnus inquires as Wave Runner rubs her chin with her hand.

“You know me Somnus; I would never answer a question from you without knowing all the facts of the query. One of the biggest unknowns is that I have never met your mother or your aunt in my lifetime, not as a unicorn or in my sea pony siren form. So I’d rather not answer that query, dear. But I will say this, like you, I trust our daughter’s judgment.” Wave Runner answers as Alysia hugs her mother.

“Very well, your highness, I will authorize a royal investigation into the identity of the two Alicorn mares at the palace.” Somnus said diplomatically in a commanding voice as a smile forms on Alysia’s snout.

“Thank you father or thank you, your grand highness!” Alysia is overjoyed as she runs out of the command and communications center to begin putting together the royal investigation into the identity of the two Alicorns.

“Wave Runner, you know what this means, if it turns out to be my mother and my aunt that you have at the Palace for the current rule of the Royal Foals and this Crystal War we are deadlock in.” Somnus’ voice tightens as Wave Runner shakes her head forebodingly, switching off the video communication link to her husband at the Polar Star Outpost Base in the Crystal Empire and sits down on a chair behind her, resting her chin on her knuckles.

“It means a power struggle within Canterlot with supporters of the royal foals and supporters of their mother and their aunt fighting for control of the government and who should rule Equestria from that point on. Just one short power struggle is all that is needed to allow Princess Flurry Heart and her Crystal Empire to rebuild her depleted forces. If she does that, the exhausted combined forces will be destroyed and Princess Flurry Heart will crown herself the only true ruler of Equestria.” Princess Wave Runner comments.

It the afternoon of the following day, after a full morning of physical tests done on both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna to determine if they are real Alicorns, the two princesses are returned to their bed chambers to await the results.

A few minutes after noon, Princess Alysia and Princess Wave Runner walk down the hallway heading towards the Princesses’ bed chambers to talk to them about the results. On the screen of the MCV were the results of Princess Celestia’s tests which, at the moment, point to her being a pure Alicorn mare and Alysia’s grandmother. But Alysia doesn’t want to get her hopes up that she found her missing Grandmother yet.

‘After I get the sample of Miss Celestia’s blood and send it to the lab to be tested then I will tell her who I really am. (Her granddaughter and answer all the questions she most likely has for me.’) Alysia thought as she walked into Miss Celestia’s bed chamber. She is sitting on a cushioned chair looking outside, attired in a sky blue colored mid-knee length dress with a pair of gold colored flat sandals on her fairly large bare feet.

On a small wooden table next to her were the remains of her excellent lunch that Alysia had the palace cooks specially made for her and a small pot of the finest tea. Upon hearing the soft foot falls of Alysia’s on the rug behind her, Celestia sets down the ceramic cup she sips from.

“Hello Alysia, I must say that you treat your prisoners well. I enjoyed the lunch your cooks make for me and it was a great pot of tea. Best I had for a long time." Celestia commented a bit woeful as Alysia felt as if a cold fist closed around her heart and tears began to fall down her cheeks.

“Huh?” Celestia said remorseful with her comment. A guilt-ridden Celestia stood up and walked towards the distress teenage unicorn mare. She hugged the teenage unicorn mare to comfort her. For some reason, hugging this mare felt so right to Princess Celestia like this was the right thing to do.

“I am sorry, Alysia, I should have never told you that I felt like a prisoner. Matter of fact you have treated this Alicorn mare you barely know, so well.” Celestia said penitent as she sits back down on the chair and gestures Alysia’s to join her.

“But why Alysia?” Celestia said a bit puzzled as she takes a seat on a round tufted storage ottoman in front of her.

“You remember what I said to you Celestia?” Alysia said reminding passing her hand over her MCV to bring up the results of the morning tests on her.

“You said that you will not answer any of my questions till it confirms that I am the real Princess Celestia. I can only guess you got the results from this morning tests on that machine of yours. But you still need something else from me before you will answer my questions.” Celestia said knowing as Alysia shakes her head.

“I need a sample of your blood for DNA testing. When I get the results from that, I will be more than happy to answer your questions and I will finally tell you what my full name is.” Alysia said hopeful as a smile formed on Celestia’s snout.

Three hours later the results are sent to Princess Alysia’s MCV the results of the test confirms that this Alicorn mare is in fact Alysia’s missing Grandmother Princess Celestia Silverlight. A huge smile forms on Alysia’s snout as she opens a small padded briefcase she was carrying with her. Inside the case were two objects. The first one was Princess Celestia’s original gold tiara and a gold necklace with a sun and a half moon symbol on it.

Out on the balcony, with her back towards the bed chamber was Princess Celestia. She was getting fresh air and warming herself up from the sun. The gentle foot falls of Alysia behind her once again, gets her attention. As she turns around her face glazes with shock. Standing just inside the door was Alysia. She was wearing her original gold tiara. She hesitantly touched the two symbols on Alysia’s gold necklace with the tips of her fingers and slowly slid them off.

“That’s mine and my sister’s symbols you have on that necklace you’re wearing.” Celestia said hesitantly as she was trying to get her head around the reason why Alysia had there symbols on her necklace.

“Who are you?” Celestia inquired very timidly.

“My full name is Princess Alysia Ara Silverlight.” Alysia said as Celestia’s legs gave out under her and she sunk to the ground in shock with the name given.

“You are a Silverlight? A member of my royal family. Who is your father or mother?” Celestia inquired apprehensive as she remained sitting on the ground slowly getting over the shock.

“My father is Grand Prince of the Moon Somnus Silverlight.” Alysia answered as Celestia’s breath catches in her throat as tears begin to form in her light purple eyes.

“My son is your father. So that means that I am your Grandmother and you are my grandchild.” Celestia overjoyed as her pupils dilated and she wrapped her arms and wings around her new found grandchild.

“Welcome home Grandma.” Alysia said joyfully as they are joined by Alysia’s mother Princess Wave Runner Silverlight and Celestia’s sister Princess Luna Silverlight.

Later that same day, at the small secret lake in the palace garden, Princess Celestia, after removing her sandals sits on the edge of the lake with her fairly large pristine white bare feet submerged in the water. She talks to her granddaughter who divulges to her that she is a Sea Pony Siren and not just a normal unicorn.

At first, Alysia was frightened to tell her grandmother that she was a Sea Pony Siren, fearing that her grandmother will want nothing to do with her because she is so different from any other pony breed she knows. After being told, Celestia dipped her hand into the lake and splashes it a bit. The moment she felt Alysia grab her hand underwater, she used her earth pony strength to carefully pull her to the surface and kisses her on her cheek, before telling her she will not love her any different than any other breed.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the small lake, Princess Luna sits on a blanket with her sandals removed on the shore talking to Somnus’s wife and Alysia’s mother Princess Wave Runner Silverlight as she swims around in her Sea Pony Siren form.

“Wave Runner, you told me that Somnus is worried about me and his mother returning after all this time. It could start a power struggle in Canterlot between the supporters of me and his mother vs. supporters of the royal foals. Why?” Luna inquires as Wave Runner shoots straight out of the water into the air, before diving back into the water with a splash and swims to the edge of the lake.

“It has to do with this Crystal War we are deadlock in this war had been deadlocked for a good 5 years now. ” Princess Wave Runner begins to explain as the soft crunching of grass under the bare feet of the much taller Alicorn mare can be heard as Princess Celestia arrives carrying her sandals in her hand and joins Luna on the blanket.

“Hello, Celestia. I thought you were talking with Alysia?” Princess Wave Runner comments as she pulls herself out of the water and the two sisters watch in amazement as Wave Runner’s fish tail transform back into legs with light pink bare feet.

“Wow ! I was talking to my granddaughter when her vid-phone on her MCV rang. She answered it and asks me to join you and Luna on the blanket because some pony is coming to visit. She was going to meet her at the front door of the palace and then bring her to the lake to see us (gesturing her hand toward her and Luna)” Celestia explains as Wave Runner grabs her MCV and finds the message that Alysia sent to her.

“Oh? Wave Runner you were going to tell me about this Crystal War you are deadlocked in?” Luna inquires as Wave Runner sets her MCV down on the ground again.

“That, I was. But I think the pony who’s coming to visits you too, could tell you better than me. Because she’s part of this Crystal War and the main reason why Equestria is fighting this war.” Wave Runner explains as the two sisters look at each other.

A few hours later Alysia arrives at the lake followed by a 6 ft even, full grown ,drop dead gorgeous and athletic light blue unicorn mare with crimson red mane and tail. She was attired in a cream colored short sleeve mid knee length dress with her princess’s regalia. On her light blue bare feet were gold gladiator style sandals. As the mare approached the blanket, the faces of both Celestia and Luna glazes with shock. As they brought their hands to their snouts, tears started to run down their cheeks.

“Blue...Blueberry?” Celestia said hesitantly as tears started to form in the eyes of the mare, she slowly shook her head.

“Yes, Mother.” Blueberry answered tearful as Celestia leaps to her feet and ran over to her youngest daughter and wraps her arms and wings around her. A moment later, Luna joins her sister in the embrace of her niece.

“Alysia, you did well my daughter.” Wave Runner comment pleased as Alysia joins her mother who was sitting on top of a rock next to the lake.

“Thank you mother.” Alysia answered

“What did your father and aunt say about visiting their mother and aunt?” Wave Runner inquired as Alysia leaned against the rock her mother was sitting on.

“Father and Aunt Aurora are a little busy at the moment to break away for a visit, they want to come see their mother and aunt. But they have a huge operation underway in the snow field to break the hold of the Crystal Empire Forces in one region.” Alysia explains to her mother as Celestia, Luna and Blueberry sit down on the blanket to catch-up.

“Father also tells me for this operation they don’t need Aunt Blueberry’s troops. Plus she has not gone on R&R forever, They are worried she’s going to kill herself at the pace she is going at. They know she wants so much to free her crystal ponies from under the iron grip of Princess Flurry Heart Sparkle. so they both agreed to send Blueberry home to rest and visit their mother and aunt.” Alysia explains as they watch the sun slowly set in the sky above the Grand royal palace.

Later that evening, after a huge family dinner to welcome back Princess Celestia Silverlight and Princess Luna Silverlight, the three mares retired to a small sitting room within the Royal Palace to continue talking. Both Princess Wave Runner and her daughter Princess Alysia retired for the evening as they have morning court tomorrow.

Sitting on the coffee table, in the center of the room, surrounded by two chairs and two sofas, was a tray with a pitcher of apple cider and three glasses. In the room, sitting on a chair, was Grand Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight. Stretched out on one of the sofas with her shoes removed was Blueberry’s Aunt Princess Luna Silverlight. Her mother Princess Celestia Silverlight sat on the other sofa with her legs crossed sipping the apple cider from her cup.

“Oh Blueberry? Wave Runner mentioned early that a pony that was coming to visit us could tell me about this Crystal war Equestria is involved in, because she was part of it. Are you that pony?” Princess Luna inquired as Blueberry shook her head, tears running down her cheeks.

“I am so sorry mama and Auntie this war is my fault. I failed my duty as a protector of Harmony and your dream of enduring harmony in Equestria.” Blueberry’s voice was wooden and distant as it caused Celestia to run over to her youngest daughter and begin to try to comfort her.

“Blueberry, please stop crying, remember what I told you when you were a filly. Being a princess is a series of ups and downs each event that happens under your watch is a test that will push your heart to the limit. But if you follow what your heart tells you, you will never fail as a Princess of Equestria.” Celestia said consoling as Blueberry took a deep breath and dried her tears.

“I have missed your wise counsel, mother.” Blueberry said appreciatively as she hugs her mother Celestia.

“Thank you mother.” Blueberry thankful as her mother returns to her seat on the sofa as Luna pours herself another glass of apple cider from the pitcher.

“Please, dear niece, tell us about how this war started. So your mother and I can understand what is going on in this new Equestria.” Luna inquires as she took a sip of apple cider from her glass.

“To understand how this Crystal war started, you first must know what prompted it. Not only did you and mother disappear, but cousin Cadence did as well, leaving the Crystal Empire in disarray and wide open to the darkness taking control of the empire. Princess Flurry Heart was still too young to take over rule of the Empire and Cadence’s husband Prince Shining Armor is a good captain of the royal guard, but he is no ruler.” Blueberry explains as Celestia and Luna gawk in disbelief learning that Princess Cadence disappeared along with them.

“After our homeland of Equestria was well in hand Aurora looked to finding a new ruling Princess of the Crystal Empire. That’s where I come into the story. At first I didn’t want to rule the Crystal Empire, but after talking to Somnus about it he convinced me to take over as ruling Princess of the Crystal Empire. So I did.” Blueberry explains as Luna had a huge smile on her snout about her nephew Somnus’ taking control of her throne of the moon. Equally as proud was their mother Celestia who was beside herself with pride that her oldest daughter stepped-up to take control of the Sun throne.

“Under my rulership the Crystal Empire was an ideal Empire. All my Crystal Ponies were happy and healthy. Then it happened, Princess Flurry Heart came of age and everything changed. She forcefully took control of the Empire with her ego and tried to have me killed eventhough I gave up the throne to her.” Blueberry said bitterly as sudden spurts of adrenaline course through the sister’s veins shocked that Princess Flurry Heart has little regard for the life of a true Princess of Equestria.

Few hours later that same evening, after being told by her younger daughter how the Crystal war began, a downcast Princess Celestia sits on a cushioned window seat. As she looks outside at the Equestria nighttime, she wonders if the three of them didn’t disappear, would the Crystal war have started.

The soft pip plop of barefeet on the tile hallway echoes softly. Walking down the hall, wearing her light blue wrapped robe was Celestia’s granddaughter Princess Alysia. She got up to get a drink of water and was on her way back to her bed chamber to sleep when she noticed her grandmother sitting on the hallway window seat.

“Good evening Grandma.” Alysia said friendly as Celestia didn’t reply to her first greeting. Calmly, Alysia repeated her greetings to Celestia now getting her attention.

“Huh? Oh Alysia, I am sorry, I am not use to being called Grandma yet. But anyway what can I do for you?” Celestia said a bit embarrassed.

“It’s ok Grandma, I have to get use to having my grandmother around to talk to, besides that, I saw you sitting here thinking about something. What’s wrong grandma?” Alysia asked as she sat down on the same window seat across from her grandmother.

“I was just told by your Aunt Blueberry, how this Crystal War started.” Celestia commented a bit sadden as her granddaughter sighs softly looking outside at the night sky.

“It started with ego, and then evolved into the Crystal War. When Princess Flurry Heart Sparkle gained that ego about being a natural born Alicorn. There was no talking to her.” Alysia comments gruffly as Celestia’s goddess like features fell upon hearing what her granddaughter said.

“I am sorry grandmother, I didn’t mean to make it sound like being a natural born Alicorn was a bad thing. ” Alysia said as Celestia slid over to her granddaughter and put her arm around her.

“Don’t worry yourself granddaughter, I know you don’t think all Alicorns are like Princess Flurry Heart.” Celestia said reassuring as she reached down and unbuckled her sandals off her fairly large feet. A fleeting misgiving looking formed on Alysia’s face that soon vanished upon looking into her soft light purple eyes of her missing grandmother.

“Besides it’s getting late and do you not have morning court to attend to with your mother in the morning, Alysia?” Celestia reminder her as she removed her sandals and stood up to walk her grandchild back to her bed chamber to get some sleep before the coming morning

“I do, Grandmother, Good night.” Alysia said lovingly as Celestia gave her Granddaughter a kiss on her horn.

It’s an hour into the morning court session in Canterlot. With the presents of the Grand Princess of Love, Blueberry Swirl Silverlight, she’s at the royal palace to visit her mother and her Aunt. Both Princess Alysia Silverlight and her mother Princess Wave Runner Silverlight forgo their normal duties of holding royal court this day and allow the Grand Princess to hold morning court in their places.

In a small private dining room in the palace, Princess Alysia enjoys a brunch with her Grandmother Princess Celestia and her Great Aunt Princess Luna who have slowly adjusted to this new Equestria they find themselves in.

“Great niece, may I ask you a question?” Luna inquires looking over to Alysia

“Sure great auntie, What?” she answers cleaning her mouth with a napkin before placing it back on her lap.

“Whatever happened to magic in this new Equestria?” Luna asked the question who also got Celestia’s attention as she wonders as well.

“M-M-magic?” Alysia replied a bit confused with the question her Great Aunt Luna asked.

“Great Auntie? What is magic? I’ve never heard of magic before?” Alysia replied even more confused with the word 'magic'.

“Alysia, you are a unicorn pony How can you not know what magic is? Magic is the mainstay of what unicorn ponies’ do.” Luna discombobulated with her great niece’s puzzlement over a simple word like 'magic'.

“I -I -I.” Alysia baffled with her great aunt’s question

Soon the sound of clicking heels on the floor outside echo into the room as Grand Princess Blueberry arrives attired in a blue slightly below the knee length dress with gold heeled dress sandals. To round out her outfit, she wears her Princess’s regalia. She just finished up morning court in the throne room.

“Now Auntie, that’s not fair to poor Alysia. She was born after magic evolved into something else. So to ask her about magic will get you no answer because she was never exposed to the old ways of unicorn magic.” Blueberry said reassuringly as she walked up beside Alysia’s chair and bent down to kiss her on her cheek.

“Greetings niece.” Blueberry said friendly as she pulls out a chair from the table and sits down gracefully beside her niece.

“Do you mean magic still exist in this new Equestria? In a different form, dear?” Celestia realizing what her daughter said as Blueberry looks at her niece and smiles at her playfully.

Luna watches closely as Blueberry’s horn glows for a moment, before it returns to normal. Not sensing any kind of magic energy in the immediate area, Luna figures the spell failed. Suddenly Luna is startled by the unrestrained laughter coming from her sister Celestia, who was pounding her fist on a table trying to regain control of herself.

“Auntie, please stop using your power on grandma.” Alysia asks a bit hurt as Blueberry stopped using her power on her own mother.

“Sister what happened?” Luna inquired as Celestia begins to catch her breath after the unrestrained laughter she unleashed. It takes a few minutes for her to catch her breath and answer her sister’s question.

“I I have no idea what just happened, Luna. One moment I am feeling fine, and then suddenly it felt like numerous little fingers were tickling the soles of my feet at the same time. So I had no choice but to let it out. If that’s the power of this new Equestria, no wonder our power didn’t work when we first woke-up. It’s a totally different kind of power; we can’t sense it with our magic sense ability.” Celestia explains as the thought of learning something new thrilled the two sisters to no end.

“Blueberry what is the power called, may I ask?” Celestia inquires to her younger daughter

“The power is called Psychic Ability, mother. It’s the power that evolved from unicorn magic. A unicorn had to physically learn a spell from a book of spells. The unicorn that uses psychic power doesn’t. The effects come from the mind of the unicorn itself. Just like the old unicorn magic, the psychic ability differs from unicorn to unicorn.” Blueberry explains to her mother who’s taking it all in as Luna stands-up and asks Alysia to join her outside to talk with her.

“Thank you great niece for joining me, I have nothing against your Aunt Blueberry explaining everything to me about psychic ability. but I’d rather hear it from my great niece with a less longwinded explanation. if that’s ok with you.” Luna comments plopping down on a stone bench in the gardens as she gestures with her hand asking Alysia to sit down across from her.

“It’s o.k. with me great Auntie. I’ll try my best to explain psychic ability to you.” Alysia says in a friendly tone as she sits down. A smile forms on Luna’s snout.

“Very good great niece, but before we begin, can you show me one of your own abilities?” Luna asks politely as Alysia shook her head.

“Yes, great Auntie, All right, I want you to pay attention. To strap and buckle on the dress sandal you are wearing. I will unbuckle your sandal and remove it with one of my own abilities.” Alysia said as she takes a deep breath. Slowly her horn begins to glow as she concentrates on the task at hand.

Luna watches in amazement as a blue energy orb forms around the short strap on her sandal. Slowly the short strap slides out from under the silver buckle and goes taut. The small metal hook that locks the strap in place through one of the many holes pops out. The taut strap slackens allowing it to slide the rest of the way out from under the silver buckle. Luna can feel that her sandal is hanging loosely on her foot and it falls to the ground. The blue energy orb surrounds the sandal as it floats off her foot comes to rest on Alysia’s lap.

“Well done great niece (clapping her hands together) But I asked you to show me one of your own abilities, not a just general one.” Luna says appreciatively as Alysia give a startling look of surprise that her great aunt knew she was using a general ability.

“When did you know, great auntie, that I was using a general psychic ability?” Alysia inquired as Luna gets-up and hobbles her way over to the bench Alysia was sitting on as she’s one sandal short.

“The moment you started demonstrating, great niece. (Alysia gasps) Your father never told you it’s pretty hard to get something pass me. I am the Princess of Dreams, because of that, I know what is real and fake. When you started to demonstrate I knew you would not use your own ability. But the question is why, Great niece?” Luna explains as she places her hand onto Alysia’s shoulder.

“The reason I didn’t use my own ability, Great Auntie, is because I am the most common psychic around Equestria. I am called a Psychic Sensitive. I can feel the presence of all psychic energy and read the imprints of strong feelings on objects and read the emotions of others, as well as communicate telepathically. It doesn’t have the attack ability of the rest of my family.” Alysia said ashamed as Luna places her hand on her great niece’s shoulder trying to reassure her.

Meanwhile, at the same time, the front doors of the Grand Royal Palace open up and two full grown Alicorns arrive in battered nano bot combat body armor. A stallion and a mare walk into the Grand Palace vestibule. Every palace staff member present at the time in the vestibule knee down and bow their heads in respect to these Alicorns. The Alicorns were Grand Princess of the Sun, Aurora Silverlight and her brother Grand Prince of the Moon, Somnus Silverlight. Upon receiving the initial report from Somnus’s daughter and Aurora’s niece, Princess Alysia, that she possibly has two real Alicorns being held at the palace, it could be their missing family members.

The Grand Princess begins to form a brilliant plan to finally put an end to this deadlocked Crystal War before anymore of their troops fall in battle. With one quick gesture she approved the royal investigation into the identity of the two Alicorn mares. Her hope was that the two Alicorns held at the palace were her mother and her aunt, who went missing 9 years ago.

Four weeks later Somnus’s wife Princess Wave Runner sent the results of the tests to her sister-in-law Grand Princess Aurora confirming that the two Alicorns were, in fact, her mother Princess Celestia Silverlight and her aunt Princess Luna Silverlight. With the results she hoped for, Grand Princess Aurora set in motion the rest of her brilliant plan. During a skirmish fight with a small detachment of foot soldiers from the Crystal Empire troops.

A small detachment of average foot soldiers from the royal army troops drop a top secret message as they retreated from the fight. The Crystal Empire troops found the top secret message and read it. It stated that Princess Celestia Silverlight and Princess Luna Silverlight had returned to Canterlot after disappearing for nine years. To add credit to the report, two still photos taken at the Palace and a time stamped four weeks earlier were included in the message.

With the plan progressing as the Grand Princess expected, the Grand Prince pulled the combined forces back from the battlefield, to allow his sister’s plan to fully develop to end this Crystal War for good. As Aurora thought, the troops that found the top secret message was a conscript unit force, to fight for Princess Flurry Heart or get their family killed. It took two days for the plan to fully mature. When it did, the high energy shield that protected the Crystal City was lowered and all the Crystal Empire forces surrendered to the combined forces. To show sincerity, the General of the Crystal Empire forces handed over a stunned and stupefied Princess Flurry Heart for a war trial to the Grand Princess.

~back at the Canterlot Royal Palace~

“Did the plan work your Grand Highness?” Princess Wave Runner asked as she joined them on the second floor landing of the palace by her husband Somnus and his sister Aurora.

“Better than I hoped, Wave Runner. It’s all thanks to you and my niece, if Alysia didn’t believe that those Alicorns intruders, were real Alicorns, this war would have continued for how long I don’t know?” Aurora explains as Princess Wave Runner embraces and kisses her husband happily to have him back home.

“So now what, Aurora?” Somnus inquires as he poked his wife’s ribs with his finger that causes his wife to chuckle.

“As I was explaining to you on the flight back to Canterlot, I sent Blueberry’s troops to the Crystal City to secure it because it was their home and I didn’t want the crystal pony to think we are an occupying force. Plus it should be easier for Blueberry’s troops and the Crystal Ponies to ferret out those troops still loyal to Princess Flurry Heart, if any are left. Plus, the bulk of the combined forces are exhausted. It would be a good idea for them to return back to their home bases to rest and recover.” Aurora explains as she deactivated her nano bot combat body armor leaving her wearing her nano-suit. Soon Somnus follows suit.

“Does Blueberry, Alysia, our mother and our aunt know we are back, Wave Runner?” Aurora inquires as she lowers the zipper of her nano-suit to just above her bust, as she has been wearing the same suit for the longest time.

“No your grand highness, I have not told them the news of both your returns.” Wave Runner answers as Somnus lower his zipper revealing his rippled chest.

“Very good Wave Runner, let’s keep it that way for the moment. That should give us both time to take a well needed shower and change into some clean clothes, before we go reunite with our mother and our aunt.” Aurora explains as she sits down on the rail of the balustrade and pulls her boots off, leaving her barefooted.

“Now if you excuse me, I have been wearing this same nano suit for the longest time. I think it’s starting to grow on me.” Aurora comments as she patters off toward the private living area of the Palace leaving both Princess Wave Runner and Grand Prince Somnus on the second floor landing to talk.

“Tell me Wave Runner, how has it been for Alysia meeting her grandmother?” Somnus inquired as he sits on the rail of the balustrade.

“I have seen so many changes in our daughter, dear, since she met her grandmother Celestia. I feel one day she will be a great ruler for Equestria with her grandmother’s guidance.” Wave Runner said proudly as she crosses her arms in front of her.

“What about her great Aunt?” Somnus inquires

“About the same as her grandmother. It seems that the Alicorn of night can draw out some great things from our daughter, considering she doesn’t let anyone get to close to her. She fears that one day her Siren rage will hurt someone she cares about.” Wave Runner said unease as Somnus quickly hugs his wife to reassure her.

It an hour since the return of Grand Princess of the Sun Aurora Silverlight and her brother Grand Prince of the Moon Somnus Silverlight from battlefields of the Crystal Empire. In her bedchamber, a barefooted and bathed Aurora walks about her room attired in vibrant avocado-colored mid-knee length dress. She stops in front of a full-length mirror and proceeds to don a gold tiara on her head behind her horn, followed by adjusting a gold necklace with a sun symbol on it. With everything, perfect Aurora uses her psychic power to float a pair of black wedge sandals out of her wardrobe and slips her feet into the shoes.

In the hallway outside his older sister's bedchamber stood an impatient Grand Prince Somnus; he was attired oxford blue colored short-sleeve performance super shirt and British khaki-colored slim fit flat front pants. Why on his feet were black dress boots and he was wearing his royal regalia? A moment later, the door to his older sister's bedchamber opens up, and she blinks with surprise the moment she noticed her brother waiting for her.

"What took you so long, Aurora?" Somnus inquiries annoyed

"First off, I am a mare; we mares must look our best, Somnus," Aurora answers as she nervously tapping her foot on the ground.

"This has nothing to do with you looking your best, sister. Your foot gave you away. You are just as nervous as I am about reuniting with our mother and our Aunt after nine long years," Somnus explains as Aurora steps on her foot to stop it from moving.

"Sighs- you know too much about me, brother. But you are correct I am very nervous about reuniting with our mother and our Aunt they disappeared nine years ago. Look at us brother (flipping her palm up in the air) we are full-grown Alicorns, not to mention the rulers of Equestria. I am the Grand Princess of the Sun, and you are the Grand Prince of the Moon. The two titles that our Mother and our Aunt held for millennium." Aurora explains as Somnus polite laughs.

"I am sorry sister, but I must correct you're there. The title for our mother was Princess of the Sun, and the tile for our Aunt was Princess of the Moon after they're disappeared. We tack on the title Grand Princess and Grand Prince to their old titles as a way to begin anew with our rule of Equestria. But you do have something right, sister. We are full-grown Alicorns. But that doesn't mean we should not seek counsel from our mother and our Aunt. They still have much to teach us and my daughter Alysia could benefit greatly from the wisdom of Celestia and Luna." Somnus explains as the two siblings check the time on their MCV and figure, they have delayed enough the reunite with their mother and Aunt.

Sometime later, Aurora and Somnus arrive in the Grand Royal Palace solarium sitting in the room was Grand Princess Blueberry and Somnus' daughter Princess Alysia. The two ponies were talking to each other over a pitcher of sweet apple cider.

Upon seeing her father entering the room, Alysia's face flushes with happiness, and she runs over to him, followed by hugs him. Aurora informs her little sister Blueberry that Princess Flurry Heart Sparkle has been arrested and is now sitting in prison for war crimes against Equestria. She also tells her that she sent her troops to the Crystal City to secure it for her. Aurora heard an audible sigh of relief from her little sister upon hearing that Crystal City is now safe. She can now relax knowing that the terror of the last ten years is finely over and her Crystal ponies can now live in peace once again. But deep down in her heart Blueberry knows that this event is far from being done. After spending some time with Alysia and Blueberry in the Grand Royal Palace solarium, the two older siblings head out to find their missing family members to reunite with them.

In the palace gardens, Princess Celestia Silverlight attired in a burgundy color slightly below knee dress and gray espadrille platforms sandals stand on the shore of the secret lake tossing small stones into the water, causing ripples to form. A profound sadness pierces her very heart; she was there for the birth of Princess Flurry Heart. At the time of the delivery, she thought a natural-born Alicorn would be a gift to all the lands of Equestria. But in the light of recent events, that gift has become a nightmare to Equestria. It has sweep-up her precious foals into another era of lost harmony, something this very protective Alicorn mother never wanted to happen to her foals.

Watching from the path leading to the secret lake in the garden was Grand Princess of the Sun Aurora Silverlight from this far away. She can sense that this Crystal War with Princess Flurry Heart weights heavily on her mother's heart. She thought having a natural born Alicorn would reinforce harmony in Equestria along with her beloved foals, but that was not to be. Aurora quickens her pace to reach her mother before she becomes more depressed. She hoping by reuniting with her mother, it will cure her of some of the pain she knows she feeling.

"Mother," Aurora said in the caring voice behind Celestia as she slowly turns around to see who spoke to her.

"A-Aurora?" Celestia said she lost for words as tears once again fill her light purple eyes. Before Aurora knew what happen, she was wrapped in the arms and wings of her missing mother. Who was overjoyed upon seeing her oldest foal very much alive and ruler of her Sun throne.

At that same time back in the private living area of Grand Royal Palace Grand Prince of the Moon, Somnus Silverlight stood in front of his Aunt Luna's double wooden doors with a carved crescent moon design on it. After talking to Blueberry, who told him that their Aunt went to her bedchamber, Somnus head over there. He knocks once on the door but gets no answer and figures that his Aunt is most likely taking a short nap.

He quietly opens the door and sticks his head into the room. As he thought to stretch out on her bed, attired in a light green slightly below knee-length dress was his sleeping Aunt Princess Luna Silverlight. A mischievous smile forms on Somnus' snout went he notice that his Aunt's large dark blue bare feet were exposed to some ticklish teasing. He quietly sneaks into her room and positions himself at the foot of her bed.

"Time to wake up, Auntie," Somnus said quietly as a prankish smile replaces the mischievous smile on his snout. He lightly stroked his fingers up and down the large dark blue soles of Luna's feet, targeting the arches of her feet. Till a smile forms on her snout, followed by laughter that wakes her up.

"Who dares tickle thy royal tootsies without thy permission?" Luna's voice booms as she searches around her room, trying to locate the guilty party who tickles the arches of her feet.

At the foot of her bed, Somnus has a tight grip an around his snout, trying to keep from laughing and giving away his position to his Auntie Luna. After the search for a little while, Luna figures she was dreaming about the whole thing. She was about to lay her head back down on her pillow went Somnus could no longer hold in his laughter and let it go. The laughter draws Luna's attention to the end of her bed, and she crawls over to it, press against the mattress of her bed was an Alicorn stallion.

"Raise you rascal! And face thy Princess of the Night. Explains thy reason for tickling your Princess's royal feet." Luna said, commanding as Somnus knew the jig was up and slowly rose to his feet.

As Somnus removed his hands from his face, Luna gasps as tears form in her moderate cyan colored eyes. Upon figure out that she and Celestia were back in Equestria after accidentally getting access to the Canterlot matrix through her sister playing with the Minicomputer vambrace on her forearm. They quickly try to find out about the fate of Celestia's foals. But were defeated rapidly went the Canterlot Matrix security system terminate the connection from her sister's MCV before they could get any information on them.

"S-Somnus?" Luna said uncertainly as she hesitantly reaches her hand out. The stallion grabs Luna's hand and tenderly rubs it against his cheek. With that, tears begin streaming down Luna's cheek, overjoyed to be reunited with her nephew Somnus.

"Cough I am happy to see thy alive, my dear little Somnus. And very pleased that you now rule my moon throne (noticing the black crown on his head behind his horn)," Luna comments returning to her hands-off attitude.

"I am sorry, Auntie, for tickling your feet," Somnus said apologetically as Luna chuckle into the back of her hand.

"I should have known, it was you Somnus, no pony is brave enough to face the wrath of the Princess of the Night, but you. Besides that, I will grant thee mercy, for if you didn't wake me up, I would have missed reuniting with you like this away from your royal duties. Where we can speak casually with each other as we did before." Luna explains as she walked over to a small sitting area in her room.

A moment later, she gestures Somnus to join her in the sitting area to talk; for the next few hours, the two ponies of the night spoke casually to each other. In that time, Somnus brought his Aunt Luna up to speed with a new history of Equestria. Till Luna's face took on a more severe look went the conversation shifted to current events in Equestria.

"I must know Somnus, was it a surprise?" Luna inquiry as she rests her chin on her hand.

"After what you taught me, Auntie. I had a feeling something like that was going to happen for a pony to gain ultimate power; they must forfeit a part of themselves. To gain that level, it much easier to gain that level went you are naturally born that way. so no, it was not a surprise; it was inevitable." Somnus explains as Luna let out an audible sigh and sinks back in her chair.

"Inevitable the exact word I used went, I started to teach you how to manipulate the forces of night magic. It was meant as a warning to you, that you would only listen to me and heeds my instructions to the letter. My lessons were no game if you ever treated my lessons as a game. I would suspend any new lessons for you. Till you took it seriously again." Luna explains as she sits up in her chair with a feeling of unfettering joy.

"As cold as your tutorage was, Auntie. I saw the pride in your eyes went I master an aspect of your night magic and the strength I had to resist the corruption." Somnus said as Luna started to blush.

"Somnus, please stop it; you are embarrassing me. If your parents didn't entrust your magic schooling to me. You would have surely been corrupted by darkens aspects of the night magic. Black crystal magic of an Umbra unicorn. But I am happy to say that you mastered the night magic of a Moon Alicorn, like me." Luna said with pride in her voice as Somnus stood up and kissed his Aunt on her cheek and hugs her to thank her for sticking with him all the way.

Sitting on a bench under a mighty oak tree in the Palace Gardens was Princess Celestia Silverlight and her oldest daughter Grand Princess Aurora Silverlight. After an emotional reunion with Aurora, Celestia quickly composed herself to try to appear unfazed by the whole occurrences. But Aurora knew that her mother was flushed with happiness to have her daughter with her.

"Aurora dear, was it a surprise when Princess Flurry Heart seized the Throne of Love from your little sister Blueberry?" Celestia inquiries as she crossed her legs and rests her elbow on top of her knee and placed her chin on the flat of her palm.

"There were no indications of any trouble in the Crystal Empire, mother. As far as I could sense, it was a typical day in Crystal City. So yes, it was a surprise, mother."Aurora answers as she crossed her legs and rested her hands on her knees.

"Surely your brother senses something off about the Crystal Empire, his senses are more in-tune to the darker side. Just like Luna, who taught him what she knows about night magic," Celestia comments as she brushes the dirt off her toenails.

"Unfortunately during the time of the coup, mother. Somnus and I developed a small rivalry between us. So he was not going to share any of his impressions with me, and I did the same." Aurora explains as Celestia's eyes blink with disbelief that her son and daughter allowed a petty rivalry to develop between them.

"Aurora Sol Silverlight. I taught you better than that. There are two rulers in Equestria. You and your brother. None can rule without other. Did my story of the trouble between my sister and me not leave an impression on you. and to make things worse, you lost a crucial impression by not talking to your brother went the coup happen." Celestia said in a huff as she slammed her foot on the ground in front of her.

"I know that mother; it took the Crystal War to relight the bond we once had as a brother and a sister. So I know how childish it was to allow such a petty rivalry to shatter our bond. On the flight back to Canterlot from the Crystal Empire, Somnus and I spoke for a good long time. We reconcile the differences between us, so by the time the transport helicopter landed at the Palace. we strengthen our bond, and we both accepted that it was our rivalry that put our little sister in danger. We promise each other that it will never happen again, and we will talk." Aurora said very sorry as Celestia's regard with an open fondness that her two oldest foals repaired their bond for the good of their family, ponies, and Equestria.

In Luna's bedchamber, the two ponies of the night continue to talk to each other about other matters like Somnus's immediate family, in other words, his daughter and his wife.

"During the testing, Somnus. My assigned hander was your wife, Princess Wave Runner Silverlight. She told me after the results confirmed my identity as a pure Alicorn mare. That she was a sea pony and demonstrated her ability to transform into her sea pony form went inside a body of water. But I sense she was keeping something from me. What was it, Somnus?" Luna inquiries as Somnus's face took on a hunted look.

"She no normal sea pony is she, she something else," Luna said, prodding Somnus for answers about his wife and her real identity.

"She is a siren, Auntie," Somnus said hesitantly as Luna recoil in horror.

"She a siren! All those creatures do is spread discord with their songs. How could you have been caught by that siren, Somnus?" Luna's voice thick with insinuation as Somnus face flushes with indignation.

"My wife is not that kind of monster that Star Swirl the bearded banished long ago!" Somnus' voice risings an octave, as a fearful chill runs down Luna's spine with Somnus's strong reaction toward her. He spread his wings and flew off his muscles tensing.

A moment later Luna's bedchamber doors open sauntering into the room was Princess Wave Runner Silverlight Somnus' wife. She was attired in blue top of the knee-length dress with stone-colored flat sandals. She was wearing her royal regalia to round out her outfit. On her way back to her and Somnus's bedchamber to get some rest, she senses the upsurge of negative energy from Somnus, whose heart was intertwined with her. A side effect of being a mated siren.

"Greetings, your highness." Wave Runner politely.

"What do you want, you evil siren. I don't know how you were able to take control of Somnus. But I will break your control of him." Luna said sharply as Wave Runner chuckle into her hand.

"What is there to break, your highness?" Wave Runner inquiry.

"That song you used on him." Luna knowing as Wave Runner sat down on the chair her husband once occupied.

"My songs don't work on Somnus. His heart and will are too strong for that. But I can reassure you that I do love him with all my heart. He once told me as a colt, he looks beyond your nightmare moon form to the real Luna. Are you telling me that Somnus is not allowed to look beyond the bad stories of sirens, to see what a true siren is? Yes, three of my kind did use their voices to try and take control of Equestria. But my sisters and I are not like them." Wave Runner said, brazenly tapping her finger on Luna's chests as Luna just chuckle.

"I am a truly sorry siren, I mean Princess Wave Runner Silverlight. My dear little Somnus truly found a worthy mate to stand by his side. To be the ruler of Moon means a long lonely night with little other ponies to share it. See other ponies' wonderful dreams and doing battle with the nightmares. You are the reason that Somnus can stay sane after doing battle night after night with the nightmares forces." Luna explains as she bows to Princess Wave Runner Silverlight, whose face glazes with shock from the quick change of Luna toward her.

"I have but one request, your highness. No matter what, stay at my dear little Somnus side. Love him for eternity." Luna said, heartfelt as a tear runs down Wave Runner's cheek splashing on slender light pink barefoot.
