> Blossom's Bizarre Adventure > by veeSheep > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Episode 1: Gutterflower > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Blossom’s Bizarre Adventure Canterlot High, a humble school in the town of Canterlot, the school year had started and many new students were going there for the first time, along with older students going in for another year of classes. Among the new students, there was a shy, young girl named Loving Blossom, a girl with a power only she knew about. As she approached the doors to the school, she stopped to take a deep breath, but she was accidentally pushed to the ground by another girl, one with blue skin and rainbow hair. “Shoot! Sorry there!” The girl stopped and apologized to Blossom before continuing to run into the school, Loving got back on her feet, picked up her glasses and got any dust off of her shirt and pants before stepping inside and exploring the school, she secured herself a locker and headed to a meeting at the school’s gymnasium. There, the principal, Celestia, welcomed the new students to the school and thanked the others for staying and studying there, after it was over, everyone got their schedules and headed to their classrooms. Loving’s classroom wasn’t very lively until the teacher entered to give her class, beside Blossom, to her right, sat a gray and purple girl in glasses and a school girl uniform, while to her left was a punk-looking girl with long, green hair. She sat through all the classes for that day, went out for lunch at the proper time, did everything to not seem too special, and it seemed like she’d have an average day, or even year, until she met a special girl. She had wavy red and yellow hair and wore a black jacket over a pink shirt with a sun symbol on it, Blossom bumped into her from the back as she talked to the rainbow-haired girl that knocked her over earlier that day, the girl in the black jacket turned around and greeted Loving cheerfully. “Hey there,” She said. “Umm…” Blossom froze in place, unable to think of a reply, so she went with the most basic thing in her head, “Hi!” She said with a closed smile. “I’m sorry for just standing here,” She mentioned, “But really, you should’ve watched where you were going as well, new kid,” She said. “I know, I’m so sorry…” Blossom felt intimidated for no good reason and returned to her meek demeanor from before. The punk girl from Loving’s classroom walked up to them and began talking. “Hey Sunset,” She said in a sarcastic tone. “Ugh, hi Chrissy” Sunset replied, seemingly annoyed at having to talk to the green-haired girl. “That’s Chrysalis to you, and what are you doing chatting with little miss quiet over there?” Chrysalis taunted them, causing Blossom to look down at the floor. “Oh, cut it out, she’s new here,” Sunset said, “Don’t you dare come at me with any ‘I wasn’t a little twerp when I came in’ stuff, Ms. Still A Freshman,” She added, making her rainbow-haired friend react to the insult with a somewhat quiet ‘Oooh!’ “Hmph,” Chrysalis grunted, “Make fun of me all you want, demon girl, you’re not in any position to trash talk someone who may as well rule this stupid school,” She insulted Sunset right back. Seeing that Sunset was somewhat shocked due to what Chrysalis said, Blossom mustered the courage in her to go up to the self-entitled punk girl and push her from behind. “So much for being so quiet, looks like you’ve got plenty of guts, don’t you?” Chrysalis said, Blossom acted scared for a moment, but soon tried to seem intimidating, as much as it wasn’t working. Chrysalis threw a punch and Blossom couldn’t dodge it, she got hit right on her belly, making her almost lose her balance, but she managed to keep herself up and use her secret ability. She outstretched her arm and it seemingly began to dissolve into vines, which ensnared Chrysalis, keeping her from attacking again. “Gutterflower, show her how to really hit hard,” A ghostly, flower-like apparition formed behind Blossom, punching Chrysalis away, in the same spot Blossom was hit in. A teacher rushed in, and Blossom returned as much as she could to normal, the students who watched that fight unfold were too shocked and confused to say anything, the teacher simply saw Chrysalis in a broken locker and that told her enough, a fight definitely happened there and she, not to the teacher’s surprise, was involved in it. The teacher helped Chrysalis get up and took her to the nurse’s office. “Oh my…” Sunset whispered, “Rainbow, I think we found another one,” She turned to her blue-skinned friend. After that bizarre incident, all the students went home, but on the way out, Blossom was met by the two girls she met at the corridor, who properly introduced themselves that time. “Hey, flower girl!” Rainbow got Blossom’s attention, “I’m Rainbow Dash, sorry for not saying anything like that earlier, heh,” She chuckled. “Yeah, and I’m Sunset Shimmer,” Sunset introduced herself. “Oh, what do you two want?” “We saw what happened back there, when you punched Chrissy away like that,” Rainbow said. “Oh, I’m sorry, that must’ve been pretty weird,” Blossom apologized, “I don’t usually use Gutterflower for stuff like that, I mainly just take care of my plants and wha- Wait, you saw her?!” “Yeah, we did see ‘Gutterflower’, it’s a long story,” Sunset claimed. “A long story that you’ll have to save for tomorrow, my bus is coming up,” Blossom nonchalantly derailed the conversation as she went to the bus stop and headed into the bus to go home. “So, new Stand user in town, eh?” Rainbow Dash asked. “It would seem so,” Shimmer said, “we need to know more about this girl and her powers,” She asserted. At the nurse’s office, Chrysalis was walking out through the doors, clutching her belly from the pain she still felt, she headed to her locker to grab her stuff and leave, on the way out, there was nobody else around the school, she was all alone as she walked to her home, but down the street, she met an odd man in a suit and tie with combed back, golden hair. “What’s wrong, lady?” The man asked, “You look a bit down,” He added. Chrysalis hesitated in talking to a stranger but she eventually told him what happened, “I got my butt kicked at school by some newbie brat,” She said, in an angry tone. “Well, that’s sad, isn’t it?” The man replied as they continued to walk alongside each other. “Yeah, I totally could’ve ended that kid if I wanted to, but she punched me into a locker,” Chrysalis continued to be angry, “But you can’t do anything to help me, so why are you interested at all?” “What if I could help?” The man questioned her, “This ‘brat’ doesn’t sound like a big deal of a person,” He joked. “If you could, what would you do?” Chrysalis asked, the man simply reached into the bag he carried and pulled out an object, a golden arrow head, similar in shape to the spades symbol in a deck of cards, “What? Am I supposed to cut her up with this thing?” She was visibly confused. “Well, you’ll figure it out soon, in the mean time, I have better things to do than chit chat with a high school student, goodbye,” The man said as he picked up his pace to, presumably, get home in time. “Wait! I don’t even know your name!” Chrysalis shouted towards him after examining the arrow a bit more, but she got no response, the man simply continued on his way, leaving Chrysalis confused and with a new thing to play with. To Be Continued… > Episode 2: Blue Eyed Hex - Part 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another school day started and Loving Blossom met up with Sunset Shimmer and Rainbow Dash again at Canterlot High. The three girls headed inside and got together somewhere less crowded, where nobody would overhear their conversation. “Alright, flower girl, what’s the deal with that Gutterflower thing of yours?” Rainbow asked, trying to sound as natural as possible and failing horribly. “Rainbow just leave the questioning to me, please,” Sunset asked. “Have it your way then,” Rainbow replied, visibly annoyed at not getting a part in the interrogation. “Okay, just tells us your name and everything you know about Gutterflower,” Shimmer questioned. “Well, I’m Loving Blossom, I moved into town just recently, and I think Gutterflower’s been around since I was a little kid,” She explained, “If I ever tried to use it, I’d do it in secret, like a superhero hiding their own powers from the world,” Blossom continued. “Well, have you ever met anybody with any similar power to yours?” Sunset asked. “Not at all, I always thought I was special for having Gutterflower, and it seemed like nobody could see her, but it seems you two managed to,” Blossom continued. “Well, bad news, you’re not so special,” Rainbow Dash said, thinking that it was appropriate to say something like that. “Dash!” Sunset reprimanded her friend, “What she meant to say was: There are other people with this same sort of power,” She told, “These ghostly visions of your inner power, which stand beside their user, due to that, we call them Stands!” Sunset said as a burning humanoid figure appeared beside her and a small robotic bird appeared next to Rainbow. “Wow, so cool!” Blossom gushed over not being alone in having special powers, “Well, do they have names?” She immediately asked. “My Stand is called Burning Bright, while Rainbow’s is Rush,” Sunset stated. “Oh my gosh!” Loving got more and more excited, “Why don’t we show these things to people? Maybe they’ll think we’re really cool and special,” She asked, just barely turning and dashing off the other way. “Hey hey, slow down there, new kid,” Sunset grabbed Blossom by her backpack, “Only Stand users can see Stands, so there’s no way we can just show them off, and if we tried, we’d just look crazy, so, do as your younger self would and keep it between us,” She said. Rainbow Dash looked forwards in the corridor they were in and saw a nerdy-looking boy with odd glasses, spiky hair and a red jacket, he was staring at them, most likely in disbelief. “M-m-m-mo…” The boy mumbled, “More than just me?” He asked himself, the girls became just as confused as the boy, but any suspicions they had were proven right when a ghostly dark figure appeared behind the boy, he was also a Stand user and was able to see Gutterflower, Burning Bright and Rush. “Uh oh,” Rainbow said, the boy ran away and the girls went after him, but he had a head start, Rainbow used Rush to slow him down by slightly cutting at his leg with her Stand’s razor sharp wings, the boy fell over, but caught himself with both his Stand and his own strength. “Why are we chasing this guy?” Blossom asked. “This kid, Double Vision, never had a Stand before, I’m sure of that,” Sunset said, “If he has one now, that means someone around here has what we’re looking for,” She asserted, but that statement only left Blossom more confused, she had no what what they were looking for and had no time to guess what it was, they just kept running. Double Vision only kept running past other students, he seemingly wanted to find a good crowd or general spot to hide, but the students were heading to their classrooms and he had nowhere to go, it was 3 against 1, and if he just ran away, he’d surely lose, so, as he reached the main hall of the school, he stopped and turned, putting up a menacing stance. The girls caught up to Double Vision and saw his Stand take form beside him, a robot with various tubes on its joints, its face was merely two bright blue eyes in a circular indentation, with 6 holes in place of a mouth, through which it breathed. Double Vision’s glasses had odd, long spikes around the lenses, and his Stand had the same type and pattern of spikes around its eyes. “So, who’s that fellow beside you?” Sunset asked. “Why should I tell you about my cool ghost familiar?” Double asked back, leaving his battle stance to chat with his opponents. “For one, it’s a Stand, for two, if you don’t, we’ll pummel you right here right now,” Rainbow made an attempt to intimidate their foe. “Well, as you wish,” Double said, he and his Stand struck a bizarre pose as he told Sunset, Blossom and Dash about his ability, “This is Blue Eyed Hex, I acquired it just a while ago, I can’t tell how though,” He claimed, “But I can tell you that it’s you three who will be getting pummeled if you decide to mess with me and my Stand,” Double threatened them. “You can’t be threatening even if you try, get him, Rush!” Rainbow shouted as her Stand went in for an attack, but Double easily dodged the mechanical bird by stepping to the side, leaving Rainbow shocked that someone was able to escape Rush’s attack. “Rush, a long-range type Stand, power level is roughly 195, its only abilities are to fly fast and cut stuff,” Double said, “The name fits you, you just rush into any fight, not caring what your enemy could do to mess you up,” He taunted the rainbow-haired girl. “What the heck?!” Rainbow and Sunset said in unison. Rainbow thought she had the upper hand by getting Rush to return to her, she predicted that it would hit Double in the back of the head in the process, but Blue Eyed Hex caught Rush by the head with a strong grip, giving Rainbow a headache. “How… D-Did you do that?!” Rainbow asked, in shock and still clutching her head. Double’s Stand let go of Rush and phased into its user, “I think I’ve told you plenty already, if you wanna know how, I’d say guessing is always an option, hehehe!” He taunted the three girls, who had no idea what Blue Eyed Hex could do, and thus, no idea on how to counter it. “I can tell your Stand is strong, but is it strong enough for this?!” Sunset stepped up and summoned Burning Bright to deliver a barrage of punches to Double and Blue Eyed Hex, the latter of which managed to block every hit, although they both recoiled slightly and Double had to catch his breath for a moment. “Burning Bright, a close-range Stand, power level around 540, fire manipulation and super strength, eh? Not too shabby of a Stand, Sunny,” Double taunted her. Unknown to Double Vision, he stood in one place almost all that time and did not notice Blossom using Gutterflower’s ability, she had turned one of her arms into a very thin vine behind her back and used it to sneak up to and grab Double’s leg. “Hey, you nerd, maybe look at the floor more often?” Blossom called his attention to her plan, Double was confused but looked at his leg and saw a vine extending to behind Blossom, she revealed her unraveled arm and recoiled the vine, taking Double to the ground. “Agh, you mother-!” Double stopped himself as he had to roll to the side from Burning Bright’s fists, he got up and went back to running through the corridors of Canterlot High, the girls gave chase. After some running, Double found his classroom and knocked on the door to go inside, but it was as if nobody saw or heard him, he heard the girls coming towards him and he ran away, finding himself at a dead end. “So, what will you do know, smarty pants?” Blossom asked Double. Double Vision began to laugh loudly as he lost his fear of the girls, “I should be the one asking that, come at me all you want, I’ll be dodging and blocking all day long, baby!” He yelled and stared at them, that’s when Blossom noticed something in Double’s glasses, something like a reflection, but there was little to no light to be reflected in the corridor, so she knew it must’ve been something do with his Stand. To Be Continued… > Episode 3: Blue Eyed Hex - Part 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Blossom quickly had to tell Sunset and Rainbow about her discovery, well, more of an educated guess than anything impressive. “I think I know his power!” Blossom exclaimed, Double visibly panicked for a second before going back to seeming confident. “Sure you do, new girl,” Double Vision taunted Loving as he did with the other two. Gutterflower appeared and attempted to hit Double in the face, but Blue Eyed Hex was summoned and protected Double, clashing fists with Blossom’s own Stand, the younger girl felt a sharp pain in her left hand, the same one her Stand punched with. “What?!” Blossom thought, clutching her left wrist and groaning in pain, “Nobody told me that what happens to your Stand happens to you too!” She shouted in her own mind. “Oh shoot, did I hurt little miss flowers?” Double chuckled to himself, “Gutterflower, eh? Close-range Stand with plant-based powers, power level is… 335? I expected more from someone who apparently was born with their ability,” He said. “Do you even know how to shut up and stop gloating?” Rainbow Dash complained before summoning Rush and trying to hit Double, but he just did as he did before and stepped to the side, but not quite far enough, as Rush was able to make a small cut on his face, nearly damaging his glasses. “Hey, you almost cut up my glasses! These were really expensive, y’know?” Double said. With the mention of his glasses, Sunset was somewhat able to connect the dots on what his ability was, she summoned Burning Bright to do something, but she seemed quite reluctant about it. “Here goes nothing…” Sunset said, “Crossfire Hurricane!” She held her arms in front of her and her Stand repeated the motion, creating a four-point star of pure fire and shooting it at Double, who was scared and jumped out of the way as quickly as he could. Sunset ended up missing and caused a small fire in the room behind Double, who was able to escape from them, making the girls give chase around the school once more. The four Stand-using students ended up together at the cafeteria, where Double got himself somewhat cornered again, Rainbow kept the doors closed behind them while Sunset and Blossom went ahead to fight Double. Double attempted to hide under a table, but Blossom was able to track him down with a vine from her hand, once finding him, she promptly pulled him out by the neck. “So you found me, eh? I suppose your Gutterflower isn’t as weak and useless as I thought, there are plenty of uses for it,” He admitted as a joke, “Maybe I could get you to rake the leaves back home for me, with your trashy ability,” He laughed at Blossom, who was very angry in contrast, she wanted to hit him in the face, but she did know what happened just minutes earlier, when she tried the same thing, so she did nothing and let Sunset take care of it, “I suppose that 335 level was a mistake,” Double said, adjusting his glasses, this was the last straw for them to be sure that his power had to do with the lenses. Blue Eyed Hex appeared behind Double, posing alongside him before going after the two girls, Sunset took the chance and clashed fists with Double’s Stand, but her hand didn’t get hurt, or if it did, she didn’t seem to care that much. “How about you stop trash talking and do something useful with your dumb power,” Sunset taunted, grabbing Blue Eyed Hex’ fist with Burning Bright and twisting it back, hurting Double’s wrist, “Oh wait, you’ve been doing plenty with it and your glasses all this time, haven’t you?” Double panicked and stumbled back slightly, “What the heck are you talking about? My ability has nothing to do with my glasses!” He tried to defend himself with just words, “You’re just saying that to have a reason to break them, you wouldn’t have the courage to hit a guy with glasses, would you?” He said, trying to seem confident but looking quite afraid, he knew the girls found out about his ability, he knew it since their fight earlier in the dead end corridor, but only now did he let it show that he was worried. “I knew it!” Blossom said, “Your Stand analyzes other people’s abilities and projects the stuff it learns to your lenses, where only you can see it all,” She explained, “Now, if only lenses weren’t transparent, eh?” She taunted Double, she tried the same vine trick as before, going around Double’s ankle to pull it back and trip him over, at which point either she or Sunset would beat him up and send him flying away, but, as if he knew about her plan, Double jumped up and out of Blossom’s trap. “I took your advice from earlier to heart and actually looked down, with Blue Eyed Hex,” Double said, “It doesn’t just analyze Stands, it can project any information it sees onto my glasses,” He told them, only then did either Sunset or Blossom notice that Blue Eyed Hex was looking down from Burning Bright’s hand twist move. Blossom tried to use her vine as a whip and successfully got Double off the air and onto the ground, but he got up and was properly cornered by Rainbow sneaking up behind him, his only escape was if he jumped onto the tables and rushed to the exit, but there was no way that the girls would let him do that, so he tried to fight on his own, but Rainbow pulled him back and to the ground before he could try anything funny. “Where did all that sass and confidence from earlier go, little boy?” Sunset said, stepping onto Double’s chest and looking at his scared face, “Blossom, would you like to do the honors?” She asked. Blossom stepped up and grabbed Double by the shirt collar. “Uhh…” Double thought of something to say, “You wouldn’t hit someone with glasses, would you?” He said, giggling to himself, but Gutterflower tossed his glasses against the wall, shattering the lenses, “Oh f-” Double couldn’t even finish his sentence before Gutterflower began to hit him over and over, shouting “ORA” with every extremely fast punch, finishing the beat down with one powerful strike, which sent Double flying into a wall, just barely missing a window. The girls felt victorious for a moment, but a janitor walked in and saw Double, beaten up and near a broken wall and the girls standing nearby him, “Would any of you three like to explain what happened to that kid or why the fire alarm went off or, better yet, why none of you are in class?” He asked very sternly, with his arms crossed. Later, at the principal’s office, Celestia was talking with the girls over their behavior. “I am quite disappointed in you three, this is not the first time any of you have caused trouble, but this time you’ve set fire to a supply room, broke the cafeteria wall, and the kid, Double Vision, is gonna end up in the hospital,” The principal said, “Sunset, I thought you had truly learned your lesson after the incident, Rainbow has a record of pointless fights she’s had for a while now and you, Ms. Blossom,” She called Loving out, “I know that you’re in a new school, you know basically nobody here, but if you want to cause a good impression on people and change how you are now, you can’t hit people into lockers and, pardon my language, beat them into a pulp like that,” Celestia finished. “We’re so sorry…” Sunset said. “I don’t want to seem harsh, but do you think that apologizing is gonna change what will happen because of this fight you had?” Celestia asked. “No…” Rainbow replied. “…” Celestia was quiet and then sighed, “Well, I don’t think there much else to say right about now, you can leave, but you three have to stay after class for the rest of the week in detention,” She gave the girls their punishment and they walked out of the office to meet Chrysalis, the last person they wanted near them after the talk they just had. “Looky here, little Blossom, so much for being all quiet and nice when you got in, you’ve punched me into a locker and now you smashed some other kid into mush, hahah!” She laughed to herself, as nobody else found it funny. “Shut up, will you?” Loving told Chrysalis off, still looking sad and guilty. “What if I don’t, kiddo? You can’t just hit me away again, what then?” Chrysalis reminded Blossom of her track record, “Are you gonna call a teacher, or your mommy?” She joked, but again, only she laughed, and Blossom began to cry from that insult, Sunset looked at Chrysalis with an angry stare. “Hey!” Someone called from further down the corridor, “Stop being so mean, Chryssy!” The person saying this was a girl dressed in a cream-colored sweater and a green skirt, with long pink boots, her hair was also pink and she had light-yellow skin. Chrysalis turned to face her and she quickly rushed back around the corner in fear. “Ugh, I’ll see you girls later, I have a different shy little brat to take care of,” Chrysalis said, angrily going after the pink-haired girl and leaving Sunset, Rainbow and Blossom to finally head to what classes they had left for the day. To Be Continued… > Episode 4: Purple Prose (Ebony Eyes) - Part 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was Friday, Sunset, Rainbow Dash and Blossom were heading to the detention room for the last time that week, inside, they met up with the gray girl from Blossom’s classroom and the pink-haired girl that ran from Chrysalis earlier that week, at the front of the room was a sleeping teacher, not paying attention as the innocent yellow girl fed something in her backpack, presumably a small animal, or as the nerdy gray girl texted someone in silence. “The detention room, as boring as ever,” Rainbow whispered to her friends. “Well, at least it’s finally Friday, we don’t have to come to this hole anymore after today,” Sunset responded, “Hopefully, at least,” She said. The girls took their seats and remained sitting and quiet. Blossom was sitting next to the pink-haired girl, close enough to see the small white bunny in her backpack, so, as the teacher wasn’t looking, she tried to start some small talk. “Hi there,” Blossom greeted her, “What’s your name?” “Me?” She asked, rather quietly. “Uh, yes,” Blossom whispered, “You got Chrysalis off our backs last Tuesday, what’s your name?” She asked back. “Oh, I’m Fluttershy,” The girl replied, “You’re welcome, by the way,” She said, before going back to petting her rabbit. “Why are you here? You seem really nice,” Blossom questioned her. “Angel here was caught out of my backpack, they returned him, but now I’m here because of it,” Fluttershy said, “Oh no, did that mean little crocodile play mean with you, Angel?” She changed the subject and talked to herself, as she finally noticed a pink patch of fur on her rabbit’s back leg. She held him by the chin and something crawled by her arm from within her short-sleeved shirt, it was a large group of small pink and yellow flower heads with arms and eyes. “Oh my-!” Blossom leaned back in her chair in shock, she just met another Stand user, and it was the last person she could’ve expected to have one. “What is it? Oh dear!” Fluttershy noticed that Blossom was looking at her Stand as it moved along Angel’s fur, over to where his wound would be, the small flowers began to do something on the rabbit, it flipped over for a moment and suddenly felt no pain and was perfectly healed, beign gently pet by his owner again. “You have one too?” Blossom asked, “A Stand?” She added. “So that’s what you call it? Well, I guess I do,” Fluttershy replied, Sunset overheard their conversation and moved seats to know it all better. “Hey Flutter,” Shimmer whispered at her, Blossom was slightly confused. “You two know each other already?” Blossom asked them. “Oh, yeah, we go back about a year or so, since the incident that the principal mentioned,” Sunset said, while Fluttershy simply nodded in response to Blossom’s question, “Anyways, I just heard that you have a Stand of some sort,” Sunset mentioned. “Oh, yeah, these flower things,” Fluttershy said, “I call them Pixies,” She told them her ability’s name. The three girls did not notice the nerdy-looking young lady on the other side of the room angrily looking at them, still trying to text somebody a message, but Rainbow Dash saw that the girl wasn’t typing anything, just pretending to. Dash used Rush to bump the girl in the back of the head, making her drop her phone on the ground and revealing that she was using a type of sound recording application. “Oops,” Rainbow said, not caring that she could’ve broken the phone. “Aagh! You piece of- You just barely didn’t shatter the screen!” The girl yelled, waking up the teacher that was supposed to be watching over them all, who shouted at the gray girl for using her phone and getting off her chair, giving away her name, ‘Purple Prose’. “Why were you recording stuff in here? You’re not allowed to, plus, what could be interesting to record in a detention room?” Sunset asked, getting up and walking towards Prose. “Your conversation, duh,” Prose was very direct in telling Sunset what she was interested in. “Why would you care about us that much?” Sunset continued her questioning. “If I tell, my lady won’t forgive me, my mission is a complete secret to anyone out of our group,” Prose replied, attempting to sound intimidating and mysterious. “Ugh…” Sunset grunted. “Will you two sit down already or do I have to get the principal here?” The teacher asked them. “I don’t know, will you just not get involved here?!” Prose shouted at the teacher. “Watch your attitude, little lady,” The teacher got angry, “That’s it, I’m going to get vice-principal Luna,” He threatened, going outside of the room. Purple Prose attempted to follow him, but Rainbow blocked the door with Rush, and Prose stopped at the sight of it, meaning that she had a Stand herself. “You reacted to Rush?” Blossom asked, getting off her seat along with Fluttershy. “So that’s what this dumb bird is called?” Prose joked, a dark-gray, ghostly hand appeared from Purple’s own arm, flicking Rush’s beak up, “Hahah!” “Oh crud,” Rainbow said, trying to get up but falling back with her chair before being able to. Purple Prose’s Stand took full form, it was an armored torso, with arms and a head, with a large set of golden cogs and other systems in place of hips and legs, which kept it in the air. Its head had a pair of upside-down horns and dark eyes within purple circles. “Ebony Eyes,” Prose said, “That’s what I’ve decided to call it,” She added. “Great,” Dash complained, “We’re gonna have to fight her and that thing before Luna gets here?” “My power is to turn anything I touch into a sort of trap,” Prose explained her ability, much to the girls’ confusion, why would she be so confident as to just give away what she could do? “You know that we can defeat you easily if we know what it does, right?” Blossom questioned Prose’s decisions, Dash put her hand on what was Purple’s desk and sharp spikes flew out of it, piercing the rainbow-haired girl’s hand and arm, the others gasped in terror as blood went all over the desk. “I don’t think you understand Ebony Eyes’ potential, if I can get my butt out of here with a head start, I’m invincible! Everything I touch can become a mine or a spike trap or any other thing I can imagine!” Prose gloated in front of the girls, who now had their hands full, they had to defeat Prose before she got away, before Luna arrived, without breaking the school and without actually smashing Purple into the ground. To Be Continued… > Episode 5: Purple Prose (Ebony Eyes) - Part 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fluttershy immediately rushed to Rainbow to help her with Pixies, the girls didn’t have much time to defeat Purple Prose, they knew that she would escape given the chance and Luna would be there any minute, so they needed to act quickly. “Gutterflower!” Blossom summoned her Stand, she had noticed a potted flower on the teacher’s desk in the detention room, so she tried to see if it was a real plant. Sure enough, Gutterflower was able to take the petals from the flower and turn them into small blades, which were shot towards Ebony Eyes, cutting up its horns, which translated to Purple’s ears, which began to drip blood onto the floor. “Dang it!” Prose yelled out, Rush was still holding the door, making it hard for Prose to make an exit for herself, but she had a plan. “Caught in a tough spot, eh?” Sunset taunted her opponent. “Hah! I’ve put on earrings that hurt more,” Prose said, clearly crying and lying through her teeth, she quickly stomped on a floor tile next to her and the floor began to let out smoke, which blinded and disoriented the girls and their Stands, Rush returned to Rainbow and Prose was able to get out of the room, unnoticed by her enemies. She began to run away and found her locker, which she emptied and hid inside, “Those idiots won’t be finding me so easily, I could’ve gone any way to them, they weren’t looking, heheheh,” Prose whispered to herself. Back at the detention room, the smoke was disappearing and the girls got back to their senses, immediately noticing Purple’s absence, they wanted to head out, but Luna got there first, and they had to explain themselves. “Why are none of you in your seats, and- Oh my! What happened to her arm?!” Luna noticed Rainbow’s hurt arm, which Fluttershy wanted to get back to healing. “It was that girl, Purple Prose, she has some weird magic that lets her set traps or something,” Sunset tried to explain, “She ran away from here, we were on our way to follow her and catch her,” She said. “On one hand, you lot are in detention and shouldn’t be allowed out, but on the other, if this is ‘weird magic’ we’re dealing with, that could be the start of a new big problem…” Luna tried to decide with herself, after a moment, she came to a conclusion, “Fine, go get that girl, but don’t think you’ll get special treatment for getting a student back in detention, if anything, given what you’ll surely end up doing, you’ll get a day or two extra,” The vice-principal said. “Okay, thank you, we promise not to wreck the school,” Blossom said, running past Luna and where she thought Prose had gone to, Sunset followed and Rainbow sent Rush along with them, while Pixies patched up her arm. The girls wondered where Prose could be hiding, but they soon found a corridor with many books in front of a locker and red dots on some floor tiles, they immediately knew where their foe was, as she wasn’t doing a good job at truly hiding. “Okay, any strategies to get past this, possibly literal, minefield that’s between us and that brat?” Sunset asked, looking down at the many red dots, “Rush! Rainbow, can you fly your Stand over the tiles and get to her?” She asked, possibly expecting a verbal answer, but Rush just nodded and made its way over the red dots, but some closer to the locker were proximity based and nearly set off from Rush hovering above them, thankfully, the Stand was faster than the arrows that flew up. “So, no way we can just step around these tiles to get there, some of them just care of you’re close enough,” Blossom observed, “Maybe there’s something, anything, underneath these,” She thought, turning her arm into a long and thin vine to go underneath the tiles, but she found nothing. Prose stepped out of her locker, being careful not to step on her own traps, she stood in the middle of the corridor and taunted Sunset and Blossom. “Most of these tiles are different traps, good luck reaching me!” Prose said, laughing at the two girls. “Ugh, give me a break…” Sunset complained, “You’re just a coward trying to play tough, just give it up now and we won’t beat you up,” She threatened Prose. “No way, Sunny, my lady wants you gone, and I’ll give her what she wants,” Prose continued to sound mysterious, although she let a detail or two slip out. “So you’re working for another girl here?” Blossom asked, Prose recoiled at her own mistake, “And it’s someone who would hate us, but wouldn’t want to get her hands dirty?” She continued. “Uh…” Prose stumbled on her words, thinking of anything to say, “No, I’m just kidding! Why would I just give away important details about my boss?” “We’re not buying that, you know?” Sunset responded. “Ugh! Will you please just go into the traps? You wanna fight me and get all the information out of me, don’t you?” Prose shouted at them. “Well, as you wish,” Sunset said, stepping forwards, but Blossom stopped her and jumped over a red dot tile. It turned out to be a proximity trap, which shot arrows into one of Blossom’s legs, she just barely made it to the next tile over, her leg seemed like it should be injured, but she had a trick on her, she had turned her leg into vines and made holes for the arrows to safely pass through, she was able to then take out the arrows, one of which she threw at Prose, knocking down her glasses. “What was the point of that throw? My ability has nothing to do with my glasses, unlike that idiot, Double Vision,” Prose said. “Yeah, but you needed them for a reason, didn’t you?” Blossom pointed out, Prose’s vision was indeed quite blurry without her glasses, meaning she couldn’t quite see Blossom getting closer to her, avoiding her traps with Gutterflower’s abilities. When Blossom was the closest, she threw a punch, her Stand shouting ‘ORA’, and flinging Prose out of that corridor and having the traps completely undone. “What the heck?!” Prose shouted, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy had rushed in at the other end of the corridor as well, Blossom let her pick up her glasses. “All that talking was really just buying time for our friends to get here and help us finish you off, we didn’t quite get enough, so I switched to plan B, using your own traps against you,” Blossom began to explain herself, “You avoided them, which meant that the arrows and explosions could still harm you, so I threw an arrow into your glasses to make them fall off,” Blossom continued. “How did you know that I had such bad vision?” Prose asked, stumbling to get up. “I really didn’t, I just threw the arrow and hoped for the best,” Blossom admitted, “Anyways, it’s about time you got your punishment,” She said, menacingly. “You’re not gonna do the punching thing, are you?” Prose asked, laughing nervously. “Hmm…” Blossom thought of a moment, “Nah, I think detention is plenty for a petty, wannabe villain like you,” She said, grabbing Prose by the arm and taking her back to the detention room, where Luna and the teacher were talking to each other, waiting for the girls to return. “Oh, I see you kept your word and actually went after the little magician,” Luna reacted with joy to the girls entering the room with Prose following just behind them. “Yeah, yeah, whatever,” Rainbow said, not really caring about any ‘thank you’s or things of the sort. “We found out that Prose isn’t working alone, we wanted to ask her about the other people in her team, if she has something of the sort,” Sunset said. “Well, as long as you don’t leave the room, I will allow it,” Luna said, getting off her seat and leaving it to the teacher, who stayed awake to watch the girls questioning Prose and keep them from running away before the right time. “Anyways, Ms. Purple Prose,” Blossom began, “Tell us a bit about the other Stand users in your little troupe,” She ordered. Or Double Vision?” Sunset asked. “The boss said she’d hurt me if I said anything about her, and Double wasn’t really in our group, he must’ve stolen the arrow, pricked himself and gotten that hunk of crud that he could just barely use right, I think it was called ‘Blue Eyed Hex’ or something,” Prose insulted her semi-ally, Double, “And even though he wasn’t one of us, he still got treated like one and the boss briefed us on what you bunch did to that sad nerd,” She continued. “Alright girls, playtime is over, shut it with these ‘Stand’ things and get moving, you have homes to go back to, don’t you?” The teacher said, announcing that their detention time was over. On the way out of the school, Sunset was thinking about what she had been told by Purple Prose, wondering which of those foes would attack them next, she was also in disbelief that Pinkie Pie would go to the evil side in this situation, she wasn’t even much of a fighter. The next Monday, the girls met at the cafeteria, and sat along with a girl in blue and yellow clothing with pink, fluffy hair and knee-high boots. “Oh!” Pinkie said, happy to see her friends, “Hi there, I’m so glad to see you all! I have so many stories from the holiday times that I’ve been saving up, but you were all really busy, so I waited for a while to say it all,” She rambled for a while, “Anyways, who’s the new girl?” All the girls simply stared at Pinkie with suspicious glares before Sunset spoke up, “This is Loving Blossom, she’s a new student,” Shimmer said. “Why are you all so gloomy today?” Pinkie said, growing slightly uneasy. “Maybe we’ll say, after you tell us what you’ve been up to,” Rainbow began, “What you’ve been up to here, at school, that is,” She said. “You talk like I did anything wrong, what’s the problem,” Pinkie’s uneasiness turned to confusion, but the atmosphere was brightened by a grand entrance into the cafeteria, from a girl with blue and purple clothing, wearing a witch’s hat and a cape, both with a star pattern on them. “Greetings, greetings to all the lesser versed students of Canterlot High!” The girl began to talk, and many students began to ignore her or rest their faces on their hands, as if in boredom or disappointment. “Yay, it’s the ‘Gweat and Powewful Twixie’,” Rainbow mocked the girl who was dressed as a wizard. “Yay indeed, my friend, it is I, the Great and Powerful Trixie!” She said, completely ignoring the rainbow girl’s insult. “Does she does this all the time?” Blossom asked Sunset. “Only when she wants attention or to let people know of a new show of hers, so, it happens often,” Sunset replied. “For this afternoon only, come one, come all, to appreciate ‘Trixie’s Autumn Carnival’!” Trixie proudly announced, “All of you, lovely students, are invited to appear at my show and witness treacherous tricks, amazing acts, and superb… magic!” Trixie continued to speak, many people became interested, but they were a loud minority, as plenty of students continued to just eat or went away entirely. “Isn’t Autumn Carnival the name of her Stand?” Fluttershy whispered into Sunset’s ear. It was when Trixie spoke up again that the magician girl’s plan became clear. “You, Sunset Shimmer and gang, are guests of honor, so you better show up,” Trixie said. Rainbow wanted to get up and attack Trixie, but Sunset held her back. “If we attack now, this won’t end well for any of us,” Sunset said, quietly, “We should probably go to the show and fight her then and there,” She suggested. “I mean, I have better things to do later on,” Blossom said, Rainbow and Fluttershy nodded, also claiming that they also had plans later in the day. “I can go with you, Sunny!” Pinkie said, much to Sunset’s dismay, but she was her only option if she wanted to defeat Trixie, as Pinkie also had a Stand ability, so, Sunset complied. “Alright, you can help me, Pinkie,” Sunset had to admit and have Pinkie come along, despite the possibility that the pink, party-loving girl could betray Sunset at any moment in the upcoming battle. Trixie left the cafeteria, having nothing more to say, and later, all the other students went to class as well. After class, everyone heard Trixie’s voice through the intercom. “All students interested in watching Trixie’s Autumn Carnival, proceed to the school’s gymnasium, especially Sunset Shimmer and friends, I’ll be awaiting you all patiently,” “Very well, let’s go,” Sunset said, growing the confidence to go ahead and face Trixie and whatever her Stand had to offer.
