> Fallout Equestria: Nightmare Night > by Comrade Bagel Muffin > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Games in New Applelossa > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two Bit walked across the desert of Equestria, cursing his luck. The damn DJ had to go and say that slavery was bad, he was nothing but a moral grandstander. Slavery was grey at worse. Sure there were those idiots that were to rich or stupid to know how to treat a slave, but that wasn't a fair representation of slave holders. Hell he was an excellent master. Both of his slaves loved him. Shit if he freed them poor little Half Hazard would breakdown crying. Circuit Breaker, well she was different, she wasn't born a slave, nor had he properly broken her yet. It was typical of his luck buy a slave that can work computers half a year after Vice gets blasted off of the map. Now he's stuck trudging all the way up north to Old Applelossa, to get rid of his load. And hopefully he'd lose the fucking Steel Rangers that were on his tail. He looked behind him. Half Hazard was walking behind him, his mind on whatever it was that his mind was on. It didn't matter too much. He knew Half Hazard enough to know that the colt seldom had a treacherous thought in his head. Even a pony born a slave would still want freedom from time to time. VONNOPS were a quick way to get his mind off of such disturbing thoughts. To his colts side Circuit Breaker laid sprawled out on Cutie. The timber wolf seemed to not care about the filly laying on it's back. The green filly seemed to be exhausted. He couldn't blame her. Their run in with an anti-slaver town followed by an unfortunate run in with some very hostile Steel Rangers had caused him to push the two harder than he had before. He didn't doubt that if it was just her she would have already attempted running away, or just ordering Cutie to eat him. Damn wolf, he bought the thing, but it answered to her and he knew it. Worse she knew he knew it. The only thing keeping her from doing it was Half Hazard somehow the little blue colt had gotten her fancy. Past her was the endless expanse of the wasteland. With its countless treasures and guaranteed dangers. He couldn't see them, but he had no doubt that the Steel Rangers that had attacked the four of them two days outside of Sin were still on their tale. Some where out there. It was such a pity, he had hoped to break Circuit the same way he had broke her little crush, and he still intended on it, but now it was indefinitely postponed. Unless. He stopped. "Half Hazard get me my map." "Yes master Two Bit." Half Hazard started going through his saddle bags looking for the rolled up piece of leather. Two Bit had given him the map so he'd have more room in his bags for the plasma pistols, and gem cartages. "Ah there it is." Circuit Breaker watched the colt shift through his bags with a half lazy half lustful stare. "Here you go Master Two Bit." The map was enveloped in Two Bit's tan aura. It floated over to the brown stallion and unfurled. "Where is it, where is it?" His eyes lit up as he found the town he was looking for. "Good news Circuit Breaker." The filly looked up at the Brown stallion. "You'll get that reward that I promised you sooner rather than later. You'll get to enjoy some fun too Half Hazard." The blue colt's face lit up. Bad news we're going to go a bit further north." "You mean we're going to New Appleloosa again?" Half Hazard whooped. "Circuit Breaker have you ever been there." "Nope." she slide off of Cutie and started walking along side Half Hazard. "They have the greatest store in the whole wide world. Your going to love it." Two Bit smiled as he put his plan together on how he'd finally fix Circiut's stubborn streak. The four of them pushed their way across the wasteland. The sky grew darker gray as the unseen sun set on the horizon, when the four of them finally arrived at New Appleloosa. "Cutie go hunt." Two Bit pointed out to the wasteland. The timber wolf turned and ran out into the dusk. "You two come with me, and stay close." They made there way toward Absolutely Everything. The three of them entered the shop and were greeted by a gray pegasus ghoul. "Hello Ditzy I was hoping to sell some of my things." "The only reason I'd buy from you is to get those poor foals from you. You have two of them now! What's wrong with you!" She wrote down on the chalkboard around her neck. "Come on Ditzy don't get made at me I saved this poor little filly from a slave camp. Besides she doesn't have any problem traveling with me. You two go and find something." Ditzy didn't stop glaring at him. "Come on Ditz don't be mad at me. Come on just trade with me for old times sake." The old ghoul pony sighed, and erased her previous comments. "Fine. What do you have and what do you want?" She but the chalk back down on the counter. "Well I need two shots of Heat, two shots of VONNOPS." Half Hazards ears went up at once. "And of course what ever the two of them want." Ditzy's glare returned to her face. "You're not using hormonal drugs to reprogram foals are you?" "Of course not there for me I swear Ditz." "Why would you need Heat?" "That's not actually for me. Do you really want to talk about this?" He gave her his best I'm completely innocent smile. It wasn't easy lying to Ditzy, but it was necessary to help brake in Circuit Breaker. "Come on Ditzy, you know you can trust little Two Bit." She sighed and put four syringes on the table two labeled as Heat, the other two as VONNOPS. "Hey Ms. Ditzy what's Nightmare Night?" Circuit Breaker pointed two some prewar costumes. That were still in the wrappers. Ditzy's eyes lit up. "You can read?" "Yeah the ponies I lived with before, Two Bit and Half Hazard insisted that I learned how to read." Ditzy glared at Two Bit. "He wasn't lying I'd rather be traveling with him than with the ponies that caught me. Anyways what was Nightmare Night?" "It was a fun night were you dressed up and went house to house and got candy and played fun games." She wrote. "I remember the time I went as a paper bag." Ditzy sighed. "Hey would the two of you like to do some Nightmare Night, games?" "Sure, Half Hazard want to play Nightmare Night games?" "Yeah what are the rules?" After a couple of hours of explaining to the two foals the histories of Nightmare Night, and the history of Equestria in general, the two of them put on their costumes. Circuit Breaker was going a Steel Ranger. She was wearing half of Ditzy's kitchen. Half Hazard was dressed as a Stable pony. He was wearing an authentic Stable suit. The First game that they played was inside Ditzy's shop it was called bobbing for apples. The goal was to stick you head into a bucket of water and try to grab on of the apples in the barrel. After Ditzy lead the two of them out into the town. She took them from house to house. Each pony gave them a little something, and thanked Ditzy for whatever deal she gave them at her store. The game ended with them returning to her house to hear the story of Nightmare Moon. Which Two Bit agreed to narrate. "Back before the war before the six ministry mares were the six ministry mares. Before they were even the Elements of Harmony, they were just regular ponies." Circuit Breaker sat down on the floor leaning her head on Half Hazard's shoulder. Two Bit telling the story more from memory than from Ditzy's chalkboard. "The princess's pupil Twilight came to Ponyville for the annual Summer Sun Celebration. Only when the princess was suppose to arrive she didn't instead Nightmare Moon stood in on her podium, and bested the royal guards, in moments." The two sat in rapt interest, at every word he said. "The six of them headed into the cursed Everfree forest. To save Celestia get the Elements of Harmony and bet Nightmare Moon." "They found the ancient palace of the Two Sisters. After facing the Trials of Nightmare Moon they used the Elements of Harmony and the magic of Friendship and banished Nightmare Moon. Returning her back to Princess Luna and saving Celestia." The colt and filly cheered. "Well Ditzy thanks for the trades. Now we've got to head on out, stay safe Ditz." "You two. And you'd better treat those two good or else." "Relax Ditz. You know me." He lead the two of them out toward an old train cart on the end of town that he had acquired for the night. While the two of them had played Nightmare Night. "Where are we doing Two Bit, aren't we leaving?" Circuit Breaker asked as he lead the two of them into the rented cart. "Nah. I've still got a Nightmare Night treat for the two of you, and its your reward for making me so many caps." He pulled out the four syringes and gave them to the two of them. Half Hazard gladly took the two offered to him and injected them into his blood stream. Circuit Breaker gulped, but if Half Hazard did it then it had to be safe right? Two Bit pulled out a recorder that he had rented. A recording like this was guaranteed to make him back his caps for the cart. Circuit Breaker lay next to Half Hazard still enjoying her after glow. "So Circuit did you enjoy your reward? That Master Two Bit got you?" He asked with a grin. "Yeah." "Yeah, what?" "Yeah, master Two Bit." "Did you have a lot of fun?" "Yeah." She answered with a grin and glazed over eyes as she slowly came down. "Yeah what?" Even now getting her to call him master was a trying task. It wasn't this hard with Half Hazard. "Yeah master." "That's a good filly. Get me a lot of caps and you can have a lot of fun with Half Hazard would you like that?" "Yes." "Yes, what?" "Yes master." "That's a good filly. Now wipe yourself off and go to sleep we've got a long walk tomorrow. I've got a lead that'll make me a lot of caps. You want to help me get those caps right?" She nodded her head as she got a rag. "That's a good filly."
