An 'interactive story' with the Characters from Discovering Friendship explaining things about how their worlds works. Chapters will correspond to questions asked of me and each character. Will also be answering questions from the comments section.
This story is written in the format of Rarity's Fun Facts from Beauty and the Beat

Sorry! Sorry! I'm just rather excited for this. I mean, I've always been a student and never really a teacher except for Rainbow of course aaaand I'm rambling, l-let me start over.
Ahem...Hello there readers! My name as you know is Twilight Sparkle. My friend Rarity presented me and our other friends with this chance to communicate with all of you.
I'm not entirely sure how this device works, but I've been promised it will be explained to me in exchange for my explanations and teachings that I can offer to all of you. I've been told to keep each of these segments to one to three topics at the maximum even though there is so much I would love to talk about.
Perhaps the biggest one I want to discuss is the one closest to me.
MAGIC
Magic is...Such an amazing thing. It can do many fantastic things and of course it does have it's limits...But that is dabbling in forbidden and dangerous territory. Ignoring the dangers, and things you really should not attempt, Magic IS limitless.
The only true limit to Magic is the Pool within each Magian and the skill of each Magian. There are a few key factors here to discuss. Mana, Pools, and Skill.
Mana is all around us. It is a living breathing force of nature that influences almost everything in many different ways. It is not only touched by Magians, but by all races in their own way. The difference with Magians and other races is that Magians can SEE Mana and even pull it within themselves in order to cast spells or to do simple things such as telekinesis. And that brings us to the next point.
Pools. Within each Magian is a pool. Imagine a bowl that you can fill with water. You pour a bit of water out of it at a time and slowly add more when its needed. That is basically the idea of how Magians and Mana work. Each Magian has a different sized pool which allows them to hold varying amounts of Mana.
Certain spells require a larger amount of mana to cast and therefore Magians with the ability to hold more mana often have the ability to cast more complicated spells. This gives some Magians a bit of an unfair advantage over others, but there are some that rise above their lack of Perfect Genetics
And this is where Skill comes in. I was born with a spoon in my mouth, the ability to hold a massive amount of Mana, a thirst to master all avenues of Magic and the Princess herself to teach me all I could ever want to learn. So I am not a great example, despite my skill at magic, I have advantages that others don't.
But there are spells that even I cannot gather enough Mana for. And so skill in casting becomes a necessity. Innovation in magic has allowed for the ability to cast spells in parts, something my father actually discovered in his younger days. While my father's family line is full of Magians with Large Pools, his Pool is surprisingly small, almost like a childs and it has been for his entire life.
But my Father is still a force to be reckoned with in the world of Magic due to his discoveries. The process is simple in theory. With an understanding of what is required in Advanced Spell-casting, one breaks up the spell into connectable parts that match up with how much Mana one can hold.
You don't want to cast a part that requires ALL the Mana you can hold. All Magians hold on to at least a shred of Mana at all times. Draining yourself completely is almost the same as bleeding out...
So the idea is to hold ALMOST as much Mana as possible and use about half of that for the first part of the spell, hold it firm, and regather Mana for the next part. For my father, most spells are broken into about twenty to thirty parts, but he casts them almost as quickly as I can simply gather Mana and lift a book.
He freely shared this technique and ever since it has been taught in Schools across Terra. Sorry, I'm just really proud of him.
In this manner it is possible for any Magian to become skilled enough to cast any type of spell with any amount of Mana. You all might remember a lesson Scootaloo and her friends learned about The Great Pool, and my discussion with Rainbow Dash about how Magians live longer lives.
Those who are greatly intuned with the Mana of the world, as Magians are, are in contact with The Great Pool. You might recall I referred to these Pools as Bowls that hold water, which is why we refer to them as Pools. The Great Pool holds ALL the Mana in the known world.
Yes? How is Mana all around us if its all held in the Great Pool? Excellent Question! Here, let me stand up. Now...where do you think I am standing? Right in front of you, right? Well, you are right, and wrong. I am standing in The Great Pool.
Terra, our home, this world, IS The Great Pool. Or at least a part of it. Think back to the Bowl. Take that Bowl and place a bit of plastic over top. We are standing on top of that bit of Plastic and the Water below us is Mana. Now we poke a few holes in the plastic and heat up the water. It steams and some rises out of those holes and reaches us.
We put ourselves and the bowl in a little bubble and soon the air is full of this steam that cycles around from the clouds, back into the ground and water in a never ending cycle. And so, we are standing within The Great Pool, at the very least, its top layer.
Oh there's so much more I want to discuss, but I think that's all the time I am allowed. Please, if you wish to know anything at all, you can ask any of us and we'll happily answer!

Twilight, do you think with enough mana, you could go to a different dimension where you could meet a different version of yourself. Like a version of that is a Mother, a Changeling, a Vampire, and so on
That's a rather wonderful question, especially given our previous topic. I personally think it would be possible, but a single Magian alone wouldn't be able to accomplish such a feat.
Though there are several Magians working on exploring unknown corners of Magic and of our dimension and others. There are infinite possibilities out there. For every decision each person has made, their other selves did something else in those other realms.
I now know that Vampires exist, so there is a very high chance that somewhere out there I exist as a Vampire. As for being a Mother...who Knows, maybe another version of myself was more social during her time in Celamont.
As for Changeling, I honestly don't know much about them. I've only heard stories, but I have come to understand many stories hold more truth than the truth I have been told. The stories say they are grotesque creatures that latch on to someone like a parasite and feed off of them.
But the stories I heard about vampires said they were evil, hideous, soulless creatures of the Night. Rarity, Vinyl, and Sweetie Belle are some of the sweetest people I have ever met. So maybe I have misunderstood Changelings as well.
And maybe there is a Changeling version of me out there. Though I don't know how it would be possible. Can Changelings be created? Or are they simply born? I need to do some research...
Now I can't help but wonder what other versions of me are like and I feel I have to delve deeper into this. Thank you very much for the question!

Interesting question at the very least. In the last topic I discussed Magic, not Science. Though there is a beautiful mix in both that has to be understood and is difficult to explain on a basic level that everyone can understand. Rares is jus' worried she might hurt me or somethin'. As for the whole couple thing, well, we were out with 'Shy an Dash on this campin' trip an Rarity over here tried to go find civilization so she could use a real bathroom.

Anyway, she didn't really get too far when she stumbled across some Timberwolves. Was weird for em t' be out there in the first place, musta been blown 'bout by a storm or somethin'. They weren't too happy t' see Rares, lemme tell ya. Ah realized a bit after Rarity had taken off that she was only goin' deeper into th' woods, so ah went chasin after her.
And before you all decide to ask the obvious question of "Rarity, aren't you a powerful vampire? Why didn't you save yourself?" well...I may or may not have forgotten to 'eat' before the trip and forgot to pack some 'snacks'. They don't exactly do too well when they are warm and I couldn't put them in the drink cooler...So I was rather weak all during the trip.
Huh, I was actually 'bout t' ask that myself, heh. Anyway, ah found her runnin' fer her life from those things an it was a brutal fight. Timberwolves have amazin' night vision and ah was reactin' on instinct an crushed my flashlight th' moment one of em lunged fer me.
But you still fought them off rather valiantly! Even without being able to see them!

Yes, well. After she came to my rescue and was starting to bleed everywhere I panicked and did my best to stitch her wounds closed. It started to rain soon after and we had to rush to find shelter. In the dark and lost as we were there was no chance of stumbling upon our camp until morning.
So ah asked fer help. We were surrounded by trees for miles, so ah jus' asked if'n any of em could keep us warm fer th' night. Turns out one of em was mostly hollow an let me clean it out for us to huddle up in.
Applejack kept me safe and warm. She gave me her Jacket and held me in her arms for the entirety of the storm and the night...Even when I awoke she was right there, wide awake and keeping an eye out for any more danger

Bird People? Do you mean Skyborn? And its not a 'bird people disease'. I mean, only Skyborn can suffer from it...so maybe it is...
What Scootaloo is trying to say is that She isn't a bird person. Those are actually called Harpies and they live in the beast lands. Skyborn are humans gifted with flight. Harpies are 'bird people'.

Oh right uh. Well the disease is called Mareks Disease. Basically turns a Skyborns Wings to nothin' and tears em apart from the inside out. I don't really know all the fancy science stuff behind it, but Twilight's magic and that potion keep it held back. So, no, using magic doesn't have a risk of bringing it back. I still HAVE Mareks disease, it's just sort of...like someone pushed the pause button in a game and its stopped hurting me. Does that make sense?

Well Posionmaster1243, I'm not exactly undead. Though, I guess I'm not technically alive either...I mean, I breath, and bleed, and need to eat. But I could go without, but who WOULD?! There's so many great things to eat! So much air to breath! And uh, well, let's just ignore that other one...heh...
The best way to really explain it is to just kind of break down what I am in the simplest way. Like I said, I breath air, I bleed normal blood, and I need food. I can't starve to death, but I'll be weak without food. I can't bleed out, but if I lose enough blood I will pass out. I've never passed out from lack of air though. I can hold my breath for a really really REAAAAALLLLLY long time!
I think Twilight said I was a 'Creature of Chaos' or something like that. Hm, how do I explain it?
OH! Okay, take this cookie jar, right? Now, a living person is like this cookie jar, all full of cookies, don't ask, just lemme finish. Now, as you get older, you lose cookies until eventually, you run out of cookies and you're not alive anymore.
When I was born, I didn't have any cookies in my jar. I was born as an empty cookie jar...And instead of being filled up with Cookies, I was filled up with Chaos. No one really understands how Chaos works, but because Chaos doesn't work like cookies, I haven't lost any, even though I've gotten older.
I have never really tested just how far to the edge I can go. The furthest I've ever gone was the time I was shot in the head and the time I snapped my neck...I'd love to know, but at the same time, it's really risky.
OH! And another thing! Undead zombie people have their flesh falling off because they are rotting bodies. And look at me! No rotting flesh! I even have a bit of pudge, hehe. They also smell really bad and fall apart in water and I LOVE baths! Especially bubble baths!

Did you really have a crush on Rarity when you first saw her, or was that part of your cover?
As some of you know, I was good friends with Rarity's father Valiant. In his Will he left his children in my care. Not that they all know it, but I'm technically their God Father. So, yes, having a crush on Rarity was to be my cover so that I could keep a close eye on her without drawing too much unneeded attention to myself.
Heh, she has grown up to be a beautiful woman though. Keep in mind, I watched her grow up. To me, she'll always be that little snippy vampire that always had something to say whenever Vinyl went home. She's much more mature now, but she's...a bit too young for me, and not exactly my type either.
And on top of all of that she is dating Applejack and I'd be an idiot to get between the two of them. Those two...Well, I won't reveal secrets they themselves don't even know.

I remember Vinyl mentioning something about the blood of someone you love being much more.... invigorating? Strengthening? Than regular blood from others... is that true? Does Applejacks blood give you more power than others? Also how exactly does that work?
And another question for you darling: I understand how you don't want to be a fighter and how uncouth it is for such a fashion forward woman like yourself, but don't you think training with Vinyl might be a good idea? Especially if you had Applejack there with you?
It could be a good way for you to learn more and become much stronger, plus the two of you could train together and find a cohesion between the two of you. And while I understand that a lady doesn't fight, and being saved is always nice, I can't imagine how you would feel darling if something were to happen to Applejack and you couldn't do anything to stop it... no offense, Applejack. You are very capable in your own rights, but I feel the two of you together would be an unstoppable duo, and you should encourage Rarity to be as strong and beautiful as she can be!

From what ah know 'bout it, it ain't so much t' fuss over.
Well, yes but there are a few points to be made Darling. First and foremost, you are correct. The blood of a loved one does provide a vampire with more strength than that of blood forcefully taken. On another note, Fresh blood is far more invigorating than donated and packaged blood. I've heard word that there's work being done on Synthetic blood as well to ease the load on donors.
As for how does it all work. Well, Applejack is a rather powerful Gaian, her family line borne of Terra herself. When a vampire feeds they gain a bit of who and what that person is. You'll recall that after the little incident between Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo in the hospital that she took off rather quickly.
This is because she fed from a very quick Skyborn and was gifted a bit of her speed in the process. In that same sense, I am gifted Applejacks almost godlike strength for a short time. This of course is amplified by our relation to one another and once more because the blood is given freely.
So every time ya'll git a nibble o' me ya'll become as strong as me huh? Ah knew it made ya stronger, jus' didn't know it made ya THAT strong.
Power isn't everything Darling...
Is this 'bout that change thing again?
Yes...And it is the reason I do not want to be a Fighter. Just because I am a lady doesn't mean I do not have to get my hands dirty. Everyone should know how to protect themselves in some manner. But it is different with me...What if I were to lose control? What if I slipped back into that madness?
And sure, training with Vinyl is my best option...having Applejack by my side helps quite a bit, but that only worries me more. If I finish this training and still lose control...Well, I'd just be an even more powerful monster than I am now.
And before you can get a chance to argue Darling, I want you to understand...I still plan on going through with all of this. For the sheer fact that it must be done. Whether I like it or not, I've been picked to defend our home and I will not stand idly by while my friends and loved ones risk everything.

What makes Gilda different than a Skyborn
Gilda is a Griffanion. Sort of an in-between of Beastkin and Human. Skyborn like me can fly, manipulate weather and even conduct electricity. The last one is a bit of a neat trick that not everyone can pull off, super important for Weather duty though.
But Griffanion's are different. They can transform like Beastkin, not entirely though. Spike can go full on giant fire breathing lizard mode, while G can only shift a pair of wings and claws. Griffanion's can walk on clouds like Skyborn, but they can't control weather like us.
Griffanion's are also gluttons for war and combat. Most of them dedicate their entire lives to fighting. Hell there are more Griffanion's in the Flight Academy than Skyborn, I dunno how many more, but at least double. Course, not every Skyborn goes into the Academy
Gilda isn't any different than the rest of them. Sure, she gave me the push I needed, but I can bet she was just trying to groom another perfect soldier.

Twilight, why does your world have more advanced technology than other worlds? Is Magic and Science the same thing?
Well, I can't speak for other worlds, I haven't had the chance to really explore any beyond what little I have learned from all of you and this device. And while Science and Magic are not exactly the same thing, we can't have either without the other.
Furthering our understanding of Science helps us to better understand the world around us, which helps us to better understand Magic. Advances in Magic also help boost advances in Science. Combining the two leads us to many wonderful things.
A good example would be Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash. A combination of powerful magic and advanced science makes it possible for them to survive a life threatening disease. The two together are what have made this Beta Cure possible.
While I am here there's a few other questions I would like to take care of, namely
Twilight, how is the research into other dimensions coming along?
Sadly not so well. There are scientists already hard at work uncovering the secrets of other realities and their research is off limits to me. And before anyone asks, no, I will not pull the 'I am Celestia's Prized Pupil' card to obtain that research from them. It wouldn't be fair to all the work they have put in to it.
When they are ready to share their findings, they will, and I'll look into things on my end as well. And yes, I used that card to get Rainbows mothers notes, but that is research no one else is looking into, research of a woman who lost herself and research that was left to gather dust. It was not stolen from someone, but brought back to light in order to improve upon it.
There is also a question here for Fluttershy which...oddly enough she left me a note about moments before the question arrived.
I have a question for Fluttershy, sorry if this seems a bit out there. I asked in a previous question about different dimensions. Does being a Chaotician make it easier to look, or does it not matter?
Her note reads
"I apologize for not being there in person to answer your question, but thank you for asking! I try my best to avoid using Chaos, but with it being what it is, I can't exactly avoid it forever. There are times I catch glimpses of things I would rather not see.
And so, it isn't that it makes it easier, its that I have no choice. As for why I am not there in person, that machine makes it possible for anyone to peer into your dimension for however long they are around it. If I sit in front of it, it forces me to focus in on your dimension and gives me a terrible head ache. Sorry again"

Celestia, if Pinkie is descended from you, does that make her royalty or some form of nobility?
As a matter of fact, yes. Pinkie is my Great Grandaughter, down a long line, but still of my blood and that does make her Royalty. She seemed happy to find out but I wonder if she would care for any titles...I have not asked her and do not think I can. She leads a wonderful life in Eraville with her friends. I see no reason to drag her from that.
I'm sure she would hate all the politics and struggle that comes with being Royalty, though knowing her she would try to solve all of the nobles problems with parties.
I apologize, I seem to have answered that rather quickly. When one has to deal with hundreds of the nobility you learn to be short, sweet, and to the point, less you waste time. But there is another question here that peaks my interest.
What were the original titans/whatever created the races like?
This...is a difficult question to answer. While I am much much older than one might think, I never saw any of the Titans face to face. That is not to say I have not met any of them.
Chronos played his part in the war that begot the Elements of Harmony, but I believe that was for his own interests for the future. He is that 'Lord' of Time after all. To him, the War was just a footnote in history, part of a much greater plan.
I suppose I should explain the titans first...
Chronos. Titan of Time, who gives us the passing of time, and honestly not much else. Sorry...
Terra. Titan of Life, who cherished and protected the Gaian's, her children.
Brigid. Titan of the Sky. She is considered more of a Goddess than a titan, but with Terra's help she created her children, the Avaros, or Skyborn as they prefer. Of course Chronos had his hand in some of all of this, but I'm to understand that children read this so I won't go into further detail.
Agni. Titan of Fire. He, Terra, and Brigid formed the world, and Chronos provided the passing of time, which allows things to grow, age, die, and be born.
These are the Four Great Titans. There are other, lesser known entities, but these four are the ones who crafted us and our world.
You might notice, I never mentioned a Creator of the Magians. That is because they are not borne of the Titans. Magians are of The Great Pool, of Magic itself, a living breathing creature all its own. One could consider Magic a Titan, or even a god.
As Terra, our world, named for the Titan of Life who without none of us would exist, began to grow, so did the Magicks of our realm. And from these Magicks the Magians were born. They began as a mystery, finding they could see Mana as it flowed through the world. They spoke to it and it spoke back, granting them the ability to channel Mana.
But they did so very differently than we do today. Though, that is an explanation for another time.
From my understanding those beings are 'Pokemon' and share no resemblance with the Titans.

The Titan's Bellow
Ya'll might remember Dash's little secret number, that Sonic Rainboom thingamiajigger, somethin' only a Skyborn can do an how she's th' only one that can live through th' darned thing.
Well, my version of that is th' Titan's Bellow. Before th' forming o' our world, th' Titan's waged war against one another. More power than ya'll could possibly imagine flew this way an that, but one of the end all be all techniques was the Bellow. A roar that shattered th' air around it and silenced all else.
As a Gaian an true child of Terra, ah can do th' same. It requires a good amount of my full power though. An ah'll let ya'll in on a little secret.

"So to answer your question without losing her cool, no, Trixie and Twilight Sparkle are not related. Trixie was not blessed with the blood of nobility, nor of Starswirl. Trixie's only real blessing in this world is Mistress Luna,"

Perhaps I did overreact a little...But you don't know Vinyl like I do and you don't know what The Change is like for a young girl. I've also come to realize since then that Vinyl had altered my memories to hide her being a part of the Knights and to protect me.
In my mind, in those false memories, Vinyl was a rather horrible sister and my own Change was rather horrible...It's strange. I can remember those false memories but my real memories are there now too. I honestly can't say how I would react now that I know the truth.

Celestia, I know you're better now, but when is it okay in ANY universe to kill a child?
You seem to misunderstand me. The world is all about perspective. You all have the power of knowing all sides of the story, that are revealed through those pages anyway. But while I am compared to a God I am far from all knowing, nor am I all seeing.
My knowledge of this child was and is limited. All I am aware of is that this crea...Child...is Nightmare Moon reborn. A creature I failed to stop once before. My inability to take action and to strike down that monster before led to the pain and suffering of hundreds of innocent people.
You cannot fathom how many I have seen die because I hesitated, how many I have seen take the action I could not and fail because they were outclassed by another who had fought wars in my place.
For far too long I have let others take the fall for me. For too long others have fought my battles.
I was convinced that were I finally to take action, to step forth and protect those who have fought so hard in my name, that I could finally escape the curse brought on by my inaction.

"You wish to know what Trixie is capable of?!" the woman smirked as mana danced around her, she cried out as her teacher smacked the back of her head with a practice blade.
"We do not show off our power," Luna spoke softly.
"m-My apologies mistress," Trixie murmured.
"Good, now, again my Apprentice," Luna ordered gently. Trixie let out a soft sigh, shifting her balance on the small platform. Bits of lava bubbled up at the bottom of the pit. Her platform teetered slightly on top of the giant spike, several other platforms around her.
Luna balanced with relative ease on a platform beside her, Tonfa in one hand, practice blade in the other. Trixie took a slow breath in, flickering out of view and appearing with a sweep at Luna's leg, the Celestian rolling in the air and bringing the Tonfa down hard into her apprentice, the Magian throwing up her arm.
A barrier flickered into life at the moment of impact, deflecting the Tonfa and giving Trixie a short opening. The Magian let out the breath she had been holding, throwing her palm forward and letting her mana spark around her arm, the air exploding in front of her and throwing Luna across the platforms.
The Celestian landed without a sound and let out a sigh.
"You seem to be getting slower, perhaps we should end today's lesson early,"
"Trixie was distracted!" the Magian argued.
Luna glanced around at the pit they stood in.
"By what, pray tell?" Luna questioned. Trixie smirked as she appeared before Luna, gently kissing her cheek.
"By your beauty, Mistress," she winked. Luna stiffened for a moment, barely managing to raise her sword to catch Trixie's leg.
"A distraction, well played," Luna smiled.
"Trixie thought you would appreciate it Mistress," Trixie giggled.
"Very well, let us continue!"

Long ago, in an Age where Celestian's watched over the world in the shadows, magic was a far different thing than it is today. A person's name gives power, even today, and that power could be used against someone in the wrong hands.
It was a time of constant war. The great mages had only one choice. They would have to mask themselves, bind their True Names in order to survive.
Their allies were warned and soon it became commonplace for all races to hide their True Names.
Times have changed, but some of those False Names became handles of Family Lines, masking their True Names. While a True Name doesn't hold nearly the amount of power it once did, it is still something people are paranoid about.
Sort of like a superstition if that makes sense.

It's a rather complicated equation, still being decoded by the finest minds across Terra. I've only had the chance to glimpse upon a fraction of it but we've come a long way.
Life's about whatever you make it about. The answer to everything? It's you. Me. Everyone. We're the answer. We asks the questions and we find the answers and then we become those answers.

Its a bit complicated to really explain. I've ALWAYS had all of those powers and abilities. As a child, my body isn't developed enough to cast most of my brand of magic. It would most likely cause my death and Burn me.
As of right now, all of those abilities are basically sealed away until I need them. I have the keys to the seal and can open it any time I wish...

Dear Vinyl Scratch: Do you or have you thought of making a Bass Cannon?
There is a Bass Canon. We call it BaseOne and I made mention of it before. Its still in development but we do have a prototype. Its been fired a few times and Vinyl seems to love it to death.
It's a bit harsh to be around though. Imagine a gun firing a massive ring of sound echoing all around you. Its enough to cause eardrums to explode. Quite deadly and dangerous to everyone in the area.
As you can imagine, such a weapon has to be used carefully or we'll cause innocent casualties.

Sweetie Belle's hidden potential
You all might remember me talkin' about my mom's journal and the spells she cast on herself to make her immune to all sorts of vampire bullshit, right?
Remember how I said that shit almost killed me?
Think about it...For a short while, that magic was tearing me apart, peeling away what I am little by little.
Rarity was born after mom had reworked those spells, meaning she lost nothing of herself, making her stronger than me. At least if she trains like I do. Even without that training she can keep up with me.
And then there is Sweetie Belle
After Rarity was born my mother had the time to really work out the kinks of her spells. Meaning Sweetie Belle is a perfect combination of my mom and dad without any magical interference.
She is the Perfect Filigree...

Sunset Shimmer. She was an interesting one. Rather talented in her own right, but too caught up in her own abilities to see the bigger picture. She focused on herself and naught else. In some circumstances, this is a good thing.
We should always seek to better ourselves. But she was only determined to be the best so she could look down upon everyone else. She only wanted power to hold herself over others. I thought to teach her differently and offered her a few lessons.
She was always hungry to learn more, but I refused. Unless she could turn her attitude around, she would learn nothing more from me. It was several days later that she had decided to leave my tutelage completely, as well as my School.
Oddly enough she failed the first entrance exam. It wasn't due to grades obviously. If I had looked sooner into the reason I might've second guessed allowing her to learn anything at all.
Though, everyone deserves a second chance...Everyone...
Hello there. You all might not know me, but I know a bit about you. My understanding is that you all know me as Magic, the Entity assisting Twilight Sparkle. I'm not a fan of giving away secrets, but I did want the chance to discuss something about myself and my siblings.
The Elements of Harmony
As you've witnessed, the Elements grant the Bearer's Magical weaponry and armor intended to defend the realm from threats beyond the capability of normal power.
Twilight Sparkle is granted a Staff
Rarity Filigree is granted a Claymore
Rainbow Dash is granted a pair of Orbs
Pinkie Pie is granted a pair of Broadswords
Applejack Apple is granted a lasso
Fluttershy [REDACTED] is granted a Rapier
Let us start with my personal favorite.
Pinkie Pie. Each of these weapons are gifts from the spirits of each Element. Laughter is a bit of a wildcard and always has been, but I like the decision to Gift Pinkie Pie a pair of Broadswords.
Dual Broadswords are intended to be wielded as one weapon, two pieces of a single blade that flow as an extension of oneself. I like to think they represent the Duality of their Bearer. While the Spirit's provide the Gift, it is inspired by the Bearer; An important thing to keep in mind.
Next, let us jump to a more obscure one.
Fluttershy. She is blessed with a Rapier, though the first time she Invoked Kindness, it was a Short-sword. Her true weapon, I believe, is the Short-sword. A smaller blade such as this represents someone who is more Humane or, for lack of a better term, Kind. Not to say someone who wields a giant axe is a bloodthirsty murderer. I simply mean to say that given the chance, she would not draw her weapon and would only fight in self-defense or the defense of others with intent to disarm rather than harm.
Though, why the Rapier? It was the blade she drew against her Father. Poised. Beautiful. Groomed. Stable. The Rapier is a beautiful blade that is a bit of a flashy weapon to wield. It's flashiness often hides is unique strength and hidden power.

Rarity Filigree. I love her Claymore. It is truly a weapon unique to her. You all might have noticed her sister could not lift the blade. This is not due to a lack of strength, but more-so to the fact that the weapon belongs to Rarity and no one else.
The blade is a testament to her deep inner strength and her conviction to do what must be done, no matter the weight of the burden. No matter what it takes, what she must give, she will succeed. Generosity was always a selfless one.
Let's see. Why not one close to home?
Twilight Sparkle. At times her weapon is an ethereal staff. And occasionally, a spear. The two weapons are one and the same, simply a shifting in its use. When flowing through a Catalyst, Magic is amplified, far more powerful than casting bare handed. One could cast such spells bare handed, but the Catalyst acts as a stabilizer and even holds a portion of mana, making the spell casting safer while boosting the casters own ability.
But why a spear? Why not focus solely on casting? Because to Wield magic in Protection of the realm is more than to cast spells. It is to fight. To defend. The Spear leads the others into the fray, being the first to strike and giving the others room to move in. Twilight is more than a simple mage you know. I believe your people would classify her as a Battle Magus. We've seen her fight with her fists before. In her battle with Trixie; her fight with Scythe; and in the battle with Discord, she used her Spear to win the day.
It is a weapon that I feel suits her style. Allowing her to spread her senses and self while focusing on her friends.
Moving on
Applejack Apple. The Lasso is a natural tool in her arsenal. Suited to her work style and to her style of combat. Honesty seeks out what is deep in the heart, close to home. The Lasso is strong, unbreakable, reliable. All the things Applejack represents. That one is more special than she knows...Though I'm personally not allowed to spoil that...
Rainbow Dash. The Pair of orbs around her shift into weapons and shields as needed and have since been complimented by the bolts of a Storm Mason. One could say the Bolts were a gift from Discord himself, all things considered. But the Spheres are Loyalties way of watching after her friends but her own back as well. They are autonomous, reacting as needed so long as the Bearer is aware and focused. I feel Rainbow is not quite aware of this yet. Loyalty is a gifted one, but he was always a bit of a lazy one...Hopefully he gets things in gear...
Each Bearer and each Element are unique in their own way. My Siblings and I gave up everything for these Relics and the power they bestow on those who earn our favor. But there is only so much we can do on our own. It is up to each Bearer to make proper use of our gifts and to further understand their own power.
