Sonata looked at the calendar on her phone, looking for something specifically. A large smile formed on her face when she found what she was looking for, how soon Valentine's Day was. She jumped off her bed and ran downstairs, joining the two other sirens in the kitchen.

"Guys! Valentine's Day is this week!" she said with glee.

"So?" Aria responded.

She looked back and forth at the two other girls. "Aren't either of you excited?"

"Why should we?" Aria asked her back.

"Because it's the day of love, the day where couples express their love for each other by doing special stuff."

"It's a pointless holiday," Aria retorted to her.

"What? How could you say that?" Sonata asked.

"It's just a pointless day to remind everyone that hey, you have someone special, do something with them," Aria stated.

Sonata looked over at the leader of the three. "What about you Adagio?"

"I could care less about the holiday, but if you want to enjoy it, go ahead, I won't stop you," she said.

Sonata then walked away from the two and headed for her room.

"Why is she so excited for Valentine's Day?" Aria asked.

"I don't know, maybe she likes someone," Adagio replied back.

"Oh please, Sonata in love with someone."

"You never know with her."

"Who would ever want to date that airhead?"

Adagio shrugged her shoulders and went back to what she was doing. Sonata was secretly listening to the two from around the corner. After hearing what they had to say, she walked up to her room. Once inside, she pulled a picture from off her shelf to look at. It was a picture of her and Aria at a amusement park, Sonata was giving her friend a hug while Aria crossed her arms and looked at the camera. Sonata smiled at the picture and the memories, but soon came back to the present day. Her thoughts went back to what Aria had said.

"Who would want to date me?" she asked herself. She sat down on her bed, still holding the picture. "I wish you would," Sonata said as she looked at Aria in the picture. Her thoughts were interrupted by her phone going off. She put down the picture and picked up the phone, answering it. "Hello."

"Hey Sonata, it's Sunset," the voice said from over the phone.

"Hi Sunset! How are you?"

"Doing good. Hey, I have some spare time this evening, and I was wondering if you and the others would want to go get something to eat?"

"Sounds great!" Sonata peered over at the picture next to her. "But, do you think maybe just us two could go?"

"Why?"

"There's something, I want you to help me with."

"Ok? Where would you like to go?"

"The taco restaurant! If that's ok."

"Yeah that's fine, kinda silly for me to ask that question. I'll meet you there at six."

"Alright, bye Sunset."

"Bye." And with that, Sonata hung up. She patiently waited for the time to come, and when it did, she skipped downstairs and towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Adagio asked from behind, just before Sonata could leave.

"Oh me, I'm just going to meet Sunset at that awesome taco place," she replied, wanting to get out the door.

"She invited just you?"

"She wants to try spending time with us individually, seeing who likes to do what," Sonata said to her, hoping it would satisfy the curious girl.

"Alright, just don't eat to much this time. I don't want you getting sick again."

"I won't, bye Adagio," she said, quickly walking out the door. She walked with haste towards the restaurant, and when she got there, she found Sunset already in a booth waiting. "Hi Sunset!"

"Hey Sonata, glad you could make it," Sunset said with a smile as the other girl sat down. They both ordered their food and drinks. They chatted with each other until their food arrived. Sunset marveled at just how many tacos Sonata ordered. "Are you sure you should eat that much?"

"I know my limit Sunset, I figured it out last time," the blue siren stated, taking a bite out of her taco.

"Ok, if you say so," Sunset said, taking a bite out her own taco. "So, what do you need my help with?"

Sonata swallowed her food and looked out the window. "You know that Valentine's Day is this week right?"

"Yes, are you planning to do something for it?"

"I want to do something for it, but I don't know how."

"What do you want to do, tell someone you love them," Sunset joked with her.

Sonata blushed a little before responding. "Yes."

Sunset was surprised at her response. "Really? Your actually in love with someone?" Sonata nodded her head, which made Sunset prompt the next question. "Who?"

Sonata took a bite out of her taco, swallowed, then took a breath. "Aria."

Sunset chocked on her food at her answer. She swallowed it down and looked at the girl. "Aria?"

Sonata nodded her head. "I...I love her, and I want to tell her. It's just, Aria has never loved anyone, and I don't know if she wants to. I want to tell her just how much I care about her, but I don't know how."

Sunset took a drink and pondered what she said. "You truly love her?" she asked, which the blue girl nodded to. "And you want my help?" Sonata nodded again. "I might have a idea."

"For realzies?"

"Yeah, it just might work. What's Aria's favorite food?"

"Steak."

"Alright. Here's my idea," she said as she leaned forward. Sonata listened carefully to every little detail.

"You really think it will work?" Sonata asked with hope once Sunset was done explaining.

"I have faith it will," Sunset answered with a smile. The two finished eating, and with a goodbye Sonata left for her house.

The day had arrived, and Sonata was nervous. Sunset had Adagio and Aria out of the house for the day so she could prepare. Sunset had Adagio stay with her, but Aria was due home any minute. When the purple girl entered the house, she smelled something, something good. She followed the scent into the dinning room, and found the table decorated with a black table cloth, and lit by candle light. She also noticed there was two spots set on the table.

"What is this?" she asked, walking around the table.

"Hi Aria," Sonata said from behind. The other siren turned around to see her.

"Sonata, what's going on?"

"I made something special for you, Steak and mashed potatoes, your favorite. I'll bring it out to you," she said before exiting back into the kitchen.

Aria sat down at the table confused. She watched Sonata bring out the food and set it in front of her. Aria looked at it quizzically before cutting off a piece and trying it. Her eyes went wide at how great it tasted. She looked over at Sonata, who was carefully cutting her steak. She didn't even know Sonata could cook, much less cook this good. She was also impressed at how calm Sonata was. Usually when she ate steak she would be grunting and tearing at it, but this time she calmly cut off small pieces and ate them quietly.

"Sonata, what's this about?" Aria finally asked.

"I just wanted to do something special for you," she replied.

Aria didn't believe her, she knew there was something more to this. She thought back on the week to remember any clues to see what's up. She couldn't really think of anything. 'She hasn't really done much this week, or really bothered us this week either. Except for on Monday when she brought up-' Aria's thoughts stopped at her realization. She glanced over at the calendar on the wall, and saw that Valentine's Day was today. Her heart beat twice as much when she started putting the pieces together. 'That's why she brought it up, this is what she's been planning all week. This is why she asked me,' she looked over at her, 'if I was excited.' She felt a ping of pain on her heart when she remembered how she put down the day. 'She wanted to do something special, something special for me.'

The two continued eating in silence. Sonata looked calm on the outside, but on the inside she was panicking. 'I hope the foods good! I tried really really hard, I hope she likes! I wonder if she knows by now! If so, how does she feel!' she thought to herself. "How's the steak?"

"It's good, you did a really good job on it," Aria responded.

"I'm glad to here that," she said with a smile. 'YES! She likes it!' she yelled in her mind. The two finished eating, just in time for the second part of the plan. Sonata got up and motioned towards Aria to follow her, which she did. Sonata led her out to the balcony and over to the railing. "Wait here, I'll be right back," she said before walking away.

Aria stood and looked at the view. The sun was starting to set, reflecting in the lake that was close to their house. A nice breeze flew in the air, and the usual noises of the town close to them were gone tonight. She leaned on the railing and thought about Sonata. Aria never considered having any romance in her life. Back in Equestria, they were to busy controlling ponies to really do anything else. And when they came here, Aria was only disgusted by humans. Even if she was looking for someone, Sonata would've never been a option, until now. Aria thought about how she treated Sonata like crap sometimes, but yet the blue girl was always by her side. Sure they argued, but everyone does that. But she still always came to her, whether it was to talk to someone or just not be alone. Her stone heart began to crack as she thought harder on it. If she was to spend the rest of her life with someone, she would be perfect for it.

Sonata came back out with a single purple rose in her hands. She took a breath before stepping forward. "Aria?" she said, and the purple girl turned to her voice. "I...want to tell you...that I love you. I know we've had our differences, but I care a lot about you. And I got this for you," she said, extending her hand to give her the rose.

Aria took the rose in her hand, carefully holding it. Her stone heart shattered as she looked at the gift Sonata had given her. Tears grew in her eyes as she thought about what she said. She looked back up at the Sonata and gave her a tight hug. "Sonata, I love you too," she said with a few tears escaping her eyes.

Sonata's heart pinged as she hugged back. "You do?"

"Yes, I do. I've never stopped to realize just how important you are to me. I've treated you like dirt, but you've always come back to me. I know now that I wouldn't be complete without you," she responded in the hug. When the two parted, they looked at each other with smiling faces. Aria leaned down and kissed Sonata, making them both blush. Sonata responded by carefully putting her arms around her. "I love you, you little airhead," she said when they parted.

"I love you, you big grump." The two then kissed each other again.

Adagio and Sunset were walking back to the house when the siren noticed the two on the balcony. She gave a sigh as Sunset noticed too.

"I see my plan was a success," Sunset said with a smile, making Adagio turn to her.

"You orchestrated this?"

"I gave Sonata the idea to come out and tell her how she felt, and I'm glad to see that it worked."

Adagio crossed her arms. "Now I have to deal with those two as a couple."

Sunset rubbed her arm before speaking, "You don't have to do it alone."

Adagio turned to the Sunset just as she was pulling something out of the backpack she was caring. She pulled out a box of chocolates and handed them to her.

"Adagio, will you be my valentine?" Sunset asked.

Adagio excepted the box and looked at it. A smile formed on her face as she thought about her answer. "Yes Sunset, I'll be your valentine. And I'll also be more than that," she said as she gave Sunset a kiss on the cheek. Sunset blushed as the two of them interlocked hands and walked towards the house.
