> Miraculous: Tales of Daydream and Midnight > by Daydreamfire > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Origins part 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Many years ago, magical jewels bestowing extraordinary powers were created. This were the miraculous. Throughout history, heroes have used this jewels for the good of the pony race. Two these miraculous are more powerful then the others. The earrings of the sun, witch provide the power of creation and the ring of the moon, witch grants the power of destruction. According to legend, whoever controls both jewels at the same time has absolute power," a small bug-pony explained to a shadow figure. The shadow was looking at a brooch with a picture of a mare. He shut it and interrupted the small pony. "I want that absolute power, Thorax. I must have those other miraculous," the shadow unicorn insisted. But no pony knows where those miraculous are," Thorax added, hoping the shadow wasn't going to do something bad. Thorax was green with purple insect wings, orange horns, pink eyes and a horn. "I found you though, my little Thorax. My miraculous... remind me of it's powers again," the shadow commanded. "The shapeshifter brooch allows you to give others superpowers and make that pony your devoted follower," Thorax repeated, in his soft, quiet voice. "And when it comes to luring superheroes, what could be better than creating super villains," the shadow laughed, in his booming, angry voice. "But master, the miraculous must not be used for evil proposes," Thorax protested against his master's decision. "I must have this absolute power! Your miraculous is in my control, I am your master now! You must obey me!" the shadow roared, stamping his hoof on the ground, make the white butterflies rise into the air. Thorax was scared then he hung his head. "Yes master," he sighed in defeat. The shadow put on the brooch then yelled at the small pony, "Thorax, umbra power rise!" The butterflies surrounded him and Thorax reluctantly flew into the brooch. The butterflies where pushed back by the light covering the pony. The pony had dark grey fur you could only see on his horn and ears and a black mane with flecks of red. He wore a green mask that covered all of his face witch connected to a black suit that covered him from his neck down to his hoofs. His eyes were a blank red, his horn had holes in it and his green cape was rotting away. He laughed evilly (I rolled my eyes) and he announced, "From this day forth, I am Chrysalis!" He started cackling again as he looked out of the butterfly shaped window. * * * Faust was sleeping then she was suddenly woken up. She flew out of her match box bed and out of an old record player and yelled, "Master, master!" Zecora was treating an ill patient who was lying down before she was interrupted. The patient looked up to see what was happening. Zecora smiled. "For this remedy to work I must say master. It will make time fly much faster," Zecora rhymed, trying not to arouse suspicion. "I'm afraid this session must come to an end, but I hope to see you next weekend," Zecora hurried and pushed the stallion out of the room and slammed the door. "Master, the shadow miraculous, I felt its aura," Faust informed her master. Faust was the same size as Thorax with white fur, a red mane, teal eyes, a quill for a cutie mark, a horn and wings too. "I thought it was forever lost, is there any more you know, Faust?" Zecora queried, now masked with confusion and wonder. Zecora was a zebra covered in jewellery, with blue eyes, a spiral cutie mark and a mohawk hairstyle. "It was a negative aura, master. I fear the miraculous may have gotten into the hoofs of a dark power," Faust stated, alarming Zecora. "We must find Thorax and the miraculous or the consequences could be disastrous," Zecora exclaimed, lifting up her hoof witch had a bracelet with the same cutie mark symbol as Faust. "Time to transform, hero form," Zecora called, doing strange movements and falling over. "Please master, be reasonable, you're only-," Faust begged but Zecora cut in. "I'm still young, I'm only 181," the zebra revealed. She walked over to the old record player. "But you're right Faust, I can't do this by myself," she paused as she stopped at the musical device. "You and I will need some help." She pressed a few buttons and the top half slid off revealing a box. * * * At the Dash's bakery, Windy Whistles was calling her lazy daughter. "Rainbow Dash, your alarm has been on for fifteen minutes. You don't want to be late on the first day of school," Windy sang happy and and chipper, the opposite of her daughter, Rainbow Dash who was completely covered in blankets and was half dead. Rainbow Dash was a tomboy pegasus with a messy mane and as her name said she had a rainbow mane, magenta eyes, cyan fur and a tri-color cutie mark. "I'm comin' just give me a sec," she grumbled and then her head hit the pillow. A few minutes later, Dash slowly flew down the stairs and into the kitchen. She sat down at the table and opened a carton of milk. "I bet you anything Trixie will be in my class," Dash complained as she poured the milk in a bowl and then chocolate powder. "Really, four years in a row, is that even possible?" Windy wondered. "Definitely. Lucky me," Dash muttered sarcastically. "Don't say that. It's the start of a new year-I'm sure everything will be just fine," Windy smiled and Dash nodded to her. Dash put down the chocolate powder, witch nudged the fruit bowl, causing an orange to fall of the top, then it rolled up a knife over the butter, next it went over a teaspoon, flinging a sugar cube across the table, knocking over the chocolate powder box and finally the orange hit the milk carton, spilling it on the floor.Dash groaned and Windy gave her a table cloth and smiled at her daughter who smiled back. A bit later, Bow Hothoof gave her a box of macrons. "Dad, these are awesome. My class will love them. You're the best," Dash praised, hugging her father almost dropping the box. "No, we're the best. Thanks do your designs," Bow Hothoof replied, showing her the logo make Dash blush. Only a few people knew she loved art and drawing. "I better go, bye," Dash rushed, flying out the door and almost bumping into a pony. She was just about to take off but then she saw a zebra crossing the road and a car coming. Dash darted towards the zebra and pulled her onto the path, tripping in the process. "Thank you for your assistance young mare," the zebra thanked as Dash got up she took one of the broken macrons and tasted it. "Those are world class goods you've got there," the zebra beamed as did Dash until they heard a faint bell. "Oh no, I'm gonna be late, thank you ma'am," Dash finished and she dashed to the school. Zecora looked at a small box with a gold design and then at the mare. * * * Dash flew right through the door as fast as she could. She stumbled in through the door and the teacher Cheerilee glanced at her then back to the class. "Cheese sandwich, how about you sit in the front row this year," Cheerilee suggested to a stallion in the back row. Dash sat down and as soon as she did a blue hoof slammed down on her desk. Dash looked up and saw Trixie with Moondancer standing behind her. "Rainbow Crash," Trixie teased. Trixie was a unicorn had blue fur, a little blue mane, pink eyes and a magic wand cutie mark. "Three seconds, new record," Rainbow muttered under her breath and Trixie continued. "That is Trixie's seat," Trixie declared in third pony for some annoying reason. "Trixie, this was always my seat," Rainbow stated, rolling her eyes at Trixie's typical behavior. "New school year new seats," Moondancer piped up as Trixie's sidekick. "You should go and sit beside that new girl over there," Trixie pointed at a earth pony with pink hair, a light pink mane, blue eyes and two blue and one yellow balloon for a cutie mark, reading a comic book. "Listen, Soarin is arriving today and since that is going to be his seat, this is going to be Trixie's seat, get it?" she addressed, once again, slamming her hoof down. "Eh, who's Soarin?" Dash asked, then Trixie and Moondancer started laughing at her. "Can you believe she doesn't know who Soarin is? What rock have you been living under?" Trixie sneered, still laughing at Dash. "He's only a famous model," Moondancer squealed in excitement. "And Trixie is his best friend. He adores the great and powerful Trixie. Now, go on, move," Trixie snapped. Dash rolled her eyes and was about to reply but the pink pony came over. "Hey, who elected you queen of seats?" the pony asked, interrupting Trixie with her high pitched voice. "Oh, look Moondancer, we have a little do-gooder in our class this year. What are you gonna do super newbie? Shoot beams at Trixie from your eyes?" Trixie retorted, getting into the mare's face. "Wouldn't you like to know," the pony hissed, grabbing Dash and pulled her down to the seat, but Dash tripped and dropped her box spilling the contains. She grabbed the box and sat down beside the pink pony. "Sorry about the macrons," Dash apologized showing the mare the broken macrons it the box. "It's fine," the pony smiled at her and Dash grinned. "Has everypony taken their seats?" Cheerilee questioned. "Thanks for helping me out back there," Dash praised, relieved the fight went down so well. "No problem, it's what the Masked Matterhorn would do. She says all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good ponies do nothing," she then pointed to Trixie. "And that girl over there is evil and we are the good people, we can't let her get away with it." "Easier said then done, I try but it doesn't work," Dash sighed. "Well I am gonna be there right behind you," the pony comforted. Dash broken the last macron and handed one half to the mare. "Rainbow Dash," the pegasus introduced herself. "Pinkie Pie," the earth pony replied, taking the half macron. "For those of you who don't know me, I am Cheerilee," the teacher started. "Where is he? He should be here by now," Chloe moaned impatiently. * * * Soarin was flying towards the school in a hurry as a carriage stopped at the front of the school. A grey mare with a straight purple mane and blue eyes emerged from the carriage and yelled in a dull monotone voice, "Soarin, please reconsider, you know what your father wants." Then a large minotaur followed the mare. "But this is what I want to do," Soarin complained, stopping at the steps. Then he saw a zebra on the ground with a walking stick out of reach. Soarin flew over helped him up and handed him his walking stick. "Thank you for helping me, that not that young as you can see," the zebra admitted. Soarin smiled and looked back, as soon as he did his smile vanished. "I just want to go to school like everypony else, what's so wrong with that? Please don't tell my father about this," Soarin pleaded, as they walked to the car. When they left the school Zecora was still there with a mysterious smile. * * * An hour later, the school bell rang and everypony started rushing and gathering their bags and books. Before they left Cheerilee made an announcement. "Those of you who have P.E., Coach Spitfire is expecting you at the stadium. The rest of you can head over to the library," Cheerilee stated. In the background, Dumbbell handed Bulk biceps a piece of paper. When Bulk read the paper he blushed so much his white coat became red. "Dumbbell!" he yelled at the smirking stallion. "Bulk Biceps, what is going on?" Cheerilee demanded, no longer as happy as her name stated. "It's Dumbbell! I'm so gonna get..." Bulk threatened, walking towards the now nervous stallion. He scrunched up the piece of paper and clenched it in his hoof. "Bulk, go to the principal's office, now," the teacher ordered, pointing towards the door as the pegasus angrily stormed out of the room. * * * Chrysalis was watching from his butterfly shaped window. "Negative emotions. This is perfect. Just what I need. Anger, sadness... Burn a hole into his heart, my horrible akuma," he held a white butter in his magic then it became a rotting black and green akuma. the akuma flew through the hole in the window. "Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize him!" * * * Bulk opened the door without knocking. "Excuse me, young man. Hasn't anyone ever taught you to knock? Go on. Out you go, try it again! Go on, knock," the principle told the student .Bulk went outside and shut the door. Then, the akuma flew into the scrunched up piece of paper. A butterfly mask appeared on his face "Stoneheart, I am Chrysalis. I give you the power to seek revenge on those who have wronged you," Chrysalis tempted as a voice in Bulk's head. "Okay, Chrysalis," Bulk agreed, then he was surrounded by a black aura. "Well, come on in," the principle called, not knowing what was happening outside the door. The door was ripped off its hings and the principle fell over. "DUMBBELL!!!" the stone pony screamed, while the principle was having a heart attack under the table. * * * Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie were in the library when suddenly, the school shook and they fell off their seats. Everypony started running everywhere. Rainbow Dash grabbed Pinkie by the hoof and dragged her over to the security cameras. They saw a stone pony stamping his hoofs, causing earthquakes. "DUMBBELL!!!" it yelled, it was clear he was really ticked off by Dumbbell. Another thing she saw was a great hole in the wall, if you could call it that, leading to the principle's office, who was on the phone. "Hello? This is the police? Give me the army!" "What's going on? He had Bulk's voice?" Dash wondered, confused didn't begin to tell how she was feeling at that moment. It's not everyday a stone pony who sounds like your class mate comes to terrorize the school "It's as if he's been transformed into a real-life super villain! GPS check. Battery check. I am so outta here!" Pinkie Pie squealed in delight and excitement. "Hey! Where are you going!" Dash asked, beginning to wonder if her new friend was crazy. "Where there's a super villain, there's always a superhero close behind! No way I'm missing this!" Pinkie answered galloping away. Oh yeah, she's definitely crazy. Dash watch as the stone pony, possibly Bulk, was walking across the street and threw a carriage at the camera, while yelling, "DUMBBELL." Dash jumped in fright. Wow, that guy does NOT like Dumbbell. * * * At that time, in Soarin's mansion Maud was asking him questions. "Who was the first sole ruler of the Equestria?" "Everyone thinks it was Star Swirl, but it was actually Discord before the Great War," Soarin groaned, he couldn't be more depressed. "Excellent, Soarin, " she complemented, but she didn't sound too impressed in her dull voice. Just then a unicorn stallion with grey skin, a black mane and petrifying red eyes entered the room. It was Soarin's father, Sombra. "Give me a minute, would you, Maud?" Sombra asked in a serious voice. "Yes sir," she stepped back and remained quiet. "You are NOT going to school. I already told you," he hissed at Soarin. Soarin stood up and tried to defend himself against his father. "But father-" "Everything you need is right here where I can keep an eye on you. I will not head you outside in that dangerous world," Sombra interrupted. "It's not dangerous, father. I'm always stuck in here by myself. Why can't I go on and make friends just like everypony else?" Soarin inquired, desperate to convince his father to change his mind. "Because you are not like everyone else! You are my son! Continue," Sombra finished as Soarin sat down in defeat. He should of known his father wouldn't change. "We can leave it there for today if you have–" Maud suggested but Soarin darted to his room. Soarin went to his room, locked the door and lay on his bed. Then the mansion started to shake a Soarin looked up. He saw outside the window the stone pony was and a group of police ponies. "Ready, fire!" one called as the other shot the being. But it just grew bigger and yelled, "DUMBBELL," again. The police ponies scattered when the pony picked up a carriage and threw it at the head officer. Soarin ran to the T.V. "As incredible as it seems, Ponyville is indeed being attacked by a superhero. Everypony is encouraged to stay indoors." Rainbow Dash, who was also watching the news, was very worried now. "I hate first days back at school," Dash commented, then she noticed a small box, as did Soarin. "What's this doing here?" they both thought out loud in unison. The two picked up the boxes and opened them. A dark blue light surrounded Soarin's box and a gold light surrounded Dash's. Dash looked and saw the light become a tiny pony. She had white fur, pink eyes, a horn, large wings, golden jewellery, a sun for a cutie mark and a green blue and pink flowing mane. Dash shrieked. "It's a tiny pony thingy, what the heck are you?!" Dash screamed. "It's OK don't be scared," it comforted, fluttering over to Rainbow. "It talks too?!" Dash shouted and she started throwing all her stuff at the flying alicorn. * * * While over at Soarin's, things weren't going much better. The dark blue light also turned into a a small pony, but this pony had dark blue fur, blue eyes, a horn, wings, onyx jewellery, and moon with a black background for a cutie mark and a sparkly blue and purple waving mane too. "OK, this is the weirdest dream I've ever had," Soarin stated, staring at the miniature pony. "This is no dream, this is all real. I'm Luna, nice to meet you. Oh what's this?"Luna gasped, as she flew over to a foosball table and bit the head of one of the figures. "No, don't touch that, hey!" Soarin gave out, he tried to catch Luna, but she flew over to an arcade game. "Oh, shining! Can you eat this?" She bit a leather. "No, you can't! Oh what about this?" * * * Dash continued throwing books and pens at the pony until see was out of ammo. "Listen Rainbow Dash, I know everything may seem a bit strange to you," the mini pony started and Rainbow put a glass on her. "OK, if that makes you feel safer," the pony smiled. "What are you and how do you know my name?" Dash repeated, not scared anymore but confused. "I'm a kwami and my name is Celestia, now let me explain." * * * While Luna was trying to eat the T.V. remote, Soarin flew above her and pounced. "I still don't know what you're doing here," Soarin told Luna, wanting to know what in the name of Equestria was going on. "Look, I'm a kwami, I grant powers, yours is the power of destruction, got it?" Luna moaned, still hungry. "No," Soarin answered, absolutely clueless "Good now, have you got any food I starved," Luna pouted. "My father's pranking me, right? Wait, he couldn't, he has no sense of humor," Soarin guessed then denied his own theory. Luna then got serious. "Your father must never know that I exist, or anyone for that matter," Luna declared, folding her tiny hoofs. * * * "Mom! Dad!" Rainbow Dash called, about to open the trap door, but Celestia flew right through the glass and in front of Dash. "I your friend, Rainbow Dash, you must trust me, you're the only one that can stop Stoneheart," Celestia claimed and Dash started to believe the little pony. * * * Zecora looked at the remaining two miraculous. "Are you sure they'll be up to it master?" Faust questioned, a bit unsure of the zebra's decision. "I only got it wrong once and that was then, I can assure you Faust it won't happen again," Zecora replied hiding the miraculous once again. * * * "This must be a mistake! The only superpower I could possibly have is super-awkwardness... I know! Pinkie would know! That's my friend. Well, at least I think she would... She loves superheroes! She'd totally be up for the job! You should totally go see her!" Dash suggested but Celestia interrupted her. "Rainbow Dash, you are the chosen one!" Celestia revealed. * * * "But I'm stuck here! I'm never even let to go to school! A superhero who's imprisoned in his own house!" Soarin argued. "No good. That's why it's all going to change soon. If you're willing to change, that is," Luna teased, as Soarin looked down at the plain silver ring that was now on his hoof. * * * Rainbow Dash put in the white, circular earrings. "Okay, so all I have to do is break the object where the whatchama-call-it is hiding?" Dash recapped, still unsure about everything. "It's called an akuma. Which you must then capture," Celestia instructed. "Got it! Capture it! And what's that charm thing again?" Dash asked, already forgetting stuff. "The Lucky Charm! It's your secret superpower!" Celestia repeated. "Aww... this is all going too fast, Celestia... I... won't be able to pull this off!" Dash panicked. "Trust yourself, Rainbow Dash. Just say "Celestial magic." "Celestial magic?" the earrings glowed gold and Celestia flew into them "Whoa! What is happening?!" Dash shouted, as light covered her body. When in dimmed she was wearing a white suit that faded into gold on her hoofs and wings. She also had a gold mask, a yo-yo on her hip, Celestia's cutie mark on her hoofs, flank and earrings. Her mane was no longer rainbow but red, orange and yellow tied up into a bun. * * * "Lunar power! That's how you transform," Luna was about to explain but Soarin interrupted "Got it. Lunar power!" Soarin commanded, sucking Luna into the ring. "No, wait! I haven't finished explaining!" Luna cried, but it was to late. Soarin was wearing a suit, similar to Rainbow's. His was dark blue that faded into black on his hoofs and wings. He had a black mask, a baton on his hip, Luna's cutie mark on his hoofs, flank and now black ring, and mane was darker at the edges. "Too cool!" Soarin yelled inspecting his suit. * * * Rainbow Dash was looking in a mirror, not as happy as Soarin, in fact, she wasn't happy at all. "Aww... how does this thing come off? Celestia, if you can hear me, I want my normal clothes back. I'm not going anywhere!" Dash announced then she saw the T.V. "Stoneheart is heading toward the Canterlot city. The monster seems to be unstoppable!" a reporter informed. Just then, Dash saw a pink pony appeared in the screen. "Pinkie Pie, are you crazy?!" Dash yelled at the T.V. Then she heard her mother calling from downstairs. "Rainbow Dash! Did you get home okay?" Dash panicked then looked around and saw a ladder. "Uhh... yeah, Mom! Just super!" Dash replied as she climbed up the ladder leading to a balcony just as Windy opened the trap door. Was that a pun? "Rainbow? You in here? Hon, we better call the school," Windy told Bow Hothoof. Rainbow Dash lightly closed the door. "Okay, I have special powers!... and apparently this amazing super yo-yo thingy?" Dash wondered looking at the sun on the white yo-yo. She threw it and it caught on a gargoyle statue on the Ponyville tower. She pulled on the yo-yo and it whisked her to the other of the town. * * * While that was happening, Soarin was tightrope walking over his baton. "I'm starting to get the hang of this," Soarin laughed, then he saw something in the sky. It wasn't a bird, it wasn't a plane, it was a mare falling from the sky. Rainbow had the yo-yo tied around her wings. Soarin saw the mare was about to fall on him. She fell into his hoofs. They both fell but Dash's yo-yo caught onto Soarin's baton and they got hung by the yo-yo. "Well, hey there. Nice of you to drop in," Soarin smirked. Wow, she's cute, really cute. Soarin stared into her magenta eyes. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't do it on purpose," Dash apologized, then they wriggled out of the string and Soarin followed. "I bet you're the partner my kwami told me about. I'm... Midnight. Yeah, Midnight. And you?" Soarin introduced himself, most of the time superheroes had secret identities so he decided to do the same. "I'm Ra... err... Rai... uhh..." Rainbow pulled on the yo-yo that was still tied on Midnight's baton which hit Midnight. "Madly clumsy. I'm so clumsy." "No sweat, clumsy girl. I'm learning the ropes too," Midnight stated. Suddenly, the ground trembled. Midnight looked up, saw a building falling and he starting flying to where it was. "Hey! Where are you going?" Dash shouted, as the stallion flew farther away then stopped and looked back. "To save Paris, right?" Midnight answered, very cocky. "Ugh," Dash grumbled to herself. "Trust yourself, trust yourself..." she flew as fast as she could and followed Midnight to the stadium. A few ponies were there just about to leave, but Stoneheart appeared. "DUMBBELL!! So, who's boss now?" Stoneheart teased, towering over dumbbell who was now running away from the monster, but he tripped and fell. "Hey, it's not nice to pick up people who are smaller than you," Midnight pointed out, as he extended his baton, blocking Stoneheart from Dumbbell who was now running away. "I guess you're talking about yourself," Stoneheart assumed, lunging at the masked stallion but he quickly dodged. * * * "Everything's going to plan. The sun and moon Miraculous have been activated. Here they come to save the day, and now my super villain will destroy them," Chrysalis cackled from his layer, watching everything that was happening and waiting for the miraculous to come. * * * Midnight was ducking and weaving as Stoneheart tried to swat him. He jumped up onto Stoneheart and hit Stoneheart with his baton, but he just got bigger "Where are you, partner?" Midnight called, he narrowly missed the stone ponies attack. Meanwhile, Dash was standing at the steps having a mini panic attack. "Oh, I can't. I'm not gonna be able to do it..." Dash doubted herself. The larger pegasus threw a goal at the smaller pegasus and missed but there was a certain pony recording the fight about to be hit. Midnight threw his baton just in time to save her but Stoneheart grabbed him. "What are you waiting for, super gold pony? The world is watching you!" Pinkie Pie cried, for down in the stadium. Dash took a deep breath. She flung her yo-yo at the stone creature's feet than flew in between his legs, yanked on the string, tripping the monster. Midnight tumbled out of grip and into a goal, beside Rainbow. "Yes!" Pinkie squeaked, jumping up and down, unable to stand still (well she's like that all the time). "Sorry it took so long, Midnight," Dash confessed, helping the stallion pegasus up. "It's cool, solar mare. Now, let's kick this Rocky behind!" Soarin was about to run to the monster, but Rainbow grabbed his tail. "Wait! Haven't you noticed? He gets bigger and stronger with every attack. We have to do something different," Dash stated. "Different how?" Midnight asked. "Uhhh... I don't know," Dash revealed. "Okay then. Let's use our powers. Cataclysm!" Midnight shouted and his hoof was covered in a weird aura. "Apparently I destroy whatever I touch." "I don't need a superpower to destroy everything," Rainbow grumbled under her breath. Midnight used his cataclysm to break the goal. "No, don't do that!" but it was too late. "Cool. It's just you and me now! Time to rumble, soon-to-be rubble!" Midnight flew up to the monster. "Midnight! Wait!". Midnight leaped towards Stoneheart to use his Cataclysm but it didn't work. "Uh-oh. I guess I only get one shot to use my power," he assumed smiled at the massive villain and Stoneheart threw him away back into the goal. "And you only have five minutes before you transform back. Didn't your kwami explain anything to you?" Rainbow scolded. "I guess I was a little excited about my new life," Midnight confessed. "Well, up to me," Dash sighed. "Lucky Charm!" A suit appeared in her hoofs, confusing the two masked ponies. "Super power?" Midnight questioned. "My kwami told me I have to break the object where the whatchama-call-it... er, the akuma is hiding," Rainbow explained. They both started inspecting the stone creature with no luck. "Well, he's made entirely out of stone," Midnight stated, but Dash was still searching. "His right hand, it's still closed. He never opens it. It's like the Russian dolls. The object isn't on him, it's hidden in his fist!" Dash exclaimed. "So what's your plan?" Midnight asked "Hmmm..." Dash used her Solar Vision and Stoneheart's fist, Pinkie and a hose flashed. "This!" she finished, grabbing the hose and tying it to the suit. Then she tied Midnight's feet with her yo-yo. "Don't miss. Trust me." "This girl's crazy!" Midnight screamed when Rainbow threw him at Stoneheart who caught him. "Catch me if you can!" Dash taunted, jump towards the stone being with the suit still in her hand. Stoneheart dropped a scrunched up piece of paper and grabbed Rainbow. "And now... Pinkie Pie, the tap!" Pinkie galloped to the water tap and opened it. The water flowed out and inflated the suit then Stoneheart let go of Dash. Then she ripped the akumatized object and the akuma flew away. A black aura surrounded Stoneheart causing the stone to fall off him and turned him back into Bulk. The stones then disappeared and Midnight was in awe. "This girl is awesome. She's crazy awesome," Midnight gaped. The ripped, black paper in Rainbow's hoof glowed and turned white again. "What's going on? What am I doing here?" Bulk asked, scratching his head. "You were incredible, miss... uh... Sun lady. You did it!" Midnight praised. "We both did it, partner." At the exact same time, they fist bumped and yelled, "Pound it!" Midnight's miraculous beeped showing only one fifth of the moon left. "You should get going. Our identities must remain secret," Rainbow stated and Midnight nodded. "Farewell, m'lady. Let's do this again soon, okay?" Midnight called and he took off out of the stadium. "Not too soon, I hope," Dash muttered. She saw Bulk, straightened out the paper and read it aloud. "You haven't even got the guts to tell Fluttershy you love her, wuss." "Dumbbell wrote it. He's always making fun of me," Bulk grumbled sitting on the ground looking at his hoofs. Rainbow strolled over to him and put a hoof on his shoulder "You know, you shouldn't get so bent out of shape about that. There's no shame in telling someone you love them, Bulk," Dash comforted. "Hey, how did you know my name, miss?" Bulk asked and Rainbow panicked. "Uncanny, amazing, spectacular! Are you gonna be protecting all of Equestria from now on? How did you get your powers? Were you hit by a magical comet? Oh, I've got a ton of questions to ask you, uh, miss... uhh..." Pinkie rambled. "Uhh... Daydream! Call me Daydream," the masked mare announced then she flew away leaving a sparkly gold and white trail behind her. "Daydream... Super awesome!" Pinkie fangirled. Is that even a word? Fangirled? Well, if nervouscited is a word so... Pinkie! This is MY story so stop interrupting! And this makes no sense! Screw sense! I'm Pinkie Pie! Stop wasting the viewer's time! Or I will have somepony else to play Alya! Oh, you're quiet now aren't you? OK, roll the next scene! * * * "So thanks to this amateur footage, the Parisians now know the identities of their heroes!" the TV reporter showed Pinkie's video of Daydream flying away. "I did it, Celestia!" Dash squealed, back in her room and out of the superhero costume. "You see? You were up to it!" Celestia cheered. "Marinette! Dinner time!" Windy called from down stairs and Rainbow climbed down the trap door. * * * "I am pleased to announce that we will organize a huge celebration in honor of our city's new protectors. Daydream and Midnight ," the mayor declared "Daydream. Her name is Daydream..." Soarin cooed. Luna was observing the four dishes prepared for her and was disgusted. "Oh, what is this?" Luna complained, holding a fruit salad with ice cream in a glass. "Seriously? My personal chef made all this!" Soarin pointed out to the ungrateful kwami. "If you expect me to get my energy back after the transformation, I need to eat something more... delicate!" Luna stated, throwing the dessert on the ground. "Okay. What do you want?" Soarin sighed. * * * The released akuma flew up and landed on top of the Ponyville flag pole. The rotting butterfly flapped his wings furiously and it multiplied. Thousands of akumas flew away to different directions, including cities bordering Ponyville. * * * "Just as Ponyville is about to celebrate the appearance of out two new superheroes, Daydream and Midnight, a new wave of panic is sweeping across the capital as dozens of people are mysteriously transformed into stone monsters. It's simply unbelievable," the TV announcer reported. "Camembert cheese. Fantastic. All he eats is Camembert, which means I'm gonna smell like stinky old cheese," Soarin complained. "These victims transformed into stone beings are still like statues. The police are perplexed to what will happen to them. Will they come back to life or be frozen in time forever?" the reporter continued. "Luna? What's going on? I thought we defeated him," Soarin wondered. "Did you catch the akuma?" Celestia and Luna asked in unison. "What's capturing the akuma got to do with the other stone beings?" Rainbow panicked. "An akuma can multiply, that's why it must be captured. If Bulk's emotions become negative again, then the akuma will turn him back into Stoneheart! He'll control all the stone beings and bring them to life to serve as his army!" Celestia explained. "So that means... this is all my fault? I knew it! See, Celestia? I'm not cut out to be a superhero! I'm only gonna keep messing up." "Keep calm. It was your first time. You're going to go back and capture Stoneheart's akuma, and do it successfully!" "I can't! I told you, I'm clumsy! I create disaster all the time! I'll only make things worse for me, for you and for everyone. Midnight will be better off without me. I'm quitting." * * * "So I can't do anything without Daydream?" Luna stoke her head. "Only Daydream can capture akumas and repair damage caused by super villains." * * * "If Midnight can't capture the akumas, then... just find another Daydream. I told you, I'm not cut out to be Daydream! I'm sorry Celestia," Dash apologized as she took out her earrings. "No, don't do tha--" Rainbow looked around to see Celestia, but she was nowhere in sight. "...Celestia? I'm really sorry, Celestia..." Dash put the earrings in the box and put it into a drawer. * * * "Bulk has a sensitive heart. It won't be long before anger and sadness strike again. And he and the stone beings will come alive. Then we'll see how long you will remain hidden, Daydream and Midnight. Once I have your Miraculous, you will be powerless against me. Everyone will be powerless against me! I will have absolute power!" Chrysalis yelled. "Mwahahahaha!" Really? Again with cackling? Ugh, villains. > Origins part 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The stone beings are scattered all over Paris and for the time being, they are showing no signs of movement. Police have cordoned off the area," the news reporter stated, standing beside a display of pictures of the stone creatures. The TV then showed the mayor, Filthy Rich was addressing an audience of reporters with the head officer, Shining Armor. "We won't stop until we find a way to get these people back to their normal selves but for now, we're not making much headway," Filthy Rich admitted. The camera flipped back to the reporter standing next to a photo of Daydream and Midnight. "Paris is relying on our new guardian angels, Daydream and Midnight to save us all. Our lives depend on them." At Rainbow's house, she was standing next to her father, watching the TV while he washed dishes. Bow Hothoof turned around and put a hoof on Dash's shoulder. "Listen, I know how upsetting and scary this is, but don't worry sweetie, we've going two superheroes looking out for Paris and the best way of helping them is to show them that we are not scared because we trust them," Bow Hothoof comforted, raising a hoof and scrunching his face with confidence and faith. "But what if Daydream fails?" Rainbow sighed, looking down in shame. "Then I'd come and save you," Bow picked a piece of bread and waved it as a sword. "Super Baker to the rescue!" Dash giggled and reached up to give her father a peck on the check. "Thanks, Super Dad!" Rainbow ran up to her room and grabbed her saddle bags, pausing for a moment to look at her vanity drawer where she kept her Miraculous. She opened the drawer and examined the box in which the Miraculous is in. Then, she placed the box in her saddle bag with certainty. * * * At Soarin's mansion, it's 7 a.m. and Maud is waiting for Soarin in the dining area. "Hmm, what's he doing?" Maud wondered in her dull voice. The clock chimed. Maud looked for Soarin in his room but he's nowhere in sight . "Adrien?" Sombra was standing at the top of the staircase, looking down at Maud and the minotaur chauffeur who were standing side by side. Sombra was not pleased. "You didn't see him leave? If anything happens to my son, you will be held responsible!" he screamed. * * * Adrien was running to school and away from his father. Luna was flying close beside him. "You are a strange colt. Who would want to be at school when he can stay at home all day?" Luna asked. "You don't get it, Luna. I've had enough of being shut up at home by my dad. I want to meet people and make friends! Go to a normal school like everypony else!" "Uhhh, I think I'm feeling weak..." Luna moaned. "You know what's strange?" Soarin stopped, unhooked his bag and grabbed a wedge of Camembert. "The fact that all you eat is this disgusting, rotten, smelly Camembert cheese and then I have to smell like it 24/7. That's strange." "If you want to be able to transform into a superhero, then stinky cheese is the deal, my friend!" Luna chimed and Soarin continued running to the school. * * * Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash were having a discussion about the new website Pinkie started about Daydream. "The Daydream blog," Pinkie show Dash the site on her phone. "Bringing you all the latest news about the coolest superhero, Daydream! How awesome is that?! Check out the number of views since I posted a video!" "But why do you trust Ladybug so much? All these stone beings..." Rainbow mumbled. "She's gonna handle them," Pinkie assured. "But what if she's not really cut out to be a superhero even though everyone thinks she is?" Rainbow questioned. "What are you talking about, girl? Oh, wait. I know what this is about," Pinkie released. Dash was now flustered and scared of what Pinkie is about to say. "You're scared, but don't be! I've seen it with my own two eyes, girl! Daydream is a true super heroine! She's going to protect us all! I believe in her." Rainbow Dash looked down at her purse and was filled with confidence. As she walked down the hall with Alya, she notices a group gathered around Bulk. "So you really don't remember anything?" Night Glider "You were totally going ballistic. It was so cool!" Limestone Pie laughed "You were seriously out to crush me, dude!" Dumbbell accused. Bulk glanced up and saw Fluttershy a little bit away from the group. When there eyes meet Fluttershy gasped and looked away. "Oh, I'm sorry... I wasn't myself..." Bulk muttered, hanging his head in shame and guilt. "Pff! Once a monster, always a monster," Trixie scolded. Bulk was furious and marched away as Trixie continues to make fun of him. "Don't let the door hit you on the way out!" * * * "Yes... feel the burn of those words. Lose your temper, Bulk Biceps! Your akuma awaits you," Chrysalis encouraged. The same akuma was trapped in the top of his cane, fluttering around waiting to be free. * * * Outside of the school, Soarin was running to the front door, but Maud tried to stop him. "Adrien. Don't do this. Your father will be furious," Maud ordered walking out of the carriage. "Tell him you got here too late. Please!" Soarin begged and when Maud nodded he smiled and ran inside. * * * "How could you say that to Ivan? You're the real Stoneheart," Pinkie yelled. Trixie just chewed on her bubble gum. "Ugh, so I'm the one who broke Sabrina's dad's arm, am I? Just because your footage of those lame superheroes was shown on TV, doesn't mean you have to get so high and mighty," Trixie blew a bubble in Pinkie's face. "You little..." Pinkie hissed. "Look out, she's angry! She's going to spit her underwear and turn into a huge muscly monster!" Trixie interrupted. Pinkie was about to respond but then somepony entered the building. "Trixie?" Soarin called waving. "Soarikins! You came!" Trixie squealed. Everypony else gathered around the celebrity as Trixie hugged him. Outside, Maud stepped into the car. "I'll handle it." * * * In the locker room, Rainbow noticed Bulk sitting down and listening to music. She put a hoof on his should. "...You know, you should tell Fluttershy how you feel." Bulk took off his headphones. "Eh, I don't know what you're talking about," Bulk stuttered. "Come on, I saw the way you looked at her," Bulk was now angry and Dash noticed. "Oh! No! No negative emotions, Bulk. What I mean is be positive. I'm sure Fluttershy has feelings for you too. Go talk to her." "Pff. I'm no good with words anyway," Bulk whispered. "But... Who needs words? You could draw her a picture, send her flowers..." Rainbow listed. "I could... write her a song?" Bulk suggested. "That's a great idea! What girl wouldn't love a love song written especially for her? Go for it, Bulk, and stay positive," Dash beamed, Bulk nodded and ran off. * * * "Negative emotions... They're fading! Ughhhh...." Chrysalis complained. * * * Soarin was sighing autographs while walking to Miss Cheerilee's classroom with Trixie "This is your seat, Soarikins. I saved it for you. Right in front of Trixie!" Trixie directed. "Thanks, Trixie," Soarin sat down beside a stallion with a yellow coat and a brown afro. Soarin stuck out his hoof. "Uh... Hey! Adrien." "You're friends with Trixie now, huh?" the stallion asked. Soarin frowned and saw Trixie and Moondancer putting gum on a seat. "Hey! What's that all about?" "The brats that sat here yesterday need a little attitude adjustment. I'm just commanding a bit of respect, that's all," Trixie answered innocently. "You think that's really necessary?" Soarin scolded, trying to remove the gum. "Ah, You've got a lot to learn about school culture, Soarikins. Watch the master," Trixie bragged. Outside of the classroom, Rainbow and Pinkie were chatting and Rainbow asked the question. "Pinkie, wouldn't you like to be a superhero and go out and fight monsters and villains?" "Totally! I'm not scared of anyone! Why?" Pinkie exclaimed. "Oh! No reason..." When she wasn't looking, Dash placed the Miraculous in Pinkie's bag. They entered the classroom and see Soarin putting gum on Rainbow's seat. "Hey! What are you doing?" "Uhhh...I..." Soarin was lost for words while Trixie and Moondancer were cackling. Dash rolled her eyes. "Okay. I get it. Good job, you three. Very funny." "No, I was just trying to take this off!" Soarin protested. "Oh, really?" Rainbow retorted. She gave a tissue and used it to take off the gum. "You're friends with Trixie, right?" Dash spat. "Why does everypony keep saying that?" Soarin thought out loud as he took his seat.) "Now do you see what Trixie means about respect?" Trixie chuckled. "I know I've seen him somewhere before," Rainbow pondered. "Of course! He's the son of my favorite fashion designer, Sombra! "He's daddy's boy, teen supermodel, and Trixie's buddy? Forget it." "Why didn't you tell her it was Trixie's idea?" the stallion beside Soarin piped up. "I've known Trixie since I was a little kid. And I know she's not perfect, but I can't throw her under the bus. She's, like, my only friend." The stallion smiled and stuck out his hoof. "I'm Cheese Sandwich, and it's time for you to make some new friends, dude." At the locker room, Fluttershy was in a hurry to get to class. "Oh no, I'm gonna be late," Fluttershy panicked. She was running out the door then Bulk appeared. "Ahh! Bulk, you scared me." "I made this for you," Bulk stuttered. He started playing loud music and sang/yelled the lyrics of his song. "Oh Fluttershy, hear my cry, You're a pretty butterfly!" Fluttershy run away, scared. Ivan gets angry and throws the paper on the floor.) * * * "Yes. This is what I've been waiting for. You know the way, evil akuma," Chrysalis cackled. A hole appeared at the top of the cane, releasing the akuma. "Track down your prey! Fly away and evilize him!" * * * Bulk was now sitting in the locker room, depressed. The akuma flew through a window and infected Bulk's sheet of paper with song lyrics. Once again, the butterfly shaped mask appeared. "This is your second chance, Stoneheart. This time, you avenge your helm. No one will stop you from capturing the love of your life. Just remember, I'll need something in return." Bulk was then akumatized into Stoneheart again. He opened his eyes and all the other stone beings across Ponyville and Equestria started waking up. * * * Back in class, Miss Cheerilee was checking her attendance. "Skies, Soarin?" Soarin panicked. "You say 'present'," Cheese Sandwich whispered. "Uh, present!" Soarin shouted, he stood up and all the other students laughed. "Lulamoon, Trixie? "Present!" Biceps, Bulk? Suddenly, Stoneheart burst through the door (he really cares about attendance). "Present! Fluttershy?" As soon as he spotted Fluttershy, he picked her up and held her in his now larger wing. "Let go of me, Bulk!" Fluttershy commanded, struggling to get lose. "I'm not Bulk any more. I'm Stoneheart." "Why are you doing this?" "So you and I can be together forever!" Stoneheart looked around and saw Trixie hiding behind a table, calling her father on her phone. "Daddy, the monster is back!" Trixie cried. Stoneheart picked her up and grabbed her with his other wing. He broke the wall and jumped out of the school. "Put us down, Bulk!" Fluttershy cried as Stoneheart marched away. When he was gone, Pinkie poked her head up from behind a table and Rainbow did the same. "Come on! Let's follow him!" Pinkie burst, pulling Rainbow's hoof. "Uh... Oh, no. You go. I'm finding myself a safe place to hid." "Girl, you're gonna miss Daydream in action!" Pinkie stated. Dash looked at Pinkie's saddle bags and handed them to her. "You and Daydream will be both better off without me." "If you say so!" Pinkie then took off running through the hole in the wall and after the stone pony, without her bag. "Wait! Your bag!" * * * Soarin ran into the locker room and opened his bags, releasing Luna. "My first day of school and I don't even get it past roll call," Soarin sighed. "A day off? Now that is more like it!" Luna cheered "Oh, no no no no. We've got homework to do," Soarin grinned. "Lunar power!" Soarin transformed into Midnight and he dashed out of the school. * * * Outside the school, Stoneheart was still holding Fluttershy and Trixie captive. "You have no idea who you're dealing with. My daddy, the mayor, will bring in the police, the army, the entire cavalry!" Trixie warned. "And don't forget the superhero!" Midnight interrupted. He flew in and hit Stoneheart with his baton, but Stoneheart grows bigger. "Oh no. My bad." "Ugh. Super incompetent, you mean," Trixie snarled. "Ugh! You wanted the cavalry? Well, here it is!" Stoneheart announced as the other stone beings ran towards them and surround Midnight. "Seize him!" Midnight managed to dodge them and didn't notice the real Stoneheart storming away. "Bulk! Where are we going?" Fluttershy asked. "To deliver a message. Then, we'll be brought together forever by a pretty black butterfly," Stoneheart explained. "Ugh. All this lovey-dovey stuff is making me sick," Trixie remarked, rolling her eyes. "Don't worry, little monster. I'm gonna take care of you too," Stoneheart hissed. Meanwhile, Pinkie was going to where Stoneheart was and she saw Midnight struggling to fighting alone. "If you can hear me, Daydream, I could use a little help!" Midnight called, dodging yet another attack. "What's she waiting for?" Pinkie wondered. A bit farther away, Rainbow saw the stone beings. One of them knocked over a car and it was about to hit Pinkie, but Midnight saved her by extending his baton and throwing it. Once the car hit the baton it returned to it's normal size and the car fell against the wall. Pinkie was trapped under the car and a stone being grabs Midnight in his hoof. "Let go, you blockhead!" "HELP!!" Pinkie screamed. Dash was suddenly filled with courage. She searched for the box out in the bag and put on the Miraculous. In a burst of gold light, Celestia appeared. "I think I need Daydream!" "I knew you'd come around!" Celestia smiled. "Well, I'm still not sure I'm up for this, but Pinkie's in danger. I can't sit back and do nothing. Celestial magic!" Rainbow Dash transformed into Daydream and pulled the car with her yo-yo and Pinkie escaped. "You can't stay here. It's too dangerous," Daydream advised, then she picked up Midnight's stick. Daydream flew over the stone beings and threw Midnight's stick to him. "Midnight, extend your baton!" Midnight did what he was told and tumbled onto the ground. He was about to be crushed by a stone pony but Daydream threw her yo-yo over a lamppost and wrapped it around his hoof. When she pulled, Midnight narrowly missed the stone being and was now hanging upside down from the lamppost. "Sorry I'm late," "M'lady, have I ever told you you turn my world upside down?" "Oh, you're quite the jokester, aren't you?" Daydream teased, but then she saw the Stonehearts surrounding them. "But your comedic timing needs work. We gotta get out of here!" Daydream started flying away, dodging attacks from the Stonehearts. "Hey, aren't we going to take care of him?" Midnight asked. Daydream pressed a button on her yo-yo and a screen appeared. Using her yo-yo as a phone, she tracked down Stoneheart. "No. If we wanna save them all, we go to the source. That one!" Daydream declared, pointing at the largest Stoneheart. Th real Stoneheart was climbing the Ponyville tower, with the police surrounding him. "I demand my daughter's safe return!" Filthy Rich commanded through a megaphone. "Daddy!!!" Trixie cried. "You know what? You're welcome to!" Stoneheart yelled and he threw Trixie at the ground. "Help! I promise I'll be nice to everyone, say please and thank you all--" Trixie was interrupted when Daydream swooped in and caught her. "I didn't promise." "What?" Daydream placed Trixie on the ground and Filthy Rich ran to hug her daughter. "My little princess..." Shining Armor marched toward. "We're clear to attack!" "Wait! No, don't attack them! You know it'll only make it worse!" Daydream demanded, flying up in Shining Armor's face with Midnight standing by her side. "I have a new plan, unlike you! Move aside and let the pros do their thing. You've already failed once!" Daydream felt deeply hurt. "...He's right, you know. If I had captured Stoneheart's akuma the first time around, none of this would have happened! I knew I wasn't the right one for this job..." Midnight put his hoofs on her shoulders, spun her around and looked her in the eye. "No. He's wrong, because without you, she'd no longer be here. And because without us, they won't make it, and we'll prove that too. Trust me, young miss. Okay?" Daydream sighed and smiled determinedly. "Okay." Stoneheart suddenly started coughing and spat out a swarm of akumas that form Chrysalis' face. Stoneheart collapsed and was completely motionless. "People of Paris, listen carefully. I am Hawk Moth," a sinister voice from the akumas spoke "Chrysalis?" Daydream and Midnight asked and they glanced at each other in unison. "Daydream, Midnight, give me the sun earrings and the moon ring now. You've done enough damage to these innocent people!" Chrysalis' voice hissed. Everypony stared at Daydream who clapped her hoofs and she slowly strolled up to the akumas "Nice try, Chrysalis, but we know who the bad guy is. Let's reverse the roles here. Without you, none of these innocent victims would be transformed into villains. Chrysalis, no matter how long it takes, we will find you, and YOU will hand us YOUR Miraculous!" Daydream darted into the sky in a gold light and she grabbed her yo-yo. "Time to de-evilize!" She used her yo-yo to make the Chrysalis figure disappear and she caught all the akumas. Midnight and the others stared at her, surprised. Daydream landed on the tower were the akumas used to be and she turned to the crowd. "Let me make this promise to you. No matter who wants to harm you, Daydream and Midnight will do everything in our power to keep you safe!" She opened her yo-yo, and a busload of purified, white butterflies come out. Rainbow Dash's parents and the students are thrilled. "Wow. Whoever she is beneath that mask, I love that girl," Midnight mumbled, dumbfounded. "Agh! That's the problem with superheroes. They're too heroic! Stoneheart, they're trying to take your loved one away from you. You must snatch their Miraculouses so they will be powerless against you!" Chrysalis ordered from his layer. The motionless Stoneheart shook his head and blinked. "Okay, Hawk Moth." "Help me!" Fluttershy cried, still captured as Stoneheart rose up. "You'll never take Fluttershy from me! Come to me, my stone beings!" Stoneheart scaled up the Tower, his stone army began the climb. "We're surrounded! What do we do now? We can't attack him," Midnight stated as he and Daydream flew towards Stoneheart. "Yes, but we know where the akuma is." "In his clenched fist. The one he's holding Mylène with. So..." "So we know he's in love with her. That's it! We don't separate Stoneheart and Mylène: we bring them closer together! They're made for one another! It's just that they don't know it yet." Daydream dashed ahead of Midnight who seemed confused. "Ugh. Not really following you, but guess I better trust you. Something tells me that this is how it's gonna be from here on out." When Daydream and Midnight arrived at the top of the tower Stoneheart was hanging off of the pole at the top of the building. "Help! I'm scared of heights!" Fluttershy squealed. "Everything's gonna be alright!" "How are you planning to get them closer than they already are?" Daydream thought for a second. "By using our powers! Lucky Charm!" A trampoline appeared. "A trampoline? What am I supposed to do with this?" Midnight got thrown away by a stone being and they started to surround him. "You sure you know what you're doing?" "We'll find out soon enough!" Daydream used her yo-yo to grasp Stoneheart's hoof. "His hoof! Get ready!" She started pulling his hoof towards his face and Fluttershy kissed Stoneheart. Stoneheart let go of her. Fluttershy grabbed onto his hoof. Midnight flew down to the akumatized paper. "Cataclysm!" The akuma flew out of the paper turned to dust. The akuma began to fly away. "No more evil-doing for you, little akuma. De-evilize! Huh?" She saw Stoneheart turning back into Bulk and falling down from the Tower. Fluttershy had to let go of Stoneheart but then she fainted. Daydream jumped down and throw the trampoline to Midnight. "Midnight, here!" Midnight looked really confused. "What am I supposed to do with this?" "Place it on the ground, under Bulk. I'll get Fluttershy." Midnight did as he was told and put the trampoline under Bulk. Bulk was trying to fly but his tiny wings could hold him up. Daydream darted down towards Fluttershy at an incredible speed. "Time to de-evilize!" She grabbed her yo-yo and caught the akuma but she didn't release it. Instead, she continued to fly down to Fluttershy. Everything was a blur to Daydream then she noticed a cone forming around her. Fluttershy was close to the ground and Midnight was too far away to save her in time. Suddenly, a flash of gold caught Fluttershy, creating a rainbow ring of fiery light as it flew back up in the air. Daydream realized what she did. It was definitely a sonic rainboom. Daydream grabbed her yo-yo and released the white butterfly. "Bye-bye, little butterfly. Miraculous Daydream!" she yelled. She threw the Lucky Charm into the air then it turned into gold energy. The lights flew everywhere, turning everything back to normal, including the stone army. Everypony stared in wonder and awe as the gold energy and the rainbow spectrum filled the sky. Midnight walked over to Daydream, Bulk beside him. Daydream placed Fluttershy on the ground, who now had regained consciousness and she ran over and hugged Bulk. "Whoa. Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Midnight gasped. "Yeah. It's beautiful and amazing. It's...um...miraculous!" Daydream stated. * * * "This is just the beginning, Daydream. You and Midnight may have won this battle, but I will win the war. I will get your Miraculouses. I will get the absolute power! And then my secret dream will come true!" Chrysalis spat from her layer as the window in front of her slowly closed. * * * "I think you two have things to talk about. Hm?" Daydream giggled. "Oh, uh... I... Uh..." Bulk responded awkwardly. "Maybe it would help if you read the lyrics to Bulk's song." Daydream handed (or hoofed?) the paper to Fluttershy. While reading the lyrics Fluttershy began to light up. "Wow, it's really beautiful. It's a shame you can't hear them when you scream. I mean, when you sing." "It was scary, wasn't it. Is that why you left? I'm sorry, I'll be gentle." Bulk looked sad so Fluttershy gave him a hug. "Oh, they're so made for each other," Daydream gushed. "Like us too," Midnight smirked but then his Miraculous beeped. "Uh oh. You see that? Time to split. See you soon, Midnight," Daydream rushed and she darted away in a sparkly gold light. "Can't wait, m’lady," Midnight sighed and he dashed away in a shining dark blue light. * * * Outside the school, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are talking. "So, by the time I went to the Eiffel Tower, it was all over. I'm way bummed." "Don't worry. You'll get your scoop eventually." "You're right. Next target: Daydream, an exclusive interview!" "Ooh. Sounds exciting." "Oh, wait! Even better: finding out who's really under that mask." "Uh-huh. Good luck with that one." Meanwhile, in the Skies car, Sombra is scolding Soarin via video. "You disobeyed me, Soarin. Take a look at that school." "Yes, Father." "You will never, I say, never go back there again..." "Father, no..." "Without your bodyguard. He will drop you off and pick you off every day. Maud has offered to organize you a new schedule. You'll be continuing your music, Chinese, and fencing classes and your photo shoots. "Thank you, Maud. Thank you, Father!" Soarin left the car, delighted. * * * Rainbow and Pinkie entered the classroom and Pinkie was about to sit down "No, wait," Dash protested and she motioned Pinkie to the seat behind Cheese Sandwich. Trixie and Moondancer burst through the door and Trixie looked disgusted. "Uhh... You're in the wrong seat. Go on, get lost!" "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing!" Rainbow repeated "What is that supposed to mean?" "It means that I'm not putting up with your crud anymore, Trixie, and neither is anyone else around here, so take your attitude and go on, get lost!" All the other students laughed. Trixie took Dash's previous seat angrily. "Good job!" Pinkie chuckled, hoofbumping Rainbow. Soarin entered the classroom. Dash turned sharply away from him. "Dude, you wanna make friends, right? Well, go talk to Rainbow Dash. You know, about the chewing gum." "But what should I say to her?" "Just be yourself." * * * Later, Rainbow stood outside the school. It was raining heavily. Soarin trotted beside her. "Hey." Dash ignored him. He opened his umbrella. "I just wanted you to know that I was only trying to take the chewing gum off your seat. I swear. I've never been to school before. I've never had friends. It's all sort of new to me." Soarin covered Rainbow with his umbrella. Dash studied his actions. Suddenly, a thunderclap sounds and Rainbow opened her eyes wide. Dash slowly took the umbrella, but it closed on her head. Soarin laughed, Rainbow pouted, then joined in. "See you tomorrow," Soarin chortled walking away. "Uh... see you to...mo... tomo... Haha! Whoa, why am I stammering?" Celestia flew out of her saddle bag and landed on Dash's shoulder. "Hey! I think I might have an idea!" Rainbow blushed. "First day of school and we already have two lovebirds," Luna teased, appearing in front of Soarin. "Whatever. She's just a friend. Oh... a friend..." Soarin smiled, got in the car, and went home. Dash grabbed her bag and flew home. Neither pegasi noticed Zecora watching them. Faust flew up beside her. "Excellent choice, Master." "Those two are made for each other! But they do not know the secret of their lover."
