> A Rainy Day in Ponyville > by Creativa-Artly01 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1-Rains > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a rainy, coal black night when everything changed together. As the rain continued to fall in raging bullets outside, Twilight and Trixie were busy in the library reading a book of ancient spells together. All of a sudden, Twilight hears a noise. "Did you hear that?" asks Twilight. "No, I didn't hear anything. Stop being paranoid, Twilight," replied Trixie. "Anyhow, it could always just be Starlight wandering the halls." "Maybe, but it didn't sound like pony hooves walking down the hall," replies Twilight as she turns back and continues to read the book with Trixie. As the rain continues to pour down outside, Twilight begins to grow more and more paranoid. Eventually, she gets way too paranoid and throws the book she and Trixie were reading right into the wall. "Ugh! I can't get that noise out of my head!" screams Twilight. "Make it stop!" She then runs into her bedroom and flings herself onto her bed and covers her head with her pillow trying to block the sound out of her mind. "Twilight. Come to me, Twilight. Twilight. Come to me, Twilight." whispers the voice in her head. "Twilight. Come to me, Twilight. Twilight. Come to me, Twilight. Come to your destiny!" "Who are you?" says Twilight angrily and confused. "I am the originator of planets and the guider of fate. I make my home in the Everfree Forest, but no one can see my face. I'm not of any breed. I'm not one with a body. Meet me in the forest at the peak of midnight." Twilight replies, "okay." Around midnight, Twilight leaves the castle and enters into the rain. As she walks, the rain pounds against her back up until when she reaches the Everfree Forest. Once she arrives in the Everfree Forest, the rain stops falling around her. "I'm here!" hollers Twilight into the darkness and the blackness. "Hello Twilight," whispers the voice, "It's good to see you. I've been watching you." "How do you know me?" asks Twilight. "Come closer and I'll tell you," replies the voice. Twilight walks closer into the forest and the voice soon reveals itself. "You're you're not a pony," says Twilight in shock. "What are you?" "I'm a guardia destina," replies the voice, "the guardian of destiny and fate." "What do you want with me then?" says Twilight puzzled. "I'm sending you on your next mission. Your mission is to stop an evil unicorn named Prismia Prisma. She's back once again with plans to take over the world." "But I thought Cadence stopped her several years back?" replies Twilight puzzled. "No, Cadence stopped Prismia Prisma's mother, Prisma Prisma, now her daughter wants revenge on you and the rest of the princesses." Twilight rolls her eyes. She agrees to take the mission and flies out in search of Prismia Prisma. She could've sworn it was this pony that Cadence had stopped and defeated already but clearly, the voice seems more knowledgeable on the subject so she's just going to do as the voice has commanded her. A few minutes later, Twilight returns back to her castle and the morning daybreak song of the phoenixes. She smiles as they sing before she turns into bed for the night. As she sleeps, she listens to the daybreak song of the phoenixes. The Phoenix she hears at the forefront is Philomena singing from her perch outside Celestia's bedroom at the royal castle in Canterlot. The rest of the sound she hears is the pitter patter of rain outside. The voice in her head is gone for now at least, but she knows it will be back soon enough. > Chapter 2-The Phoenix Daybreak Song > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few hours later, Twilight wakes up to the same daybreak song she had heard as she had fallen asleep. "Good morning to you too," days Trixie as she is standing over Twilight's bed with Starlight at her side. "Uh, what time is it?" says Twilight. "It's 7:00 AM," replies Trixie. "Shoot! I need to pack!" replies Twilight as she scurries to her closet and pulls together everything she needs for her trip. "Where are you even going?" ask Starlight and Trixie puzzled. "Prisma's descendant Prismia Prisma is out causing trouble and I need to stop her," replies Twilight. "Well, we're not letting you do it alone," reply Trixie and Starlight. Twilight rolls her eyes and agrees to let the two come along to help. Around 9:00, the three head out on their journey, following the vibrant feather trail of Philomena and the other phoenixes flying overhead. A few hours later, the three stop for a lunch break before continuing on their journey. Five hours after that, the three finally arrive at the place where the voice had said they'll find Prismia Prisma. A few minutes later, a unicorn with demon red glowing from her eyes approaches them and begins to shoot beams of lasers at them. Twilight and Trixie and Starlight begin to shoot magic back at her in self-defense. A few minutes later, Prismia stops shooting her magic and her eyes go back to her natural blue color as she hears a baby begin to cry. She then rushes inside and scoops up a little filly in her hooves. "You're a mother," says Twilight, "you only attacked us to protect your daughter." "Yes," replies Prismia Prisma. "This is my little girl, Daystar. She's my whole world." "We were told by a disembodied voice to come and destroy you for your mother's bad deeds," says Twilight. "Guardia Destina," replies Prismia Prisma, "I kind of figured. That voice doesn't like my mother because before she was a disembodied voice, she was a manipulative demoness that my mother destroyed and clearly she's still bitter." "Clearly," reply Twilight, Starlight, and Trixie. "Well, let us protect you from the voice's wrath," suggests Twilight. "That would be great," sighs Prismia Prisma. As she says this, a Phoenix then lands on the window sill. Prismia then calls to the bird and it enters the house. "Hey little Lightwing," says Prismia as it lands on her hoof and she begins to pet it. Meanwhile, Twilight puts a protection spell on the house and the rest of the property. She also puts a specially made voice dampening spell around the house for extra measure. Once Twilight finishes the spells, Prismia Prisma sighs a sigh of relief. She's so glad Twilight and her friends are doing everything in their power to protect her from the voice and powers of Guardia Destina. > Chapter 3-Guardia Destina > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- That night as she sleeps, Twilight hears Guardia Destina's voice once again. "Twilight. Twilight. Why didn't you kill her like I told you, Twilight? Why did you let her live, Twilight?" "She's not evil! She's not like her mother!" screams Twilight as she sleeps. Hearing Twilight's screams, Trixie wakes up and enters Twilight's room. "Are you okay, Twilight?" asks Trixie. "Honestly, no, I keep hearing the voice in my sleep," replies Twilight. Trixie comes and sits down beside her. "Don't let that voice give you second thoughts. Don't let Guardia Destina control your mind. Don't let her control what you do," replies Trixie as she embraces Twilight in a hug. Starlight soon enters the room and hops up on Twilight's bed beside Trixie. "Ignore the voice, Twilight. Don't do something you'll regret. Believe me, I know," adds Starlight as she gives Twilight a hug. A few minutes later, the three let go of their friendly, comforting embrace. A few hours later, the three all fall asleep, each pony embracing the others as they sleep. Trixie and Starlight can tell Twilight needs them to help her through this until the voice decides to finally give up. The next morning, the three wake up to the smell of pancakes coming from the kitchen. They soon enter the kitchen and Prismia Prisma loads three pancakes on each of their plates and then covers them in a honey maple syrup. The three then happily eat their breakfast as Prismia sits in her seat and feeds the baby and drinks her own coffee between each spoon she shoves into her daughter's mouth. Prismia is so grateful to the three for staying with her until this deal with Guardia Destina is done. A few minutes later, they finish up their breakfasts and go outside to Prismia's garden and pick the fresh vegetables and fruits within. As she's picking the produce, Twilight continues to hear the voice of Guardia Destina. She eventually gets sick of it and shouts into the heavens telling the voice to go away. "This is what I feared," says Prismia Prisma, "the voice is trying to manipulate you to get you to kill me. Guardia Destina is tricky and stubborn. She won't stop bothering you until she gets her way. There may be a way around it though, the Dragon Snap plant's poison will put you under a mind cleansing sleep and should get her out of your mind for good." "Do whatever it takes to get rid of her voice in my head," agrees Twilight. Prismia then walks Twilight back into the spare bedroom and gives her the poison. Once the poison is in her system, Twilight falls into a deep sleep as her mind begins to be purged and cleansed from the evil of Guardia Destina. Prismia then sets the tubes of the cure in a glass beside the bed. She'll use them whenever the cleansing of Twilight's mind is done. For now, all she can do is leave Twilight hooked up to the monitor in order to monitor her heart and mind waves until she sees them finally clear of Guardia Destina's influence. > Chapter 4-Deep Sleep > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- As the others were outside tending to the garden, Prismia Prisma stayed inside by Twilight's bedside as she slept under the influence of the flower's poison. "The voice is almost out of your mind, out of your conscious, continue to sleep and be patient," says Prismia Prisma in a soothing, calm, and gentle voice. A few hours later, Prismia is startled out of her seat as Twilight's eyes open. "Where am I?" asks Twilight confused. "You're in my home," replies Prismia Prisma, "you were sent to protect me from Guardia Destina. Do you still hear her voice in your head?" "No, I don't hear her voice in my head anymore, thanks, Prismia," replies Twilight finally coming to. She then slips out of the bed and goes thud on the floor. Prismia helps Twilight up and the two go outside and join the rest of the others. "I'm glad to see you awake," says Starlight as Twilight comes outside being led by Prismia Prisma. "She's still a little out of it, but she's fine," replies Prismia Prisma. Starlight and Trixie then run over and grab Twilight and embrace her in a hug. Philomena then flies across overhead in the Great Phoenix Migration alongside the rest of the phoenixes. Twilight smiles up at the sky. "Guide me as I continue to protect Prismia Prisma," says Twilight as she looks up at the sky and wishes on Philomena's tail feathers. She then turns around and follows Starlight, Trixie, and Prismia Prisma back to the cottage. Once they're back inside the cottage, they all sit down to dinner together while Prismia goes and grabs her daughter out of her crib and brings her over to the table and sits down and begins to feed her. The others then begin to eat their dinners of grilled veggies and fruit salads. Twilight happily downs her meal and then seconds, thirds, and even fourths. She's glad to be awake but she's also very hungry, so without wasting any time on talking to the others, she downs a fifth plate. Prismia laughs as a smile forms on her face. She then begins to eat her own dinner while she feeds her daughter at the same time. > Chapter 5-Prismia Prisma Tells The Others Guardia Destina's History > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "So, tell us all you know about Guardia Destina," says Starlight that night after Prismia puts her daughter to bed for the night and takes her seat back on the couch. "It was several years ago," starts Prismia, "when I first met Guardia Destina, the demoness of all demonesses, she went by a different name. She went by the name Queen Demoness. She and her demon army were in a great battle with myself, my mother, and the rest of the unicorns in the area that is now overtaken by the Everfree Forest that she formed when she took over the lands when I killed her. After that, we returned home to our village with news of our victories. After that, I couldn't help but feel like Guardia Destina was haunting us. We'd hear her voice in our heads as we slept. Eventually, we learned that the same poison we used on Twilight purged her from our minds. That's how I knew it would work for Twilight. That's all I know about Guardia Destina." "Thanks for the information," says Twilight as she puts her hoof on Prismia Prisma's shoulder. "You're welcome," replies Prismia with a smile. "Now all we need to do is figure out how to destroy her voice, the last remaining piece of her," sighs Twilight. "I can't help you there. You can't really destroy a voice," Prismia responds. "We'll figure something out," says Trixie snarkily, "won't you, Twilight?" "Yes," mumbles Twilight as she rolls her eyes at Trixie. She, Trixie, and Starlight then go outside and try to come up with a plan to destroy the disembodied voice of Guardia Destina. > Chapter 6-A Letter of Advice from Celestia > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- While they are outback trying to figure out how to destroy the voice, a letter soon appears in Twilight's hooves. "It's from Celestia," says Twilight with a look of shock on her face. "Well, read it," replies Starlight. "Let's see what she says." "Dear Twilight," reads Twilight, "I have heard of your misfortunes with the creature of Guardia Destina. I heard that before you took the poison you heard her voice in your head telling you to kill Prismia Prisma. Well, there's a way around that. The way to kill the voice is with an amped up spell known as "No Vocus Cravus". With this spell, you can destroy any disembodied voice including the disembodied voice of Guardia Destina. I wish you the best of luck, Celestia." "Well, that definitely helps, I already know this spell," replies Twilight. "I know this spell well also," replies Starlight. "What spell are you two even talking about?" asks Trixie. "I wasn't listening to you as you read the letter. Letters bore me." "We're talking about the No Vocus Cravus spell, Trixie," replies Starlight annoyed. "Oh, I don't know that spell," replies Trixie. "I wasn't one for advanced magic." "Clearly," mumbles Starlight under her breath. The three then go back inside and tell the spell to Prismia. "Yeah, I know that spell, I have it in my scroll room," replies Prismia. She goes to her scroll room and grabs down the scroll labeled No Vocus Cravus. She then hands the spell scroll to Twilight with her own beam of light blue magic. She then climbs down the ladder and reads the scroll alongside Starlight and Twilight. "Let's hope this destroys Guardia Destina for good," says Prismia to Twilight and Starlight. "Yeah, let's hope," replies Twilight. The three then grab the spell and head off towards the Everfree, leaving Trixie back at the cottage to babysit Prismia's daughter, Daystar. A few minutes later, Twilight, Starlight, and Prismia Prisma approach the voice in the woods. "I see you managed to get me out of your heads. Let me guess, the poisons. Now you're back for seconds. Well, here, have some fire." A ball of fire shoots out from where the voice is in the forest. The three stare at it wide-eyed in shock before darting out of the way and initiating the spell. A few minutes later, they cast the spell over Guardia Destina, which as she screams in agony, destroys her for good. The three then return back to the cottage. They're glad they've destroyed Guardia Destina permanently. Now, Prismia can get back to her life as a great magic user and mother and Twilight, Trixie, and Starlight can return home, their views on the Prisma family forever changed. > Chapter 7-Heading Home > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A day later, Twilight, Starlight, and Trixie pack up and head out but not before eating breakfast with and sharing a goodbye hug with Prismia. "It was great to have you and I'm glad you could help me destroy Guardia Destina," says Prismia as she hugs them then lets them go on their way. Several hours later, the three arrive back at home and are greeted by Spike, Pinkie, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow, and Fluttershy. "We're glad to have y'all back!" they say as they embrace their friends in a great big hug. "We're glad to be back," reply Twilight, Trixie, and Starlight in unison. "We've been gone for way too long." The friends then all let go of the hug and go to the table and talk. "Where were you?" asks Applejack curiously. "We were off protecting a pony named Prismia Prisma and her daughter Daystar from a powerful disembodied force known as Guardia Destina," replies Twilight. "Well, we're glad you're back in one piece, although, I thought Prismia's family was one of villains," replies Rainbow Dash. "No, it's not like that at all. Her mother may have been a villain that faced off against Cadence, but Prismia and her daughter, Daystar are different. They're nice, kind, good, with good hearts," replies Twilight. The nine friends then change the subject to going and getting something to eat. They then head for the Hayburger. Once at the Hayburger, the nine continue to talk about the past week over burgers, curly fries, and milkshakes. Eventually, all the details are finally out and they finally shift to a more happy and lighthearted chat of planning their upcoming group vacation: a sky tour of all Equestria on a beautifully equipped zeppelin just like the one Twilight and her family went on together two weeks ago.
