Sunset walked down the halls of CHS to her locker to retrieve the books she needed for her first period. Greeting some of her fellow schoolmates on the way, she fished out her phone once she felt a vibrating sensation on her pocket. She opened the message icon to see the recent message coming from Rainbow Dash.
RD:Still up for a game later on?
Sunset sent a small yeah in response since she didn't have any plans or after school curricular activities and her part time job at the sushi bar at the mall doesn't start ti'll the end of the week and the weekends. Putting her phone back in her pocket,she bumped into someone.
She looked at the person she collided with and instantly her whole face flushed and her heart started palpitating as she realized she bumped into the adorable nerd, Twilight Sparkle.
"Uhhh...sorry,Twilight!" She apologized as hastily got the fallen books and notebooks scattered on the floor as a result to their collision. Sunset stood back up as she held out the items for Twilight to take.
With shaking hands,Twilight took the items back in her arms as she pushed her glasses up her nose as light a blush was present in her features. "T-Thanks,Sunset."
Twilight stuttered nervously as she maneuvered herself around Sunset and walked down the opposite hall at a fast pace to escape the situation as fast as her legs could manage.
Recently, Twilight had a tendency to avoid her and always looks nervous whenever she's around.
Sunset stared for several seconds at her figure with a heavy blush still present until the bell's ringing snapped her out of her thoughts and she made a mad dash towards her locker,remembering she still had to stop by to get her respective books for her first subject of the day.

"GOAL!!!" Rainbow Dash screeched as she saw the ball soar across the field until it hit the back of the goal's net.
Sunset ran up to Rainbow breathlessly as she put her hands on her knees and took large intakes of air to fill her lungs and regain her breathing. " Good...game...Rainbow..."
After regaining her breathing Sunset turned to Rainbow almost automatically and asked. "How do you ask someone out?"
Rainbow in the middle of her victory dance, stopped to stare at Sunset in confusion to her question. "What?"
"How do yo-"
"Yeah, I heard you the first time. What I mean is why would you ask that question? Nobody would ask that question unless..." Connecting the dots in her head, Rainbow let a cheshire grin make its way into her face as she looked at Sunset with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Ohhh...I see"
She leaned on Sunset's shoulder with the grin still plastered on her face, said girl blushed in return as she let a shy smile slip and got Rainbow off her shoulder. They moved their conversation to the bleachers as they both sat down on the smooth wood.
"So who's the lucky one?"
It took Sunset a good five minutes, before Rainbow loses her cool, to reply."Twilight..."
"That is..."
"The human."
Rainbow didn't reply after that and it took her three minutes before she gave her reply." We need the help of someone else."
"Who?"
"You'll see" Rainbow grinned in response. Both girls stood up with their bags and jacket's before making their way out of the field.

"You want mah help fer what now?" Applejack asked even though she understood their point.
"You heard it right,Aj. Sunny needs help in asking Sci-Twi out." Rainbow said while patting Sunset on the shoulder, the latter avoiding Applejack's gaze.
Applejack gave them a quizzical look but didn't question them. She sighed as she said." Alright how do yah wanna do this?"
Sunset instantly looked at Applejack in surprise but was reasurred as she saw the smile Aj had.
Sunset rubbed her nape as she replied." That's the thing actually...I don't know."
"Then we have our work cut out fer us." All three girls got inside the farmhouse to Aj's room where they began their plan.

Sunset paced nervously infront of the cafeteria doors as she keep making excuses to just turn back and maybe do this another day. But Aj and Rainbow weren't having it.
"C'mon,Sunset! We've planned this all night! Your not getting cold feet now are you?" Rainbow Dash exclaimed as she held Sunset's shoulder to look her in the eyes.
"But wha-." Sunset tried to make another excuse as she freed herself from Rainbow's grip but was cut off by AJ.
" Listen,sugarcube. Yah ain't gonna make the situation any better by stalling. Just go in there and sing yer heart out." Applejack encouraged as she turned Sunset to face the doors.
Sunset looked over her shoulder at the two as they gave her a sign to go on inside. She turned back to the front doors and took deep breaths.
As she was about to push open the doors, she got second thoughts again. "How about we ju-."
She didn't get to finish her sentence as she was pushed through the doors and inside the cafeteria.
Sunset scanned the cafeteria for Twilight and saw her with Rarity,Fluttershy,and Pinkie Pie at their regular table,eating and chatting.
Taking a breath, Sunset willed her legs to move as with every step she takes nervousness crept its way under her skin and shot throughout her whole body as she evidently got closer and closer.
And the eyes of her peers wasn't helping since they notice that she wasn't in her usual clothing. But instead she wore jeans with a darker shade from her regular ones, a tangerine shirt, teal overshirt,and converse. And she was also carrying an acoustic guitar.
Sunset got infront of the table and conversation stopped instantly as eight pair of eyes turned towards her.
"Oh, hello darling! Have you seen Rainbow and Applejack anywhere?" Rarity greeted and asked.
"Yeah,their right behind me."
Indeed they were as they waved to the other girls,in which they reciprocated but Twilight's attention was on Sunset. Sunset returned her gaze though and both blush at the other's stare.
Sunset gathered her courage and turned to Twilight and asked." Twilight, there's a song I want you to here and...I hope you accept."
Seeing the confusion in not only Twilight but all the other girls,excluding RD and Aj of course, Sunset started strumming her guitar.
There's a song stuck in my head.
But all the words that go unsaid.
So here I am with all my courage.
To say something without turning red.

I hope the stars are shinning.

Twilight smiled as she swayed to the rhythm of the song as Sunset gave her a smile as she continues to sing.

At the end of the song Sunset was kneeling infront of Twilight as the latter blush a deep shade but she had joyful plastered across her face while the audience around them applauded.
"Twilight, if you don't say yes,I will." Rarity remarked as she was touched by the adorable performance.
Twilight stood up from her seat to look down at Sunset as she happily says." I would love to go out with you,Sunset!"
Sunset stood up also as she smiled at the girl before her as she still find it hard to believe that she said yes.
"Yay! You two go together like cupcakes and hot sauce!" Pinkie cheered as everyone stared at the party girl who in return said. "What, it's delicious!"
Ignoring that, Sunset was just so happy that she scored a date with Twilight as both started making plans for their upcoming date.
