Twilight has awoken the Queen, the god, the mother of the Everfree forest, and she's nothing like what she expected

When Twilight Stumbles upon a cave on her way Zecora's, she awakens something ancient, in fact its the reason the Everfree forest exists in the first place, so when she wakes up an enormous monstrosity half the size of Ponyville, she isn't expecting it to whine at her for waking it and saying it didn't want to go to school today.

The awakening

View Online

Twilight was having a good day.
After the incident with Zecora and the poison joke, Twilight thought she should thank her new friend with some books, so here she was, walking through the Everfree forest with some books she thought Zecora would enjoy floating behind her in her aura. She was deep in thought about the books she was bringing Zecora, wondering if she would like them, doing maths in her head to determine the chance that Zecora would like the books, she was so deep in thought about it, she didn't notice when she started walking off the path, and only stopped when she tripped on a large vine.

Twilight groaned and got up, finally noticing she had no idea where she was, her ears flopping against her head. The last thing anypony should do in the Everfree is get lost. Taking a deep breath before she could panic, she took notice of the oddly colored vine that tripped her. Unlike the rest of the Everfree, which looked sick, dark and decaying, this vine was bright green and healthy, with large bright red thorns covering it. She noticed it lead into a nearby cave that blended in so well she would have never seen it, had there not been a bright green vine coming out of it. Her curiosity getting the better of her she followed the vine into the cave.

To her surprise the cave was very well lit, when she got into the cave she found the the strange vines were everywhere, covering every surface inside the cave, and the thorns were glowing, she'd need to take a sample later and find out when they glowed and when they didn't because she was sure they weren't glowing outside and had found no sign of anything that could produce light in the thorns. It was fascinating, the deeper into the cave she went the thicker the vines became, a couple were as thick as tree trunks and the thorns as big as her hooves. she stopped when the tunnel suddenly opened into a large chamber that resembled ancient castle ruins, and it was a large chamber, she couldn't even see the other end! Before she could wonder who built it though, something in the center of the camber caught her attention

In the center of chamber, there was what looked like a large, box shaped, device of some kind. The side that was facing her was made of glass, while the rest of it was made of some kind of plastic. eager to learn about something unknown to Equestria, she rushed over to it and started examining every detail. She quickly discovered the button at the bottom of the glass face of the device, she was Waring in her mind whether or not to push the button or not. On one hoof this could be dangerous, on the other, For Science! it didn't take long for her to decide after that and she pushed the button, eagerly waiting for what would happen.

There was a low whirring noise that lasted a few seconds before a blinding white light came from the glass face of the device, causing twilight to slam her eyes shut and stumble back onto her haunches. When she opened her eyes she shrunk back in shock and fear, in front of her was a colossal creature that looked like a mish mash of plant life, metal and flesh. With horror, she realized, the device she had turned on was at the center of it, the glass glowing bright white, a simplistic smiley face appearing on it, before the lines it had for eyes split open, revealing red sclera and bright green iris, before it let out a bone chilling laugh and she screamed, frozen in fear at the monstrosity.

She was shaking hard for a few minutes before she realized she wasn't dead yet, so, very slowly and nervously, she popped open one of her eyes, and was shocked by what she saw. Suddenly the colossal monstrosity was lying down in front of her, a cute tired face on the screen, the face on the screen had large, childlike eyes, and short fangs, and looked like it had just been woken up from a nap. It started mumbling tiredly in a high pitched voice, sounding like a child "mooom, I don't want to go to school today...let me go back to sleep..." she opened her eyes and tilted her head in confusion 'school? it almost seems like...' her eyes widened in shock is this thing only a child?!.

In the middle of her shock, she failed to realize that the being had woken up properly and was staring at her, when she did realize, she was slightly nervous, talking to this colossal, possible, child "um...hello?" she said, waving her hoof at the thing. Suddenly she felt herself being pulled towards the thing, when she stopped, she found herself being hugged against the face of the creature by two giant, arm like ,vines, with 3 ,large, red thorns on the end of each one, acting as fingers. "PONY!" the creature squealed in delight, she tried to pull back from the creature and noticed that its eyes were sparkling, and it was smiling from ear to ear (if it had ears that is) as it stared at and hugged her. "Um, can you put me down?" she spoke as loud as she could so the thing could hear her, its eyes widened in realization and it blushed, before putting her back on the ground and patting her on the head gently with one of it gigantic arms, before going back to staring at her.

She shuffled uncomfortably from one hoof to the other before looking back up to the large being "so, whats your name? what are you doing here?" she asked, wondering why a sentient creature was down here, this deep underground in some old ruins. It took on a thoughtful expression, before answering her "well, my name was acacia, though I guess its flowey now? its confusing...but call me flowey! Queen, mother and creator of the Everfree forest!" it said Proudly, while Twilight's eyes widened in horror "What!? why would you create something so horrible and dangerous?!" she shouted at flowey, who suddenly looked upset "what are you talking about? I created the Everfree to be a place of peace and harmony, meant to protect Equestria!" flowey's eyes widened in realization before her expression turned to dread as the vines around them started moving, shooting through the stone ceiling towards the surface.

Not long after, flowey's expression turned to shock, before it turned to sadness and worry, like a mother that had seen their foal come home with a severe injury. "no no no, what happened to my baby, who did this two you? shh, what happened?" flowey started talking like she would to a child, and to Twilight, what she thought was a child suddenly seemed much older and motherly, with how she was acting, it sort of reminded her of Celestia. She suddenly realized flowey was crying as she was speaking, grief and sorrow heavy in her voice. Twilight suddenly felt bad for saying what she did as she realized what this possibly meant, the Everfree used to be a force of good, peace and harmony, created by flowey, but while flowey was asleep, something came along and corrupted the Everfree, turning it into a evil and dangerous place where few would dare tread.

She suddenly heard a loud smash on both sides of her, she looked up and saw flowey right in her face with an expression of pure anger and hate "who did it?" Twilight was suddenly very nervous, here was a mother who had just seen her child had been twisted and corrupted, didn't know who did it, and was very angry, and if there's one thing you never do, its make a mother angry. "I-I don't know" she said shrinking back and trying to escape. Flowey growled and moved past her dragging herself to the side of the cave, before she reeled back her gigantic, vine-like arm, and smashed it into the side of the cave, cracks spider webbing across the wall, she did it again, and again, and again, until there was a large hole in the wall that she could fit through, and she started digging, leaving Twilight alone in the chamber.

As flowey dug through the earth and stone towards the surface, she dug faster, and faster, until she was practically swimming through the dirt, because she was angry. she was guilty. she was sad. but most of all, she wanted revenge.

Her arms were tired.

Her Stomach was empty.

But she was running on rage.

As she got closer to the surface she started saying the same thing over and over again, "who did it?" getting louder each time. When she finally got to the surface, she pulled herself out of the ground, towering over the Everfree and Ponyville, and let out a roar that could be heard across Equestria.

"WHO CORRUPTED MY EVERFREE!?"

The Rage of a grieving mother

View Online

She tore up the earth underneath her as she dragged herself towards the town in a blind rage, her mechanical parts steaming and her screen flashing and glitching violently, between expressions of rage, sorrow and confusion.

Pony's were already running and screaming about the giant monstrosity that had come to destroy their town, while the rare one or two were staying behind to try and fight the monster, be they brave, stupid or both.

She didn't pay attention to any of that, she was too blinded by emotion to do anything but destroy to the best of her ability, and she wouldn't be stopping anytime soon.

*Meanwhile in Canterlot*

You know, Celestia had been having a good day so far (bar the half of the day dealing with greedy nobles) up until now.

She had been sitting in the dinning room, enjoying some cake, when she felt a massive burst of energy coming from the direction of ponyville, and it was what the energy felt like that worried her.

She got the same feeling from it that she got whenever the elements of harmony were used, but, somehow, it felt...angry, angry and full of grief over somepony lost, somepony very dear to them.

The Implications behind that worried her to no end, and she quickly stood up and set off for ponyville, hoping she was wrong.

*Back to rampaging flowey mother a short while later

She had already destroyed part of the town, she think she backhanded a few Pegasus as well, she wasn't sure, she was too consumed by her anger, which was slowly wearing down, being replaced by sorrow and grief.

She felt her hand smash through another pony's house, and only realized what she was doing, when she heard crying.

Her gaze drifted down to the house she had just destroyed, and the what she saw made her heart sink with guilt as her eyes widened.

There was a foal, no more than a baby. it was sitting in its crib, crying loudly, with a brown hoof sticking out from some rubble nearby, twitching occasionally.

Her rage quickly gave way for guilt as her eyes drifted across the rest of the destruction she had wrought in her rage.

Destroyed homes, pony's running and screaming, pony's buried under ruble and injured. Tears ran down her screen as guilt flooded her heart at the sight of the destruction, destruction she had caused.

She slowly brought up her hands in front of her face, they were shaking. she had hurt innocent pony's, pony's who had nothing to do with what happened to her children. she had terrified and probably traumatized foals.

She suddenly felt a strong presence nearby, the closest thing she could compare it to was the sun, she turned to look at whatever had arrived, her guilt still very much present.

In front of her was a beautiful sight, a large pony who had large majestic wings, a long horn on her head and a beautiful mane that billowed in non existent wind, her aura was like that of the sun and was immensely powerful, she could probably give her a run for her money if they fought, which it looked like the way it was going if the steely expression on her face was anything to go by.

"Creature, you have no right to hurt my little pony's, leave, or you will face the consequences" the white alicorn said in a cold tone of voice.

She slowly turned back to the small part of town she had destroyed, and silently started to repair the town to the best of her ability, large bright green vines with red thorns sticking out of them sprouting from the ground and pulling rubble off of pony's and rebuilding the houses out of vines and trees that sprouted from the ground and quickly grew into the shapes of walls and roofs, rebuilding the houses in a matter of seconds, and all of the injured pony's gathered in the center of town, quickly healed by her healing magic.

She silently dragged herself back towards the Everfree, while the white alicorn started in shock at how quick all of the destruction had been undone, when she heard something nearby, it sounded like...crying, she turned towards where it was coming from, and saw something that made her blood boil, and her guilt and sorrow grow even further.

She quickly dragged herself up to the white alicorn, a enraged expression on her face, the white alicorn getting into a defensive stance in the air, her horn starting to glow.

She stopped in front of the alicorn, before speaking "And what gives your ponies the right to defile my children's body's?!" She screamed, tears flowing down her face from cracks in her screen, before dragging herself towards her suffering child, missing the look of shock and disgust at the accusation that her ponies would do such a thing, before watching where the large plant being was going.

She slowly laid a hand on the hollowed out tree turned into a library, she softly spoke to it, like one would a child "shh, shh, its going to be okay, mamas here now" she softly spoke to the tree, trying to comfort it "...it hurts so m-much, she heard her child say, and rage filled her.

"it's okay now, mamas gonna be back in just a minute" she said, holding back the rage in her voice for the sake of her child.

Her child panicked "no! please don't leave me! you've been gone for so l-long... her child said, making her feel even guiltier, before wrapping her arms around her child, "and I'm sorry for that" she started sobbing, resting her head against her child gently "I'm so...so...sorry" she quickly pulled herself together, for the sake of her children "but mamas gotta make things right" she said, a steely expression on her face.

She turned back to the white alicorn, who had a confused and a small, well hidden dread in her expression.

She spoke out loudly, her voice booming across town, getting the attention of everypony in town, just as a certain six galloped into town, the purple one looking up in dread at what she had caused.

"PONY'S OF THIS LAND! I AM FLOWEY, CREATOR, GOD AND MOTHER OF THE EVERFREE!, I HAVE LAID DORMANT FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS, AND I HOPED TO RETURN TO A PEACEFUL LAND! BUT NAY! YOU HAVE DEFILED MY CHILDREN, AND CORRUPTED THEM TO THERE VERY CORE!" she laid her hand against the the trunk of her suffering child, letting her voice play clear across the town through her speakers, constant cry's of pain and agony, coming from a small child, pony's around town looked mortified at the noise "DO YOU HEAR HER PONY'S?! DO YOU HEAR HER CONSTANT SUFFERING?! IT WAS CAUSED BY YOU, YOU TOOK MY PRECIOUS CHILD, AND HOLLOWED OUT HER INSIDES!, BUT THAT WASN'T ENOUGH FOR YOU! INSTEAD OF LETTING HER DIE, YOU FORCED HER TO STAY ALIVE! CONSTANTLY SUFFERING IN PAIN AND AGONY!, AND YOU HAD THE GALL TO LIVE IN HER!, I'M ASHAMED OF YOU!" all the pony's looked mortified and ashamed at what they had been told, she turned to the white alicorn, who looked much the same with much more guilt mixed in "AND YOU!" she pointed at the princess, rage present in her expression "YOU SAID YOU RULED OVER THESE PONY'S! I KNOW HOW LONG ALICORNS LIVE FOR! YOU LET THIS HAPPEN! YOU LET THEM DEFILE MY CHILDREN!" she dragged herself right up to the princess, and felt new energy beneath that aura, its was very faint, but all to familiar, and it made her realize who was responsible for the corruption of the everfree.

In her rage, she grabbed the alicorn and held her up to her face, tears still streaming down her face "YOU! YOU TOOK THE ELEMENTS OF HARMONY! YOU CORRUPTED MY CHILDREN!" she screamed at the alicorn, who looked severely confused.

Celestia was very confused and scared right now, she had arrived, fearing something had happened to the elements of harmony, only to find a great abomination, who had attacked the town.

Now it turned out that this thing had created the everfree and ponyvilles library, who it turned out was sentient and suffering, caused by pony hoof! something she felt immensely guilty about, that she had let a child suffer for hundreds of years.

But now the being was even more angry, saying she had taken the elements of harmony and corrupted her children, did she mean the everfree?.

Suddenly a horrifying though came to mind, one that made the energy spike from earlier make sense.

She hesitantly looked up at the brooding mother in front of her, dread filling her voice "did you... create the tree of harmony?" she didn't want it to be true, it couldn't be.

The beings expression grew nostalgic and sad "She was my first child, I crafted her with care and all my heart and souls, I made her a protector, so she could protect all my children, and embued her with all the elements of my being"

"honesty" an orange glow appeared appeared behind her, along with a small orange heart, Celestia's eyes widened when she realized what she was looking at, a soul, a pure soul, made entirely of honesty.

"Kindness" a green glow lit up on the other side of her as another soul appeared.

"laughter" a blue glow lit up, and another soul appeared.

"generosity" a purple glow lit up, another soul.

"loyalty" a red glow lit up, and another soul.

"and finally, magic" the last glow was a bright pink, and a pink soul

They all suddenly disappeared, and floweys expression turned back to rage " but then, THEN! YOU CAME AND TOOK THEM FROM HER! SHE COULDN'T DO HER JOB ANYMORE! AND NOW, MY THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN HAVE BEEN CORRUPTED!" she swept her other other arm towards the everfree, as the pony's, and especially the new bearers of the elements of harmony, looked on in shock, at the creator of Equestrias main source of protection from villains and tyrants.

Celestia looked out at the forest with immense shame and guilt at the sight, before turning back to the angry, brooding mother.

Celestia slowly started speaking in a soft voice "I know there is no way I can make this up to you, to apologize for the fate of your children, but I would like to try" she said, guilt filling her voice.

Flowey continued to glare at her, before slowly putting her down and snorting in annoyance "you can start by returning the elements of harmony" Celestia's guilt was overriding her sense of reason, for she just silently nodded.

Flowey nodded, before turning around and dragging herself towards one of her children, hoping to ease her pain, and heal her.

Celestia slowly took to the air, flying in the direction of the elements of harmony, guilt heavy on her mind.

This guilt would hang with her for the rest of her immortal life.

THIS CHAPTER ISN'T CANNON TO THE STORY! A.K.A The everfree queen encounters the rainbow factory

View Online

The queen of the Everfree was relaxing in her forest among her children, close to the tree of harmony, when something faintly pushed faintly against her mind, she almost didn't notice, but she noticed it just it time to feel its intentions.

And what she found worried her.

Their emotions were frantic, fear, panic, confusion and betrayal were prominent, along with hopelessness, but it was the way the message felt that disturbed her.

It felt broken, fractured. She had only gotten a telepathic message of this like this 2 or 3 times before and in a land like Equestria, there was good reason. The only time someone got a telepathic message like this was if someones mind was so close to breaking, the higher brain functions unlocked, and sent out a message to the one they trusted most and felt would be able to help them.

As she got through the last of the message, her heart froze as she found out who it was.

Scootaloo.

Her blood slowly started to boil as she processed the information, Scootaloo was a small orange pegasus pony with a purple mane, and being the adventurous little one that she was, was one of the first to come and visit her in the forest after her and the pony's had achieved peace.

She and Scootaloo quickly formed a strong mother, daughter bond, Scootaloo not having parents and her having such a strong motherly nature, and Scootaloo always visited her once a day, telling her about her day at school, or how she had attempted to get her cutie mark today, flowey occasionally scolding her if what she did was dangerous, or telling her to go apologize to somepony if she broke some of their property in the process.

Scootaloo was as much her child as the rest of them, and the last time she had heard from Scootaloo was a day or two ago when she went for her flying test, she thought the test just took a long time, but no, someone had taken her daughter and had done god knows what to her, and now she was at the breaking point.

Her blood was boiling, her screen was glitching from the enraged expression on her face and her mechanical parts were starting to glow red and steam.

She quickly started dragging herself through the dirt, much in the same state as when she had first awoken from her slumber and found the Everfree corrupted.

She was dragging her self in the direction she felt the message push against her mind, and it was in the sky.

It felt like she had been going for hours, but her rage hadn't dissipated, in fact it was stronger than ever as she finally reached the spot under where her daughter, she was shocked to find it was Cloudsdale.

She quickly shook away her shock, her rage crushing it as she started lifting herself up to the city with her vines, the vines as tough as steel and the thorns glowing red.

When she finally reached the location of her Scootaloo, it was in a large, industrial looking building, on the edge of Cloudsdale, hidden behind large buildings.

She glared at the building and slithered up to one of the windows, before staring on in shock in horror at what she was seeing.

There was dozens, possibly hundreds, of pony's in cages, depressed, fearful and confused, conveyor belts holding colorless pony corpses, massive body piles, pony's being strapped to steel tables and being impaled with a large needle, sucking out everything that made up that pony, before being dumped onto the piles of corpses, and latter disposed of by a large steel crusher.

She shook with rage at the sight, before quickly looking around for the sick, twisted pony's doing this, before being shocked that, the one giving the orders was rainbow dash, up on a high steel platform, with a sadistic, psychotic grin on her face.

She couldn't believe it, someone she had grown to call friend, someone she had grown to care about, was a sick twisted psychopath.

Her rage boiled over again, before her heart froze when she saw one particular pony.

Scootaloo.

She was cowering in the corner of the cage, her hair ragged and dirty, and needle marks all over her body, still bleeding.

She completely lost it, and tore off the roof of the sadistic, torture house.

All the pony's inside looked shocked, and the pony's in the cages look hopeful at the sudden appearance of the queen of the Everfree.
But the most shocked looking was rainbow dash, especially as the queen of the Everfree started tearing down the walls of the factory, roaring in rage, before grabbing the pony's running the factory, who were trying to escape, before crushing them, and impaling them on vines, blood splattering across her body and vines, bits and pieces of pony sticking to the enraged god.

Rainbow tried to get away, but never even got close to escaping.

A vine with extra sharp thorns on it wrapped around her, the thorns digging into her flesh as she was slowly brought up to the face of the enraged mother, queen, god and now executioner.

The expression on her face was cold, hate in her eyes, if looks could kill, she would be so far under, you'd never find her.

The gods face came out just like her expression, cold, fill of hate, but her voice had and effect like to people were speaking at once, one of them the normal feminine high pitched voice, but the other was a male high pitched voice that sounded naturally sadistic.

"You" She explained hatefully "You locked up, tortured and killed hundreds of pony's, but worst of all, you did it to my daughter She said, gesturing to her daughter, who was now looking up at her, still shaking, but she had a disbelieving, hopeful look on her face.

Rainbow dash spat at the god and laughed " So what? They don't deserve the wings they bare, why not put them to a better use?" She asked, a sadistic insane grin on her face.

She grew angry, tightening her grip on rainbow as her rage started to reach its limit, she slowly reached her vines towards all the doors on the cages and crushed them into scrap metal, before turning to the pony's looking up at their savior.

"get out of here, leave and never come back, go to a doctor, get better, tell the princesses, the guards, somebody, and please, take care of my daughter while I deal with this..." she slowly turned back to look at rainbow, who was glaring at her with a insane smile on her face "filth".

The pony's nodded, praising their savior and rushing out, one of them taking Scootaloo with them on their back, who was looking back at her and rainbow, still shaking and had a conflicted and hopeful expression on her face.

She turned back to the leaving Scootaloo quickly and sliced a finger across her throat, in a gesture everyone knew, before gesturing to rainbow, who was still glaring and smiling.

The last thing she saw of Scootaloo, was her with a sad expression, before slowly nodding and closing her eyes, before she was carried out of the remains of the building.

She turned back to rainbow dash, and started imitating a certain spirit of vengeance.

"Your soul has been stained by the blood of the innocent, look into my eyes" she growled in a low tone, before bringing rainbow dash right up to her eyes, which had become black voids.

Rainbow laughed, though she could tell rainbow was nervous by how it sounded "what, that supposed to do something? You don't scare me!" she yelled, before looking around in confusion when the god had just disappeared, she looked around, and noticed she was no longer in the remains of the factory, but in a black abyss.

Suddenly from nearby she heard a bone chilling laugh, and turned around, and saw something terrifying.

It had appeared in a flash of blood red light and on it screen was a simple smiley face, before the lines for eyes split open in eyes with red sclera and green iris.

It looked like the god, but what was terrifying about it was the aura it gave off, instead of the normal motherly aura, or how she was when she was angry, this thing felt like it was nothing but sadism, blood lust and greed.

Suddenly, hundreds of red bullets appeared around her, and shot towards her.

The last thing she heard it say, was in a demonic mockery of her own voice

"you don't deserve those wings you bare"

Then, she was gone, dead, killed by the embodiment of her own soul.

The rainbow factory was no more.
